Such a beautiful venue, the staff was AMAZING!! For anyone looking for the best wedding venue on Long Island.. in NEW YORK, look no further! the staff and the castle made this the most perfect setting for marrying the man of my dreams!

Had my wedding here and it could not have been more perfect! The venue is stunning, the staff are extremely professional and efficient, and the entire event felt like fairy tale come to life. I have nothing but the best things to say about all the staff that helped throughout the process from the visiting tour to check out the morning after. Alyssa is incredible and has the answers to everything wedding related, Steve is wonderful and set up the room block and morning-after breakfast for us, Kathy our banquet manager made sure the day went off without a hitch, Sam managed all the final details for the big day and took into account all the accommodations we required, Serena and Vinny did their utmost to make sure we didn't lift a finger on our special day and managed everything for us. Throughout all the planning there was always someone there to help answer any questions I had and everyone was very easy to get in contact with whether by phone or email. It never took longer than a day to hear back. If anything needed to be scheduled, whether a tour, tasting, cake design it was always done efficiently. All the staff were also incredibly kind and friendly. I never heard a bad word from them or felt any attitude or judgement. Instead they were super accommodating and truly tried their best to make our special day perfect. They even took into consideration all of our covid requests and precautions and made rescheduling our wedding from the year before a breeze. All our guests were stunned with the castle itself, the service throughout the event, the delicious dinner, gorgeous wedding cake and incredible dessert cafe. If you want to have your wedding in a truly magical venue, this is the place for you!

We had our wedding ceremony and lunch at Oheka Castle and it was beautiful. The day was more than we could have asked for. Kathy and Kelly were a pleasure to plan, ensured everything went flawlessly, and I really appreciate how flexible they were. The staff was friendly and very responsive as well! What a beautiful day we had at Oheka! Not only is the venue breathtaking but the team there makes you feel like absolute royalty! We had an amazing experience at Oheka. We planned the entire wedding outside and it was a beautiful setting. All the staff were wonderful to work with. We’re very fortunate to have been able to celebrate our marriage at such a unique place.

From start to finish you are treated like royalty, security , superior service. The owner Gary M.greets you and makes you feel like family. We had dinner celebrating my Dad's 89th seating with a view of the breath taking gardens. The drinks were quality made, the food delicious and cooked to perfection. You can spend hours there touring the grounds, have a drink at the bar, photo opportunities and just fall in love.

My wedding couldn’t have been anymore perfect! OHEKA is a fairytale. The staff was amazing! Patti,Kathy, Kelly, Alyssa and Amy I can’t thank them enough for my making this day happen for me. This was an out of state wedding for me, but they took care of every detail. The owner Gary is so personable and such a sweet heart. My guest were so impressed and continue to talk about how it was the most amazing they have been too.

I am a Wedding Planner for MODE Events based in Chicago, and I had a couple who got married at Oheka Castle a few weeks ago. The day-of staff was very helpful. I really appreciated that they had someone from their team designated as a Groom's Attendant/Butler and Bridal Attendant/Lady in Waiting. This really helped me and my team focus on managing all of the vendors and focus on the details of the big day. Everyone was very quick to jump in and help.

I would love to have many more Weddings here. The property is stunning, and I should mention that the food is fantastic, as well. Thank you for everything!!

Oheka was everything I ever could have hoped and dreamed for! First, they were the ONLY venue that we visited that would allow us to guarantee a 125 person minimum, and we visited at least 10 venues and contacted more! We didn't want a huge wedding and Oheka was totally receptive to that. Every other venue we looked at had a 175-200 minimum AT THE SAME PRICE per person and refused to budge! They were always responsive to my emails and calls during the planning process. Starting from the night before the wedding, I was treated like a princess. Our wedding was on a Friday and no one was staying in the Olmsted Suite the night before, so they offered to let me stay in the room the night before the wedding for free! I ran around the huge suite like a maniac I was so excited! The day of the wedding, I was greeted with breakfast and pitchers of iced coffee! The bridal attendant, Patty, was super helpful in running interference with vendors while I was getting ready, talking to my husband for me, and keeping guests away while we were doing our first look. We took pictures on the grounds during cocktail hour and when we were done we were taken to a room and there were plates with some of everything from cocktail hour for us so we didn't miss the food! I was completely taken care of throughout the whole night so I could enjoy myself. My husband and I were also allowed to have all three entrees for dinner! Daniel Andreotti, the pastry chef, is so talented and the dessert cafe and cake were a HUGE hit! We had a brunch the next day with omelet & waffle stations, and the woman who had brought my breakfast the day before remembered how I liked my iced coffee and brought me another pitcher! It's a small gesture, but just proved how much they care for their brides even the day after the wedding! Thank you to Rick, Samantha, Patty, Kathy, JJ, Steve and everyone else who helped me have the greatest, most beautiful and special day of my life!

We got married at Oheka Castle in September 2017 and our wedding day was perfect thanks to the beautiful venue and first-class service. We chose Oheka for the gorgeous ballrooms, beautiful gardens, location right outside of NYC and its policy of one wedding a day.

Kelly was a pleasure to work with. We had countless questions throughout our planning process and Kelly was always patient with us and helped make the process so easy. On the day of the wedding, Kathy (banquet manager), Darlene (bridal attendant) and the groom’s attendant helped make the day run seamlessly. They were always ten steps ahead of us and all the details the day of the wedding fell into place without us thinking about them. We also booked ~10 hotel rooms for our families and Steven was so great to work with. He was very responsive and flexible with our room requests which changed often. Our families were in awe of how beautiful the suites were - we felt like we were in a museum in Europe!

The food during the cocktail hour and reception were spectacular thanks to Chef Chris. Our guests were so impressed by the quantity, quality and variety of the food throughout the night. A few guests actually thought that the cocktail hour was dinner because there was so much food. We also want to thank Pastry Chef Daniel who is a pastry genius. Chef Daniel made our gorgeous wedding cake with fondant, lace designs and sugar flowers – our jaws literally dropped when we saw the cake. Not only was the cake beautiful, but it was delicious with yellow cake and dulche de leche and chocolate mousse frostings. The dessert café was the grand finale to the night. Our guests were stunned when they saw the dessert café full of every possible dessert imaginable. After our wedding, we received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful our wedding was thanks to the beautiful grounds at Oheka, amazing food, white glove service and flawless execution. We hope to be back at Oheka soon!

My husband and I are both in the military so we had a limited to to put this wedding together. Oheka Castle moved some things around and gave me a date and put everything together for us. I felt like a princess with her prince in this castle. My wedding could not have turned out any more perfect. The staff was by my sid every step of the way making sure it was a flawless day.

What an amazing day! From start to finish the Castle was everything we dreamed about. It was a true fairy tale wedding. A Big Thank You to Gary and Kelly Melius who from start to finish were just wonderful people to work with and left us with a stress free day! A huge Thank You to all the staff from when you enter with the valet to every person on the floor. Both our Grooms’ attendant and Bridal attendant were outstanding! The food and desserts were incredible and our hats off to both Chris the chef and Daniel the pastry chef. What an incredible experience to get married at the castle! Absolutely the most amazing place to get married, worth every penny and such an outstanding and kind staff.

The staff at Oheka are some of the nicest, most professional people I have met in the wedding planning process. Daniel, the hotel manager, was very responsible and dependable. John and Kelly in sales were extremely nice, straight forward, honest and helpful during the entire process. Although not cheap at all, I felt this was the best money I ever spent to have such a perfect wedding at such a perfect venue.

I can't express how perfect and beautiful everything my wedding was at Oheka Castle. We have been getting nothing but compliments from our guests about the outstanding food, drinks and service provided. Our guests were so excited to be attending a wedding at Oheka Castle and it definitely exceeded everyone's expectations. Kathy, Patty, John and Charles went above and beyond to ensure that we, along with our parents, had everything we needed that day, allowing us to have a completely stress free time. We spent a year planning our wedding and was reluctant to leave the day of set up in anyone's else's hands but Kathy's team did an amazing job making our wedding vision come to life. Since it is hard for the bride and groom to eat at the wedding, they made sure we had a little bit of everything from cocktail hour before we were introduced to the reception. When the party was over and we went to our bridal suite they had a sample of all of the entres, along with dessert. It was so nice to enjoy our meals together and reflect on the wonderful time we had. I highly recommend Oheka Castle, it was worth every penny!

I just had my wedding at Oheka Castle and I have to say it was the most beautiful and perfect day of my life! Everything, everyone, every detail was EXCELLENT. Oheka Castle is breathtakingly stunning and unique. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The rooms are very clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and professional. My bridal attendant named Darleen was extremely helpful and a life-saver! She was there by my side whenever I needed her. She even wrapped food for the groom and me when we were so busy we didn't have a chance to eat. We wanted to have the ceremony outside but because of the wind we decided to do it inside with very short notice. They made it happen very quickly and the ceremony turned out to be intimate and so beautiful as the sun was setting. The cocktail hour and reception food was EXCELLENT. All of our guests were in complete awe of the whole experience! I couldn't have imagined the whole experience being more perfect! It's expensive but worth it!

AMAZING! I could not have picked a better place! From the staff, food, rooms available for guests, location and everything in between, they made this process of getting married effortless! Like most brides I had many questions and with the help from Kelly, Christie, Kathy, Steven and Carol they answered all of them regardless of how silly the question was or if they had been asked the same question a million times. Not once did I feel like a burden or they were uninterested and if they were not able to answer the phone they always called or emailed me with the answer to my question. The chef has to be one of the nicest, most genuine people I have come in contact with. One of the best things about getting married at this location is the fact for that day the castle is all yours to enjoy with family and friends (you're not one of 6 wedding happening that day or bumping into other guests that are staying on the property watching your ceremony because a wedding isn't a spectacle it's a private, memorable, and precious moment that is to be cherished). And I can not wait for my wedding day in April!

Great for an indoor winter wedding, even though you can't use the grounds (because of all the snow). Very luxurious and photos came out gorgeous. Wedding coordinator and staff you deal with to book are great. I wasn't too happy with my butler service the day off the wedding. My shoes and clutch were taken to our suite (you get the bridal suite with your wedding) and no one told me. So first I thought my purse was taken (mini heart attack, I had lots of cash in there for tips) then I had to walk barefoot all the way back to my room. But, beautiful memories in a great place. The food was amazing. We customized cocktail hour and our cake made on site and was stunning.

Oheka Castle is the an exceptional venue and my daighter's wedding was awesome. Can't express how outstanding the entire staff was in making my daighter's vision a reality! Oheka is the perfect venue for a once-in-a-lifetime wedding event!!!

Definitely had a wedding for a King and Queen, and it was everything I could have ever imaged, and hoped it would be!

What an amazing job Daniel from Oheka Castle did with my wedding cake. You would have to see and taste it to believe. I didn't even have to tell him exactly what I wanted and he gave it to me! Outstanding!!!!

This venue was top notch and the service was unbelieveable. The coordinators were more amazing then I could ever ask for and they know their stuff! The food was beyond amazing and delicious! The ceremony site by the gardens is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Everyone who works there goes above and beyond to make the day special, and just staying at the castle in general. Absolutely worth every penny.

WOW!!!!!!! That is all I need to write as that sums up the absolutely AMAZING wedding cake Chef Daniel created for my wedding day! I left it entirely up to him to design and only sent a couple photos of ideas (which were 4 completely different designs mind you!) and he managed to take a little bit of each design and turn it into the most beautiful creation! From the day I met Chef Daniel he was the most down to earth and friendly person and his cake (and all the desserts he makes too) are just out of this world amazing and I cannot say enough good things about him and his work! Thank you soooo much I was so impressed and happy to see such a stunning cake at my reception! Thank you Chef Daniel you are the best!!!

Oheka Castle was our dream location! From start to finish it was a fairytale. Someone from Oheka was always in touch leading up to the wedding, making sure all the details were set. The service day of was incredible, someone always ready and eager to help. The food was delicious and the cake they made was outrageous! I wish I could do it all again. Our friends and family say it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to - nothing comes close to Oheka!

I can't say enough of goods things about Oheka Castle and the staff that works there. From day one when we booked with Rick the staff truly treats you like family! We had our wedding on a Friday and the entire Castle was booked with our family and friends. Daryl in charge of room reservation was great making sure our guests were able to get a room. When you have a wedding at Oheka it is not just a hotel/wedding reception it is a family home and you are treated that way when you are there! The food was amazing and my guest after the cocktail hour could not believe that there was actually going to be more food! Oheka even added a special requests of ours to have mac and cheese and lobster at the cocktail hour, which was what my husband and I had on one of our first dates which made it personnel..thank you Kathy for making sure that happened. The wedding cake and the desserts are amazing as well! Daniel the pastrey Chef is a VERY talented man. He sits down with you about a 2 months before the wedding and designs your cake! And if you can believe it the cake looks gorgeous and tastes even better!! We can't say thank you enough to the sister's Kathy and Patty who were our handlers during the wedding. Anything that we needed they did for us! They made sure everything ran smoothly and everything was absolutely perfect. The owner Gary Melius is a true gentleman who you may see walking his dog around the grounds (his home). We can't say thank you enough to the Oheka Staff making our wedding a true fairy tale! We got married on October 11, 2013 , and our guest are still talking about what amazing experience they all had at Oheka Castle!

Yes, Oheka Castle is beautiful! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and ultra exclusive. We had the entire castle to ourselves for the entire day and night, I really didn't want anything to do with a "wedding factory" sorta venue so this was perfect for me. Very pricey so don't get your hopes up unless you have a budget that is... well, nonexistent. I love the place so much that my husband had to promise to have our vows renewed there too. Very professional and all around exquisite!

Best venue on Long Island, in the state, in the country!

It's no wonder why Oheka Castle is consistently rated #1, and has even featured many celebrity events. Food is amazing (even your guests will say "Wait, there's a DINNER after this!?"). Service is excellent, and the pastry chef makes the best desserts you will ever eat.

Make sure you read up on some of the venue's history too. Charlie Chaplin and F. Scott Fitzgerald used to party here back in the day, and it's still the second largest private residence in the U.S.

Having our wedding at Oheka Castle was truly a dream come true. The natural beauty of the castle is by itself breathtaking. The quality of the food, service, and caring nature of every staff member created a night that people will be talking about for decades!

They made our wedding day feel like a fairytale. They are expensive...and the add-on are extremely pricey. It was worth every penny.

There are not enough good things to say about Oheka Castle. Not only is it a picturesque and absolute dream venue, but the Melius family who owns it and all of the staff that work there are extremely nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our experience the perfect day that it was. Our event went outside of the box of what they normally do, but they were extremely helpful in making our vision become a reality.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Oheka went ABOVE and BEYOND all I could have ever expected and imagined. Guest are STILL talking about my wedding. Everyone couldnt believe how GORGEOUS Oheka is and how DELICIOUS the food was. QUALITY and SERVICE is a 10! The assistant they provided me with NEVER left my side and helped me the ENTIRE evening! OHEKA is by far the BEST! If you want a dream wedding, Oheka is the place to have it!

Oheka Castle made my dream wedding come true and allowed my husband and I to have an amazing stress free time at our wedding! My bridal attendant Kathy took care of EVERYTHING so perfectly. The way they organized everything made the night flow perfectly. They even took my husband and I aside in between the cocktail hour and reception so that we could eat some of the cocktail food and have a few minutes to ourselves. At the end of the night we were both so hungry and to our suprise they had brought up samples of food from dinner and dessert to our room! Our guest were completly wowed by the venue and we have even recevied cards from our guest letting us know how amazing our wedding was! Thank you Oheka!

The most amazing venue and people. The wedding was everything I hoped and dreamed of and more. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour food and service, to the reception and the most magnificent wedding cake you can dream of. It was like living in a fantasy!

I just have to say 2 things. I wish Oheka would have taken the food my husband and I couldn't eat during the wedding and have it delivered to our room, because we were STARVED!! We paid for all this great food and didn't get a chance to eat it. Also we got the wrong cake tier. We were looking forward to the 24K gold.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful wedding we had, Kelly and John were absolutely amazing. Our guests were blown away and still to date talk about it. The coordination John provided to our DJ with the meals as well as all the introductions/speeches and dances were on point . All our pictures came out perfect thanks to John’s direction to our photographer as well. I think the best part, other than the food , was that my fiancée and I actually spent more time enjoying ourselves with our guests than having to worry about anything since all the basics were covered thanks to the amazing staff. Our personal assistants were the highlight of our evening as they not only ensured a worry-free event but kept us calm and full of champagne reminding us to relax and enjoy our big day. The service was impeccable and our wedding was a day I will never forget and will always look back fondly thanks to Oheka.

An absolutely astonishing location. Great accomodations. The rooms were a little on the pricey side but the staff was well equiped to accomodate any wish. The venue had a set process of booking and if it wasnt followed exactly some confusion would arise but all in all they were very flexible and quick to respond. For the type of venue (Castle Style Wedding) the price was great!!! Provided the cocktail hour catering with great station selection and the food was top notch. They have an in house cake designer who designed a cake that all the guests are still talking about. Cannot be compared to any other venue I have ever been to.

This was the most fantastic location, especially in the nice weather. The outdoor features of Oheka are breathtaking. Many people at my wedding commented that they felt they were in a Jane Austen movie. They brought the lawn furniture out for the cocktail hour and people were lounging on beautiful cushioned chairs. Champagne was flowing. I had a bridal attendant fixed my hair when it need to be, she held my make-up, ran up to my room when my feet started to hurt to grab my flats, she reminded me to eat and got me food. My husband had an equally attentive attendant for himself.
The food was particularly awesome. My bosses and work friends are foodies and they are not complimentary when they don't mean it and they were still talking about the food when I returned from my honeymoon. They are the type of people who assume that there will never be good food at a wedding. They were surprised to be impressed.
There are 32 rooms, which is very convenient. It is nice not to be obligated to shuttle people to another hotel. They also have a great brunch the day after the wedding.
If it is in your budget I wouldnt think twice about having your wedding at Oheka. In my estimation nothing compares and you can cut costs elswhere.

They were absolutely wonderful. We truly were able to enjoy every minute of our wedding because they were always thinking one step ahead of us. I couldn't say there was one thing I would change about my wedding day and it was because of the helpful staff at Oheka. Eveyone is there to make sure your day is perfect.

Everything was FABULOUS- Food, staff and grounds were all excellent. I think their pricing is very fair considering what you get and the fact that they don't try to upcharge with you extras. Everyone was raving about the Food and how attentive the wait staff was. The banquet managers and bridal attendants are all amazing and have everything under control so you can enjoy yourself on your wedding and not be worried about minor details. You can not find a more beautiful setting for a wedding- a lot of guests told us that they felt like they were in a movie during the ceremony! Cannot say enough good things about Oheka- from start to finish everyone we encountered there was very professional and helpful and made working with them a very enjoyable experience!

I had the best day of my life at Oheka. Everything was amazing. The location and beauty of the castle goes without saying, but also the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our cake was not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful. The bride and groom attendants are so helpful and really help make the day relaxing. We had a day of coordinator, which was really unnecessary because Oheka had everything covered. The staff are so pleasant to work with-very down to earth and accommodating. Guests said this was the best wedding they've ever been to. It's a pricy place, but if you can handle the cost it is well worth it.

I'm writing this review as a planner who recently worked at Oheka with the Oheka team for a client's wedding and everything went perfectly! Major praises to Kelly, Sam, Rick, Darrel, Mohammed, Destiny and Riley for all of your efforts in making my couple's day a dream (apologies if I spelled names incorrectly)!

This is a gorgeous venue and they do all they possibly can for their clients to ensure a smooth, enjoyable and incredible event. I couldn't recommend Oheka more and look forward to my return!

Oheka was amazing!! The bride and groom attendants were extremely attentive from the morning until the end of the reception. The bride attendant changed my shoes at least 5 times. They even organized a special cocktail hour separated from guests so that the bride and groom can sit down and relax while a security guard helped them by protecting the entrance to the room. the grounds were so beautiful that even the unprofessional photos came out amazing. the complimentary br

I had my DREAM wedding realized at the opulent OHEKA Castle!
I worked with Keli Melius, MaryAnne and Kathy. They were a gem to work with. Unfortunately, sometimes it was very challenging to get a hold of Keli when making changes. But we'd eventually hear from her - although quite nerve racking when days would go by without a response!

Other than that. My wedding was fabulous. The staff was amazing throughout the whole process and especailly day of my wedding.

I love flipping through pictures and videos to relive the experience! My husband and I fall in love all over again!

Amazing location! It's a shame you (should) only get married once!! My husband and I have already agreed that we need to celebrate an anniversary there. I would just love to be invited to a wedding there!

The staff were very helpful once it had been passed down to the admin team. The sales management people are sometimes a bit unresponsive - but once you get hold of them - they can answer any and every question/request that you might have.

They do absolutely everything possible to make your day perfect! They've thought of it all and have it all taken care of. So many little details that I forgot and probably didn't even notice because it was taken care of! The management take personal responsibility for your day.

I have re-lived this day many times in my head and I believe that part of what made it soo perfect was this venue. They also catered and made the cake as well. The selection is wonderful and they do cater to special requests! I got a whole new station added! The cake was more beautiful than ever and fared well after being frozen for 1 year!

Absolutely amazing is all I can say. Our wedding was a dream come true. Once we selected all of the vendors, the coordinator took over and ensured the day of everything was in order. We didn't have to worry about anything but ourselves. The food presentation and taste were fabulous; don't worry about their policy regarding tasting as you will not be disappointed. We've been married almost a year and friends and family are still talking about our wedding. Highly recommend this venue...You definitely get what you pay for!!

I can not say enough about this place and the staff. The place is beautiful but its really the service you experience there that make this place so spectacular. We were married on site and basically arrived at 9 a.m. and had the place for the day. Everyone on staff at Oheka was amazing, they really took care of every detail. The wedding itself was perfect. We are still getting complements on the service and food. The bridal suite is huge, and a great place to spend the day. There are about 30 rooms on site which are all unqiue and your overnight guests wil be truly impressed. We also had a jazz hour in the library room after the wedding which was blast and our guests seemed to really enjoy it. You will not be disappointed.

Oheka Castle, one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen. The place inside and out is breathtaking. We got married on the grounds. We were so lucky to be able to get married there. It was truly cinderella wedding. Everything from start to end was magical. The service was absolutely amazing. Kathy and John were great banquet managers. The bridal attendants were both extremely helpful through the entire event. The whole staff is very detailed and caring. They helped turn our Wedding into a dream come true!! It was a perfect wedding. Hoping one day we can renew our vows and get married there again! :-) Truly an amazing experience.

We had an incredible wedding at Oheka and can’t thank the staff enough for making this possible. They made everything on the day stress free and thought of every detail. The room getting ready room is UNBELIEVABLE it’s huge and spacious. We had free breakfast and lunch served while we got ready, including champagne! The bridal attendants helped with my dress change and made sure I had a drink at all times!

- The day of is stress free — the staff think of everything!
- THE FOOD!! Your guests won’t go hungry (there are so many food stations and the dessert cafe is extensive ) and the food is incredible! Countless people mentioned that the dinner was delicious (which you can’t say about lost weddings)!
- Flexibility - we wanted a longer reception and chose Oheka because they made this possible! We even had an after - after party in our room which was a blast!
- The hotel - it was an added bonus that we got to stay a night in the hotel with our friends and family and enjoy brunch together the next day. Steven was so responsive and helpful in managing our guest reservations and the brunch!

A slight heads up:
- The venue sent our band a liability release contract 2 weeks before our wedding, which they didn’t do to any other vendor nor did they send it to other people in the past (ie our band had performed there in the past and never had to sign it). If our band didn’t sign it, we were going to have to find a new band (with 2 weeks notice!!). We had confirmed our band with the venue 1 year in advance so it came out of nowhere at the last minute. It ended up being our bands fault (they didn’t read it properly), but it took a LOT of work to get someone from Oheka to clarify the contract and respond to us about this matter.
- Kelly is VERY responsive and easy to work with, but I can’t say the same of other staff. My wedding planner had a hard time getting a hold of the staff at times.

Despite these small issues that came up, Oheka was an unbelievable venue and I don’t regret it for a second!!

Highly recommend!! The only thing was at the end of the night, my flowers were thrown out. No one discussed with me if I wanted them :( Which of course, I did.

Oheka is a splurge to be sure, but the photos that you'll have of the magnificent grounds and gorgeous architecture in your wedding album make it truly priceless. Not only were our guests blown away by the venue from the moment they drove up that dramatic, tree-lined entryway, but everyone raved about the food from cocktail hour to the decadent dessert buffet. The Oheka staff are consummate professionals who helped make the day run smoothly and took extra attentive care of myself and my groom (we each got an attendant who was there to get us anything we needed—a glass of water, help bustling my gown—all day; they stayed with us through photos, made sure we were where we needed to be on time, and collected and packed everything we brought to the venue, ensuring nothing got left behind). They truly take care of their brides and grooms—they brought us plates of everything served during cocktail hour in a private room while our guests were being seated, and had plates of dinner and dessert waiting for us in our bridal suite so we could focus on mingling with our guests but didn't go hungry! We also loved that the venue had hotel rooms, so our closest family and friends could stay over and join us for a brunch the next day. The rooms are just as lavish as the rest of the estate and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The only potential downsides (aside from the cost) is that the venue is a bit laissez faire up until a week before the wedding—no one will reach out to you for tastings or appointments, so you need to be proactive—and that the hotel and estate operate independently of each other, so you need to be the middleman between them. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Oheka as a wedding venue—they helped make my wedding a total dream come true!

The service is amazing. The staff is fantastic. The bride and groom attendants were terrific!
We worked mostly with Kathy as are banquet manager but John the other banquet manager was there the day of the wedding and he was so great!

The food was spectacular! The grounds were beautiful (even though it rained on my day). The white glove service is a nice touch and the rooms for the guests were immaculate. During the reception, a few guests had to ask the waiters where their plates were?! I guess they forgot to serve them BUT they were very prompt to ammend the situation. Oheka is a beautiful venue through and through and no bride can be unhappy about having their wedding there!

It is hard to say anything bad about Oheka Castle, it is just a stunning venue and if you are fortunate enough to be able to marry there, you shouldn't miss out. I found the staff very responsive in the planning process, Kelly was our sales person and John our catering manager, and both were easy to get a hold of and very helpful. Once you're spending as much as you are to have the wedding at Oheka, they're incredibly generous, allowing you to customize your day as you need. My biggest complaint was that the day of coordinator for my husband wasn't very present and thus he had no idea what was happening a lot of the day. I also made the mistake of assuming the venue and the band would coordinate timing of dances and speeches, but ultimately the dances took place way too late in the evening, and I never was given the mic for my thank you speech as planned. These are little complaints compared to the amazing day we had, overall I just think it pays for a bride to have a printed schedule for herself which she shares with the venue instead of the other way around. Overall the wedding was truly a dream come true and I can't imagine having it anywhere but Oheka. Also I have to say that the food was absolutely OUTSTANDING as was the cake - just gorgeous!!!! They really shine in the catering department and deserve 5 stars for that alone.

It was a dream come true... Rick was amazing to work with. Food was superb. The 2 cons for me were.. My bridal attendant, I wanted to have my maid of honor bustle my dress fix my dress accompany me around for pictures. This woman was relentless and I do feel like I missed out on some of the days festivities because she was ordering me around. Didn't like that at all. Also I paid for the hot breakfast the next day and for an omelet chef for 2 hours. I came down 1 hour into breakfast and there was NO omelet station or chef. I SAID SOMETHING AND THEY BROUGHT ONE OUT, BUT NO APOLOGY OR REFUND FOR their mistake. Oh well, our wedding was gorgeous and I would still have it there all over again I would just tell the attendant to back off it is MY DAY!

Wonderful family based business to work with. They give you the personalized attention you deserve. The grounds are amazing and the food is delicious!

Immediately after I saw the pictures of this breathtaking castle, I fell in love with this place.
They do not allow us to give you the average amount of costs unless you physically go there and talk to the event/sales stuff.
The service, building, hotel rooms are all exceptional. We are actually going to have wedding there in the middle of winter which is kind of off-season for the wedding so they gave us a very flexible rate and I was so happy with that. Because otherwise it is impossible for me to have wedding there. Getting married in the castle like a princess is all girl's dream. This is the dream place.

Oheka Castle was the ideal place for our ceremony and reception. It is a beautiful establishment, perfect for a fairy tale wedding. Everything about this venue from the entrance to the reception hall is breathtakingly grand and will leave both you and your guests happy with its grandeur.

Other benefits include an onsite honeymoon suite for the newly married couple, onsite catering, and helpful staff with whom to coordinate for planning purposes.

We had our wedding reception at OHEKA Castle. The Pros/Cons were as follows:
Cons:
-Response times to our phone and email questions were sub-optimal
-We had requested that OHEKA incorporate a Mexican food station into our cocktail hour to honor the groom’s heritage. It was a struggle to get them to finally deliver on this aspect
-Delayed and confusing response on upgrade options including drinks and food
-Unprofessional behavior and attitude from accounting department
-OHEKA really needs to provide the bride and groom with a complete (not incomplete) wedding planning package from day one (perhaps a website). It was very confusing and time consuming to ask for information and paperwork throughout the whole process (and multiple times we received conflicting/outdated forms)

Pros:
-Delivered a beautiful event-all of our guests were impressed
-Worked with us on extending our cocktail hour when our guests on buses arrived late
-Delivered on Mexican food station-food was good!

Oheka Castle is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue. From the second you pass those gates, you leave the stress of New York City behind you. Every single inch of the premises was pristine and elegant - and it's a one stop shop for your entire party (something I loved). I arrived at 9AM and my group didn't need to move an inch until the next day; we all stayed over in the venue's thirty room hotel. It's these aspects that made the venue standout for me. You can't replicate the grounds or the convenience in many other places.

Every single guest I've met said it was the best wedding they ever went to, that the food was out of control (both in quality and in amount), and that the staff at Oheka Castle was a well-oiled machine. They were VERY good at making it about me on my day. I had a world-class bridal attendant who saw to my every need, and Kathy an the event staff are true professionals and very lovely people. My wedding went off without a hitch, and it was executed FLAWLESSLY. You will receive top notch service on the day of your wedding and at one of the most glorious venues the state can offer. A very high price tag reflects this.

With that being said, planning was not the same level of seamless. I struggled a bit with the hotel staff (still very nice people) and often saw big delays in responses, although we were paying quite a lot to be holding our event there. Also, not a con but worth noting, that the banquet room, while beautiful, is very dated. So be prepared to provide uplighting and screens. We even brought in a new dance floor because the standard one was small and older looking. Overall, if you're willing to assert yourself when you're feeling backburnered during your process, you'll be golden. And during the big moment, rest assured that you will be able to lay back and have very few worries.

I recently had my wedding at Oheka Castle. Boy did our guests love the venue. They loved how grand it was, loved the cocktail hour food, loved the open bar, and loved the dessert cafe.
Oheka is definitely a great venue to have a grand grand wedding. It'll definitely impress your guests. However, I did not give it a full 5 stars because it is also a venue that puts you to work! You have to find vendors for almost everything. Maybe because I was inexperienced with wedding planning, but I didn't know that I had to do things like, find a lighting vendor, print out my own menus, or have to pay to rent their projector and screen.
Listen, if you have the money, and you have the time, Oheka is no doubt, a fabulous place for a wedding. But if you're a under a budget and tight on time, Oheka may not be the place for you.

For starters, Oheka Castle in itself is a mindblowing venue, Taylor Swift was there. Dealing with Rick was initially great before you sign the contract, but after signing the contract, you need to know it takes him a long time to respond to things via email/phone or through other avenues. They have so many things going on there now with their restaurant in full service, multiple shoots of music videos/artists/tv series/movies and they crank out large scale events everyday. The responsiveness level was very difficult and frustrating for my dad, and he actually took multiple days off of work to actually go in person to talk to him to make sure things were set.

On the wedding day, the venue was understaffed and while my bridal/groom attendant were great, they also were not there every minute as verbally stated multiple times. They also took a picture in our photobooth without our consent! My wedding planner had issues with the venue as well as our caterer and they were really not flexible. The valet services were super slow as well. For a venue of this caliber, we were pleased with its beauty, but the level that we were expecting as verbally promised was not completely there.

The place is lovely and I did have a beautiful and dreamy wedding at Oheka. My review here is on the management side of things and not the castle and ambiance itself.

First off, the management staff is quite responsive for as long as they are selling. Once the contract is signed, the story changes. It is extremely hard to get a hold of them, they do not respond to calls easily. They promise they will do their best to make things as beautiful as possible for your wedding. Well, not so much of that is true and here is my story:

Due to multiple out of our control glitches we started the ceremony about half an hour later than planned. Our wedding was to end at 12:30 midnight. At about 12:15 I asked if we could extend the wedding for half an hour. The planner was not happy. She said we need to pay $2,470 for the extra half an hour (very different than what's said in the contract language). Worse that that was the way she treated us: she said she needs a credit card right then and there. So here I am in my gown, instead of using the time efficiently, running upstairs to get my credit card, came back (lost about 10 minutes of the half an hour). Later I was thinking, they had at least 3 credit cards on file.Sso to this day I am not sure why she pushed me to do it right then and there. Perhaps she was hoping that I would say forget it, so that she could end the wedding sooner?! Not sure, but very unpleasant!

For a long while we were trying to contact them and hoping to get some sort of a refund back for that harsh charge of $2,470/half an hour based on what is said on the contract. But regardless of our multiple attempts in contacting them, no one got back to us EVER! The way she treated us was not fair, not according to the contract language and inhumane to send the bride after a credit card in the last half an hour of her wedding!

While my wedding was beautiful and my guests loved the venue, food, experience, I cannot give a decent rating based on the service, if it can even be called that, that we received. From start to finish I can honestly say I have NEVER been treated so poorly and be spoken to so disrespectfully. It was hand down the worst experience of my life. I would not wish that on any bride. They basically treated me as if I was lucky that they were "letting" me have my wedding there (even though we paid them $100,000 to do so!) I was COMPLETELY lied to in order to get me to sign the contract. As the planning progressed I was communicating with the person whom I believed would be handling my wedding (the owners son in law) only to find out that he no longer worked there and hadn't for months. They honored NONE of the plans I had been making with that individual and I when I went in for my "final" appointment to finalize details they knew NOTHING about what I had believed was the dream wedding I was planning. Not only were they not at all apologetic they were borderline offensive. Our after party wound up costing $10,000 for 1.5 hours (beginning the second my reception ended, giving me no time to say goodbye to the guests that were not staying.) I have been working in this industry for 10 years and it takes a lot for me to really bad mouth an establishment because I do know how difficult it is to execute an event of this magnitude, but their behavior was deplorable. The only time at all that I even felt remotely catered to or pampered, as a bride should be, was the day I signed that contract. I can truly say that the sales department's behavior was disgusting starting with Fabian who was making promises that could not be honored, to Christie who speaks to everyone as if they are a child, condescending does not begin to describe her tone, to Kelly who just seemed put out to even be meeting w/ us. Jason, John, Chris, and Daniel are the only saving grace. They were wonderful!

Run....as fast as you can. Sometimes a pretty house is just a pretty house. Worst treatment, worst service I have ever experienced in my life. EVER! Many times they weren't just rude, they were offensive, unprofessional, thieves. Everything they tell you to get you to sign the papers is a complete lie. I never imagined this would be the worst experience of my life.
