  Julia is amazing!

  Working with Julia was an amazing experience. Her kindness and professionalism made everything easy. She went out of her way to make sure my Husband and I had all the photos we could ever want including amazing photos of our puppy. We could not have asked for a better experience and photographer. She helped make this the best day of our lives and the photos turned out even better than we could have imagined. Thank you to Julia and her team! They are the perfect team to make you wedding perfect and with perfect memories to keep forever.

  Gorgeous memories captured

  We were so pleased that Julia was a part of our wedding day! I had been researching area photographers, primarily online/via Instagram, because I live abroad. Julia's style was one that we really loved. However, it turns out that a friend of mine had Julia photograph her wedding and had nothing but good things to say - that really cemented the decision. She was very responsive via email - making time to communicate with me through scheduled phone calls, emails, and the occasional in-person meeting when I was home visiting and taking care of wedding admin. She is of course incredibly detail-oriented, but also put all of us at ease on the wedding day, herding together both of our large families for formals (even 8 months pregnant!). We were worried that we'd feel silly and overly posed, but it rarely felt that way - she even made sure to carve out some time during our reception to grab the sunset, but so that we wouldn't miss too much of the fun! Given that we had a multicultural wedding, there were many parts that we wanted captured, and we as well as our family and friends have been thrilled with the memories captured on our wedding day!

  Our daughter and her fiancée were attracted to the quality of Julia’s work when we first started exploring our photo options for their wedding. Meeting with her cemented our resolve to hire her, as she formed an immediate emotional connection with them. She is the rare photographer who understands how critical it is for a professional in her field to make their subjects totally comfortable and relaxed during photo sessions. She flew to their home to do an engagement shoot, further developing her relationship with them and their trust in her in the process. What a beautiful set of photos came out of that meeting!
  
  At the wedding she and her assistant were everywhere that they needed to be, seemingly all at once and without becoming overly obtrusive at any point. She had worked closely with my daughter to develop a timeline for desired photos and yet maintained the necessary flexibility to work around unforeseen circumstances. Rain threatened immediately following my daughter’s ceremony, when large outdoor group photos were planned. Julia and her assistant were amazing in their organization and speed in getting all of the desired shots done, with all of the right groupings, in very little time before the rain began. All with a calm and pleasant demeanor. And every shot was picture perfect! In numerous other candid shots, she was able to capture the emotional joy of the day in ways that far exceeded our expectations. Her technical skill is top notch and we could not have been happier with the results! Her pricing is clear and fair and she was extremely reliable and responsive to emails as well.

  Julia was warm and made us feel so comfortable from the moment we met her (which says something for two goofy people who were not used to being photographed!). She brought out the authenticity in our relationship that shown through in the pictures. She was a blast to be with. She was professional, organized, and kept everyone in line on the wedding day. She was respectful and non-intrusive. We got 12 pictures the day after the wedding and got the full package just one month later. She was reasonable about price and adjusted to meet our needs. The pictures are absolutely beautiful. She is the wedding vendor I am most pleased by and would most highly recommend. Worth the price 100%. Highly recommend.

  Julia was fantastic! Everything from photo planning to day-of service was just great. She was good about suggesting posed shots that didn't feel forced, and also got a lot of fun candids. She's also just a really nice, energetic person! I would highly recommend!

  Where to start! Julia is excellent. Our pictures are stunning and she goes the extra mile to get the perfect shot. Julia made my husband and I so comfortable on our wedding day, which resulted in stunning photos that we will cherish forever. She is very professional and prompt at answering emails. A few days before the wedding I emailed Julia that I was feeling anxious about getting my picture taken all day long, and just her response made me feel much better. However, I had no idea how relaxed I would actually feel around her. I really can't speak enough about how much we liked her as our photographer and how much we love our photos. I know there are many good photographers, but Julia is above and beyond.

  We really can't say enough about Julia. She is absolutely amazing! Julia provided photography services for our marriage celebration. She took the time to get to know us before the event. It was clear that she also wanted us to get to know her and before comfortable with her before the big weekend. More than creating beautiful pictures, she wanted to create a relationship with us. This was imperative to us as we tend to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Julia was extremely professional and organized yet compassionate, kind, funny, relaxed, and sometimes it even felt like she knew what we were thinking! Even when we didn't think it was possible, Julia went out of her way to make sure that we had a moment to ourselves, in a location we hold very dear to our hearts, and captured a breathing taking picture. She captured moments that we will never forget, with or without a photograph. You will want to be her best friend by the end of your event!

Second of all, she is very responsive and professional. She promptly answered all my questions, gave me great advice and took into account my wishes, and was very on top of the timeline and family portraits. Third, she is such a calm and positive presence. She blends seamlessly into the background and helps everyone feel comfortable.   We were so lucky to have Julia as our wedding photographer. From our first meeting with her through the last few shots she took of our wedding day, Julia was more than we could have asked for in a photographer. To start, she is so down to earth, yet professional. We were instantly at ease with her and blown away by the quality of her work. She has such a great eye for setting up the pictures. She kept in touch with us through the entire process and was super fast in getting the pictures to us. Our engagement shoot was not only fun but we ended up with a ton of amazing photos of us and it was a great way to get an idea of what it would be like on our big day. In prepping for the wedding we had tons of input into what photos were must haves. And during the wedding Julia and her second shooter, Michelle, were very attentive and always close by for us to ask for a photo with friends and family. Even though they were always there they were never in our face or in the way! I don't know how they did it, but I never felt overwhelmed! We thoroughly enjoyed having Julia photograph us. It was like having a friend taking pictures, just a crazy talented friend! Her prices are unbeatable for what you get. In fact, I did a ton of research in this area when it came to looking for a wedding photographer and I had to do a double take when I saw the fabulous quality of work that you get with Julia Wade and the prices she charged for her packages. I felt like I got more with her for less money when compared to many of the other photographers in the RTP area. I would recommend Julia wade to photograph any wedding, anywhere, any time of year. She does beautiful work and is a beautiful person whose passion is clearly evident in how she works with us as the bride and groom! I could go on and on about Julia Wade Photography but I think you get the picture (no pun intended). Book her and you won't be disappointed!

  Julia's work speaks for itself. Just by looking at her photographs you can see that she is talented and truly loves what she does. Being a bride is stressful and Julia does everything she can to make you feel like you are her first priority. I knew at any point if I needed a recommendation or had a question about anything not just photography she was only a phone call, text, or email away. Julia was by far the most responsive vendor we had and she was easy to work with. Everything was very organized and user friendly from the forms we filled out to the payments everything was online and easily accessible.
  Our experience with Julia was one I will never forget, because not only are her pictures amazing but she is one of the most genuine people we've ever meet. She really wants to get to know you as a couple so she can take photos that represent you and the love you share. Who wouldn't want that for their wedding day!? My husband and I will always hold a special place in our hearts for Julia and everything she did for us and we look forward to having her take our family photos one day!

Julia provided full coverage on my wedding day as well as shooting an engagement session for us prior and setting up a photobooth at our reception. Julia has an amazing talent for photography; she is both technically skilled and has a great 'eye' for creating priceless photos. We could not be more pleased with the photos we received from her, and our friends and family are blown away when they see them! The best thing about Julia though is her calming presence and cool professionalism; she adapted to our last minute ceremony changes like a pro, and kept us relaxed and calm during our portraits. Hiring Julia was by far the best decision we made for our wedding.

  There's something about Julia! She is an amazing photographer (just look at her portfolio). She really knows how to work her camera and make you feel comfortable and not at all too silly in front of it. Her photos captured our special moments PERFECTLY. There really isn't anything bad I can say about her. She was professional,flexible, punctual and so enthusiastic and friendly. It was so nice to work with someone that was so enthusiastic and passionate about what she does. Having to plan a wedding at the East Coast while living on the West Coast is hard enough and working with Julia made it a bit easier.

  Julia is a true professional & took the time to really get to know my husband and I as a couple. Because of that, we have perfect wedding pictures that represent US. Before our engagement session, she had my husband and I fill out a questionnaire about our relationship, she actually READ the answers & came up with wonderful ideas resulting in a fun/romantic/exciting photo shoot. Julia also did my bridal session in October, of which, we got some of the most awesome shots of my dress that I will forever cherish!
  Last week we got back our wedding photos and all I have to say is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! She captured our special day to perfection & I couldn't be more excited to have these pictures to tell our story!
  I can say, hands down, Julia was my most favorite part of the whole wedding planning experience. She was professional, very responsive & VERY good at her job!

  Julia was a dream to work with, and she made us feel instantly comfortable. I showed Julia's images to a photographer I know and he asked whether we'd had a friend take the pictures, because so many of the shots were so relaxed and intimate. I said we'd only met Julia a couple of times before our wedding day, but that she felt like a friend immediately! I think that shows in the photographs. I couldn't recommend her strongly enough.

  Julia was a dream to work with, and she made us feel instantly comfortable. I showed Julia's images to a photographer I know and he asked whether we'd had a friend take the pictures, because so many of the shots were so relaxed and intimate.   We absolutely adore Julia and her husband Jonathan!!! We first met Julia during our engagement photo session and we knew immediately that we needed her to photographic our wedding as well! Julia and Jonathan are the sweetest people you will ever meet and make you feel so comfortable behind the camera! The pictures are to die for its been almost two months after my wedding and I still can't choose which pictures I want they are all so great!!!! Julia's work is breathtaking and she really captures those special moments. I cannot wait to have Julia photographic our future memories, we are lifelong fans!

  Julia is every bride's DREAM PHOTOGRAPHER. Julia is professional, prepared, and positive - but most of all she puts the bride at ease. Her playful, fun manner, makes you feel relaxed (which makes your photos really look like you!) but at the same time, she's always watching out for how you're going to look and whether or not you're being posed in the most flattering way possible. One of my favorite things is that Julia had me look at wedding photos online that I liked of other bride's and their weddings. Through my findings, she learned that I have a specific style that appeals to me and she was able to get the lenses to help her make the photos I liked. Additionally she had me prepare lists ahead of time of the posed photos I wanted. Bride's parents with B/G, Groom's parents with B/G, Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, Sisters with Bride, etc. She kept them on a list on her iPhone, so that she could check them off quickly and make sure that she didn't miss a single one -- in the wind on the beach - this was a terrific idea, since there were no paper lists to worry about! Julia arrived early for my wedding prep and while I was getting ready, she took beautiful photos of my dress, my shoes, the rings, and my sister and girlfriends helping me get ready. These are some of my most cherished photos - and ones that I think I would have overlooked had she not known that I would want them. I certainly believe you get what you pay for - but in the case of Julia, your pictures are worth a million. I look forward to the day that I can call her and ask if she's got time for a baby photo shoot!

  I (very luckily) stumbled upon Julia Wade in October of 2010 when I contacted another photographer in the Raleigh area to inquire about photographry services for my wedding. That photographer was out of my price range but referred me to Julia Wade who she said had a similiar style of photography and that her prices may better suit my budget. I contacted Julia and immediately knew she would be the one to shoot our wedding. Julia was so enthusiastic and passionate over the phone and talked to me like we were already friends. When we met in person, she asked us questions about what my husband and I wanted out of our wedding photos, not what she imagined and what may look good in her portfolio later (although, she has so much talent that I'm sure her portfolio speaks for itself).
  
  Not only did we end up having Julia shoot our wedding, she also shot our engagement pictures in downtown Raleigh and caught some of the most amazing seneries in the area - places that most photographers wouldn't think to shoot at, such as the top of an empty parking garage acorss from the Progress Energy building with amazing views surrounding the entire complex.
  
  The time between our engagement pictures and wedding was more than a year, but Julia kept in contact with us regularly just to see how the wedding planning was going and to see if she could help in any way. Getting closer to the wedding, I last minute decided to have bridal portraits done, and she even accomidated that, with only a month to spare before the wedding.
  
  On the big day, Julia came right on time and found her own way to our guest suite. She and her photographer partner for the day fit right in with my bridesmaids and contributed to the excitedment of the day. After the ceremony, we started shooting family portraits which began to stress me out because families tend to do that for me;-). Julia assured me that it would all turn out great and that the family portion of the program would be over soon. She was so organized and collected the whole day, arrived at every location on time, and had a strategy mapped on how she would shoot every angle of our wedding day. When we got our pictures back, my family and I were floored and there were plenty of tears to go around. Words cannot express how appreciative we are for the time Julia put into making all of our pictures sets one of a kind and for making us feel confident in her ability to capture exactly what we wanted our wedding pictures to be like. I have a feeling Julia will be shooting our first family pictures when the time comes for us to start one!!

  Julia did a fantastic job - both on our wedding and rehearsal dinner photography! The photos came out beautiful and she was really easy to work with. We felt we got a great value as well. Will definitely contract with her again for future needs.
