Just do it.

I don't even have words for how great of an experience I had with Rachel. The makeup and hair was gorgeous, and I used to be a professional artist. The vibes were set from the beginning and Rachel just made me feel SO comfortable. She had tons of helpful items (pins, tape, etc), wine, gorgeous accessories, and is clearly a master of lighting. I don't even have my pics back, but just the unretouched images from her camera screen made my jaw drop. She posed me down to the last detail, so I didn't have to worry about if I looked wrong. I will absolutely come back for more and would recommend her to anyone looking - no matter how you feel about your looks, she will SHOW you how beautiful you are. Worth the drive from Chicago any day of the week.

NYE Wedding 2021

Last night I plugged the jpeg of our wedding photos into our large screen TV and put the on slide show. I was AMAZED. Jeff and Rachel truly captured the entire essence of the evening. Amazing. I have to say their work is second to none. I am so incredibly relieved that we hired them. Having these photos tell the story of an evening that was mostly a blur means the world to me. I would recommend Jeff and Rachel to anyone looking for a photographer and hope to work with them again when we renew our nuptials. :-)

Amazing Photographers

I found J.R. Owen at a bridal show. I was drawn to them because they are a husband and wife team and they really seem to care about the weddings that they shoot. We had several meetings before the wedding, locking down the timeline and making sure that all the important people were in the notes.

Rachel and Jeff both bring their own eye to the wedding photography. Jeff keeps things light, fun, and takes a TON of pictures. Rachel focuses on the artistic photos and sets up beautiful shots. BOTH take beautiful photos. It was a pleasure having them both photograph our wedding because we got the best of both worlds.

We got our photos extremely fast and everyone was extremely happy with the results. The other great thing is that Jeff and Rachel want you to be happy with your photos, so if there is a perfect picture but one person's eyes are closed, they are more than happy to fix it.

GREAT photographers. HIRE THEM.

Wedding 4/27/19

we chose J.R. Owen & Co. For our wedding and it was the best decision. Once meeting them and seeing their personalities and what they have to offer we knew they were the best fit for our wedding. My husband and I were very happy with Jeff and Rachel. Jeff was our photographer and we had videography too. They went above and beyond to capture every moment of our day. He even captured moments we forgot happened. They truly care about what they do and making their clients happy. They did such a great job all night you didn't even notice them being there as they didn't get in anyone's way. They are extremely responsive with any questions you have. Jeff was extremely creative with his pictures. Our family and guests couldn't compliment on what an amazing job they did with capturing such gorgeous pictures and an amazing video. They truly exceeded expectations and would recommend them to any bride.

Amazing! Beautiful! Stunning! Spectacular!

These are just some of the words I would use to describe our wedding photos! JR Owens truly are the BEST wedding photographers I have Ever seen. And I have been in, and attended, many, many weddings. What a great husband and wife duo! They compliment each other so well. They were so easy to work with. Jeff’s quirky sense of humor, kept everyone laughing. And kept the mood light.
Rachel’s creativity and beautiful eye for lighting and staging was absolutely terrific. We were So Blessed to be able to have both Jeff and Rachel as our photographers. We got a link to our photos, over 900 of them, right after we returned from our honeymoon. We have circulated the link to our guests and Everyone that has viewed them, has complimented our photographers! Our guests also said, how nice both Rachel and Jeff were. I don’t know how we will be able to narrow down our pictures, as each one is so well done! Luckily Rachel is going to help us with that too! JR Owens really went above and beyond for us! They captured the beauty of the day. They captured the emotion of the day. They were not intrusive, and we are so blessed to have such lovely photos that we will cherish for many years to come! J.R Owen & Co. helped make our wedding memories last forever!

J.R. Owen & Co. are absolute ALL STARS! My wife and I spent many months prior to our wedding meeting with photo & video companies. Something always seemed off; whether it was the people we met with didn't relate to us, personality was off, or was to corporate for our taste. Photo and video were very important to us because well...they will capture the memory of our big day! We finally met Jeff and Rachel and we knew immediately after we met with them that we wanted to work with them. They took us in like family and gave us the reassurance that our memories with be captured and displayed with gorgeous artistic ability. Aside from inspiration from Pinterest, we let Jeff and Rachel have all the creative freedom they wanted, and they did not disappoint. My wife and I have large families, a large wedding party, and many guests attend our wedding. Jeff and Rachel were able to handle all the craziness, capture all the amazing and fun moments of our wedding, and show us highlights from our wonderful day, and we couldn't have been more happier. Amazing photographers and videographer

Would highly recommend them! We had Jeff and mike as our photographers and Jim as our videographer. They made the day so much fun and all our brideal party loved their energy. All the photos they took were amazing and they were really able to capture all the great moments of the day. We couldn’t be more happy with the work they did! Talented doesn't even begin to describe the artistry found in all that J.R. Owens & Company does. For our wedding we wanted a photographer that captured more than photos. We wanted a photographer that captured memories, moments, and emotions and that is exactly what Rachel did for us. Rachel is beyond talented and it shows in her work. Her work is naturally beautiful without the aid of photoshop which was common among other photographers that we saw. That's how we knew J.R. Owens was the photographer for us. Rachel was our lead photographer and captured our Engagement Photos, shot my boudoir photo shoot as a wedding gift for my husband and captured our wedding day. The results of all three events were absolutely stunning. These photos turned out beyond our expectations and because of this, it won't be the last time we use them. Aside from stunning professional photos, communication between us and Rachel and Jeff was seamless. She was quick to respond, honest and offered a lot of advice for day of coordination. She was on time, on point and kept us on schedule. If you are looking for a photographer that will deliver service with quality as well as photos that look like they belong in a magazine, this is the company for you. I even had a hard time picking out photos for the review, there were just too many that we love!

We used Rachel and her team for my daughters wedding. We had 2 photographers and a video. They ALL where OUTSTANDING!!. at the reception they showed slides of some of the photos they took earlier. If this is how all of the photos will be before editing....than I am so excited to see the rest!! They are FABULOUS!!!. Well worth the price. You can find cheaper Photographers but remember you pay for what you get. And this is a memory my daughter will have for life. Rachel you did an AMAZING JOB!!!! Couldn't thank you enough and for doing everything we asked for and than some. You and your team where so much fun to work with and party with!!! Can't say enough GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

We had the pleasure of working with Jeff and Rachel for our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures respectively. Both of them had such an amazing eye for what would look good and using the space around us for absolutely beautiful pictures. We really appreciated how Rachel was able to get all of the family pictures we wanted in a very stress free way so that we could get them done and really start enjoying our day! We chose J.R. Owen and Co. for our Wedding Photography and Videography and it was one of the best decisions that we made in our wedding planning journey. From our first meeting with Jeff and Rachel, we knew that their personal touch and attention to detail were for us. They truly care about their clients and make a great team. Jeff took our engagement photos, making us feel comfortable in the process and we couldn’t have been happier with his fantastic results! His friendly and easy-going demeanor, together with his high level of professionalism are exceptional! Leading up to our wedding day, Jeff was very accommodating and generous with his time, always quick to answer phone calls and e-mails. Jeff also met with us in person prior to our wedding day, giving us a chance to get to know him better, which in turn led to peace of mind by the time our wedding arrived. On the day of the wedding, Jeff and Mike were our photographers and our videographer was Jim. They exceeded our expectations and more! Jeff and Mike had exceptional communication throughout the entire day which led to a wide variety and large quantity of high quality photos. They listened to us and took into account our requests of a mix of traditional and candid photos. We were very specific with special photo must haves and their results were stunning! At the reception, Jeff set up a highlight preview slide show of photos taken during our day which was a special added touch. Jim did a fantastic job with the videography. He captured the entire day and the quality of the video is outstanding. Jim not only put together a wonderful comprehensive wedding video, but he also put together a very nice highlight video for us that included the key events of the day. Jim did an excellent job of recording our live band which was very important to us. We highly recommend J.R. Owen and Co. for your Wedding Photography and Videography!

Rachel and Jeff are absolutely amazing! When we first got engaged we wanted a company that was personal and provided exceptional quality. Rachel and Jeff took the time to get to know us and our wedding style. We spent hours that initial meeting just getting to know each other. After the appointment, my husband and I walked out and didn't even need to have a discussion. We knew right away J.R. Owen and Company was the perfect fit. We actually canceled our other appointments and emailed Rachel that night with our decision. It was the best decision! The day of the wedding Rachel made Michael and I feel so special. At the church we didn't even realize she was there. She is incredible at what she does and her photos are stunning. I am beyond thrilled to have these pictures that we will have for years and years.

Jeff and his associate Michael provided the photographs for our daughter 's wedding September 2017. They were extraordinary. Rachel and Jeff are accommodating and flexible in that they will give you what you ask for and MORE. My husband and I did not have our reception at a wedding venue but we still wanted some pictures outside with beautiful background scenery. Rachel suggested meeting at two different locations on the day of our reception so that we could get pictures with our loved ones at our reception, but also have some pictures of my husband, daughter, and I in a more picture perfect location too. Rachel has a good eye and got beautiful, candid shots quickly so that we could get back to our party as fast as possible! She did a wonderful job editing our photos before getting them back to us as well. Rachel and Jeff are really great about responding to emails and phone calls/texts in a timely manner. They are professional but also made us feel comfortable and cared for throughout the process.

We first met with Rachel & Jeff based on recommendation from multiple family members who had used them for their weddings. Upon meeting with them for the first time, we cancelled all other appointments because we knew they would be perfect to shoot our big day! Rachel & Jeff are extremely personable and so much fun to work with. We used them for an engagement shoot as well as on the wedding day. Both sets of photos are AMAZING! We love how they all turned out. There is a perfect combination of posed and candid pics, as we had discussed when meeting prior to the wedding. On top of that, the turn around time for receiving the wedding photos was so fast! All of our pictures were given to us in under 3 weeks. They even put together a group of highlights that include the best shots. Also, we are so happy that we opted for the photobooth. It is an open booth so everyone is able to see how people are posing, which adds a lot to the fun/hilarity of it. Many of our guests have commented how much they enjoyed it. We even have 1 photobooth pic that has 16 people in it! Overall, choosing JR Owen & Co. was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in all of our planning. We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a photography company that is friendly, professional, and knows how to capture and create beautiful moments on their wedding day.

We had Rachel as our photographer for our wedding and she did an absolutely amazing job, I couldn't have asked for anyone better. The main reason we picked her was because she made me feel comfortable from the first meeting. I received compliments all nights from guests about how much they liked her and my bridal party absolutely loved her. She had such great ideas for photos and you could tell she knew what she was doing. My aunt said it the best - Rachel didn't just take photos she captured moments. We received all of our photos super quick after our wedding too! I would highly recommend!

We loved working with Rachel and Jeff. Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable for the wonderful quality of work they provide. The pictures are amazing and we are looking forward to getting our wedding album that Rachel is designing for us. Bridget did my son's wedding on Saturday, August 13, 2016. I can't say enough about her. She did an outstanding job and was very fun to work with. She arrived on time with her assistant. We nicknamed her Bond Girl by the end of the night. The Bride & Groom already have their proofs and they are amazing. Bond Girl to so many great pictures.

Jeff did my wedding this weekend and the pictures were just amazing! He captured all our special moments and they were just breathtaking photos! It was so awesome to be able to even see some of our photos on a TV at our reception! Our guests are still talking about how awesome that was! I can't find enough words to say how wonderful Jeff was and how amazing his photos turned out! I loved working with Jeff he gave us personal one-on-one attention every time we talked! Jeff and Rachel are out of this world. My husband and I interviewed lots of photography places and they blew everyone out of the water! We loved actually getting to meet with our photographer before our wedding day and were even more impressed that they could tell us what types of cameras they used and why ( believe it or not others could not because you didn't get to speak with the actual photographer) Both Jeff and Rachel were so personable which made for a very pleasant experience each contact that was made. The engagement session was so fun and Rachel knew just where to go for perfect pictures. As far as the wedding day Jeff and Rachel's team work was incredible! They clearly knew exactly what would make the best shots and made sure to capture each one without making anyone feel like they were "in the spot light". My husband and I can not speak highly enough of them and would encourage everyone to use them. You will not regret your choice. Rachel did an amazing job for our wedding photos. When we first started to look for vendors, Rachel was our first stop and then we cancelled all other appointments after we met her. We felt very comfortable with her and her style and knew she would fit into our wedding day with friends and family perfect. Rachel helped us to plan out the schedule for the day of the wedding and suggested the perfect locations for our 'first look'. I would never have thought to go to the location she suggested but the pictures are beautiful and I absolutely love them. On the day of the wedding, we ran head of schedule all day, thanks to the detailed schedule that Rachel helped us to create, which allowed us to have an enjoyable and stress-free day. On the day of the wedding, Rachel arrived a few minutes early, so all her setup was ready to go exactly on time. She gave us valuable posing tips which all my family and friends still comment about today (it really works!) She was very easy going and got some amazing shots. People have given us many compliments not only on how beautiful our photos are, but also how nice she was. We talked to her before the wedding about the type of photos we did and didn't want from our wedding and she hit it spot on. When you have a vendor that will be working with all your favorite people in the world, you want a vendor who will fit in with the crowd, be professional and will overall be nice. She's even helping us out to fix up a few photos where we need some photoshop magic to correct photos we forgot to take. Working with Rachel was such an easy and pleasant process and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I would highly recommend Rachel and ImageIcon!!

Image Icon Photography was recommended to us through our wedding venue and I could not be happier we chose them to capture our special day. Rachel and Jeff have great personalities- they were so easy to talk to and receptive to our vision and ideas for specific photos. They were professional in their work throughout the entire process, yet remained personal with my husband and I. Within an hour they knew the names of our entire bridal party and made the whole group feel comfortable in each photo setting.
What separates them from other photographers was having both photographers all day for the price of what most companies would charge for one. While Jeff was off with the groomsmen Rachel was with the bridesmaids and I to capture each party getting ready before our “first look.” One of the highlights was having the photos from the first look displayed on a large screen during our reception for all to see. In all of the weddings I have attended there is not a single company I can recall who did this for the bride, groom and those who could not be there to view. We received many compliments from our guests on this aspect and it was so special for my husband and I to see that moment unfold within hours of it happening.
While we never doubted their talent and creativity, I was truly blown away when I got to see the 1,000+ photos they took throughout the day. Both the posed and action shots turned out beautifully and captured each special moment. The design they created for our album is exactly what I had hoped for and I think it’s great we have the flexibility to adapt it to choose our favorite shots. I cannot wait to see the finished product in a few weeks as I trust it will be perfect!

Rachel & Jeff are amazing photographers!

From the moment I met Rachel, I knew my daughter would love working with her. My daughter and her fiancé live in NYC and met Rachel via a SKYPE conversation and agreed Rachel was the photographer they were looking for!

Not only is Rachel easy to work with, we were most fortunate to have Jeff as our 2nd photographer and he was wonderful, as well. They were both very professional and seemed to love what they were doing, especially working together!

Jeff captured all the important family photos inside church after mass, even though we only had a short time in which to do so. He handled the situation calmly and very professionally. He was able to organize and photograph our large families within the allotted time! This was very impressive and the pictures are great!

The creativity of Rachel and Jeff was very evident in the amazing photos they took at an outdoor location very special to my daughter. Some of the most gorgeous photos I have ever seen on a picture perfect day in April!

Our guests loved the Photo Booth, provided through ImageIcon. It was so much fun to look through the album and read all the special messages left for the bride and groom!

The slideshow of photos taken earlier in the day was also a huge hit with our family and guests, viewing at the reception.

You only get one shot to capture all the special moments of your wedding day and I highly recommend ImageIcon, Rachel and Jeff!

Rachel and Jeff were absolutely fantastic! Not only did we have a phenomenal time with them, we couldn't be more pleased with how our pictures turned out. They were professional and appropriate, but they also made sure we all had a good time, even our grandparents!

Rachel did our engagement pictures, and despite a vicious mosquito attack, they came out absolutely beautifully. We were thrilled to find that we would have both Jeff and Rachel as our wedding photographers!

Rachel was my wedding photographer for my 7-19-14 wedding and I must say she did a fabulous job! I spent days trying to find the perfect photographer because I love pictures and wedding pictures are of course the most important ever. Rachel was just wonderful from day 1. She is very calming, professional and fast. Her pictures are romantic and she an eye for what pictures will be the most flattering. She is also very nice and incredibly patient. Jeff was fantastic! I knew I wanted him the minute I got engaged. He was the photographer for my brothers wedding 4 years ago and I was so excited to find him!

He did a great job on our engagement photos and was very flexible with some changes in our schedules.

Rachel and Jeff are remarkable! Image Icon's pretty business card (it has a rhinestone on it and was super sparkly - aka my style) was handed to me at the Downers Grove Wedding Walk. Someone recommended them to to me and I will forever be thankful. My goal is to write this review and not cry - but I am already starting to tear up! Rachel did our engagement photos, my boudoir photos (for the book I gave to my husband on our wedding day) and our wedding photos. We were BLOWN away at our engagement photos...they were so romantic, so beautiful and that shoot with her that day - I felt like I was in a fairytale. She is so great at what she does. She will say - ok go over there and look at each other, laugh, talk, walk - anything and BAM - she gets the perfect pic in only a few shots. I remember being like - is she sure she got it already? I mean we just started walking. haha But YES, she did. Her work will seriously move you. The Boudoir photos are so stunning too. That was such a fun experience. She had a hair and makeup artist that was amazing and so many lovely backgrounds. My husband loved the book! The wedding photos? UNBELIEVABLE. Prettier than I truly could have ever imagined (yep here come more tears). I knew after the previous shoots with her that she was the perfect photographer for our special day. She has the calmest personality and it just is so soothing on such a crazy, fast paced day. She is so friendly and just so so so sweet. Always 1000% professional too. Jeff also shot our wedding that day as well. I hadn't worked with him prior, but I knew if he was Rachel's partner, he would be spot on as well - and he was. Very professional and very energetic. Had us moving along nicely to capture all the photos in between the ceremony and reception that we wanted. He was very friendly and silly, but still always on point and his work was incredible as well. They are one powerful team and I could not recommend them more!!

Working with Rachel at ImageIcon was a great experience. We were referred to Rachel through a friend who used her for their wedding a couple years ago. From the beginning we fell in love with Rachel's work. She has a keen eye for those "must have" shots and she is very accommodating with any request we had.
The day of our wedding it rained but we were still able to get great pictures and you couldn't even tell that it was rainy. She had great ideas for poses and made sure that we were able to get the important people in shots.
She was also very helpful when I asked her how the timeline for the day should go. We had all the hair and make up done on time and there was never a time when we were rushed. Without her guidance, I think we may have been behind schedule.
We decided to purchase and album through Rachel and her design style is great, she picked many of the photos in the album that are on our must have list. Obviously we have final say in the album but there were maybe one or two things we wanted to change so it is nice to see that we are on the same page.
I can't say enough about her assistant Rob. He was completely professional during the day/night and also had fantastic ideas for poses and pictures. Together they truly captured the mood of the day and all of the emotions that were going on. I am so happy that they caught the image of my husband seeing me for the first time walking down the aisle - the photos are priceless. Additionally, the first look with my father was something that I can always cherish. WE definitely got our money's worth and would refer her to anyone looking for great photographers. Being married herself, she truly understands how important every picture of the day is. Thanks Rachel & Rob for making our wedding so memorable.

Let me start by saying, like other couples, getting beautiful wedding pictures was the most important thing about the wedding day to us (besides the vows and seeing family of course!). I had booked a photographer with another company long in advance of our wedding, but my worst nightmare came true when 3 weeks before the wedding date our photographer backed out on us to take a higher paying gig. All of us were frantically searching for a replacement when my now mother-in-law found Rachel Owen at ImageIcon. She just happened to be available on our wedding day, which is a miracle because they are normally all booked up on weekends, especially in the summer. We spoke on the phone and I knew it would be a perfect fit. Everything went smoothly and stress free on our wedding day. We asked Rachel to help us pick a couple additional locations for a photoshoot in the city to the ones we had in mind before the ceremony and she knew exactly where to go for the kinds of pictures we were looking for. The best part is that the photographer who dumped is actually did us a favor because we got a way better photographer and we didn't have to spend a whole lot more either. Our pictures turned out amazing. We have gotten tons of complements on them and everyone wants to know who our photographer was. We are so happy with how everything worked out. We just received our photographs & we’re overjoyed with our choice in ImageIcon! From the start, you can tell that Jeff Owen is experienced & passionate. But with all his talent, he still finds ways to listen to you & ensure that the photography you receive is what YOU want. When we had difficulty finding a place to take our pictures, Jeff was able to not only recommend a few locations, but he also called & ensured that no other events were taking place at the same time. Through all our preparation for the wedding, Jeff was very accommodating to our schedule, friendly every time we met, & delivered on every request we had made. All other vendors at our Wedding commented on how nice he was and how much of a pleasure it was to work with him. At certain points of the wedding, I remember Jeff assisting me with organizing items that weren’t even related to photography…which is just another reason I hold a high level of appreciation for him.

As for the pictures, they are absolutely beautiful! There are several pictures that seemed liked they belong in a magazine & can’t possibly be from our wedding! Jeff is creative & original, & his timing on when to snap the pictures was flawless! He also photographed every detail of the Wedding, as to assist in always remembering every little piece that went into creating our day. My family has already said that they’ve recommended ImageIcon to friends, just based on seeing a dozen pictures & having the pleasure to meet Jeff! For others, they commented on how well he blended into the crowd & did not seem intrusive into the wedding (as if they didn’t even realize he was there). In this once in a lifetime event, I am so thankful that we chose ImageIcon to be at our Wedding. I don't even know where to start- I feel like I could write 10 pages about how wonderful Rachel Owen is! Photography was the most important part of my wedding for me- memories last a lifetime, and I wanted to make sure every aspect of our day was captured beautifully. Rachel EXCEEDED our expectations, and I have, and will continue to recommend her to everyone I know, for the rest of my life. I plan on using her for all my photography needs in the future, too! It was a blessing I went to the Lemont wedding walk and met her. I still thank God I had the best photographer in the world for my wedding! We found Rachel while at our wedding tasting. I'm so glad we did because I don't think our paths would of crossed otherwise. After viewing her work I set up an appointment to sit down and discuss options. Within minutes of our first meeting I knew she was the photographer for our wedding day. She understood how I envisioned our wedding day being told. In the day of our wedding she was great! We had some problems come up and she was able to keep the mood up and even kept us on time. During our reception out guests were able to preview all the pre ceremony pictures the wedding party had taken and I was so happy with the results. You can't go wrong with Rachel!

Rachel Own from ImageIcon is amazing. She is very fun, creative, organized, and has a very calm demeanor. She is great to work with. We immediately liked her. Our wedding photos turned out AMAZING. I mean, really, they are so artistic, beautiful, classy and she did a great job capturing all of the "little details" of the day (centerpieces, getting ready for the ceremony, rings, etc.) in just the perfect way.

Our wedding was considered "off-peak-season", so we were able to just get the photo package and not have to purchase the wedding album. The wedding albums she has available to preview in her studio are very nice, but it's not something that we were interested in buying, since we didn't think we would look at it as often as a picture frame on the wall. So it was really nice being able to book Rachel for our wedding day.

She had an assistant (Rob) with her on our wedding day. They worked well together and I had full confidence all day long that things were being handled properly.

Rachel did something that was really amazing, she went well above and beyond with this: She set up a TV and projected pictures from the day (ceremony, parks, wedding party, etc.) on the screen during the reception after dinner. I cannot tell you how many people commented on how great it was to see those picture. Especially since after the ceremony, you take off with the bridal party and everyone is out of the loop. Not when Rachel is your photographer! Everyone got to see what happened during the day while they were killing time between the ceremony and reception. She did such a great job with this.

I would recommend Rachel and ImageIcon in a heartbeat. There’s a reason ImageIcon is so highly rated. It’s a top notch company with very creative and very skilled photographers. We’re looking forward to using Rachel and ImageIcon again in the future because our experience was that good!

While planning our wedding, my (now) husband and I knew that our photographer would be one of the most important vendors we would hire. We wanted someone who would capture our day without interfering in it. We wanted someone who was professional, knowledgeable, creative, flexible, and most importantly, understood the importance of what this day meant to us. We didn’t want the traditional photographer who would put us in corny poses with fake smiles – we wanted someone who would capture those candid moments in a beautiful way. After we met Rachel of ImageIcon, our quest for a photographer who met all of our needs was over. From our first encounter with her, Rachel proved to be professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Her passion for helping her clients capture their most important life events was evident in her work.

As for the day of our wedding, we could not have been happier with not only Rachel, but her assistant, Dan. They were incredibly easy to work with – giving us suggestions and direction when needed, but letting our natural chemistry play out. They also provided a sneak peek slideshow for us at the reception, and our full set of edited pictures a week after we got back from our honeymoon! We knew our pictures from the wedding would be beautiful; however, when we went through them all, we were blown away, they are beautiful!

From the time we hired Rachel, to the wedding, and even after; Rachel provided continued and timely communication (responding to emails within 24 hours, walked us through what the wedding day would be like, made suggestions about places to take pictures and poses, and much more). She answered every question I had, and made us feel so comfortable that our day would go smoothly (which, thanks to Rachel’s help, it did). I am so happy we found Rachel, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a true professional photographer.

Where to begin!? From the very beginning I had nothing but positive vibes from Rachel. My husband and I had met with a few of the big name companies like George Street and Fred Fox and I just felt like something was missing from them... when I met with Rachel we immediately clicked and I knew she was going to do a great job! She was so enthusiastic about what she does.... I can truly tell it is her passion and she was born to do this! We took engagement photos first last October. Rachel recommended Kinzie street bridge. I wasn't so sure about it but I trusted her and I am so glad I did! Those pictures turned out better than I imagined they would. We even were able to create a really unique save the date with one of the pictures she took. I knew after seeing those pictures I had made the right choice! Rachel was always quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the process. About a week before the wedding we got together to discuss the logistics of the wedding day. Rachel was very flexible with our schedule that had already been put together by our wedding coordinator. She was also able to help us decide on some AMAZING spots for photos. And the reason I really liked her spots for photos is because they aren't "typical" chicago photos. They are so unique! Rachel captured every emotion that I felt on my wedding day. Looking back at the pictures, I laughed and cried. I can never thank her enough for providing us and our family with these memories for the rest of our lives. Rachel was amazing. She did our engagement photos and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier. Being in the Wedding business myself, it was important to find someone who really loved their work and put all of their time and dedication into making our special day as memorable as possible. When I first started researching photographers for our wedding, I was extremely overwhelmed. Rachel was the photographer for a friend of mine’s wedding and I fell in love with the pictures right away. Not only is she tremendously talented, she is so patient and nice and really listens to what you have to say. I consider myself a very picky person, but Rachel met all of my needs and wants. She is a very down-to-earth person and takes the time to get to know you. I never felt like “just another client”. We only had a set amount of time to get pictures done between the ceremony and reception, and Rachel was wonderful at keeping things moving. She was very efficient and methodical. She knew which shots she wanted to capture and what needed to be done to bring out the best in each location. I would highly recommend choosing Image Icon! Rachel was a pleasure to work with and we were very happy to have her capture our day.

Our wedding was February 11, 2012 and we were searching and searching for a great compnay that made us feel confortable. Rachel and Jeff were amazing. Everytime I would email/ text them they would get back to very quiick. When we went to meet them, we fell in love with their work. They know how to capture all the right things that we were looking for. At our wedding they made me feel like they had everything cover and that day is hectic so not having to worry about if the are getting what I want and the right shots was a wonderful feeling. When Rachel told me that she had the album all together I was so excited! I went to her store and I was amazed!! Everything that I wasnted was in my album. ImageIcon is a wonderful company with the best people I have ever met. I used them for my weddding and I cant wait to plan to have our picture taken with our dogs outside it will be amazing as well. You better believe I will use them for when I have my children!! Rachel and Jeff thank you so much for making my day go smoothly with knowing what I wanted and being there for us when things were hectic. You guys are amazing people and I could say have a great eye for captuing the moments that really count. Thank you guys so much!

Rachel and her assistant Dan did the most wonderful job of capturing our special day. There are so many great pictures to pick from! Rachel took wonderful pictures of every little detail, from getting ready at my parents' house to our ceremony. There are so many fun pictures of our reception, but mine and my husband's favorites are those that were taken at the beach off of Fullerton Avenue in downtown Chicago. The pictures of my husband and I are stunning...we have had so many compliments on them. We took pictures in Lincoln Park as well by a variety of sculptures and within tunnels. All of our pictures are fantastic and we couldn't have been any happier with choosing Rachel as our wedding photographer! Thank you so much!

Rachel is phenomenal! She got great shots, and quickly, too, which was awesome because it was an excruciatingly hot day! You hardly knew she was there, but when it was necessary for her to have our attention she gave clear directions and worked very efficiently. To our surprise, she even had a little slide show of our pictures by the time of our reception was happening just hours later! The photos turned out better than we could have imagined, and I would definitely recommend her! Everyone who has seen the photos is in awe of the pictures and her!

Rachel has natural talent. We gave her free reign to play around among the Chicago landscape and she came up with extremely creative poses, locations and angles. Seeing the end results, I have never felt more beautiful and I couldn't believe pictures of us in my hometown could look like they belonged in a high-end bridal magazine.

The quality was super clear, the photo-shopping and editing was so clever and artistic, and the end result was a dream come true.

To add the icing to the (wedding) cake - she was a breeze to work with. She arrived early, fully prepared and chock full of ideas. She was super accommodating and fun and a general pleasure to work with. She knew the shots that were important without me having to tell her, and she did it in a way that made our wedding unique and special.

I have been recommending Rachel and her work to all of my recently engaged friends and encourage all brides to book Rachel ASAP!

Rachel photographed my wedding in May of 2010 as well my engagement photos. She did a phenomenal job with both. Rachel is one of those people who you can tell is passionate about what she does. For our engagement session she met us in Millennium Park at 6:30 in the morning because that is when the best light is. She told us exactly what to do, and quickly identified perfect spots for the pictures. The photos came out so artistic and unforced, and I was really really happy.
The day of the wedding Rachel started out the morning with me and my bridesmaids at the Sofitel. The way she manipulated the light in the room was incredible. I cannot believe how amazing the pictures truly are. Whenever anyone looks at my album people say I looked like a model...I had no idea what I was doing; it was all Rachel; she's AMAZING!!! At our eastern orthodox ceremony she captured all the key shots and lots of little special moments that I will forever cherish. Then afterward she was such a trooper and followed my bridal party in a taxi around the city for pics. Again, she did an amazing job coordinating beautiful unpredictable shots of me and my husband and our 12...yes 12, friends. At the reception, she got all the important moments and lots of great candids. Again she used the modern space and lighting of the Sofitel to get beautiful one of a kind shots. She also did an awesome job getting coverage of everyone at the wedding, which was important to our families.
Bottom line...if you're looking for a photographer with a great disposition, who is professional, and who knows how to get a great balance of the traditional and photojournalistic style photos; you will not find anyone better than Rachel.

Rachel deserves 5 stars in each category because I could not have asked for anything beyond what she delivered for my wedding photos and the album.

Rachel was my photographer for my November 2009 wedding. I love, love, loved my wedding photos! My husband and I got married at Holy Name Cathedral and our reception at Cafe Brauer in the Lincoln Park Zoo. Rachel did such a great job of capturing the beauty of my historic venues and getting the urban city look I was going for. She also did my engagement photos, which again, love them! I have gotten many compliments on all my photos. Rachel was very professional and a pleasure to work with.

I was lucky enough to have Rachel photograph our wedding. Since then, so many people have asked me who our amazing photographer was and have asked for her for their upcoming events. Her attention to detail was stunning and our pictures are unique and classic at the same time! On top of her incredible pictures, she was also a joy to be around! Our entire wedding party loved her! I truly can't say enough about Rachel -- we are STILL getting compliments on our wedding pictures. I only wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!

I cannot say enough good things about Rachel. She did our engagement photos in October, 2009 and photographed our wedding in July, 2010. For our engagement photos, Rachel suggested Navy Pier. The pictures came out amazing. She has so many good ideas and always finds that unique perspective. That is what drew me to her work from the very beginning. Our wedding photos were awesome. We had 18 bridesmaids and groomsmen and Rachel was able to engage all the rowdy groomsmen. In the morning, I was freaking out about a pimple that popped up on my chin overnight and Rachel calmed me down. You don't even see the pimple in any of the pictures :o) We ended up with so many beautiful photos, from the ones of me getting ready in the morning to the guys in the church to the girls in the trolley. The ceremony photos were beautiful and the reception photos were funny. She really caught every moment of the entire day. In between engagement photos and wedding photos, I was making a canvas for my boss out of a digital picture I had. It needed some help, so I asked Rachel and she made it look beautiful!!! This is the kind of person she is...always willing to help. She makes you feel like your wedding is the most important one in the world, even though she shoots a few every weekend.

I worked with Rachel for my December 10th, 2010 wedding at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois. Her photojournalistic photography was just what we were looking for and exactly what she delivered. She had an amazing ability of capturing every moment of our ceremony and reception without being in the middle of everything. I gave her a basic outline of how I wanted the day to go and some important shots I wanted her to get everything else she effortlessly did on her own. When we got our pictures back each one was literally perfect, everyone commented on how beautiful they turned out. I would highly recommend Rachel to any bride looking for a wedding photographer; her professionalism well exceeded mine and my husband’s expectations! Thank You!

I worked with Rachel for my engagement and wedding photos in June and November of 2010 and my husband and I were nothing but thrilled with quality of work we received. The engagement photo session was nice since it gave an us idea on how Rachel worked and what we could expect for the day of the wedding. The engagement photos turned out great and loved what she how she worked with the overcast that day. The photos came out very cool.
The day of the wedding was no exception. Rachel arrived on time and immediately got to work. My husband, bridal party, family and I felt very comfortable with her which was important. She has very creative ideas and took a lot of beautiful shots. My friends and family have been raving about the photography even months later. I would definitely recommend working with Rachel if photography is important to you as we are completely thrilled with the photos we received.

Rachel photographed our wedding in July 2010. We were given the opportunity to see her portfolio beforehand and compare it with other photographers in the company, and then we decided that her style fit what we wanted. She was unbelievably flexible and easy to work with - she made things work for the schedule we wanted (which was NOT easy!) and helped us decide how the day would run most effectively. She talked us through the process without being overbearing, and she blended seamlessly into the day in a way that made us very comfortable and produced amazing photographs! We couldn't be more please with the service and the pictures!

Such a fun and talented photography team!

Jeff and Rachel were just THE BEST team to have on our wedding day. They made us feel so important. My husband loved Jeff and his outgoing personality. His words about Jeff “he’s just a guy that loves life and it shows. He got to know every single one of my groomsmen and they loved him”. From a man of little words, that’s a HUGE compliment! Rachel knew exactly how to get the “perfect shot” and how to make me feel so pretty on my wedding day. Jeff and Rachel work wonderfully as a team. My bridesmaids complimented me on what a great team we picked for our big day, they have already gotten married and said they were the best photographers they’ve ever met. Rachel was our photographer and from the day I emailed her she was extremely helpful. Throughout the process she answered my questions about photography, in addition to providing some other wedding advice. Rachel did our engagement photos and although they were taken at a great location they did not come out quite how we imagined they would. Everyone else loved them, we were just critical of ourselves in the photos. For the wedding, Rachel was on time and professional. Our timeline got thrown off because setup for photos took longer than planned. We thought we had so much time but we didn't. We missed our cocktail hour even though we did first look photos and we took a lot of time taking night photos. All of the photos look great. We had a few disappointments such as - first look photos mainly showed the bride's face and the intention was to see the groom's face, there are not many close up posed photos of us, there are noy many different location poses of us because we did not have time and it rained the day of, the reception room lighting threw off the photos so we really didn't get a good photo of the overall color/glow in the room at night. I know that sounds like a long list, but honestly, Rachel is great to work with. I think you have to be very specific in everything you want, which is a criticism I have seen of a lot of wedding photographers. Apparently we did not do a great job of that. Some of the photos are absolutely stunning so overall we are very happy with them.

Rachel took the most "AMAZING " intimate photos to help my create a beautiful & exquisite lingerie album as a gift to my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary. She makes you feel right at home in the studio. Her level of expertise helps capture the true essence of the moment!! She & Jeff were extremely courteous and Rachel even encouraged my husband to share the experience!!! Although he picked the photos, Rachel helped bring my vision to reality. I highly recommend their services to bring your journey to life !!!!
