On the day we went here, it was our first of 2 cake tastings that day. I fully expected the 2nd tasting to be the one for us, as I assumed Konditor Meister would be a factory - churning out the cakes and charging way too much. I had read mixed reviews, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect!
When we first arrived, it was a bit of mass chaos in the main room. It was a Saturday, so there were tons of people placing/picking up orders. Luckily, someone behind the counter almost immediately asked us if we needed help and we said we had an appointment. We waited about 2 minutes and were brought into the back room, past 2 tables of cakes and about 10 other tables of tasters. We were seated at a table in the back, which was nice - we weren't on top of anyone else so we could chat without being overheard, but were close enough to eye their cakes!
A guy next to us warned us to be prepared for tons of cake and even showed us 2 to-go boxes they had given him. Once the girl helping us came over, she gave us the chat about how they worked, their pricing and flavors and then gave us a book to peruse while she got us cake.
In about 4 different trips, she brought us 9 different flavors of cake! We did have a sheet for me to mark, but I kept forgetting what cake was what flavor. Little labels or a tray or something would have been helpful. They have really unique flavors - Mimosa, Mango, Baileys - and basic flavors - Strawberry, Carrot Cake, etc.
After tasting all 9 cakes, we were allowed to ask for any other mousse to taste and were given an Oreo pastry and big dollop of Baileys mousse. She also offered us coffee or water (something we had to ask for at our previous tasting) almost as soon as we sat down and we got more every time we asked.
They are very accommodating, although somewhat wasteful. Each cup of water was in 2 plastic cups (why the 2nd cup!?), so that instead of 6 cups, we went through 12. Also, once we were finished, there were 9 somewhat-eaten pieces of cake sitting on the table. We asked if, instead of throwing them away, could she just package them for us (as the guy next to us had shown us). When we got home, I saw that there were 4 brand-new pieces of cake plus 6 gorgeous chocolate-covered strawberries. I shouldn't complain that we got 4 new pieces of cake, but the whole point was to not be wasteful!
Oh well. The cake was excellent. It tasted like what we expected wedding cake to taste like and the price is way more reasonable than I expected! (Only $3 per person, and then you add more for any extras you choose.)
We decided to go with them for our cake and I was not disappointed! The flavors we went with (Mimosa & Baileys) were so unique and the cake was delivered on-time (I didn't even know they had gotten there!) and looked and tasted exactly like how we wanted it. They may be a factory, but that means they do the job right - and they are still willing to make changes (we called a week before since our numbers were dropped very much from what we had ordered).

Konditor Meister makes cakes that look amazing and taste delicious, however, I won't use their services again. They made my cake a week early because someone read the wedding date incorrectly on the order form. Once I called and told them what they had done, they apologized and promised to have it ready in time the following week. When I went to pick it up on my wedding day a week later, it was iced in the wrong frosting. Once again, someone had read the order form incorrectly. It took over an hour to correct the mistake. When we told the manager what happened, she immediately took $55 off our bill. That was nice of her, however, I still hadn't received the credit in my account 2 weeks later. I called to let her know and she fixed it immediately by crediting me the $55. After my wedding, a family member ordered a cake from here for a christening, and the cake was once again made incorrectly. I think the problem here is that they use handwritten orders instead of typed orders that are easier to read. Whatever the problem really is, I wouldn't recommend ordering a cake from here. You don't need your cake made incorrectly on your wedding day!!!

We loved our cake from Konditor Meister. I came in with a few pics and said that I wanted a cake that combined certain aspects of each individual cake. It turned out beautifully! We had a 4 tier sq cake. I brought in a brooch and they put it on the cake no problem. We also did 4 different flavors to give our guests variey and they helped us pick for fall like flavors: carrot cake, tiramisu, pumpkin cake with maple filling and of course chocolate! It was alot larger than I expected too which made it all the more amazing. Everyone said it tasted great!

As always Konditor Meister created truly delicious and beautiful cakes. We go there for every family event and they never disappoint. If you're looking for a standard sweet cake this place is not for you. Their cakes are delicate and savory despite their indulgent ingredients.

We have used Konditor Meister for all of the special events in our family. We honestly thought that they would be the most expensive for a wedding cake, however, they were very reasonable. The tasting was great fun and our assistant very helpful. The wedding cake was beautiful and we recieved many compliments on the cake.

My cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined, the designer, nicole was so good, she made the cake based on a tiny photo i had clipped from a magazine, and she really brought it to life. The 5 layers each had a different flavor, and each layer was more yummy than the next. these people really know what they are doing. wow!

BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS!! My guests were floored with the wedding cake....they did exactly what we wanted and the cost was very reasonable. We selected different cakes and fillers and the butter cream frosting was just heaven!! Glad I live close to them and I would suggest if you have your wedding and want great reviews on the cake and care about how it tastes!! then you need to try Konditor Meister!

The wedding cake looked really lovely, with the frosting the exact colors we had asked for. My only complaint was that the black ribbon at the base of each layer didn't really look black, it was kind of a lighter shade which was a bit disappointing and showed in pictures. Otherwise, everything was superb!

The cake was decliciuos and so beautiful! We found KM extremely convenient, tasty, and well-priced. We also ordered cookies for our dessert station and those got the most attention of all. The cookies were also one of our favorite things to eat on that day. Excellent service, quality and price!

We did not have a choice of cake vendor - Konditor Meister came with our package at Willowdale Estate. However, we were not disappointed!
Our cake tasting was not what we expected. When you arrive, they direct you to a back room with a bunch of tables, and 10 other couples there for their own cake tasting. We would've preferred a more personal experience. Anyway, they overwhelm you with a table full (literally) of cake. It's all very delicious, but I wish they had talked to us first and asked our likes/dislikes and brought us cakes based on that. It also seems like a huge waste, since we didn't finish nearly all of the cake they brought us.
For the design, we gave them a copy of our wedding invites - it had a Russian design that we wanted them to re-create. They quoted us $375 (Willowdale paid for a basic cake price) for the design. We asked if we could lower the price by having the design on only 1 layer, but they said it would cost the same (this seems odd to me), so we had the design added to all 3 layers.
We had no idea what the end product would look like - they didn't give us any mock-up or preview. But based on their previous work, we trusted them completely.
So how did the cake turn out? THE BEST CAKE EVER!!! It was absolutely gorgeous - so much better than I even expected. The venue wants to use pictures of it for their brochures.
And it tasted great - we choose tiramisu for the bottom layer, golden cake with cognac truffle filling for the middle, and a marble cake for the top. Guests couldn't stop raving about it!

Everyone knows Konditor Meister has amazing cake! Everyone loved the strawberry grand marnier cake. One thing I did not expect was that there was a cake topper on our cake.. I was a little surprised to see that they would put a topper that we absolutely did not ask for.. I had specifically told them that I just want some buttercream flowers on the top. Maybe it was because we got a consultant who was new to Konditor Meister (we were her 2nd customer..) I wished they had consulted me before they assumed we'd want a cake topper.

The cake tastes great, you can use different flavors for each tier. I gave them mine design and it was pretty close and turned out beautiful. The staff at first was very nice and accommodating, at the end when I was paying the balance, they could not have been more rude and unpleasant. They have a million cakes going through and they dont care about yours, no personal feeling at all. They didnt show the size of the cake for 150 people and when I went to pay and they had 2 different sizes for 4 tier cake, of course the one we ordered was the smaller one and didnt look good. Instead of talking me through how we can get to a better suiting cake, they wanted me out the door as soon as possible.

Our cake from Konditor Meister was beautiful and tasted delicious. Their prices were a great value. We had custom scroll with a gorgeous topper of roses & cala lillies and it turned out perfect. I would highly recommend Konditer Meister.
