We used Evoke for our wedding last October 2023, and couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Our photographer James was exceptional! I am extremely picky with my photos and had a long list of do's and don'ts; he was exceptional. He made me feel like a Bride and a Model, which was very special, and he captured all the beautiful moments & vignettes through out our special day... which goes by so fast. I was so happy to go through all of our pictures and have all of those memories captured so beautifully and artfully! My husband and I also have a very large family and had a very large wedding party and James was able to grab everyone's attention and get the perfect shots quickly and beautifully!

Evoke did all photography and videography, it was hands down amazing!!! Al captured our engagement and bridal portraits and was our videographer. I forget the name of my photographer day of wedding but he was amazing as well. It's funny when they are taking pictures, some of the poses you are thinking I have to look so weird but then you see the final product and its better than I could have ever imagined. The office staff (Sara) was also so sweet and helpful answering all my questions and very prompt with responses.

I worked with Sara Case for both my engagement photos and wedding photos. The perfect photographer!
Thomas was AMAZING!! Everyone in the wedding party was raving about him and also how funny he was. He gave wonderful direction to everyone for the photos. All of the pictures are beautiful; its so hard to choose my favorites! He captured every aspect of the wedding and i love getting to see it all back. He even tried to help me get the lipstick stain out of my dress before our grand entrance. Would definitely work with him again and recommend him to anyone

We loved working with Evoke! For all the planning and coordinating, we talked/emailed with Sara C. She is very knowledgeable and responsive. We had a few calls with her where she answered all our questions and walked us through a very detailed timeline for the day of the wedding. Yancy was our photographer and she did a fantastic job. The photos and album are amazing. So so happy with her work! Yancy also speaks Spanish which was so handy to coordinate pictures with our families. One if not my favorite vendor!

Choose Evoke!
Hallie is just the loveliest to work with! She shot our engagement photos and we requested her for our wedding photos as well, because of how fun and easy she was to work with, plus how amazing the engagement ones turned out that she took. The wedding ones were just... wow. Absolutely everything we could have wanted. She has such a talent, especially for candid shots. The posing was minimal but felt natural and turned our very nicely in photos too.
In terms of the company Evoke, they have been so easy to work with throughout the whole process. Their studio in Rice Village is beautiful, and when we visited to decide if we would book with them they went the extra mile by showing us photos they had taken at our actual venue previously to help us with planning. They were very communicative and organized prior to the wedding, as well as after, such as during the photo album design process. They offer such great quality in both the photos and the people there. Truly loved having them as our photographers and 100% recommend with no reservations.

Evoke is amazing! We did our engagement photos, bridal photos, wedding photos, wedding video, and wedding album with them. Al was our photographer for both engagements and bridals. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed, even though we’re both a little stiff and awkward in front of a camera. We were able to purchase all of the digital files for both sessions so that we could print out as many copies of as many different photos as we liked.
Thomas was our photographer for the wedding day and he was absolutely fantastic! The Thursday prior to the wedding day (Sunday) we had an hour+ phone call where we went over all of the extended family shots (and how to organize them so to use the least amount of time possible), any special shots that we wanted, our bridal party, and family dynamics. He went through everyone’s names and relations to us, and on the wedding day he was able to recall every single one of them. As someone who struggles with names, this was especially impressive to me. It also helped when trying to organize everyone. Instead of just saying Bridesmaid #1, Maid of Honor, or father of the bride, he was able to use first names and really get people’s attention. Everyone was impressed.
Thomas also took the time to set up a special photo for us, and Photoshop a dinosaur into the background so it looked like we were being chased (my husband is a huge fan of both the Jurassic Park books and movies). It is one of our favorite shots from the day, and we are so appreciative of the extra time and work that this special request took.
Charles was our videographer for our wedding and he was amazing as well. He was with Thomas for all the photos, but unobtrusive so as not to be in the way. We received a wedding highlight video as well as the entire ceremony, toasts, all dances, and a few well-wishes messages from our immediately family.
We would highlight recommend Evoke for all of your photography and videography needs!

“Couldn’t be happier with the work they did!” Doesn’t even begin to explain how amazing this company is! They photographed and videographed my wedding on 3.09.19 and the end results were AMAZING! Wonderful experience!
I used Evoke for my engagement photos, bridal portraits and wedding photography. Al did our engagement photos and my bridal portraits and he was wonderful to work with. Yancy photographed our wedding and was outstanding! From our first phone call a few days before the wedding, I knew we were in great hands with her. She made everyone feel really comfortable the entire time. We had time between the ceremony and the reception so Yancy drove my husband and I to Sabine St and we took some pictures there then took us to the reception. My family is large and it can be difficult to manage but Yancy was so kind and patient with us. We recently received our pictures back and we were blown away. Every photo looked amazing. You're in great hands with Evoke!

We had Sara do our engagements, bridals and the wedding. She knew how to make us comfortable so our pictures were more natural. She was always on time and quickly replied to emails and phone calls. The day of she made sure we had everything we needed and even brought us drinks at dinner! She made sure to capture pictures that we had specifically requested. She maximized time so we could get to the reception as quick as possible by doing some of the pictures before the ceremony. She has a great personality and was always smiling and laughing. Thomas went above and beyond for us. Not only did his photos turn out great (he captured so many precious but fleeting moments and demonstrated an amazing eye for framing, sentiment and detail), but he acted as our day-of coordinator (helped keep us on schedule and make weather-related adaptations) and served as our resource for everything wedding related (from how to look good in pictures to putting on a boutonniere and fixing my veil!) He had everything under control despite our tight schedule and chaotic venue, and it was because of him that we were able to fully enjoy our day and spend quality time with our guests. We received our photos 10 days after the wedding and were floored by their quantity and quality. He made us look like movie stars, whether indoors, outdoors, in the sun or in the rain! We also love Al, our engagement session photographer. He had the best attitude, was fun to work with, was knowledgeable, offered excellent artistic direction, and demonstrated amazing attention to detail. It was a hot April day but he wasted no time to take a break. He arrived before we did and had a game plan ready the minute we arrived! His photos exceeded our expectations: they were artful and not cheesy; natural but flattering! Everyone was blown away by our photos and wanted to know where we took them, but it was Al that made the difference! He made the location look so fancy when it was really just a parking lot outside a library and pub! Other aspects that I appreciated about Evoke include their responsive staff and easy payment system. Sara in particular was very patient, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process. She spent nearly an hour to discuss our wedding day timeline to make sure that it was feasible and made terrific suggestions. It is clear that everyone we worked with at Evoke are wedding experts, and even though the studio runs like a well-oiled machine, they care about each of their clients and make you feel important and cared for.

We worked with Evoke on our engagement, my bridal and wedding photos. Sara is awesome. She knows exactly what she is doing and has the process down! She got everyone posing and smiling and we were way ahead of schedule going into our reception!
We added video to our package at the last minute and we are soooo glad we did. Guillaume did our our video and we got our highlight video back in a little over a week. My daughter was married on 9/29/17 in a large wedding at the Parador in Houston. the venue was large and had lots to offer for the camera teams. We also had a surprise "flash mob" that was difficult to capture....but capture they did. When the brides told me that the proofs were ready...I did not realize that there would be so many wonderful shots to choose between. I am still unable to edit their work. Gorgeous shots inside and out...truly lovely work on stills and the video.

He was very professional and tried his best to make everyone feel comfortable. Most French people were not used to being photographed and he made sure that the photo sessions went as fast as possible. Even almost a month after the wedding, my family is still commenting on how awesome Al was and how much they enjoyed him being there. The pictures he took are stunning and it's so easy to see how much he loves doing this.

We booked Sara for our wedding in May 2016 and couldn't be more excited! We were referred by a friend who said "Evoke goes above and beyond". That is exactly what we wanted/needed. I had a great experience with Al. I would shoot with him again and would recommend him. Though it can be awkward taking pictures, Al's attempts to cut the akwardness is much appreciated.
I wish I would have known that my dress/bustle was messed up from me sitting in the chairs. I was unaware and it being messed up ruined some pictures that I liked. I believe I have enough skills to photoshop it out, though. So, no worries. I just hope it isn't as obvious in the video.
We were pressed for time, but I would have liked more pictures with just me and John. Unfortunately, the wedding was delayed a little and we did not do a first look, so that cut into our picture time. I LOVE the ones we have though, Al posed us perfectly! Thanks again!

I have to say that I loved my photography and videography!!! There were so amazing and treated us like Family! I have to acknowledge the team that I worked with. First I have to say thank you to Brandi! I love her she was amazing she helped me create the image that i wanted for my wedding. I was able to talk to her about so many things outside of just photography. She made me so comfortable I absolutely love Evoke. Also I loved Thomas my photographer or the day of the wedding, Brandi helped me choose the photographer that fit my personality. Thomas was exactly who I needed he felt my vibe and was trying to help me capture my memories, I had so many amazing compliments from our family. Also I loved my videographer Roman he literally captured every moment on the dance floor. We loved him he was always moving around on the dance floor and all over the place having fun with family and capturing every moment. Again, I loved Evoke Photography they are amazing! I definitely will use them for my Family portraits! Any one wanting amazing pictures need to definitely consider Evoke you will not be disappointed!!!!

I spent quite a bit of time researching photographers before we landed on Evoke photography - and I couldn't be happier with our decision! Evoke Photography gets an A+ in my book. From our very first consultation all the way through the actual wedding, Evoke did a great job. Our photographer, Sara, did our engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and the wedding. All of our pictures turned out great. What we really loved is that the pictures had a more artistic look to them, which my now Husband wanted. We did get the traditional shots too, but the overall theme was very artistic. Sara was so great to work with and felt like she was a friend through this process. I would definitely recommend Evoke!

I loved the photos that Jason at Evoke took for our wedding!! They did an absolutely amazing job!! They were reasonably priced and the photos were well worth the money! They turned out beautiful words really can't express how happy we are with the pictures and the whole experience!!! Jason our photographer was very fun to work with and a really nice and intelligent guy! He took all the photos with no direction because I had no idea what to do, he was on top of his game and took the most amazing wedding photos I've ever seen! The office staff is friendly and they are very accessible and helpful! Overall experience was fabulous!!!!

We hired Evoke Photography for our Engagement photos, Bridal Portraits, Wedding day photography and videography! I was referred to them by a friend who had used them for her wedding and she had nothing but praise! My husband and I completely understand why!
We were lucky to have Al be our photographer for our Engagement shoot, as well as my Bridal portraits and our Wedding! The "A" in Al's name is for *AWESOME*!!! What a blast he was to work with and the shots he captured were amazing and beautiful!
Our wedding was on 2/15/14---and we definitely had the best in Photography and Videography with the Evoke team. Al and Jason was on point and captured so many great shots...we're waiting to see the proofs, but know that we will not be disappointed considering how great the Engagement and Bridal Portraits turned out! Roman was our videographer and we can't wait to see how the video turns out; he definitely didn't miss a beat capturing everything from the wedding ceremony to the reception! Great videography! I loved Charles our photographer. He was so much fun and got lots of great shots without being in the way. The video guy was so unobtrusive and professional I hardly knew he was even there and the end result was fantastic. We love the short little video--the editing is super! The photos look really neat- some with a vintage appearance while still being chic and modern. They did a great job and despite taking 5 weeks to get my photos in a gallery--it was worth the wait. I love the pictures! The staff at EVOKE was also great to work with. Only question is why they shipped my photos when I was coming in to pick up the photo CD...but I guess its easier for them. Kudos to them for getting the pictures to me before Christmas. I am one happy bride:)

My photographer was Al with Evoke. Al is professional and a true visionary. My experience having him as a photographer was excellent from beginning to end. He made me feel relaxed capturing some really interesting and artistic shots. The overall quality was superb. I did both the Bridal and Engagement shoots and was very pleased with the pictures. I am currently waiting on my pictures from the wedding and the video portion which I am sure will be great. Evoke definitely surprised me. I first heard of them at one of the Houston wedding shows, and honestly, I did not expect much from them. I figured they would be as overpriced and as inattentive/generic as the other big names that lost their personal touch once they went huge. But, let me tell you, was I wrong.
Jaime (coordinator), Al (bridal photographer, and Thomas (wedding photographer) all really made the difference in the whole experience. Because of them, we were able to have beautiful memories on print, along with raving reviews and compliments on our pictures. Jaime went above and beyond in making sure that every piece was flawless. I commend him for his knowledge, patience (definitely needed with my mother and me lol), and charisma. Next, Al was so easygoing! My mom and I had just had an argument with our florist 5 minutes before we showed up stressed to my bridal shoot, and Al did not hesitate once in trying to turn our day around. He made my shoot feel like a model shoot with the music he played and attention he gave me. Last, Thomas was our savior! He made sure he captured every shot on our list, and even managed to organize our gigantic families into pictures within the short time frame the church gave us. The whole night, our guests kept complimenting how slick he was in getting the best shots, without interrupting the setting and standing out like a sore thumb. I needed spontaneous pictures, and that's what he realized for us.
Thanks Evoke!!!!!! You all blew my mind!

They are super quick to respond and our wedding video was completed very quickly. The wedding video is exactly what we wanted. Our photographer, Al, was amazing!!! He made taking pictures fun! He was great with directions, not only explaining, but showing you how he'd like you to pose. He had great ideas! I left my bridal portraits feeling like a movie star, I felt so good about how he made me look!! And the quality of the photos were amazing!!! The engagement pictures were so much fun too!! Everyone loves how you can see how much fun we are having in the pictures! And I don't usually enjoy taking pictures! I loved my photographer!!! He was amazing with everything that he did. We went for a Alice in Wonerland theme engagement session and he nailed it! Then he did exactly what I wanted with my bridal portraits. I have yet to see my wedding day pictures but from what I have seen that people took they are going to be amazing. My photographer had such an eye for everything :) I love details and candid pictures and that is what he does. Everything they do is wonderful. We booked Evoke after being referred to them by Lisa at Sweetwater Country Club. We worked with Al for our engagement shoot. He is very nice, great at getting a genuine smile out of you and fun to work with. He had a lot of creative ideas and you can tell he knows what he is doing. He wasn't afraid to get down on the ground to get a good shot. They had our pictures posted for viewing on the internet in less than a week! Kenzie was our photographer for our wedding, right from the beginning our personalities meshed very well. He called a few days before the wedding and went over everything in a lot of detail. He is a complete sweetheart. If you want something specific just tell him he will get it! He was very open to doing whatever we wanted. He took so many pictures. He also blended very well into the crowd and I barely noticed him. Our guests did comment that he was clicking away all night. And boy did he take a lot of photos!! He is very easy to work with. Our pictures were posted online in two weeks! We were able to choose our photos and order our album right away as well. They have been a pleasure to work with.

I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Evoke was. Throughout the whole wedding process we were stunned by the quality of service and products. Our package included engagement, bridal and wedding photos. Evoke worked with us to get our dogs in our engagement photos and gave us credit for the Bridal setting towards our wedding photos and album. We also got our digital negatives for free. The quality was superior to any photographs I've seen from my married Friends, we made the best choice for the money and for the service. I send everyone I know to Evoke.

Sara was awesome. She was very energetic and encouraging. She made me feel very comfortable taking pictures. My vision of what I wanted came to life through her pictures. Whenever I have life events, she and evoke will be the first one I call.

Al was my photographer for Bridals and Engagements and we could not have been more happy with the results he gave us!! Stunning pictures that we will TREASURE forever. Brandi joined Al for our BIG night and she was absolutely amazing to work with!!! So much fun :)

My experience with Evoke Photography could not have been better!!
Tomas was our photographer and he was great! He blended in like any other guest at the wedding and took as many "posed" photos as possible for the ceremony so my husband and I could enjoy spending time with our guests during the wedding.
After the wedding all of my guests told me how impressed they were with the photographer and how much fun they had at the wedding and enjoyed the pictures to remind them of the great night.
Additionally, Evoke keeps the costs down by not forcing brides into a package with a photo album which can be pricey. Instead, each couple gets a CD with copyright release for all photos taken during the wedding and they can purchase photos from Evoke after the images are touched up.
I would recommend Evoke to anyone looking for an established, affordable and professional wedding photographer!

Everything went so well with our photographer. He was very receptive & used our entire photo list. We found him very laid back & easy to work with. The only thing was the office staff sometimes would not pass along messages or perhaps got lost. There can be better communication with the administrative staff.

Evoke is a wonderful company to work with. From the time my husband and I went into the studio to discuss our wedding plans down to the final pics, everything was really great. I loved Al who did my bridal portraits and our engagement photos. Although he was not our photographer for the wedding, Tina did an amazing job as well. I was also very impressed with Jamie who spent over an hour with me helping me set up our wedding album exactly to my liking. I also have to thank Marissa for answering any questions I had. The only reason I did not give Evoke 5 stars was because my husband and I both understood that we would own the rights to our pictures when we received the CDs with all of our pictures on them. Due to the amount of money we paid to Evoke, we thought for sure that was included and don't recall anyone ever correcting us because we are sure we asked this question. Overall, our experience with all of the staff at Evoke and the quality of our pictures was phenomenal. Thank you Evoke for making our wedding day so special!

Evoke was great to work with. I had Al take my bridal photos. We had a few hiccups when the place I had chosen for the photos decided that they no longer allow photo shoots. Al was a quick thinker and we were able to find an alternative location. For my wedding day, we had Thomas. He was amazing! I cannot even convey how awesome he was. He was prepared for everything. He even helped me when my bustle broke! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very professional during the wedding and reception. Took lots of pictures. So many good pictures hard to make the final picks for the album. The only problem we had was setting up appointments for engagement and wedding portraits. Not really Evoke's problem because of the Bride's work schedule. But everything turned out fine and got some beautiful pictures.

I"ll start with the one drawback, which is that they are one of the few photographers I saw that do not include rights to the images with your package. Our engagement photo shoot was a little rocky, our photographer showed up an hour late to an outdoor site in August, but Weihan (not at the engagement shoot) was absolutely fantastic at the wedding ceremony and reception. He adapted the shots to our ceremony and reception sites, and created some very fun, and beautiful photographs. The candid shots that he took at the reception are absolutely fabulous, and everyone looks great in them.

My husband and I were pleased with the service Evoke provided for us. Very friendly, flexible and courteous company. We had to re-schedule some of our appointments, but they were understanding and they worked around our schedules. Prices are reasonable and you can't go wrong purchasing the copyrights of your photos!

Loved the pictures we got back. They did a great job of taking the pictures we requested as well as finding photo opportunities we didn't consider. Pricey, but on the low side of what photographers apparently cost. I also *really* liked that they are giving us digital copies and copyrights to the pictures, rather than trying to get us to purchase prints.

Thomas was wonderful. He filled in for Sara at the last minute and he called me to ask about my expectations and ensured we were on the same page. He had a great personality and my family, friends and guests loved working with him. He even brought an assistant and captured great shots for us.

Evoke is the best value for your money in Houston. There are several photographers, and you can choose which one you'd like if they are available on your wedding day. I had Al, who was absolutely amazing with the camera. My engagement pictures were great, and you could really tell we were having fun during the photo session. I just saw my wedding photos posted online, and there really aren't very many bad pictures. Al does a great job keeping your smile real by doing funny things behind the camrea.
I did not have Al for my bridal protrait and did these photos in the studio. I was not happy with any of my bridal portrait pictures, but after hearing feedback, Evoke offered to give me another session for free. I was not impressed with the lighting effects the photographer did in the studio, and most of my smiles were fake because I was getting bored. But I thought it was very professional for Evoke to offer me a second free bridal photo shoot.
I would highly recommend Evoke to anyone getting married in the Houston area.

If you want great photos and video of your big day, use Evoke. All their staff are so talented and easy to work with. They make sure they get all the shots you want, you just have to let them know.
