Dessert Works Made Our Wedding Extra Sweet!

We ordered our wedding cake from Dessert Works and it was an absolute showstopper! Not only was the design elegant and perfectly matched our vision, but the taste—WOW. The texture was incredibly soft, the flavor was rich but not overpowering, and every single guest raved about how delicious it was.

The mini-sized wedding cake they made for us was the cutest thing ever, and it completely stole my heart. It added such a sweet personal touch to our special day.

Dessert works was an absolute pleasure to work with! They made the entire process easy as we are from out of state and ordered a cake for our wedding in Foxborough MA. They were flexible with planning a tasting and working with us to ensure our cake was everything we hoped for. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and looked exactly as advertised (it was even more beautiful in person). Delivery was smooth and our guests were raving about how delicious it was. We couldn’t have asked for a better bakery to use for our wedding cake!!

Dessert Works Blew Us Away

We had such a wonderful experience with Dessert Works for our wedding! The cake tasting was so much fun and we loved getting to try so many flavors- we actually thought it was much harder than expected to choose because every flavor was so great. We ended up going with carrot cake and raspberry/chocolate and both were amazing! It was so easy to get our vision finalized for what we wanted the cake to look like. The look and taste were both perfect and all our guests raved about how delicious it was!

They pour love into their work

We are grateful to Dessert Works for their loving care of our wedding cake. Honestly the cake was an afterthought to us when we started planning our wedding, to the point that we had decided not to have one.

We chose the Lenox Hotel as our wedding venue (also gets top marks, btw). The Lenox partners with Dessert Works for wedding cakes, which is an early indicator of the quality product and service you're getting from the latter. But even so, we initially opted to exclude the cake from our wedding package. Wrong idea. We finally got around to looking at Dessert Works' website and when we saw their enticing list of flavors, our mouths started watering. We followed up with the Lenox and said hey, we DO want the cake.

We got to work with Ashley at Dessert Works. Her warmth and kindness over emails and calls did not go unnoticed. She made it clear that our big day was special for Dessert Works too. And she made the process easy as could be, from intake to the final call to confirm the guest count.

We were super excited for the cake tasting. Dessert Works gives you their 6 most popular flavors to sample, with the option to add flavors for a small fee. We got 8 flavors which proved more than we needed! We couldn't do the tasting at the bakery, because we were coming from out of town and were on a tight schedule, but Dessert Works made it easy to do our tasting to-go. They packaged all the cake slices into a neat box, each slice wrapped in plastic, with a container of their American and Italian buttercreams on the side. And because neither of us had time to pick it up ourselves, Dessert Works kindly let my mother-in-law pick it up for us. She reported back that the service was great.

We chose a combination of their Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Chocolate. Both have chocolate mousse, of which I am a huge fan. The mousse is delicious, but not too rich. The cake is moist, and not overly sweet. The lightness of the vanilla cake and the density of the chocolate cake provide nice balance. We had an extravaganza doing a self-led cake tasting with the matron of honor - herself a chocolate lover who affirmed that the mousse was the right choice.

From there, Dessert Works kept things moving without ever stressing us out. For the cake design, they sent us a photo gallery of past designs as inspiration. We quickly latched on to an elegant yet simple design of lotus branches with pretty red and pink flowers. We had a video call with Ashley and filled out a comprehensive questionnaire that further improved the experience. And that was all we needed to do for cake planning.

On the day of, our 3-tier cake exceeded our expectations. Delivery and setup were so seamless, we had no idea it was happening. We didn't think about the cake until we walked in for our reception, and there it was, sitting majestically atop a table. It was DEFINITELY more beautiful in person than in photos. We wish we had more time to admire it.

And how did the cake taste that day? Delicious. I had a slice of the Chocolate Mousse to end the night, and it was the best piece of chocolate cake I've had in a long time.

Oh, and that tradition of saving a slice of the cake for your anniversary? Dessert Works takes that to the next level with their "honeymoon cake," a beautifully packaged mini version of the wedding cake. It was the cherry on top.

We are thrilled with what Dessert Works gave us: A terrific cake created by terrific people. It's funny, we never got to meet any of them in person, so we'll just have to stop by the bakery in Westwood on our next trip to Beantown.

Delicious and beautiful

We tasted 3-4 cakes before finally finding Dessert Works and immediately knew our search had come to an end. All the cake flavors we tried were moist and full of flavor, staff was friendly and accommodating, and customization requests were seamlessly executed. We loved the mini version of our cake included as the anniversary cake, attention to detail was lovely. Gluten free and other allergy restrictions were handled professionally with care which was huge for us (we had multiple allergies at our wedding) and everyone was so nice! Definitely recommend!

Best Wedding Cake Ever

A month after the wedding, one of my California guests just texted me to say that she keeps telling her friends how this was the best wedding cake she's ever had. Not only was it fluffy and SO good, Dessert Works was amazing to work with. Ashley was our Cake Design Consultant and I worked with her to get the Art Deco themed cake exactly where we wanted it. I sent her several examples, she worked up some ideas, and I was able to pick something better than I could have imagined. Plus, they gave us a little mini anniversary cake replica to freeze. I plan to continue to go back to Dessert Works for any cake needs!

Stunning Cake!

We had Dessert Works provide our cake for a 150 person wedding and it was perfect! We went with something pretty simple, but it was flawless and tasted amazing. We got a lot of comments on how good the cake was from our guests. I love that they provide a separate anniversary mini-cake as well - great touch! Due to covid we did a "virtual tasting" where we picked up samples to try at home, and honestly this was amazing - gave us the chance to try the cake at home in our sweatpants with a glass of wine. Will definitely be return customers and would recommend to any couple for their wedding cake!

Elegant, Beautiful and Flavorful

Our venue (The Ritz-Carlton) outsourced the creation of our cake to Dessert Works. Ashley the cake design consultant was easy to work with and helpful. The cake itself met all expectations. The presentation was elegant and beautiful and the flavor was excellent. The picture says it all. I highly recommend and would hire again Dessert works for any future banquet.

Everyone was Talking about the Cake!!!

Dessert Works did such a fantastic job with our cake. We went to so many tastings and Dessert Works is where we stopped looking. The cakes not only look amazing, but these are some of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. I was talking to my wife about how forgettable wedding cakes are when it comes to flavor a few weeks before our wedding. After our wedding, so many guests commented on how good the cake was that I was truly surprised at the amount of comments and reactions we got. We had three flavors and the actual cake was gorgeous. I can't recommend Dessert Works enough for their flexibility as well during COVID and our many date changes. Overall, this is our new favorite cake place for all occasions.

Most Delicious Cake Ever!

We have had the good fortune of having Jacqueline as part of our family and Dessert Works cakes at so many of our special events and holidays! We could not miss the chance of sharing these amazing cakes at Devin & Laura's "East Coast Wedding & Promise Ceremony" since we have been raving about them for years! We had both a vanilla raspberry mousse decorated cake and a traditional Boston Cream "back-up" cake and every crumb was eaten. Guests said they had never had wedding cake like this before. Except of course at Jacqueline's wedding to our Adrian two years ago! We've been telling you!

Most beautiful cakes! Makes your dreams come true!

HIGHLY recommended. Dessertworks is a very professional bakery that produces high quality cakes. We worked closely with Ashley and Kristen (the owner). Both were very responsive, detailed-oriented, and nice to work with. Kristen made our dream cake into a reality – it was more beautiful than we thought it would be! We cannot thank her and her team enough for their hard work and creativity. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was also very delicious! We received many complements from our wedding guests saying, “wow, this is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted – where did you get it?” It’s true – the cake was the best I have ever tasted. And, not to spoil any surprises, but, they gift you a small cake to take home and freeze for your anniversary. Now, I was expecting a plain, small cake. Nope! This cake was so pretty! It was a small, 2-tiered cake and was decorated, too! I could not believe how cute it was – again, very professional and high quality. We actually ate it before it made it to the freezer LOL :-D We buy another cake from DessertWorks on our anniversary next year to celebrate. Please keep in mind that we worked with DessertWorks throughout covid. They were always nice and created a gorgeous cake for us, depending their stress as well. I cannot say enough about the incredible job Dessert Works did for us! This past year has been such chaotic for vendors and Dessert Works still took the time to have the most thorough consultation with us, to send us pages worth of examples (personally tailored to what we said we were looking for!), and to then execute our vision so, so perfectly, that we were in awe when we saw our cake in person. All our guests raved not only about the beauty of the cake, but just how delicious it was. It was truly the best cake I've ever had! One of the best

My family’s “go to” for every occasion. Last year when choosing a bakery for my wedding Dessert Works was an obvious choice for me. The cakes that were pictures were stunning however, I wanted a simple 1 tier cake with a variety station. Jackie was happy to accommodate my request. My questions were always readily available, emails and phone calls always returned within 24 hours, the rest of the staff always friendly, and the desserts and cake was effortlessly beautiful as well as delicious!

Beautiful Wedding Cake

We used Dessert Works for our wedding cake last year. Our venue contracted with them but we probably would have used them anyways. SO YUMMY! And a cake designer met with us for free to design a totally customized cake that was perfect for my husband and I - even inside, half raspberry cream and half cookies and cream. Like I said, YUM!

Let Us Eat Cake!

One of the best parts of the wedding, besides marrying your best friend, is getting to eat cake! Leading up to the wedding, we counted the days until we were able to go for the cake tasting. Thankfully we chose Dessert Works. Their team of dedicated and passionate employees made us feel at home, and comfortable. The most delicious wedding cake!!

OMG if you want a beautiful AND delicious cake you HAVE to go to with Dessert Works! We went to 3 different vendors before ending up at Dessert Works and they did not disappoint! They, by far, had the best tasting cake EVER. They even worked with us to create a custom flavor and design to fit our budget. Very pleased!

We hired them for our upcoming May wedding and just had our tasting/consultation last weekend. OMG were the cakes delicious. We were so impressed with the fact they took a picture of the design I wanted and were confident they could replicate it and still add the personal details I wanted, like matching the colors of the flowers exactly to the dresses we chose just by using swatches! We are very excited to see what they come up with and we are confident it will be nothing less than perfect!

Blew away my expectations!!!!

I'm the girl that dreamed of my wedding cake. I wanted it to be big, delicious, gorgeous, and a center piece of the wedding. I was recommended dessertworks by my venue (Endicott Estate). My experience with the bakery exceeded every expectation I ever had! They brought to life the cake of my dreams after just a few discussions and disjointed photos. They worked with their own vendors to procure the exotic fruit decorations and were able to use this unique decoration masterfully. I cannot recommend the dessertworks team enough!!

Perfect Wedding Cake

We chose Dessert Works to bake our wedding cake after an online search. Their website showed a vast array of gorgeous cakes and offered endless options of flavor combinations and decoration. We then met with Jacqueline for a beautifully arranged tasting and selected a mini 3-tier - vanilla layers with chocolate mousse filling and Italian meringue frosting, decorated to our specs. The cake arrived on time on our big day and met our every expectation. It was truly beautiful and absolutely delicious!

Great Wedding Cake!

We used Dessert Works for our wedding on 6.15.19 and they were so helpful and courteous! The tasting was so much fun, they have a wide variety of cakes and flavors to select. We also needed some allergy friendly treats and selected the gluten free/dairy free cupcakes which were a hit. Great price for fantastic service and as a keepsake you'll receive a miniature version of your cake! Such a cute idea. I would use Dessert Works again for future functions.

We tasted lots of cakes from small boutique to big commercial bakeries and by far Dessert Works met and exceed our expectations. First impressions make a difference and words cannot describe what a wonderful experience it was to have enlisted Dessert Works! Here are a few highlights:

- Communication: From the start it was superb - Jacqueline you were phenomenal to work with.
- Tasting: Provided us with lots of options, while allowing us to zero in on what we specifically liked: Lemon with Raspberry preserve and Marble Chocolate cake with Vanilla Mousse each with an Italian Meringue Buttercream - absolutely delicious & ultimately what we selected.
- Value: reasonable prices for wedding cakes, option to have gluten free cupcakes for guests with allergy restrictions (which were VERY appreciated by our gluten-free guests!)
- Decor & Style: Nailed the simple elegant style I had desired.
- Outcome: The delivery of the final product was beautiful, tasteful and left our guests giving lots of compliments. Many shared that it was the best cake they had had at a wedding (it was also the best wedding cake the bride and groom had ever too).
- It's the little things that make a difference: The miniature version of our wedding cake to freeze and enjoy on our 1 year anniversary was touching.

We’ve already been back and Dessert Works is definitely on our family and friends list and we look forward to continue to order cakes for future life milestones.

Sweet but not too sweet

Dessert Works in Westwood is the best!!!! I have ordered many cakes from them especially the most recent for my daughter's wedding. They are sweet enough but not too sweet. They do beautiful, creative work and are very helpful offering suggestions and ideas. I recommend Dessert Works for your next party or event. They are the best!

Absolutely delicious

We worked with Jacqueline who was super receptive and nice. Starting from the cake tasting OMG too many flavors to choose from that we decided to do 2 flavors cake.
Last minute we decided to just to one flavor and Jacqueline was very kind to let us do so and all our guests enjoyed very much. The cake looked the way we wanted and it tasted super delicious.

The best wedding cake I've ever had!

I am a cake snob. It's by far my favorite food, so I could not be more picky or particular. This was the best wedding cake (and cake in general) that I've ever had!!! We had a 3 tiered cake of strawberries and cream (unreal), lemon raspberry (there were no leftover slices), and Boston cream (I don't even like Boston cream pie and this was my favorite flavor). We also had a separate carrot cake that was completely gone by the end of the night. I recommend them to anyone and everyone! The tasting was also the best experience. So happy we chose them!!!

All I can say is AMAZING

We had our wedding at the Ritz Carlton and they supplied our cake through Dessert Works. All I can say is AMAZING. I spent about five minutes on the phone explaining what I was looking for. Our caked turned out to be everything I had imagined and then some. It was such a relief to have everything go as planned after such a simple and worry-free process. We were even given a mini keepsake version of our cake displayed in a clear box. We have it in the freezer along with the top of our cake to eat at our one year anniversary :) I highly recommend Dessert Works!! We would use them again in heartbeat :)

Beautiful Wedding Cake!

Best of the best

Dessert works is the best. I had another bakery booked and one of my bridesmaids knew about them and had a red velvet cake for my bridal shower and it was so delicious that I cancelled my current bakery and booked with them. If that’s not enough - I threw a birthday party for my mom a month later so I could have the cake again. It’s an addiction. So the cake is definitely delicious but on top of that I sent a Pinterest picture of a cake with all kinds of rope embellishment which they had not done before. They spent what seems like a lot of time figuring out the perfect way to master the rope look and reassured me that they could do it.... and wow were they right is all I can say. It looked better than the picture. Book dessert works before they run out of cake because I can’t stop eating it.

DessertWorks really came through. Not only was the cake so delicious that people had more than one slice, but it was so beautiful that I was told several times that it was the most beautiful wedding cake people had seen. Absolutely DELICIOUS cake. They were so flexible with us regarding our cake and catering options. We chose the buttercream frosting and the carrot cake and there was not one piece left over at the end of the night. My husband and I got married at Saphire Estate and were told about Dessert Works through them. We were definitely grateful that we found them! Seamless process. We met with Jacqueline and she had everything covered. I didn't need to worry about the cake/cupcakes at all throughout the wedding planning process. I dropped off a swatch once the bridesmaid dresses were picked out and they matched the swatch for me so everything coordinated. I LOVED working with Dessert Works for my wedding cake. Jacqueline and the rest of the staff were very timely with their responses and crystal clear about what I could purchase with my wedding package. Also, they frequently checked in with me about what I needed and what I ordered. Not to mention that they easily helped me get both a regular wedding cake and my very own dairy-free wedding cake. Dessert Works gave me a delicious wedding cake that I could eat even though I had an allergy. Additionally, my fiance thought all of the sample cakes were delicious at the tasting. Jacqueline was an artist and so patient and professional. Our wedding at the Lenox Hotel included a cake by Dessert Works and I am so glad that it did!! My now husband and I came into their shop with literally no idea of what we wanted in terms of design or style. She very patiently walked us through options and designs never once making us feel inept or rushed. Taste everything and come hungry! We chose a Dulce de Leche flavor cake (amazing!) with an Italian buttercream. She followed up before the wedding and confirmed delivery. She had worked with our florist before and talked with them about adding a few fresh flowers to the cake and it turned out beautifully. We can't wait to dive into the mini-cake (a model replica of yours!) on our anniversary!! Though I don't know if it will last that long! Thank you, Jacqueline!

Jacqueline Melton of Dessert Works created our dream wedding cake! Arriving at our cake tasting appointment with nothing more than a few photos of Pinterest wedding cakes, Jacqueline walked my husband and I through the design of our perfect wedding cake. She is extremely creative and was able to integrate many details within our three-tier cake.

Our guests are still raving about our delicious wedding cake! My husband and I selected two flavors for our cake: chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and vanilla cake with raspberry mousse topped with Italian buttercream frosting – yum! We are already looking forward to enjoying this cake again on our anniversary!

Working with Dessert Works was one of the most enjoyable parts of wedding planning. The cake is delicious and the quality is top-notch! We highly recommend Dessert Works!

Dessert Works provided an extremely delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding day. Our guests raved about it -- my father (who is in his words "not a cake person") has not been able to stop talking about how good it was for weeks.

Truth be told, I cared more about how it looked, and on that front they did great as well. The cake was exactly what I pictured, and they did a great job placing the fresh flowers I bought at Whole Foods.

Dessert Works was recommended to me by a friend who had also ordered his wedding cake through the bakery. I was planning a wedding from across the country and they were incredibly accommodating in working with us to schedule tastings when we were in town. I chose one of the cakes they had in their portfolio,and Dessert Works worked with me to help modify the cake to match the colors and decor of my wedding. We booked dessert works through our wedding venue- the Lenox Hotel in Boston, Ma. This process could not have been any easier. Jackie was incredible! She had so much for us to choose from with books of pictures and displays and was so incredibly willing to work with us and negotiate our best options. We had a tasting included in our package which we were so incredibly happy with and it gave us so much confidence for the big day. The cake was absolutely beautiful on our big day and exactly was how it was described on paper. We completely forgot our cake topper, but it didn't matter because the cake was so beautiful on it's own. The cake was also super delicious and this is a new favorite bakery of my family! They do not use fondant which makes a huge difference. We got a mini cake in a freezer proof box which is so much easier/nicer than the cake topper. It's literally fool proof and its a replica of your actual wedding cake which is amazing. I cannot say enough about this place except thank you and 5/5 stars!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dessert Works! For our wedding we had a 5-tier cake with alternating flavors of vanilla/chocolate and strawberry shortcake. The cake was delicious-extremely light and fresh, and the frosting was phenomenal. Jacqueline helped me design my dream cake based on some of her previous work and on my Pinterest ideas. She truly read my mind. After selecting the cake, I didn't have to worry about one detail. Dessert Works made sure that the cake was delivered to the venue on time. They also coordinated with my florist who provided real flowers to put on the cake. I also ordered a groom's cake for my husband for our rehearsal dinner. I had no idea what I was looking at in terms of budget for a groom's cake. I told Jacqueline my budget and she created a beautiful cake with a firefighter emblem that my husband loved. She stayed within my budget and gave me ideas about what type of cake would work best for feeding the number of people that we were feeding. I was extremely pleased with my experience with DessertWorks, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I have been getting cakes from Dessert Works since they were still in Norwood before they moved Westwood. When it came time to get a wedding cake we knew for sure we would go with Dessert Works because of the quality and flavors. We worked with Jacqueline to get the right flavor/design and it came out fantastic. Not only did we meet her in person we also e-mailed her and called her various times and she was always responsive and willing to listen to my ideas. We had a superhero cake for our wedding and it looked amazing. Everyone at the wedding asked us where we got the cake and how we came up with the design. We had a picture of a superhero cake, but it was DC and we wanted Marvel, so Jacqueline sketched out a design for us and it came out perfect.

As someone who loves baking, I was skeptical about finding a cake I would enjoy, especially having had disappointing cakes at other weddings. Our cake from Dessert Works surpassed all expectations and was absolutely delicious. Jacqueline was wonderful to work with; she was responsive and attentive to all of my requests regarding the design of the cake. Our guests kept telling us how cute the cake was. We chose the Boston Cream pie flavor, which was light enough to not be overbearing, but rich enough that one felt amply satisfied. I wish I had another slice to eat right now!

We had a cake tasting somewhere else before our consultation and tasting at Dessert Works. The cakes here blew the others away! It was difficult for us to make a decision about flavors because all of the cakes we tasted were so delicious. We ended up settling on a Boston Cream Pie cake for our wedding. The cake looked beautiful - exactly what we had asked for! We heard from many wedding guests that our wedding cake was the BEST they’ve ever had. We can’t thank Dessert Works and Jacqueline enough! Dessert Works provided our wedding cake as part of our package with the Lenox Hotel. It was by far the most delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted. We served their strawberries/cream and tuxedo torte flavors, both were rich and moist cakes - no gross old dry cake here! The tasting was easy and fun, Jacqueline is sweet and organized, honestly the whole process was perfect. Many guests told me it was the best cake they'd had at a wedding and they wished they'd known about Dessert Works when they got married.

We had our tasting and consultation yesterday and it was amazing! The flavors we tried were Chocolate Marble, Chocolate Cappuccino Torte and Dolce de Leche and they were great!!! We chose the Chocolate Marble and the Chocolate Cappuccino Torte for our cake. I went in with a picture of what i was looking for and Jacqueline was extremely accommodating and helpful. She helped us to decide on a cake topper or not, colors and where to put the colors and was very honest about everything. It was a pleasure to work with Jackie, the head baker at Dessert works. She was extremely flexible and accommodating with both mine and my finance's indecisiveness when it came to cupcakes vs. cake, flavors and design, and the whole nine yards. She was prompt with responding to any emails that I sent regarding questions and sent back helpful advice and directed me to some examples on the bakery website. I also was happy that she was proactive to check on details as the wedding day crept closer, even though it was during the holiday season-it was nice to feel like our wedding cake was also a priority with the busy season (something I had experienced with other vendors in the past). Many complements on the cake from our guests, especially from some of my tough to please cake critics in my family!

Jacqueline is a god send to work with, our project started quite early, about 5 months before the wedding. My husband and I had visited several popular wedding cake bakeries and it was Dessert Works that had won our taste buds. Not only is their cake moist and not overwhelmingly sweet which is what we were looking for but the prices were hard to beat. It was an easy decision to go with Dessert Works after our consultation. Jacqueline is also very responsive with the amount of questions and emails I had sent her over the course of a few months and she gave always gave a response within a short amount of time. She is very detailed and organized and it made our planning with her much easier. We ended up going with fresh floral arrangements on a 2 sheets of cake and a 4 tiered cake in which the bakery has a lot of experience in placing fresh flowers as decoration, another skill that adds so much importance to the different requirements we had envisioned for our wedding cake. This bakery has quality in both the cake and design, and cost effective. The icing on the cake (no pun intended) was that they also give you a mini replica of your own wedding cake to save for your 1st year anniversary as opposed to having to save the actual topper of your wedding cake! Love this place!

It was a pleasure to work with Jacqueline at Dessert Works. She was very attentive, was always on top of schedule, and were able to work with us within short notice. The beautiful wedding cake she made for us was fabulous! We had the mini 3 tier with the ballet slipper design in burgundy ribbons and a statement pale rose pink flower, and of chocolate raspberry and chocolate cappuccino flavors. We love it, and our guests commented that this was the most delicious wedding cake that they have ever tasted. Our guests were so delighted when we gave more cakes for them to bring back. Also, the miniature wedding cake replica for anniversary celebration was so lovely, and we were absolutely thrilled!!!

THE BEST CAKE I HAVE EVER TASTED! Not only did they knock us out during the cake tasting with all the delicious flavors but they were the best priced from the other cake vendors we visited!!! We were torn between a strawberry vs a espresso flavor so they gave us both! I had numerous guests tell me how great the cake tasted.

Not only did it taste AMAZING it looked absolutely stunning! It was exactly what I was picturing and fit our theme perfectly! When I need a cake in the future there is no where else I want to go!

Oh yeah and one more final touch...Dessert Works gives you a miniature version of your cake so you and your spouse can enjoy it again on your anniversary! I don't know if I can wait that long though!

I did a lot of research before selecting this vendor for my cake - I had picked a very unique cake from pinterest that I wanted, and they made it look EXACTLY like the photo. Not only that, but the cake was SOOOO DELICIOUS! We were able to take a whole layer of the cake home and have been eating it every night since our wedding lol. The best part about this company? They make you a 'mini cake' replica of your wedding cake to take home instead of the bulky cake top to have on your 1st anniversary. Communication was professional and timely and I would recommend to any and everyone.

We LOVED our wedding cake from Dessert Works! Both of the flavors of cake we selected were delicious and huge hits with our guests. Our cake was beautiful and working on the design of the cake was easy--Jacqueline was a pleasure to work with. We even got a mini version of our take to take home for our anniversary! We definitely felt like our cake was a good value for what we received and would highly recommend Dessert Works to anyone looking for a cake.

Dessert Works created the most beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding day! We wanted a simple vanilla cream cake MADE WITH REAL BUTTER with white icing and a pink peony flourish. They created exactly what we envisioned, and there was nothing left of the cake by the end of the wedding (even with all of the cupcakes we had to accompany it). I have been to many weddings where the cake/desserts are, well, deserted. They are fine but not good enough for people at that point in the night or celebration to want to genuinely consume. Well, it was 8:00 and well into our reception, and EVERYONE wanted a piece of our cake. We had to fend off some of friends who snuck in some of the top that we, of course, wanted to save for our anniversary. IT WAS THAT GOOD. People came up to me and my mom RAVING. They loved it. It was moist, decadent, and simply delicious. Dessert Works KNOWS what they are doing. I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I were beyond thrilled when we saw the final masterpiece on our wedding day! We had an enjoyable time working with the staff at Dessert Works from our tasting to our confirmation and all of the little details in between. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the choices we made. The staff worked with my wedding coordinator and everything was perfect!

We looked at a number of places for our wedding cake, and nobody came even close to Dessert Works - 5 star quality at a 2 star price! From our first consultation until the day of our wedding, Jacqueline was super helpful and responsive, even scheduling an additional tasting for us. Tons of folks told us how beautiful and delicious our cake was - something we were blown away by! On top of all that, they even left us a honeymoon cake for us to eat afterwards. One of the best decisions we made around our wedding!

They were great to work with! not to mention their cake was AMAZING (taste and appearance). They were so nice to work with, they were flexible to meet with and accommodating when my wedding venue changed last minute! The cake was so good! all my guest raved about it, it was light, not to sweet and looked so elegant. One of the best parts about them is that they make you a miniature version of your cake and put it in a freezer box so you can keep it for your first anniversary. I highly recommended them they were great all around.

We used Dessert Works for our wedding last month, and we absolutely loved the cupcake tower they created for us! Jacqueline deserves a huge shout out, as she managed to answer all of my MANY questions, without ever causing me to feel like the annoying pest I was. She worked within our budget, and completely delivered on every little detail I'd requested. They transformed cupcakes into a beautiful and elegant work of delicious art. Several guests have commented on how much they enjoyed the cupcakes, and asked for the name of the bakery we used. You might need to hire more people if our guests start getting engaged soon!! We should preface this review by saying that we prefer sweeter cakes and frosting vs buttercream. We did our cake tasting at Dessert Works and the cake was good but it did not blow us away. However, we loved how their cakes looked and decided to have Dessert Works do our wedding cake.

At first sight on our wedding day, the cake was incredible. They designed all the details we had requested flawlessly. The cake looked perfect. When we tried our cake that night we were amazed at how good it was.

We walked around to all guests during dessert and the feedback was unanimous: "this is the most delicious wedding cake!"

We are both glad we did not let the the tasting experience turn us away. Our cake was designed exactly as we requested and it was delicious. In fact, we are already planning to get a smaller version of the cake again for an anniversary. We highly recommend Dessert Works.

I love cake, and come from a family that loves cake and is very particular about cake and frosting. So when I had to find a bakery for my wedding cake, the stakes were pretty high. My family adores Party Favors in Brookline, and I love them as well, but I wanted something a little higher end. Dessert Works was on the list of recommended vendors for our venue, so we checked them out and loved them.

Jacqueline made us a custom-made spice cake with American buttercream frosting (which isn't the fancy, "good" buttercream, but my family really loves sugary frosting, so it was amazing). It was absolutely phenomenal; easily one of the best cakes I've ever had. My family members kept coming up to the sweetheart table during dessert to gush about how awesome the cake was.

We ended up having an entire tier to take home with us, which we ate over the course of a week. It was delicious.

Dessert Works was definitely on the pricier end of the bakeries we looked at, but the delicious cake was worth every penny.

Best cake ever!!!!!!! Dessert Works was incredible. We worked specifically with Jacqueline, and she was wonderful. Our wedding cake was soooooooo delicious and the design was gorgeous. I ordered a grooms cake for the hubby and they nailed it. It was a Ferrari logo cake with his initials on it - amazing. If I could attach pictures, I would in a heartbeat. He absolutely LOVED it, actually, everyone did. My guests raved about how delicious the cakes were, and how they wished they could've had more. Can't wait to order my next cakes!!!!!!!!!

I was specifically looking for a vegan wedding cake as the groom is egg sensitive. Dessert Works made us the most delicious chocolate vegan cake with butter cream icing! It looked beautiful and our guests raved about it. What made the process even easier was I could taste the cake at home: they make vegan cupcakes with the icing (just like the wedding cake) and sell them in their store. I brought home two cupcakes and that was it. Sold! From the very beginning, they were so professional and made me feel relaxed about the process. They make wonderful non-vegan cakes, no wonder they received the award "Best of Boston 2014"!

My (now) husband and I were extremely happy with our wedding cake and Dessert Works overall. The cake was beautifully crafted, and on top of that it was absolutely delicious!! We worked with Jacqueline at Dessertworks and it was awesome! She was very receptive to our ideas and very helpful with everything that we needed. Our initial meeting we had decided on one type of cake and then a few months later I completely changed my mind about what I wanted the cake to look like and she was able to help us with that. She was also able to help me with a grooms cake that I wanted to surprise my husband with. Both cakes came out amazing. The wedding cake was exactly what I had dreamed about and wanted, it exceeded my expectations completely! I was also extremely happy with how the grooms cake came out as well. All of the cakes TASTED AMAZING to top everything off. I would definitely recommend Dessertworks and would definitely make the 40 minute trip for any other occasion cake as well. They are so worth it.

Easy choice. BEST. CAKE. EVER. A self-professed wedding cake snob at our wedding declared it the best he's ever had. The groom and I don't even like cake and LOVED it! Jacqueline was easy to work with- she made the process so simple! The value was amazing- we fed everyone and had TONS leftover and didn't even order enough to feed all our guests. You know what that means? More cake for us! :P

Have to rave about the wonderful staff and talent at DessertWorks. I was referred to them a few months before my wedding for our cake. We made a wonderful decision in choosing Dessert Works for our wedding cake. The skill level of Kristen and her team was beyond high enough for what we wanted. The experience from a customer service standpoint was perfect – we had a very specific design in mind and they were able to talk us through our different options and priced them all out for us. In the end, the final product both looked and tasted incredible and we could not have been happier with the result! And I must mention the wonderful bakery itself – we couldn’t help but sample some other treats while we were there for our meetings, and they were all delicious!

These guys did an outstanding job!! Kristen helped me revamp an already place order when I realized that we would be having close an additional 20 guests. She brilliantly executed the new plan which I loved better than the original. We have over the past year ordered a few cakes from these folks..birthdays, showers etc.. They do not disappoint. They have some of the best cake I have ever tasted and my now husband who does not care overly much for cake raves about theirs. They created a special flavor for us, crème brulee, that was exceptional. Their attention to detail throughout the process was also truly impressive. They were a joy to work with and everything went as was planned and turned out better than expected. They made for us a trio of cakes for 4 dining rooms and a vendor cake as well as a huge cake to cut. All of them were rustic vintage looking with single elegant sugar flower on each. Our larger cake was beautiful ruffles kissed with scattered ladybugs and lotus blossoms. I loved my cakes.Hire them QUICK!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious! A lot of cakes tend to be way too sweet and sugary for us, but we found these to not only look beautiful, but taste amazing as well. Dessert Works was very professional and communicated with us very well. Highly recommend!

Dessert Works has delicious, beautifully decorated cakes. I did my due diligence and visited several bakeries in the Boston area, and this one had the best designed and best tasting cakes for a great price. When I came in for the cake tasting with my mom and fiancé, Kristen was thorough when we talked through our wedding details and numerous cake options. I worked with Jacqueline to finalize the design. She was very knowledgeable and worked to accommodate me on the weekends since I was an out of town bride. The end result was beautiful and delicious, and some guests even thought the top was fake since it was so perfectly decorated. We had no leftovers since everyone loved it, and the added bonus is the fact that they give you a mini version of your wedding cake in a protective freezer case to eat on your one year anniversary. I'd highly recommend Dessert Works to make your wedding cake!

Dessert Works was part of the vendors that my venue works with. I got married at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood.

Dessert Works in my opinion stands up to any professional bakery. Very knowledgable staff and very professional as well. I got my cupcakes, small wedding cake to cut and wedding favors through them (short bread cookies with frosting). AMAZING!

I love this bakery so much that now I go just to stop in and buy something for myself or for any family event. You will not be disappointed! My favorite thing about this bakery is that everything is sweet but not too sweet... it's just right! :)

Our wedding cake was included in our package with the Franklin Country Club so we didn't really know what to expect. But WOW. Not only was our cake gorgeous in everyday but it was also delicious. Dessert works took our ideas and turned them into our dream cake. Thank you so much for making this experience so easy and stress free.

If your looking for a cake that looks stunning but tastes even better, Dessert Works is the best! Our wedding cake was outstanding! We had the lemon citrus cake, which was absolutely delicious! It was moist and absolutely flavorful! My guests called the next day asking if there was any left! AmaZing!

Dessert Works makes the best cakes! They really worked with our budget and were able to still make the cake we dreamed of. We had two different flavors and everyone raved about how delicious it was. I couldn't have been happier!
