Carin went above and beyond for planning our wedding in September! She is very knowledgeable, was easy to talk to, was responsive to all of our questions and our needs, and made sure everything was taken care of. She also made sure we got to connect with each other multiple times throughout the whole planning process, giving us timelines and reassuring us that we were on the right track to getting things done on time. During our wedding weekend Carin and Olivia were there every step of the way for us and our family. We also had many of our friends and family praise her for getting everything done/keeping everything on track. We are so happy we went with her, and we absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding planner! -

Carin gets it done!
We worked with Carin based on a referral and had the medium planning package. From the start her rate was transparent and competitive and she was so solutions oriented. She made sure we discussed and planned for every detail with plenty of lead time. Every recommended vendor was exactly what we were looking for. The day of, she executed our wedding flawlessly despite plenty of obstacles, and we were able to enjoy it all. Cannot recommend her enough! -

April Wedding at the Intercontinental at the Wharf
I highly recommend Karin at Events Extraordinaire. She went above and beyond to make our event truly spectacular. Karin is professional, creative, and flexible. She had some unique challenges with our event and handled everything so smoothly. She is on top of everything and worked so well with all of our vendors. -

Hire Carin!
We worked with Carin after finalizing the venue, photographer, and band to plan the finer details (florist, cake, invites, linens, etc.). She is super personable, and had the connections to bring the event together seamlessly. We had a joint Jewish and catholic ceremony and she really helped make everything flow smoothly.
10/10 recommend working with her!

Party of the Year
We cannot speak highly enough of Karen and her team. She was extremely easy to work with. Karen really took the time to get to know my now husband and I, and understand the type of wedding celebration we were seeking. She adhered to our budget but also personalized the event in every way. We continue to hear from friends and family that the event was one for the record books, which was exactly what we wanted. We are so grateful to Karen and her team and would absolutely use her again for any future events we might host. -

Wonderful! Hiring Carin is the best decision you will make!
Working with Carin was wonderful. Our wedding ran very smoothly thanks to Carin. She was always available prior to the big day for meetings and questions. On our wedding day, she checked in with us frequently throughout the night to make sure we had what we needed. She even did small things like handing me my lipstick prior to photos and making sure I had my “comfy shoes” at my seat so I could slip into them during the reception. These are just a few examples of the many things she did for us! -

Fantastic!
We hired Carin and her team for full wedding planning only five months before the wedding [50 guests] with only the venue under contract. She pulled everything else together for us in that short time: the save the dates & invitations, the photographer, the band, the florist, hair and makeup, hotel room blocks, a dinner the night before and a brunch the day after. For some vendors she gave a couple choices and I ultimately chose, on others she only gave the one. Every single vendor was FANTASTIC and they all worked together seamlessly because Carin knows them well and organized everything perfectly.
We had sooooo many compliments on our wedding and it's Carin that made that happen. I suggest you hire her, and when you do, do what she says! If, months before the wedding, she says "get the thank you cards printed at the same time as the invitations, then you don't have to worry about it after the wedding". Do it. She knows what she's talking about!-

Dream Team
My husband and I worked primarily with Carin and Lauren and they went above and beyond to make our wedding day exactly what we envisioned! We worked with Carin's team as our partial wedding planners but it often felt like they were there every step of the way to bounce ideas off of and brainstorm how to best create a wedding that captured both my husband and myself to make it authentically us. While we were excited to begin the wedding planning process, we quickly learned that we needed help. Not only did we get help, but Carin and Lauren made it truly fun! They work together giving off an energy that is supportive and caring while maintaining transparency and honesty. Myself being a very type "A" bride struggled to balance some of the wedding planning pressures but Carin and Lauren's dose of reassurance and go with the flow attitude (whilst still being on top of every aspect of planning) was exactly what I needed. We appreciated their very nice but necessary pushes when we needed to make decisions that were difficult for us. They stepped up for us when we had an unexpected situation occur and took on a huge responsibility that was not on their to do list to help us out. Planning your big day requires surrounding yourself with people you can trust and Carin and Lauren were exactly that. If you are looking for a team that will have your back, put your interests first, and be your hype women -- look no further. I can't wait to continue my relationship with Carin and Lauren with the hopes to work with them for future occasions. Brides, if I could give my pre-wedding self one piece of advice, it would be to stress less and enjoy more -- this is entirely possible when you have a team like Carin's supporting you. -

Incredible Experience!
Carin and Lauren went above and beyond to make our day special. From helping with timelines, breaking out the planning tasks in an easy way month by month, insight on decisions, walkthroughs and tastings, and being by our side, they set us up so well for the big day. Incredible Professionals - Highly Recommend
Lauren did such an incredible job coordinating our wedding at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown! Events Extraordinaire are truly professionals at what they do. Lauren was always on top of things, extremely responsive and organized. She made sure I was never worried on my wedding day and calmed me down throughout the planning process. She reached out to all the vendors ahead of time, kept in close contact with the venue manager, band, and photographers. I attribute the success of my wedding to Lauren's coordination skills. You have to have a good planner, especially when you are spending all this money on a wedding. To me, Lauren was like a professional chef who was able to take all the finest ingredients and turn them into a fabulous dish! Absolutely perfect!
Sami was our day of coordinator and she was fantastic! She was great to work with leading up to the wedding day and was super flexible if I made any last minute changes. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect! Everything ran smoothly, all the decor was exactly how I envisioned, if not better. Exceeded every expectation!
Events Extraordinaire was the coordinator for my son’s wedding at 2941. Their familiarity with the staff and the venue helped to provide a completely flawless event. They took care of every need and if a problem ever came up it went away without us ever knowing about it. They stuck with us for a Covid 1 year delay and were flexible and helpful every step of the way. Completely awesome experience. -

Lifesaver, Creative, Multi-Tasker, and Proactive
Due to covid and having a micro wedding of 16 guests we really went back and forth on the idea of needing a wedding coordinator, but now we wished we hired Carin from the start of the process! Two months before the wedding we came to realize that with our work schedules, getting ready for the wedding, and dance classes there was little to no time in making sure the actual day went smoothly. When we started looking into wedding coordinators we interviewed and discussed our needs and wants, and found Carin was the only coordinator who was not only honest but provided details of her thoughts and solutions if certain events occurred. She also went through our list and contracts and made us realize that as detailed as we thought we were we missed a few minor details that were optional, but we did not think of. Such as custom napkins for the cocktails! With Carin's help, she provided assistance in procuring napkins, guest signing pictures, and other miscellaneous items we would never have thought of. She was also an amazing help with the wedding programs for our catholic ceremony. The night before our wedding we experienced some shocking news that would affect everything we had planned for the reception, but Carin was quick and managed everything with the venue and vendors. On the day of the wedding, she managed to keep us on schedule without feeling overwhelmed or rushed, and also made sure to provide sufficient notice to our guests when their toast or dance was coming up. The day went by as quickly as everyone said, but we remember every moment thanks to Carin. She is an amazing woman who was always there when we had a quick question or anxious about a certain item. She even let us borrow a sword for the cake cutting at the reception! -

Amazing wedding planner to work with!
Deciding to work with Carin might have been the best decision my husband and I made when it came to wedding planning! Planning a wedding for 400+ people across the country is no easy task and I am grateful that we had Carin by our side! Due to COVID, we made the tough decision of postponing our June 2020 wedding to October 2020 at a smaller scale. Carin made the process smooth for us by contacting all vendors and figuring the best dates based on their availability. If there was ever an issue, she would first figure out the solution before even telling you there was a problem. Carin is organized, creative, patient, and honestly fun to work with! Anytime I wanted to talk, she would make time to chat and our phone calls always left me feeling less stressed. We really appreciated her personalized approach over the past year. From the beginning, we could tell Carin truly cared about getting to know us and our family. She took the time to listen to our vision and priorities. She has an amazing network of vendors and we loved everyone she suggested to us. They worked with us to bring to life our vision while staying within budget. On our wedding day, Carin was attending to every detail and made sure that we were following COVID guidelines. Our wedding day was a dream come true, and all our families can't stop talking about it. Carin was extremely helpful on the day of our wedding and throughout the planning process! We purchased a “month of” coordinator package but had a couple planning meetings with her throughout the planning process including several months before the wedding. She helped us come up with the timeline for the day (which worked out perfectly) and coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure they were all on the same page. She gave us lots of good ideas and suggestions to help make our day more special and/or run smoother. On the day of our wedding Carin was a life safer! She handled the setup at the venue and any of the little hiccups throughout the day (like a quick rain storm 15 mins before our outdoor ceremony) so my family and I could enjoy the day with no stress! Lastly, she was extremely flexible to work with when we had to reschedule our wedding from May to August due to the coronavirus virus (no additional fees or charges for changing the date). I would highly recommend her services if you want a low stress wedding day!! We can’t thank Carin enough for helping us have a perfect wedding day (even in the middle of a pandemic)! -

New Years Eve Wedding
Karen was amazing to work with. Without her, I am 100% confident we would not have been able to pull off our wedding. Rachel Weisman of Events Extraordinaire didn't deliver our dream wedding, because she provided more than we could ever dream of. Dealing with her on a professional level was easy- she was quick to reply when we had questions, took care of all the little details behind the scenes, helped us navigate common wedding planning snags, and was always prepared and on-time. Rachel's ability to connect with us on a personal level, however, was the reason she was able to capture our vision. Throughout the planning process, it felt more like we were planning with a longtime friend who knew the ins and outs of our personalities. Best wedding planner a bride could ask for!
Events Extraordinaire is AMAZING! I honestly don't know what I would have done without Carin, our wedding coordinator, who worked so hard to ensure that we had a perfect wedding. Carin is detail oriented, has great taste, and makes sure that you are happy every step of the way in the planning process. Without her, planning would have been beyond stressful, but she took all of that stress away and made sure that every little thing was perfect on our wedding day. She was also fantastic on the wedding day by making sure that we stayed on track, got all of the photos we wanted, and did everything we wanted to do, without my husband or I feeling at all rushed or overwhelmed. Carin and her team are truly incredible. Right when we started planning a wedding, I knew we needed a planner. I was not equipped to handle all of the details and truly had no idea where to start with talking to vendors or figuring out a budget. Carin made all of that a breeze. She communicated with us regularly and clearly. I never had to wonder if a deadline was missed or a detail would be left out. I can honestly say that I felt no stress about planning a wedding because of Carin. She listened to what we liked and wanted to spend and was immediately able to pinpoint the right vendors for us. I think we took her first recommendation for practically every choice. Without Carin, none of it would have happened. You cannot pick a better planner for any event. -

Wouldn't have been the same without her!
Carin was an invaluable asset to our wedding day. I'm not sure how many grooms post here but given how essential and amazing Carin was I feel its the least I can do. Not only is she compassionate and fun to work with but as a former lawyer she is incredibly detail oriented and made all of the "work" of the wedding as seamless as possible.
Most importantly, the day of our wedding came with a few unexpected hiccups as most do. However, Carin and her team quietly and efficiently reconciled them all without the slightest interruption to the day. It wasn't until our flight to our honeymoon the next day that my wife even found out.
I cannot recommend Carin and Events Extraordinaire highly enough. In a process filled with 1000s of decisions, she was the best one we made and ensured our the day we dreamed of became reality. -

I am not exaggerating when I say events extraordinaire are the best. Normally when I read someone who has posted a rave review I think “they must be friends.... or even family.” But in our case we had just met the people who work at EE and cannot say enough nice things about them. This will be a rave review from someone who didn’t know them at all!!! Being an event planner myself, I was the first to say that I didn’t need a planner. Turns out it was even more reason to have one. I was actually able to take off my planner hat on our big day and give it all to Carin - I had to promise her that :) It was such a great experience. She asked all of the right questions and helped me get organized. The day ran smoothly with no hiccups at all and she even reminded me to put on lipstick, which I totally appreciated with all of the pictures being take . Even my guests commented on how wonderfully everything ran. Some even said the most relaxed wedding ever. I attribute that to Carin and her team for making sure we stayed on the timeline. When my wife and I first started planning our wedding, we immediately realized we were in over our heads. Neither of us had a clear vision of our "dream wedding," and we knew we had to get a planner. Carin's name came up over and over as we crowd sourced for recommendation, and after we met with her the first time, we knew we'd be in good hands. Carin has an extraordinarily large network and a knack for pairing clients with vendors who suit the clients' personalities and tastes. She guided us on every decision and gently prompted us to ensure we met every deadline. She also really took the time to get to know us, so every component of our wedding felt like "us." In fact, she was so good at pairing us with vendors that we ended up going with her first suggestions for the venue, catering, and our flowers. She even designed our cocktail napkins herself! Most importantly, on the day of the wedding, neither my wife nor I had to worry about anything. Carin managed all the details, and we just got to enjoy the day. It's been a month, and our guests still rave about their experience. Working with Carin was the first and best choice we made in planning our wedding. We truly couldn't have done it all without her. Working with Carin was the absolute best! She not only made the entire planning process stress-free, but truly took our vision and turned it into the most magical reality. Carin and her team are incredibly responsive - any questions or needs that we had, they were on it. The relationships that she has built with her vendors are amazing, which allowed them to all work seamlessly together. We loved every single vendor that she brought into our wedding. Carin was flat out amazing. She helped us plan my wedding which was just a few weeks ago, and we could never have done it without her. She had the seemingly magic ability to listen to and take care of every single one of our requests without batting an eye, even when they were outlandish or last-minute. Especially on day of, she was perfect at finding me, my groom, or any other person who had a role at any moment and discreetly letting them know it was time for the next speech or activity (entrance, cake cutting, etc) which made the event flow so smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I'd recommend her ten times over! -

Carin Lomax and her team made our daughter's wedding day and all the months leading up to it a smooth, seamless process that allowed us to completely enjoy the moment. Carin is absolutely unflappable. She is calm, amazingly organized, and gave us complete confidence every step of the way. We literally cannot say enough great things about her. From our first meeting with her to Carin and her assistant helping to load our car at 1:30 in the morning with food, flowers, my long-forgotten sunglasses and other personal items from the wedding, Carin made this wonderful, but potentially stressful day, a triumph. Carin was always there with the attention, thoughtful insights, patience and confidence that all would be well. Her advice and suggestions on location, catering, band, photographer, videographer, and florist, were all spot on. She did not let a single detail slip. I was concerned at first reaching out to a company that was not local to where I was planning our wedding, but that concern was quickly put to rest based on all of Carin's years of experience. Carin Lomax was such a pleasure to work with! Her business, Events Extraordinaire, and the service provided to us during our wedding planning process was outstanding, both from Carin and from her assistant. The preparation was all done within 5 months' time and we worked it out beautifully, without me feeling like I was losing or missing out on any part of the wedding that I wanted because of the time crunch. She helped us stay on task and budget and was always helping to come up with creative ideas. Carin was flexible, always mentally present to what we desired and wanted to create, always supportive of my needs and the groom's needs in the process. Well done!! I would highly recommend this business to friends and family for wedding planning in the DC Metro area and I would consider her for other event planning too. -

We had our dream wedding thanks to Carin. Every bride's fear is to have something go wrong on her wedding day, I couldn't be any more happy with our choice to go forth with Carin to be our day of planner. Everything went so smooth and we couldn't ask for a more perfect wedding day. My husband and I had no idea where to start with all the planning. I want to be clear; Carin Lomax did it all. I was blown away by the end result. I wanted the fabulous wedding but did not want to plan. I would throw out an idea and Carin would miraculously know MY VISION. The caterer, florist, venue was A-One. Believe me she has connections. My wedding was island themed but not literally, venue was the historic mansion Oxon Hill Manor on the Potomac. Testament to Carin Lomax and Events Extraodinaire everyone, and I do mean everyone, knew Carin's name and commented that MY WEDDING WAS THE BEST THEY HAD EVER ATTENDED IN LIFE!!! And that's a lot weddings since we are 50+. -

In planning my daughter's wedding out of state, I left all of the final details to Carin Lomax of Events Extraordinaire. Since the wedding was at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ, we had to provide the accessories that are the final touches of any event. Carin was very responsive and a calming influence when it came to meeting delivery deadlines. The details included all of the paper goods including cocktail napkins, customized flags for drinking straws, menu cards, favor name tags, candy bags, etc. Before final printing, Carin always gives you a proof of the final product to review and approve. It was very comforting to know that Carin was in control and always delivered in a timely manner a product that makes the party a memorable event. My son is getting married in September 2014 and I have already booked Carin for the rehearsal dinner. Events Extraordinaire is a "must have" on your team for a successful event. -

Carin Lomax of Events Extraordinaire is extraordinary! My daughter was getting married in Cape May, NJ and the bridal shower was a beach theme in the Waterfall Room at 2941 Restaurant. Carin transformed the banquet room into a beach scene complete with summer colors of turquoise and lime green linens, beach umbrellas, tropical floral arrangements, mini adirondack chairs for seating placement cards, and a beautiful white wicker chair for the bride-to-be to sit in for gift opening. In combination with the fabulous service and food at 2941, the bridal shower was a huge success and beautiful memories in a photo book. It was an extraordinary event that guests are still talking about! -

Carin is amazing. Like the previous reviewer, I had hired her essentially as my "day of" coordinator but really she did so much more for me. She met with me multiple times, recommended vendors, made sure I was on the correct timeline for planning the wedding and made sure I hadn't forgotten anything.
And on the day of the wedding, I didn't worry about a thing. I was completely checked out and have no idea if things went wrong because I was way too busy having a great time! There was one moment on the day of the wedding where I overheard her on the phone with what must have been a lost vendor but I didn't even sweat it because I knew she was ALL over it. I had a lot of different elements to my wedding and Carin was able to coordinate everything perfectly. I had a lot of DIY touches to my wedding and Carin was able to set everything up beautifully. I also have a family that can be a little intense and she handled that expertly. What I also love about Carin is that she is completely honest. She wasn't afraid to tell me when things weren't the best idea and when I should do things differently.
Since my wedding, I've been telling everyone that will listen that having a wedding coordinator is the best thing you can do for yourself. Consider it a present for yourself because as the bride, the only thing you should be worried about is having a good time. And if you're in the DC/VA/MD, I wholly recommend Carin. She was incredible and seriously the best gift I could've given myself during this planning process. -

We planned our wedding at a Football Stadium which is kinda unique and different. We chose
To go use an expert to help us with all the planning and cordination of all the vendors, which was all done with-in 6 months. We would have forgotten about so many little details if it wasn't for Carin Lomax the "Wedding Planner". We had the best day of our lives and we owe it all to you and your team.

As the mother of an out of town bride, it became very clear that I needed someone to help me with all of the details and stresses that come with planning a wedding. Very lucky for me that Events Extraordinaire was recommended to me by a friend! I was absolutely astounded with the number of wonderful ideas, tips and services Carin and Kate provided for us. Even though we had given many parties, and my daughter and I had many ideas of what the wedding should be , Carin and Kate nicely added many touches that we would not have thought about. From the fans for a hot August day to the arrangements of the tables to the meetings to discuss details, the professional and personal wisdom of Events Extraordinare was invaluable. The countless things they did for us the day of the wedding were staggering - from checking and double checking the vendors to being sure everything was exactly as we wanted it to be, to packing up our car - undoubtedly the most wisely spent money of the day! Could we have given a nice wedding without them? I guess. But would we have enjoyed our day the way we did and would everything have been exactly as we wanted it to be? Doubtful... my best recommendation for Events Extraordinaire was what I told them at the wedding when our guests were departing and things were being packed away. They asked me - "was everything ok?" And I responded "perfect - absolutely perfect in every way". Thanks EE! -

I engaged Carin with less than a month to go before my wedding to be my wedding day coordinator. During our first meeting, I could tell Carin would be easy to work with and provide tremendous value. I was definitely stressed about the coordinator at my reception site and she immediately took over that interaction so I could focus on other things. She also found a wonderful transportation solution and just did an amazing job day of. I think it was useful that I had an initial schedule for the rehearsal and wedding day and she really helped me think through the details of those events and come up with some special twists to those details. I would absolutely recommend Carin! -

Her expertise led us over the months of preparation and through the biggest, day of our daughters life. because the wedding was over 150 miles from our home and 400 miles from where our daughter was living, we quickly realized we could trust Carin to ask the right questions, make the best suggestions and remind us of the things we needed to stay on top of.
I actually was able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the wedding, and watch my beautiful daughter marry the man of her dreams. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY, and if there were glitches, I didn't even know, Carin simply handled them. -

I was hesitant to use a wedding planner in the beginning. Carin Lomax of Events Extraordinaire was referred to me by someone who had used her for their wedding. We were told that it was the best money they spent on their wedding. They were absolutely correct. From every aspect it was a most enjoyable experience. Carin took care of every detail. SHe was so good to work with with. THere was not one thing left undone. Our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had attended. It made the difference in my being a guest at my daughter's wedding as I did not have to do anything but enjoy the evening.
She attended every meeting with every vendor. There was never a time when I could not reach her for even the smallest detail. She gave us the choices of several vendors for the different areas and we made the final decisions. She took care of the invitations, the programs, the rehersal dinner. If we needed more envelopes, they were in the mail. THere was NOTHING left unattended. Trust me, I can be a pest about things. Carin never made me feel that I was imposing in any way. I would apologize for calling too often and she would put that thought right out in the first 30 seconds of our conversation.
I will refer everyone I know to Carin and will use her myself every opportunity I have.

They provided full service, from planning the wedding to helping select the vendors to making the wedding day so easy that we could all enjoy ourselves and not worry about anything. Much more than a month-of-coordinator
Carin went above and beyond as our month-of coordinator for our wedding! We hired her with the expectation that she would take care of the typical last-minute logistics and ensure the wedding day ran smoothly, but she did so much more. She was a huge help in ironing out details we hadn't planned towards the latter part of wedding planning. She took care of guest transportation and did a phenomenal job designing our programs and name cards. The day of the wedding, Carin was indispensable, coordinating vendors, coordinating separate ceremony and reception venues, and keeping everything running with absolute precision. Nothing went wrong on our wedding day, and we have Carin to thank for that! -

Made our day perfect!
Lauren was our day of coordinator and she did a great job! We were able to meet with Carin and Lauren twice before the rehearsal / wedding to go over details, which made us all the more confident for the day of! We had to adjust to our rain plan and Lauren did a fabulous job ensuring everybody was in the right place at the right time, even if it meant her needing to be in more than one place at once. She made our reception vision come to life with all the decor exactly how I envisioned (or better!). Even with the rain, we couldn't have imagined the day going much smoother, thanks to Lauren!

Hiring Events Extraordinaire was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process! Carin helped us work through each and every decision and was extremely patient, thoughtful, and organized. Carin's background in law was evident as she helped us review contracts and keep all details in order. I was extremely overwhelmed with the planning process but always felt better after having a call with Carin and hearing her calming voice. By the end of the process, I stopped looking at her as someone we hired but more as a dear friend who wanted the best for us. -

Events Extraordinaire was amazing!! They were so accommodating, professional, fun and understood our vision. Carin was perfect! She was on top of everything and really made everything smooth sailing. Carin helped organize my daughter's wedding on May 31st. Her role in making this a happy, memorable event was a very, very important one. Most of the brides' parents, like us, have limited experience with weddings: at best, we organize a few, and all at different times, so things change between them. Our daughter's wedding was at 2941 restaurant in Falls Church, VA; Carin was very familiar with the venue, knew the principal contacts there, and made many useful suggestions. She has helped this ship to sail streadily and calmly, in spite of multiple logistical constraints, such as the fact that the bride and groom were several time zones away, and needed to maintain busy business schedules. And the flow of events on the wedding day has been flawless, exceeding all our expectations. Thank you again, Carin, and good luck. -

Carin was an absolute lifesaver. Since I had to plan our wedding on my own, I relied heavily on Carin's advice and recommendations. Carin gave me vendor recommendations, answered my numerous questions, and most importantly, served as an advocate for my husband and I when we faced challenges with our venue. Carin kept everything organized and was the point of contact for all of my vendors on our wedding day (which left me with ZERO stress). I strongly believe that Carin's services are worth every penny. She was recommended to me by friends and I don't think I could have survived without her. -

My daughter's recent wedding marked the 4th time I worked with Carin at Events Extraordinaire. She is a class act who will fight for her clients to ensure they get what they want. Carin is so creative and really helped bring our vision to life. Events Extra exceeded expectations in so many aspects of event planning from their creative ideas, to their ability to implement them, and for always going above and beyond to guarantee success and help make our event uniquely ours. Events Extraordinaire was very professional and knowledgeable about wedding vendors as well as how to pull all the many moving parts together for the big day. They were very easy to work with to discuss different options and to help us reach decisions. They were "extraordinarily" helpful on the day of the wedding allowing all of us in the wedding party to enjoy our ceremony and celebration. We would highly recommend them. -

Carin Lomax of Events Extraordinaire was wonderful! She was our "Day of" Event Coordinator for our wedding and our day went better than I could have ever imagined! I know it was in large part due to her.
Although she was a "Day of" coordinator don't let the "Day of" title fool you. Carin met with me twice (once with the vendor and once on our own) and she was available via email and phone. I must admit I was more on the clueless side for a bride in regards to many things, and Carin didn't freak me out and cause me stress with the unknown. She was great with detailing things that I needed to consider and/or remember. And she did so without being heavy handed, but with just the right amount of force to get my attention without causing stress. She's blunt and straight forward, which I appreciate.
Carin was also very helpful with our venue vendor. If it wasn't for her I would have missed out on a few thousand dollars in services from the vendor. For those unfamiliar with the Banquet Event Order, Carin is a Godsend!
After our wedding I loved hearing my friends (who are organizers) rave about Carin. But my favourite story was from my younger brother who told me of a moment when Carin sternly got his attention (after a couple of previous attempts) and got him moving for pictures or whatever it was he was supposed to be doing. I loved it!
Carin knows how to work with a-little-too-laid-back of a bride. She's great with not adding stress during a stressful planning time. Most of all, Carin really knows how to work with the bridal party as well as the friends and family on the rehearsal day and wedding day. Not to mention the vendors.
I have no clue if anything went wrong on our wedding day - and that speaks volumes!

Met my needs
I hired Events Extraordinaire to provide "month-of" services for my small wedding. My primary goal in hiring an event coordinator was so that I could finally take off my coordinator hat and enjoy my wedding, and my goal was met. They were a preferred vendor of my venue, and I found that they had plenty of experience working at the venue that made it easier. My advice for working with Events Extraordinaire for month-of services would be to get clarity on what they are responsible for and when (vs. you or whoever is planning the event to date) just so that expectations are clear up front. -

Great Execution on our Wedding Day!!
Both Carin and Lauren did such a great job planning and executing at our wedding. They ensured I didn't have to think about the timeline or work with vendors within the last week and to me everything went off without a hitch!! Even when we were missing a bridesmaids bouquet, Lauren quickly fastened one together with another arrangement that you couldn't even tell the difference. We had a great evening and were able to enjoy ourselves and even eat our food and cake! Thanks again!! Would recommend to anyone looking for help and execution on the planning side! -

Karyn did a good job keeping things running on the day of the wedding, however:
1. If I asked for a recommendation on a vendor, it would takes weeks to get two or three names
2. She recommended the limoe driver (who was bad)
3. I had to work around her schedule/kids (I thought I was hiring someone so I wouldn't have to take time off work to do this!)
