Simply the BEST
We ordered mini fruit tarts for our wedding rehearsal lunch (which were delicious) and were extremely impressed with how our wedding cake turned out! In all honestly we just pulled some leftover cake out of the freezer two months later and it's still as delicious as on the day of. Not to mention the STUNNING floral design they created. 10/10 would recommend.

We were absolutely blown away by the amazing work Freeport Bakery did for our wedding! From the very beginning, their team was a dream to work with — professional, creative, and truly passionate about their craft. They took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life in the most beautiful and delicious way.
Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail in the design was impeccable — it flawlessly matched our theme and exceeded our expectations.
In addition to the cake, we also had a dessert bar featuring cupcakes, coconut macaroons, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and cookies, all of which were equally incredible. Every treat was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about them!

Amazing service, made for the best wedding day desserts!
We are so glad we chose Susan and the Wedding Department at Freeport Bakery for our wedding cake and dessert bar. From the very beginning, Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful. She patiently answered all of my questions and worked closely with us to find options that fit perfectly within our budget. Susan was an absolute rockstar, going above and beyond with number crunching to make sure everything was just right!
They coordinated drop off at our venue which appeared to go smoothly because I had not a clue when they arrived and when they left - they communicated with our coordinator and venue manager which really helped alleviate some day of stressors.
The cake and desserts were beautiful and absolutely delicious! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the dessert selection, and most of it was gone by the end of the night - which is exactly what we hoped for! We even managed to save and freeze a few treats for later. One of the perks of choosing Freeport Bakery for your wedding is the option to have a fresh, smaller version of your cake made for your one year anniversary. This eliminates the need to freeze part of your wedding cake, and we can't wait to enjoy a fresh one next year!

We were delighted with our wedding services from Freeport, from beginning to end. The take-home tasting was easy to navigate, and a brilliant idea! Our in-person consultation was professional, straightforward, and fun. The bakery communicated with our event coordinator, so we didn't have to get involved with set-up and tear-down details, so that was nice to get something off our plates. Most importantly!!: The cake and dessert trays were absolutely delicious! We have received so many compliments from our guests about the cake and desserts! Would 100% recommend Freeport Bakery!

11-4-23 wedding cake and dessert bar
Amazing job! We ordered a small cake along with mini cupcakes, mini apple pies (which aren't even so mini!) for our fall theme, and mini chocolate drizzled coconut macaroons that were flourless for our gluten-free friends. Everything was delicious! Our cake was lemon poppyseed and people said it was the best lemon they've ever had. They let me change some of the final numbers and the cake stand with ease. Someone came out to my car and helped me unload the cake stands I had rented/carried them in for me. Highly recommend.

Great desserts all around!
We used Freeport Bakery for our wedding cake and they did not disappoint. The whole tasting experience and meeting with the cake designer was fun and there were so many things we could customize. The cake itself was beautiful and absolutely delicious! We were able to do two different filling flavors with the cake and buttercream and it made for a really fun, spring-time cake. We got SO many compliments on the cake and we froze it and ate it for weeks after the wedding! We are so excited to get our anniversary mini cake on our first anniversary!
We also got the eclairs and lemon bars from them which almost completely gone by the end of the night!
Our cake did slide, as our venue was a few minutes past their recommended distance, and the planner who picked it up drove it for us, so our florist added some flowers to hide it, but you never would have known, and it still tasted incredible!

The BEST Wedding Cakes
We've been customers of Freeport Bakery for years (the fruit tart is my husband's go-to "birthday cake"; the shadow fresa is his sister's favorite) and made the excellent decision to order our wedding cake and dessert bar through them, for our wedding at Scribner Bend on 6/10/2023.
The process was super straightforward. We did an at-home tasting to decide on what cake flavors and dessert bar items we wanted. We then had a phone consultation where we reviewed the ordering process, quantities of each item, and payment specifics. The paperwork and payments were exactly as expected.
We ended up with more "yes" RSVPs than expected and Freeport was able to accommodate a larger cake and more dessert bar items than originally anticipated, with no fuss. Averi and Susan were so professional and knowledgeable. I never felt like they were trying to sell us more, and at the same time there was no issue when I asked to bump up the size of our order only a few weeks before the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, the delivery was super smooth, with no involvement on our end. The cake looked exactly how we had requested, and tasted fantastic. We got the lemon poppyseed cake with strawberry cream filling and Italian buttercream frosting, which was perfect for a summer wedding. The dessert bar items (lemon bars, cream puffs, fruit tarts, two kinds of cookie) were devoured by our guests in record time. Every item was well received.
I'm so glad that we ordered our wedding desserts through Freeport Bakery, and highly recommend them for anyone planning their wedding.

The only choice for a cake!!
After looking at numerous vendors online, I kept coming back to Freeport Bakery. Their website had a ton of photos of different types and styles of cakes and it really showed that they had the skills and talent to create just about anything! The staff were super friendly on the phone during our consult and communication and payment was super easy and straightforward. Our tasting was delicious - all of the cakes, fillings and icings were incredible, it was so hard to choose! On the day, our cake was delicious, moist and fresh! We took some home after the wedding to eat a few days later and it tasted JUST as good as the day we got it! Don't hesitate to book Freeport Bakery for your wedding or other events - their cakes are incredible and taste amazing!!

Awesome Desserts
Freeport Bakery is always amazing! As soon as I got engaged I knew I would be going to them for the desserts at my wedding and they did not disappoint. We ordered a 6” cut cake for my husband and me and a variety of desserts for the dessert bar. There were so many positives about the experience and we only had one issue. Their website is very helpful and provides relevant information about their offerings. The consultants are very knowledgeable at the consultation meeting advising us on how many desserts we should order for the number of expected guests. On our wedding day, they delivered our desserts, arranged them, and added floral décor to our cake. Everything looked amazing! They were great with communication about the delivery and storage process and how to return rental items after the wedding.
The only issue we had was with the tasting process. The pick-up times for the tasting kits are inconvenient if you work a 9-5 job during the week. They do offer Saturday times to pick up your tasting kit, but those seemed to go quickly. When I did pick up my tasting kit there was a mix-up and I got part of someone else’s order and part of my order was not given to me. This was not discovered until after I had already left the bakery. We eventually got the correct order. We did appreciate that the tasting sizes were generous which was great for mixing and matching different flavors and also re-tasting to be sure we knew what we wanted to pick.

Freeport Bakery cakes is such a staple for anyone who grew up in Sacramento and they were such a great vendor for our wedding cake and desserts table. They were a recommended vendor by not only our planner but also our venue. All the different options we tried in our tasting box were amazing that it was difficult to narrow down our final selection. They were great partners in giving guidance on the appropriate amount we needed to buy for the guest count we had. We received so many compliments on our dessert table. The strawberry shortcake cup was a personal favorite of mine!

We were new in town and looking for a wedding cake. Many of our coworkers suggested Freeport Bakery. Now that our wedding has wrapped up, we are joining that chorus, as Freeport Bakery delivered in spades. Everything went smoothly, from the taste trial to the design planning to the delivery. The cake itself was moist, light, and flavorful and our guests were raving about it.

Delicious wedding cake and desserts
We used Freeport for a wedding on July 9, 2022 and we are so happy that we did. We contacted Freeport three months before our wedding and they were very responsive. Their online service of ordering samples and making appointments to ask questions was very user-friendly.
We had a small wedding so we used a two-tier cake. We ordered the lemon cake on the bottom and the chocolate on top. Suffice to say the chocolate cake was gone before the lemon but they were both delicious. The cake was moist and the white frosting was to die for!
Customer service Was excellent and they were very responsive. I highly recommend Freeport for your special events they will not disappoint you!
Oh one more thing there desserts were also excellent as well! We ordered the chocolate chip cookies and the lemon bars, they were both excellent and the lemon bar was my favorite!!!

Delicious Wedding Cake
The cake was very good with two different flavors in the two tiers. The ombre design came out a bit different than the concept (we were going for the gradation of color from a painting with evening twighlight hues…and we got a full rainbow (well, it WAS a gay wedding) which did include some of the hues and more, but it certainly got a lot of nice comments from our guests. Staff there at Freeport were friendly and responsive. The online web sign up form could be a bit more user friendly but once we were connected with a person they continued to be responsive all the way through.

My husband Tayler and I booked Freeport bakery for our wedding on 10/10/21, and we were NOT disappointed! From our initial meeting and dessert tasting, we knew had booked the right bakery for our wedding cake and desserts. Divine Wedding Cake with Excellent Service!
Growing up in Sacramento, I always knew that Freeport Bakery was simply the best. When our wedding plans changed dramatically from a 150-person wedding in Tahoe to a 30 person intimate ceremony in Sacramento, we needed a wedding cake on short notice. Without hesitation, we reached out to Freeport Bakery. They offered to-go cake tasting of the flavors we were interested in, which was an incredibly fun experience during a difficult planning season. Even with expectations of excellence, the cakes were more delicious than we could have imagined. We ordered a small circular cake to cut and a sheet cake to share- Italian buttercream frosting, white cake, and raspberry buttercream filling. The cakes were beautiful and absolutely delicious- every friend and family member commented on how wonderful they tasted. We are so glad Freeport Bakery was a part of our special day, and we highly recommend their services to any couple getting married!

I consider this to be one of the best bakeries in Sacramento. I had my 40th Birthday cake from Freeport Bakery 20 yrs ago and I always remembered how good it was. Best Bakery in Sacramento!
We got married a few weeks ago at the Old Sugar Mill, and Freeport Bakery provided the most incredible desserts! First - we loved our tasting. The way Freeport sets up their cake tastings is so fun, we got to mix and match all the flavors we wanted to come up with the pairing that worked best for us. Our cake was a huge hit, and it was simply beautiful and delish. We also ordered caramel and strawberry cupcakes for the wedding and we received lots of complements about how amazing everything tasted. Freeport was so easy to work with, and we can’t wait to order more cupcakes for all our big life events along the way. We recommend Freeport for any event you might be planning - they’re so professional and lovely to work with, and their cakes are amazing! You won’t regret it :)

Overall Great Experience
Our consultant Shelby was amazing, she was full of energy & very Thorough. She was able to answer any questions that my fiancée & I had. She provided us with multiple options that fell within our budget as well as making suggestions to better fit what we were looking for. The cakes & filling that we tasted were delicious, especially the Coffee Mousse!!! We’re so glad that we were able to get out cake with Freeport.

Delicious fall wedding cake!
Freeport provided our wedding cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Our tasting was led by Shelby, who was very friendly and professional. We chose a three tier semi-nude cake that we had them decorate with fall fruit. We got a lot of compliments on the cake look and taste. We threw in an order of vegan chocolate cupcakes for our vegan guests. Many people commented on how delicious the cupcakes were and were shocked when we told them they were vegan. The entire process with Freeport bakery was very easy, the price was affordable, and the cake and cupcakes were amazing!
Our guest count was 90, but we chose to order cake for 100 and cupcakes for 50. We rented a cake stand and three tier cupcake stand.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Freeport. The Bridal Department is fantastic. We went to them twice during this wedding process- first for the Bridal Shower (a Tiffany's theme) and then for our official cake. I wanted to do the Southern Cake Pull tradition during the wedding, and they helped me implement this seamlessly. They took my visions for the cake and it came out exactly as I wanted. They transported it and put the flowers on too to ease our stress (for an additional fee- $25 for the flowers to be placed and $75 for the transportation). Many guests commented that it was the best cake they had ever had and I could not agree more.

I love love love Freeport Bakery! Our wedding cake was so heavenly! The entire process went so smoothly and the end product was above and beyond our expectations. The cake tasting was so yummy I could not wait to have our cake on our wedding day. For our cake we ordered all three tiers to be chocolate cake but the fillings were different: top tier: chocolate mousse , middle tier: caramel mousse, Bottom tier: mocha mousse and chocolate mousse. We also ordered a half sheet of buttermilk cake with chocolate buttercream. The Italian meringue for the outside frosting was so yummy! We chose the simple tri dot with "R" décor for the cake frosting and it was so pretty and elegant in person. Our cake all together with the topper and flowers was simply stunning!
I can't wait for our one year anniversary so I can have more of the cake! I 100% recommend Freeport Bakery. They have exceptional service and super delicious cakes.

We had our wedding at Scribner Bend Vineyards, and Freeport Bakery was on their list of preferred wedding vendors for the dessert. My husband and I are not a huge fan of cake, and we loved the idea of doing personal size pies for all of our guests, and just a small cutting cake for him and I. I was ecstatic when Lilly from Freeport sent me photos of past weddings they had done this for, and couldn't wait to meet with her.
For the tasting, my husband had to work so I went on my own. Lilly had everything ready to go, and gave tons of things to try, and every single thing I tasted was absolutely delicious! I even loved the cake! She even packed a giant to go box with everything labeled so I could take it home to my husband for him to try.
We were able to make changes all the way up until 2 weeks before our wedding and Savannah and Lilly were extremely responsive and accommodating to all my requests, questions and needs. Our guests raved about the pies, and our cutting cake was gorgeous and tasted delicious! We can't wait to order from them in the future for other special events. Thank you again to Freeport Bakery for helping to make our day so special and complete!

Freeport made our flourless (wheat free) single tier cake and an assortment of delicious treats for our dessert bar. We ordered more items than we thought we needed yet our bar was cleared in record time and our guests raving about the sweets! Our consultation appointment/ dessert tasting was easy (and fun :) and the team was always responsive to any questions we had. On the day of the wedding everything was delivered on time and looking gorgeous! I'm so thankful we picked Freeport as our wedding baker!

Freeport Bakery is a Sacramento staple. Their products are amazing. My fiance and I really enjoyed our tasting and was shocked at how reasonably priced our cake was. They even let us do two different flavors at no extra cost. We sent them an email photo of what we want our cake to look like, and they said they can match it exactly. Cannot wait to see it all come together at the wedding!

I loved everything about our wedding cake and the planning process. The tasting was great, the cake options were beautiful while still providing options for staying on budget. Freeport Bakery is one of my husbands favorites so when it came time to choose a cake Freeport was top of the list. They were amazing to work with. The created exactly what I had envisioned and the cake was delicious! We got a small cake for us to cut and sheet cake for our guests. We did the fruit basket sheet cake and everyone LOVED it. I had many of our guests come up to me telling me how good the cake was and that they had multiple slices. If you want a beautiful delicious cake go with Freeport!

The wedding consultants were amazing. The appointment was so much fun. We knew we wanted to do a dessert bar with a small anniversary size cake for us to cut. The tasting was AMAZING. So many options, styles, flavors, colors, designs. It was heaven. We ended up purchasing a cake (just for us to cut) and then ordering mini cupcakes (different flavors) for our guests. We wish the wedding venue would allow us to bring more outside bakery items because the fruit tart and eclair that Freeport offered were the best that we have ever tried. We have since been back for breakfast and just to order sweets on occasion. LOVE THIS PLACE.

We decided on a two tier cake and sheets which we could all order with different flavors. They give you lots of suggestions of what your cake can look like, you can choose from many pictures in their suggestion book. I chose a design that was close to what they offered but not exactly like it so I was excited to see the end result which was beautiful. My florist added flower arrangement on it which made it the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. I loved how flexible Freeport Bakery was with the design and also sending the paperwork to me earlier. We can definitely recommend Freeport Bakery.

There were so many delicious flavors from which to choose! We went with a 7" round cake for the "cake cutting", and then three different flavors of cake pops for the guests.
The icing on the cake pops coordinated with the wedding colours.

I couldn't be happier with our cake from Freeport Bakery! The cake magically appeared while we were taking pictures, the topper with placed perfectly. We selected a 2-layer cake with white butter cream, a ribbon at the base of each layer in our color and a fondant ribbon draped down the cake with sheet music printed on it. They took a PDF of our song and printed it perfectly. We selected to have a different flavor for each layer and they were to die for. If you have the opportunity, you MUST try the lemon curd filling with the lemon poppyseed cake. Everything was moist, fluffy and tasted divine. My husband has already requested that I order a cake from them for his birthday next year. We'll definitely be order from them again for special events.

Free cake tasting, great service, and more importantly an amazing product. This place is amazing. We didnt do a large cake, but a smaller cutting cake with cupcakes and cake pops. My Cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious, everyone at my wedding loved it! My only complaint would be that they do not have a refrigerated truck to transport, my menu was about 40 miles from their bakery and I worried a little about the cake melting, but it all worked out just fine.

The caterers at Freeport Bakery were professional at all times. They were very helpful and listened to what you wanted and made the ordering easy. Their wedding cakes are beautiful and delicious! Our guests were satisfied and kept complementing on the taste of our wedding cake even after we've been married for a month! Our wedding cake consisted of a few different cake flavors and filling combos to accommodate everyone's taste buds and they were all very delicious! Our favorite cake combo is the rich fudge cake and strawberry buttercream filling. We will definitely be ordering our 1 year anniversary cake as well as our future celebrations to come!!

Freeport Bakery was such a great joy to work with for our wedding cake. We wanted cupcakes for the guests and a small cake for us and they were willing to work with us. They created amazing cupcakes that were so beautiful and tasted amazing. We were able to pick 4 types of cupcakes! It was great! We loved the ability to have variety. We also had to consider our vegan guests and Freeport was more than prepared to accommodate us! They had amazing chocolate vegan cupcakes for our guests, as well as lemon, strawberry, and red velvet. All four were delicate and delicious. Our guests couldn't stop raving about them! They also matched our color (coral) to the frosted hearts put onto the cake and the cupcakes! Freeport also created a unique cupcake for my husband, as our wedding is also his birthday. They were great to work with and I can't wait to go back and have about 5 of their cheese danishes. Everything in this bakery is to die for. We already are planning our 5 year anniversary JUST so we can order from Freeport.

After a disappointing experience with a different bakery in Folsom, we had to find a back upright away with only 3 days left for our wedding reception. Luckily, we only wanted A very small 7" cake to have for our reception at a restaurant. When speaking with the employees, they were easily available and happy to assist us right away. They were more than friendly and were flexible with jus, but more importantly they paid attention to our requests. We are so happy that the other bakery failed us... Everything happens for a reason. We got the champagne strawberry cake and it was beyond delicious! A thousand times better than the cakes we originally tried in Folsom. We were very happy to have come here and will continue to get cakes here in the future!

After tasting options at other local bakeries, we were absolutely floored with the quality and value in Freeport Bakery. Hands down, the best cakes and frosting around! My husband and I are so happy with how our wedding cake and cupcake tower turned out, and we couldn't have been treated any better by Freeport staff. They created just what we had imagined, and even helped to create my dream Vanilla-Almond buttercream frosting!! Don't look anywhere else :)

Like everyone else here has already mentioned, Freeport Bakery has terrific service. Our wedding cake looked even better than we were expecting. There is a reason why Freeport Bakery is known for creating the best wedding cakes in Sacramento.

Freeport did an awesome job for our wedding. We had a dessert bar for our wedding, so order a cake an a ton of various little desserts. Everything was delicious. They did such a great job on our cake. I brought in a picture to the consultation and our cake looked exactly like the picture.

I had two wedding cakes made by Freeport Bakery. We sat down with someone and sampled every type of cake and topping offered. They followed the pictures exactly how I wanted the cakes done and gave me a total of everything before I signed a contract. The cakes were delivered ontime without any issues and the cakes were beautiful and delicious! I highly recommend Freeport Bakery for wedding cakes!

I went cake tasting at several cake places and Freeport Bakery was the best. I wanted cupcakes and they made them exactly how I wanted. The butter cream is very delicious. I appreciated their helpful staff and also their timely delivery.

We ordered 4 different flavors of cupcakes and a 7 inch cake to top off our cupcake stand. It was divine! The cake was so moist, so delicious, so flavorful. The icing was amazing and the overall look of everything was exactly what we asked for. We could not have been happier. Everyone at the wedding commented with true surprise on their faces about how delicious the cake was and that they had to try 2 or 3 cupcakes because they were just all so good!

After thinking about our wedding cake there was only one place I wanted to go and that was Freeport Bakery. Their cakes are made in a small shop but they pack a big punch! I ordered the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting filling and butter cream frosting and the the buttermilk cake with a strawberry filling and butter cream frosting. The staff leading up to the wedding were very helpful and they would always check in with me before adding or removing anything to my order. From the pictures the cake looked beautiful, it arrived on time and I was highly satisfied with the fresh taste of the cakes. The cakes that are made with butter cream do cost a bit more than fondant but the upgrade is totally worth it. Everyone raved about the cake and it was a big hit! I highly recommend this to all brides in the Sacramento area!

Freeport Bakery did such an amazing job on my wedding cake...I couldn't of been more happier with the results. I had a 3 tier cake, with 3 full sheet cakes hidden in the back for additional cake and they nailed everything I had asked for. From the buttercream flavor, the cake flavor, the beautiful design on my cake & delivering the cake, on word, PERFECT! I recommend all the future Brides/Grooms to choose Freeport Bakery, you will not be disappointed. I loved my wedding cake and again choose Freeport Bakery.

Freeport Bakery did an amazing job on our wedding cake! We had a non-traditional cake that had a ton of detail. When we met for the consultation we left feeling like they got exactly what we were envisioning for our cake and on the day of the wedding when we saw the finished product it was executed perfectly! Not only did it look fantastic, but it tasted amazing! They have some of the best tasting cakes I personally have ever tasted.
