Helga's Caterers exceeded my expectations. My guests were very impressed with the high quality of service. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic! We all felt well attended to. I felt like a five star restaurant came to us! I highly recommend Helga's Caterers.

Very good food and service. Reasonable prices, too. I also appreciated that the staff wrapped up all the leftovers for us to take with us. The only disappointment I had was that we specifically outlined the floor plan about a week before the wedding, but they still didn't set it up exactly as planned. It didn't end up being a big deal that day, but still a little disappointing, considering that we planned it out beforehand.

I can not say enough good things about Helga's Catering. We used them for our October 2009 wedding at Top of the Town and were very pleased with everything. The food was delicious. I had heard reviews about dried out food, but we didn't have any problems, we got nothing but rave reviews about the quality and quantity of the food. The french service style worked out well and everyone felt very full.

The service was impeccable. Nothing was served late, everything looked gorgeous, and they had a plate of the passed appetizers waiting for us when we got there. The bar service was great, no one went long with and empty drink. Our guests continually commented on how great the selection was, especially the champagne for the toast. We just did the standard open bar. We had Helga's make our cake as well. It was delicious! We wanted a simple design so I am not sure of the range of skills of their pasty chef, but it worked for us.

Everything was set up and broken down in time, they might have been a little too quick to break things down at the end of the night as my mother didn't have enough time to figure out if she had everything before they began shooing her away.

Overall Helga's was a great choice. They were one of the more reasonably priced options and the quality did not suffer.

Helga's did a phenomenal job with our wedding reception. Everyone raved about the food and the service! They were very accommodating when planning the menu and answered all of our numerous questions throughout the planning process! Tom and Lynda were both great to work with - you will not be disappointed. A GREAT caterer and at a very reasonable cost.

My wedding was very low budget - so low budget that I didn't know if we could afford a caterer at all. Helga's met our financial needs and provided us with exceptional service. I could not believe we were able to have such nice, professional staff take care of the food for our lunchtime reception. Guests were complimentary of how nice the staff was, and they did a lovely presentation for our small reception. I would highly recommend them!

Friends of ours used Helga's for their wedding and recommended we use them as well... We are excited to recommend them to others, too! We worked with Tom Evans, and since their prices were so reasonable, we figured the food would be mediocre. Our tasting was quite good, and we were pleased with the kind and gracious service they provided us. Tom met us at our venue and advised us on how to set things up. He made great recommendations for items to serve along with our personal top favorites. The day of the wedding, though, the food was even better than when we had had our tasting. Guests were going back for seconds, and everyone was talking about how "even the bread" made your mouth water it was so good! People are still talking about how delicious our food was - and the price we paid was very reasonable, too! I cannot recommend Helga's enough.

Just an ok Caterer. Was dissapointed at my wedding with the food. I had buffet style and found that the food was quite dried out. It was not as good as when I went for the taster. The staff was nice and very flexible to our needs. If I had to choose again I would not pick this caterer.

I was one of those brides that was trying to do everything herself and had no idea where to start. Helga's staff was always extremely professional, friendly, helpful, flexible. On the day of the wedding (when I could only hope that everything would be like I had planned out) the staff from Helga's was flexible, polite, helpful, agreeable, coming over frequently to make sure that my husband and I had anything we might need (food, drinks, etc.) I was really happy with their service and the attitude of the employee's. I would highly recommend Helga's to others.

My family uses Helga's Catering for any catering needs, so this was a no-brainer for me! As usual, the quality of service, professionalism and responsiveness were above and beyond!

The food was excellent, but as any bride-to-be knows, that's only the start of the catering experience. The Meridian house is set up to where we had to utilize multiple rooms of the property, and the catering staff worked hard to make sure the transitions were smooth and easy! The bartenders were friendly, the food was delicious and the pre-event preparations were so easy thanks to the staff (and owner) of Helga's Catering.

Ah, Helga's--the food was fantastic, but responsiveness? Forget about it. We basically had to force them to stay in touch with us those precious weeks leading up to our wedding.

The caterer showed up 2 hours late for the walk through for our reception. This should have been an indication of what the service was going to be like during our wedding. The bar staff frequently left the bar unattended (guests were helping themselves) and just like another reviewer noted they ran out of beer at our wedding.

The food was fine, but not memorable. I would not recommend their services.

We received quotes from several local caterers before settling on Helga's. After comparing the proposals between about 6 or 7 different caterers, we felt that Helga's would provide the greatest value for our money. Initial email exchanges took place between Michael Evans, and after we had our first tasting, any questions, concerns or revisions were handled by Tom Evans. After signing our contract we did have some concerns over communication, many of the emails we sent went unanswered and it took asking the same questions several times to eventually get a response. In all though, the food was excellent and memorable, and all of our guests were happy with their drinks as well. The service at the wedding itself was fantastic, and although we didn't make it back in from pictures in time for some of the passed hors d'oeurvres, we heard they were ridiculously tasty.

Michael was very responsive to all requests. He did a wonderful job helping us with the menu. It made our day very special!

Service was great, the food looked and tasted lovely, and they were on time and professional.

Really great food and very accommodating. This company also provides a full bar service & table linens if needed. Although at we had a cash bar, make sure they bring more than enough alcohol to last though the night. They ran out of beer for us. :(
