Alex was the perfect officiant for our special day. He is warm and friendly and although our initial meeting with him was via Skype, as we live in the UK, we felt like we had known him forever.
He took the time to get to know us personally, adding some beautiful touches and kind words into our ceremony. My new husband and I love to laugh and Alex was amazing at adding a touch of humour to our perfect ceremony bringing a smile to the faces of our guests. We can’t recommend him enough, if you’re looking for a wedding officiant Alex is definitely your guy, he’s just wonderful! If we could do it all again tomorrow we wouldn’t change a thing! -

We cannot thank Mariela enough for her outstanding service on our wedding day. She arrived early, which was a huge relief, especially given the impending storm. Thanks to her promptness and efficiency, we were able to complete our small wedding ceremony just before the weather turned. Mariela was professional, calming, and incredibly accommodating. Her ability to adapt to the situation and ensure our ceremony went smoothly despite the looming storm was impressive. We had to have someone come by last minute for out license signing because of issues with another officiant, and Maria was amazing! Even though we were just having her sign the license with no remarks, she was so personable and a pleasure to have with us. -

Stephanie was great to work with. She was able to craft a personalized officiant speech script and delivered it so well that many guests asked if she was our friend! She included some of our anecdotes, and even wrote some parts in Chinese for our Chinese guests. Before the wedding, Stephanie was very helpful and easy to reach for all of our questions. She also really helped us calm our nerves before the wedding ceremony. I'd definitely recommend Stephanie as an officiant! -

I had the pleasure of having Alex as our Officiant. Alex exceeding all of our expectations. He had multiple meetings with us to ensure that the ceremony matched our interest/culture, as well as adding his own idea that really enhanced the ceremony. Working with Alex was the best possible experience and beyond anything our couple could have wished for! As a planner that has been a part of hundreds of weddings, Alex's attention to detail and care for every wedding ceremony that he is a part of is so beyond evident. We had the pleasure of working with James for our intimate rooftop elopement. James was very communicative the entire time leading up to the wedding date. When we first booked him, we hopped on a call just to talk a little bit about expectations and our personal love story. About a month out from the wedding date, he sent us the script for our ceremony for feedback and edits. It was a super simple and easy process. He answered questions we had about our wedding location, which was originally supposed to be at cop cot (central park), and he was very flexible when we decided to switch locations (the day of) to my in law's rooftop in greenwich village. James is experienced and knowledgeable about the flow of weddings. One of our concerns about Cop Cot was that there would have been a wedding right before the time slot we booked. James assured us that he can communicate with the photographer of the party before and give them a gentle nudge if time cut close, which really helped ease my mind.
We had a beautiful ceremony. And everything went really smoothly. The ceremony speech James gave was beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the ease and professionalism of the service :) Thank you for braving the cold rainy weather with us James! -

Best officiant ever!
Words cannot express how wonderful of an experience we had with our wedding officiant Alex (officiantNYC)! From the initial meeting on facetime to the ceremony itself, he was professional, personable, and attentive to our vision. He made the whole process so seamless! He crafted a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony that perfectly reflected our love story. He even gave helpful advice on how to write our vows! Our family and friends commented on how engaging and amazing the officiant was. 10/10 Highly recommend Alex for anyone looking to make their special day unforgettable! -

Amazing Officiant
We didn’t think we needed to hire an officiant for our Star Wars themed wedding. Our Rabbi, who was also one of my closest friends, was all set to do the ceremony. Sadly, he passed away several months before we were to be married. This left a blemish on our wedding day that we thought was insurmountable – how do you replace someone who knew us as a couple from the very first day of our relationship? Someone who has been a friend for even longer than the bride and groom even knew each other?
The answer came in the form of an e-mail from Alex of NYC Officiant. We had requested a quote for services, and we were blown away by the kind, compassionate, and sympathetic response that we received from Alex – which also started with “you have found your Jedi.” He acknowledged our loss and softly walked us through the process of planning a ceremony. Alex was very flexible and giving of his time, treating us as individuals and making us feel special right from the start – this was not going to be a ”cookie cutter” ceremony by any means. We wanted to incorporate the Star Wars theme into our ceremony in a classy and subtle way – Alex NAILED the perfect mix of fun and seriousness. Alex became familiar with our “story” and was able to speak to the unique aspects of our relationship. Alex crafted an interesting and compelling ceremony that left our guests equally in laughter and tears of joy.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alex and NYC Officiant. The true test is always the audience, and many of our guests remarked how interesting and engaging both the ceremony was, as well as Alex himself. He truly did the impossible by filling the shoes of someone who we thought was irreplaceable. -
