Ocean boulevard is absolutely the best pick for your special day ! The food is absolutely top notch decadence! So delicious! Everything was hot! Portions were generous ! There were many guests that complimented “best food we’ve ever ate, especially at a wedding!” To say we were pleased with Annette and the whole kitchen staff would be an understatement! Ocean boulevard truly delivers !!!!

Phenomenal Food, Service & Experience

Annette is wonderful...so helpful and responsive. The food is absolutely delicious and a great value. We had our wedding at Jennette's Pier with a plated dinner and the waitstaff was so friendly and professional. Our guests complimented the food, service and beer/wine selections left and right. I would absolutely recommend Annette and her team!

We did a breakfast brunch following our 10 am wedding for 80 people at Ocean Boulevard Bistro. Our food was wonderful and we got so many compliments from guests. Annette was super helpful throughout the whole process leading up to the event and day of the wedding. When we ended up with 20 more guests than expected she was flexible and made it work wonderfully. She worked with us on everything to stay within my budget. If you have the chance to hold an event at Ocean Boulevard Bistro I highly recommend it!

The chef and Annette did an outstanding job under difficult conditions. The food was delicious. They had a small kitchen to work in and unusual service. Also, people were constantly roaming around them and they were friendly and helpful and produced a wedding dinner that people will talk about for a very long time!

We loved working with Annette & her team at Ocean Boulevard to cater our wedding in April at Jennette's Pier. They are true professionals in every way AND the quality of their food is AMAZING. From our initial tasting (think adult macaroni & cheese) to our wedding day (hello DIVINE crab cake appetizer), we enjoyed every moment and every bite of our experience with Ocean Boulevard. You will not be disappointed - call them immediately!!! They have loyal fans for life in us!!

We knew we were in for a treat the second we set foot in Ocean Boulevard for our tasting. The level of professionalism and vision from Annette and the team is second to none and the food just puts it over the top. Annette worked with us on tailoring our menu to what we were envisioning and creating a level of refinement that you typically don't see at a large wedding reception. The service at the event was top notch and we are still hearing from our guests on how good the food was! If you want a five-star experience that is worry-free, do yourself a favor and pick Annette and the team from Ocean Boulevard. Still thinking about that risotto!

Ocean Boulevard catered our daughter's wedding in the 4X4 area of the Outer Banks, NC. The food was delicious and we are still hearing from guests how it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Annette was very easy to work with and put up with my many emails and questions about every little detail. They brought plenty of help to make sure that the bars and kitchen staff could keep up with demand. When they left, the catering kitchen was spotless and all trash was removed from the venue. From the first meeting and tasting, my daughter and her fiance were sold on this caterer. They dined at the restaurant with friends and family, several times leading up to the event, and enjoyed every meal prepared and served by this top notch crew! We highly recommend Ocean Boulevard!!

The food for our reception was one of the most important factors for my husband and me. We like to think of ourselves as foodies and having a reception with anything less than amazing food wasn't an option for us. Ocean Boulevard rose to the occasion and surpassed our expectations and totally wowed our guests. My husband & I really enjoy sampling lots of different foods and dining small plates and tapas-style so we wanted something similar for our reception. We had never attended a wedding reception like this but put complete faith in the hands of Annette and her staff and they were fantastic! We had several passed apps and a few stationary ones for the cocktail hour which rolled into a new food station or small plate being passed about every 30 minutes. Every dish was almost better than the one before it! My husband & I were so glad we were able to take a few minutes to sample everything that night and knew we made the right decision with Ocean Boulevard! And they left us with a fridge full of leftovers and everything was still just as amazing the next day (or later that night!)! We also had a few guests with some dietary restrictions which they accommodated beautifully - including making one guest her own custom dinner due to an allergy. Not only was the food amazing but every interaction we had with them in planning was so enjoyable! The waitstaff and bartenders the night of were just awesome - so many guests have commented on how much fun they were and every one I've spoken with since has said it is "hands-down the best food I've ever had at a wedding". We can't wait to get back to Ocean Boulevard for dinner next time we're on the island and we're just looking for a reason to have another event for them to cater!

Bravo!!!!!!!!! Annette created a wonderful menu for our wedding which consisted of 22 guests. Tim and his team executed the meal to perfection...... From the signature drinks to the clean up the day was perfect. The food was excellent! From the gluten free crab cakes to the creme brûlée our guests still rave about the food. We think the food at Ocean Boulevard is amazing! We were hunting for an exceptional dinner for our daughter's wedding reception, and when we tasted at Ocean Blvd, we knew we didn't need to look any further. Our venue was an "event home" which meant Annette got involved in the planning process (we ended up serving dinner under a tent, quite a distance from the kitchen--but it worked beautifully) and her advice/help was much appreciated. Also, the appetizers were outstanding and set the tone for the evening, starting immediately after the ceremony. Service and presentation were top notch. Many thanks!!!

We chose the Ocean Blvd Bistro and Martini Bar as the backdrop for my Mother's surprise 70th Birthday dinner on the Outer Banks, and we couldn't have been more happy and satisfied with our decision.
The food was amazing, and the service provided by Annette, Donnie, Kim and Chelsea was first class. They all did a fantastic job providing warm and friendly service to my family and guest, from the planning stages all the way through the actual dinner.
I'm part of an all Italian family from NY and we're a tough group when it comes to the food we think is to our high standards. We loved each and every bit of our dinner from the Antipasti Skillet, to the gourmet mac and cheese to the entrees of Yellow Fin Tuna, BBQ Pork Shoulder and NY Strip steak to name a few. Not to mention the fantastic selection of wines we were able to choose from, and the delicious Martini's we ordered. If you're looking for real "fine dining" on the Outer Banks, this is a place you simply must try. Thank you all again for such a great experience. We'll be sure to make our way back there for years to come during our visits to the Outer Banks.

Annette and her staff were AMAZING!!!! My daughter's wedding was Memorial Day weekend, and Annette went above and beyond our expectations. From everything to the appetizers to the main dish to her wonderful staff, was superb. We had numerous meetings and tastings at the restaurant, and Annette was so accommodating and professional throughout. I would highly recommend Ocean Boulevard and Annette!!! We so enjoyed working with her and all of our visits to the restaurant!!

I would advise any couple trying to make a wedding decision to do a testing at the Ocean Boulevard Bistro & Martini Bar and experience the quality of food and attention to detail and excellent service that they provide. They provided a perfect meal for our daughters wedding reception.

I can't say enough about Annette & the whole catering gang at Ocean Blvd. Being from NY we had set up multiple tastings over a 2 day period in the Outer Banks. Ocean Blvd was only our second tasting and we had to cancel the rest because the food was outstanding! The day of our wedding the food was incredibly fresh and delicious and most of all it didn't taste like typical catered wedding food. I received compliments the whole night & am so happy with our decision. From the appetizers to the buffet set-up I wouldn't change a thing. I definitely recommend the mac & cheese it was a big hit!

Ocean Boulevard is a wonderful place for a corporate event. The food and service is amazing. We have used them for four different events and are never disappointed. They have a nice private dining area upstairs for large groups. We will be back next year!

If you're looking to have the BEST food you will ever eat and the BEST service....Ocean Blvd. is where every bride and groom should go running to!!!! The food, phenomenal service, and bartenders were OUTSTANDING. Annette was amazing to work with and made the months leading up to the wedding stress free!! Annette, the head of catering, and all of the staff is absolutely wonderful! Our experience started with an amazing tasting at the restaurant. Annette is lovely and we knew right away we wanted to use her services. She let us create our own menu, including a s'mores bar that was a huge hit! She was very flexible about last minute changes as well. We loved all of the food and would highly recommend serving their signature lemonade at your event!
At the wedding, Annette and all of her staff made sure we were well taken care of. She made us our own personal plate of appetizers during the cocktail hour, which gave us the chance to eat and socialize. Due to rain, we had to come to our venue early for pictures and the staff accommodated us by opening the bar early.
During the wedding, she made sure we each got a full plate of food, as we had a buffet. The bartenders were smiling and laughing with the guests. No one had to wait for a drink and there was an abundance of food. Everyone commented on how delicious their meals were. They even sent us home with a ton of leftovers to enjoy the next day! I would use Ocean Boulevard for another event in a heart beat and we will certainly be eating at the restaurant during future visits to OBX!!

My family has been dining at Ocean Boulevard for years since we have been coming to the outer banks. The food is always exceptional, and the service great, and we were lucky enough to have them cater our wedding. My husband and I had originally gone with a different vendor to cater our wedding, but when that fell through about a month or so before the wedding we were crushed and panicked. It was so important to us to have quality food at our wedding, so we new the only place to turn was Ocean Boulevard. As luck would have it, they were available to cater our wedding on a Saturday in September, we felt so lucky, and we couldn't have imagined our event with out them.
Annette was one of the best vendors we worked with for the wedding. She was awesome. We quickly got to work on revising the menu we had already come up with and she had some great additions and ideas on how to make it work and within our budget. She also handled all of our beer and wine, and was so accommodating with our indecisiveness on beer choices. The wine and bubbly she chose was perfect, and her beer suggestions were great too. What I am so incredibly thankful for, is her willingness to take on our 110 person wedding and serve our meal family style. Nobody does family style at the beach, and it was something my husband and I really really wanted, and I so appreciate that even during our first discussion of the wedding she was on board with the family style service. After some adjustments were made to thedecor and table design, and platters were rented, it all came together beautifully. Every single person at our wedding raved about the food, not just the best wedding food they have ever had, the best meal they have had. Everyone loved the family style, and it really made our wedding feel like a big family meal with everyone coming together. It was simply perfect, and beachy and relaxed, and exactly what we were going for. The staff was incredible to work with as well! Super professional and fun!

YUMMMMMMM is all I have to say! Annette and her crew were so amazing to work with! Everything went to smooth we were all laid back and having a good time! I met Annette and was introduced to this wonderful food at the wedding expo! The ahi tuna on a wonton and the fact that they cooked the food at your venue sold me! The rest was history! Oh I would also highly recommend that Mac n Cheese bar to be laid out as a snack for afterwards! It was such a big hit and the best mac n cheese I have ever had! We will be coming back to visit next time we are in OBX!

The first time my husband and I met with Annette, we knew Ocean Boulevard was the right choice for our wedding. The initial meeting she had an assortment of appetizers and a fully prepared meal ready for us to try. Everything was delicious! Leading up to our event, Annette was there to answer all of our questions. Living overseas, emailing was our main form of communication and she was very quick in her responses. Leading up to our wedding we appreciated her help and input when it came to alcohol selection and everything we needed for the reception and cocktails.

On the day of our wedding Annette and her team were spectacular. During cocktails, she personally sought us out and made sure we were fed. When I was unable to eat my dinner, she made sure I ate by boxing up all the food so I could enjoy it later. I also want to mention that Annette arranged the buffet tables to be stations, so the line for food wouldn't be long. We really felt that she went above and beyond to make this day perfect for us.

Last but surely not least, the food was simply amazing. For our cocktail hour we had a raw bar with a mix of passed hors d'oeuvres. The seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly and the raw oysters tasted as if they were caught that morning. For dinner we had local fish, prime rib, and chicken. Each meal was paired with the perfect side dishes. (Mostly seasonal, locally grown vegetables) Again, everything was cooked perfectly. The chef was fabulous, the food was top notch. Our guests raved about the food at our wedding.
In the end we were more than pleased with our decision to have Ocean Boulevard cater our wedding. Annette and her team did a phenomenal job and we highly recommend them for any event. Also just to note, the bartender did a wonderful job. All of the drinks were great and mixed perfectly. He had a lot of fun with our guests and made sure they were having a good time

Annette at Ocean Blvd, just for starters, is the best and great personality as well. Very helpful and great with suggestions. Good was fabulous although I didn't eat at my wedding was too hyped. Guests have been saying how wonderful the food was!!!!! Don't go to any other caterer till you meet with Annette and have a tasting. You won't regret it!!!!

We previously attended a wedding of friends who had used Ocean Boulevard for their reception, so we were quite familiar with Chef Donnie and his awesome dishes. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious so it was truly a no brainer on who to hire.

Annette responded almost immediately to my email requesting their services. She forward their catering menu, I sent her a list of items we were considering and we scheduled a tasting date. Needless to say, the tasting was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the assortment of food items. I appreciated Annette's no nonsense approach and professionalism. We went back and forth a bit, narrowing down food choices until we ultimately arrived at our estimate cost / person. During the entire process, Annette always responded promptly to my emails and was organized, accommodating, and just great to work with.

We ended up using Ocean Blvd for the following:
- Hot appetizers, passed by servers (Deviled Eggs, Mini Crab Cakes, Thai Style Beef & Chicken Skewers)
- Food stations during dinner hour - soup/salad, veggies/mac & cheese, fish, chicken
- Bar Service (Wine, Beer, Water, Soft Drinks)

Day of the wedding:
The food stations were beautiful - and our guests RAVED about the food (my favorite comment was: "This is NOT your typical wedding food". - No, it really wasn't.). The deviled eggs were a major hit along with the She Crab soup and Oven Roasted Chicken. The wait/bar staff were professional and unobtrusive… In fact, one of the servers was kind enough to box up my food so that I could enjoy it later (which I did).

All in all, I was thrilled that Ocean Boulevard catered our wedding, I wouldn't have had it any other way. They were just perfect.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 40 people at Ocean Boulevard last spring. The atmosphere was just as we hoped -- first-class food and drinks in a casual environment. Annette and other staff members were helpful and provided excellent service throughout. Communication prior to the event was clear and there were no surprises. So glad we chose Ocean Boulevard for our dinner!

Ocean Boulevard catered our wedding. The staff took care of business for this hands off bride. They are super flexible with the menu and able to please the veggie bride, meat eating groom, and the provide options for my picky and limited diet eaters. The staff did not have a complaint about climbing over my dogs in my suddenly inside event.
They had no problem using my mom's homemade trays for serving.

Oh, did I forget - the food was AMAZING.

We held my son's rehearsal dinner at the Ocean Boulevard Bistro and Martini Bar on October 5, 2013. We packed the house with 65 guests, but the restaurant worked to set up the tables to accomodate the crowd and the seating arrangements. The staff helped us get the place cards out before the event and even moved a few chairs around to meet our needs. This was only the beginning.

The food was absolutely amazing. We had several served appetizers as well as staions. We had tuna, steak, crab and ham biscuits that were out of this world delicious not to mention the staff's attentiveness to our guests. They kept peoples' drinks filled also.

For dinner, we offered the fish of the day, roast beef and chicken as well as several sides. They were all yummy. Annette, the coordinator, stayed in touch with me about serving the Prosseco for the toast and kept me informed about the bar bill!

After the toasts and roasting, we were offered delicious desserts. The Creme Brulee on a spoon was divine. One of our guests was passing them out calling them Heaven on a Spoon! The other desserts were just as delectable.

The Ocean Boulevard Bistro and Martini Bar helped make the rehearsal dinner the best we could have hoped for. We would absolutely use them again for a similar venue. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Ocean Boulevard catered our wedding and they were phenomenal. From our initial phone call with Annette to our tasting, to the execution and presentation of the food everything was flawless. My husband is a chef and many of the guests in attendance were chefs or in the hospitality industry - so definitely a tough crowd to please. However everyone raved about the food. The signature OB Mac & Cheese on our buffet was just as good, creamy and piping hot as it is when served at the restaurant.

They were really flexible with our menu, which was important to us My husband mentioned we wanted a whole roasted pig and one of the Chefs (Tim) was so excited he had just done one that turned out great for his brother's wedding. His enthusiasm really got us so excited and the pig was amazing and certainly the talk of the reception. Also two months before the wedding we had dinner at Ocean Boulevard and loved one of the appetizer specials, they willing added a small amount in with our hors d'oeuvres selection.

Last but certainly not least - Annette was amazing to work with she is knowledgable, friendly and down to earth. She is quick to respond to emails and is always very helpful with any questions you may have or when asking for suggestions or recommendations. Annette was there on site as well from set up to breakdown to make sure everything on their end went flawlessly and it did. The Sunday after the wedding Annette keep on working to help us try to locate something that went missing Saturday evening.

Overall Ocean Boulevard exceed our expectations and I would definitely recommend Annette and Ocean Boulevard as a caterer or just for a great meal and beautiful view.

The word DELICIOUS doesn't even begin to describe the food that provided to us by Ocean Blvd for our wedding. My husband is a Chef, so the food was of utmost importance to us and Ocean Blvd knocked it out of the park. If you're planning a catered event on the Outer Banks, chose these guys to cater. Annette and the whole crew were professional, caring and I feel went out of their way to make our special day the best it could possibly be. My only complaint is that I don't live closer so I could enjoy their food on a more regular basis!

Ocean Blvd. Bistro & Martini Bar catered our daughter's wedding reception held at 108 Budleigh in Manteo, NC. Before the reception was even over we were already hearing comments from our guests on how impressed they were with their meal, and we continue to receive compliments to this day. The food was absolutely delicious. Event Coordinator, Annette O'Donnell, was extremely helpful from our first tasting, throughout every step of the planning process and during the entire event. She was always responsive to each of my emails leading up to the wedding and worked deligently to meet all of our needs. Many thanks to Chef Donny King, Annette O'Donnell, Jamie Reichert and the entire staff of Ocean Blvd. Bistro & Martini Bar for making our daughter's wedding such a wonderful event! Ocean Boulevard catered my wedding reception in September and their service could not have been better! Honestly from the initial planning with Annette til the end of the evening when they were packing up, everything was perfect. Annette was great to work with. She guided me through every step of the process. They worked with our budget. Words cannot describe the food - it was fantastic! The scallops melted in your mouth. After reading another review, we went with the chicken étouffée as one of the dinner options and it was really out of this world! Annette set aside a plate of appetizers for my husband and i as we were getting pictures taken while the hors d'oeuvres were being passed out. Staff poured for the champagne toast. Annette cut the cake for us. We added a bartender and basic bar packet and that worked out well. While i never made it to the bar, our guests commented on how great the bartender was. OB staff really went beyond my expectations! I have no regrets that's for sure! We will definitely be stopping by their restaurant on our next trip to OBX

Ocean Boulevard Bistro was outstanding from day one. Annette worked with us to accommodate our budget and come up with a wonderful menu that included fresh fish based on what they were catching at the time of the wedding, and many other delicious choices. The food was incredible – both the appetizers and dinner. So many people commented on how wonderful the food was – we are still hearing from guests! Annette, Donny and their team did an excellent job throughout the evening keeping things moving smoothly from appetizers to dinner to dessert. Annette was a beacon of calm, making the whole evening unfold flawlessly. We felt confident both before and during the wedding that we were in very good hands. We still are amazed they created such a fabulous dinner from the small kitchen of our event home!

Ocean Boulevard did a fabulous job for our wedding. Our guests are still raving about the food 2 months later! Donny and Annette were creative in tailoring a menu specifically for us, this personal touch made all the difference when deciding which catering company to use. They worked alongside all of our vendors to make sure our event was organized, set up in the most efficient way for traffic flow, and the food display was elegant and appetizing. Our type of event was a first for our venue, and they made sure that we had everything we needed right down to the glassware/table cloth rentals. They also created a batch of our favorite martini, the "Rosy Cheeks" for our guests to enjoy for cocktail hour. I feel that their attention to detail and the special touches they incorporated made our event a huge success. I would recommend Ocean Boulevard for any bride that wants the food to look spectacular and taste even better!

We had a cocktail party at Ocean Boulevard the night before our wedding for all of our out-of-town guests. Despite a tropical storm, the party was amazing. Annette at Ocean Boulevard planned ahead and got a tent for the outdoor patio which was decorated with candles and wooden patio furniture to give the space an intimate feel. And the food was delicious. Our guests especially raved about the tuna wontons and goat cheese with candied oranges. It was a great party, and a perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend!

We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at OBBistro and it was fantastic from start to finish. Annette O'Donnell was very friendly and responsive in helping us plan the event. The food was delicious and the wait staff was so efficient and pleasant. Everyone had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning a special event. We will certainly go back there on our next trip to Duck!

I was extremely worried about the food. I have been to very few wedding receptions where I thought the food was amazing. I wanted people to leave my reception talking about the food and that's exactly what I got! Many of my guests told me their food was amazing and I would have to agree. Not only was the food amazing but the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Ocean Boulevard to cater your event. I can't wait to go back to the Outer Banks so I can eat at Ocean Boulevard. Absolutely delicious!

Ocean Boulevard is the BEST caterer on the Outer Banks. We could not have asked for a better, more professional and up beat team to work with for our wedding. Donny and Annette are such a great team and made everything perfect for our special day. We had our wedding at the Whale Head Club which has no running water and very little electricity. They were set up in a cook tent and even with these difficulties made a beautiful and spectacular tasting meal for our guests.
If you want a great tasting, gorgeous meal at your wedding and an easy to work with and professional catering team hire Ocean Boulevard!!

I can not say enough great things about Ocean Boulevard and the staff. We were hooked from our tasting and knew this was the place we wanted to use as our caterer. Annette was so flexible with our budget, and our ideas which made things truly our own. We were able to think up some different off the table ideas along with some great offering Ocean Boulevard had come up with to create a menu that was perfect. The team was so wonderful to work with, always in contact and available for questions anytime. They came in the day of the wedding and went to work smoothly and seamlessly. From our appetizers to buffet, the food could not be better. We received so many comments on how this was the best wedding food people had ever had. Everything was restaurant quality, nothing you would find at a normal wedding. We look forward to stopping into the restaurant next time we are in the outer banks to enjoy another amazing meal.

Donny, Annette and the entire Ocean Boulevard team are incredible. They are professional and accommodating -- they take the time to make sure that your event is exactly what you want it to be. We had a buffet dinner at our wedding reception and every guest we talked to said that it was THE BEST dinner they'd had at a wedding. There were so many choices -- each delicious. We had guests that were vegetarians or on gluten-free diets, and everyone found something they loved. Not only was the food beautiful (even on a buffet!), elegant and great tasting, Donny and Annette provided us with something invaluable -- a worry-free wedding day. You can definitely trust them to deliver exactly what you asked for.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ocean Boulevard -- they are absolutely the best on the Outer Banks.

Ocean Boulevard goes out of there way to make your event exactly what you want and more. There entrees, appetizers and soups are the best on the beach in taste and presentation. The mood and atmosphere of there restaurant is " City Like" in there down stairs area with there lighting and bar fixtures. They have a fabulous drink menu including award winning Martinis. The event planner is very punctual and honest and always answers your questions in a timely manner. anyone who chooses Ocean Boulevard for there event will be blown away.

Annette worked with us to design a menu that we and our guests would love that would still fit our budget. They served appetizers and dinner at our beach house reception. Annette & Donny at Ocean Boulevard Bistro are absolutely wonderful to work with. Our daughter researched caterers on the OBX before her wedding, and decided that she would like to meet with Annette & Donny during our planning visit in April.

From our first taste of their Chicken Etoufee, we were convinced that they were our caterer of choice. Our daughter wanted the atmosphere of a cocktail party with catering that would be memorable – Ocean Boulevard Bistro provided this perfectly. Their staff passed hors d’oeuvres for the first half of the reception and then set up a buffet which included a pasta station that guests could enjoy at their leisure. Weeks later, we’re continuing to hear compliments from our guests – especially about the Shrimp Grits Spoons, the Duck Breast appetizer, the Shrimp & Scallops Pasta and the Chicken Etouffe. Our guests from New Orleans (and devotees of all foods Cajun and / or Creole) loved their interpretations. My sister-in-law, who is only able to eat gluten free foods, was mentioning this to another guest when Donny overheard her - he put together a plate just for her that she said was “incredibly delicious.”

Both Annette & Donny were very flexible with the menu, offering us different options to consider. They were flexible as well with selections for the bar, and agreed to set up a temporary bar on the second level deck (when we realized we would need our guests to be on the deck while a few after ceremony pictures were taken and cocktail tables were brought out onto the lawn.) I loved Ocean Boulevard Bistro’s casual yet professional approach, and how competent + friendly their assistants were.

Please know that our 5 out of 5 rating is based 100% on the class and excellent service Annette, Donny as their staff provided (we are not related to anyone who works, or has ever worked, at Ocean Boulevard Bistro.)

Annette & Donny are excellent to work with, everything they provided for our daughter & son-in-law’s wedding was just right wonderful and... exquisitely delicious!

We thought that catering our reception might be difficult because we wanted a fusion of Outer Banks and Asian to reflect our cultures. Donny and his staff were great. He came up with a very creative menu and really listened to our ideas. They were very easy to work with. We were even able to serve it family style like we wanted. They were also flexible with our numbers, as it was difficult to know how many people would attend our destination wedding. We got married last year, and people still talk about how great it was.

Annette and her team did a fantastic job for both the Welcome/Rehearsal Dinner, and the Wedding!
The food was amazing and worth every penny. They made sure there was enough food and more. And kept the trays full the night of the rehearsal.

Annette and her team were amazing. They were very professional and everyone raved about how good our food was. On top of that, we found them to be one of the more affordable caterers in the area. I would definitely use them again. I strongly recommend getting the sauteed shrimp with bourbon pepper gravy, crab cakes, and the ham and pimento cheese appetizers.

Had SEVERAL guests tell me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, which speaks for itself I think. This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at on the OBX so I wasn't surprised at how good the catering was. They were so flexible with what we wanted - we had a fresh fish station, a pasta station, and a barbecue station, all exactly to our specifications, plus some delicious appetizers. We brought our own beer and wine, and their bartenders served it, which allowed us to serve exactly what we wanted (we are beer snobs). Annette was wonderful to work with - she was there to oversee the operation, and the head chef himself Donny King was there manning one of the stations. Our wedding was held at Jennette's Pier, and having catered there many times before, it seemed to work like a well-oiled machine. The price per person was totally reasonable - no more expensive than any of the other places we looked at, so why wouldn't we have chosen them?

Ocean Bistro was great. Food was yummy and spot on what we wanted. They were VERY accomodating and did as we directed. WE had many special diet needs and they made sure to have somethign taht everyone could enjoy. They were honestly some of the best food I've ever had. We still have people asking us about our food!

I'm just disappointed that as the bride that none of the appetizers were set aside for myself or the groom to taste! We snagged 1 crab cake while we passed through the house - that was it.

Overall, that snafu can't damage there reputation. The staff was a blast to talk to and party with and their skills in the kitchen was clearly displayed in the quality of the food.
