We had our wedding at Waterfront and it exceeded every expectation. The ceremony space was stunning, the reception area was beautifully maintained, and the flow of the day was perfect thanks to the staff’s professionalism. Not to mention the food was amazing! All our guest all said the food was the best. Ashley Basurto was the best and she was our first contact for our first in person tour of the hotel. She was so helpful and super nice. She provided the best first impression and great customer service compared to the other venues we looked at. Ask for her you won’t be disappointed. Communication leading up to the wedding was clear and responsive, and the day-of coordination. She made everything stress-free. We truly felt supported throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful setting and exceptional service. Brandi was the best wedding coordinator pick her! She went over the top to make the day smooth. She even helped with my long train on my dress and provided her personal time and supplies needed to fix it. She truly is an angel. I’m grateful for the support and love they all contributed on our special day! -

Ashley, our events coordinator, was a dream to work with from start to finish. She was so kind, gracious, and thoughtful from the moment we decided to have our wedding at the hotel. She was always quick to respond and offered great alternatives to help accommodate our guests, whether it was a small tweak or something that felt like a big change to us.
We checked in a couple of days early to relax, and she made sure we felt completely taken care of—our favorite snacks and drinks were waiting for us in the room, which was such a sweet surprise.
The Breakwater Ballroom was absolutely stunning and felt so open and airy for our wedding of around 220 people. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help us with such an important day. I’ll truly miss working with Ashley. Highly recommend this venue! -

I will say that the punctuality of the event coordinator was beyond expectations. The venue was all one could hope for in a venue. In regards to the price, I will say that the value for the service was beyond reasonable. I personally feel that the staff during the event was not only very personal in the handling of event, but also made sure that everyone was taken care of through the event.
If anyone is seeking a location for a wedding, birthday party, or other celebration this is for sure a venue that has it all for you.

We recently celebrated our son’s wedding at the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach, and we cannot express enough how exceptional our experience was! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in great hands.
The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, with its breathtaking oceanfront location providing the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. A huge thanks to Melissa Huerta, the Senior Catering Manager, who did an outstanding job helping us plan multiple events. Her flawless coordination ensured every detail was handled with precision and perfection.
The service was exceptional – everything was impeccably organized, allowing the event to unfold seamlessly from start to finish. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Hilton support staff, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. Their professionalism and attentiveness were evident throughout the celebration, making all our guests feel welcome and well-cared for.
And the food? Simply outstanding! Chef Lewis outdid himself, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. The drinks were excellent, offering a wide variety to suit everyone's tastes – a special shout-out to Richard and his team for their stellar service.
We are incredibly grateful to the Waterfront Hilton for playing such an integral role in making our son’s wedding day truly unforgettable. Thank you for helping us create cherished memories that will last a lifetime!

From the moment we toured the location with Vanessa D, we knew our wedding was going to be amazing. Vanessa was extremely accommodating and patient throughout the entire experience and helped put us at ease during this very hectic time. The room we chose for our wedding (Pacific Ballroom) was on the 2nd floor overlooking the Pacific Ocean and allowed us to have an outdoor ceremony with and an indoor dining experience all in the same area. The banquet staff was top notch. I was afraid that I would be worrying about small details on my wedding day, but this never happened because Vanessa and her team were on it every step of the way. I couldn't have imagined my wedding being anymore beautiful or going any better than it did. If you want a wedding with unmatched views and unmatched staff, my recommendation would be to come to The Waterfront Beach Resort. -

We visited over 10 wedding venues across OC including Pasea, Hyatt, Marriott, Balboa, Lido House, Fashion Island etc.
Hilton Waterfront is like no other! The vibe is upscale, lively, and engaging but does not have a pretentious vibe like some other venues. This hotel brings out the best version of ourselves to create memories around every corner!
Vanessa and Wellie from Hilton are top notch!! Thanks so much for all your help! I have received countless compliments about the views and food like "Wow I have never had a wedding that had fresh oysters and poke!" and people being indecisive between which appetizer was there favorite because how can you choose between Herb Crusted Lamb chops and Maryland Crab Cakes?
My guests were sad that cocktail hour was over, only to be WOWed again at our Korean-BBQ Marinated New York Steak! Then we even surprised our guests with cute dessert displays and DRUNCHIE dipping station. YES. Crispy chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, grilled cheese sandwhiches.. It was an experience like no other!!
Half of our guests were from out of town, and we were so happy to show them the best SoCal has to offer to amazing food, shopping, beaches! Huntington Beach and Hilton Waterfront DELIVERED! My guests were even talking about wanting to visit here again on their own. Truly a beautiful, incredible, experience with memories that will last a lifetime.

Waterfront Hilton Review
Like many couples, we had to reschedule our wedding from its original date due to the Coronavirus, but due to unforeseen conflicts, we also had to relocate our venue, and we ended up choosing the Waterfront Beach Resort for its beautiful setting and fantastic amenities.
We worked with Vanessa throughout the near-entirety of our time coordinating with the Waterfront Beach Resort, and Vanessa was incredible at being very responsive to our numerous emails and meticulously answering each question in detail. She helped work through the many nuances and details of our wedding, which included a tea ceremony component during the early afternoon in addition to the ceremony and reception.
The one slight hiccup occurred the week of our wedding, when we were told that Vanessa would be on vacation the weekend of our wedding, and Nancy and Semrin would be taking over. Unfortunately, there were some details that were not completely conveyed through, so the morning of the wedding did feature some stressful last-minute reminders to correct a few detail items. However, ultimately, Nancy and Semrin came through and helped make the day a wonderful experience (Semrin even get us into the rooftop bar for some wedding party photography before it opened to the public).
Our wedding ceremony at the Vista Lawn and the reception in the Coastal Ballroom were beautiful, and our whole set-up was super well organized and convenient. Our guests also raved about the fantastic food throughout the evening, from the hors d'oeuvres to the main courses to the ice cream sundae bar and taco bar we had. The bar staff was also super attentive with making sure we had beverages when we needed them.
Overall, we have zero regrets about going with the Waterfront Beach Resort and are so thankful for their part in making our memory one to remember for the rest of our lives! -

Best Wedding Venue!!
Angie and the waterfront team did an AMAZING job with my wedding last month. Even though we had to postpone due to COVID-19 last year, the Hilton was incredibly accommodating and made sure our new date was perfect. The day of the wedding went incredibly smooth. All of our guests were blown away by the location and setup. I would highly recommend this venue for any future bride! Thank you Waterfront! -

My perfect wedding
The Waterfront Hotel was supportive, accommodating, and friendly throughout our entire wedding planning process. Angie was our go-to for everything wedding related and always had the answers. I was a relatively ignorant bride when it came to specific details or event planning, but Angie helped every step of the way answering every single question I had. I felt that our Waterfront team understood me, my husband, and our style. They were able to make decisions that were exactly in line with my vision without me having to articulate specifics. Planning a wedding during COVID created its own unique challenges, but our team at the Waterfront helped alleviate a lot of that stress with their unending flexibility. I would recommend this place every single time and cannot wait to spend each anniversary here in the future! -

Angie helped me plan the most spectacular wedding for my daughter. Unfortunately due to Covid it was postposed twice. Angie and her team continued to be helpful and understanding the entire time. These past few months have been a roller coaster ride especially if you're a couple planning a wedding amidst the pandemic. Our original wedding date was in May 2020 but we had to postpone until September.
Our plans were diverted outdoors because it was impossible to host a reception with 300+ guests inside the Breakwater Ballroom. Our guest list was cut in half to abide by the guidelines.
We were lucky to have worked with Vanessa, the Catering Director. She accommodated us and kept us informed as Orange County was going through the lock down and then the reopening phase. We were able to pull off a COVID wedding safely with the assistance of our Wedding Coordinator and the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort staff.
Our banquet tables were set up in the Vista Lawns overlooking Huntington Beach. The weather was perfect that day except for a light breeze. Heat lamps were in use for the evening hours. Dinner was served with the sunset in the backdrop.
My husband and I were overjoyed to have had our wedding celebration at this beautiful venue. If you want an elegant atmosphere but not too posh then this hotel/resort is the perfect choice! Thank you for making our special day more than memorable! -

We were a mature couple looking for a small but elegant venue for a small wedding during COVID. We could not have been happier. Everyone was so helpful. The week before our wedding, we had to move everything outside. The hotel moved it pool side. It was beautifully done. Getting married in a pandemic was challenging but working with the staff at The Waterfront was truly phenomenal. Not only is their venue space stunning but they did a great job at accommodating our guests, were super easy and timely when working with us and did a great job working through the changing rules & regulations. We got married in the Vista Lawn and felt we had our perfect fairytale wedding with the ocean view and twinkle lights. Both Nancy & Angie were amazing to work with and so accommodating from the first time we met. Also, our wedding guests all raved about the food! HIGHLY recommend this wedding venue! -

The Waterfront Hilton Resort was beyond what we could have imagined! From start to finish, they handled it all! We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, and the Waterfront Wedding team, especially Angie Florence, made sure our day was incredible...and did it all in TWO WEEKS!! They went above and beyond to ensure our intimate micro wedding was a success and special. We felt valued and heard throughout our two week planning process. My wife and I are still in awe of how perfect the wedding venue was. From the very moment we booked, to our big day, their dream team of venue coordinators were there assist/accommodate us every step of the way, Angie, Faye, and Vanessa are truly a dream team and work so well together. My wife and I had so many special requests for our big day, and they were more than willing to work with us on all of them. I also want to give a shout out to Church (I think that’s his name, I apologize if I got it wrong!). I believe he was our personal coordinator for our big day at the venue. The exceptional level of attentiveness and customer service he provided to us on our big day did not go unnoticed and we’re so grateful to have had him a part of our big day as well!
Lastly, this venue is simply beautiful. We had guests come from all over (Korea, Philippines, etc.) and they all said the same thing.......what a view! We were at the coastal ballroom, which I highly recommend if you have 150 guests. You and your guests will have the backdrop of the sunset and the ocean while you’re dancing the night away.....which trust me, you will appreciate when your big day arrives. My wife and I searched so many venues and so we can truly say this is the best wedding venue in the OC. -

Extremely friendly, professional and attentive to any and all needs/questions I had throughout the entire process from checking the venue out to the day of our wedding. The main reason we decided to book at the Hilton was the simple fact that the hotel would handle EVERYTHING for the beach ceremony - the permits with the city, chairs and a sounds system. So we had a bare feet sand under your toes beach ceremony, our cocktail our on their upstairs terrace and our reception in their Pacific Ballroom with amazing ocean views from all the windows. The chief also worked with us to make a custom menu for our reception food (we buffet with four stations with each station having a different Mexican type food). The hotel's remodel is gorgeous and the spaces we used and our guests were in were all completed with it's new look. Again, Angie was wonderful and so easy to work with! I do have two things I would like to mention that are not so positive though in hopes the staff can note for the future. My first issue I was told about but didn't I actually see it for myself. Our guests were instructed to go to the beach for the ceremony so once the ceremony was over our guests were greeted with a sign at the bottom of the staircase they needed to go for the cocktail hour saying "Ochoa/Grimes Wedding". My husband's last name was spelled wrong - it's Scrimes not Grimes. The sign was not removed until my mom saw it after taking our family pictures on the beach which meant at that point all of our guests had already seen it. The second issue my husband and I had was not being addressed with the correct last name three different times the morning after our wedding. I was addressed Mrs. Ochoa when ordering our food, my husband was addressed Mr. Ochoa when called for a bell hop and we were then addressed Mr. and Mrs. Ochoa by the valet guy when leaving. For the very last thing to be told to us be Mr. and Mrs. Ochoa was a bummer. -

They were a pleasure for the entire one year of planning and treated us like kings the day of the wedding and throughout the night. Couldn't ask for more. We had a million questions throughout the process and everything was answered promptly. The venue has wedding packages so they provide a lot already including the tables, chairs, linens, plates, etc making the process a lot easier. Food and beverage provided by the venue and absolutely delicious! All our guests were blown away by the beautiful venue, food and service. It was truly the best day ever. -

We first visited this exciting Hilton property in September 2012 and most all of the employees are still there and remembered us even a year later (which adds a very personable touch). We are from Las Vegas and we wanted a beach wedding with a reception in a ballroom that was ocean front. The Cielo Mare Ballroom was perfect! Everyone of our guests raved that the filets and the chicken dishes were the BEST they'd ever had! The executive chef is amazing here! Many resorts that we visited prior to the Waterfront were not very accepting of our desire to get married on the beach but Kathy embraced us and supported us the whole way! There were so many details that Kathy helped us out with (she's pretty much a wedding expert). We had a personal room block with a web link to give to our guests and an amazing honeymoon suite for our wedding weekend! I was surprised to find out the day after that there were 3 weddings the day I got married because I was convinced I was the only Bride on property. If you want a flawless wedding and ALL of your guests to tell you that they just attended the best wedding they've ever been to...this is the place to get married! Thank you to EVERYONE at the Waterfront Beach Resort for contributing to the best day of our lives! From the valet guys, to the girls at the Surf Hero, Monique at the pool, to Mark at the front desk, to our amazing Banquet Captain, Faye, Emily, and of course, the wonderful catering manager, Kathy. Jeffrey Sent on 05/03/2012We were honored to celebrate our wedding at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, CA in March 2012. From start to finish, the staff was incredible. Cathy in Reservations made it easy for us to have a room block and helped all of our guests secure their discounted room rate, and provided extra assistance to those with special needs. I talked with her often and she was always so friendly and courteous, I couldn't wait to meet her in person. The valets and bellhops remembered us each time we came and went, and congratulated us regularly. The amazing events team of Danielle and Vanessa helped make our wedding visions come true and were armed with a backup plan when our poolside wedding was threatened by a fast-approaching storm. Our ceremony was lovely in the Pacific Ballroom with the backdrop of the ocean through the windows. Our reception was exquisite in the Grand Ballroom which had plenty of room for our 150 guests. The food was PHENOMENAL! Our guests can't stop talking about the appetizers and the dinner, all provided by the award-winning Shades Restaurant within the hotel. The catering staff was super attentive to us and always made sure we had our beverages of choice and all the food we wanted. Our preparation and honeymoon suites were so classy and comfortable. When we got back to our room after the reception had ended, we were excited to find Angus burgers and chocolate milkshakes waiting for us, which we had arranged with Church. JD, the hotel manager, had left us a hand-written card congratulating us and offering us a free in-room breakfast voucher for the next morning. The hotel grounds were clean and well-maintained and the pool was a great meeting spot for all of our guests who turned the wedding weekend into a mini-vacation. It was a dream wedding for us and the wonderful people at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort made the happiest day of our lives even more memorable and enjoyable as they took all of the stress off of us and provided an amazing event that our friends and family will always refer to as "the wedding of the century".
