  Our wedding event coordinator was PRICELESS!

  Becky Gilligan was our event coordinator for our wedding in June 2019 and she was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Our wedding would have not gone well without her. She was professional, very detailed oriented, well organized, extremely helpful, and equally important, a positive and uplifting person.
  
  If you are a couple who intends to plan your own wedding like my husband and I did, trust me, you will not regret getting yourself an event coordinator like Becky. She gave great recommendations and valuable advice, which made our planning process go smoother. She is quick with her responses and went above and beyond to answer our questions thoroughly. She even brought things to our attention that we didn't even think of which was awesome! If you are a detailed planner and like things a specific way, you can count on Becky and her team to carry out things the way you intended.

  Nellie is fantastic! Hands down the reason why everything on my wedding went smoothly! She is so organized, on top of everything, easy to work with! She made the event what I wanted! I would recommend her to everyone!

  I don't even know where to start with the service provided by Events By Nellie. We booked Nellie and her team for the Month of Coordination package and it was perfect. Nellie and her team were excellent to work with in the months leading up to our wedding and Becky provided top notch DOC services the day of. Becky and Casey were able to keep our rehearsal moving along and provided easy to understand instruction. The day of, I didn't have to worry about anything. Candles were lit, tables were set up, and people were taken care of. All I had to worry about was showing up and marrying my husband :)
  
  We used Nellie for stationary services as well. She provided proofs and she handled the printing, addressing, AND mailing of all the invitations. A huge weight lifted from my shoulders and our invites were simple and gorgeous. She also provided several other stationary items such as social media signs, bar menus, and place cards. All I had to do was provide the names and addresses.
  
  Overall, a wonderful experience with Nellie and her team of professionals. I would highly recommend to anyone looking into a wedding coordinator.

  I am so, so happy that we hired Events By Nellie. Her organization helped us keep track of everything that we needed to do for the entire year of wedding planning, and she helped make our wedding day perfect and unforgettable.
  She personally helped us with so many tasks! She edited the text for our many invitations and programs, shared her experience with the vendors we were considering (which we LOVED). Nellie gave us ideas for rituals, our wedding website, rehearsal dinner, girls luncheon, guest list numbers, signage, aisle decoration, and fun activities for bridesmaids and groomsmen. She communicated with our venue often and made sure everything was set, and she decorated our venue so beautifully..she even tested out how our altar would look prior to the wedding because we had an unusual request to have a painting in the background! She truly went above and beyond.
  Nellie's prompt responses for so many of our questions were so crucial. She answered ALL of our detailed questions and thought of every detail of our wedding day. Her correspondence was always professional, and I felt relieved that she would know how to take care of things. She helped us put together our timeline in great detail, and helped us think through so many things I would have forgotten if it wasn't for her attention to detail!   Nellie and her crew were absolutely fabulous to work with on our special day. I was the first person in my friend group and in my family to get married and she provided me with so many “insider” tips & tricks on my wedding day and the weeks before that I would have never even thought of. Her attention to detail and her hard work also helped keep the day flowing smoothly. Her and her team were so helpful setting up a lot of my reception decorations and coordinating with all the vendors before the ceremony. As a result, my mom and bridesmaids could enjoy the day pampering, talking, and relaxing rather than having to run around the wedding reception to get it ready for our guests. Most of all though, she is so friendly and thoughtful that it was like having another good friend there to hang out with on the big day. As someone who was originally on the fence whether or not I should get a wedding coordinator, I can’t say enough how happy I was to have Nellie there to put the extra touch on things and to help make my wedding day perfect!!!

  Nellie made our wedding experience better than I could have ever imagined! We used the "wedding weekend" package and Nellie created all the paper products for the ceremony and reception (e.g., programs, signage, table signage, etc) based on our invitations. Nellie was always available to answer questions in the months before the wedding, and was instrumental in coordinating all things wedding in the month of the wedding (wedding was at end of June, 2015). Wedding day, Nellie and her team ensured the day went smoothly. I had absolutely no creative vision of my wedding ceremony or reception, and Nellie and her team coordinated with the other vendors and made both ceremony site and reception site look beautiful. I was not aware of any problems on the day of the wedding, but I'm sure any problems that arose, Nellie and her team solved and kept under wraps. Most of my wedding guests commented on how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed the wedding. That would not have been the case were Nellie and her team not part of that day. One aspect of working with Nellie that absolutely made her the best choice possible for a wedding planner, was her creativity and guidance on small details of the wedding. I did not enjoy wedding planning and struggled with decisions on small details (e.g., how to set up the tables, what signage was needed, even what color shoes the bridesmaids should wear). Nellie had solutions, ideas, and resources at every turn. Her help with all the little things in a wedding that become cumbersome, was extremely calming and instilled confidence the day would go well. I did not want to hire a wedding planner at any point in the wedding, but my mother and brother convinced me to do so. There is not a better decision we made during the wedding planning process, than to hire Events by Nellie!

  Hiring Nellie took the stress out of wedding planning. We got her "month of" package which included unlimited hours on our wedding day. In the planning when any question came up for who would do something we would just say "Nellie can do that" and it made us feel re-assured and confident going into our wedding day that all details were covered.
  
  Any question I had outside of the month we hired her for, she would quickly answer so we could keep on track for wedding planning. She came in day-of ready to tackle our table decorations, room decorations and keep our timeline on track. If there were any hiccups, Nellie had an easy solution and kept the wedding day on track. She stayed until the end to do the check-out with the venue and did the things we didn't want to burden family with. She always went above and beyond and put our family at ease.
  
  That's the benefit of hiring a planner. Nellie was the person we could turn to and would take care of all of the nitty gritty details that we didn't want to do or didn't know how to do. You want your family to just enjoy the day rather than worry about anything.

  Nellie was absolutely great to work with! We used her services for the day-of coordination.   While planning our wedding, the easiest and smartest decisions I made was hiring Events by Nellie. I was a very organized bride, with a small budget, and big wedding day ideas. During our pre-wedding meetings, Nellie helped me to understand how our timeline would run, how to schedule our staff, and had soo many original ideas that I never would have thought of. Nellie also had many great connections in the Kansas City area which tremendously helped in choosing our vendors. With every question I had, Nellie had a fabulous answer.
  
  Nellie was our savior on our wedding day. I had a fear that I would turn into Brizezilla when the first issue arose. Nellie did an amazing job of handling everything without coming to the bride. She was calm, organized, and had all of the answers. Nellie also continually made me feel comfortable by checking in and letting me know how great everything was going. I felt like I was also informed without feeling stressed out.
  
  After our wedding, I had many family members and vendors ask me who “our wonderful planner” was. They had many compliments on how nice, understanding, accommodating, and professional Nellie was. Again, Events by Nellie was one of the best decisions I made for our big day and I would absolutely recommend her services.

  Events by Nellie helped me and my family plan the most beautiful and Dream come true wedding. I have known Nellie since high school and I could talk to her about my ideas and she turned them into realities. I would recommend her to everyone. She has great ideas and help you plan your wedding within your budget and make sure you get everything you want. She is so down to earth and knows how to deal with the vendors and make sure you are getting the best deal. Thank you for everything you did for Daniel and I and my family!

  Finding wedding stationary is overwhelming! There are so many colors, themes, scripts, etc to choose from. Nellie made the task of choosing stationary extremely easy. I didn't have to look through page after page of designs. She listened to my ideas and designed my stationary from there. If something wasn't quite right, she fixed it until it was perfect. In the end, Brett and I received beautiful invitations, save the dates, and programs.Nellie is incredibly talented. They were unique, classy, and very affordable. I received numerous compliments from guests! She went above and beyond and for a small fee addressed, stamped, and mailed the save the dates and invitations. This service saved us so much time, and, most importantly, our sanity. Getting this done was one last thing I had to worry over.

  Wedding planner??? I didn't think we were the kind of people who needed one, after all my daughter had a pretty clear vision of what she wanted for her perfect wedding. Of course, it also sounded very expensive and very "stuffy".
  Having known Nellie for quite awhile, we were very aware of how amazing and knowledgeable she is. My first call to her was for event space recommendations to accommodate a larger number of guests. As we talked and she gave me invaluable tips, she let me know that she wanted to be a part of coordinating my daughter's wedding. It quickly became very clear that we definitely needed her for our day of coordinator and more!
  Nellie met with us a couple of times, responded to many emails and texts, met with our event space owners and bailed me out of my frustration in creating the programs. This was the "before" stages of the wedding. At the rehearsal we were told that the pipe organ was not working so Nellie very calmly instructed us to go the rehearsal dinner and she would contact the organist and soloists and get everything worked out. And she did. She handled so many of the small details and little "glitches" throughout the day that made it possible for the bride, groom and mother of the bride to actually relax and enjoy every moment.
  Nellie is an invaluable resource, true professional and her calm personality makes her extremely pleasant and fun to work with. She is very creative and is excited to help the bride plan the perfect wedding day. If you don't think you need Nellie to coordinate your wedding, you do! If you think you can't afford her, you can! Hiring Nellie will be the best investment you make!!!

  I truly couldn't have asked for a better go to person than Nellie! A week prior to my wedding my mom had a trip she'd planned before I got engaged, to Ireland. SO needless to say things were a bit chaotic at the end, and I seriously would have fallen apart without Nellie.   Nellie helped our family plan an Anniversary celebration for our parents. She was fabulous! She helped with everything from invitations, to venue, to helping us plan the entire party. She is a pleasure to work with and I would use her again and recommend her to anyone I know.

  Nellie is a fantastic wedding planner! We hired Nellie for the full wedding planning package and it was the best decision I made regarding my wedding (except for the groom of course!). I got married the summer after I finished law school, only 3 weeks after taking the bar exam. I realize now that this was probably not the greatest time in my life to have planned a wedding, but Nellie made it all very easy and stress-free. She works hard to understand her clients and work together with them to plan the perfect day. I never realized before planning a wedding how many different vendors come in to play. It is so nice to have someone who knows the industry by your side to help you find great people to work with. She made beautiful save-the dates, programs, a guest list sheet, and other signage all as a part of her wedding planning fee. I would simply show her a few examples of things that I liked and she would take the best aspects of my examples and create exactly what I wanted! Nellie really is awesome to work with and I would recommend her to anyone!

  Nellie did our day of coordinating and did a fantastic job! I was able to pass control over to her and not think about one logistical issue on my big day! She took all of my visions and made them come to life!
