Frey Florist was 100% the right choice for our wedding. We worked with Sarah, who was phenomenal. She was quick to respond to all my calls/emails and brought my vision to life. We wanted simple arrangements with lots of green and white and she far exceeded our expectations. The whole process was seamless and time efficient which is necessary while planning a wedding. Also, the pricing was beyond fair. Thank you!!!

Beautiful and within budget!

If you have balked at some of the minimum spends for florists in the Rhode Island area ($10K!!) – you are not alone! If you are working with a smaller floral budget, we would highly recommend working with Frey. Sarah was fantastic at communicating with us throughout the planning process and helped us stay within our budget by offering great suggestions for saving money and clearly explaining trade-offs. When the day finally came, we were so pleased with the bouquets, centerpieces, and especially the ceremony arrangement.

Perfect wedding florist

Frey Florist helped me with all the flowers I needed for my wedding! They helped me achieve my vision of a “jewel tone” fall wedding, and accommodated several last minute changes and requests. They were very professional and did a great job!

Neighborhood Gem

When I was planning my wedding, I didn't want to go too crazy with the flowers. We wanted the usual: bouquets, boutonnieres, an arrangement for our sweetheart table, etc but also some big loose blooms in terrariums/tea light holders and some greenery around our gift and escort card tables. In other words, we're not talking 20 full flower centerpieces - but I was getting quotes from florists for like $1800! Then I found Frey's and I told them my ideas and they were SUPER flexible, accommodating, and affordable. Even when my plans changed a few times (like adding flowers to the cake at the last minute) they were totally chill about it. Additionally, I was able to drop off a bunch of my terrariums and things beforehand and they took care of transporting them to the venue. They executed everything perfectly to plan - even my bouquet looked exactly like the picture I gave them! We were able to garnish our whole wedding for around $1000 without having to sacrifice our vision. Additionally, they are a family owned business and it shows; everyone I spoke to was so kind and down to earth. I definitely recommend Frey's to anyone who is looking for good quality craftsmanship without the snooty frills.

Wonderful!!

Frey Florist was great to work with. I mostly worked with Sarah. She was responsive, professional and patient with me. I was indecisive about a few things, but because of her experience she knew what I was looking for. She was very helpful in this way and put my mind at ease. My flowers were beautiful!! Everything I was looking for and more. I will also say that they were very reasonable in price, hard to find that for these occasions.

Beautiful and Elegant

Working with Frey Florist was a breeze! We specifically worked with Sarah who was super responsive, professional and knowledgeable about wedding arrangements, bouquets, corsages and plants/flowers in general. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and everything I wanted it to be. I had asked for dark, wild greenery and no flowers and also sent her some example photos. Frey Florist absolutely nailed it. For our bridesmaids bouquets we went with baby's breath and the same for the boutonnieres. Everything was great!

Amazing florist with personal touch

Frey is the absolute best when it comes to a small business that's really part of it's community. I grew up in the neighborhood, so now, even living further afield, Frey Florist is still the only one for me. In April, 2019, I asked Frey Florist to do the flowers for my wedding, and I only contacted them with about three weeks lead time. It wasn't a large order, but they still made me feel so special and like it was truly a creation just for me. I did phone and email consultations with Sarah, who understood what I wanted and made it come to life. When she was unsatisfied with the quality of one of the types of flowers they got for me, they upgraded me to ensure it was good. I've never had a bad experience at Frey's, and this particularly special time was another great one.

Beautiful Work!

We hired Frey's for our wedding flowers and couldn't be happier with the results! I chatted with Sara on the phone and sent a few reference pictures of what I had in mind and she took it from there. The boutonnieres and corsages she made for us were perfection and my bouquet was just stunning. Highly recommended!

Loved Frey's

I absolutely loved working with this florist. They were incredibly responsive. Most importantly, I gave them a price range and they worked inside of that price range-- still making an ABSOLUTELY bouquets and centerpieces. I highly recommend them to anyone need flowers in the Providence area.

Frey Florist did amazing job creating my bouquets, boutonnieres, and wrist corsages for my wedding. Sarah has amazing taste and experience when creating your dream vision for your wedding flowers. Extremely Affordable and Flexible with Budget!! Delivery option made it easy day of - Sarah was on site delivering the flowers to my hotel room & my grooms hotel room. Everyone at Frey Florist is very helpful and wants to make your experience affordable for your special day. Highly Recommend for all occasions.

We loved working with Frey Florist and highly recommend them! They listed to our flower and color preferences so well while also keeping us in budget. They were always responsive to our needs and questions and we were able to meet with them several times to discuss all the needed flowers and timeline. They were great at setting everything up for us on the day of as well! They also incorporated some special touches in my bouquet (grandma's ring and mom's wedding dress fabric) which was so lovely. Frey Florist is the best!

The bouquets for our wedding were stunning and perfect!! In fact, everything was but I gasped at my bouquet. Love, love the peonies (white and pink) with the ivory vendela roses! Perfection! The greenery on our arch was understated and romantic. Again just perfect! Richard at Frey is very knowledgeable, helpful and honest... he helped me save a few bucks up front at the consultation. I knew after that day that Frey would provide our flowers! Happy we hired them! Thanks Frey Flowers!

Frey Florist provided the flowers for my recent wedding on November 12. They were nothing short of amazing. When the flowers arrived, they were absolutely gorgeous. I provided him with a sample bouquet from pinterest for my bouquet and it looked just like the picture I provided him with. I bought boutonnieres, flowers for the bridesmaids, my bouquet and flowers for the reception and everything was well priced and so worth it. I had inquired with about 10 florist from around the area before coming to Frey Florist. He gave me the best deal and made me feel the most comfortable in making a decision about flowers for my event. Flowers are very expensive and I did not think that he tried to take advantage of me but gave me fair prices. I'm very happy that I decided to work with him because everything was impeccable. Thank you Frey Florist...!!!!

We used Frey’s for our April 25, 2015 wedding in Newport. Our flowers were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Planning our wedding from the West Coast, we were only able to have one quick meeting with them to describe what we wanted and to look at some pictures. When the flowers arrived on our wedding day I was blown away. We’ve received so many compliments on our flowers (my bouquet, the bridemaid’s, and our centerpieces). The pricing for the quality you get is definitely well worth it. I would highly recommend Frey’s.

Sheri at Frey Florist was so wonderful to work with! I got married in Boston but live in Providence, so I wanted to find a local vendor. Frey was significantly more affordable than all the other places I checked out. I know little about flowers but knew I wanted something colorful. Sheri was so laid back through the entire process and took a couple pictures I had shown her and made arrangements that were more beautiful than I could have ever described. We got so many compliments all day on the arrangements. Wedding planning can be stressful, so I loved how easy going and reliable Frey Florist was. I would highly recommend them for any event!

I would absolutely recommend Frey Florist to anyone looking for gorgeous flowers on a budget. The flowers we got for our wedding exceeded all of my expectations, and we got so many compliments on them. They suited our style and our budget, and really went a long way towards making our day perfect. I purchased a flower selection from you for my daughter Colleen's wedding in Providence. You created a beautiful arrangement for her and her 8 bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride and Groom and Step Mother and for all the Grammies! The Groom's, Groom's men and "Dads" all had handsome boutineeres. The flower girl had a sweet arrangement as well.
We came to you in late fall and met you with only a "kinda, sorta" idea of what Colleen wanted for her special day and you were patient and sat with us awhile as Colleen created her dream bouquete and that for her special party. I asked you if I could wear my corsage on my purse as I didnt love the idea of a wrist corsage or one on my pretty dress.
All the flowers were delivered to the Biltmore exactly on time as promised. We were overwhelmed at how pretty all the flowers were; an NO skimping at all.
We were also so happy with the cost: of all the other florists were consulted with; we could afford your prices and were confident we would be pleased as Colleen worked with a girl who got her flowers from you for her special day.
Thank you so much! Alot can go wrong on such a special day; We counted on you and you exceeded our expectations.

Sheri designed the flowers for my wedding. I had no specific look in mind, or flowers that I NEEDED to have, just color guidelines. I gave her pretty much free reign to do what she felt was best with the color choices, and I am positive that was one of the BEST decisions of my wedding. Not only did it take the stress off of me for expecting a certain result, but it also gave me an extra surprise to look forward to the day of my wedding. The flowers blew everyone away. Everything was so fresh and vibrant and so well put together. I couldn't have imagined anything better! She was super flexible with me for meeting and discussing everything and was genuinely excited for my wedding. My sister is getting married this fall, and Sheri is also doing the flowers for her wedding. I cannot wait to see how it comes out! Her work is amazing :)

I knew that I was planning a low-key event and wanted orange flowers, within my budget, and that I had practically no preferences or ideas of my own about flowers. Given that very little to work on, Sherri was able to take care of everything I needed, and it all came out wonderfully.

Sheri at Frey provided the favors for my sister's bridal shower. Since she was doing the floral arrangements for the wedding, she understood the bride & theme. The small ivy plants were perfect!!! she stayed within my budget and made them look so pretty with her own personal touches which added to the display at the venue and the guest's delight in getting to take them home. She conveniently allowed me to pick them up the morning of the event so that they were super fresh. The professionalism and quality at Frey never fails! Frey Florist created the centerpieces for the Rehearsal Dinner for our son's wedding. They were absolutely beautiful! The staff worked with me to create arrangements that highlighted the tables, using flowers and colors loved by the bride. I can't say enough for their professionalism, help and creativity. Frey Florist is a small, family owned flower shop with BIG Ideas. We met with Sheri to provide flowers for my nieces bridal shower. The bride to be has great ideas but is all over the place, feminine, country,and elegant.
Sheri was able to bring all three of these criteria together in a beautiful centerpiece with the containers and flowers she suggested....it really worked...all the guests were raving over the flower arrangements and my niece was happy not to have to rein in her ideas. Thanks! I know it is not always proper to mention money but the price could not be beat....alot of value for a fair price.

Everything was amazing. Sheri knows how to make flowers into artistic expression. The tree branch and flower motif knocked the socks off the guests and drinking wine in that atmosphere was intoxicating. Thanks forever!

I loved working with Rich from Frey Florist. When I went in to meet with him, I had some images of what I liked, but I wasn't so thrilled about the flower part of my wedding. I left feeling so excited about the flowers. He took what I showed him as place to start and ran around grabbing different flowers and making suggestions. It was great. I told him my budget and he stayed within that and never once mentioned the budget. He just made suggestions that he knew would stay within my budget. The day of the wedding, I loved the flowers, particularly the bouquets and boutonnieres. They were just so lovely.

We chose Frey Florist because Rich always arranged the bouquets my spouse would bring to me while we dated. I always loved the arrangements and knew as soon as we got engaged and decided to get married in Rhode Island that Frey Florist would be the florist we would go with.
Rich was great with me. I made quite a few changes as we discussed bouquet designs. He was so patient with me and always made great suggestions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FREY FLORIST!!

Great find!

Initially found Frey Florist by googling affordable wedding flowers in RI. Frey exceeded my expectations. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the table garland for our vineyard wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Sarah is so easy to work with. Thank you got everything.

Frey always has the freshest flowers, always delivered on time. The arrangements are excellent and they will work with you to get you what you need and desire as far as types of flowers, colors or flower exchanges if what you need is not able to be ordered in time for the event

Sheri from Frey was fantastic to work with, especially considering I made many changes throughout the time between when I booked her and the day of the wedding. She was willing to meet with me several times and was extremely pleasant to deal with. My flowers looked amazing and help up very well in the heat that day. She delivered them to the Biltmore on the morning of the wedding and I was so happy with how they looked. Our centerpieces were beautiful and I was extremely happy with how all my florals turned out.

Sheri was amazing. I had a vision in my head and not on paper which could drive anyone crazy, but she worked with me. Let me know if I mentioned a flower that was really expensive! She worked with my budget. She did half the tables with a full set of flowers and I chose to do simple floating rose petals on the other tables, I bought my own vases and she filled them. It is nerve racking not seeing what it will all look like when you are not in there you have to trust in them. I came in and was wowed by the beauty of all of the flowers the venue looked amazing! She moved everything around and even adjusted my candles which I purchased myself so they would look perfect!

My actual flowers were great I was only disappointed in the size of my bouquet. For 3xthe cost of my maids it was almost the same size. So that was slightly frustrating. She did a great job in making my MOH's flowers very distinctive from the rest of the maids and also labeled all of the boutonnières since we had many different ones! I would go back again and again!

I can't possibly say enough good things about the folks from Frey, especially Sheri. My flowers were breathtaking- she took the very best elements of a bunch of photos that I forwarded to her, and created something better than I could have ever imagined. My guests were hoping I'd have a bouquet toss just so they could get their hands on my flowers! I made some pretty last minute changes to my order, and Sheri was able to pull it all together perfectly. I was a bride on a budget, but my flowers certainly didn't look that way!

We worked with Shari at Frey Florist and after our initial meeting I felt very confident that our flowers would look great. The quote came in under budget and we were even given options to reduce the cost further, if necessary. On the day of the wedding they did not disappoint! I’ve thought a lot about this review. I loved my bouquet and my reception flowers so much – they were exactly what I wanted. But some little details were wrong that just irked me early in the day. The MOH bouquet was supposed to be bigger, but all the BM bouquets were the same size and the woman who delivered didn't have an answer as to which was the maid of honor bouquet. My husband’s bout was supposed to match my pink bouquet – it was white. That irked me the most. I’m a tad OCD so I’m sure other people wouldn’t be as bothered. There were a couple other little things off but the big stuff was all great. They came in $1000 less than the next florist – I’d use them again, but perhaps I’d take it upon myself to be more organized, such as typing out my expectations. If you are on a budget, definitely talk to them. I'd use them again, as working with Sherry to develop my ideas was so much better than some of the more 'over the top' florists I met with. I didn't go with Frey because I had a budget to fit, and they gave me gorgeous flowers that would have cost much more elsewhere.

Experience was ok

We went with Frey for our flowers for our summer (August) 2019 wedding. My husband and I were married at the South County Museum and had our reception at The Towers of Narragansett (RI). Two beautiful venues that need minimal flowers if any. We were referred to Frey in September almost a year before we got married. Something we didn't know...Frey takes a MONTH long vacation between the end of June and the end of July, which is totally cool, but was never mentioned to my fiancé and I at the time so when we got closer to our wedding date and tried to contact them and give them our money we were out of luck. They came back from vacation about 2 weeks before our wedding which they worked efficiently and quickly to make it happen. Definitely be sure to SPELL OUT exactly what you want and be prepared not to get exactly what you want anyway if you get your flowers from Frey. I wanted a draping bouquet for myself (which I paid for in advance) and the day of my wedding it looked like they forgot my bouquet and gave me an extra centerpiece from our reception which was pretty, but not what I wanted and definitely not what I paid for. Small family owned and run flower shop in Providence, RI so they pretty much do whatever they want.

So sorry to hear you were not as happy as we would have liked you to be. There were many changes to the order which might have caused some confusion. We originally wanted to deliver the bouquet directly to you in which case you could have told us you were unhappy and we could have adjusted it on the spot. You insisted we deliver everything to the museum, so we did. We do take an annual 3 week vacation however I do let all upcoming brides know incase they want to get in touch with us before we leave or as soon as we return, for any changes, payment, etc. As far as the extra centerpiece goes the wedding planners asked our delivery driver if there was anything for the vendors table - which nothing was ordered for. He was able to make an arrangement on the spot, no charge, just to have something there. It seems a little unfair to give a 3.6 rating knowing all the hard work we put into your special day especially with the lights involved in your centerpieces.

Frey florist was recommended to me by a co worker who's centerpieces I thought were pretty and I was amazed at how reasonable the pricing was. I first met with Richard this past winter to discuss colors & styles. I didn't see anything in previous photos of their flower designs that fit what I was looking for (my wedding included shades of ivory and gold/bronze so was looking for different white flowers with some greenery) so I showed pictures on my phone and tried to pick out specific flowers from pictures they had. I'm not well versed with flower names so I just trusted that what was written up in the bill was what we discussed. I requested a sample centerpiece for a meeting at my venue in August. When I went to pick it up, it was all just greenery (no flowers) I was very surprised and the 2 women working there were also. ( thus I had no sample centerpiece to bring) So I reviewed with them what I wanted and clarified this. I asked to please have Richard contact me if there needed to be changes made in the bill. Then 2 weeks before the wedding, along with the centerpiece vases they were going to fill, I dropped off 2 pages of printed out pictures of flowers & centerpiece designs with hand written descriptions of what I wanted for centerpieces which I reviewed with Richard. Day of my wedding, walking into my reception, my heart sank to see tables with vases holding only greenery (no flowers). I just don't know where I went wrong. This is a bit of a venting for me. I plan to follow up with them somehow in case it helps avoid disappointment in a future bride. Thank goodness I was happy with my bouquets.
