    Magical Day

    Words cannot express our gratitude to Morgan Mai and the incredible Northgate Staff!!!! THANK YOU so much for a MAGICAL DAY!! June 1st was one of the best days of our lives!! Morgan and the staff were exceptional, my guests cannot stop talking about how elegant and sophisticated the wedding was on that day. From cocktail hour to the end everyone had a wonderful time. Even though Northgate hadn't worked with most of my vendors before, the day went off without any hitches. THANK YOU to Morgan and the wonderful Northgate staff for bringing our vision to life!! For all those brides in search of a classic venue NORTHGATE COUNTRY CLUB is the venue for you!!!

    AMAZING venue & experience!

    I honestly don't know where to begin. From the first contact with Morgan, i knew everything would be what I wanted. She was open to all of my ideas and offered suggestions for instances where my ideas were a bit incomplete based on the venue. She always responded to my emails promptly. Ariel was my day-of bridal attendant and she was also amazing. She made sure the bridal party had everything we needed and were comfortable. She stayed until the end of the reception to make sure everything flowed smoothly and that we (the couple) were taken care of. And the food... OMG! I keep getting comments on how delicious the food was. It was amazing! Overall, I would totally recommend Northgate for your wedding. Morgan and her staff will take great care of you. You will not be disappointed.

    Morgan, the day of coordinator, is AWESOME. When we showed up the morning of the wedding to get ready, everything was already taken care of. The staff was so nice and helpful and the bridal attendant was great as well!

    Where do I start?!? Having our wedding at Northgate was the best decision!! My husband and I spent countless hours researching and driving to numerous locations. NGCC was not only beautiful, but also by far the most affordable! This was super important to us because of my frugal tendencies. The food is the most delicious wedding food I have tasted (and I went to 7 weddings in the past 6 months...) Last, but certainly not least, Morgan (the wedding coordinator with the venue) is a dream to work with! She helped organize every detail and stayed in constant communication via email as well as multiple in-person meetings. They even provide the centerpiece decorations for free! I could go on and on - I am so tickled with what a great gem we found and I hope you check it out too!

    The cost listed below included: venue, food, alcohol, wedding coordinator, taste testing, and centerpieces. You cannot find anything to beat the quality and price! What a beautiful location!!!

    Morgan was AMAZING! Sweetest and most genuine person ever. If you would like your wedding to have as less stress and possible, choose Northgate. Morgan met with us multiple times and communicated with us weekly and the last month, daily. She listens to every detail of how you want your wedding and brings it to life. She contacts all of the vendors and makes sure your day goes 100% smoothly. As for the venue, our food was delicious and we had a wedding attendant who was the nicest lady, who took care of us all night up until we got in our get away car. It was wonderful and I would recommend NG to anyone.

Morgan Mai, their event coordinator, was the most amazing person to work with; timely, professional, flexible, self-sufficient, and truly worked with us to expand our ideas to create our dream wedding. She took the time to listen to our wishes, offer input when appropriate, and went out of her way to make sure our wedding was stress free.     From the moment we sent our initial inquiry, Morgan and the staff at Northgate were beyond kind, helpful and supportive of our needs. Morgan was very responsive throughout and her positive attitude really made a difference. Northgate's bridal attendant, Ms. Artie, is also a gem -- from making sure the party was on schedule to packing to-go boxes for my husband and I, and helping my mom with any last minute needs, she went above and beyond. The venue is gorgeous on its own and we couldn't be happier with how our party turned out!

    I must say that our wedding at Northgate was everything we wanted and more! Morgan the event coordinator was an absolute pleasure to work with. She went over ever detail and answered every question we had. On the day of the wedding everything was was set up on time and looked absolutely amazing. It actually rained the day of our wedding in the morning but the staff raced to dry the seats for our guest and the sun came out so we were able to have our wedding outside in the gazebo. Every item I brought to decorate the staff put out and set up for more me that was going above and beyond and I couldn't have been happier. The actual day of the wedding Morgan had to go out o town but she made sure that everything was taken care and I can't thank everyone there who helped us on our wedding! I would highly recommend this venue it's beautiful and the food is AMAZING.

    Thank you to Morgan Mai for being so accommodating as we sorted through the details of a contract she didn’t originally write. Morgan, Tony, and the rest of the NGCC staff were extremely attentive and responsive to all of our needs and requests on our wedding day.

    Although I was disappointed that Mother Nature nixed our plan to have the ceremony in Northgate's beautiful garden gazebo, I was quite impressed by how quickly and effortlessly everyone pulled together to turn the grand ballroom from ceremony set-up to reception set-up. Our guests all raved about how good the food and the service was (not to mention how beautiful the club is) and everyone seemed to have a great time despite the rain. I would absolutely recommend NGCC for your special event or wedding.

    FTR - I personally suspect the negative review below from 6/14/14 may have been during the transition period between the departure of Misty (the outgoing events director) and the onboarding of Morgan (the new events director)... That's the ONLY thing I can possibly think of that would warrant such a review. IMHO it is in no way a reflection of Morgan, Tony, and Northgate's ability host an event, and it certainly doesn't reflect OUR experience with them... We had a WONDERFUL wedding and reception there!

    WOW!!! The food at this place...... unbelievable. The new executive chef Anthony is absolutely outstanding this guy is deserving of some michelins. Look out..Rising star is not far away.

    This was the perfect place for our reception. Everyone had so much fun, and it helped that Northgate was SO pretty. I didn't even hire a florist, because the inside of Northgate is pretty in itself. Well worth it!

    From our first meeting with Misty, the event coordinator at Northgate Country Club, we knew we were in professional hands. Friendly, easy to work with and a great listener, Misty expertly guided us through the planning process. At the taste testing, Misty helped us pare down the many yummy choices by suggesting menu combinations. She also provided great advice on layout of the tables, band, cake, etc. and was amenable to changes we requested. Misty clearly communicated the service NGCC would provide and all services promised by Northgate were provided.

    Above all, Northgate provide a STUNNING & ELEGANT reception for our romantic wedding. Our guests commented on how smoothly the entire event ran and how the mother of the bride and bride were both able to totally enjoy the festivities as all the details were taken care of. The florist, cake vendor and photographer were all on NGCC’s recommended vendor list and we experienced punctual, high quality service from all three. On the day of wedding, Misty coordinated the vendors and accurately set-up table name cards in advance of guest arrival. Artey, the venue’s attendant for the bride, assisted the bride with bustling her gown and brought fresh hors d’oeuvres to the newlyweds to eat in private before their introduction/first dance.

    Upon arrival guests were met by an efficient valet service and guided into the cocktail hour. The food was hot, nicely arranged and delicious. The plated meal was served at a remarkable pace for a large event by courteous, attentive staff. We wined and dined amid the beautiful backdrop of the country club and took many photos on the breathtaking staircase. Months later, the wedding guests still compliment the venue and what a wonderful reception it was to attend!

    A big thank you to Misty and the Northgate Country Club staff for helping us create such a memorable, exquisite evening for our wedding. We highly recommend NGCC for weddings!

    I highly recommend Northgate Country Club for your wedding!! My husband and I got married there this April 5th, and it was a great experience! We researched numerous venues around Houston to find an affordable venue with a beautiful setting, great food, and accommodating event staff. We found that at NGCC. We know 3 other couples that had wedding/receptions at NGCC over the years, and they recommended it to us because they all had great experiences too. I can’t say enough about Misty, the special events coordinator. She was extremely professional, friendly, and thorough in the venue preparation. She has been in special events/weddings for many years and it shows. We planned our wedding without a wedding planner, so I really appreciated that she was so on top of the venue details. She even coordinates directly with vendors about their arrival time and information. That took some weight off my shoulders. She was onsite on the wedding day to setup, troubleshoot and make sure vendors were arriving. That was such a big asset. (FYI- Hiring a day of coordinator elsewhere costs about ~$1,000.) We had a bridal attendant who tended to the girls as we got ready, and one who was assigned to my husband and me at the reception. She was amazing! She brought us water, cocktails, and appetizers immediately after the ceremony/wedding photos, since we were missing some of the cocktail hour. She kept up with us during the reception, without being intrusive. All of our guests had a blast and raved about how fun and beautiful our wedding was! Overall, we felt like Misty and NGCC really had it together and it was one of the best decisions of our wedding planning process.

    Misty helped us with our daughters wedding planning at Northgate in July 2011.
    She was very personable and friendly and kept in touch regularly through call & e-mails. She set up a date for us to get the Bridal portraits taken there and they turned out beautiful - everything there is so perfect for a wedding. The wedding reception was fabulous and beautiful. Every staff member at Northgate went above & beyond. They provided our daughter( the Bride) with her own personal assistant for the evening - WOW! Something we never had or even thought about when our oldest daughter was married 2 years earlier at another venue. What a GEM! She was amazing & brought the bride and groom food, made sure they always had something to drink as they visited with guests, and even sent them off on their honeymoon with a "To-Go" Box of food for the hotel and for their morning, since they were so busy! She was amazing. When the loops on the brides dress broke loose, her assistant and Misty form Northgate all rallied to pin the brides dress and sew loops back on. I can't say enough about the fabulous food and the frinedly staff. All of our friends and guests were wow-ed!!
    We have more daughters ahead and will strongly encourage them to consider Northgate again. They made everything so easy!!

    Northgate is a gorgeous venue, and Misty and the rest of the staff were outstanding. We are so grateful we chose Northgate because they truly made our fairytale wedding a dream come true. Everything was on point the day of our wedding, and all of our family and guest gave compliments to Misty and the staff the entire evening! I would highly recommed this venue to anyone :)

    I had the most amazing experience at Northgate! Our wedding reception was held there on July 31, 2011. From the personalized service to the amazing food and beautiful venue, I couldn’t have asked for a better reception! Our coordinator Misty was so helpful every step of the way and was always available via email or cell phone. She went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect! We opted for lemonade to be served during the reception and since my colors were black and white and hot pink, Misty arranged for there to be pink lemonade! It was perfect! She was there the entire reception and helped me fix my dress bustle that broke. I had a bridal attendant as well and I didn’t have to do a thing the entire night. The food at Northgate is to die for and I STILL get compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was! All in all, Northgate was the perfect venue for our reception and I highly recommend it to all of my friends and family!

    I absolutely loved Northgate Country Club and couldn't have asked for a better reception there! I was nervous at first because in the middle of the wedding planning, Northgate got a new wedding coordinator named Hanna. Well, let's just say me and my mom did not like her very much and she seemed very rude and unprofessional! Then, my prayers were answered and I received an email from Misty saying she was the new wedding coordinator and I would be working with her from then on. And from then on, everything was perfect. Misty was very flexible with everything I needed. When we met her for the first time to do the food tasting, it was such a relief to have a nice, honest, and cheerful wedding coordinator, instead of what we had at first in Hanna(the previous, stuck-up coordinator).
    So it was the day before my wedding and of course there has to be something to stress me out! Well, we came to set up my linens that we rented from Linen Designs(please be advised to NEVER rent from them!) and they were absolutely terrible! The chair covers were all different shades of brown and different types of fabrics, the sashes were frayed all around the edges, and every piece of linen looked like they were bundled up in a trash bag and used as a bed to sleep on! They were so wrinkled and so embarrassing! I eventually broke down and was crying, and once Misty came upstairs and saw the linens and how upset I was, she immediately offered to call and talk to the linen company(I wouldn't really consider it a company, but I couldn't think of a better word that was appropriate!) The company told her that they would come out later that day and fix the linens. Misty assured me that it was going to be ok and to stop stressing and enjoy my rehearsal and big day the next day! So that's what I did! It wasn't until the next day that I found out that the linen company lied and they never came to fix the linens! Could have been a crisis, but fortunately for me Misty rented a steamer herself and got an iron and fixed my linens for me. That was way outside of her job description and she did not have to do that! She basically saved me from having another breakdown and I was able to enjoy the wedding without worrying about the linens!
    Also, we were running late from the church getting to the reception and I was nervous because we were given a specific time line of how everything was going to run, and now it was going to be all messed up! Well, luckily for us Misty was waiting at the door to arrive to explain our new timeline and how everything was going to run! As we tried to hurry up and bustle my train so we could go upstairs and make our entrance, my maid of honor couldn't figure out to bustle it! I was anxious to get up there and was getting frustrated, but Misty came and fixed it for me!
    The rest of the night ran very smoothly and was absolutely perfect. Everything from the food, to our own personal attendant, to our awesome wedding coordinator was none other than perfect! I'm so glad I chose Northgate Country Club to have my reception! I would absolutely recommend any future bride to have their reception there! Thank you to all the Northgate Country Club staff, and especially to Misty Hersey for making my wedding so perfect!

    My daughter's wedding reception was held at Northgate Country Club in July. She and I were both planning this event living out of state and we had such a WONDERFUL experience!!! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff were a delight to work with through the entire planning process. Misty, our event coordinator, was right on top of things the entire time. Our tasting session was a blast! When we arrived at the reception, I will never forget pulling into the drive and seeing all of the huge windows aglow with candlelight - it was truly a magical evening for us and for all of our guests. My daughter and I had a very specific idea of what we wanted the reception room to look like and how we wanted our decor placed - Misty surpassed our expectations!! It was just exquisite! The food was incredible and my daughter and son-in-law were treated like royalty!!! My husband and I even had our own attendant - it was the most unbelievable service!!! Our friends and family kept commenting on how beautiful the setting was, how delicious the food was, and how FUN the reception was!!! THANK YOU, thank you to Misty, Jemma and all of the Northgate staff for a truly special and unforgettable wedding reception for our precious daughter and son-in-law!!!!

    Beautiful venue with delicious food! Our reception looked like a fairy tale and was absolutely amazing. Additionally, Misty (the event coordinator) was very easy to work with and I was allowed to use the space at an earlier date to take my bridal portraits. May 21, 2011

    Northgate Country Club is a beautiful venue with a wonderful staff who truly set out to make your day wonderful. Michelle is great and really listens to what you want and works to make the day work as smoothly as possible. The food there is incredible and there are tons of options to work with. Everyone who attended commented on how gorgeous everything was and how perfect the day was. It truly was everything we wanted for our wedding day.

    My wedding was as perfect as it could get! I loved my wedding planner, Lindsay. I am a very organized person and do not trust many people to take over my projects, but I felt at complete ease letting Lindsay help control my day. Both the ceremony and reception went great. I had about 200 guests and Everyone told me that they absolutely loved the food. People loved the view of the lake and golf course too. I have not heard one negative comment about the wedding. I am extremely happy with the way my wedding turned out. I absolutely recommend that anyone use Northgate for any wedding or any other event.

    Northgate to the rescue. Our first venue canceled on us because of damages from hurricane Ike. We searched and I was about to settle when we came across Northgate. I instantly fell in love with that place. Not only the venue but the ceremony outside. It was definitely not in our budget but I had to have it. It was my dream wedding and I didn't care how many arms or legs were going to get cut off just for me to have this place. Not only was this place amazing, Lindsay was also amazing. She helped out so much, she was 100% involved and if I needed some kind of help at midnight...she would respond to her email or facebook ASAP.
    The food was amazing, they worked with us on a special menu. We didn't want the norm when it comes to wedding food. We wanted a spin off of latin food. They made it happen!
    The day of the rehearsal I was pretty bummed because it was going to pour the next day as well as the rest of the weekend. I wasn't too happy with plan b or c....I just didn't think that looked as beautiful as the outside ceremony. Lindsay once again came to my rescue. She offered the stairs as a ceremony site and I had to have it. The percentage of rain for the day of the wedding was 80 and Lindsay kept saying to keep our fingers crossed. I told her...rain or shine...I want it on the stairs. :)
    It poured all morning and when the ceremony started, it stopped raining...the rest of the night was clear as well as the rest of the weekend. Which means good luck to our marriage. :)

    The Northgate Country Club was AMAZING! Michele the event coordinator was awesome. Her experience and attention to detail was so helpful. We had our ceremony and reception at Northgate. Michele handled all the set up, tear down, all communications with the vendors for that day. All I had to do was show up and get dressed. They were very good at guiding me through choosing vendors, and setting them. ANY time I had a question, regarding the country club or just simple wedding advice I could call her. Her assistant Christina was amazing too. She helped out so much. They were both like quiet little busy bees in the background making sure everything went off without a hitch (and it did). The food is WONDERFUL!! Yumyum! For the service, beauty and the food... it was a STEAL!

    I had my wedding here 12 years ago and it was wonderful. The Wedding Coordinator, Angela, was helpful and professional. She took care of everything and I never had any worries.

    Misty did a fabulous job being very flexible with us! She was more than willing to meet with us several times for the tasting because we were unsure with the hordevours. The food was great and we got plenty of compliments from it! The venue is fantastic and it is unfortunately that it rained the day of our wedding. We were suppose to have an outdoor ceremony but it was moved to underneath the porto cochere, which was still gorgeous due to the mirrors on the ceilings. We loved working with Misty. Also, the bridal attendant (I can't remember her name right now) was so on top of things and always there when I needed another drink! It had been a longgggggggg day and it was very much needed by the time we got to the country club. Thanks again to Misty and her team for the fabulous work!

    A classy and elegant place. Morgan is very detail-oriented and flexible, and even though I didn't get to personally set things up (I'm also very detail-oriented, and a bit of a perfectionist) everything came out to my satisfaction. Many of my guests told me afterwards that it was "just like a fairy tale" and "everything was perfect." If we had to do it again, I'd still choose Northgate.

    From the beginning, my husband and I didn't have a traditional engagement/wedding planning experience. We got engaged and then immediately moved to Florida where he was stationed for the Air Force. After talking to a few other venues and coordinators, I knew Northgate was the place for our reception. Misty and the entire Northgate staff were so accomodating and helpful as I planned my entire wedding from another state. I was only able to come in once before the week before the wedding and Misty was able to get all of the necessary details hammered out in less than an hour. It was so nice to not have to deal with a pretentious coordinator. Instead, Misty was funny, nice, and incredibly sincere in everything she did for our wedding. I seriously don't know what i woudl have done without her. We didn't have the biggest budget, and Misty helped us figure out the best way to fit my dream wedding into my budget reality. She even made sure all of the table runners, napkins, and centerpieces I brought in were set up for me, and there were live fish in my centerpieces. She let me bring in everything the day before and kept it in her office until the staff was ready to set it up. All of my concerns were answered with a calm "no problem," or "don't worry about it," or "i'll make sure it gets done exactly the way you want it." Our wedding favors were sunglasses and Misty took it upon herself to lay out a pair at every seat, and there were over 200 people at the reception. It was such a relief, especially considering half of our guests were from New Jersey and the other half from Texas: we had 2 very different wedding expecations to fullfill, and with Misty's help, we pulled it off with flying colors. My husband and I and both of our parents received calls for a full 2 weeks after the wedding from guests in awe of the beautiful reception and venue, incredible food, and over FUN time they had at the wedding. If I had to plan the wedding all over again (thankfully, I don't, but if I absolutely had to...), there's not a doubt in my mind that I have the reception at Northgate again. Thanks again to Misty and all of the Northgate Staff!

    Northgate Country Club (NCC) is a gorgeous venue, and I had my wedding reception there. My on-site coordinator was Misty, who was very flexible with our arrangements. On the wedding day, Arty was my bridal attendant, and she took great care of us! She made sure the bridal party's belongings got to the changing room, that my husband and I got a hot plate of food, and that our drinks were always topped off. I saw that everyone there was working hard to make things go smoothly.

    My mother-in-law noticed that one of the dishes we chose for the menu was not served to our guests, but was replaced with something else (without notifying us). That was a bit disappointing, but the food was good. Another issue was due to a breakdown in communication with the cake baker. Based on my understanding of the situation, someone at NCC forgot to deliver a message, and that eventually led to several misunderstandings and the situation becoming bigger than it should have been.

    We fell in love with the site on our first visit. We held both the ceremony and reception there. Our ceremony was held outdoor right in front of the fountain. It was very very beautiful. The pictures we took outside came out to be gorgeous! Michele, the wedding coordinator, and her assistant did a really good job in making our dream wedding come true. They were really wonderful at the rehearsal, and they did a good job in coaching my big family for the ceremony the next day. The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. I was stress-free on my wedding day!

    The venue is nice; however if you plan to use this venue make sure to have an on site wedding planner or coordinator the day of because some things feel through the crack. Morgan the onsite coordinator at times was missing not sure where she was and she left a couple hours before reception was over and we were left making sure the bouquet and garter toss was done; in which we were told that on the day of we wouldn't have to worry about anything she would handle everything in regards to the schedule. Also make sure you compare what other venues offer. NG is a little pricey and their decorations are outdated so you will need a decorator, which possibly makes the price a not so good price, but overall the wedding was beautiful.

    This Venue is absolutely gorgeous!! I loved the look it gave my wedding and the flexibility I had was great. I would totally get married there again and again! The food was wonderful everyone told em how amazing it was. the presentation and everything was to die for! I wish I could eat dinner there all the time! The down side is that it was super hard to get a hold of Misty the event coordinator when I called. When I signed the contract she was new there and gave me paperwork from the previous event coordinator which was fine until I asked her things that were in the paper work and she said "oh we don't do that" That, yet again would have been fine and dandy if she updated me on the paperwork when she got situated there. She DID honor the paperwork and gave me better deals than what it was showing. Another minor complaint was that she gave me a deal on a specific decoration and told me she would throw it in for me since I signed during the Bridal Extravaganza. When asked about it later she must have not noted it and told me that it was extra. Which when its down to the wire and someone tells you that you have to pay more for what you envisioned its a bit of a shocker. In the end she DID give it to me after I reminded her the circumstances. Lastly, I was told that she would be with me on my wedding day helping me with the flow of the wedding its self so of course I told her all the little details. Well the day of I had a bridal assistant which is fine she was wonderful and helped a lot! But, I was not told there was going to be a bridal assistant and I didn't even see Misty until dinner when she was helping cleaning up. I am sure she was doing tons of things behind the scenes but I just wish I was told that she was not going to be there helping me and that I was going to have someone else. I was under the wrong impression for many different things. All in all I loved Northgate!

    I recently got married at Northgate Country Club. The wedding was beautiful, and I got endless compliments on the physical appearance of the wedding and taste of the food. The cake was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, the linens were great and the DJ had the party going all night. The staff was also great. Jemma, the Service Director, the bridal assistant Arteerean, and the other staff were very kind and friendly, and took great care of us. However, after spending a year planning my wedding, I have to say I was less than impressed with the unprofessional planning process that took place at Northgate, and my final wedding coordinator, Misty. Towards the end of my planning process I was not looking forward to my wedding because of all of the headaches Northgate was causing. I was crying a lot for the last couple of weeks leading up to my wedding. It was supposed to be a joyous moment for me but it was not at all. Unfortunately I keep in mind the trouble that I had with Northgate and that gets in the way of the joy I should look back on. It was not the experience I was expecting to have with them. If I could do it all over again I would do everything the same except have my wedding at Northgate.
    I went through 3 wedding coordinators throughout the 1 year I was planning my wedding. Unfortunately, nothing was being written down in our file, so when the last coordinator, Misty, came in, it was like we were starting over from the beginning. Since Misty never emailed me to introduce herself or give me her contact information, I had to email other Northgate employees to even find out who she was. I thought it was very rude and unprofessional of her to not introduce herself, and go over the wedding details with a bride who was already in a contract with the country club.
    Another frustration was that, instead of going over our wedding details with me, she would make changes and neglect to tell me. For example, she changed the menu we were given by the previous coordinator, didn’t tell me, and made it difficult when I requested it be changed back to what I was promised before. We had to contact the owner to get the problem resolved. In the end, our problem got solved but I do not feel that the problem should of escalated to as big of a deal as it did. The only way I would find out about any of the changes, was if I asked questions, and luckily I did! Can you imagine showing up on your wedding day with these big changes and not knowing about them?
    Also, when we discussed the date and time to have my wedding rehearsal, Misty said I could do it at any time on the day we chose. A week before the wedding she said we couldn’t have the rehearsal at the time we decided because there was another event happening. This pushed our rehearsal back to 8:00 in the evening, which my family and I were unhappy about because it was so late and we had made dinner plans. It was also frustrating because the guests from the previous event were still lingering around during our rehearsal, making it difficult for us to practice. To top it all off, Misty did not even show up for the wedding rehearsal! At this point, my aunt, who happens to have previous experience working as a coordinator at Northgate, took over my wedding rehearsal and sort of became my unofficial wedding coordinator since Misty was neglecting to do her job.
    During the day of the wedding, Misty never came up to me to see how everything was going or to congratulate us or anything. She practically ignored us. In fact, most of the time, the workers there were asking my aunt, who was my bridesmaid, what was going on because Misty was not around or didn’t have answers to their questions. My maid of honor also went to Misty to ask her where something was and Misty sarcastically replied “I don’t know, no one tells me anything. Maybe Hanna (who is my aunt and was my bridesmaid) will know.” I was told by my bridesmaids and guests that they got sarcastic and rude responses from Misty on numerous occasions which I find very unprofessional and inappropriate coming from someone who is supposed to be a professional.
    Another issue was that we were promised that heavy hors d’ oeuvres would be served for an hour. The food was delicious however, some of them were only served and refilled for only 30 minutes. One of my guests didn’t even get any, and when she asked Misty if they were going to put out more, she replied, “No, we are not going to refill those”. I also had guests telling me that the waiters were picking up plates before they were even finished. Sadly, some of my guests had to hold on to their plates so they wouldn’t get taken away. What’s even worse is that my father-in-law, some wedding party members, and guests were not served cake. After waiting to be served, my father-in-law took it upon himself to go to the kitchen to get a piece of cake.
    We were told that Northgate would set up and break down any extra decorations that we bring. Not a single employee of Northgate offered to help us. When Hanna went downstairs to ask if Northgate Staff would do the set up, the front desk agent told her “I will find out and let you know”. Two hours later they still had told us nothing. My bridesmaids were running around Northgate trying to get everything set up because another promise was broken by Northgate. When the wedding was over, stress was left on my family to break down and pack all of our pictures, cake, and other décor. I later found out that my family was left to do this and didn’t leave Northgate until after 1 AM. My Maid of Honor told me she went downstairs to ask a lady at the front desk if she and the other staff members would help clean up and she was sarcastically told, “We can’t do that anymore”. I was extremely angry and irritated to find out that my family had to do the work that I was told would be done by Northgate staff.
    As future advice, I would encourage Northgate to give the groomsmen private locker rooms, as the groomsmen told me there were men in and out of there all night who were smoking, and left the disgusting smell of cigarette smoke on our groomsmen tuxedos and belongings.
    I thank all of the wait staff, bartenders, Service Director Jemma, and bridal assistant Arteerean, for their wonderful service as we were more than pleased with their assistance. However, I would absolutely not recommend this venue to prospective brides because of their neglectful, unprofessional, irresponsible, sarcastic, “coordinator”, Misty. I would encourage all of the future brides to steer clear of Northgate Country club when you are searching for a wedding venue. Though it is a beautiful venue, the headache and disappointment of the service received there by the coordinator is not worth it. One of my bridesmaids and my maid of honor have written an email to the owner of Northgate Country Club and have yet to get a response from him.

    BEWARE!!!! NGFCC is a DISASTEROUS venue for a wedding!

    Their "event planner" is totally incompetent and useless. Our wedding would have been a complete flop if we had not had our own private wedding planner. The entire staff was unprofessional and incompetent, from the venue not being open on time the morning of our wedding, breakfast not being served to the wedding party on time(they could not even manage to provide water for the bride), food was not refreshed on a timely manner and guests thought we had run out of food, the bartender was not always behind the bar, the cake was not plated correctly; and this is to only mention a few things. Shockingly, the staff continually sought members of the wedding party out throughout the day and made "backstabbing" comments about each other to us.

    Informing the general manager of concerns is simply not an option, as we discovered. His response was to deny most of what WE ourselves witnessed and experienced. STAY AWAY from this venue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There are far too many reputable venues available to risk one of the most important days of your life at this one.

    Northgate Country Club was the biggest mistake for a wedding venue. The general manager, event planner, and staff are unprofessional and completing lacking of any integrity. I would never attend any event there again.
