Forest House Lodge was so amazing with our wedding planning process. They helped things go so smoothly that we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day. The ceremony location is a dream and the reception location allowed us to celebrate all night long! 10/10 recommend! -

Where do I even start? We had the best, most fun and beautiful wedding at the Forest House Lodge. Our wedding coordinator was Chenoa and she was truly a lifesaver and an amazing teammate in planning and executing our wedding. We had a couple extra special touches we wanted at our wedding and Chenoa was there every step of the way putting us at ease, fighting our battles, and doing whatever she could to make the day absolutely perfect for us.
The staff at the FHL is also truly wonderful. As the bride, they made me feel like everything was handled and I had zero worries on the big day. They also provided us with amazing service and extra special touches and surprises we weren’t expecting throughout. They really know how to put on a wedding, and they really know what the happy couple needs. The drinks were great, the food was top-notch, and everyone agreed that this wasn’t your typical wedding fare and many people told us how great the food was. The day after we were still reeling from how smoothly everything went and how truly perfect our big day was.
Finally, the venue. The ceremony site is breathtaking. The patio for cocktail hour is beautiful. The reception area is amazing and a great place to keep the party flowing nicely all evening. The “playroom” for the afterparty is so fun and has something for everyone. The rooms offered are just what your guests need after a night of partying, and breakfast the next day? Just want you need after all that booze. If you want a beautiful wedding and the greatest party of your life, the FHL is your place.

Best Venue Ever!
Forest House Lodge was the best venue! Not only is it beautiful and have the best staff, they also take all the stress of a wedding away and are definitely worth the price tag. We were supposed to get married 5/2020 but had postpone because of COVID. They made sure we were taken care of and offered us a new date a year later without any extra fees. In a time of uncertainty, they guided us through the crazy. I had a few extra precautions I wanted to add because of covid and they happily obliged.
As for the finer details, the food was delicious, the cake was beautifully made and exactly what we wanted. I loved that we gave them our colors and general theme and they executed the decor perfectly. My guests raved about Trevor, the bartender (we do too!). They went above and beyond after hearing my grandma had passed a few months earlier and they suggested a special tribute for her. Which was something we didn't even know we needed.
Not only will your actual day be amazing if you choose this venue but their food tasting night was a blast as well. Being able to connect with other brides helped me find my seamstress. As well as see how a party can be thrown there.
If you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful and friendly venue you won't go wrong with Forest House Lodge. -

This review is a little late, I apologize, however it has taken me this much time to reflect on this amazing experience.
We were married on September 18th, 2020 with our original date of July 31st 2020 having to be rescheduled due to COVID.
I cannot say enough great things about this place in a review, but I will try.
From the beginning of our journey with the Forest House Lodge, it was absolutely meant to be. Our first meeting with Jennifer Price in March of 2019 was nothing short of wonderful. She sat with us and went over all of the details, answered all of our questions and there was no pressure to book right away, even though we did! She gave us the grand tour and even took us to the ceremony site in the snow!! It was gorgeous as expected and even though we couldn't see all of the details of the grounds we were won over between the venue itself and Jennifer's great personality and charm.
Fast forward to February 2020, we attended the big tasting party they held at the lodge and were able to party it up with some of the other couples who were due to get married in 2020. We met some lovely couples and had a great time, as well as getting to meet (unofficially) our wedding coordinator, CHENOA TAYLOR, who little did we know, would go above and beyond to help make our (my) visions come true!!!! This lady, where do I start, she walked me through the process on several occasions and was no less than a dream to work with!!! Even when our wedding was postponed when California shut down, Chenoa made sure that we were clear on everything, and she put me at ease when we were to reschedule. She made sure that my vision to make our guests as comfortable as possible during this COVID crisis by moving all events outdoors was made a reality and everything went off without a hitch (at least as far as I knew).
This place is like a well oiled machine. Every staff member is their own piece to your puzzle. They have only the best of the best running things here, and it is not hard to see why, Monica and Patrick (the owners) really know how to run things, and they do so very elegantly.
Fast forward again to the actual event- IT WAS NOTHING SHORT OF MAGICAL!!!
REHEARSAL- Everything from the check in to the actual rehearsal, to the rehearsal dinner and after party was just amazing!!! THE FOOD- AMAZING!! , THE BAR- AMAZING!!! Let me tell you, THE BAR- TREVOR HARRINGTON IS THE MAN!!! This guy really knows how to get things going and keep them going!!! He played all the jams and kept our party (and the drinks) flowing!!! AND THAT WAS JUST THE REHEARSAL NIGHT!!
WEDDING DAY- From the moment we got out of bed (in the very comfy and well kept rooms, I might add) was just the best experience I could have even dreamed of. They had breakfast ready for us and the banquet manager, HANNAH, was already getting things set up in the courtyard along with JULIE, JENNIFER, AND CHENOA!! These ladies are something else!!!
They made sure that our guests were well taken care of when they arrived and made sure we all had everything we could possibly want or need.
The ceremony and reception were just TO DIE FOR. I literally can't get over the services we received for what we paid!!! This place and all that comes along with booking here is OVER THE TOP!! A LITERAL STEAL!!!!!
THE CAKE ALONE!!! OH. MY. GOD. THE CAKE.-
MONICA (AGAIN, THE OWNER) SHE IS A LITERAL CAKE BOSS!!! Our cake was beautiful and delicious!! Our guests are still talking about it!!!
After our reception, we had access to the downstairs game room, which was EPIC!!! Again, Trevor Harrington kept our budget and alotted bar tab in check the entire time and kept us going until 6am!!!! We've never met a bartender with the skillset Trevor has, and I doubt we ever will!!! He is all around AWESOME!!!!!
IN CONCLUSION, THIS VENUE IS A DREAM COME TRUE!!!! From the first meeting to the last, you will not be disappointed!!! If you're looking at wedding venues and have your heart set on an outdoor venue with all the fixin's, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!! ALSO- I URGE YOU TO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE PRICING. IT SEEMED PRICY TO US AS WELL, but once you add up all the expenses individually- the cake, the catering, the alcohol, the wait staff, the decor, the lodging, the price per head on all these things, and the venue ALL SEPARATELY, NOT TO MENTION- AN AMAZING WEDDING COORDINATOR?!?!, I found all these things for a wedding of 100 to be much more than what they charge at the Forest House, and when you think about your wedding day, what are you really willing to sacrifice?!?!
A BIG THANK YOU TO: CHENOA, JENNIFER, TREVOR, HANNAH, JULIE AND MONICA SPECIFICALLY. YOU ALL WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US, AS I KNOW YOU DO FOR ALL OF YOUR COUPLES!!!

They’ll make your wedding amazing—no matter what!
We just had our wedding at Forest House Lodge on 3.14.2020. It was the most amazing day of our lives. Although we had about half of our guests cancel within the week before due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff worked with us to flex and adapt to everything from seating charts to decor, to housing shuffle, to a shuttle company that went MIA, to rainy day back up plans, and snow transport logistics, and made the entire celebration a raving success. This is the place you want to get married if you want a wedding that will turn out amazing no matter what and a venue staff that will take all of the hard parts out of the planning and day of coordination. I’m so happy we picked forest house lodge. Couple of notes on particularly wonderful things: great places to take photos indoors if rain, best cake I’ve ever had, fantastic all-inclusive package, great decor available for free, late nights allowed and encouraged, thoughtful staff that just make it work. -

We had so many guests said that our wedding was the best they had been too and we have to give 100% credit to the Forest House Lodge. Not only do they have a wonderful staff, the amount of time spent on the details to make our experience special and one of a kind for us, is quite simply out if this world. Unforgettable views, delicious food (and cake!!!!), and exceptional service is what you will receive with this venue. -

This place is awesome! They make the whole wedding planning process worry free. The fact that you get the venue for more than a few hours was a huge plus for us, now we can have the sleepover style that we were looking for and our guests don't have to worry about the drive home.
The whole layout of Forest House is amazing. There are rooms your guests can rent that all have a theme. The game room is a huge plus, and the food and cake are included in the price of the venue. I can't wait to get married here. -

Hands down could not have found a better wedding venue! I recently got married here on December 15, 2018 and am still on a high from how amazing the weekend was. They treat you like royalty and are so willing to help you bring any reasonable wedding wish to life. My style is unlike most wedding decor (we are more on the rock side/lots of black with skulls and metal music) and the crew at Forest House Lodge delivered better than I could have asked. This venue offers a package deal that includes meals, bar tab, rooms, wedding cake, decor..and yeah it does cost more than I could say but honestly I get why because of the level of the service and quality work you get. For instance, we had our dog in our wedding as our flower girl and minutes before the ceremony we can't find her leash..an employee comes out with her Kate Spade purse strap and gives it to me to use so that we don't have to resort to use a neon orange tie down. I mean come on, who else would do this for someone you don't even know!! And Trevor, the bar manager, hands down one of the coolest, most relaxed, and fun bartenders. I could go on and on about all the people here I am thankful for. If you are looking for a wedding venue, I highly recommend checking this place out! From the moment you start the tour you will be hooked. -

If I could give this venue 10 stars I would. I can’t say enough good things about them. Our wedding day was AMAZING and completely STRESS-FREE which is exactly what you want for such a large event.
Planning- They have an amazing team of coordinators who worked with us in the months leading up to our wedding. We first met with Brie who took in all of our details and got the ball rolling for us. She wound up taking a position elsewhere about a month or so before the wedding and she called me to personally let me know and assured me that I would be in good hands with Tuana. A few friends of mine thought this might be stressful for me, but they handled the situation in such a professional and dignified manner that I was not worried at all. Brie had filled Tuana in on all of our details and she called me within a couple days to personally review everything we had discussed and ensured that we were on the same page. Tuana was absolutely AMAZING. From the back and forth emails with photos for décor ideas, to ensuring they had some special liquor requests on hand (my husband is Serbian so having plum brandy at the wedding was a requirement haha), she handled everything with such grace and ease. I never felt stressed or concerned about anything with her.
Cake- We jokingly mentioned that we would love to have a hexagon shaped cutting cake and they totally made it happen. Monica is the owner of the lodge and the baker and she made the cutting cake look better than what we had imagined (and it was delicious).
Food- We barely ate the dinner entrees (typical of weddings) but what we did have was delicious and all the guests mentioned the food was great. They brought appetizers into the bridal suite and for our quiet time and they were delicious. They even made me some gluten free options which were amazing. We also had a few vegetarians in our group and they made them a special meal which they all said was delicious and they were very appreciative of having their dietary preferences honored.
Décor- They have an extensive collection of wedding décor which we used quite a bit of. Tuana and the rest of the coordinating team are experts at making an event look beautiful and on par with your theme so they frequently would come to me with ideas to make the venue look even better than what I could have possibly imagined. I told them to do whatever they felt looked good and use what they liked and the ceremony and reception décor turned out absolutely stunning.
Staff- The staff are absolutely what make this place stand out. I had a gift bag ready for Tuana to thank her for all her assistance, but by the next day, I was kicking myself for not having brought something to thank every single staff member there. EVERYONE made sure that we were well taken care of and that we wanted for nothing on our big day. All of the staff were so friendly, personable and most importantly- on top of their stuff. All of my bridal party and guests mentioned just how amazing the staff were. The bartenders were the highlight of the night and to this day my guests are raving about how fun they were and how they kept the party going. These people know their craft. You really leave there feeling like you gained a family. We can’t wait to go back for their annual cocktail party so we can see them all again.
Price- I realize that a lot of people mention that this venue is expensive. However, considering all that you get, this place really is a bargain. The price includes cake, exclusive use of the décor collection (we did beautiful non-floral centerpieces which saved us money on flowers), rooms at the lodge (a must because there is no “lights off, shut down” time), coordination and funds towards your bar tab (which went a lot further than I had thought). We actually wound up being under budget after all was said and done. This venue is 100% worth the cost.
Moral of the story is that this venue is the ultimate wedding venue. From the stunning ceremony site, to the staff, you cannot go wrong by hosting your wedding here. -
Lupe Sent on 08/06/2018Top notch all the way around. Plan early if you want to get the weekend you’re hoping for, because they book up quickly. The price the quote you is an “all in” price, so you don’t get any unexpected tax or tip bills later. The staff are incredibly friendly and responsive. The venue itself simply can’t be beat between the view at the ceremony and the game room basement at the reception. Huge bridal room, wonderful patio for first look photos, great food and tons of it, awesome bartenders...Our guests have repeatedly told us this was the best wedding they’d been to. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

The staff is so accommodating and helpful and do everything they can to make wedding day as stress free as possible. Brie is a ROCKSTAR and we cannot thank her enough for all of her help and ideas. She set up all our decorations and made our day so beautiful! Truly is the best coordinator ever! Our family and friends are still talking about what an awesome weekend they had there. They all loved how everything was right there and we didn't have to go anywhere and we got to "party" all weekend together. The food was delicious and also has been receiving comments ever since. Trevor is the best bartender we have ever met! To say that Forest House Lodge goes above and beyond would be an understatement. I would HIGHLY recommend booking your wedding here, you won't regret it! -

Kirstin Sent on 08/07/2017We had our wedding here at the beautiful Lodge on 1/13/17. Our wedding day was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. Huge shout-out to the amazing staff, who catered to all my crazy fun ideas, had their fingers crossed so I could have my magical snowy winter wedding, and for making it so that I had to do little but make choices. This venue is worth every penny of the cost and I could not possibly have imagined my wedding day being anything more perfect. Brie was my coordinator and I LOVED her so much as well as her spunk and Disney love like me. Also a huge shout-out to Trevor the bar tender, he went out of his way to make sure I had my special beer the whole time on the rehearsal day as well as the wedding day and was fun and friendly to all my guests. The food was absolutely amazing and my special Geode cake made by Monica was absolutely everything we wanted. We had a blast going "down the rabbit hole" to party all night long. This venue really does go above and beyond to make sure EVERYTHING is taken care of and perfect <3 -

We knew from the minute we visited that the Forest House Lodge was just that place. We can't recommend the FHL enough! We had a blast not only on our wedding day but also in the planning process (and have you ever heard anyone say that? ;) ). The FHL gave us the opportunity to visit many times and also offered us the opportunity through their tasting (Food is amazing, and they'll take special requests!) for our parents to meet well before the wedding at a time when they could really get to know each other. I'm also not the type of girl that dreamt of her wedding day as being the best day of her life - but the Forest House Lodge actually made it just that for my husband and I. :) We highly recommend any couple looking for a venue to at least visit the FHL and get a feel for just how special the venue and team are! :) -

Elizabeth Sent on 05/16/2016Just got back from our honeymoon and figured I'd tell you all a little about one of my favorite places on the planet. We spent some time looking online for wedding venues around the Fresno/Sacramento area and after looking at a couple places near the coast, we took the long drive up to Foresthill, CA and walked into Forest House Lodge. I was immediately convinced this was the place we would be getting married. The lodge is absolutely beautiful. Everyone who works there, especially Julie and Brie became almost family through all the planning and the big weekend. These people are wedding professionals. They know exactly what they are doing an will go out of their way to make your wedding exactly what you want it to be. There are a couple different packages you can pick from, we chose to have the lodge Thurs-Saturday. It was an amazing time. We had a pretty impressive threat of rain the day of our wedding but everyone assured me it would be fine, and everything still went perfectly.
I would definitely suggest using their preferred vendors. They really are the best.
If you're event remotely considering getting married here, please go see it for yourself. You won't regret it. I can't wait to go back next year for the cocktail party. -

All through the planning stages, I received great service as well. They were quick to respond to questions and were willing to cater the day just to your needs. The food was great, the lodge was beautiful and well maintained, and the views at the overlook are outstanding. I would highly recommend this place! -

The venue itself is not only beautiful but the people working for it are a reflection of it's beauty. If you want an all inclusive wedding day and night experience, phenomenal food and cakes made by professionals, and a place to crash after you are all done, I would choose this to be the venue of your dreams too. -

Julie Sent on 11/20/2008The Forest House is a beautiful and all inclusive wedding venue. When we booked with them, we got full use of the entire hotel for just our party, including 27 guest rooms for two nights, their beautiful Ceremony site located on a cliff in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, an amazing formal dinner, appetizers, and a delicious cake. The Forest House truly let's you do whatever you want, and the staff is super nice and helpful. Our wedding was stress free and beautiful. The hotel also boasts an amazing game room, complete with a pool table, shuffleboard, ping pong and Guitar Hero. Our guest had such a fun time, and it was truly a weekend to remember. My only hold up with the venue is this: until you have a signed contract, NOTHING is certain! We had a smaller, more intimate wedding, and ran into a few hiccups in actually booking the venue. That aside, we wouldn't have done a SINGE THING differently! The Forest House is an amazing venue, and we loved the "whatever you want, you got it" attitude! We had a vintage, 1920s themed wedding, so the historic Hotel was the most perfect setting we could have found anywhere! I highly recommend the Forest House, just be sure to have a signed contract in hand before you do too much planning.
