We used every service I Do OBX provides for our destination wedding in Corolla. This included officiating, coordination, DJ, florals, lighting, equipment/decor rental (both ceremony & reception), and videography. When beginning to pick vendors, it seemed like a daunting task as we were unfamiliar with the vendors in the area. After meeting the owners Tony & Mary at the OBX Wedding Expo & seeing their work, it made the decision easy. It was so clear how kind & passionate they were about what they do, as well as how much experience they had. They were both so helpful during the entire planning process, and were able to offer so many recommendations & advice. They had done many weddings at our venue alone and knew exactly what would work best.
We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful and personal our ceremony was. Tony went above and beyond to get to know my husband and me before the wedding. It was very clear Tony had been officiating for a long time, as he thought of everything. He stepped out of the way for photos for not only our first kiss, but also sand ceremony & vows. He had my husband and I switch sides according to the way the wind was blowing so my veil & hair weren't in my face. He added his own personal touches to the 'standard" ceremony'. I had never seen an officiant be as detail-oriented as Tony.
Shirley was our month-of coordinator and she was the BEST. Her and Mary answered my countless questions and had many meetings with me to discuss every last detail leading up to the wedding. She handled EVERYTHING, from reaching out to vendors prior to that day to finalize the timeline, setting up the space with the team SO perfectly, instructing our 21-person bridal party with EASE, and so so much more. She truly made our day stress-free and so smooth. She's a PRO.
Alec was our DJ and everyone LOVED him! Alec knew we wanted our wedding to be a big dance party and he did not disappoint. We had 70 people at our wedding and when I tell you everyone was on the dance floor all night, I mean it! Alec was so fun & involved--he even jumped in the pool with us at the end of the night :) Music is arguably one of the most important parts of a wedding and we would hire Alec over and over again.
Videography was something we had been on the fence about in the early stages of planning our wedding, but after just seeing our teaser alone--WOW we could not be happier. This crew is TALENTED and made it so worth it! They were so enjoyable to work with and made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. They took my inspo & vision and made it even better than I could have asked for. From the drone shots to the music choice, they nailed it all. We are so thankful that they have allowed us to re-live our day over and over again so perfectly.
Our venue was an event home in Corolla and the I Do OBX team florals, lighting, and equipment/decor rentals completely transformed this space into an absolutely dream. The florals were exactly what I wanted. They listened to what I asked for and ran with it--they truly have the magic touch. The lighting was so beautifully designed and made the space feel so cozy & well-lit. It was a must-have. This team is extremely familiar with these venues and they know just how to elevate these spaces in the most incredible and creative ways.
I could go on and on about how much I love this team but I will end with saying that you will not regret booking I Do OBX for your wedding. We are so happy we chose Tony at I Do OBX to officiate our wedding. He was so personable and took time to get to know us prior to the ceremony. We felt very involved in ceremony planning and well prepared for the ceremony, and his process made the ceremony planning extremely easy. He seemed genuinely happy for us on our wedding day and the ceremony was special and perfect! We also used I Do OBX for an arbor and florals (bridal bouquet, corsages, boutonniere, arbor florals). All of the florals were absolutely beautiful! The arbor was so nice for our ceremony, and it was set-up perfectly when we got to our venue. Best wedding ever!
I would recommend I Do OBX to everyone planning a wedding in the Outer Banks. Tony did a fantastic job officiating at our daughter's wedding. I can't say enough about him, his staff who set-up for us, and Ryan, our photographer, who made the day so special. The arch, flowers, and lighting were beautiful. I planned my wedding to take place in the OBX (my husband and I are from New England), and this company has it down to a science. Neither my guests nor I had to lift a finger during the day of the wedding (I did not have a wedding planner), and I Do OBX was fabulous to work with. They made sure everything was setup on the beach for the Ceremony and took everything down afterwards. Tony, Mary, and Carrie were all fabulous to work with on our elopement. From the first meeting with Tony and Mary getting to know us, down to the vows, ceremony, and amazing flowers everything felt very personal and every detail mattered to them as much as to us.
The weather didn't cooperate so we had to adjust to an indoor ceremony. Tony and Carrie were in touch throughout the day to see if we could find a window of time and they came earlier than planned to miss the rain.
They have mastered the wedding business and think of everything, making planning for us simple. It was a pleasure working with them and we recommend them 100%.I Do OBX Weddings and Events's reply:

Amazing officiant, lights, florals, decor, furniture - everything!
Tony and Mary and the rest of the I Do team were so easy/kind to work with and are pros at what they do! They made the planning process seamless on our end, and ultimately, they played a huge part in making our wedding day feel like a dream. The florals were absolutely gorgeous and just what we had in mind. They were even better than what we had envisioned - super fresh & vibrant and so beautifully arranged. The lighting & furniture were set up perfectly - the twinkle lights were stunning! They truly set the stage for a beautiful and hassle free day. Most importantly, Tony officiated our wedding with so many thoughtful, personal touches and beautiful words. We had many guests mention how great of an officiant he was and how much they loved his speech/script. I can’t tell you enough about how great everyone at I Do OBX was- from the planning phase they were easy to work with and super helpful to me living out of state.
The florals were fantastic. They had great ideas, took everything that I said I wanted and offered great advice to come up with a beautiful arch, lovely and elegant table settings, and a stunning bridal bouquet.
Tony did such a great job as our officiant. Even with limited creative input from us (I’m not great at coming up with a story) he crafted a truly touching ceremony script. Multiple of my guests commented on how great the ceremony script was, and I could not be happier with how everything was.
For creating a destination wedding, having one company be able to coordinate the rentals, the florals, the ceremony, the DJ was just so helpful in alleviating pre-wedding stress.I Do OBX Weddings and Events's reply:

Tony and his staff were exceptional from start to finish! There was constant responsiveness to our questions which put us both at ease as we were traveling from Maryland. We had an intimate ceremony with just our children and their significant others and it could not have been more perfect!!!! Tony was able to incorporate our story into the cermony as well as fun family quirks to make it amazing!! To say that expectations were exceeded would be an understatement!! The gentlemen that set up were prompt, attentive, and super friendly. The flowers were so beautiful both as accents as well as the bouquet!! We met with him at Southern Shores and he got to know us and our story. The sunrise service was absolutely perfect in every way. We highly recommend him and may renew our vows again. -

On a recent trip to the Outer Banks, I used I Do OBX Weddings and events to surprise my wife of 31 years with a vow renewal on the beach. The internet site, questionnaires and workspace helped us collaborate the details until we met our officiant, Tony Joseph, to further discuss details on the ceremony. My wife and I recently got married and chose Tony to be our officiant. Tony was a great officiant and really took the time to get to know us to make our vision come to life for our ceremony. It ended up being so special for us and our guests.
We also used IdoOBX for our ceremony chairs, the farm tables and brown resin chairs, and did lights over the pool. It was all at a reasonable price, looked great, and his team took care of everything from setting up to tearing down. Beyond expectations with one-of-a kind personalized service!
We are beyond grateful to Tony, Mary, and their wonderful team for making our small beach wedding on 3/21/25 in Nags Head stress-free and better than we could have dreamed of!!! The Seaside Vintage arbor, Viva Magenta flowers, and Sand Ceremony table were absolutely breathtaking. Communication was easy from our first phone call to responsive messaging through email, text, the portal, and an in-person rehearsal meeting with Tony. Flexibility to customize the Micro Wedding package was very appreciated. Their extensive vendor connections, especially photography by Ryan from Coastal Shots Photography, made everything run seamlessly. We were especially touched how Tony went above and beyond as our officiant by incorporating our love story, pronouncing our difficult names perfectly, and watching the weather forecast beforehand to ensure everyone was comfortable. Tony made the ceremony even more special in the way he included our family and then our boys in the sand ceremony. The I Do OBX team all truly care and make you feel like you are family. -

We worked with I Do OBX for florals, decor, and lighting. The package was really easy to put together, and everyone we worked with was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and patient, and every meeting concluded with them making sure we knew exactly what we were going forward with. They never left us guessing at anything, they always thoroughly answered all our questions, and they were amazing to work with. We didn't know anything about flowers, and they helped us get the exact look we wanted with our florals. Hands down the best!
Amazing from start to finish! Would highly recommend Tony, Carrie, and Nick a thousand times over again! They all made my husband and I so comfortable throughout the entire time! It’s nerve racking trusting a process from states away, but I did and it was so worth it! The flowers were beautiful! I received many compliments from my guests about Tony’s personality and how he handled the entire ceremony! Carrie showed up before the ceremony just as I had requested and was so down to earth and made us so comfortable. Nick made everything so easy flowing with the video as well! He was so nice and personable, easy to talk to! They all were so down to earth and just totally fun to be around! They made our day feel SO special! Trust the process and book with them! -

The OBX Team is wonderful and so accommodating that makes a possible stressful situation into a beautiful occasion. Highly recommended.
My husband and I recently renewed our 40th wedding anniversary. OBX had the perfect setup which was beautiful and simplistic. This was our actual date and time during our vacation. We have not taken a vacation in very long time, and this added to our excitement. We had 3 other couples, my brother walked me down the beach where my husband was waiting. Even though it was 40 years, it was being married again. Weather was perfect, with sun and a little breezy. Even though we just met Tony the officiate for the first time, he had the perfect words for the ceremony. The photographer so was nice, professional, will take suggested photos and captured our moments. No matter what you pick, OBX will help it make it easier.I Do OBX Weddings and Events's reply:

Let me start by just saying, Tony was AMAZING.
I could not say enough great things. Everyone at our ceremony kept telling us how great he was! He’s very warm and welcoming, making everyone feel very comfortable. Everything looked amazing, and exceeded our expectations! If you’re looking for someone to help you with planning your big day and making sure everything goes well, idoobx is your crew! The florals were so Beautiful, the arbor was jaw dropping. I truly couldn't have asked for anything to be better! They really made everything so simple for me. I had no worries the morning of my wedding day, they took care of everything. And they really care about the details, going as far as checking the direction jof the wind to make sure your hair isn’t blowing in your face during the ceremony. Which, if you were at my wedding, you would know that was a big help. Exceptional Officiant Who Made Our Beach Wedding Unforgettable!
We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our wedding! Initially, we planned a simple courthouse ceremony. When we discovered it would have to take place at the correction center due to the location of the magistrate’s office, we knew we needed a quick change. With only a few days' notice, we reached out to Tony. He was incredibly responsive and accommodating.
He helped us transition to a beautiful beach wedding. The ceremony he crafted was personalized and truly reflected our love story. When we arrived a few days before the wedding, we met with Tony and it was like we had a good friend of ours getting ready to marry us. He walked us through what the day would look like for our wedding on the beach so we felt comfortable. He made it feel very personal and special to us and our family. We also used I Do OBX for our flowers and photography. The flowers were beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. Our photography Kaylee was amazing and captured every shot and then some. Amazing to work with!
Mary and the entire team at I Do OBX was such a pleasure to work with during our 21 month engagement. We booked them for our ceremony rental chairs and they did my bridal bouquet.
I had filled out the questionnaire a year and a half prior to my wedding, so my vision changed by the time the wedding rolled around. They were so responsive and accommodating to the changes. I did the rest of the florals myself and I sent them photos of what I had done. They matched my bouquet to my husband’s pocket boutonniere perfectly.
On wedding day, the I Do OBX team brought my vision to life even with higher than normal tides. I even forgot to put out the “reserved” signs for the ceremony and the guys went back to the warehouse and let me borrow some signs.

We used I Do for our drapes and lights inside the venue, for our DJ (Alec), and our officiant (Jake).
From when I first contacted I Do they made it easy to choose what was right for our wedding, they really can be a one stop shop.
The draping inside the pier house was beautiful, really made it feel magical in there.
Our DJ was Alec and he was great. Super responsive, friendly, personable, great vibe, listened to everything we wanted and filled in the blanks on what we didn't know. On the day he killed it, was really good at reading the room and making people dance. Super fun guy, i would highly recommend him, if we lived here we would want to be his friend.
Our officiant was Jake and he was great, I couldn't have imagined anyone else officiating. He really made the moment perfect, he talked us through everything beforehand, listened to who we were as people and really made the ceremony perfectly tailored to us. His vibe was great and for never having met him before, he instantly felt like an old friend.

If you are anything like me during the wedding planning stage -- anxious, excited, overwhelmed, and burned out from researching wedding vendors... choose I Do OBX and look no further. Tony, Mary, and the rest of the team are highly professional, creative, patient, and will genuinely go above and beyond to bring your dream wedding to life. We purchased a mircro-wedding package and used their venue, Diamond on the Sound, as both ceremony/reception venue and accommodations. The Diamond is as breathtaking as you see it in the photos and THE PERFECT backdrop for our wedding! I could not have dreamed of a more beautiful location. It was also convenient because we got to see first-hand the I Do OBX team leap into action for set up and tear down. If last minute decisions needed to be made, we were right there and they executed flawlessly with no detail left unattended. Even when we got married in scattered thunderstorms in July -- Tony prepared us with a rain contingency plan, the team was unbothered by the weather, they were confident in their work, and because I know they had it under control, I grew less anxious about any inclement weather. They even went as far as measuring wind gusts and direction on our wedding day so they can angle our ceremony where the wind was not blowing directly on my face--THAT'S the level of attention and care you will get from them. I am not exaggerating when I say we didn't have to lift a finger for any of it. We simply got to be present with our loved ones and savor all the wedding bliss.

My entire journey with IDoObx was seamless and put me at ease with the wedding planning process. Their portal made communication with all of my vendors easy and they were super prompt on their responses. I liked to be involved in every step of my wedding and they made me feel a part of the process. I kept changing my mind on flowers and they were so kind and even took the time to call me and send me pictures of ideas so I was totally happy and confident with my choices. The flowers turned out beautiful and I’m currently drying them so I can keep them forever. Also the day before my wedding they gave me the option to rent a sweetheart table. We chatted on the phone and they were so kind and willing to do anything to make my special day perfect. I even received some calming words of wisdom when I mentioned I was nervous. I didn’t have to worry about the set up or break down of anything and everything was just to my liking. There are simply not enough good things to say about I DO OBX. We got married at the Kitty Hawk Pier House and I DO OBX worked seamlessly with event staff to coordinate all aspects of our wedding day, which included, but was not limited to, chair setup, staging and decorating the arbor on the pier, lighting, draperies, flower and seating displays, as well as bride and groom table setup. Their team was prompt, efficient, came and went without being noticed. It was as seamless as it gets.
Our first phone call with Tony was about what we wanted on our wedding day. He was detailed and asked many questions to ensure he had every detail to make our day perfect. I sent pictures of exactly what we wanted, and they made suggestions that enhanced and improved what we thought was already perfect. Professional experience with a family feel!
While we vacation in the Outer Banks every year, planning a destination wedding out of state felt overwhelming until we found I Do OBX. As a company they are detail-oriented wedding professionals, and as people they are warm and welcoming.
We first met the I Do OBX team at a wedding expo about 6 months before our wedding, and we knew immediately that we had found the right people to bring our vision together. Upon meeting us for the first time Tony hugged us as if we were old friends. Leading up to our wedding, Tony took the time to get to know us as a couple. He incorporated our story into our ceremony in such a beautiful and thoughtful way. Multiple friends and family members told us that they would consider getting married in OBX just to have Tony as their officiant!
At the wedding expo, we also had the chance to meet our DJ, Alec. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Alec was! There was quite a range of ages and taste in music at our wedding, but Alec played something for everyone. At the end of the night Alec even jumped in the pool with my husband, which brought smiles and laughter to the entire party.
Every detail of our wedding day was perfect, thanks to I Do OBX. They designed the most beautiful set up on the beach for our ceremony, including all of the florals! They also transformed the outdoor space at our house into a dance floor, complete with lighting.
Tony, Alec, and the entire I Do OBX staff were there to answer any questions we had and make recommendations when we needed them. Tony even recommended our wedding photographer (Jonathon Pillow), who was also an absolute delight to work with!
We owe a huge thank you to the I Do OBX family for making our wedding even more beautiful than we could have dreamed!

From the very beginning we had a vision of exotic greens, color bursts and to transform the DWCC ballroom into the Roaring 20's Great Gatsby themed wedding. Shirley was amazing to work with! She just got it and played with styles, heights, colors, vessels and lighting until the vision came into fruition. The transformation of the ballroom was amazing! The outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour all looked beautiful. The goal is always for the bride and groom to be blown away at the ballroom reveal and I Do OBX nailed!! I truly can’t say enough about I Do OBX. We wanted to do an intimate beach elopement, but ideally I wanted an arbor for us to say our vows under, photography, beautiful florals, and a solid person to marry us. We couldn’t have met a more perfect match to meet our needs! Great price, flexible payment plans, and besides a few decisions along the way, it was all thoughtless and stress-free! Everyone exclaimed the week of how calm and cool I was, I knew that I could trust I Do OBX and they had everything under control.
We loved sitting down and meeting with Tony beforehand and walked away knowing we had the perfect person to marry us. The day of, he texted to make sure all was good and because it was a little bit chillier than expected out, wanted to see if we wanted to move the time or make any changes. The crew who came who set everything up were fantastic and so nice. Kaylee, our photographer, was wonderful and we are so thankful for the shots that she captured. Tony used his expertise upon arrival, hopping in to fasten my husband’s boutonnière and ensuring everything went according to plan and smooth sailing.
While our guest count was small, everyone raved about how beautiful everything looked and how amazing Tony was with the ceremony. It was everything we could’ve asked for, and more. Thank you SO much, I Do OBX!I Do OBX Weddings and Events's reply:

The beach wedding was absolutely amazing. The weather started out not looking good on Friday. Tony and his crew went in to action and started the wedding a few hours early because there was a window where there was no rain. The arbor, flowers and chairs all set up were fantastic. If you’re getting married on the beach, IDoOBX is a MUST!
We got married at the Kitty Hawk Pierhouse on 5/11 and Tony, Mary, and the IDoOBX team were a HUGE part of why our special day went so smoothly and was absolutely perfect. I met Tony at the OBX wedding expo in 2023 and my mom and I both instantly felt the best energy from him, and knew that we wanted to work with him. From the entire ceremony setup and florals, to the lighting and draping in the pierhouse, they made our vision come to life with so much attention to detail(including ones we hadn’t yet thought of, which was a life saver!). We got an endless amount of compliments on Tony’s officiating services and comments about how professional and well spoken he was, as well as how beautiful he made our ceremony from start to finish. We even had multiple people tell us it was the best ceremony they had ever heard. Tony took the time to get to know us and by the time our big day came, he felt like family and really helped to ease our wedding day jitters! Incredible
The IDoOBX team was incredible from start to finish. Mary and Tony were responsive starting 2 years before our wedding when we were just trying to figure out if our dream day was even a possibility. As we continued to go through the planning process, they continued to help us make our visions come to life despite some of the complicated details of our Hindu-American fusion wedding ceremony. Our ceremony required a “mandap” or stage as the altar, which was very new and unique for weddings on the Outer Banks. Despite not being done before, Tony and Mary rose to the challenge and sourced EXACTLY what we needed. Not only did they do the research and purchase the stage, they went out of their way to test it ahead of time to ensure it met THEIR high standards.
The set-up team was thorough, efficient, and polite throughout the week and they really gave 100% effort setting up our ceremony in our gale force winds! The team was flexible and ultimately helped our day look fabulous.

I had a great experience using I Do OBX for my wedding.
I originally found I DO OBX Wedding when I was beginning my planning starting with a wedding officiant. Tony had great reviews as a wedding officiant, so I reached out. FYO, I live in MD, so I was flying a little blind planning a wedding in OBX.
What I found was so much more than a good officiant, I Do OBX weddings had a whole network of vendors including musicians, DJ, Florist, Photographer, Videographer, Cake etc. Basically, it's almost like having a great wedding planner who handles all of the vendors without the cost of a wedding planner.
In addition, Tony and team really provide a personal touch and work to make you feel that they care about the couple and making the most of their wedding day.

Perfection!
I DO OBX was absolutely phenomenal and highly recommended for anyone to use whether it be a wedding like mine or any other event. The team is all inclusive to include set up, decorations, officiant, DJ and everything in between. My floral arrangement was so beautiful. The venue was like a dream. Everyone raved about the attention to detail in the overall ambience of the space. My officiant, Jake, walked us through the whole process and made the whole day seem easy. Our DJ, Alec, not only kept the music blasting but also was spectacular at announcing and the order of events. A special thanks to Tony and Mary as they made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with even though I knew they had their hands full. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect | MS -> NC Wedding
My now wife and I originally met in the Outer Banks of North Carolina while she was stationed there with the Coast Guard. We knew for our wedding we would have to bring it back to where it all started.
Tony and IDoOBX's reviews absolutely speak for themselves - and paired with an introductory call, we quickly made our decision that we wanted to work with them.
It can be stressful planning a wedding in a location that you live half way across the country from, but Tony's organization and consistent communication kept us stress free - knowing that he was on top of things. We had several phone calls, an in-person meeting and a Zoom call where he really took the time to learn us and our story. It was clear he cared about our wedding as much as we did.
All of this time we spent talking was worth it when it came time for the ceremony as it was an absolute tear-jerker. He highlighted how we originally met, our first date, and even paid tribute to my wife's 7 year military service (he even shouted out our foster dog that made the trek from MS). Every single person in attendance for our wedding had nothing but positive things to say about everything that was said.
Neither me nor my wife ever really had a "dream wedding," but if we did, it would have been what the team at IDoOBX helped bring to life. The florals and decor from top to bottom were out of this world - words can't even do them justice (which is why we have pictures). Their entire crew is friendly, personable and was overall just happy to be a part of our special day.

Working with Mary and Tony was seamless. They made notes of our daughter’s requests. Sent photos and maintained a dialogue with us and our wedding planner to ensure that all of our daughter’s wishes were addressed. The special driftwood wedding arch was so beautiful and the decor in the KHPH was perfect!

Our wedding was two weeks ago and we can’t stop thinking about how beautiful our day was thanks to I Do Obx Weddings and Events. They made all of our wedding dreams come true! Tony and Mary were such a pleasure to work with. Tony was our officiant and I can’t say enough good things about him. We could tell that he loves his job by how invested he was when trying to get to know Wes and I. He made sure that we were both comfortable every step of the way. Our relationship & love was reflected perfectly in the beautiful ceremony that Tony led. Mary and her team including Kristin really took the time to understand my vision for florals and decor. I can’t express my gratitude enough for them. I get so happy thinking about how beautiful the floral arrangements for our tables, arbor and bouquets were. They looked like they were out of a magazine! Our decor was also a main highlight of the wedding. The arbor, tables, chairs for ceremony & reception, and decor for the reception & ceremony were breathtaking! I felt like I was in great hands going over the logistics of setting up and breaking down with Tyler and Jake. I felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of. Shoutout to the team of hardworking guys who setup/ broke everything down for us! Lucas, Josh, & Riley were awesome! Tony, Jake, and Tyler also stepped in to help as well! Alec was our DJ and we can’t recommend him enough! He kept the whole day running smoothly & he is so fun as an MC. I have had so many guests compliment him and how fun he was! He kept everyone on the dance floor all night! Last but definitely not least, we used Katie & Keenan for videography. These two are a power team! Katie was beyond helpful during the day & even helped to keep things running smoothly by gathering family and friends during portraits. She also went above and beyond by making sure I was comfortable throughout the day. Keenan was so creative and gave off such a calm energy which was so appreciated! We are so excited to see their hard work come to life! Excellent communication and great value
Tony, Mary and their team were one of the best parts of our wedding day. Tony took the time to get to know us and really made our ceremony unique, thoughtful, and special. He listened to exactly what we were looking for, anticipated the issues that could arise and I wouldn’t change a thing.
The decor, set up, and flowers were perfect. Amazing bang for your buck and gorgeous. They worked with us to add things we needed and the flowers were stunning! -
