Lindley Scott House was beyond amazing! It is such a beautiful place to have a wedding. My husband and I are so grateful we found this venue and we loved every bit and moment we had there. Diane is such an amazing, sweet, patient and funny woman that answered all my questions (there were A LOT ;) ) and she did everything she could to make sure our wedding day went perfectly no matter what. I appreciated her so much and she was very kind and very helpful. Also, Scott was amazing as well, he was very professional and helpful throughout our wedding day. During our wedding couple photos, he asked if my husband and I would like drinks while taking our photos and we were surprised by that but we loved it at the same time! :) Overall, I would highly recommend Lindley Scott House. It is a beautiful intimate place to celebrate a special day with your friends, family, and loved ones. -

This venue was the perfect place for our wedding. Diane was so helpful and sweet. We loved working with her so much! Our reception went perfectly with the help of Scott the coordinator! He was so accommodating and always made sure we were well taken care of. The venue is beautiful and very private. So elegant. Would highly recommend this venue to a friend and wish we can relive our day over and over! -

When I first stepped foot on property, I knew it was something special. Diane, Scott & George were a dream to work with. I felt as though we were part of their family, they were kind, professional, straightforward & efficient. The day of my wedding, everything was seamless and perfect. They had a huge staff to serve dinner. They coordinated our grand entrance & bridal procession perfectly. They were so kind to our vendors (mariachi & Photo Booth, photographer). I honestly could have not dreamed of a more perfect venue. All my guests kept saying how impressed they were with our BEAUTIFUL the venue was and how much detail was put into it everything. Brides, you will NOT be disappointed with this venue. You’re in the best hands with the Lindley Scott House.🤍🥂 -

The Lindley-Scott House made our wedding day so so wonderful. Diane, Scott, George, and Helen, along with the kitchen and site staff, took such great care of us. They worked with our DJ’s (Entertainment Express) and our other vendors to create a seamless day for us. They went above and beyond assisting us with all of our questions and concerns. Food was delicious, ceremony was beautiful, planning process was relatively simple (given the fact that it was a WEDDING)…Best day ever. Thank you, Lindley-Scott House! -Arianne and Jack -

Our Love Story
We had our Spring Wedding and Reception at The Lindley Scott House and we cannot express our sincere gratitude to Diane and Scottie our Wedding Coordinators. Everything was exactly as described and offered for our event. Selection of Meal Choices, Cake and Champagne Toast were included in venue pricing. The estate is beyond beautiful and you get an outdoor tree covered wedding within a city. The reception facility is absolutely lovely. You have full control over decorating and contracting your DJ, Photographers,Officiant and Florist. Super Thankful for Hosting Our Special Day -❤️ -

Honestly, we feel so grateful to have booked the Lindley Scott House. I booked Lindley Scott because of their amazing prices- it really is such a good price for everything that comes with booking this venue. The venue is gorgeous, the location is easy to get to, and the fact that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same place was great. Another plus was the handicap accessibility of this place- it was ideal for our older family members. From the moment I reached out through Wedding Wire, Diane was so helpful. We met with her to tour the grounds and she answered all of our questions (also she’s so funny and sweet, we love her). We booked this venue over a year before the wedding, and all throughout the planning process- whenever I had questions or anything, Diane was there to help. We chose to get married at the arch area, as our wedding was in late July and the arch area is shaded. We didn’t have to worry about chairs, or set up/clean up, linens, the cake, anything! All I had to do was book outside vendors for photography, DJ, and floral/decor. The fact that in house coordinators are provided is also so great. Diane was up front about what they do and don’t do- we met with George for the rehearsal and it went really smoothly. He answered our questions and was great to work with. The day of, I got ready at a nearby hotel and we got to the venue at 4:30pm. Francesca was so sweet and helpful all throughout our time there. Our photographer took lots of pictures before the ceremony- of the bridal party, ceremony set up, etc. From there everything just went SO perfect. We had been told by family and friends to expect at least one thing to go wrong. It didn’t. We felt supported and stress free the day of, because the multiple in house coordinators were working hard to ensure everything was flowing as it should. We got to be present with each other and our loved ones because we knew everything was being taken care of. The dinner was SO YUMMY. We did the tri tip or chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everyone loved it! Francesca was so attentive the whole time. She got me and my husband drinks, and I was so caught up in the evening that I didn’t eat my dinner much. She offered to pack a fresh plate for me to go! And packed up some of our cake for us as well 🥹 she would check in and see if we needed anything. It was so sweet. We felt so taken care of. It really was the happiest day of our lives so far and we are so thankful to Diane, George, Francesca, everyone at the Lindley Scott House that made our day!
I saw someone mention the parking on here- it is tandem! We had the option of hiring a valet but instead let our guests know ahead of time the parking situation. It didn’t end up being an issue at all.
I saw someone else talking about the no open flames rule- it makes sense and I was kind of bummed that we couldn’t have real candles, but I just got artificial tea lights in beautiful votives and they were gorgeous :) -

I absolutely LOVED this venue!!! My husband and I initially wanted to get married in May of 2021 but because of covid we decided to postpone until November of 2021. The venue was extremely accommodating to this. No hassle or issues with them. Working with Diane was an absolute blast! She is very responsive and one the the sweetest people I've gotten to work with while planning my wedding. I must have asked her a million questions and she answered every one.
The venue itself is gorgeous. I myself attended APU (which is across the street from the venue) for 4 years and I never even knew the place existed! It's as gorgeous as the photos. It really is like stepping in to another world when you enter the property.
The bridal suite is gorgeous and roomy. The staircase is lovely. The staff are very friendly and nice.
The ceremony area has lots of shade provided by a few large trees.
The reception hall is roomy and while still being comfortable and roomy. (we had just under 100 guests). The food was very good as well for the reception.
My husband and I were planning and paying for our wedding ourselves and we were worried we wouldn't be able to find a place that we liked within our budget. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with this place. It is very reasonably priced and it comes with many perks :).
I cannot say how happy I am that we found this place! Not only was the house and reception hall beautiful, but also the grounds. The only thing you probably have to be ok with is the color yellow :D.

There was a point when we weren’t sure we’d be able to have the wedding we wanted in Southern California for the budget we had...then came the Lindley Scott House and it was an answered prayer. Where we were getting nickel and dimed for every little thing possible at other venues, having our ceremony and reception here didn’t come with any hidden catches, gimmicks, or fees.
We had such a wonderful experience with George and Diane that started with answering our venue inquiry almost immediately at 10pm one night and wrapping up with George helping the guys pin on their boutineers before the Ceremony, day of!
They were very helpful, flexible, straightforward and communicative throughout our whole planning process, even making extra accommodations to help us make sure our guests felt safe in this post-covid time. The food was delicious (something we were nervous about up until the day, because there are no food tastings at this venue), the bartenders and waitstaff were so pleasant and professional, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the venue itself was! It was such a perfect day and we can’t thank The LS House enough for hosting it! -

What can I say? Diane, George, amber and the rest of the staff at the lindley-Scott house helped make our day more perfect than we could have imagined. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Diane is such a sweetheart. She was available to answer all my questions and to ease my mind when we were a lil more than stressed out. She always was able to calm us down and ease our stress. We honestly had no idea of what we were doing and she helped guide thru. They made our day so much more beautiful than we could have imagined. From the moment we walked out on to the property my husband and I knew that this was the place! From the house to the grounds everything was exceptionally beautiful. The historic house was gorgeous and just the perfect place to combine both of our styles. The beautiful garden was breath taking. The day of coordinator Amber was so awesome she guided us every step of the way. The wait staff was so friendly any time we needed anything someone was more than happy to help us out. George guided us on our rehearsal night down to the last tiny detail. He even gave us a couple trivia questions about the house. It was fun. All I can say about the lindley-Scott house is if you like the old time historical look this place is perfect. And all the staff there will do anything and everything to help make sure your day goes perfect and beautiful. If we were to do a vow renewal I would want to do it here again. We had nothing to worry about all we needed to do that day was enjoy ourselves and focus on one another which was such an amazing feeling. All I needed to do was be present in every moment with my handsome loving husband. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL AT THE LINDLEY-SCOTT HOUSE!!!! -

Diane was very easy to work with and responsive to any questions or concerns I had. She has many years of experience and recommended very good vendors that we enjoyed working with. The venue was beautiful and has space for both the ceremony and the reception so it's very convenient. I was afraid at first to have my ceremony outdoors but there is so much shade provided by beautiful huge trees that even when my wedding day peaked at 100 degrees, the actual ceremony was perfect! The reception was equally fantastic and the food was amazing. The acoustics and the ambience of the room was great as well and really added to the night. On top of this, this venue is extremely affordable and had the best prices, when compared to 10 or so other wedding venues I looked at. -

Our experience at the Lindley-Scott House was truly memorable. We were so well taken care of by Diane and George. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful venue that we didn't even have to search elsewhere. I loved especially that the venue practically took care of everything for us easing a lot of stress and anxiety. We went with the filet mignon option and married on a Friday. I truly want to thank everyone at the venue for such a wonderful wedding we had. Our guests are still raving about the wedding. -

Our Wedding was September 15th 2018. Diane the owner was very easy to get in to contact with and very professinal. The wedding coordinator's (sorry I forgot their names but it was a man and a women) were super on top of things, making sure that my new Husband and I had everything we needed.(a whole bottle of champagne for myself lol at our sweetheart table😊) The bridal sweet was nice but small all of my bridesmaids my mother and kids were allowed up there. We got to do our frist look on the beautiful stair case. The ceromy went as plan, the only thing was that after the ceromy nobody was directing our guest to the reception area and our guest were just standing around. Our grand entrance went well not sure if the DJ or wedding coordinators had the wrong order of the bridal party names to enter. Food was good didnt get to eat much bc i was so busy. Bartender was great and service was fast always serving bride and groom first. Dance floor was perfect size even though it looks small it brought everyone closer to dance together. Restroom were decent. I wish we had more time at our weeding we only had 5 in a half hrs. But overall great Wedding! Thank you Lindley-scott house😊😊😊 -

From the moment we walked into the Lindley-Scott House we fell in love with the place. It was the first venue we visited and we knew that we wanted to get married there. Diane was amazing, she established a great relationship with me, my husband and two daughters the first time we met. During the 9 months before our wedding she remembered the small details about our big day, even remembering my daughter hates asparagus.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the staff was professional and I absolutely LOVED our Wedding Coordinator. She was the perfect person to have by my side when the DJ played the wrong song or when we were changing our minds last minute during the reception.
Diane and her team made recommendations on vendors and even got involved when we had an issue with the baker provided through the venue.
I can't speak highly enough about our experience. The atmosphere, look of the venue, food and staff was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the Lindley-Scott House for any bride looking to have a memorable wedding, it can be classed up or kept casual.

Melanie Sent on 05/07/2018The Lindley Scott House is an absolutely hidden gem. My guests could not believe it was located in Azusa. The venue is beautiful and elegant. Diane and George were amazing to work with and the day of assistants/coordinators were a dream. I didn’t want or need for anything.
One thing I was worried about was the food since you are unable to taste it beforehand; I didn’t need to be. Everything was delicious and I received many compliments that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Is it innovative or trendy? No it’s not. But it’s classic and delicious and they served good portions.
Please do not hesitate to book this special venue. I would re book again in a heartbeat. Attentive, accommodating staff, beautiful photogenic venue, and delicious food. You can’t go wrong. -

They are very flexible and are willing to work with you. The FOOD is amazing! all our guest keep talking about it. The property is well kept and looks amazing for pictures, truly a great wedding venue from start to finish. :) The only down side is they close at 11pm however, by 10pm I was already wore out from such a long day that having the reception end at 11pm didn't even bother me. So don't let that be a reason to not choose this venue. :) -

The building looks like its from the 1920's (which i love) and the wait staff is dressed to match the period. After the ceremony Hors d'oeuvres were passed and yes they were delicious. As for dinner I can still taste the cream sauce that was on the chicken breast. My family had a great time and I only wish I knew about this venue when I was getting married 3 years ago. -

We fell in love with this venue right from the start. It’s a little oasis tucked in the middle of a city. The hedges make it perfect for privacy for your event/wedding and make it a world of its own especially since you can’t really hear the sounds from the street or traffic. This property has a great landscaping team and maintain everything very well. Diane (owner), Scotty (day of coordinator), and the staff day of were amazing and always helpful! As a bride, they handled most venue logistics that most brides might not want to deal with and make it very easy for you. Diane really helps with making sure planning goes as smooth as possible and Scotty makes sure you always have anything you need during your big day and keeping everything timely without rushing you. I rated everything 5 stars, however I only rated their flexibility with 4 stars since upon planning, there are a very few minor things that are not allowed. For example, no alcohol served by other than a bartender, no alcohol outside like a champagne seating chart wall, and the wedding party cannot get ready on sight leading up to the wedding, the bride can only get dressed on the property. However, there were many things they were very flexible about, some being extra tables (can be different sizes) for a dessert/sweets table or other things and the getaway car being visible on the property for photos like we had in front of the house. The bright side is that if your goal is a timeless look then this venue will definitely deliver that without having to add in a bunch of trendy new wedding decor items that just break the bank anyways. The ceremony area is what sealed the deal. The gorgeous over hanging trees made it a perfect garden-esque wedding. The bridal suite may be outdated for some, but I love all things vintage and pink, and that room delivers exactly that. Their bar is also great, they also offer different packages with that, and well stocked. The biggest take away from our wedding is it was unfortunately overcast and rainy in early May 2025, however the property and photos still looked gorgeous and the trees help the guests get out of the sprinkling raindrops. They do have an indoor plan for extreme weather conditions which is great if that needs to happen, just in case. And with the reception held inside, everyone stays in and we did not have to worry about the weather at that point when it started to rain harder. Also, with our photobooth outside, we arranged it right under the entrance which has a roof awning, so no problems there either on how to arrange outdoor activities. Overall, we had an amazing wedding with the Lindley-Scott House venue and highly recommend them and we got so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of the venue! -

Ok look, I might be biased in the title because it was my wedding, HOWEVER, I do events for a living and with that, I had high expectations for the event of my wedding. What I loved about this venue is Diane is amazing, she’s hilarious and a straight shooter when it comes to the wedding details. This venue provides ceremony (chairs for the ceremony), spaces for photography, a bridal sweet to do you finishing touches (put your dress on and take some photos), and a great preferred vendors list. All of this came with a day of coordinator and a rehearsal day prior to the wedding. Scottie is the coordinator, son of Diane, and he’s just as fantastic as she is. They really are a dynamic duo. Now, for the reception. They have a carriage house that is air conditioned, has restrooms, a full bar, full kitchen, provides all of the tables and chairs you need, a dance floor, your wedding cake, and white linen. As an events person, this means you only really need 2-3 vendors outside of the Lindley-Scott house. I chose DJ Doug from their preferred vendors, made it so easy that he was familiar with their schedule of doing things and to set up his equipment. He also was every bit of organized and on top of things as the venue. I also brought in a photographer. The only other vendors you may need is a florist and a decorator if you needed that. I’ll tell you one thing, I was not stressed on my wedding day because they took care of everything. Also, the ceremony location is absolutely beautiful and all you really need to do is decorate arch because they have they huge beautiful trees on the lawn. The reception area is beautiful as well and right outside of it is more lawn and area if you decide to have kids at your event and they just need to run around. The two consistent comments I kept on hearing from our guests was “where did you find this place, it’s so beautiful” and “omg the food was amazing”. And I completely agree! We had the choice of Tri-tip, chicken, or vegetarian. I had tri-tip and it was delicious. I love that you have such a variety to choose from with dinner as well, and if you want to give your guests options, you pay the highest price for the most expensive item per head but you can provide options to your guests. You also have the choice of what kind of bar you want, like if you want everyone to pay for their own drinks, if you want to pay for a cocktail hour of drinks, or a certain amount of money worth of drinks, or what we chose was open bar well drinks which was $25 a head and if you want to upgrade to open bar premium it was $32 or something per head. I’ve attached some photos I received from guests at the wedding. 10/10 would recommend this place, so pretty, so easy to work with them, price points are so good in comparison to other venues, and so much is provided in the price point as well. My husband Kenneth and I knew we wanted to have our wedding in Southern California despite the fact that we live in Oregon. Thankfully, the team at Lindley Scott House made the entire planning process so easy to navigate even from a different state. They answered all of my questions promptly leading up to my wedding day. On the day of, we were amazed with how smoothly everything went. Our guests raved about the beautiful property and they were happy with the dinner options. I was looking for a place that was just us and our guests. This is the perfect place. We were able to have the entire venue to ourselves. It’s such a beautiful place and great for pictures. All our guests loved it! I want to thank Diane and Scotty for working with me so I can have my dream wedding. The venue also provided an in house coordinator for us who worked very well with my wedding coordinators. For the most part, everything went according to plan. There was a few minor hiccups but no one knew besides us. I would definitely recommend hiring the valet. Definitely didn’t have to worry about the parking situation. I also went with the DJ and photographer recommended by the venue. They are both amazing. Our wedding package with the venue even came with a free cake. That was a pleasant surprise because it means it was one less thing the bride had to worry about. They didn’t have tastings and that scared me at first. But I had a few friends that attended weddings there in the past and they loved the food. So I took a leap of faith. It turned out great. The food was perfect and all the staff was so nice. We did shopped around a few other venues before deciding and compared with quality and price, nothing beats Lindley Scott House. Good price
Beautiful venue good deal the wedding coordinator for the day was so nice and helpful and attentive I got dry biodegradable flowers for the ceremony I was unable to use that was a little upsetting to me considering it said we weren’t allowed to use silk flowers or confetti it never said anything about dry biodegradable flowers and I couldn’t use the double sided tape for my isle runner so I had to use rocks to hold it down it didn’t look nice you just need to ask ahead of time of certain things are ok to use because you don’t want to be getting calls from your coordinator while you’re trying to get ready for your special day. other than that George and Diane were really nice. -

Great Venue
Amazing Venue! Plenty is included in the cost! The only down side is that you don’t get to try the food for this venue but don’t worry food was amazing, we got the Pear Salad with Potatoes Au Gratin, asparagus, Salmon, and Tri-Tip. Salmon was cooked to perfection, potatoes were to die for, Tri-tip was a little over done as we asked for medium ( should of asked for medium rare) but flavor was delicious along with the sauce. Diane, George, Scott, Kaitlyn, and bartender Tar were all amazing and very helpful. They all definitely made it a stress free wedding on us. They do include wedding coordinators for the day to make sure things go smoothly and attend to the bride and groom but they do not help you with the little extras that you might need help with for set up the day of. Set up is only allowed 3 hours prior to the wedding, since we were close to max capacity of 200 guest, 3 hours cuts it a little close (make sure you hire a couple of people to help). The Venue property is beautiful and inside the Carriage house was clean and elegant, dance floor was a little small for us since both our friends and family love to dance so it was a full dance floor but we made it work. Our guest had a memorable time. Parking is little tricky just make sure to notify your guest or hire Valet. First meeting with Diane was very upfront about everything and what’s included. The pamphlet she gives you has all the pricing and rules, make sure you ask questions if your unsure about anything. This place has competitive pricing for what’s included- cake, champagne toast, food, venue etc... You will see when you set up your first meeting with Diane. This place has awards for the past 10 years, for that reason book quick, as they do get booked up pretty fast for the area. Hope this review was helpful to any new couples looking to book this venue. Andrea Sent on 11/18/2008Overall, I highly recommend the Lindley Scott house for your reception venue (we did not have our ceremony there but I hear good things). The food was wonderful! They don't normally do tastings so we didn't try the food until that day and it was great. Our guests definitely talked about how good it was. The cake they provide through a local bakery is wonderful too and looked very pretty. The grounds are beautiful and it is great that you have the whole place to yourself instead of sharing it with other brides. I thought the day of coordinator was going to be more involved in keeping the reception events themselves on time, but he had more to do with just making sure the food, drink and cake service was prompt...which was fine. They don't allow any candles but it was beautiful without...they dim the lights and have white lights on the trees outside. Overall, I loved the place and fell more in love with it the day of! -

Diane canceled our reception and kept our money. She said she would refund me once they were "back up and running" (I have email from her stating this) I've received no communication from her and she has never refunded my money as she promised. She's a theif and a liar, do not trust her. If she makes things right and lives up to her word ill remove this review. For now, I warn you to STAY AWAY! -
