We had the best experience with the Opal. The service was OUTSTANDING. The food was so delicious and the planner, Katy, was unreal. She was so calm and helpful during the whole process. It was my favorite day and planning was so easy with them.

The most perfect wedding

First of all, the service you experience with Ana Gonzalez at the head of your event coordination is phenomenal. She is always quick to respond. Second, the food & drink at the resort is unmatched - which is at the TOP of my list when hosting an event as important as your wedding. Third, the staff is so professional and kind to your guests. Our bartender, Robin, was the coolest, most fun and perfect person for the job. I have zero complaints about hosting my wedding at the Opal Grand in Delray Beach. 12/10 recommend!!

Luxury and high class with EXCEPTIONAL service in every regard!

I had my wedding at the Opal Grand on Saturday, October 21, 2023 and I do not have enough space here to write all the details of how absolutely phenomenal it was. The food was outrageous, filet cooked to perfection with colossal grilled shrimp. Cocktail hour had more food and drinks than I have ever seen at any other wedding. The outside ceremony was breathtaking and Kelly, the wedding coordinator for the Opal was behind me fixing my dress as I walked down the aisle. The reception all was so beautiful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and everything was done to perfect. And I cannot forget to mention the relaxing day after at the pool. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding but also for dinner at Driftwood, or Pina coladas by the pool on a Sunday. Kelly and Gianna were amazing throughout the entire process. I’ve been to weddings at the Ritz and other very fancy venues and the Opal blows every other venue out of the water. THANK YOU for making my wedding the absolute BEST.

It made my whole trip unforgettable!

If you are planning to have wedding here, you will not regret it. Not only are all the employees friendly and amazing, so were the owners. They booked us the best villa for an amazing price, helped us pick the most AMAZING VENDORS! I honestly wish I could have stayed friends with them all. Because of how great they did with my wedding and guests, we have decided to make this our vacation spot forever. Thank you Opal, for giving me the best memories ever. Fantastic Wedding Venue!

My husband and I had our destination wedding at the Opal Grand in March and our experience was wonderful. The space is beautiful, newly-renovated and conveniently located next to the beach and action on Atlantic Ave. The staff was professional and their execution was smooth and seamless. Highly recommend working with Ana as your event manager - she was friendly, communicative and went above and beyond to fulfill all of our wedding requests. If you are an out of town bride, you are in good hands with the Opal!

Wedding at Delray Beach Marriott

Everything about this venue was amazing! All of the staff we worked with were extremely professional and more than willing to accommodate our requests. Our event manager, Brittnee, was amazing to work with and is very good at her job. She is patient, informative, and always had a positive attitude! The food was great, and the entire day was seamless. So glad I chose to get married at the Delray Beach Marriott!

High end wedding AND a great value

Magazine worthy wedding held here on June 14th, 2019! We held our wedding here with 122 guests, 39 musicians and 17 support staff on a Friday evening. Because we are Catholic, the ceremony was held at the nearby Ascension Catholic Church followed by a black tie reception opening up all of the largest ballrooms to accommodate the 9 piece band and lounge furniture. As soon as we had our first meeting with the on-site wedding planner Brittnee McGrath, we knew we had found THE place. Although we live in Delray Beach, it was a destination for many of our guests so the appeal of the ocean front and resort atmosphere made it an easy decision for our guests coming from Boston, Chicago, and Arizona. She is beyond professional and had a sensible answer for my many questions. She explained how a duet plate makes it easier on the bride and groom (we also had an excellent outside wedding planner as well before we had even met Brittnee, but she made herself available for everything having to do with the hotel it might not even have been necessary). Also, the catering staff was surprisingly accommodating. My husband and I are huge foodies and they allowed us to forgo salad (boring) and I provided them with a vichyssoise recipe comprised of a chilled cucumber, melon and mint soup- perfect for a warm June day. Additionally, since we had an evening of open bar, they permitted me to also provide a beautiful "mocktail" recipe of lavender lemonade that complemented our color scheme so that our guests could have something non-alcoholic and refreshing before a night of food, dancing, and libations. We also opted for the guacamole station before the white glove plated dinner and 3 months after the wedding, I am STILL receiving complements about how outstanding all the food was. I thought that since it was a Marriott and we were using a few vendors not on their suggested list that we would be penalized, when in fact we simply had to provide the requisite insurance certificates. Brittnee's experience also aided us in making great economical choices as far as the floral selections went. With such a big space, she suggested alternating high and low floral arrangements to add grandeur and volume to the space. Perhaps the best part of the entire experience is the grand tasting where you can see, taste, and take part in a mock wedding. This is not tot bee missed and really helps you nail down your food selection choices. Another element to our wedding included a flag ceremony (it was Flag day and my father is a deceased veteran) and Brittnee and the VFW along with the American Legion Post did a 4 gun salute and folded up the flag and presented it to me and gave the blank shells to my husband. They had to clear it with the police and post a notice in all the elevators as well as notify other hotel guests via a notice under their doors. If that wasn't going beyond the call, I don't know what is. My 1 and only complaint was that the catering staff cut the cake slices too big and we wished there was more. Needless to say the wedding surpassed expectations as well as the hotel and the entire staff.

Amazing Customer Service - and FOOD!

I can't say enough about the staff here. From the valet, bellmen, front desk staff, wedding planning team wait staff and chef. How do you prepare 154 beef short ribs AND fresh market fish and still get served hot...all of it!! Problems pop up, they were on it. Upset bride because of the room she is in - all over it. An amazing group of professionals.

Our reception at the Delray Beach Marriott was beautiful. Brittnee was our wedding coordinator and was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. I couldn’t have asked for a more magical day!

Brittnee, and the entire staff at the Delray Beach Marriott, were amazing. It was a pleasure to work with Brittnee, and her attention to detail could not possibly be surpassed. I hope I get another chance to work with her again one day. She helped make our affair a most memorable night. (And the food was excellent.)

Delray Beach Marriott gave my husband and I the wedding of a lifetime! Everything from planning to the actually reception party has been so easy and professional. The hotel is gorgeous and the even coordinator, Brittnee McGrath, made planning and organizing so easy for us! She did an astounding job in communicating with me, which was difficult as it is because I live in Georgia and had to plan long distance. I was only able to visit the venue two or three times the year I was planning and Brittnee really worked with me in between visits to make planning this important event so much less stressful. Brittnee was so patient and informative whenever I was unsure or needed advice. The week/day of we had some issues with guests reservations for those guests who booked through different means or didn’t use our wedding code, and Brittnee made sure every one of our guest was included. During the wedding, the catering staff was so kind and helpful. If there was anything we needed they were on top of it and ready to go. Everyone was extremely professional and the overall set-up and execution was phenomenal. I heard from some guests that the cocktail hour rooms were a little hot, but I’m sure if someone had said something they would have been able to fix it. I had previously heard amazing things about Delray Beach Marriott and I’m happy to say I will add my own incredibly impressed and thankful thoughts and praise to the mix. Our wedding was so beautiful and I had a great time planning it and partying during it thanks to the amazing staff at Delray Beach Marriott.

We got married at the Marriott October 21st and it could not have been a more perfect event for our wedding. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a wedding near the beach with an old Florida vibe. Our event manager Sarah Hodges was amazing. The food and white glove service the night of the event was top notch. Overall an amazing weekend for us and our guests. People are still telling me how wonderful everything was. 5 stars all around.

This was a wonderful hotel block, especially for our non-Floridian guests. It gave them great access to the beach and was still convenient for all our wedding events!

We cannot speak highly enough of The Delray Beach Marriott and its' staff, especially Brittnee Monti. This was only the second (and last) venue we visited because we knew we had found the best location right away. Brittnee was extremely responsive throughout our 16 month planning period, almost always responding to e-mails within an hour. She and the rest of the staff at The Delray Beach Marriott were always so friendly, professional, and accommodating (especially for the Kosher meals we requested). Everything ran smoothly the weekend of our wedding, and we received so many compliments regarding the beauty and elegance of the venue. My bridal party and I got ready in the Island Breeze Suite, staff members escorted us around the hotel anywhere we wanted pictures, and they even transformed our centerpieces for the Farewell Brunch we had at the hotel the next day. Best venue ever!!

The Delray Beach Marriott made my wedding dreams come true. Everything was perfect in everyday. The staff was helpful, the food was perfect and with the beach across the street our Photographer Alfredo owner of Couture Bridal Photography (www.CoutureBridalPhotography.com) was able to capture beautiful images inside the hotel and on the beach, even at night. Our Floral Designer and Event decorator Jorge of Dream Occasions Studio (www.DreamOccasionsetc.com) made my reception and ceremony everything I ever dreamed and imagines. I totally recommend the Delray Beach Marriott, Couture Bridal Photography and Dream Occasions Studio.

Talk about knowing how to throw a party!! From the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch, this venue was incredible! The entire staff, (but most especially, my coordinator, Sonja Reid) really made things perfect for us. Everything went off without a hitch. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. I highly, highly, recommend this venue for any special event you may have!

The most stunning and beautiful location to have your wedding. I could not have imagined the day to be more perfect than it was. The food was amazing and the ceremony and reception rooms are gorgeous. Would definitely recommend this venue and working with Sonja Reid to anyone!!!!

Brittnee Monti was great and went above and beyond to make my wedding day beautiful and stress-free. I planned my wedding from out of state and she was always very responsive to my emails and phone calls with my constant questions and changes. If there were any issues with the wedding day, she ensured that they were quickly rectified. I highly recommend Brittnee and this venue.

Angie and the staff at the Delray Beach Marriott were very professional and friendly. They made planning a destination wedding from Texas less stressful and enjoyable. The venue was perfect for a small, elegant reception nearby the beach. It was very memorable and we were very happy overall!

Not only is the Delray Beach Marriott a stunningly beautiful hotel, but the people who work there are what makes it so special. My wedding was an absolute dream thanks to the catering director, Angie, and her incredible team at the Marriott!

I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat to anyone planning a wedding or any event.

Angie Smythe is amazing. She is not only great at what she does she is just an amazing woman. Warm, caring, impeccable w detail. I never doubted my wedding would be anything but perfect in her hands. Delray Beach Marriott was the perfect location for my son's Wedding Angie helped with every detail because of her the day was extra special every staff member was helpful and polite my guests were impressed both with the resort and the service we received the whole weekend

I HIGHLY recommend getting married at the Delray Beach Marriott. I had my ceremony and reception there and everything was flawless and gorgeous. Angie Smythe is a dream to work with. She made my entire year so easy and seamless because she is so on top of everything. She is also the nicest person to work with too! If you are going to get married there- work with Angie. She is the BEST.

We were completely satisfied with the Delray Beach Marriott as the venue for our daughters wedding in May. It was an amazing and elegant affair and our family and friends have still not stopped raving about it. I have already recommended the Delray Marriott to friends who are having events/ getting married! Tami was an amazing/ extremely professional planner who was on top of her game. I was debating between this venue and another and I choose the Marriott basically because of Tami. I knew she would be easy to work with and extremely efficient and I was right!! The entire day went off without a hitch. I also have many friends who were married there and had the same experience. Beautiful venue, amazing planners, and a great time! The recommended vendor dj, LIquid Dj's, was also great! My guests were jammin' out all night long!! I got many comments from guest stating how gorgeous the hotel was and what a great time they had!!

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Delray Beach Marriott! Tami, our Marriott event coordinator, really took the time to get to know us and she went above and beyond to get us everything we wanted for our special day. Guests at our wedding were amazed at the variety and quality of food served, as well as the professionalism of the waitstaff. The ballroom is spacious yet the hotel is quaint enough that you feel like the only people there. Recently, we stayed at the hotel to celebrate our one year anniversary. We ran into Tami in the lobby. I'm sure she has coordinated tons of weddings, but even a year later she remembered us and stopped over to chat. She was thrilled to see that my husband and I were expecting. When we arrived back in our room after dinner, a bellhop brought a gift basket to our room. We couldn't imagine who would've sent it. Sure enough, it was from Tami and it was filled with lots of gifts for our little boy. I truly feel that there is no other hotel that offers the personalized service that the Delray Beach Marriott does. We are forever grateful to Tami for making our special day, and all of our visits, absolutely wonderful.

It was so delightful to work with Tami and the Delray Beach Marriott Staff. Everything went better than expected from the first time we visited through the morning after our wedding. I did not have to worry about anything that was being done at the venue, Tami took care of it all!

Tami was amazing to work with. She listened to all of our concers and helped us in any and every way possible to make our day special. The hotel was beautiful and all staff were very professional. My wife and I came back to stay the night of our 1st anniversary and again had an amazing time and we were so delighted to run into Tami. Thank you so much!

Working with Tami was excellent. She's very professional and caring! She made my experience wonderful, and non stessful. She is on top of her game and extremely organized! The day of the wedding she was by your side at the moments she needed to be and everything went smooth and was on time. She also went out of her way to get me flip flops because my feet was hurting. Anything that I needed she had. I would recommend Tami and Marriott to anyone!

Such a beautiful and intimate setting for a wedding reception! The service staff is extremely helpful and professional. Guests told us it was the best wedding food they ever had! (We selected the interactive stations option.) The hotel is so gorgeous that we were able to take the majority of our photos on site.

Everything about the Delray Beach Marriot is first class. We had such a great wedding coordinator supplied by the hotel, Jill Kennerson, and she was our point of contact for the whole thing. She made us feel so comfortable with her positive attitude and professionalism. I really can't think of one thing that went wrong the whole night. We were ahead of schedule for everything all becasue the staff at the hotel were so on top of everything. We had the ceremony in the courtyard, which was such a beautiful setting. Our Reception was in one of the ballroom and it was perfect. We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding there!

ANGIE IS THE BEST! I was very happy with the way my wedding turned out. I had an event planner that had to rent linens, ice luge, chocolate fountain. These things should be included by the venue--or at least I think so. Other than that they were very acommodating. We have a lot of out of town guests.

My husband and I had the best destination wedding at the DBM. Angie Smythe and the whole hotel crew were so polite to my rambunctious, ready to party group of 170 guests. The scenery is breathtaking, beach access was perfect, the honeymoon suite was phenomenal. I'm so happy we chose the Delray Beach Marriott.

I can not say enough about how amazing the Delray Beach Marriott was for our May 22nd wedding. The hotel was just beautiful and the location was perfect for all of our out of town guests to relax by the pool, beach or walk around Atlantic Ave. Our ceremony was out by the pool south and was just perfect. The weather held up and the cars and pedestrians from the street were not as bad as we thought they would be. Our reception was everything we could have ever wanted. The ballroom looked amazing, and the food was spectacular. We are still getting phone calls from guests raving about the food, especially the shrimp! Angie was our event coordinator and I am so happy we were able to work with her. She was professional, efficient and all around great! She helped make our day that much more special and personalized. We are so happy to have had our wedding here - it was just perfect!

My wedding was perfect! This hotel is such a beautiful hotel. We had the ceremony and reception here and I highly recommend it. The staff was so friendly and willing to help in anyway. My wedding planner works at the hotel and she helped me with everything. She knew where to get the best flowers, cake, music, etc to make our day so special. We had the brunch for the reception and the food was outstanding. All my guests commented on how great the food was. Angie really did a great job in helping me create my special day. I am very thankful she was there to help me.

The Delray Beach Marriott was a fabulous venue for my wedding in October! I could not have asked for a better wedding day and it was truly because of the efforts of Angie and the staff at the Marriott.

Our wedding reception was incredible and every guest commented that this was the most amazing wedding they had been to. The food was delicious and our ballroom just looked spectacular.

The entire weekend we were treated so well by all of the staff at the Marriott. Especially the bell staff, who helped with everything from our luggage to gift bag delivery - they assisted with anything we needed and were always at our beckon call.

Most of all, though, Angie, made our day absolutely perfect! She was so tremendous to work with - I feel so lucky that she ended up being our wedding coordinator. I was planning the wedding from out of town, but I never once worried about anything because Angie took care of all of the details and coordinated with each of our vendors. She was so responsive and accommodating. We needed extra guest rooms in our room block and she was on top of it. In addition, she worked with us to customize the menu a bit to make it perfect for us.

She would always make time for us and made us feel like our wedding was the only event she was working on. We would often come into town to show family/friends our wedding venue and Angie was always willing to meet with us, even when she had another wedding (or two!) going on that day. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel special. She is so professional, yet so easy to work with and makes you feel extremely comfortable, like you are planning your big day with a good friend!

I would highly recommend the Delray Beach Marriott, as well as Angie, to anyone looking for an amazing location for your special day! It was more perfect than I could have imagined!

Highly recommend my wedding vendor- Angie Pedzich.
She was always available to meet me. gave me wonderful ideas, did a bridal expo/show at the hotel which helped me determine who I was going to use for cake, photography, videographer, music etc. Very helpful.
It saved me a lot of time and I loved planning my wedding.
All the servers were very professional and polite. Food for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception was amazing. Have many comment on how delicious the food was. Location was awesome for out of town guests. Service was impecible!.

I had my daughters wedding here Jan. 2006. The staff was very professional, food was excellent, and all in all everything was perfect. Along with the Wedding Planner that I had this event was flawless. The Marriott was the perfect venue and I would reccommend them to everyone. They worked with me on my budget and my specific needs. Very easy to work with the coordinator at the hotel. Food was more than excellent. Reception room was beautifully decorated. Everything went off without a hitch. We received many compliments on the food, service, overall experience.

I couldn't be more thrilled with our choice! It was exactly how I always pictured my wedding would be! The staff was highly attentive and very helpful throughout my planning process. I was the typical (annoying!) bride and looking back I'm sure I drove Jodi crazy, but she never showed it!!! :) The food was DELICIOUS!!!...something you hardly ever hear when a large number of people are being served! Not only did we have our ceremony there, we also had our Rehearsal Dinner, Reception and Sunday morning brunch there as well. They were also very helpful with placing our families and out of town guests in reasonably priced rooms for the weekend. My husband and I stayed in the penthouse suite on our wedding night (and I stayed in there with my bridesmaids the night before)....a little pricey, but definitely worth it and highly recommeded! Our photographer took beautiful pictures on the huge balcony with the ocean in the background.....it's also where we did our "first look" which made the moment private and romantic....absolutely perfect!!!
I would definitely recommed this hotel to anyone planning a wedding!!!!

Tami and the staff was amazing! We had our own personal waiter who kept the drinks full and was unobtrusive and very sweet. Everyone was so impressed with the quality of the food and the cake, and all-in-all, it was an amazing night. I couldn't have imagined having our wedding anywhere else.

Brittnee Monti and the event staff at the Marriott truly made our wedding incredible. We could not have asked for a better evening. The food was outrageous - every single guest raved about the duet plate and cocktail hour selections. Brittnee was extremely helpful and responsive when it came to any questions leading up to the event. I would recommend anyone looking to get married in South Florida to take a look at this property as an option. The only reason why I had to take away a star was due to the lodging portion. This had nothing to do with the event, but the front desk staff was not accommodating and was not very helpful. Being the bride and groom I was quite shocked that they were so dismissive about getting a late check out the morning after the wedding. This aside, it was a great time for everyone.

I worked with Tami Vickery to plan our wedding. Tami was very sweet and catered to all of our requests professionally and timely. She was a great liaison between us and the rest of the hotel managers, and she usually got us the responses that made us happy. It was a pleasure working with her and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic venue and coordinator for their wedding!

Amazing location to have both your ceremony and reception. Beautiful location, right on A1A across from the beach. They have many different locations on the premises whether you want an indoor wedding or outdoor. We could not be happier with the way everything turned out!!!!

Overall we were extremely happy with the services provided. Our contact person, Angie, was fantastic. Working with a large chain like the Marriott was a benefit and a drawback at times, as they were less apt to negotiate with us. Other than a few minor snafus the day of (ex: the hospitality suite was trashed from the wedding the night before) everything was amazing. It is a beautiful hotel with a plush feel for guests making an incredible setting for a wedding.

the wedding was everything we hoped for. The service was amazing and the quality of everything - rooms, food, lighting, cleanliness was top-notch. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for flexibility was because there was some difficulty/inflexibility with allowing certain vendors (insurance purposes). I also wish parking could've been comped for family members. But we got a nice upgrade and a nice bottle of champagne free of charge, so that was nice. Tami was amazing - she was quite responsive, very thorough, and very pleasant to work with. It was pricey, but totally worth it!

This was an amazing venue and had amazing staff to work with. Our guests are still talking about our wedding today! The food was delicious and the accomodations were great!

Absolutely Awful!!!!

I had booked my wedding here a year in advance and I was promised my special day would be perfect. It is now three months before my wedding and they just advised me that they're having a major renovation on the property and it will be affecting my ceremony. They claimed that they just found about the major renovation the day prior, however their GM was posting on trip advisor as early as 10/2018 that renovations would be taking place during this time. I am now in a complete panic looking for another venue. There has not even been as much as an "Im sorry" from this property. The sales team will lie to you, and continue to lie just to obtain a sale. If you're looking to get married this year or next stay away.

I booked the Delray beach Marriott for my Rehearsal dinner and was unimpressed with the level of service the hotel offered me. I hope this was an isolated incident but in case i wish that my experience does not happen to any other brides out there. Please pick another hotel!!!
