Chicago Winter Wedding

Katherine was the absolute best! She made us feel very comfortable from the start with our engagement session and knew exactly the perfect spots to go to for our Lincoln Park photos. For our wedding, our vision was cozy, intimate, magical winter wedding during the holiday season in downtown Chicago and she really brought that vision to life! We are obsessed with our photos so far and even got back our preview photos the very next day after our wedding! Katherine and her husband (second shooter) were a great team to have for us on our big day and made us feel relaxed and reminded us to have fun! They are the best and highly recommend them to anyone :)

We are beyond thrilled with our experience with Katherine Salvatori Photography! The photos Katherine and Jason captured were absolutely timeless and beautiful, preserving so many unforgettable moments from our wedding day. Each photo was more stunning than the last, and it is incredibly difficult to choose which ones to print because they are all so perfect.

From the intimate, candid moments to the grand, celebratory shots, they truly captured the essence of our day. Their attention to detail and ability to make us feel at ease throughout the day was remarkable. Katherine and Jason Salvatori are the dream team!

Katherine and Jason Salvatori were the photographers at our wedding this year. They came strongly recommended by our venue, and their work was outstanding. My wife and I have beautiful photos from our special day that we'll share for the rest of our lives.

If it's within your budget, I definitely recommend having both Katherine and Jason as photographers. Katherine was able to follow my wife and her bridesmaids, while Jason stayed with me and my groomsmen. They went beyond my initial expectations for a photographer team. They even came prepared with breath mints, handkerchiefs, and other last minute essentials for the entire bridal party. While Katherine was doing group photo shoots after our ceremony, Jason made a special trip to bring me and my wife champagne and appetizers, so we wouldn't fully miss out on the cocktail hour.

Truly an outstanding team! If you are looking for engagement photos or wedding photos- they are the best!!

Beautiful Work!

Katherine and her team did an amazing job for my engagement and wedding photos! Katherine was so personable and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and made everything feel seamless. On our wedding day, Katherine, Mindy, and Lila worked so well with our families and large wedding party, and made the process fun and relaxed while still sticking to our timeline. Our photos are absolutely beautiful, and we've received so many compliments from friends and family on how they turned out. I can't recommend Katherine and her team enough!

Katherine and Jason are DREAM !

Oh my goodness, where do I start..? Katherine and Jason were absolutely AMAZING. They made my husband and I feel at ease. The directed us for how to pose, but also let us be natural. They did a perfect job capturing our personality and love for each other throughout the day. Jason had an emergency kit in his bag with tissues, pins, pocket squares, water, and everything else you can think of. I cried happy tears when I saw our teasers and our pictures because they were so amazing.

Katherine is the best! Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning and I could not be happier. She was so nice and easy to work with for our engagement shoot and on the day of the wedding. She and her husband Jason also work really well together - They captured everything beautifully. Jason was a godsend - he didn’t just take photos, he brought us drinks and appetizers to the bridal suite after the ceremony, fixed my husband’s tie, and repeatedly reminded us to breathe and enjoy our day. He even ran to get safety pins and fixed my rippled bustle as they were about to leave. We couldn’t have asked for a better team - we are so happy we chose them for our wedding day!

The Very Best Wedding Photographers

I cannot recommend Katherine Salvatori and her husband, Jason, enough. They are truly unbelievable. If you are having a wedding at Morton Arboretum, you must have them as your photographers. They know the 1,700 acres of Morton Arboretum like the back of their hands and they were able to choose the perfect locations to capture photos of our wedding. Jason took the time throughout our photos to remind my husband and I that it was our day and to keep calm and make sure we were having a truly special day. He also was an expert at making our very young flower girls and ring bearer calm and to help make sure they had fun throughout the photos. Katherine and Jason's photos are truly unbelievable. They fully captured the magic and beauty of our wedding. They also sent us our sneak peak at 2am the night of our wedding so that we woke up to the most beautiful photos the morning after our wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Beyond amazing!

Katherine, Jason, and Shanon were our dream wedding photography team! When we originally started the process of wedding planning, choosing a photographer was one of our most difficult decisions. We looked at so many different photographers, had several zoom meetings, until we met with Katherine. She was so lovely to talk to on the phone and what really stuck out to us during her initial call was how much she emphasized that the most important thing for her team was for us to be stress free, have fun, and not worry about any drama on our wedding day! And that is exactly what happened :) We first met Katherine in person during our engagement shoot, almost one year before our wedding. She was so fun and easy to work with! Of course at the time my husband was dreading the thought of taking engagement photos, but Katherine truly made it such a fun and easy- going experience. She truly read our personalities and knew what we did and didn't like- and didn't force us to pose in any type of way or take any pics she knew we wouldn't love. She just wanted us to have fun and be comfortable. Fast forward to closer to a few months before the wedding, Katherine reached out to us and started planning an itinerary with us. She made everything so easy and effortless for us! A week before the wedding, her team sent us the cutest gift in the mail, which made us even more excited for our wedding festivities! When our wedding day arrived, Katherine and her team arrived early and ready for a fun and stress-free day! They did everything in their power to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we were having fun! Jason (Katherine's partner & husband) & Katherine had such a great working dynamic that made the day so fun! One thing I truly will never forget as the bride... is when Jason took me aside and gave me a little "pep" talk. While I thought he was going to tell me what to do/ not to do while taking the pics... he literally pulled me aside to tell me to "breathe" and just have fun!! From that moment on, I felt so relaxed and knew that I was working with the best team that truly just cared that my husband and I had the best & stress free day! Another thing that made the day so stress-free was the fact that Katherine, Jason, & Shannon already knew all the places to take our groups pictures at our venue & at the hotel that we got ready in. We did not have to make any type of list for them, they just knew all of the best spots!! They even picked our first look spot, which made it so easy for us and allowed us to have one less thing to think about/ plan or worry about!!
One of the most amazing parts of working with Katherine and her team, is the speed at which we received our photos. On our wedding night, when we finally got back to our hotel... we already had an email from Katherine with a sneak peak!!! THE SAME NIGHT!! We were in disbelief and more so in awe of how AMAZING the photos were. We were obsessed immediately and loved that we were able to share these with family that was from our of town, THE VERY NEXT MORNING!! Not only that, before we received our entire album about a month later, in between that time period, Katherine had sent us a blog post AND some of their favorites. We can not believe how fast we received our entire album and we can not say ENOUGH about how amazing the photos themselves are. We ABSOLUTELY loved working with Katherine and her team and would recommend them to everyone!!

I can't recommend Katherine Salvatori Photography enough! From our initial inquiry to the full wedding gallery delivery, Katherine and Jason went above and beyond to make our entire experience exceptional. Katherine is always very prompt, personal, and thorough in her responses. When I first stumbled upon Katherine and her portfolio, I thought she only photographed models as clients because everyone in her photos looked so stunning, clean, and beautiful!! She is so incredibly talented at capturing moments, both big and small, and turning them into art. We loved the balance of portrait and candid photos that we received as part of our wedding gallery. We also appreciated that Katherine and her team are incredibly skilled at shooting in both indoor and outdoor lighting. Katherine and Jason caught all the big moments, special people, and unspoken emotions throughout our wedding day. They overdelivered on what was promised, both with regard to quantity and speed, all while maintaining the highest quality. Absolutely Amazing

Words cannot describe how blessed we were to have Katherine, Jason and Zoe be a part of our special day. Katherine is truly the best wedding photographer out there. Weeks later and we are still looking at our wedding photos in awe. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos from family and friends. Jason was incredibly helpful the day of the wedding. Amazing! Dream Team!

Katherine and her husband Jason are a dream team! From the moment my (now) husband and I met Katherine, we loved her fun loving personality. Katherine was always so quick to respond and answer all of our questions, and her photography/business experience was so evident and appreciated.

During both our engagement shoot and wedding day, Katherine really went out of her way to get the right photos! Post engagement session, and wedding, we had a sneak peek that evening followed by a blog post and full wedding gallery within 2 weeks! When Covid hit, Katherine was so understanding, helpful and responsive as we had to cancel and continuously change our wedding dates. My husband and I decided to move forward with a "micro wedding" at a completely new location and date, in which we planned in just a few weeks, and Katherine was so accommodating! On the day of the wedding, Katherine and Jason blew us away! They were so fun, organized, down to earth and incredibly helpful! As a team they did everything from fixing my dress throughout the entire day, making us laugh and relax, hustling to ensure they photographed the right shots, made sure we had food and drinks and even handled any questions we had with the venue. Katherine and Jason were like our built in “day of wedding coordinators” that we didn’t know we needed. Us, our families and our friends had nothing but incredible things to say about them! Not to mention, our photos are just stunning and we will cherish them forever! We still look at them daily!

Katherine and Jason are the absolute best - experienced, professional, kind and SO much fun! Do not hesitate to book! We hope to use them again one day when we can have our big wedding celebration!

Amazing photos and Amazing experience

My fiancé and I found Katherine just by chance on a google search and we feel in love with her pictures. Once we met her in person we knew we had to book her. The engagement pictures we did with her at Morton Arboretum exceeded my expectations. Our wedding was originally booked for April 2020, but because of COVID we had to postpone. Katherine and Jason were flexible and so wonderful working with us while we picked a new date. And once our new wedding date came, Katherine and Jason were there for every moment and captured every detail of the day. I would pick them 1,000 times again for our special day!!

Katherine Salvatori Photography is Fantastic! Highly Recommend!

Katherine's photos are the very best at capturing special, emotional moments that are not staged! Anyone can line you up and say "smile" but Katherine's firm is fantastic at getting special moments and taking pictures in creative unexpected ways. The wedding album I got for my son is 10 times better than anything I have seen from much more expensive photographers. I would recommend Katherine to anybody. And the service and putting the book together was also impeccable!

Best decision we made for the wedding day, aside from each other!

10/3/2020 was our wedding. We were referred to Katherine and her husband Jason through the Morton Arboretum when booking our ceremony. Loved their portfolio and loved meeting with her even more! She was so easy and great to work with leading up to the big day and I knew the photos were nothing we would have to worry about! After seeing their work, I knew it would be amazing, but come the actual wedding day, Katherine and Jason FAR exceeded any expectations I had! They were so fun, helpful, caring, creative, and WOW the photos I got to see the morning after when I finally checked my phone were so perfect. I could not stop looking at them and cannot wait to see the rest! We received so many compliments on our photographers, and the whole bridal party felt so at ease taking pictures! It was such a fun experience and I couldn't recommend them enough! They were truly the best decision we made for our wedding day, aside from each other!

Talented and amazing!

Hiring Katherine was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She and her husband Jason, who is the second shooter, are an amazing team. From our engagement session, where we were able to get comfortable in front of the camera to the wedding day itself, her calm, professional, and organized demeanor was wonderful. She was highly responsive and helpful in defining our vision and capture our personalities and she and Jason were just fun people to spend time with as well! From Jason spraying me with mosquito spray when I was panicking and tying my groom's tie, to Katherine finding just the right spot near the water to capture the light, they went about and beyond to make everything smooth sailing. And the pictures are absolutely lovely - she truly knows how to capture not only the bride and groom and loved ones, but beautiful natural scenery (we were married at The Morton Arboretum). Couldn't imagine our wedding without them!

Where to begin!? It is difficult to find the right words to express our gratitude for Katherine and Jason. Not only are they absolutely AMAZING photographers, but working with them is like working with old friends. They are sweet and funny together and have a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease in front of a camera on one of the most important days of your life. Jason got us appetizers when we missed cocktail hour, helped my bridesmaids bustle my dress when they had no clue what they were doing, and carried snacks around in case anyone got hungry but hadn't found the time to eat. We joked that Jason was a better bridesmaid than my Maid of Honor! The week before our wedding, when things are starting to feel just a bit stressful, we received a little package in the mail from Katherine with some candy, our engagement photos, and an encouraging reminder that the best day of our lives was coming up soon and they were excited to work with us! That meant so much to us and really got us excited for our big day. In addition to all the wonderful ways they made our day special, the photography is simply BREATHTAKING. We received our pictures in 2 weeks, which is crazy fast, and they are so beautiful. Katherine and Jason knew all of the great places to take photos at our venue and it was fun to watch them work their creative magic. I could go on for days about what a great experience we had, but this about sums it up. We are so thankful we found them!

Great experience!

Katie and Jason are amazing!
They were extremely organized and so much fun to be around the entire day. Prior to the wedding Katie was so helpful in talking through the timeline, who and what we needed photos of, and any of my other concerns. My husband and I were the center of attention for them, and they constantly checked in on us, giving us water and bringing us snacks, and made sure that we were happy with how the day was progressing and if we felt like there was anything missing.

They were so easy going when it came to interacting with the bridal party and families, but still made sure that everyone was where they needed to be in order to get the right shots. They clearly explained what to expect for things like our first look and the ceremony, and Jason definitely gave my Matron of Honor a run for her money in making sure that my dress was being held as I walked and maneuvering me around our venue. While the reception was happening, they even made it a point to steal us away for a few minutes for some final photos, which ended up being my absolute favorite out of all of our photos, and it was great to have a quiet moment alone with my husband in the midst of the chaos.

We received a sneak peak of our photos within a matter of days and received our entire gallery while STILL on our honeymoon! The quality of everything was amazing and we loved our photos so much. Katie and Jason are definitely worth the investment, and not only did they do their job that day, but are just so genuine and fun that they will make your wedding day even better than you had ever thought!

The very best wedding vendor you will book!

Katherine and Jason were by far the best people my husband and I worked with for our wedding. It was evident by her portfolio and after our engagement session that Katherine is an incredible photographer, but she and Jason were absolutely invaluable on our wedding day!

The thing about getting married is that (usually) you’ve never done it before and have no idea what the heck you’re doing until the day comes. That’s where Katherine and Jason really shine- their professionalism, ability to roll with wedding day chaos, and helpfulness is outstanding.

Before the wedding, Katherine graciously reviewed my day-of schedule and suggested adjustments to ensure we got all the shots I wanted. She and Jason arrived early the day-of and got straight to work, dividing and conquering between detail shots, getting ready, and pre-ceremony portraits. My husband and I chose not to do a first look, and Katherine and Jason made sure he didn’t see me until I got to the aisle! When we ran behind schedule at the reception, they assured us that they “weren’t going anywhere” until we were ready to start the dances and get an end-of-night shot.

We received all our photos on the last day of our honeymoon and were thrilled with the results! They captured each special moment beautifully and looking at the gallery takes us right back to that amazing yet whirlwind day!

If Katherine and Jason are booked on your wedding date, change the date!!! They are so helpful and kind and I know we could not have gotten through some of our day-of hiccups without their guidance! I can not recommend them enough or thank them enough for the gift of these photos that we will treasure forever!

An amazing team! Could not recommend enough!

Katherine and her husband Jason were fantastic!! Where to even begin? My husband and I loved Katherine's engagement shoot from August 2018. She made us immediately feel so comfortable and we had a blast. We had a ton of great images to choose from! She adds a lot of personal touches.

For our August 2019 wedding, she and Jason were such a dream team. They work so well together and were able to smoothly navigate our large extended family and bridal party! We got our full gallery less than 2 weeks after our wedding and we love all the photos. We felt like we were reliving the special day when we looked at them, and now we can again and again. Katherine and Jason are great with kids and made our 4 year old flower girl feel at ease. I have been referring to Jason as "Mr. Wedding" because he has picked up a lot of tips and helpful knowledge-- including fixing my bridesmaid's broken shoe, how to link arms when walking in the processional, etc.

Besides all this, they are extremely professional, courteous, and just fabulous at what they do! Very highly recommend!

Highlight of our wedding day!

Katherine and her husband Jason we the highlight of our wedding day! I truly mean that. When people asked us how was your wedding, what was the best part? It was these two. They were thoughtful, patient, and beyond kind. It was a hot day and Jason was running around to make sure we had water, the groomsman were given handkerchiefs to wipe their sweat. Jason even ran back and forth to give Ryan and I every new appetizer that came out during cocktail hour while we took our bride and groom pictures since we didn't have a first look. These two made our day. They calmed us, made us laugh, and we couldn't be more grateful to them. Now I've said all this and haven't even mentioned the photos. Those too were unbelievable!Their variety of shots, attention to detail, and ability to capture those natural, beautiful, funny, heartwarming pictures was effortless. If you pass these two up, you will regret it. Thank you Katherine and Jason, you are what we will talk about at every anniversary because you made our day so special!

Best photographer in the Chicagoland area!!!

Katherine and her husband Jason were amazing! They listened to our requests and the photos are absolutely beautiful! Despite a little rain on our wedding day Katherine was able to photograph the background of the Morton Arboretum while we stood under the pavilion. She was also able to give us a “sneak peek” the night of and we received all of our photos within two weeks or so. We are so thankful she was recommended to us!

The best!

Katherine and Jason were beyond wonderful throughout the entire process!! From the moment we first met with Katherine we felt totally at ease. They wanted to get to know us, our style and our vision for our big day! It was so important to have a photographer that we knew we could depend on considering they were capturing the biggest day of our lives. They made you feel like you were the only wedding on their minds even though we all know they are very busy people! On our actual wedding day, Katherine and Jason had everything under control...and I mean EVERYTHING!! Prior to our wedding day, I knew I never had to worry about then but when the actual day came, they blew me out of the water. I know Katherine always laughs that everyone loves Jason and I can see why. He was my right hand man that day and it was so appreciated!! No matter what I needed (literally), he had it covered. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Meanwhile, Katherine captured away! They really work amazingly together as a team too!! Another thing I loved was how special they made the moments for us. Even though we had 2 photographers and a videographer for all our more "intimate moments," it felt as though it was just the two of us there so they were able to capture genuine moments from our big day that I will treasure forever. I could go on and on about Katherine and Jason but to sum it up, they were one of the best choices we made for our wedding day and now we forever have beautiful photos to cherish because of them!! Katherine and Jason were absolutely phenomenal! We were so impressed with their skill and professionalism from the moment we met Katherine, a year before our wedding, to when we got our gorgeous wedding photos (much more quickly than anticipated). Along with being masterful photographers, on the day of our wedding they put so much into making us and our bridal party feel at ease and helping the wedding run smoothly. Katherine & Jason were a dream come true! Everything that they touch, turns to gold! Upon first meeting Katherine, I knew immediately that she was the type of person I would want with me on my wedding day. She is professional and takes amazing photos, but it's really her warm character that is the icing on the cake. When the big day came, Katherine ran everything with flawless grace. Katie and Jason are simply THE BEST!!!! The entire process throughout our 1.5 year engagement went SO smoothly. From the initial meeting, to the engagement shoot, to the day of the wedding, Katie and Jason made sure our needs were met and went ABOVE and BEYOND for us! After the initial meeting, Katie put together a schedule as to how our wedding day was going to go (seriously she could even be a wedding planner!!) and made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. My husband and I were not going to do a first look, AND we were getting ready at different locations the day of the wedding. Jason went with the guys, Katie met us girls separately, and made sure we didn't see each other when we were taking our bridal party pictures at the same venue. After the ceremony during our portraits, Jason made sure we had water, a beer :), and appetizers to munch on in-between pictures. They are so accommodating, so helpful, and are honestly just AMAZING, THOUGHTFUL PEOPLE! I cannot say enough good things about them. Not to mention their pictures look like they are out of a bridal magazine, they are absolutely gorgeous!! Our day was captured PERFECTLY - even the little moments that others would have missed, Katie and Jason got on camera. From the first time we met with Katherine back in November of 2016, we knew we’d found our wedding photographer. I was already convinced after seeing her incredible photos on social media and on her website, but meeting her in person and experiencing her organization, personalization, and thoughtfulness sealed the deal. We absolutely loved working with her for both our engagement photos and on our wedding day. Throughout our 1.5 year engagement, Katherine’s communication thorough and timely—she helped keep me on track and ensured she had all of the necessary details beforehand. When it came to the day of the wedding, I felt so relaxed knowing we had Katherine and Jason capturing every special moment. They are so much more than photographers—they were instrumental in making our day run smoothly. Our wedding day was 90+ degrees and humid, and Jason was there with cold water and a clean handkerchief. He held my bouquet, helped me up and down stairs, guided me in and out of our trolley—he was magical. Our entire bridal party was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently they captured (amazing) group photos of us. When my sister began bustling my dress, Jason came out with a crochet needle! They seriously think of everything. Having both of their perspectives in our photos is priceless. We received our full gallery of photos just ten days after our wedding, and Katherine had shared a full blog post with tons of her favorites just six days afterward. She’s a miracle worker. We, along with our family and friends, could not be more impressed with the true happiness, love, laughter, and tears all caught in the breathtaking photos. While the flowers are gone, the cake has been eaten, and the dress is preserved in a box, we will have these photos to help us relive our day forever. The experience we had with Katherine and Jason was better than we could have ever imagined. First a little hesistant about the cost, after speaking with Katherine I knew that I just HAD to have her! Let me tell you, you get what you pay for and it was worth every cent! It was basically like having 2 extra wedding day coordinators... I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Aside from making sure our day was perfect, the prints we have now and forever are AMAZING! And, we got them on our honeymoon less than 2 weeks after the wedding day! Some of my friends waited almost 6 months for photos! Katherine knew exactly what I was looking for (more candid, less staged) and Jason was always there to hold my bouquet and fix my hair in between taking his own shots! :) Mick and I cannot thank you and Jason enough...you truly made our day that much more special. Before the wedding, Katherine really takes the time to get to know the couple. In the first meeting, she completed an extensive detailed survey and really got to know specific details of our relationship. For the engagement session, she provided numerous suburban and city locations to select from and she was very flexible and accommodating with scheduling. During the engagement session, she made the process so fun and relaxed. Taking pictures together was effortless because she knew exactly how to frame the shot and position us. During the months leading up to the wedding day, she was very receptive to any email or questions we had for her and was very prompt in responding. We had a final meeting with Katherine a couple weeks prior to the wedding. We discussed in detail the special pictures we wanted and outlined the day’s timeline, so we knew exactly what to expect the day of the wedding. On the wedding day, Katherine and Jason (her husband) were a phenomenal team. They both were relaxed, fun, and very professional. Not only did they care about the pictures, but they really cared about us (making sure we had breaks, giving us water, and making us laugh). Even with a tight timeline, they were great at keeping the day on schedule, and they made us, our wedding party, family, and guest feel very comfortable with taking pictures. She then delivered the finalized photographs to us only a couple of weeks after the wedding and they were stunning. The pictures truly captured the beauty of our day and we could not be happier with our decision to choose Katherine as our photographer. We will now have these beautiful pictures forever and will relive our special day anytime we look at them.

Katherine and her husband, Jason, were phenomenal to work with! From the time we booked them a year and a half before our wedding, to after our wedding and receiving our photos, they were easy to communicate with, showed expertise, and enjoyable to be with. We did not have a hired wedding coordinator, but on the day of our wedding Katherine and Jason knew exactly what to expect, how to pose us, and completed all portraits we wanted within a timely manner so we could enjoy time with our guests during cocktail hour. Many of our guests complimented Katherine and Jason saying that the photographers were not in the way during the ceremony or reception, which they greatly appreciated. We received our online gallery very quickly for both our engagement session and wedding, and all the pictures are flawless! My husband and I continue to get compliments on them. WE LOVE Katherine Salvatori's Weddings & Photography of Glen Ellyn! Could not wait to recommend her and her husband and say great things about them! YOU WILL OVE YOUR WEDDING PHOTO'S IF YOU HIRE THIS TEAM! Katherine and Jason BOTH have an eye for capturing moments of PURE JOY! These are not your average photographs and feel so personal. I don't know how they do it but they do it! They just seem to capture the essence of the couple getting married. All the shots for my son's (Aaron and Mara at Independence Grove) wedding were perfect! They are also the nicest, warmest people you will ever meet and will do anything for you! WOW, where do I begin?? I knew the minute I got engaged that I wanted to have Katherine for our photographer. I found her on facebook and became obsessed with her work. I sent her so many emails in the year of planning and she always got back to me. On the day of, she arrived with her husband, Jason. They were both SO great! Katherine is all business, she's there to get the shots! Jason was so helpful, he was there always fixing my train and holding my flowers. Made me feel so special. The details, OH the details!! This is what you hire Katherine for!! I have every little detail of my day captured. From the centerpieces to all of the little signs I had out, I have a picture of them all. What blew me away was when we left the reception, Katherine had already posted a sneak peek of some photos on her facebook page!!! They had just left a few hours prior!! The best decision we made towards our wedding (besides my husband and I saying "I Do") was hiring Katherine as our wedding photographer. I fell in love with her portfolio while searching for photographers that photographed at the Morton Arboretum - she has a classic, timeless, romantic feel to all of her photos and they are absolutely exquisite. What I didn't know at the time was how AMAZING Katherine is. When we first met her for our engagement shoot, she immediately put us at ease and really made the most of our time together. You can tell how experienced she is - she guided us into the best poses that resulted in gorgeous photos that looked natural and carefree, yet are the equivalent of the gorgeous photos you see in all the wedding websites and yearn for. Not to mention, we just absolutely loved our time with her. The days leading up to the wedding Katherine spoke with me frequently and calmed my nerves. We had a 1 PM ceremony in Arlington Heights with our reception starting at 6 PM at the Morton Arboretum - truly a marathon day. Katherine and her husband Jason were full of energy and were the equivalent of our wedding planners and personal assistants, on top of being our photographers. Katherine kept us on schedule, in order, and was so well prepared. Our group photos went smoothly and efficiently, allowing for the maximum amount of photos for our time. Jason was so attentive and helpful - carrying my bouquet, helping me with the train and bustle of my dress as we walked through the grass to get the perfect shots, fixing my veil, etc. The entire bridal party said numerous times how incredibly impressed they were with Katherine and Jason, and they loved spending the day with them! The other thing that is noteworthy is her timeliness - we had all of our photos in a few short weeks! My other friends have waited months from their photographers. We loved being on our honeymoon and reliving the day through the photos!

Choosing a photographer was our top priority when deciding on wedding vendors. After all, the pictures will last forever. While we tried to soak up every moment of that day, it’s impossible to remember everything. Our wedding photographs are the only thing we get to keep. To this day, we still cannot believe how many compliments we receive about our photographer. They stood out in the best way! Katherine and Jason are the perfect mix of warm and professional. They were incredibly easy to work with and accommodated all of our needs. We were concerned about the tight day-of timeline we were giving them, but they took it in stride. Not only did they make sure we stuck to the schedule, but they also helped keep everyone else on schedule. One of the biggest complaints we’ve heard about wedding photos is how painful family photographs can be. With Katherine and Jason, the photos were easy and efficient. Before making the decision to hire Katherine Salvatori, I scrolled through her photo galleries and hundreds of her photos. I quickly realized that I needed her to photograph our wedding because I wanted memories as perfect as the ones she captured for her other clients. I was definitely not disappointed. Words do not describe how in love I am with our wedding photos. Katherine and her husband, Jason, made our wedding day- from start to finish - come to life in through their lenses. Not only does this husband and wife duo take incredible photos, working with them was an absolute dream. From the moment they arrived at my house for the "getting ready" photos, they took charge and knew exactly what to do, what moments they needed to capture, and they even captured the unexpected ones so beautifully. My dress was very big, and my train was very long; but, somehow, Jason managed to keep my dress fluffed and my veil perfectly positioned and in place throughout our very long day. I did not have a day of coordinator, nor did I need one because this duo did more for us on our wedding day than just take beautiful pictures. They made sure our wedding day ran smoothly and were aware of the little minor details that needed to be addressed before I knew what was even going on. For example, during the best man/maid of honor speeches, Katherine ran to the head table to make sure the arrangements on our table did not block our faces in any of the photos. I am so grateful for the little details they were acutely aware of and helped address for me; this comes with experience and it shows in their work and in their interactions. They made sure we stayed on course with our timeline, caught up if we were running behind, and that we captured every photo that we wanted to take. Before and even after the wedding, Katherine has been incredibly easy to get in touch with; she is super responsive and accommodating, and goes above and beyond. Her work product is quality and worth every penny.

We hired Katherine for our wedding photography and her husband, second shooter, Jason was extremely sweet and such a big helper to the bride! He carried my bouquet wherever I needed to walk to our photo locations at our venue since it was difficult to do so with my long lace dress and would he would also hold my train for me! I mean, seriously, who does that now a days?! I certainly have never heard of that! But Jason does and he will for the bride! Well worth every penny! From the engagement pictures to the wedding itself, Katherine was constantly in touch with us and making us feel at ease. Such a friendly person to work with and also a great photographer! On the actual wedding day, Katherine and her Husband got amazing pictures without getting in the way. They went beyond the role of photographers by being ready with food and water when my husband and I needed it, tied a special knot for my husband's tie that got him compliments all night and they were on constant watch for my dress to make sure it was fluffed properly and looking great all evening. If I could rate them higher than a 5 for all the above categories I would. If you have a chance to use Katherine, please do!

Katherine and Jason were truly amazing and I would recommend them a million times! They both are incredibly easy to work with and allow the day to run smooth. They took charge when they needed to and directed the wedding party beautifully when it came time for pictures. Katherine keeps you on schedule while she's knocking out photos, while Jason is catering to your every need, while also snapping photos! The two are a perfect pair and are definitely worth the money! My husband and I only wish we had more time with them! While planning the wedding, Katherine is very easy to get a hold of and responds in a timely manner. We had numerous guests comment about how awesome our photographers were and loved the photos! One of the best things is that Katherine is super speedy at getting your photos edited and back to you within weeks! Most places make you wait months to a year! Bravo, we were so lucky to have them!

Katherine and her husband Jason photographed our wedding this past fall, and they were both incredible! We had such an amazing experience working with them, and the photos are gorgeous! They were so on top of everything throughout the entire process- from calling me a month before to finalize the details of the photos we were wanting, to somehow managing to get my entire extended family together for group shots that turned out great, to holding my flowers and straightening my train throughout the day. Everything went so smooth and I was so confident knowing they had everything handled. The photos are stunning and we have received so many compliments from friends and family! Where to start? This team went above and beyond! Katherine and her husband, Jason were like an extended part of our bridal party - they fit in so perfectly! When we hired them, we knew that we were going to get the best wedding photo's we have ever seen, but were pleasantly surprised by how much more they brought to our lives that day. They had such a fun, collaborative and joyful vibe. Jason was amazing, he was constantly picking the train of my dress up and grabbing my flowers so that I could enjoy the moment. We found ourselves laughing with them throughout so many parts of our wedding making the photo's completely in the moment. I feel that even though our wedding is over, I want them as friends! They will certainly continue to gain our business throughout different moments in our life. And more great news, I already have friends, who are soon to be engaged, that can't wait to use them for their wedding day as well!

Katherine Salvatori is an incredible photographer. While planning our wedding, she made everything seamless. We have heard horror stories about others wedding pictures by other vendors, but we knew we would absolutely love ours- and it was one less thing we had to worry about. Katherine and Jason showed up early, got to work, and helped us through our day. They were a blast to work with, and it shows in our pictures. They were very professional, and willing to lend a hand whenever we needed anything at all. Jason made sure we were able to sneak some appetizers and refreshments in during happy hour pictures. He even went above and beyond to find some heel protectors as we were getting married in the grass, and I forgot to pack—All while Katherine was capturing moments. The couple is a dynamic duo, and we were so happy they were able to be a part of our special day. Our pictures are breathtaking, and we were even able to view the album before we even returned from our honeymoon! I would highly recommend Katherine Salvatori to anyone! They are hands down the best!

I can't say enough good things about Katherine Salvatori. Right away, we felt comfortable and at ease with Katherine--after our engagement shoot my husband and I looked at each other and said, "That was so much fun!!" And the wedding pictures...wow. Our guests said they were the most beautiful photos they've ever seen. Katherine and her husband went above-and-beyond, helping us fluff and bustle dresses, bringing us water, and even bringing us snacks so we didn't feel hungry! If you are thinking of booking, do it! Katie and Jason where beyond amazing!!! They captured every little moment no matter how big or small it was! They also go above and beyond to help with any wedding needs! While transporting from the church to the reception, Jason took a ride with the wedding party on the party bus to capture some of the Crazy moments, being a bride I was struggling to dance and squeeze through the bus with my dress so he bustled my dress! Was so helpful and amazing to have a photographer help in other times of need! Photo turn around is super fast and the pictures are beyond amazing! Definitely would recommend them!

Katie and Jason are absolutely wonderful! We are sooooo thankful that we were able to have them as our photographers at our wedding. There is honestly no better team than a husband and wife to capture the most precious moments and love between newlyweds in photographs that you will keep forever! Jason and Katie work so well together and keeps you smiling the entire time! No matter how nervous you are they walk you through the day step by step! Katie is so organized and made sure we took every picture we wanted before the night was over. She is so easy to get ahold of and will answer all your questions (even if you have a million like I did). Jason is just as great! He was such a huge help! Always making sure we were taken care of day of. He came equipped with mini water bottles and would sneak in and let us have a few sips in between pictures. He held my dress up so it didn't get ruined, held my flowers so I could concentrate on walking and not falling lol and even brought us snacks to make sure we had a bite to eat throughout our busy day! They were both so helpful and so much fun to have around! Oh and if you guys have kids in the bridal party you definitely want Katie and Jason there to take their pictures! They were a huge hit, the kids loved them!!! Now let's talk about their pictures......words can't describe how amazing their work is! There won't be a single picture that you're not happy with.....I promise you! They are both so detail oriented, but in different ways so you will get a wide variety of pictures. It's hard to explain until you give them the chance to be your photographer and see for yourself. Both Katie and Jason take jaw dropping photos. They are both so unique yet their pictures mesh perfectly together! You will get a variety of traditional, creative, scenic and detailed pictures that will be the most beautiful pictures you've ever seen! Wow, BEST photographers ever!! HANDS DOWN!! Jason and Katie are an amazing team in every single way--- for professional, beautiful, flattering, artistic, timeless photos as well as an amazing, comfortable, fun, professional experience that they provide. From our first official meeting at Katie's office in Glen Ellyn, to hearing their mission statement about capturing candid moments, our engagement photo session and finally the big day every single step was SO nice having Katie's expertise for as we planned the big day photos. We love Katie and Jason so much we actually CHOSE our wedding date according to their schedule (she books fast so hurry up!) for when they could come to Michigan for our wedding. That is how amazing they are !! We picked them before venue or anything else!!!!! She and Jason are worth every penny, and honestly I would have spent 3times what she charged if I had to- it's THAT worth it! They are tremendous at easily directing people into poses and commanding bridal party crowds. I have been a bridesmaid in 3 other weddings that Katie and her husband photographed, so after seeing them in action I had more than enough info to choose Katie as our photographer. She consistently sets the entire group at ease, while making quick decisions and keeping with the timeline. Plus she edits soooo fast! Jason a huge heart and is constantly serving- as a bride I already felt like a princess but in addition to attention to detail he also brought me water, snacks during the cocktail hour, readjusted my train and veil like a pro, provided some comic relief when I got teary and YES even bustled my complicated Lacey dress!!!!!! HE DID ALL OF THIS WHILE PHOTOGRAPHING! Tremendous! I honestly could write a novel about this couple and the love they pour into their work and the weddings they photograph- you can tell they are passionate and so heartfelt... I highly recommend Katherine Salvatori for your wedding photography! Worth every penny!! She did an amazing job at our wedding at the Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton, IL. It was her and her husbands first time shooting at the venue and without knowing the venue well they were able to capture our wedding in such a beautiful and artistic way! I was truly in love with how the photos turned out! There was not a bad photo in the bunch. It is going to be really hard for us to choose which ones to display in our home. Our family was also very pleased with how the photos turned out and we have been getting compliments non-stop from them about how beautiful and perfect the photos are. Her and her husband are so professional and a joy to work with. They are both so nice and friendly and made sure to make sure our day went perfect. Her husband even went above and beyond his job duties as a photographer and ran got a set of keys for us in a hurry. We could not have asked for anything better. The pictures were perfect! Katherine and her husband Jason were one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding! Katherine is professional, quick and takes amazing pictures!! Jason was half photographer, half ninja- between tying my grandpa's bow tie, bustling my dress and holding my veil and train all day- he was right by my side, doing things before I even knew they needed to be done!! Katherine and Jason were recently a part of our wedding day, and we could not be more pleased with their work and the entire process. We feel so blessed to have had Katherine Salvatori with us on the most important day of my daughter’s life. Choosing her as our wedding photojournalist was absolutely the best wedding day decision. She immortalized the day with photographs that are artistic, classy and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. The next morning we were thrilled to see that she had posted “her favorites” on Facebook and her blog. A true professional, she had obviously worked diligently through the night in order for us to have such a wonderful surprise. The photographs are absolutely breathtaking. I cannot tell you how many people commented that her photographs look like they were taken from a magazine. For months, I prayed it wouldn’t rain. Thank God for unanswered prayers because the pictures that were captured in the rain are incredibly gorgeous!!! She is amazingly talented and has such an eye for backgrounds, color, poses and capturing that special moment. With all of the festivities going on, the day becomes a bit of a blur, but then you see the pictures and it brings the wedding day back to life. We truly appreciate the kindness that she and Jason extended towards Stephanie and Justin. Whether it was dabbing her tears, bustling her dress, or just being so darned considerate and patient, they both went above and beyond personally and professionally. Most importantly, they listened to Stephanie and Justin and understood their idea of their perfect wedding and portrayed it beautifully. They showed their professionalism in so many ways. I truly do not know where to begin, so I will start with this...Katherine Salatori Photography was without a doubt one of the VERY best investment we made towards our wedding day! She & her husband Jason (the second shooter) were amazing to work with and numerous times went very above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I had reached out to Katherine right away when I was engaged...she had photographed two weddings of close friends so I not only knew her beautiful work, but also her personality and dedication to her craft. I didn't even entertain the idea of looking around for our wedding photographer, we set up with the meeting with Katherine and booked her on the spot. Her work is so vibrant, detailed, thoughtful and gorgeous. She captures the beauty of every little single thing about your wedding day - from the details you spent so much time working on, to the smiles and laughs from your family & friends. Katherine's photography initially caught my eye when I was looking for a wedding photographer. I really liked how she capture other couples' wedding days is such a simple and elegant way, she didn't over pose the wedding couple or bridal party or attempt to be editorial. She just captured the beauty and happiness of the day. And that's exactly how she captured our day!!! We received our wedding album two weeks after our wedding. We were blown way with how lovely all our pictures were. Everyone looked stunning!

Katherine and Jason (her husband) were so great to work with before and on our wedding day. Katherine always responded to my emails in a timely manner. Katherine Salvatori was the photographer for my wedding, and I could not have picked a better person to do the job! I am incredibly happy with her services, and will absolutely be referring her to my friends and family in the future! I was given a personal referral to Katherine, which speaks to her amazing skill, talent, and wonderful personality.

Katherine did a terrific job reaching out to me (as needed) in the months leading up to my wedding, in order to hammer out all of the details. We even met in-person twice before my wedding. We also had her take our engagement photos in downtown Chicago, which turned out ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! We got a ton of compliments on them.

On the day of our wedding, Katherine and her husband Jason (her second shooter) came to my parents' house, as planned. They chatted with my family while also snapping photos. Katherine and Jason took our getting ready photos, first look photos, group photos and portraits, and photos of our wedding party just chilling and waiting around, all prior to our wedding… but we did not feel pressed for time at all. Jason rode in the limo to the venue with us, capturing some fun moments during the ride. Katherine and Jason then took more portraits before and after the ceremony, and photos during the ceremony and reception. They remained highly professional and personable, and captured all of the amazing moments of the day! It's as if they were both in five places at once!

Within a few days of our wedding, Katherine posted a sneak-peak of our wedding day on her blog. Not too long after, we received the full gallery. The photos are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I am thrilled with her work and cannot wait to order prints and my album, and to show these photos off to my family and friends!

Katherine is amazingly talented and skillful. I am beyond pleased with her work... our photos are more beautiful than we ever dreamed! I HIGHLY recommend Katherine Salvatori Photography!!!!!

Katherine Salvatori is beyond amazing. Her work is incredible and my entire experience with her from requesting information to discussing albums post wedding is that of a true professionalism. She and her husband (Jason) went above and beyond in every way imaginable and most importantly on the day of the wedding. Their concern over not only making sure we captured beautiful photos, but having an incredible day (helping with the bustle, pinning flowers, fixing bowties, checking on timing of ceremony, etc) truly made our day unbelievable. I cannot say enough about the amazing work Katherine produces and how much my entire wedding party enjoyed working with her and Jason. (One of my own bridesmaids that is also engaged even booked her for her own wedding!)

We cannot say enough good things about Katherine and Jason Salvatori. As much as weddings are an amazing and wonderful experience they can also be stressful. However, as soon as you start working with Katherine (and Jason on the wedding day!), all of your anxiety will melt away and you will just be having fun! Katherine was an absolute joy to work with for our engagement session. We still can’t believe we accomplished all the photos we wanted in our time without feeling rushed or unnatural but Katherine has an amazing eye and knows exactly what will look best to provide you exquisite photos.

Knowing we would have our amazing photographer Katherine for our wedding was a huge relief because we knew from our engagement session that each photo would be stunning (and they are!). However, we did not even realize what a gem we would have when it came to her husband Jason. He was absolutely incredible to work with and we know we owe a lot of the special details and clean lines of our photos to him. Jason was always running around and adjusting everything as needed to get the perfect shot.

We also want to mention that no matter how busy Katherine and Jason are they get your photos to you in a very timely matter. Our engagement photos were ready the week after the shoot and the wedding photos were ready within two weeks.

We could go on and on about how marvelous and truly talented Katherine and Jason are and the professional service they provide. We know we will go back to Katherine Salvatori Photography for all of our future special events.

Amazing photography! Katherine was so easy to work with from the very first email. She is quick to respond to all of your questions and concerns. She will make helpful suggestions and make the entire process so easy. Katherine teamed up with her husband Jason for our wedding day and captured so many beautiful memories! Katherine is simply the best. Her work is beautiful and stunning. She is easily reachable and she is incredibly knowledgeable and flexible.

Katherine captured my husband and I perfectly in all of our engagement photographs and she is a ton of fun! We wanted a few photos to send out our Save the Dates and she did a quick shoot for us to capture the perfect image.

In the Spring, we had our engagement photographs and she quickly and professionally moved her way throughout the college where we met and the park at which we got engaged. My friends and family adored the engagement photographs and we have many of them displayed at home. We were on her blog just a few short days after the shoot and had our login a week later. She also sent the sweetest card with a gift card for Starbucks a few weeks before our wedding, which was the kindest gesture.

The wedding photographs were flawlessly captured. Each and every one is artistic and beautiful. She didn't miss any of the little details and she captured some great family photographs.

Katherine truly set the schedule for my wedding day and I knew that I could count on her to get things done. She is exactly the right person to have in your corner on your wedding day. Whether she is giving directions, directing crazy family members, or discreetly capturing special moments, Katherine knows how to do it all.

The best part is that two days later our first pictures were up on the blog! We had so much fun sitting at the pool on our honeymoon admiring the pictures. We had the whole login with the images by the end of the first week and our flash drive was sitting at home waiting for us when we got back from our trip-AMAZING!

We had family members and friends gushing about her work for months after the wedding. And several friends stood up in other weddings after ours and said that the other photographers do not even come close to Katherine's quality of work and expertise.

We got married in November and we went straight to Katie after we saw her shoot our friends wedding the year before. Katie is awesome and her photos are beautiful.

Since we are in Chicago, we did most of our consultations with Katie over Skype. She was available to meet on weeknights since we work during the day. We shot our engagement photos in downtown Chicago and on museum campus and Katie was easy to work with. We picked some initial locations and once we got there she didn't hesitate to move us around and suggest spots to shoot. She works quick and got a ton of shots. The photos are posted on Facebook and her site and getting comments from friends gets you a free canvas.

Before the wedding, we had a final call or two with Katie and set up a shot sheet with the photos we thought we could get through, as well as a list of other photos we wanted if we had time.

On our wedding day, Katie went with the Bridal party and her husband Jason went with the grooms party to shoot getting ready photos. We also had a first look, some wedding party photos, and some family photos after the wedding. Katie and Jason work quickly and we got through all of our photo list without ever feeling rushed. They're not only good at what they do, they're professional, funny, and extraordinarily nice in the process.

Last but not least, the photos are amazing. I'm a bit biased but they're some of the best wedding photos I've ever seen. We received a thumb drive and a web link that contains all of the pictures, edited versions (like B&W), and a subset of highlighted "top" photos. After some of the experiences my friends have had with wedding photographers, I'm thrilled to say that Katie and Jason were everything we could have hoped for and worth every penny.

There are no words to tell everyone how amazing Katie and her husband Jason are as a team. - Prompt, Understanding, Flexable, Creative and they, as a team, capture shots I would have only dreamt of. I felt like a million dollars on the day of my wedding - and it shines through on every picture. Our 2.5yo daughter was the spotlight of our day - which is also beautifully captured!! Since we didn't have a videographer to capture our 28 person wedding, I wanted our photos to be magic - and they were!!!! Katherine and her husband are a great team! Together, they captured all the emotions of our wedding. We got so many compliments on our wedding pictures. Katherine and Jason were absolutely phenomenal! We have seen their work in our friends' weddings and absolutely fell in love with the end result. In our decision to go with Katherine Salvatori Photography, we experienced nothing but professionalism and ease. Their schedule was very flexible and able to accommodate us in any way necessary.
The day of our ceremony went smooth due to their flawless efforts in capturing all moments throughout the day. They were extremely fun to work with and made our special day that much better. Katherine and Jason were nothing but smiles the entire day but also were prompt/down to business when we needed to focus for pictures in the church immediately following the wedding.
The best part was that Katherine and Jason were on the same page the entire day and they used so many non-verbal cues with each other to maintain efficiency throughout all photographic sessions. Jason was lights out in setting up my bride's dress in each shot so that the elegance of the dress was displayed in the best possible way.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Katherine Salvatori Photography. It was an absolute pleasure to have Katherine and Jason photograph our wedding. From making us feel comfortable in front of the camera at our engagement session, to shooting our wedding day and finishing the full gallery within a few short days, we were nothing short of floored by their responsiveness and professionalism throughout the entire process. The photography package we chose was a little on the high end of our budget, but without a doubt the price was worth every penny. Katherine has such an eye for the details, and managed to capture all of our unique and special moments in addition to the big ones! Going through all the photos made me feel like I was experiencing the day all over again, but in a way where I can take in all the details and people that I might have missed otherwise. I love that there are some staged photos that will last a lifetime, but the candid ones truly make my heart smile. Love, love, love the professionalism, kindness and amazing pictures! Pictures were one of the most important details in planning our wedding and we were not disappointed! Not only did we get a sneak peek of our pictures with in a few hours of our wedding but we received a blog featuring highlights of the wedding within 4 days and our entire gallery within a week! Also, personality wise Katherine and Jason were amazing! Both were super friendly and personable. Jason even made sure my train was taken care of and even brought us food and water when we took our pictures during cocktail hour-much appreciated! We could not be happier with the choice we made in our photographer! Hiring Katherine and her husband, Jason, for our wedding was by far the best vendor decision we made! Jason did a great job with our wedding photography! Our wedding pictures turned out beautiful. It was so nice working with him on the day of our wedding.
