We had the most exceptional experience with Kate as our wedding photographer! Our package included engagement photos and our wedding day, which was wonderful because it allowed both my husband and me to get to know her better and feel more comfortable with spending our wedding day with her capturing all the special moments.
Kate was our first vendor we booked after we secured our venue. We knew it would be an added cost to fly her into Fort Worth for our wedding, but after looking at countless other photographers, it was clear that her value and skill could not be matched.
Kate’s style is classic, timeless, but also artistic and interesting. Kate captured not only great photos of us as a couple but highlighted the architecture of our venues and built beautiful compositions that make our photos also a piece of art in addition to capturing memories. The filter Kate puts on her photos is light and airy, accentuating the colors and joy of our special day, and avoiding a grainy or heavy filter that might be trendy for a year, but will not age well. I could tell she painstakingly edited our photos as several of our favorite shots had a parking lot and street behind us, which you can’t even tell in the final photo!
We truly have a go-to photo from each aspect of our ceremony and reception and all the sweet moments in between. It’s a great problem to have when you have too many favorites! As I look at my gallery of photos in comparison to some of my other friends, I’m struck by 1) how many more photos I have and 2) what excellent quality they are.
Kate’s entire team were professionals, navigating the communication with our day-of coordinator and other vendors smoothly. Kate also advocated for us getting the shots we wanted during our ceremony with our church who had pretty strict rules for photos within our sanctuary—allowing me to not stress or deal with any of the drama myself on our special day!
You will not regret securing Kate as your photographer for life’s most special moments and even though we are out of state, I hope to continue to find ways for her to photograph our family years to come!

Kate captured our wedding in the most beautiful way! We seriously have too many beautiful shots to choose from. She definitely understood the assignment. I told her I wanted 1 group portrait of us and the bridal party that had us all looking like "Gossip Girl meets Schitts Creek" and she absolutely NAILED IT. My husband wanted to feel like James Bond in the photos and she delivered on that too. Highly recommend Kate and would definitely hire her again for future photography needs! -

If you are looking for someone who will make you feel immediately comfortable and get really good photos of you without any awkwardness and have everything completed in a timely manner, with true professionalism? Kate is the best choice! I mean it…
So….I always thought getting pictures professionally taken was pretty stressful ( yup, that’s me with the fake smile and the awkward hand thing in most casual photos- throw in some posed photos and my thoughts range from: where should I look, what do I do with my arm, is there too much teeth, how do you smize? Wait, what is smizing…) And throw that together with planning a beach wedding in January with questionable weather (please don’t rain, please don’t rain!) And then combine that with trying to get the right look and feel - nice but beachy but special while encompassing “us”? And getting everything right - sunset, low tide, friends, family, dog and getting married! It’s a lot! But she did it.
You’re probably talking to a few different folks and trying to figure out how to describe what you want but not really knowing how to express yourself? She gets it. I mean it.
She’s been doing this a while and if you look at her photos - you get it. She knows what you want your pictures to say. She makes things really easy. She knows what’s beautiful. She knows what you need to remember - and she walks you through the whole thing. Even before she takes the photos.
We talked on the phone. And that was it! She knew what I wanted.
There was so many things to plan! And even though I wanted simple and casual I really wanted special… and I was lucky I found Kate. She had taken some photos of my friend - some were playfully sophisticated (if you need any business or LinkedIn photos, she would be awesome!) and she had taken some family photos and that segued into wedding photos. And they were awesome.
They were casually inviting. Honest. Open. Great light. You could tell that everyone in the photos felt comfortable. And I can attest to that. If you’re even on the fence - do it. Talk to her. She’ll make you feel comfortable. She’ll tell you how it can look. And she’ll make it happen. -

You're not just getting beautiful photos, you're getting a great experience
I hired Kate after being a guest in several weddings she photographed and saw the beautiful photos she produced and experience she provided firsthand. The venue we chose was a location she had never been to before, but she really listened to our desires as a couple so we would have photos that felt authentic to us. I know she dedicated so much time in preparation for our wedding so she could capture our perfect day.
I feel like every photographer's goal is to take beautiful photos, but Kate goes above and beyond. She stood out in the freezing (and very unexpected) rain and snow and hiked through mud to get the perfect shot while we stayed dry under the eaves. She adapted to the changing weather, wedding timeline, and family dynamics.
Kate's #1 priority is her wedding couple. She has an innate ability to read people and will do whatever it takes so you have your perfect day. Have an overbearing family member that is stressing you out on your wedding day? Kate has no problem being the person to help you have some space. She is the person that reminds you to drink water and will steal you away so you have 5 minutes to eat some appetizers. She captured the candid moments and gave us private time to soak it all in without being intrusive. She made us all feel comfortable in front of the camera and her pictures reflect that.
When I hired Kate, I knew I could trust her to produce beautiful photos we will cherish for our lifetime. What I didn't know is that I would walk away from our day with so much joy and gratitude that she was there because she made our day better. -

Kate is picture perfect!
I have attended and been in the bridal party at MANY weddings and Kate is far and away the BEST wedding photographer! She has such a keen attention to detail and stops at practically nothing to ensure you get the dreamiest pictures. She truly has a way of not only capturing everyone at their best moments but honing in on special photo worthy moments, the big and the small. I’ve been in the bridal party at weddings at the coast, in the mountains, and regardless of where we are she goes above and beyond to scope out the best shooting locations. She also is so quick on the fly, adapting to whatever conditions may arise. It started SNOWING at my best friend’s outdoor wedding in JUNE and without breaking a sweat she switched up shots and locations and moved the process along so quickly to get family and the bridal party done so that they could be out of the cold. If I could sing Kate’s praises more, I would! I’m just so delighted to have so many special moments captured by her lens. -

Kate was instrumental in making our special day one for the record books!
Kate was such a joy to work with! Our wedding was supposed to happen in 2020 but got postponed because of Covid. Kate was so kind and understanding when the postponement happened. She worked with us and made sure to be available for our new wedding date. Kate had great communication and response time leading up to the wedding and day-of could not have been a better person to have as our photographer. She so obviously knew what she was doing, she helped tell us how to pose and look natural, and she helped corral our families for photos too and tell them where to stand (which is no small feat). We can’t recommend her highly enough. -

I'm gonna be honest, I don't like getting my picture taken. Like, at all. Generally I've avoided it as best I can throughout my life, something I didn't want to do for my wedding. We found Kate through a friend of ours and she shot our engagement photos and our wedding. She made the experience super comfortable and totally helped ease my photo anxiety. Even better, the pictures she took are absolutely incredible. Our wedding album is a treasure that we look at constantly. Kate captured our big day so magnificently and I would recommend her to anyone! -

Kate was perfect. She knew how to capture who we are as individuals and as a couple. She also captured our family and friends really well. We still are using her photos for gifts and decor around our house. She really helped to keep the beauty of with us through her photos. -

A Quality Photographer!
Kate has captured some of my most memorable moments over the past nine years and I couldn’t be more grateful! Kate took ‘save the date’, engagement and wedding photos of my husband and I in 2012/2013 and wonderfully captured who we were as a couple. She offered super helpful advice in preparation for the shoot and gave wonderful suggestions and advice throughout the shoots. Most importantly, she seemed to get the perfect shots and great angles at just the right time! Since then, we’ve been blessed to have Kate take pictures of our growing family - not only is she great with couples, she’s great with kids!! She took pictures of my family throughout the years creating long lasting memories. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a gifted, high quality photographer with creativity, spunk and dedication! -

Choosing Kate to be our wedding photographer was probably the best decision we made! I met her when she photographed my friends wedding and I knew immediately that I we had to book her. From the booking process, to engagement photos, to the day of the wedding, she was so easy to work with and so professional. We did our engagement photos on Balboa Island and Kate went above and beyond to make sure we got all the photos we wanted and even spent extra time with us to make sure we got the perfect sunset shots. Leading up to engagement photos, I was nervous, but Kate made it so fun and truly brought out the true essence of us as a couple. We received our sneak peek photos within days and the remaining photos not long after. WAY sooner than I ever expected!
When our wedding rolled around a few months later, I was completely at ease since our engagement photos were STUNNING! We went over a detailed list of all the photos I wanted for the day of so I had nothing to worry about. When it was time for the bridal party photos, my husband even commented that it was the easiest wedding photo experience he had ever been a part of! We even got our wedding photo sneak peaks the very next day and they were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!
So, to sum it up, Kate is incredible and if you have the chance to work with her DO IT!!!! She is the best!

She is experienced at finding the perfect moments that couples will look back on and say “wow I am so happy we have a photo to remember that moment”. She makes you feel very comfortable and has many suggestions and ideas. She is the kindest person and really takes the time to make you feel so special and important! She took gorgeous photos and captured the sunsetting light just perfectly! It feels like she's not even there! Now the hard part, picking a few of my favorites from the hundreds of photos she took! Please brides, book Kate! You won't regret it!
