First of all, I would like to thank Maria for helping me find the PERFECT wedding dress! Honestly, I couldn't have done it without her. Planning a wedding in such a short period of time was challenging and stressful to begin with, but Maria worked with me every step of the way making sure I look amazing for my special day! She went above and beyond not only helping me find a beautiful wedding dress but a veil, jewelry, and shoes as well! Maria was always available to meet with me and answer all of my questions. Dimitra's Bridal has the best designers, and the staff is very professional and courteous.

Dimitra's is the best! I'm not sure I chose to go there but I'm glad that when I was doing my research on where to go to find my dress for one of the biggest days of my life Dimitra's popped up. It's small, intimate, one-on-one customer service while giving you the upscale feel that you'd want when choosing a dress for your wedding day. The selection is, simply, gorgeous. You won't just find any designer at Dimitra's. You'll find the best.
Tina picked my dress and gosh did she pick right. When the veil was placed on my head - I cried! It was the dress.
Their customer service is incomparable! They worked around my schedule as I had to fly back to my hometown Chicago for fittings (I currently live in Maryland). Any questions I had were promptly answered via e-mail. Even after the wedding when I needed advice on where to get my dress cleaned and preserved, Dimitra's had the answer.
It was a pleasure! I felt welcomed. My family felt welcome. And everyone, and I do mean everyone, was a pleasure to work with. THANK YOU ALL!

I was very happy with my experience at Dimitra's. i was planning a semi-traditional wedding and had already been to many smaller boutiques that carries less traditional dresses. I thought Dimitra's would be out of my price range, but I decided to try it anyway. It was early March, and my wedding was in mid August—in other words, everyone balked at how late I was shopping. I went to Dimitra's looking for something lacy but not ballgowny. I tried on a number of options, but nothing was working. Then I saw a woman in a full-on ballgown, and I though, "ah, well I should probably try on one..." I did, and it was great—and in my price range. They put it aside for me while my friend and I got lunch and walked around to decide (warning me all the while that I had to decide *right away* because it was so late in the game). I got the dress and a lace bolero to go over it.

My wedding was in New York, and they shipped the dress and bolero to me with no issues. I was happy with how they communicated the options for shipping versus picking up (there are some tax and fee differences). I opted not to get the dress tailored in New York, but I got a quote from Dimitra's and it was around the same as what I ended up paying.

The last thing to mention is that while I ended up with a traditional dress, my friend and I were not traditional customers. We had unshaved armpits and legs, were loud and goofy, and cringed at traditional wedding language. The salespeople did not make me feel uncomfortable and worked with us as we were.

The staff was great! I found my Pronovias dress there and they were willing to help me on all my needs. My dress got there on time as well as my veil and valero. They always honor your appointment. & they don't stress you out. Stress is definitely something you don't need once you found your dress. I thank all the staff for making my wedding shopping a breeze.

I could not be happier with the dress I recently purchased through Dimitra's. I had the most wonderful experience with the consultant working with me, Marsha. She was incredibly sweet and helpful. I felt so lucky to have worked with her, we just didn't want to leave to go to our next appointment. The salon is nicely decorated, clean and well lit. Great mirrors for multiple brides. Really a salon that makes you feel bridal and excited to buy a dress! I have already told my engaged sister that she must go and work with Marsha at Dimitra's and I would tell you all the same!

I highly recommend Dimitras! They have a great variety of dresses and price points, as well as tons of accessories, veils, etc. Also, I cannot recommend Tina enough. She is incredibly warm and really makes you feel comfortable trying on dresses. She is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I am very satisfied with my experience at Dimitras.

I love Dimitra's. I saw my dream wedding dress in a picture online from an Ines DiSanto runway show and didn't know how I was going to get it since it wasn't going to be mass produced for commercial stores. I called Dimitra's and they found the dress, had it sent to me (the one from the actual runway show), and ordered it for me. The women who work at Dimitra's are knowledgeable and sweet and the tailors are absolute miracle workers. My silk dress had a train composed of layers and layers of fabric and they worked to create an amazingly delicate bustle and hemmed it perfectly. I was not a dream customer, as I have a condition in which I faint after standing still for 20 minutes or more. Everyone at the store worked around my time constraints and were so kind and sweet to me. The dress was ready exactly when they said it would be and it was steamed and perfect. The dress was definitely a one-of-a kind gown and without Dimitra's, I'm not sure I could have gotten it. They did everything to make sure I was happy and looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Dimitra's not only for the dresses they have in the store (to be honest, I didn't really look at them but from what I glanced at, they looked pretty), but for having the ability to track down a dress you see online and get it for you. Thank you, Dimitra's!

I found the dress of my dreams here. It was within my budget and it came in when they said it would. We didn't use them for alterations because we found a less expensive alternative, but they did a great job with all of the services that they provided us.

My dress was an Enzoani Casablanca dress, which I bought at Dimitra's. Their service is fantastic. I worked with Alicia and thought she was really wonderful. Despite what you might think, they actually have a good selection of dresses that are less than $2k, and while their alterations are expensive, I do think it's worth it because their seamstress is an expert (she came up with an idea to add extra boning below the bodice of my dress and it was the perfect idea). It was always a pleasure to visit their shop, and I'd recommend it to anyone. My sister also got her dress there!

Loved Dimitra's! I tried on only one dress at this store, but they were very patient as I came back two more times before deciding to buy it. (I was between this and another dress elsewhere.) Each time I came in for a fitting, they were patient and helpful as I tried on my veil, jewelry, etc. with the dress. Agnes in alterations did a magnificent job tailoring the dress just how it was supposed to fit. The alterations were all-inclusive, but they were expensive! That is the only downside at all, but the alterations are probably comparable to any other bridal shop in the Gold Coast. I loved my dress and loved working with all the ladies in the shop.

Dimitra's Bridal delivered the spectacular wedding dress I was hoping for. It was a customized Ines DiSanto gown. The experienced staff was able to help me create a beautiful dress. From ordering to alterations, they did a fantastic job keeping me updated and informed of the progress. And all promised delivery dates were met.

Not only did I find my dress at Dimitra's, my mom and sister also found dresses. Dimitra's has a wonderful selection of mother-of-bride gowns. My mom looked stunning in her gown as did my sister in her maid-of-honor dress.

Fantastic staff, amazing gowns, outstanding results.

I made the initial appointment at Dimitra's because I was interested in the Enzoani and Blue by Enzoani bridal lines (both of which they carry). I asked about specific styles and they pulled 4 or 5 dresses for me. When none of these worked the way I had hoped - they brought my mom and I back into the dress closet and let us go wild. I think I tried on maybe 15 dresses in total? One of the best parts of my visit was that there was no sales pressure at all. They stayed within my budget (up to 3k) on all dresses they pulled and offered great advice without ever making me feel like I was under any pressure to buy from them.

My Mom really liked one of the dresses there but I wasn't so sure about it. So we left to look at another shop - Marcia gave me her card and said they hoped to see me again - but again just very nice with no pressure. So we tried on about 20 dresses at the next place but none of them were great. Mom unexpectedly decided she wanted to see me in the dress she liked at Dimitra's one more time before she flew home that afternoon. So at about 12:30pm that day I called Dimitra's and explained the situation - to my surprise they said we could come right over and it was no problem.

So back we went and I tried the dress on a 2nd time. We both liked it for the most part but it has a beaded belt that sits at a low/dropped waist. They called the designer for me and got them to agree to raise the beaded belt to my natural waist for a nominal fee. I tried on veils, Mom cried and the ladies at the salon were very sweet.

The customer service here throughout my entire experience was excellent. The ladies let me come in multiple times to try on accessories with the dress, they extended appointments so that when my mom's flight got in late she could make my final fitting, anything to help me out they were ready and willing to do. In the end the dress was perfect and I felt beautiful. I would recommend this shop to everyone!

Dmitra's was awesome. I thought it would be too expensive since it's located on Rush, but they carry a wide variety of price points. I found the perfect dress with the help of Marcia. They often have trunk sales so keep an eye out for those. I really loved the Pronovias and San Patrick lines. Thanks Dmitra's!

Prior to my visit to Dimitras, I thought that I I found "the dress" but I wanted to go to Dimitras before making my final decision. When I made my appointment, they asked me about my budget and asked me to bring in photos of dresses that I liked. This was fantastic because when I walked in for my appointment, I didn't have to have the awkward conversation about budget - I just handed over the pictures and within 5 minutes the dressing room was filled with 7 or 8 dresses. I didn't fit in all of the sample dresses, but the people at the salon made me feel totally comfortable and were able to pin the dress on me in a way that I'd get an idea of what they would look like. One of the dresses I tried on was nice and I decided to bring my maid of honor back to see it before making a final decision.

The next time I went to Dimitras (about a week later), not only did I try on the dress that I liked, but they brought out several different dresses that they thought would look good on me - one of which was different than I ever thought I'd want. I put it on, looked in the mirror and could not believe how amazing I looked. Dimitras was the only place that I went to that paid attention to my body and style and weren't afraid to make suggestions. I knew that it was THE dress and I placed my order. Even better - the dress was on the lower end of my budget! When I expressed concern that I might be tugging on the top of the dress all night, they suggested adding removable cap sleeves that look amazing. They are by far the nicest people I met throughout the bridal dress search. I highly recommend visiting Dimitras!

Dimitra's was great! Everyone was so nice and despite its Gold Coast location, they were understanding that everyone has a budget. They very happily helped me find dresses that met my budget and I found the one. They're style is more European and every time I went in, the dresses on display were stunning. They were also very accommodating and had no problem with me stopping by when my mother in law was in town and wanted to see it. Very friendly people!

LOVED my dress and the service provided at Dimitra's. I went down 2-3 sizes between buying my dress and going in for alterations and my dress had a very intricate lace pattern design and train. They altered it to fit PERFECTLY in record time and altered the train to be just the lace pattern without the lining which looked amazing! They were also just always a lot of fun and so helpful when I went in for fittings. Highly recommend!

The ladies at Dimitra's bridal are wonderful. This family-owned bridal salon does a fantastic job of making you feel comfortable and letting you experience wedding dress shopping the way it should be - fun!

Ismini and all of the girls were so patient throughout the entire process, even going so far as to contact a designer directly for a veil due to a last minute change the week before my wedding. It was there in only a few days.

I went to many different bridal salons and couldn't have been happier with the dress that I ended up with. Their tailoring was flawless - the dress fit perfectly! And ultimately, the most important thing about making a dress standout, is whether or not you have a perfect fit.

Dimitra's Bridal was my last stop in a whirlwind weekend of dress shopping with my mom, matron of honor and soon to be mother-in-law. While I visited all the normal gold coast dress places, I hadn't really found MY dress. Needless to say, I went into Dimitra's feeling deflated. Mendy did everything she could to make sure I was going to find my dress there and in the end I DID. She put me in a beautiful lace gown that I loved but she noticed it was missing something and went away to get something. She came back with a beautiful bolero to put over it and BAM I had found my dress! It was the most amazing feeling and I only have Mendy to thank for it. She really took her time to listen to what I was looking for and making it happen. They were incredibly helpful in working with me on shipping it to where I currently live now and everyone was so lovely whenever I went for my fittings. I would definitely recommend them to any bride!

EXCELLENT bridal boutique. From the start the staff were attentive, detailed and patient. I knew the dress I wanted and they had it ready along with a few others similar in style. They assisted with styling and dressing each dress. I also used Dimitras for alterations and they were AMAZING! The owner was present during several visits and clearing the family is dedicated to their work. They want to make every bride shine! The owner is Greek and since my Greek grandmother could not be with us, my mother and I told everyone NeNe guided us to the right spot- PERFECTION!

I cannot say enough good things about Dimitra's. They welcome you with a hug and make you feel special. It is the type of place that you just cant help to smile. I had been to other stores where I felt rushed, and constantly reminded of my time slot. Dimitra's can be packed but they never once make you feel like you need to leave, they simply find more room!. I am also a size 10 which in some stores was bigger then the samples. I had stores tell me to simply envision. We all know this does not work! Dimitras seemed to have bigger samples and more will power to get the dress on you even if the seems pulled a little. I ended up getting the second dress I tried on. The real fun came when I took my bridesmaids in. They allowed 5 girls to try on almost every dress and have a fashion show. It was so much fun! When looking for a veil and jewelry they didnt for once second pressure me to buy from them ( I was shocked by this) They knew what my budget was for accessories and even made recommendations where I could find in my price range! Don't waste your time going to other stores!

I purchased my dress from Dimitra's and had the best experience from start to finish. I worked primarily with Alicia during the purchasing, and then Agnes for the alterations. Both women were such a pleasure to work with - they were accountable, professional and I left each and every appointment knowing I (and my dress) was in good hands.

Although the alterations are expensive here, they are impeccably done. Not only did Agnes and Alicia patiently wait for me to hem and haw over every little decision, but they put so much care and effort into making sure my dress fit perfectly. I felt as though the higher-than-average cost of doing alterations at the salon was worth knowing I'd have a dress that fit like a glove. And it did. Thank you, Alicia and Agnes!

You may not find THE dress here, but it's certainly worth checking out. They have a great selection, work within a variety of budgets and are real joy to work with!

This place is WONDERFUL! The ladies that work there are incredibly professional and good at what they do! They will find the perfect dress and make you look great! I was only in time for a brief time and we were able to find a dress and schedule a fitting. We also bought all of our bridesmaid dresses there, too, because it was pretty reasonably priced.

Pleasantly surprised with this dress salon in that I could afford a dress here. Ladies....check it out! Just be upfront and honest with them about your budget. I found my beautiful and perfect dress here. VERY happy. :)

Only complaint was with the alterations. They are a bit pricey. But, luckily I didn't need too many so it wasn't too crazy.

I fell in love with a Pronovias gown at this bridal shop! They were under construction at the time but it looked like they were making it very cute and modern on the interior. I ended up taking my dress elsewhere for alterations because they quoted me at almost $800! Other than that I would recommend to friends!

They have amazing dresses here and do a wonderful job on alterations. However, they are a bit pricey. Alterations for my gown were $850.00. My gown was about $2,500, veil was $1,200, and sash was $500. Undergarments were an additional cost including the slip to add volume to the dress. It was beautiful, but not cheap. However, there are more expensive bridal gowns as well so it all depends on your personal preference.

They were also willing to change my appointments on two separate occasions as I was coming from out-of-town. They were definitely very helpful.

I have nothing bad to say about Dimitra's. They were completely professional, responsive, and helpful. Our consultant, Lumi, went above and beyond to assist us, making multiple appointments to show dresses various members of my family. The alterations were extremely expensive, but I felt no pressure or obligation to have my alterations done there. They were able to contact me at regular intervals to check in and make sure I did not need the alterations, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and I recommend it to anyone. Such an incredible contrast with my House of Brides experience for my reception dress!!!

Dimitra's has an absolutely gorgeous selection of dresses. I was surprised (given the location and the poshness of the shop) that so many dresses were in my price range (under $2000). I ended up purchasing a floor sample of a discontinued Ines DiSanto gown. The staff cleaned it and provided top-notch alterations. It fit like a glove and I felt like a million bucks!

I bought the dress for my 10/17/17 wedding from Dimitras. I had a good idea of what I wanted as I had been looking online for a while. I fell for the brand Pronovias, and wrote Dimitras with a list of the dresses I was interested in (I live 3 hrs from Chicago). Emails were answered fast and clearly. On the day of my appt, Nicole (the stylist) asked a few questions and she pretty much got exactly what I was looking for. She was very knowledgeable and respectful. She also asked about budget, which I found helpful as it saves time and avoids heartbreak later. She showed me all the dresses I asked for, and suggested a few more. I am so glad she did. She brought an additional Pronovias gown that did not catch my eye online. Even though it looked OK on the hanger, as soon as I put it on I knew that was my dress! After a glass of champagne, they took my measurements and ordered the gown which took ~4 months to arrive (as estimated). I didn't know a seamstress at home, so I asked about theirs. It is not cheap compared to other places, but it was worth every penny. They were accommodating with the appt times since I was out of town. We scheduled the 1st trial and measurements on the same day. It took ~2 hours on a Sat afternoon but she measured everything (including the bustle). If I could change one thing about the experience, it would be the day of the appointment. That Saturday was hectic and I had to wait a while since the seamstress was with another bride, so if you can go on a weekday, it will probably be less busy and won’t feel rushed. I went the 2nd time to try the dress (~4 weeks after), and the dress fit PERFECTLY - nothing needed to be altered! They had the dress pressed and ready for me to take home the same day. Just saving 1-2 extra trips out of town before the wedding was enough for me to pay that price. I got so many compliments on that dress. I got an amazing dress that perfectly, and it was done on time in just 2 trials. Highly recommended!

While my gown was certainly reasonably priced....I can't say the same for alterations, which were half the price of the gown to begin with. Otherwise, the store is beautiful and the girls are easy to work with. They have a great selection of dresses as well.

I absolutely loved my dress and so did everyone else! I went on a Saturday morning before the shop got crowded only 6 months before my wedding. My consultant was able to quickly pull 3 dresses based on our discussion of what I was looking for, and the first one I tried was perfect. I had tried on lots of dresses before, but there was always something off, but this dress was perfect and I couldn't believe how easy it was. They were able to have the dress ready for my wedding without any problems. They're currently located on Oak St since their Rush store is under construction, but it's not hard to find. The seamstress was very competent and she did what she said she would well. I got tons of compliments on my dress, and I'm sad I don't get to wear it again. I was thrilled with the experience overall, although they did try to sell me some expensive hairpieces and alterations weren't cheap (not that they would be anywhere though). I love my dress and they made the process very easy and fun.

Beautiful Dress

My dress was gorgeous, I still love it, and I got compliments from everyone at the wedding. For reference, my dress was $4000 and alterations were $975. The only thing I would tell someone getting alterations done at Dimitra’s would be that you sometimes have to spell things out for them. There were a couple instances where at one fitting appointment we would talk about something to be done and I’d leave thinking that what we talked about would be done the next time… Then at the next appointment I’d show up and we’d go over the same thing again and nothing would have been done already. In my case, my dress had a deep V, but for church my mom wanted me to have some lace to cover the V. So at my first fitting we spent like 15 minutes talking about this lace insert and planning how we would make it match. Then, at the next appointment when it wasn’t done I was like why isn’t this done? It made me doubt their abilities and worry that the dress would get goofed up. However, in the end it turned out great. But I think it may have been smoother if I had been like, “ok so will this be done next time?” Also, at my third fitting I had been planning on taking the dress and they were like oh no you have to come back because it’ll take 4 hours to steam and press it. My wedding was a week and a half away.. I wish I would’ve told them to have it pressed ahead of time since I had to drive 1.5 hours to get it and pay for parking. Living in the suburbs, going back and forth to Dimitra’s was definitely a pain in my butt, however, I love my dress and I haven’t seen anything like it in any store or on TV.

I think I may have gotten lucky when I had my appointment at Dimitras.

I worked with a consultant named Marcia, and I believe she was one of the owners. She really did a great job of making me and my family feel comfortable. She was very friendly and matter of fact and honest when it came to my budget. She did not bring me any dresses way outside of my budget to try on, but only those she knew I could afford.

After finding a dress I really liked, I did not buy it right away as I still had a few other appointments. Unfortunately, they will not let you take photos unless you have bought the dress. So, once I was sure i wanted the dress, I came back with my sister to show her the dress. The woman this time that helped me was incredibly short with both of us, and rushed us in and out. I had the same experience when I went to pick up my dress with a different clerk.

I would recommend Dimitras for their selection if you are willing to spend at least $1500 on a dress. I would also recommend that you request Marcia to be your consultant, as she was excellent. Also - be aware that their alterations start at $500. I took my dress elsewhere to be altered.

The dress selection was excellent and the dress arrived well before the date. However, alteration costs were ridiculously high. We were told to order a larger size dress, we think, because alterations are where they make their profit. $600 for alterations!! Other places charge about $200. Ask for alteration prices ahead of time and don't fall into the trap of ordering a larger size dress. Also, the fasteners for the train were visible through the dress (bright colored thread) and was so complicated that we were unable to bustle it at the reception.

I'm conflicted because while I LOVED my dress- it was quite the hassle to get it to the correct size. When I ordered it and got measured I told them I wanted it 2 sizes bigger to ensure we could take it in, which we all know is easier/cheaper. I also told them I was switching jobs to a desk job, so a little weight gain was pretty much in my future, (I literally told them I would be bigger, and to order it bigger, verbatim). They also told me when I ordered it in August it would be in by Jan/Feb...it was in by May, and was the exact smaller measurements they had taken, not sized up like I asked. So they had to let it out- frustrating, but I am pretty easy going so I just let it go. The second fitting it was still too small, (and I was only about 5lbs heavier than my original measurements, nothing crazy), and I had a woman (a seamstress?) come in and literally POKING my stomach and telling me if I could just lose a few pounds it wouldn't be a problem. I was 5'4, 128lbs. REALLY?! So this woman made me feel horrible about myself, and I typically have no issues with my weight, if you are at all uncomfortable with your body DO NOT GO HERE! They have a mentality that everyone should be super model skinny, and this wasn't the runway, it was for my wedding. So my very angry mother told them to let it out again without charge or we wanted our money back, and to never bring that woman back in the fitting room with me. They cooperated, but I was already fairly traumatized and it was a pretty awful experience. In the end the dress was gorgeous and I loved it, but the process of fitting it was the WORST. If you get a dress here, maybe just take it somewhere else to get it tailored, and mention my review when you ask for it to be ordered bigger. And good luck in general woking with these people! (I should say my sales girl was very nice, and she was not involved in the tailoring, so my experience with that was fine.)

Terrible and expensive Taylor ruined then dress

Dress was made beautifully but the tailoring ruined the look with their terrible bustling. Wish we would have gone elsewhere for the alterations.

Dimitra's has beautiful wedding gowns, but very expensive. I bought my wedding gown there, they offered me the sample dress with a slight discount. Staff is not very friendly, a bit cold. The alterations are very expensive, wanted to charge me $750! And said it would be a lot of work, I took the dress somewhere else. If you have a specific designer in mind, find it at a different bridal boutique. The staff is somewhat helpful and friendly up until you buy the dress, after that they could care less.

We had several bridal appointments before we went into Dimitras. They were all beautiful experiences with kind and supportive assistants. This appointment at Dimitras was anything but. It was a HORRIBLE experience for my daughter. The first they did was asked if we had "wiggle room" in our budget. I would have bought my daughter anything she wanted but did not tell her that. The assistant was not supportive of kind in any way. She was abrasive and tried to get my daughter to come out of the dressing room in a dress that clearly was not for her. My daughter told her she didn't feel comfortable. After the second dress, my daughter was crying and stated she could not do this for another hour. With that we left.

I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. I have several friends whose children are getting married and I intend to tell them all to boycott this store. If the manager wants to contact me feel fee to call
