Nadia Pessoa is and extraordinarily talented Master HARPIST. Kind & Very Professional

Nadia Pessoa is INCREDIBLE! She is insanely talented, humble, affable, hard-working and considerate. She is the consummate professional, and will work to make your big day a memorable one. She is a genius harpist. Nadia's rates were very reasonable.

My wife and I enjoyed her performance immensely! She was absolutely amazing. Her collaboration with our reverend was pure genius. We found it particularly moving.

Our guests cannot stop raving about her. Our parents were totally thrilled by her performance! My grandmother commented that she was not aware that music emanating from a harp could be so beautiful, powerful, and vibrant. We only wish that we could have remained in 'the chapel' for more of her performance. We were quickly whisked away (by design) following the ceremony, so as to maximize our time with the photographer, while most our guests remained in our makeshift chapel, and were treated to her full performance!

Nadia made our wedding ceremony a wonderful and memorable event. We cannot say enough good things about her, or recommend her more highly! Working with her was an absolute delight. We would love to collaborate with her again, in the very near future!

Excellent!

Planning a wedding is difficult. Nadia was one of my favorite vendors to work with. It was quite simple really. She responded to emails in a timely manner, she was professional, she offered thoughtful suggestions based on my tastes, and on the day of the wedding, she did exactly what I asked her to do. Not to mention, she is talented and plays the harp beautifully. At the end of the cocktail hour, I hadn't had time to make my way over to her, but she approached me gracefully and tactfully right before the reception to thank me for having her and I really appreciated getting a chance to speak to her. Nadia's a gem, and I definitely recommend her.

I truly doubt you will find a better harpist for your wedding. Not only is her playing artful and beautiful, but Nadia is amazing to work with. While I knew the vibe I wanted for live music, I was lost on some of the more precise details - Nadia keyed right into what I wanted and gave me thoughtful options for each part of ceremony that helped me narrow in on exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Collaborating with her was a dream: some vendors would stomp all over my ideas, or try to tell me what I wanted instead of listening, but Nadia worked with me by advising me with her experience and addressing my concerns with respect. The musical choices that we made together really polished the ceremony and enhanced the mood incredibly. I would highly recommend Nadia!

Nadia was amazing to work with. She has a huge repertoire from classical to contemporary/pop. Our guests raved about her. She was excellent with communication. She also was a champ for playing in the blazing sun. Highly recommend!

Nadia was the perfect musical accompaniment for our spring wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Nadia was incredibly professional and easy to work with in the months planning the wedding. She gave us a vast list of songs to choose from for before, during, and after the ceremony as well as the cocktail hour. She also helped us narrow down our style for music and ways to get in our favorite songs. Nadia knew the perfect mix of traditional and modern songs to make our wedding personal but classic. She was easily adaptable to last minute changes and I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing day-of. Everyone loved having the harp music and it really set the perfect tone for our wedding.

Nadia is a fantastic harpist. We were lucky to have discovered her and she was available for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on 10/10/15. Her music is classy and sophisticated and I loved that she had a lengthy list of diverse songs to choose from. I would highly recommend Nadia for any function one may have.

We used Nadia for our wedding last weekend. She was wonderful to work with! Very responsive and provided us a music list for the ceremony. She was a beautiful addition to our outdoor ceremony and music sounded better than I imagined. She was very reasonable in price and I wouldn't change anything about it!

Nadia was a true joy to work with in everyway possible. Nadia did the ceremony music for our wedding, accompanied by a cellist (Hrant). She was a pleasure to work with, and the music was definitely one of the highlights of the wedding. She worked with us before the wedding to help us select songs for the different parts of the ceremony, providing samples of songs she had previously played. There was one song that we really wanted played at our ceremony that wasn't in her repertoire. She and the cellist came up with an arrangement for it and it was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out, and Nadia was so helpful, warm, and responsive throughout the process. I'm so glad she and Hrant were a part of our wedding!

Nadia was an absolute dream to work with. In my experience, her enthusiasm, accommodation, professionalism, and exceptional talent are unparalleled. Of particular note, I was truly touched that Nadia *created* arrangements for selections that were meaningful to my family, but not on her standard list nor traditionally arranged for the harp and violin. From a practical perspective, Nadia was extremely easy to work with; prompt, knowledgeable, and kind. Although the music was very important to me (and my mother), I never stressed out about it because Nadia was at the helm.

If my husband and I were to "do it all over again", Nadia would be our first hire!

An amazing musician! I interviewed a bunch of people (harpist and violinist) to hire for my Wedding! Nadia was hands down a clear winner and she surely did not disappoint as her talent is amazing! On top of that she also helped me find an equally talented violinist; thus, saved me some time to research and coordinate (as she took care if that)- next anniversary or big party I will def. hire Nadia again!!!

Nadia's harp playing was one of the highlights of our wedding. People couldn't stop talking about how classy it was.

She is a world-class musician who will instantly upgrade any event. She was a dream to work with, helping us develop our setlist and even learning new songs just for us.

Nadia played beautifully for my outdoor wedding. I'm a music teacher and had lots of musician friends as guests. Music was really important to me! Her selections for the prelude were perfect. She accompanied a choral ensemble, played a duet with my cellist daughter, as well as the traditional wedding march. I highly recommend Nadia for your wedding.

Nadia played the harp at my wedding with Megan, who played flute. They were incredibly professional and accommodating. I wanted non-traditional music and they worked with me to pick songs that were fitting for the occasion. Nadia and Megan played beautiful versions of the Final Fantasy theme song for our processional, the Princess Bride wedding song for my walk down the aisle, and the Game of Thrones theme song for our recessional. The music sounded amazing and elegant and all of our guests loved it.

Nadia stepped in at the last moment. She made me feel like she had been with me the whole time. She answered all my emails quickly, and was easy to talk to on the phone. She went ahead of time to the site to check it out and make sure everything would be ok. She played beautiful music and even accompanied my cousin as she sang. I would highly recommend Nadia.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony music provided by Nadia. She is an incredible musician who impressed everyone at our wedding. Nadia is not only an absolutely fantastic musician and harpist, but she is also a complete professional and genuinely nice person. I hired Nadia to perform with a string quartet for my ceremony, and she was very responsive and willing to work with the other musicians I had hired. I was able to email her the custom musical arrangements that were done for the ceremony, and she arrived completely prepared the day of the wedding. Her performance was perfect, and it added so much to the ceremony to have Nadia and the other musicians performing live. I cannot recommend Nadia highly enough, no matter what kind of wedding you are having, her lovely harp playing will add a level of elegance you won't be able to find anywhere else!

This is a very talented young lady who produces beautiful music. She provided music at the actual wedding ceremony. We picked from her standard list but she was certainly willing to work with us had we wanted something special. Her business practices were professional as well. We wanted a harpist for our wedding and looked at all the wedding websites for recommendations and hit the jackpot with Nadia Pessoa. Nadia is first so sweet and the first time I talked with her over the phone and through email, she feels like a friend you've known forever. She was very professional and the whole process was smooth and easy. Nadia helped us select songs for the ceremony and even learned two new songs for us "Marry Me" and "Good Life." We had a very hot day, but Nadia showed up early and played until every last guest left. She was proactive and got in contact with our venue and other vendors we were working with. As much planning as there is with a wedding, this was the most stress free "task" on our list. I will recommend her to all of my engaged couples!

Above and beyond... A few weeks before our wedding, there was a really bad storm in our area and a lot of places lost power for a few days. Nadia told me she had lost power in her building and of course the elevator was out, but she is that dedicated that she lugged her Harp down a few flight of stairs to be able to play for a wedding. Now that is the kind of dedication I would want in a vendor!

We engaged Nadia Pessoa to play the harp at our recent wedding. We could not have been happier with our choice! She played some ‘prelude’ music as guests were arriving, and then two pieces we had chosen to accompany the entrance of the Matron of Honor and of the Bride. During the ceremony, she accompanied our soloist who sang three beautiful songs. She then played throughout the cocktail hour and dinner.
Nadia was a joy to work with from initial planning, through her rehearsing with our soloist, to her performance on the day. The ceremony was held outdoors on a hot June day, under the partial shade of some trees and with just enough breeze to make the heat tolerable. Nadia took it in her stride!
Apart from the pieces we had chosen for the processional and ceremony, we had left he choice of music to Nadia, having discussed with her our broad ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’. She selected pieces that fitted the occasion perfectly, as many of our guests commented. Her sensitive playing during the ceremony evoked an unexpectedly emotional response from several of the guests.
We are so thankful that we found Nadia. She brought a lovely touch of romance and style to our special day, and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her for yours.

Nadia Pessoa did a fabulous job at our wedding ceremony. She was quick to respond at emails and work with our music selection requests. Before we booked her, we did a hearing at her house. We wanted to here her live and discuss our music selection. When I heard her play, I almost cried (I was trying to keep my cool and not be a crybaby during our appointment with her...lol). I knew that she was the one I wanted for our ceremony, everyone said she did a wonderful job and how elegant it was to hear a harpist and flutist play at the ceremony. I can truly say I would recommend Nadia to anyone --- be it for a ceremony, cocktail, corporate or even a retirement party. She's talented and easy to work with.

Nadia is awesome!
I request a special song for ceremony which she didn't know. But she practiced and mastered the music piece before the wedding. Her harpist skill is just awesome and fantastic that she played all my requested song beatifully. I highly recommend Nadia to anybody who is looking for the best harpiest in Maryland/Virginia/D.C!

I chose to have a harpist perform during my wedding ceremony because the venue could not be traditionally decorated. Since the harp is such a beautiful instrument, I figured this would be a perfect addition to the space.

Nadia came highly recommended to me – upon contacting her, I found that quite a few things could simply be handled by email or through her website. The website itself had enough information to answer most questions; but, if I needed additional info , Nadia was always available.

On the day of my wedding, I was pleasantly surprised (and impressed) to find that Nadia had arrived to the venue early – she had already met with the pastor and situated herself by the time I arrived. I would like to note that the morning of my wedding was hectic – as the turbulent weather caused many people (including the ceremony coordinator to be late). No one met with Nadia when she arrived, yet she was ready to play… I received many, many compliments from the guests on her performance.

Extremely talented, polite and professional, I would highly recommend Nadia to play at any engagement.

Nadia is an accomplished harpist and professional business woman. She e-mailed links to sample musical pieces to consider. During our first face-to-face encounter, she detailed what she could offer for our wedding and played additional pieces for us to consider. She provided suggestions when we seemed hesitant and each time was right-on. She even offered us a choice of how she should be attired.

The day of the wedding she arrived promptly, well dressed in a black dress, and arranged herself and her harp in the chapel. She played mutiple pieces as the guests arrived and seated themselves. Nadia was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding ceremony. Nadia coordinated our request for a flutist, in addition to her harp and it was a beautiful combination. Nadia is very professional, responsive, and friendly. She provided us music suggestions and samples based on our request for a harp-flute combination. Nadia followed up with me well in advance of the wedding to ensure we were on the same page. She even took a moment at the end of the ceremony as we gathered for pictures to wish us well and thank us. She is wonderful person to work with -- highly recommend her!

We had the harp & cello combination for our wedding. The music was beautiful and both musicians were great at transitioning, and melding the music to fit various time constraints during the ceremony. Nadia and her colleague Ben played as a harp and cello duo at our wedding on May 8th, 2010. I was extremely impressed by every aspect of my interaction with Nadia. She was always professional yet very friendly, and willing to spend extra time working with us to make our wedding day as special and personalized as possible. Nadia provided beautiful music for my wedding ceremony. The harp added a very elegant feel. Being a classically trained musician myself, I had specific pieces that I wanted played for the ceremony and Nadia was able to handle all of my requests as well as provide her feedback on the selections.

I would not have anyone else as my ceremonial musician. Nadia is very professional and so sweet. She kept in touch throughout the process and was very prompt in the responses. I was very indecisive with my music selections and she helped me tremendously by providing me with samples to listen and offering her professional suggestions. She made it very easy for a stressful bride regarding the payment of the service. I was able to pay through paypal as often and as little as I want throughout the process as long as I paid her full a day before the wedding. I cannot tell you how easy that was. I kept telling her I wished my other vendors were as easy to work with as her. I have recommended her to couple of my friends who are getting married and I will continue to do so.

When planning my wedding, my mother insisted on finding a harpist to provide the ceremony music. After performing a simple search on the internet I stumbled across Nadia Pessoa. I took a look at her website and was impressed by the level of information available. It was at that moment I realized I needed to meet Nadia in person. After the first chord I was convinced. The sound she produced with her harp was one of the most beautiful sounds I'd ever heard in my life and almost brought us to tears. She played for what seemed to be hours as we soon become lost in a trance. Needless to say, we hired Nadia on the spot. Throughout the next few weeks, Nadia continued to exceed our expectations with her professionalism. She responded promptly to e-mails/calls and attended the rehearsal.

Our guests were simply blown away at the wedding when they heard Nadia perform. I am SOOOOOO happy we chose her to complete our special day and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Nadia has been in communication with us after the wedding to continue to wish us well on our marriage. While most musicians may forget your name and number as soon as the fee is spent, Nadia, on the other hand, has continued values the connections she makes and works hard to maintain them.

If you're looking for a harpist, look no further. Nadia Pessoa is undoutbaly one of the best musicians I've heard in my life and will exceed your expectations with her skill and professionalism. I highly recommend her for any job you have in mind.

It was a wonderful experience for us to have Nadia Pessoa play her harp at our wedding reception. Nadia is a very talented harpist and her professionalism, personality and music added a touch of class to our wedding reception. Our guests were thrilled by the music she played and her playing was at the right volume for our guests to talk while enjoying beautiful renditions of our favorite jazz and classical tunes. Nadia is easy to work with, shows up on time for events and is very personable. She played flawlessly throughout our reception and even included an extra tune into her repertoire in honor of the place of our engagement - Paris, France. She is very accommodating and worked with our reception timetable to make our special day even more special. Both Nadia and the flutist were wonderful! The ceremony music was even more beautiful than I expected. Nadia was there on time, greeted me, set up, and started playing. Nadia was my first experience with a harpist and I was thoroughly pleased with her entire performance and dealing with her altogether. A great person and a beautiful harpist. I felt so lucky that she was available for our ceremony! She was so fantastic with the last minute curve ball of having to also use a cantor for the ceremony. I wanted something other than an organ for our ceremony and I thought a harpist would be a good way to go- she did not disappoint, she was excellent.
She was knowledgeable about traditional Catholic ceremonies and what music is appropriate because I was pretty clueless, but she had sample playlists and gave suggestions.. We got so many compliments on her from our guests.

Nadia Pessoa performed at my wedding and I’m completely satisfied and impressed with her performance, knowledge of music, and professionalism. Music plays a major role in setting the tone for a ceremony and her performance created a calming and romantic atmosphere. It’s better than I would have imagined and my guests absolutely loved her performance.

Planning a wedding and working with some vendors can be difficult, but Nadia made the whole process stress-free and manageable. She clearly placed a high importance on meeting and satisfying my needs. I would gladly hire her again and encourage anyone looking for a harpist to book her.

Nadia is an wonderful harpist. Her level of musicianship is very high and she is able to play any piece requested. She is very musical and other professional musicians enjoy working with her greatly. I am also a professional musician and was very relieved that she was playing for my wedding as I knew that I was in "good hands" with her! I sat back and relaxed whenever the music was playing knowing that the music would be top notch and it was!

Nadia was so easy to work with and even coordinated with my friend to sing while Nadia played her harp. She really took the time to organize the music for our ceremony. Her musical talent really added sophistication to our ceremony.
