The extent of my experience here was one phone call...and it was so unbelieveable I felt the need to warn others. I was researching venues for my wedding and had to call them as they have no pricing information online, which is fine. I asked the person who answered the phone if I could get some information on their services, pricing, etc. I was answered with a curt, "it's Saturday and we're VERY busy with a wedding." My response was "ok, can you take down my information and contact me at your convenience?" She took down my info and I never heard from them. If they treat a prospective customer like that, imagine how they'd treat you once you give them money.
What isn’t there to love about Etiwanda Gardens? The venue is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and their price is great! My husband and I got married here on October 16, 2010 and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding. Paige was our wedding planner from the day we booked the venue until the day of the wedding and I can honestly say I love her! She totally understood me and wasn’t one of those uptight snotty wedding planners. She’s laid-back, has a great sense of humor and always made sure I was taken care of. The grounds are breathtaking and made for beautiful wedding pictures. What really sold me on that place was that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all held there so your guests don’t need to go drive from one location to the other to enjoy your wedding! Everything was so easy to plan with them and was always well coordinated. The food tasting was a blast and you’re able to bring your family with you so that they can be involved in the wedding planning as well. And the rehearsal was such a blast! I loved my 2 wedding coordinators! These girls are so funny and friendly; they really helped calm my nerves and walked us through everything (especially when my husband stepped on my dress and ripped the bustle! They came back in a flash with pins and made my dress looked like nothing ever happened to it!). The bridal room is huge and there is plenty of space for all of the girls to get ready as is the grooms room. What’s even better is that the bridal and grooms room have separate entrances so if you want to take pictures outside before the ceremony, they can sneak you out that you can’t see each other! The ceremony chapel is beautiful being that the sides are windows instead of walls so that you can see the beautiful greenery; the Rose Pavilion (for the cocktail hour) is outdoors with a bar and tables (and heat lamps!) and the Lilac Room is the must have room for the reception with its outdoor patio! The only problem I had was on the day of when we went into the Lilac Room to set up our candy table and they had a white table cloth on it instead of the black one. But not only did they fix that within seconds, when we went back in for our actual reception they added a black back drop behind the candy table with purple swag to make up for it! Our parents couldn’t get over what amazing service they have and how wonderfully they treated us during our wedding planning. We had our dinner buffet style which included served salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing (yummy!), lasagna, halibut and spaghetti with steamed veggies and breadsticks. All of my guests were complimenting the bartender and how wonderful the drinks were and I must say he made one hell of a delicious margarita! Debbie was my coordinator during the reception and she treated us like royalty! She went to the buffet before anyone else did and got us our food so that we could start eating before everyone else and not have to wait in line and she went to the bar to get me drinks. I have nothing but love for Paige and the entire staff at Etiwanda Gardens! Thank you making our special day so beautiful.
The ceremony and reception were beautiful! My husband and I were invited to a dinner party with alot of other soon to be brides and grooms, in which we tried different meals and were able to see what they venue looked like with different decorations, which was helpful. They prepared everything, I did not do anything on my wedding day but get married :)! We also had a few more people than anticipated and they were kind enough not to charge extra!
I love Etiwanda Gardens when I first booked it, but after having my wedding there I am very disappointed. At my rehearsal I was told to be back at the chapel at 430 the day my wedding started, when i arrived they told me I was to early and I had to wait in the hall way before I could enter the bridal suite. The wedding started at the chapel looked beautiful thanks to my wonderful florist! The person Etiwanda Gardens gave me was rude to my husband the whole night. During the reception EVERYTHING was a mess...my chair covers were the wrong color. There were the exact color I asked for them not to have!!! Matter of fact they were the color from the wedding that was going on in the reception room next to mine, and when I asked about my chair covers I was told "there is nothing we can do about it" I paid for those $3.40 for each one, and I had a contract stating what color I wanted! I never got a dime back for those, not even a sorry... It was more of "too bad that's what you got" kinda of attitude. The food was cold and tasted awful and nothing like the food tasting food. During the dinner service i had a waiter hit on a 14 year old female cousin. I am still missing the glass to my engagement photo that I had my guests sign and I haven't received a phone call about that I've been waiting a month now! I would not recommend Etiwanda Gardens to anyone... It is a cheap place to get married but when you want cheap you get cheap!
I would totally recommend from start to finish excellent venue
We are so glad we got married here! My fiance was very stressed out the week of the wedding but at the rehearsal all of her anxiety was put to rest! We had 2 coordinators that helped with our ceremony and set up of the reception and they were very on top of things! We never felt that we weren't sure if something was going to get done or not. They always asked if there was anything else they could do or if we needed anything. It was very reassuring and made the day so wonderful! The only negative thing I can think of is the food was just ok. Other than that, everyone is very professional and very nice. Thank you Etiwanda Gardens for making our wedding day a special and worry free one!
Paige was very helpful and they seem professional at first until the day of the wedding.
Etiwanda Gardens was a beautiful location, the catering company that owns the facility is AMAZING, maybe a bit more expensive than others but every loved the food and beverages so I suppose it was worth it. We had both our ceremony and reception there, we had adequate accommodations for dressing and preparations. When we first booked the site we were dealing with a specific wedding coordinator who we adored! But half way through planning she left the company and the replacement was efficient, however the woman who actually assisted us the day of I had only met at the rehearsal, I thought she was rude and didn't fully understand what it was that I wanted.
We had a beautiful wedding, everything ended up working out, all the guests had a wonderful time so all in all they were a good vendor but I would have enjoyed the business side of things much better if our original coordinator had stayed on.
This is a wonderful and beautiful place to get married. If you want an outside ceremony or inside at the chapel either spot is perfect. This place accomadates large and small events! The staff is very helpful and makes your day go as smoothly as possible. They also have beautiful picture spots, including a coy pond, a fountain lined with flowers and a large grassy area for the larger family pictures. All in all it's exactley what I was looking for!
Eitwanda Gardens was a wonderful venue for our wedding. It wasn't the Rancho Cucamonga, CA location that sold me, but the beautiful chapel that was once a Buddhist Monk Temple in the '60s. With floor-to-ceiling windows offering plenty of natural light, a rock wall/alter and wood-beamed high ceilings, it was a beautiful, natural, yet indoor and air-conditioned setting that was ideal for our later September wedding. The staff was responsive and attentive and the reception hall was on site. They also provided the catering and the food and service were quite good. And the price was within our budget. My only suggestion? Reserve early as dates book quickly.
