The Ewings are the best! From our first call I knew that Erica and Ben were the perfect fit for us. Erica is kind, professional and responsive. Throughout the planning process she shared examples of multiple wedding albums that she had photographed at our venue so that we could see their stunning work. On Valentine's day Erica and Ben even sent us a surprise Maine-themed gift to celebrate our last Valentine's day as fiancés. We were blown away! A week before the wedding during our planning call she helped us think through where we would like photos taken and created a rain plan just in case for a bride (me) who really wanted outdoor photos - so accommodating!!
Now the wedding day --- on the day of the wedding, Erica, Sarah and Ben were professional, prompt, and knowledgeable, helping us find beautiful spots for photos despite the rain. Their warm personalities and friendliness made it feel like they were our friends or family, and not a wedding vendor. They offered advice to me, helped organize the groomsmen so they were ready for the photos, and even calmed me down when I was feeling anxious!
Erica also had our sneak peek and a reel on Instagram within 2 days of our wedding, which was so exciting and wonderful. The photos came back even more stunning than we ever could have wanted or imagined. We cannot wait to see the rest!!
Our entire family agrees that if we ever need a photographer in the future, that we know who we will be calling... the Ewings!

Erica, Ben, and Sara of Ewings Photography are truly AMAZING! We genuinely love them and their love for my husband and I. Our journey with them started 1.5 years prior to our wedding and from the very beginning our conversations, engagement sessions, planning meetings, surprise gifts in the mail, everything was done with such tenderness and attention to detail. They were originally recommended to us by another couple and our venue and we fell in love with their light and airy style and story telling like photos and videos. We also really liked the fact that they are a husband-wife duo and, along with their sister Sara, we felt like more people could get more coverage of the big day and the people involved. The day of the wedding they were SUPERSTARS who came up with rain plans, stood in the rain for us to get the most gorgeous shots, and it didn't phase them at all. They were 10000% there for us but didn't over crowd us either. They put us at ease and let us be our true selves on the wedding. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos and videos. If you're looking for memories to look back on, HIRE THE EWINGS!!! You will not be disappointed. -

The Ewings are an amazing couple to work with!! They were prompt, professional and so nice. My husband Richie and I got married at the cliff house in Maine on 9/7/21 - they made our day so special and just from the video trailer and the sneak peek photos, everything came out amazing 😍we would highly recommend them and will use them again one day for family photo shoots! -

Absolutely Perfect and Great at Making You Comfortable
Erica and Ben are hands down the BEST. Erica is one of the warmest people I've ever met, and when we met for the first time I found myself immediately loving her and opening up. During the pandemic she hosted mini happy hours with some of her brides to give photography advice and I loved it. When we had to postpone, she and Ben were so helpful in adjusting our plans. On the day of, every single bridal party member (girls and GUYS) commented that they loved our photographer and videographer! Erica and Ben just made everyone comfortable - which you need when you're in front of a camera lens! Our photos are fabulous and we look forward to seeing our video (the trailer was amazing!). A groomsman has already declared he's hiring them for his wedding. Highly recommend! -

I don't think it will be possible to put into words how overwhelmingly positive our experience has been with Erica and Ben. From the first intro call, to our engagement shoot, to the final moments of our wedding, working with them has been an absolute pleasure. They are such a calming presence in addition to being excellent at their craft. On my wedding day everything started to hit me while I was getting my make up done. I had a moment of panic, and none of my bridesmaids were on that side of the room to see what was happening. Only Erica, and the MUA. I looked at Erica as my MUA put on the finishing touches and said, I'm stressed, I'm upset as my eyes started to swell. She looked at me and instantly calmed me down with her kind words and her demeanor. If I had it my way, Erica and Ben would have been/would be there for ALL of the milestone/meaningful moments in my life. I feel as if I've known Erica for decades. She just has a way about her. In terms of the photos, their work speaks for itself, simply scroll through their website to see the absolute MAGIC they are able to capture with their cameras. If you are looking for a top notch photographer/videographer duo, a couple who knows love AND knows how to capture it, a photographer who can make a person who hates photos in general somehow fall in love with an entire album, look no further. This will be the best, easiest decision you make. We love the Ewing's for who they are as professionals and for their ability to capture our day perfectly, but we love them for who they are as people just the same. -

From our very first conversation I knew I wanted to hire the Ewings as our wedding videographer. Their excitement and passion for what they do not only shows in their work, but made us excited and comfortable to work with them. Additionally, before I even met Erica in person I felt like I gained a new best friend through all of our conversations. She really took the time to get to know me and my vision for the day! When I met her for the first time at the wedding it was so hard to not run over and give her a gigantic hug (#covidstinks). I highly recommend the Ewings and I cannot wait to work with them again next year!! -

Where do we even begin! From the moment we had our first conversation with Erica we knew how fortunate we would be to work with The Ewings for our wedding photography & video. Erica instantly made us feel so comfortable as we embarked on wedding planning. In addition to helping with our photography and video, the Ewings continually offered their support and guidance if we had other questions about wedding planning and suggestions for vendors. Erica and Ben answered every question we had and accommodated any request and truly made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with. They took the time to get to know us as a couple and as individuals so by the time it was our wedding day we were excited to spend time with them and had full faith that they knew exactly what we wanted. The photos from our special day are simply stunning and brought us to tears. They truly captured every magical moment perfectly and captured so many organic shots that we will cherish forever. We come from large families and they had no issue with our lengthy portrait list either. When we look back on our photos there is not a single shot that we feel is missing they captured it all and these photos bring us right back to these special moments in time. We are so obsessed with their work and already can’t wait to work with Erica and Ben again. -

We cannot recommend the Ewings highly enough! We were drawn to them because of the obvious quality of their work, and sold when they were willing to provide videography services for our ceremony and ketubah signing at a fraction of what a separate videographer would have cost. But that’s all before the wedding day itself.
Simply put, they took the best pictures of us we’ve ever seen. And they did it by keeping us entirely at ease. Erica and Ben were so relaxed and cheerful that we never felt like we were posing, never felt on display, and never felt we were taking direction. I hate posing for pictures, but working with the Ewings was an absolute pleasure. Moreover, they were somehow completely unobtrusive during the wedding yet captured amazing candid shots of everything from our first dance to laughter to happy pictures of our friends and loved ones.
They were incredibly friendly and professional throughout, and took up a minimum of our time both during the preparation and on the day itself. We can’t imagine a better photographer experience! Thanks so much, Erica and Ben!!

Erica and Ben are the kindest, most thoughtful humans AND photographers! They accomplish everything an "aggressive" photographer would but they are so kind and make it look effortless. It was like having extra friends at our wedding who just happened to be taking photos. Their work is phenomenal and speaks for itself, but the personal touches are priceless! I can't recommend them enough. -

Erica and Ben were wonderful to work with
It's easy to tell if a photographer does good work based on their portfolios, but my husband and I were concerned on finding someone who we were comfortable working with. Erica and Ben are the perfect photography couple to have with you on your wedding day. Not only do they make everyone in the bridal party feel comfortable, but they're extremely efficient with every shot. Trusting your photographer for your wedding day is crucial and we would not have trusted anyone else to give us such great memories we can look back on. Plus their work is beautiful! -

Erica & Ben are incredible people, photographers and videographers. Erica and Ben photographed our engagement session and did our full wedding photos and video! We are in love with all of the photos we received. The photos are stunning - they captured every moment and we've enjoyed looking back and having the same feelings over and over again as our wedding day! Erica and Ben will always greet you with a warm smile, a friendly hello and a hug. They immediately become your friends and make it easy to be in front of the camera. This was so important to my husband and I when looking for a photographer - and we are so thankful that we found them!! Our photos and video show how much more at ease we felt with them. They're absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them for any wedding photos or video! All of our photos, videos and wall art are gorgeous. They're truly wonderful people and it shows in their work. -
Kelly Sent on 09/30/2018The Ewings were recommended to us by a friend in the industry and were also a preferred vendor at our venue. During our first phone conversation, I could tell that Erica was professional yet also personable and mellow - exactly the type of person we wanted to work with.
I was nervous going into our engagement shoot, as neither of us particularly enjoys posing for photos, but Erica made things light and fun. She gave us directions that were easy to follow and that didn't feel forced. We actually ended up having a great time and LOVED the photos she shared with us shortly after.
For the wedding itself, Erica and Ben did a wonderful job balancing giving us direction and also just letting us enjoy and do our thing. They were relaxed the whole time and blended in easily with our group. Also, I loved how they clearly had the experience to gently guide us through the day, but never made us feel like this was just another wedding for them - especially when a moment of inspiration would hit, which happened often and led to some of our best photos.
We have already seen a number of our wedding photos on their website and are so thrilled with how they came out! Thanks to Erica and Ben for being a fun part of our day and capturing our wedding beautifully :-) -

Samantha Sent on 08/04/2018My husband and I loved working with Erica and Ben! We even had the pleasure to meet one of their sons, Trevor - he was a great help to our engagement shoot.
We worked with Erica for our engagement session and both Erica and Ben for the wedding. Erica is so easy to get along with - she was always genuinely excited to listen to the ideas we had and used her experience and expertise to help us achieve our vision.
Our best day ever would not have been as smooth without Erica and Ben. They got along so well with our wedding party, but were professional and kept us on track for the timeline of the day. Erica even made sure that I wasn't getting overwhelmed when my wedding party started to get a bit excited with all of their photo ideas.
After the best day ever it was great to work on our photo album with Erica. It was tough to choose from the hundreds of photos down to the 100 or so that would go into our album, but Erica made it a fun experience. We enjoyed telling her behind the scene stories of the photos and family and friends reactions to the wedding events. Their studio is beautiful - it's great to see all of their work and usually there's free cookies :)

Mike Sent on 03/14/2018Erica and Ben are simply amazing! To call them vendors is almost an insult, as they became confidants and friends. We met with them for a drink and my wife said on the way home we HAVE to have them at our wedding. The experience was great: getting comfortable around the camera during our engagement photo shoot, going over the “must have “ pictures for the wedding, debating the first look (we say to do it!) - they made it all so easy. As a husband and wife they work so seamlessly and smoothly together. They’re efficient and keep your day on track without hounding or pressuring you; I think Erica actually calmed my wife down throughout the day. The pictures came out ABSOLUTELY amazing! We were married December 9th at the Omni Parker House with our ceremony across the street at the UMass Club. We had the blizzard snow we wished for and there were ZERO complaints as we walked around outside getting the most amazing shots! They treated our wedding as the most important thing to them, as well as being so kind to our friends and family the day of. I promise if you meet with them and book them you will not regret it! We love our photos, memories and the friends we made with the Ewings.

After the typical photo shoots with family and members of the bridal party, you didn't realize they were there...until you see the pictures that are captured! The questionairre she provides before the event, the discussions, and the sincere interest make their photography all the more poignant. I cannot wait to see the rest of our pictures!! Just the sneak peak alone had me in tears.

Jennifer Sent on 10/12/2014We are so grateful to have chosen Erica as our wedding photographer because she truly captures the feeling and emotion of your most special day and can easily bring you back to all of your favorite moments by looking at her photos, which are truly an art! You can see the excitement, anticipation and sheer joy on you and your loved ones faces that she so exquisitely captures. Her and her husband Ben are sincere kind and sweet people that listen to what you want envision for your day. They are not obtrusive and you almost forget they are there until you get back your "wedding preview" like I recently did and see how many special moments they are able to be present for that you don't even realize in the hustle and bustle of the busy day. I know it finally hit me that I was "getting married" when Erica arrived to my bridal suite to take photos of me getting in my dress. I was excited because I knew that all the beautiful photos that I had been admiring on her website would soon become a reality for me and my husband. Our wedding and engagement photos are my favorite things about our wedding and they will be cherished keepsakes forever. -

Jessi Sent on 06/21/2013Honestly, besides my wife, Erica was the best part of my wedding!!
I found Erica by accident at a wedding expo and instantly connected to her. It helped that she recognized my Man of Honor from a blog post he'd done previously. Erica's answer to "Have you done a same-sex wedding before?" also helped: she smiled & said "I haven't had the opportunity to, but I hope I can" or something like that. Do you know how wonderful it was to have someone genuinely answer that? Most photographers showed a little disdain, like I was accusing them of something, or made up all sorts of excuses like I was about to accuse them of something.
Every step of the process with Erica was easy and clear--we weren't surprised by anything. Her joy at being involved kept us energized; she was thorough, attentive and professional. I alternately felt like a ninja and a friend was photographing the wedding--one second she was popping from out of nowhere to span a picture, the next, we were chatting about something she found particularly charming or that made her smile.
Every visit has gone far longer than expected because she's easy to talk to and makes you feel like you're the only client in the world--she really took the time to learn about us and the photos reflect that. I cannot recommend Erica enough and know she will be my family photographer for as long as she's willing to work with us! -

She is so amazing and took some of the best photos I have ever seen for our wedding. We are so happy with them, and we only saw the sneak peek of 38 pictures! Can't wait to pick up and see the rest of them this weekend. She has some great ideas for pictures and locations for engagement pictures too! Would highly recommend her for anyone that is getting married!
