Melody was our day of planner and made my daughter's wedding day stress free. Since my daughter is in Florida, I met Melody for the first time only 3 weeks before the wedding. She was on time, professional, highly organized and had useful tips for the wedding day. She sent us a detailed timeline which was very helpful and contacted all the vendors the week of the wedding. On my daughter's wedding day, Melody did a great job: everything was set up for us, kept everybody on time and made it all look so easy! I would highly recommend Melody. Where to begin.... I can't possibly begin to thank Sarah, Melody, and the Historic events crew enough! Their hard work and assistance at our wedding made the day spectacular! Throughout the entire process from meeting, to picking colors, talking about rentals, chair covers, floral decor, you name it they were there every step of the way with insite and helpful suggestions. They were even flexible with stringent venue regulations. The staff was able to coordinate vendors, help with our rehearsal, and ensured that the wedding flowed smoothly without any hiccups. They were responsible for the overall setup of our entire ceremony and reception and it was beautiful! I woulnd't hesitate to reccommend them to anyone! THANKS GUYS, 5 STARS!

I highly recommend Melody Browning, she was technically our "day of planner"," but she helped with a lot of last minute decisions and plans from about a month before the wedding, and she gave me a great recommendation for my wedding gown search in Bridals by Elena. The day of the wedding was flawless, Melody executed all of the tiny details and I went through the day blissfully preparing myself never once worrying whether vendors, centerpieces, chairs, or people were where they needed to be. As the event progressed, she would check in with us and gently kept us on schedule. Everyone remarked how beautifully everything went and no matter what last minute issues arose, Melody always presented a calm, cool, professional and capable demeanor; which is invaluable. Any bride who wants to see their wedding day go from dream to reality and have a carefree time at their own wedding instead of worrying about all of the crazy details should inequivocally give Melody Browning a call!

Sarah was really great to work with. We stumbled upon her from an invitation to one of her small bridal showcases at Kent Manor Inn. It was beautiful and she seemed to really know what she was doing. We actually won a door prize their toward her services so we starting talking to her about helping us come up with a design for the wedding. That was the hardest thing for me to figure out at first...I had ideas of things I wanted...but it was not coming together like I expected in my brain. We met with her and talked about the ideas and she came up with this amazing design that we used the majority of that really got us on track....she was so great to work with...only concern I had at times was it was a little hard to get a hold of her. But, all in all she was wonderful.

Sarah did a wonderful job!! She was always available for questions or concerns pertaining to the wedding. She was able to recommend a vast array of vendors within my budget range and bent over backwards to make sure that my wedding day was exactly what I envisioned it to be!! Aaron & I couldn't have taken care of all the little details without Sarah!!

What a stupendous job! We were thrilled with the results of the wedding. Sarah and her team made the day such a dream. It was so wonderful to be able to trust someone to execute everything we had discussed with such care and attention. I would highly recommend working with Historic Events.

Wow, I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Sarah made our wedding! We had 3 months to plan a wedding for 150 people, on a VERY tight buget, and I completely procrastinated all the way to the bitter end. If that weren't enough of a hassle, I wanted a completely red and black wedding (even my dress was black!) so nothing white was allowed. This was a first for Sarah I think, the anti-white wedding and tattooed bride wearing black, but you'd never know it.
People told me it would look too dark and I wouldn't like it. But I had a vision in my head and I wasn't backing down from it. I'm the lead singer of a pretty hardcore rock band, and I pride myself on being a bit on the wacky side, loving all things that make most other people gasp in horror at my non-conformity, but I wanted it to be gothic, but not halloweenish or morbid, just Beauty with an edge (Like me!) and boy did Sarah make it a reality! No, she made it more stunning than I even could have imagined.
I didn't have a care in the world once she took over the planning, as soon as something popped up that threatened to cause me a bit of stress Sarah was right there to fix it with a smile. Nothing seemed to phase her! She went above and beyond for us, as I'm sure she does for all her clients. She really just seems to love what she does and it shows in a big way. She made sure I was thrilled with everything, and I so was. People are STILL talking about how unbelievable the wedding was, Stunning and unique. Black tablecloths adorned with black magic roses in a glass vase that was filled with this red glowing gel. Candles everywhere and instead of rose petals (boring!), she scattered Red pearl guitar pics at each table. It was Exactly what I wanted!
I'm sorry, I'm babbling but I'm thrilled to be able to leave this review for Sarah and Historic Events. If you want everything you've envisioned on your day (and more) she's your girl :o) THANKS SARAH!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Unfortunately, I did have a really bad experience with Sarah Campbell, owner of Historic Events, who was a nightmare to deal with both during my rehearsal dinner and during my wedding ceremony. My experience with Sarah Campbell left a horrible after-taste on an otherwise perfect wedding day. I feel strongly that no bride should experience what she put me through on my wedding day.
At best, her services were mediocre, if not totally incompetent – I am providing you with specific details below…
• Rehearsal coordination was messy, chaotic and confusing! I provided Sarah with a detailed itinerary for the order of the wedding party processional – and she arrived with scribbled notes that did not add any value to what I had already provided. She had no control over the rehearsal process and did not provide any guidance to the wedding party with regards to where to stand, where to sit, timing, etc. Her assistant was rude and dismissive when asked questions by the wedding party. The groom’s parents, who were hosting the rehearsal dinner, could not believe that Sarah Campbell was a professional coordinator based on her performance at our rehearsal.
• Day of ceremony coordination was actually worse than the rehearsal experience. I hired Sarah to ensure a smooth ceremony – including guidance on set-up and coordination of Kent Manor staff to ensure that the ceremony site was ready. When my cousin asked her for help, she informed her in the most unpleasant way that I cancelled the set-up for the ceremony. At the very least, I expected her to make sure the chairs were clean and arranged in the appropriate formation and number to accommodate 140 guests, which she failed to do. Instead, Sarah was selling her services to another potential bride in the Parlor. Unbelievable!
• Even more unbelievable, Sarah Campbell approached me 30 minutes before my ceremony start time while I was working out final details with the ceremony officiates for the rest of your money after sending me an email the morning of my wedding day demanding payment. I was close to tears with stress and anxiety – She is an absolute nightmare!
• Right before the ceremony start while the wedding party waited in the Parlor, Sarah Campbell was no where to be found. Her assistant ignored requests for her. She was not present for last-minute questions. When we finally lined up for the processional, she missed a couple and was extremely rude when they shouted out that they were missing from the line-up. There were no clear instructions on where the grandparents or parents should sit or when people should start walking. It was utter chaos!
• My wedding party complained that Sarah Campbell’s assistant was extremely unpleasant, rude, dismissive and unprofessional as she directed the wedding party couples in the entrance processional. Based on comments from my brother, parents, and bridal party, her assistant was especially rude to my Asian parents, grandparents and the non-white members of the wedding party – I would suggest multi-cultural training for her, but I hold Sarah responsible for her inappropriate conduct.
• For the fees that Sarah charged in the amount of $634.94, I expected a more orderly process with clear guidance and direction for the beginning of the ceremony. Sarah did not even have to coordinate the ceremony itself – and she absolutely failed to even provide the simplest direction for the ceremony start.
I have sent my complaints directly to Sarah Campbell and to the Better Business Bureau of Maryland in addition I will file complaints against Sarah Campbell with wedding websites and bulletins.
I cannot express how upsetting dealing with Sarah Campbell was for me, especially during a time of great stress and anxiety before my wedding. I truly regret having engaged Historic Events to coordinate my ceremony – and I would recommend that you take Sarah Campbell and Historic Events off the Kent Manor preferred vendor list so that no other bride will have to have the nightmare experience that I had.
Thank goodness I had just one bad experience with one vendor considering I was dealing with many different components – and that the ceremony itself, once started, ran smoothly after Sarah Campbell left.

Words cannot describe the appreciation and gratitude I have for Historic Events Wedding & Event Planning. I cannot thank Sarah Campbell and her team enough for all of the hard work and dedication they provided to make our wedding day so perfect. I initially found out about Historic Events from a wedding workshop that Sarah hosted at Kent Manor Inn in Stevensville, Maryland, our wedding ceremony and reception location. During this workshop, Sarah’s impressive presentation offered so many great ideas on how to make our wedding day even more memorable. After attending this workshop, I immediately knew that I wanted her to help coordinate our wedding. I felt very comfortable and relaxed knowing that she was watching over every little detail and ensuring that the vendors were following through with their services properly. Sarah has a real eye for design and element. She introduced me to many of our vendors during the planning process. Her professionalism, quick responsiveness, and flexibility took a lot of stress out of the wedding planning process. Sarah’s enthusiasm and awesome personality is contagious. She made it fun and exciting!! Sarah Campbell, from Historic Events Wedding & Event Planning, went above and beyond the call of duty to make our wedding a huge success!! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how smoothly everything ran!! The ceremony and reception decor were just breathtaking!! Jason and I will cherish our wedding day forever and always remember the extraordinary job that Sarah and her team did to make it all happen!! It was truly a dream come true!! I would highly recommend Historic Events Wedding & Event Planning to anyone who is planning a wedding or other large affair!!

Historic Events was my Day of Coordinator. It was such a relief to be able to focus on just being happy that it was my wedding day and not have to worry if details were being taken care of or dealing with vendor issues. Historic Events put me at ease by knowing my wedding down to the detail, so I was confident that they could handle any possible incident and the outcome would match my vision for the day. On the day of my wedding, everything was choreographed beautifully and the flow of the ceremony and various traditions at the reception was completely smooth.
After seeing how harried and upset my friends were on their wedding days having to deal with little things, I would never recommend anyone go without a Day of Coordinator. And, given my experience, I recommend that Day of Coordinator (or planner) be Historic Events.

Sarah was very professional and helped me enjoy my day. I had nothing to stress about. She took care of it all. She always had a drink for me and helped me in every aspect of my reception.

My wedding was more than I could have dreamed. Historic Events made everything seem to run seemlessly. I didn't even know that there were any problems until after the wedding. Sarah and her team came up with solutions to everything without making me worry. I can not imagine what would have happened had I not hired Historic Events for my Day-of-Coordination.
