Organized! Professional!

Myrna was great! She kept everything extremely organized while maintaining professional and keeping calm (especially through the pandemic). Everything has been extremely smooth throughout the planning process. She followed up quickly on every email or question I sent her. She has a lot of vendor recommendations and an eye for design! She definitely helped guide us with party recommendations throughout the entire planning process. We would have been completely lost without her! Such a great help!

Myrna was an immense help to us for planning our wedding. There were times I was feeling over whelmed or doubting decisions. Myrna was able to help me process and better come to a decision, confidently.

The day of was seamless with her assistance in coordinating. We were able to enjoy the day with much less to barely any stress. I am grateful to have had her be a part of such a special day. Thank you Myrna!

Wedding planner for my niece

A literal angel

Hiring Myrna with It’s Your Party was the best wedding decision I made. She was so helpful and responsive from day 1, answering all my questions and making sure everything ran smoothly day of. I could not have planned my wedding without her. I knew it was going to be beautiful because she cared just as much about my day as I did. Everything was perfect

We had my daughter’s wedding in February of 2020. Myrna from It’s Your Party was the event planner. She was a big help with the planning and management. She helped me with the decor and made sure that everything was amazing!!! I was so happy to work with a true professional planner, as I was able to relax and enjoy my daughter’s wedding!

Jarrod and I would like to send a enormous thank you for making our day a dream come true. I had envision this day since I was a little girl and to finally to have my grand day and have all my dreams come true is spectacular. Our friends and family can't stop talking about how beautiful and well executed the wedding was put together. Our guests were so astonish with how the floral and decoration look so exquisite, the music was warm and heart pumping, and the food and service was impeccable. Many of my guests were also flabbergast of how beautiful our engagement photos looked. Our wedding was so beautiful. I was told it should have been featured in a magazine or on TV show. Guests unable to sop raving about our wedding, funny enough Jarrod too couldn't stop talking about our wedding on our honeymoon LOL. He was so impress of the organization and details that went into planning the wedding that he could not stop thanking my mother and I for putting so much time and energy into working with you all to make our wedding so memorable.

Once again we are sincerely thankful for having such a great team to work with on our special day. This day is not only a day for us to remember but also a day we were bless to have worked with such a wonderful group of people.

Words cannot express my graditude to Myrna who planned and created my dream wedding. The evening would not have come together without her. I was skeptical at first about hiring a "wedding planner" because I thought I could do it myself...but I was wrong. Myrna has every detailed covered down to the napkins for the reception. She is very thorough and accountable. She made the planning process easy and stress free and very flexible given my crazy work schedule. Myrna is hands down the best and I highly recommend her. If you don't want to be stressed about your wedding, which I know sounds taboo, Myrna will make it happen!!

Myrna, from It's Your Party, was the planner for my "Quincenera" 16 years ago. I was lucky enough to find her again for my wedding! As I had remembered, Myrna was very easy to work with and makes an effort to have all your requests and wishes come true. She's a planner that listens to you, is efficient, a perfectionist, flexible with meetings, and simply gets the job done exactly how YOU would have wished. Knowing that she was involved really helped to take the stress away. I'm living in Austin, Texas and was planning a wedding in South Florida where I grew up; being out an out-of-town bride never got in the way. My advice to brides is that you only get married once, so have someone awesome and someone who really cares, plan your wedding! Myrna is the BEST!! So understanding and patient with all of my neurosis/anxiety prior to the big day! I am based in NY and planning the wedding with her in FL made everything run so smoothly and glitch free. We communicated almost daily for 4 months and was always there quickly to answer any question I may have had, She executed all of my ideas flawlessly and brought some great vendors along with her, couldn't have done it without her and am eternally grateful. Highly recommend Myrna to plan any event you maybe having!

Words can't begin to express how wonderful everything was at my wedding a couple of weeks ago!! The planning process was so smooth and every question, phone call, email and text was answered quickly and so kindly.
The venue was more beautiful than I had ever even considered it could be!!! I truly couldn't have dreamt of something better. There were no hiccups and no request went unanswered!!! Everyone kept telling me how great everything was and how much fun they had!!!! I am forever in gratitude to Myrna for all her help, she truly made the night epic and unforgettable!!!!!!!!

When I found Myrna I was lost didn't know what to do and where to go. She was for me my left and right arm. Gave me direction on everything all the time and heard me when I needed to cry. Planning your big day its so stressful and if you think nothing else will go wrong, believe me it will, but Myrna made it easier and helped me like my best friend. Finding a wedding planner that fits your needs and match with your personality it's very important, to me Myrna was that person. She was there for me from the beginning to the end. I would do it all over again, with her help of course lol.

Having her there at the wedding made me relax because she could, and did, resolve any issues so I did not have to.

A lot of value for the price and worth every penny!

Thank you so much Myrna for giving us what we need on our big day.

Myrna and her team helped us create a beautiful wedding. Every detail was planned based on my style and what I visioned my dream wedding day to be. My planner helped me along the way From the very beginning, choosing invitations, overlays, flower arrangements, transportation service, Dj, anything you could need for your wedding (and believe me, there are so many things, you will be like "oh I didn't think of that"). She even got us better prices on many vendor services as well. One of the most important things, she created the "day of timeline".. She created it, coordinated with all vendors, and made our day stress free and flawless. If you are wondering if you should get a planner or not, just do it! You will be glad you did.

I have to give kudos to Myrna!!!! From helping with invitations to the wedding, everything was beautiful. She went above and beyond what I expected. I just got married a couple of weeks ago at The Cruz Building in Coconut Grove, and I had the wedding of my dreams! It honestly would NOT have been possible if it was not for Myrna! She helped bring my vision to life and was able to put together a wedding that went far beyond my expectations.

All her vendors were amazing; top notch quality work from every single one of them. Myrna, herself, was such a pleasure to work with as well. She is very organized, understanding and easy to talk to, and she is so easy to reach. If I ever had a concern, I was able to either email her or give her a call and got a response from her right away.

The day of was perfect! It went smoothly with no mess ups, thanks to her guidance. Food, flowers, and music were spectacular! All my guests couldn't stop telling me afterwards that it had been the best wedding they've ever been to.

I am so so so so forever grateful and blessed to have had Myrna as my wedding planner and would highly recommend her to anyone in a heart beat!

Myrna was AMAZING!!! I never would have been able to have such a beautiful, successful event if she had not been involved. Myrna provided her years of expertise from beginning to end, coaching my husband and I on the things we needed to think about and decide upon in order to have the best wedding possible. Myrna also helped us negotiate all of our contracts and made certain that we got an AMAZING deal with all the vendors we hired. Even though I was a bit confused on the look and feel that I wanted for the event, Myrna was able to take all of my disparate thoughts and execute a BEAUTIFUL event. People can't stop raving about the "best wedding they ever attended!" I would never plan another event without Myrna's guidance and help. Best wedding planner ever! Thank you, Myrna!

It's Your Party Events was by far the best decision we made planning our wedding. Myrna was so helpful with everything, and she took the event far beyond anything we could have imagined. Everything was perfect, and we could never have had half the wedding without Myrna and her expert team of vendors. July 6 was my granddaughter's wedding and it was perfection from start to finish. I had comments from guests who said there was not one thing they would have changed. Everything went so well. It's Your Party was a lifesaver because the venue did not allow us to begin set up until a couple hours before. Myrna and her assistant took care of the entire set up. Everything was perfect. We could not have had such a fun, lovely, and on time event without all of Myrna's hard work. We highly recommend her.

Flying over seas to plan my son's wedding in a city I never lived in was not usual or an easy task. Myrna Swire made it for me familiar, easy and smooth. She understood what is needed to make true what I imagined my son's wedding would be. She guided me through every single detail which lifted the wedding to its great joyful and elegant night... "It's Your Party" team and particularly Myrna put on a beautiful wedding from beginning to end it was perfect at the Boca Raton Resort. Myrna was especially accommodating and extremely timely in planning as it came down to the wire - she was also an absolute cheer at the event itself. Very professional and highly recommended I can almost say Myrna had a third ear she was beyond responsive to every detail from several parties involved!!

I had the best experience with Myrna Swire from Its Your Party and would highly recommend her as she went above and beyond to make our wedding day amazing! If you are questioning getting a wedding planner my advice to you is definitely get one. I wasn’t sure if I “needed” one when I got engaged but I am so happy I choose to go with Myrna! Remember this is one of the biggest days of your life. You don’t want to have a vendor who doesn’t show up, major crisis for you to deal with, etc. (I have heard lot’s of wedding had horror stories). You will want to relax and enjoy every second of the day because it goes by so fast. Myrna made my wedding day everything I ever wanted and more! She helped me every step of the way including choosing a venue, wording my invitations, proving vendor options and booking them. Every vendor Myrna recommended was amazing. However, most importantly she made sure the day went by smoothly so I didn’t have to worry about anything but having fun. We have had many guest tell us our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to. I will absolutely use Its Your Party for any big events I do in the future.

Myrna is a very hard working and talented professional planner. Myrna literally held my hand throughout the planning process of my daughter's bat mitzvah. As this was my first large scale/large budget event, Myrna was extremely patient and understanding. She "gets it" and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her and LOVED the Party.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about It's Your Party Events. Myrna went above and beyond to insure us our perfect wedding...and I truly mean, perfect! I cannot imagine having going through this wonderful journey without her. Her professionalism, enthusiasm, creativity, understanding, patience, and passion for what she does really makes her a very special person. Furthermore, she is so well connected in this industry, and put me in touch with the most amazing vendors. It was such a pleasure to work with everyone on the team that she put together for us. I was actually sad to say goodbye to everyone once it was over, and want to plan another event just so I can work with her again!!! You can just tell she loves what she does, and will go above and beyond for her clients. I never even stressed once about our wedding day, because I knew I had Myrna in my corner. Hi,
I am from the NJ/NY area and I was planning a beach wedding in 3 months. I met Myrna Swire and she was wonderful. She helped me plan everything from food, music, flowers, photographer, guest gifts, invitations, linens, tables, chairs, the wedding cake, a makeup artist and person to do my hair. We had to change our wedding date several times and Myrna was calm and flexiable each time. We even had a problem with the clergy we had hired on our own three times and a few days before Myrna found someone she knew personally to conduct our wedding. Myrna Swire emailed me daily with up dates on everything going on so I knew exactly what was happening each day. Myrna is extremely knowledgable and she goes out of her way to help you plan whatever you are looking for to have a special day. I highly recommend her to everyone as we would not have been able to have such a beautiful day without her support and knowledge. She is truly a FANTASTIC party planner.

Myrna is an amazing wedding planner. She works well under pressure and made me feel like everything would be fine, and it was. She made my wedding exceed my expectations. The finished product of 'Its Your Party' resulted in a marvelous wedding which captivated guests and created the most wonderful memories for the bride and groom. Myrna was very patient and extremely reliable. She is smart and was extremely organized. Without her assistance we would not have been able to make our event as special as it was She was on top of everything & made things so much easier for us (My wife and I both work). We would highly recommend her for anyone planning a wedding planning a wedding - which can of course be a huge undertaking - you need professional expertise and Myrna is by far one of the best wedding planners in South Florida.

Myrna Swire with "Its Your Party Events" was the best thing we could have done for our wedding. She was incredibly friendly, organized, and left no stone unturned. She knew all the little details that would have fallen thru the cracks had we not had her. Not only was she a good planner, but her interior design experience really sets her a part as a full service event planner. She made sure to establish a relationship with all of our other vendors so that everyone was on the same page, and all of them told me what a pleasure it was to work with her. She was well worth the money, and personally, I think we under paid her for everything she did for us. I know she had plenty of other events going on, but she made us feel like we were her first priority (as i'm sure all of her other clients felt). There is no doubt that our wedding would have been as perfect as it was without her!

Myrna @ It's your Party Events was incredible! It is 3 months later and people are still raving about our wedding. Her hep made our special day worry and hassel free for not only myself and my groom, but my family and attendants as well. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves instead of worrying over details. We would definelty use Myrna again, for an anniversary party of course!

I wouldn't trade Myrna Swire and It's Your Party for another vendor for any price. If I ever have an event out of state I believe I'd be paying some extra air fair! Myrna did a Bat and then a Bar-Mitzvah for me that were both equally spectacular and then she even topped herself with an over the top exquisite wedding. She handled every detail, listened to my input and helped me budget. Its Your Party will help make any party better than your expectations...A1 Class act!

Wonderful planner

My son recently got married in Boca Raton at the Addison. Myrna and her team helped us to hire all our vendors and they were All amazing. Everyone had a great time and the wedding was perfect! I have to thank It’s Your Party for all their hard work which Allowed us all to relax and enjoy the day.

Exceeded my expectations

Myrna is very professional and knows very well what she is doing. My fiance and I where planning something “chill and relaxed”, kindof boho/farmstyle/rustic, because we wanted to stay in a budget knowing that things can get pretty expensive in South Florida. Neither of us grew up here and we didn’t know where to start, so we decided that hiring a wedding planner was best. When we met with Myrna, I showed her my Pinterest board and it was filled with expensive ideas, slightly more elegant and romantic, since in Latin America you can get a very fancy wedding for wayyy less than in here and that’s what I grew up surrounded with. Myrna knew all the right vendors and every one she introduced us with was perfect for our budget and the quality was top notch (we did go a little over budget but not too much, and I’m sure this happens to everyone). I think we bumped heads a couple of times, perhaps some cultural differences and the fact that I like being in control of everything and have a hard time letting go. But the end result was great and we had an event that looked way more expensive than what we actually ended up paying for, it was elegant, service was excellent all guests were amazed, music was fun, the decoration was so beautiful, flowers were perfect, the venue was incredible and their food was so delicious... I honestly had the wedding of my dreams and all of our guests had something good to say about it the whole time and after we’ve met again with some of them they all kept remembering and pointing out again how nice every little detail was... and to think that I was about to settle for something less before I met Myrna. Myrna has great contacts and can get you pretty good deals because of her long term relationships with the vendors that for sure will make the investment for her services worth it. If you trust her experience and let her take over I’m sure she will get you exactly what you dream of.

My husband and I live in the Netherlands and decided to get married in Florida. We needed a wedding planner for this and after talking to a few, we decided to go with Myrna. It was easy talking with Myrna. She understood what we wanted and instantly knew the right people/vendors for us. Whenever it was needed we had skype conversations and for smaller things we discussed via email. Since we did not know what was customary in the US, she helped us out when needed. She made our lives easier by being our contact person in the US and discussing with vendors. She helped us to keep to our budget and came with creative solutions when needed.
We finally met her in person when we were in Florida, a week before the wedding, which was very pleasant. She planned a day that we could meet all the vendors and discussed the final details for the wedding. We wanted to have a small rehearsal and she helped us with this so we felt more confident on the day itself.
All in all, we really enjoyed working with Myrna and I would definitely recommend her!

I do not recommend this wedding planner

It really is quite shocking to see all the positive reviews on Myrna as my husband and I truly regret hiring her as our full service wedding planner for our wedding on November 2019. In fact, like many other bride-to-be’s, the positive reviews are what initially led us to her. Initially, we felt quite confident in her ability to plan our 300-guest wedding as she is great at verbally selling her services and expertise. Over time, her started becoming clear including her lack of attention to detail, her lack of initiative and her lack of ability to adapt. In the wedding planning process, we constantly had to remind her about previous conversations and details (that were already discussed). We constantly had to remind her that we had a budget and that we needed to make an effort to negotiate prices. We often had to ask for more vendor options, or additional quotes (she has her preferred vendors, and does not recommend anyone outside). She often did not contact us or communicate with us unless we reached out to her. How are we supposed to know what to do or what to ask for? That is precisely what wedding planners are for. She has a very laissez-faire attitude which is quite surprising for a wedding planner. The groom and I felt as though we had no other option but to try and micromanage her because we didn’t want her to forget or miss details which would result in things not being accounted for. I found myself often revisiting wedding planning websites, checklists and guides hoping to have what I needed (to essentially plan my own wedding) because I did not feel like I was getting support from her.

We really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that she would pull through for us on the actual wedding day (as she promised us that she would) and I continued to be optimistic for the sake of peace of mind. On the days leading up to the wedding itself (when her involvement was absolutely crucial), we started realizing the effects of her sloppy organizational skills as things were falling apart. For example, we did not even have our designed wedding cake on our wedding day! (Luckily, the venue happened to have a cake in the back that they quickly brought into our ballroom for us to cut). For most of the day, she was missing in action and the groom and I had to scramble to answer questions from the church coordinator, DJ, etc as she was nowhere to be found. We spent so much time arranging a day-of-timeline and a detailed outline of our evening reception. Interestingly enough, the only things that went AS planned during the evening reception were from the vendors that we found on our own (not through her). She also left early from the reception and if she actually stayed, she would’ve realized that as we neared the activities at the end of the reception, the DJ went straight into the final dancing without giving us an opportunity to say a thank you speech. We didn’t even get a chance to thank our guests for coming! Many vendors expressed their concerns and frustration to us regarding her presence or lack thereof on the day of the event.

I normally am not one to write reviews, in fact this is the first review I have ever written on a product or service that was provided to me. I genuinely felt let down and I am also not someone that has very high expectations or is unreasonable. But for any bride, this is supposed to be the biggest day of their life. To be completely honest, I was deliberating whether or not to leave a review. Then I thought about other brides who may be in the midst of planning their weddings and who might land on her company “It’s Your Party Events” and then I thought to myself that if I could save a fellow bride from an absolutely disappointing day, of course I would. I owe it to them and to my conscience. Perhaps they may see this review and reconsider. Nearly four months later, I still think about how much better the day could have been if we had the help of a true wedding planner by our side. Feel free to contact me if you want more details.

After reading the great reviews, we booked Myrna about 3 months out from our wedding hoping to get some help with last minute details and bringing everything together. However, what we experienced was FAR from what we had expected. Our first meeting with Myrna was wonderful, she was attentive and very professional so we decided to go with her and mailed her a check the following day (Friday). On Monday we got in touch with her to see if the check had arrived (we live in the same city), it had not... Tuesday passed and we hadn't heard anything, Wednesday the check was still not there. On Thursday morning we checked our bank account and the check had been deposited on Tuesday... unprofessional start but we decided to overlook it, since she said it was her assistant's mistake. After this we scheduled another meeting with her to go over what our concept and what we still needed help with, but she had to cancel it, so we scheduled for the following day. She was not as attentive as she had been in the first meeting and didn't seem to be listening to anything we were saying. When I would ask her for ideas on things (the guest book, favors, programs, etc.) she would tell me to go look it up on Pintrest.... uhm Why did I book a wedding planner then? She did help us find and book a photobooth, which I am grateful for, but even that, I had to double check her work because she almost booked us the wrong booth. Later that week we had a meeting at our venue with our coordinator who sat down with me and helped me with everything that Myrna had sent me to Pintrest for and I realized how ridiculous it was to keep paying someone to send me to Pintrest so we terminated her contract after a month. Myrna admitted that she did not give us the attention that she usually does bc she had been dealing with personal issues, but even so she refused to give us part of our deposit of $950 back. I would NOT recommend her as a wedding planner.

Horrible Run Run

Where do I even begin... well after reading these good reviews on Mrs. Myrna, and speaking with her we decided we would go ahead and book her. Not sure what happened but she made me doubt my original plan of having our wedding reception at The Farmers Table in Boca. She said she could try to get us in the Addison (our budget was $11,000) and gave us high hopes. The very next day after booking her she tells me oh nope no can do they’re out of your budget. Great. So then she continues to the Sundy house, took forever to get back with me with a response because the coordinator for there was out. However I received a reply before she did. And found pricing before she did. My guess at this point is she wants to get a cut from said vendors so they up their prices if she goes through contacting them first. Well. This proved to be true after she contacted a photographer by the name of Rays Photography and Video who quoted me $1,250 for pictures but gave her $3,500 pricing “deal” for the same sevices! Amazing... I thought having a wedding planner would be beneficial especially someone whose been in the game as long as Ms. Myrna has. Nope she was contacting vendors off of Wedding Wire too. (Insert face palm)

When we wanted to cancel (about 2 weeks in after seeing her lack of work) Ms. Myrna says she’ll have to check the hours of work she’s put in. Me thinking okay that should be easy as I only had a handful of emails and texts from her. I should at least get half my money back. I was very very wrong. I had my fiancé try to speak with her because I don’t like confrontations and she refused to talk to him and wouldn’t answer calls or reply back to texts. I then messaged and called her but that went unanswered also. When she finally answers she proceeds to become very angry that we no longer want to work with her and calls me names and insults me. All this time I’ve never even raised my voice at Ms. Myrna.

At the end we never got our money back, she basically intimidated us into working with her again. And once again she just falls off the face of the earth. It’s been months and she hasn’t even had the decency to say sorry.

Run run run for the hills. Unless you like being bullied degraded and made a fool of you’ll find some else to plan your stress free day.
