  Best wedding planner

  Amy and her team were truly AMAZING! she made my whole dream wedding come to life and listened to every little detail that i wanted. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone she made my day go so smoothly and was there to answer any question I had throughout the wedding planning process. she also did my florals and they were GEORGOUS

  The Best Team Ever!

  Amy and Caitlyn were absolutely invaluable to my wedding's success. I hired Do Me A Favor as my "Month Of" Planners, but Amy and Caitlyn spent months before my wedding meeting with me, offering advice, and helping me in any way that I needed. Both went above and beyond to ensure that my day went absolutely perfectly. They also were my florists, and I am still getting compliments about the floral arrangements at my wedding. I cannot thank them enough. Amy was my Lead Planner and was there for me throughout my wedding day. She knew exactly what to do. She expertly handled vendors, guests, and even attempted wedding crashers. I would recommend Do Me A Favor to anyone looking to plan a wedding. I couldn't have done it without them!

  We contacted Amy and her team about 7 months before our wedding and knew from that initial phone call that our wedding was in the right hands. They are so kind, thorough, and professional. In all honesty, preparing for our wedding was fun for me and my husband because we knew DMAF had all the details under control. We also used Amy for our florals and we’re IN LOVE with how beautifully everything came together. They took our vision and turned it into our dream wedding. Hire them - it’ll be the best decision you make.

  Wedding MVPs

  I hired Amy and Lori for Month of Wedding Planning and all my Florals back in March 2020 for our May 2021 wedding at Wrightsville Manor. As my wedding planning world and the world in general was going in a downward spiral, their positive outlook and cheery personalities helped us get through some covid unknowns which I am beyond grateful for!! Even though they were only hired for month of, both Amy and Lori met with me, Brendan and our parents both in June and October to help pick rentals and catering and had follow-up calls with me 6 and 3 months out. During these times, the state was going through several mandate changes which added so much more stress to the planning process. They kept their cool and kept me from jumping off the deep end as my fiancé and I contemplated postponing. They reassured us that they will make anything they can work and still make this day the most amazing day possible. And I am SO GLAD we kept our original date!
  Fast forward.... Wedding Day was honestly such a blur to me as the it flew by, but what I do remember is how beautiful the venue was when I first walked inside once they had decorated it! With the 5 lanterns from White Birch Rentals, Amy created a GORGEOUS greenery hanging installation for the above centerpiece, the table centerpieces flowers, the flowers on the steeple arch for the ceremony and my 9 bridesmaid's bouquets, as well as my huuuuge bouquet!! (all pictured below)
  Lori and another assistant got the whole wedding party and myself down that aisle for the ceremony and made sure I was taken care of during dinner and in between until I was dancing the night away with my favorite people, without a care in the world. Which is all I wanted to do at the end of the day!
  They were so accommodating to even stay until midnight, which was an extra hour later than we planned originally even though they had another wedding to set-up for early the next day. I am so grateful to have chosen DMAF - Amy and Lori were basically my (a little less crazy) extra moms during this hectic time when I thought I was going to explode with panic over the pandemic issues that kept popping up. All their hard work and dedication was pulled off seamlessly and I couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you forever to Amy and Lori & the DMAF team!! We love you!!

  She is highly experienced and organized! My original wedding date had to be rescheduled due to Covid Amy and her team helped me through out the whole process! I chose the month of package but she went above and beyond helping me throughout the entire year of planning. She literally made this whole experience 10x easier for me. Day of the wedding she took charge and made sure everything was going according to plan not to mention beautiful florals and design. Forever grateful to have had her on my special day!

  The BEST planners!

  Amy and Lori were INCREDIBLE!!!! We had all the obstacles you could think of and they took care of literally anything you could think of! We found out 3 weeks prior our venue couldn’t hold us so we moved to my parents house in hampstead and basically had to rearrange all the details to make it happen and they did it seamlessly. Then it rained ALL day and you wouldn’t even have known it thanks to them. They took care of everything for us and it was the most beautiful, perfect wedding ever!!!

  Amy and Lori were absolutely fantastic! Super responsive and flexible especially having to deal with all the Covid 19 craziness. I couldn’t have my originally planned wedding due to it, but they made my intimate “elopement” style stunning! Amy also was my florist and I couldn’t have imagined the mantle or my bouquet any better. She and Lori really do amazing work.

  Amy and Lori...where do I begin? You made my dreams come true. From before the engagement you guys already had everything planned out. On the day of the wedding, I had no stress, ok maybe a little stress but that is normal, for me at least. Everything from the rehearsal to the morning of, to the ceremony to the reception was flawless. Not only did they achieve my dream wedding but they went above and beyond. They handled every little detail from the design, the timeline, the chaos, and the flowers. Everything was perfect and I am so lucky I had you two there. Thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart and let's start planning our 1-year anniversary/vow renewal, I want it all again.

  Don’t plan your wedding without them

  What can I say other than Lori at “Do Me A Favor Weddings” was a godsend. She is as involved or hands off as you want. As a second time bride who knew what she did and didn’t want, Lori allowed me to control my day while supporting me without pressure. Her patience and ability to read me and the situation was priceless as she ensured I had the perfect wedding. I can’t thank her and Amy enough for giving me everything I wanted. By the time my day had come and gone they felt like family. Worth every penny as They come with my highest recommendation.

  Lori was amazing!

  Amy and her staff handled our wedding on 9.1.18, of about 250 people in Wilmington, NC. And it was fantastic! We were looking for a Wedding planner that really knew the Wilmington, NC since we currently live in Honolulu, HI. Amy provided us with amazing service from the first Face-time appointment from HI to NC, to the big day. I provided Amy with multiple google docs of the vision for the wedding, spreadsheets, wedding booklet, and seating arrangement ( which she told me I didn't have to do, but I am a commercial interior designer) and she took it and went to work. I had about 2 meetings with Amy on site, multiple phones, emails, cake tasting, and food tasting and just really built a wonderful relationship with her. Amy came to be my best friend in this wedding planing process, a great person to bring ideas to, and even what doesn't work from her professional opinion. Amy handled the hard stuff, and custom designed ceiling installations from our conversations. I can't thank Amy enough at how successful the wedding day was. She handled the hard conversations, kept us on time, on task, and even handled a vendor that didn't properly setup correctly. Many of my guest that have worked with wedding planners said multiple times that they have never seen a planner that was so calm, put together and hardworking as she was the day of the event. Amy is a wonderful person to work with and a joy, I will continue to recommend her for any opportunity or event. Mahalo to all her hard work!

  Amy is the absolute best. She did everything she could to make sure my day was a special was I wanted it to be. There were many hiccups in the road but Amy was there to make everything better.   Amy was our day-of coordinator for our wedding on September 23rd, 2016. BEST DECISION EVER! She is fantastic. She made our vision come to life and made the day so easy...we just got to sit back and go wherever we were told to go rather than stressing about what we were supposed to be doing.   Amy was our day-of-event-coordinator for our wedding at Wrightsville Manor. I can't thank Amy and her assistant enough for all the help. She truly became like a friend to us in such a short time while still maintaining her professionalism the entire step of the way. As stressful as weddings can be, you NEED an event coordinator (even though we didn't realize it at first), and you NEED Amy. Amy saved the day so many times and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond for us through the entire planning process and on our wedding day. I will be referring her to everyone I know as they plan their big day!

She recommended the best DJ and lights vendor who were extremely professional, did the due diligence to make our day happen without any hick-ups. We had other vendors already lined up, but if you need recommendations for others - she has the full list. Amy met us at the venue and already had a vision of where/how to place tables, food, bar, dance floor. She took charge and our wedding day was perfect as she was the wonderful force behind the scenes making it happen so that we and the guests would have amazing time. Thank you, Amy!

  My husband and I were planning a wedding in Southport, but we live in Asheboro, about 3 hours away. We booked Amy to be our weekend wedding planner, but she was so much more! She helped us throughout the entire wedding planning process- lining up tastings, communicating with people in that area, meeting with us several times, and calling to check up on things every so often. The day of the wedding I had nothing to worry about. Amy took care of everything- and then some! At the rehearsal we noticed a lot of mosquitoes for example, and Amy took it upon herself to get bugspray and a basket for us. She was always one step ahead of me in the planning, but also wanted to hear my thoughts and ideas. She was genuinely excited about our wedding, and even joined in the dancing and celebrating. She ran around the place in a beautiful dress and bright pink tennis shoes- she was constantly smiling and making sure that my husband and I were enjoying ourselves and not worrying about anything. She made sure everything went smoothly! I can not say enough about how much her help meant to us on our big day. She has a gift for wedding planning and I highly recommend her to anyone getting married in this area.

  The best decision I made was hiring Amy as my Event Coordinator. I originally thought that I could do all the planning on my own. And my Mom and I did 95% of it. But then a couple weeks before the wedding, it was recommended to us to hire her to make sure everything runs smoothly the day of. And that is exactly what Amy did and more. She reassured me that she could take on the remainder of the planning. So I handed the reins over to Amy and she kept us organized and on task throughout the process. She contacted all my vendors before hand and met up with them for the set up at both of my locations the morning before the wedding while I was with my bridesmaids drinking mimosas and getting "beautiful". She arranged and decorated my ceremony and reception space to literally take my breath away. Amy is kind, calm, professional, and super organized. She was literally running all over the place making sure everything was perfect. I was able to really enjoy my wedding day because I was not worried or even thinking about the details any more. Amy had my back. Her service was very affordable and trust me, she deserved every penny. Do yourself a favor and hire Amy from Do Me a Favor Weddings. She was a Rock star! :)

She even made our bouquets and boutonnieres! I am normally a very control-freak kind of person, but with Amy taking care of every detail of my wedding day, I didn't have a worry in the world and could enjoy all the emotions of getting married and being surround by my family and friends. Amy was not only worth every penny we paid for her services, she's worth her weight in gold!
