Amazing Experience

Is was seriously effortless to use Griselda’s Catering! The food was amazing. They catered to the allergies that our guest had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Griselda's Catering did an amazing job on my daughter's wedding! The buffet was delicious, the tables with linens and china were beautiful, the bartender service was excellent, and the price was reasonable. Griselda and her staff were very professional and extra helpful even putting out the floating candle vases and the wedding guest gifts we brought. She set up a free tasting of her wonderful food choices before the wedding. Everything went seamlessly. Griselda was a true pleasure to work with, I highly recommend her!

Griselda was an AMAZING caterer. Food was very important to me and my husband on our wedding day as we had eaten our share of bland, cold wedding food and we love to eat. I knew I wanted an outside caterer, and I knew I wanted Mexican food. Griselda was so accommodating and kind, it was like I had known her for years. We met her for a tasting and fell in love immediately, everything was delicious and it even turned out that she had owned the restaurant my mom had hung out at when she was younger and had a lot of parallels to my family: it was totally destiny. When the big day came, she was a better coordinator than even my actual day-of coordinator for my wedding site! Everything ran smoothly, everyone got to eat, and we got so many compliments (and handed out so many business cards)! I would highly recommend Griselda to anyone hosting an event. A year later, and my husband and I still talk about the food and her service. We loved her!

My wife and I picked the venue first which was the Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento. The venue required we go through their preferred vendors for food and drink. After thumbing through every caterer, Griselda's was the best decision because of the flexibility, the reviews, and finally the price. We booked the venue about one year from the wedding date and took about a whole month to select our caterer. Griselda's reputation really sold us as we heard nothing but great reviews. Lucky for me I was able to test her out booking an event I had to organize and everything was good to go. We then used Griselda for our baby shower and everyone one of our guests loved the food so it was a no brainer to use them for our wedding. Now my fiance was extremely organized and had a whole underwater vision and Griselda brought it to life. She was very available to us even though I know she was extremely busy with tons of other events and weddings. We would email, call, text everything! We probably met about 5-6 times at her offices at the State Capitol and she always showed great hospitality and really could tell she wanted this to be a great event. About 3 months before the wedding we made the best decision of our lives and paid her to be on site coordinator which was well worth the money which allowed us to not have to worry about all of our vendors and their questions, set up times, etc. Highly recommend Griselda's to anyone out there. She may not be the cheapest but if you want to do your wedding right she is the one to call. She was running around all over during the wedding and had her little clipboard and the night ran so smoothly with zero issues or hiccups. Wish we could go back in time and just experience the wedding just for a minute. In the end, our guests were amazed, my wife was thrilled which is really all that matters. Can't wait to see all the photos and videos.

Griselda's catering was top notch...not only was she friendly but professional as well. She went far and beyond on wedding and made it even more special :-) My guest are still commenting on how delicious the food was along with the overall display of detail and care that was put into the presentation of the food. I definitely recommend anyone getting married and/or having a special event to look into having Griselda cater it....she is a five star caterer!!

Griselda's Catering is the absolute best! Not only are they super easy to work with and flexible...something critical for me because I changed my mind and added to or adjusted my order weekly; they also go above and beyond to make your day absolutely perfect. They catered our wedding, an intimate affair with dinner at our home. We were running late from the ceremony of course, so they just did all the little extras they weren't required to do without me having to ask. They thought about things before I had to which was so fantastic because I hadn't hired a planner. They boxed up all the leftovers and put them in the fridge and even left the rentals at my home because the party was still going! They were very quiet the next morning coming to pick everything up which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I would use them for every single thing I do, the food was really amazing and the staff was exceptional. Doesn't get much better.

Our firm has been a fan of Griselda's Catering and her families’ restaurant for many years. She has catered many events of ours, from hosting fundraiser at their original restaurant on 7th street as well as her catering service offsite. Griselda's Catering demonstrate such professionalism in their service and her selections of foods appeals to every pallet. Her and her staff adds that personal touch with a smile!

Everything that Griselda's catering is top noch professional with care and value added. For 5 years of holiday parties, board meetings and birthdays, I have always counted on Griselda. I have never been dissapointed with their service, quality or selection of food, and budget. I highly recommend Griselda and her team.

Our caterer listened to what we desired for the atmosphere, hor devours and meal plan. Griselda went above and beyond our expectations. family and friends are still complimenting the food. Griselda added a personal touch to our event. I have made a new friend and looking forward to future catering events with her.

I was 100% satisfied with Griselda's catering. They were very professional and had great service. When things went wrong at the reception, her staff helped make things better. They were so prepared, they were just waiting for the event to start. Her staff helped things run smoothly. I could not have been more satisified. The food was wonderful and would hire them again if I had to do it all over.

My husband and I were very happy we went with Griselda. Everyone at our wedding commented on how much they loved the food! Especially the appetizers, mini tamales, burritos, and quesadillas! We went with the Latin Buffet and when we wanted a few changes Griselda didn't hesitate to oblige. The set up was wonderful and they cut our cake for free! The day before our wedding she even called to let me that everything was in order to relax and they would take care of everything. I would totally go with Griselda again for any other event.

Griselda provides the very best and personal service a bride could hope for. She really goes the extra mile to complete your vision. I was a very specific bride who really hoped for things to be a certain way and Griselda gave me everything I had hoped for with a smile. The food was great, innovative, and perfect for every guest. Griselda provided the best catering services I have ever found. The food was absolutely amazing! I got so many compliments on how great the food was. I received compliments such as, “the food from Griselda’s was better than any other wedding.” I couldn’t agree more! There were so many choices. I had enchiladas, mole, chile verde, and tamales as my entrees. I have to say they were all to die for! Best tasting Mexican food ever! The staff from Griselda’s was so professional and personable. Her employees serviced the bar, the buffet, and clean-up after the wedding; all which they handled great! Everyone was so tired after the wedding so it was great to have the staff there to complete all the clean-up. I really have to say that Griselda’s Catering is amazing at what they do!! There is not one bad thing I have to say about them. They helped make my day really special! I am glad people will remember my wedding as the one with the best food and service ever! I plan to go back to Griselda for all my catering needs in the future.

She was an absolute dream to work with during the wedding planning process with her professionalism and recommendations which made my wedding day a huge success. Griselda was amazing. I had alot of questions and she answered all of them. She really cares about her brides and wants to make sure that their big days are absolutely perfect. Griselda is great! Everyone is so professional! They recently hired a new wedding planning coordinator and she is SO awesome. We were able to customize our food to meet what we wanted and our vegetarian guests' needs. PLUS there are different rewards for paying without credit or for signing a catering contract within a certain amount of time (I won't ruin the surprise but they're excellent)!

The day of, the caterers were wonderful. Griselda herself was our coordinator and everything went smoothly. Plenty of food for everyone and they were sure that no one had empty glasses at the head table for the toast (something I've seen people worry about in reviews about caterers). Highly recommend Griselda's! It was not as expensive as many other companies we looked at but the quality of the food was still awesome.

I have been treated to Griselda's Catering at least 2 dozen times within the past 3 years during various Sacramento Hispanic Chamber, Slavik Chamber and Rainbow Chamber. Her staff members are quick, professional and you can always see how much pride they have in their work! I could not be happier. I especially enjoy the Rosemary Citrus Chicken, Triple Cheese Mashed Potatos, Grilled Veggie Quesadillas, and Lavish Salsa Bar with Ceviche.

Griselda's catered our wedding last night and we could not have been happier with the service and the food! From our very first appointment they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us to create the menu. We knew we didn't want typical "wedding food," and they helped us to put together a fantastic buffet with plenty of options for everyone. We were blown away with how good the food was at our tasting, and it tasted just as delicious at the wedding. So many people came up to me to tell me how good our foods was. Griselda herself and the wedding coordinator, Geri, are both a pleasure to work with and were so helpful even with the smaller details like table linens and glassware. They were also NEVER pushy and offered a variety of options to help us stay within our budget. They took special care of us on our wedding day, even making certain that we even had a tray of appetizers reserved for when we arrived. We have no doubt that we made the best choice with Griselda's.

Griselda's team did an excellent job at our July wedding. We had her team take care of everything from the linens, bar, and food of course. Her team was a constant help during the event. They set up the night before so they were not rushed on the day of the wedding. During the reception they took care of everything and worked with other vendors to be sure things were on time. The food was to die for, we had the latin buffet, coming from a hispanic background the food was very important. All our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how authentic and great the food turned out. I would love to recommend the service to anyone. If I could I would eat at the restaurant every day for the yummie food.

Working with Griselda and Cynthia was an absolute treat. The quality of food and the presentation was staggering. Well fed guests are happy guests and we had very happy guests! I recommend Griselda's without hesitation. Their professionalism, the quality of their food and beverages and their attention to detail helped to create a wedding celebration that was pitch perfect.

Griselda's Catering have never failed us. Griselda, Victor, Cindy and the rest of the staff always handle our events with expertise and professionalism. They go above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Plus the food is always so delicious.

The food is to die for! Great staff extremely courteous and did a great job at the reception. We were running behind the entire day and they didn't even charge us for the additional 30 mins.

I would highly recommend Griselda to anyone!

Griselda's Catering is the "go-to" business for the Sacramento area and any type of corporate event. The corporate event they helped me with was a 50-person open house. They were extremely easy to work with. They followed my requests, and offered recommendations that we gladly went with. Attendees commented on the flavorful and unique foods. We just had appetizers and desserts for the event, along with a few beverages. This all fit our event perfectly. If you need catering for your upcoming event, give Griselda's Catering a call or email. They will respond quickly, and offer you a great experience.

What a wonderful wedding we had so filled with joy and the promise of new beginnings. Your crew of most competent men and women were gracious and helpful. The food was delicious! We are so pleased that your were our caterer and would recommend you in a minute!! When I told my friends how you had assured me that all would be well and to be rested, drink plenty of water, eat foods with antioxidents, and get a massage, they said, "I wish my caterer had told me that." So we were indeed blessed being in your most capable hands.

We had a themed wedding and Griselda and her staff were very accommodating with the menu (by swapping standard items for traditional Scottish) and flow of events (we did not follow the typical flow of events and the staff was wonderful at not rushing us to stick, by the minute, to the evenings timeline). They also drove quite a distance, roughly 100 miles, at a very minimal rate to serve our wonderful reception.

The only reason that we are giving the quality of service a 4.5 instead of a solid 5 is that the chicken dish we loved at the tasting was very fragrant and had an amazing orange flavor- the chicken we were actually served was very moist and had a good flavor but it was not the flavor that we loved initially.

Responsiveness is hard to judge because everyone has their own idea of how prompt a business reply should be. Replies typically took at least one day- via email- and they were usually a complete response to all of our questions.

The staff was very professional and yet, laid back- you could tell that they enjoyed working with each other. Our venue was highly impressed at the efficiency and cleanliness of the crew- abandoned glasses were always cleared and there was always a helpful waitperson available to answer questions.

As far as value- Griselda's was the best. They provide virtually everything for your catering needs at a budget friendly price. We did a lot of research and quote comparison prior to meeting with Griselda's staff and we are very pleased that we chose them. All around we would highly recommend this caterer to our family and friends.

Our first caterer ended up going out of business and handed over our file to Griseldas Catering about 4-5 months prior to the wedding , still ensuring us that nothing would change for our wedding. The food was great and they did stick to the menu. We never met this caterering company so our final meeting was very important to us. Unfortunately they did not show up to our finally meeting at the venue to go over reception decor (linens, setup, etc) and final head count nor were we notified that they were unable to make it a week before the wedding. Luckyly the food turned out good and the guests enjoyed it.

Overall the food was great! Professionalism and response time however is bad. This company took over my contract after being in the hands of two other caterers and my contract was supposed to have stayed the same, but it did not. My adult plates went up .50 per plate. The assistant does not know how to send contracts without sending a empty envelope and calls and emails were hard to get from Griselda until I brought it up to my reception venue. After my wedding I was able to get a refund of the small amount difference that my adult plates went up, and Griselda was actually pretty good and fast working with me on that issue.

Unfortunately they have been very unprofessional. We've been in contact back and forth about my wedding coming up. They never followed through. Communication is the worst. I met the owner in person, she seemed friendly, but when planning a wedding, I need someone who is on top of the communication.
