Our wedding was such a magical and perfect night thanks to Claudia & her lovely assistants at A Day To Remember! Claudia's creativity really made our wedding completely unique to our personalities and very authentic. It was the best day of our lives thanks to Claudia and her awesome staff. We truly could not have had a more perfect wedding. From the flowers, to the outdoor decor, to my beautiful flower bouquet and the gorgeous cake she made, Claudia and her staff really made our day feel like a dream. All of our friends and family were so impressed with the creativity and personality of our wedding. Claudia really piad attention to who we are and made a wedding that was truly inspired and indicative of our personalities. She is a very warm person and really made sure the wedding was "our day." We love her. :)
Warning all brides-to-be! Claudia de Velasco is a FRAUD! She is currently being sued by another bride because she took the couple's venue deposit money and did not give it to the venue. I have been forced to take legal action myself because she took my deposit (half of her fee for full service wedding planning) and ony provided lies, excuses, and delays. Her contract states the deposit is absolutely non refundable, but there is NO clause that protects you if SHE breaches the contract. A lesson I learned after the fact. When I expressed my unhappiness to Claudia about all of the extremely unprofessional behavior, she disappeared! And did not refund my money even though she did not provide the services that reside in the contract. Now, I saw a negative review from another bride where something similar happened, but A Day to Remember's overall ratings look very good so I hired them. DON'T BE FOOLED! If there is a slight chance that this might happen to you, why would you take it? Planning your wedding is supposed to be fun, and this company made it extremely stressful and expensive and just plain saddening. I cried, lost money that was not in the budget to begin with, missed out on time with my visiting out-of-town family to make up for her mistakes, etc. etc. Unfortunately, this website allows the vendor to comment on these rewiews, and Claudia is extremely good at lying, so please, just be smart and cautious about this company and trust that I am telling the truth!

In the beginning, I established some boundaries and did explain to you that Fridays are production days for us, {as we do offer more than event planning services}, so our day is limited when responding to phone and email messages. I also explained to you that Saturdays, we were not available, as we are on location for weddings, which I’m sure every couple is appreciative of having that day devoted to them only. I explained to you, as well that Sundays and Mondays are our days off, so we don’t respond to emails and/or phone calls. I'm sure any reasonable person can understand and relate to this, as I'm sure you wouldn't like to be called in/receive phone calls from your job on your day off.
When we were discussing our availability, we explained to you that communicating with us via email would serve to be most effective. We always do our best to reply to you on Tuesday morning, but by then you'd already called, even on Monday mornings, 8:00 a.m., as noted in our phone logs. While you and your fiance were already set on such a venue and didn't want to look elsewhere, we did in fact finalize the details, including re-negotiating with venue the Food & Beverage minimum, reducing it another $2K, something which you wouldn't have had, as you were ready to sign prior to our intervening.
For appointments, you requested you wanted bridal boutiques that carried specific designer lines, and when we did, you decided to not show up or even call. This is most certainly not a sign of professionalism on your part, especially when there was no phone calls. I had to call you a number of times to make sure you were okay, only to have you tell me you decided to make your own appointments; only to later find out, it wasn't even with boutique shops that carried the lines you specifically requested.
Due to your previous behaviour, we decided it was best to keep communication via email only; to ensure there were no misunderstandings; so you, you are right, we didn't take your calls, but all your emails were always answered.
Per your emails, you didn't seem to tired or fed up in pursuing the deposit; but it is completely understandable as you had stressed more than once that you and your fiance were under financial duress. I'm just glad that our settlement was able to help you some financially.
I'm sure your frustration in trying to plan a wedding, your financial duress and overall stress, has made you do/say such negative things about us. I did talk with the vendors you mentioned and each one that I'd talked to and/or set up meetings for you, decided they didn't want to pursue a business relationship with you.
I hope that you have found vendors which can most certainly take care of your needs. I met with 3 different wedding planners and chose Claudia (and her assitant who I never saw again) because I felt like we clicked right away. Things went downhill from there. I felt it really hard to get in touch with Claudia, or get her to respond to me. I even had to have a conversation with her in December about it, to which she told me she was really busy and was in the process of hiring other people to help. I'm still not sure who else works there, if anyone. Claudia was very helpful in setting up vendor meetings so I did not have to waste my time researching vendors. She was helpful on the day of our wedding, but everything leading up to the big day was stressful because she would take so long to get back to me on things. Also, at my wedding reception, she sat down and ate my cake in front of our guests, which I thought was extrememly unprofessional. I would not recommend A Day to Remember.

Claudia is awesome. She really listens to your vision of what you want and helps you remain within your budget. She is very professional and fights for her clients always, even when vendor shopping. If you need additional items services/vendors, Claudia can either provide it herself for you or give you great referrals. I honestly really did not stress or worry on my wedding day like I thought I might and that was because Claudia hustled all day and night to make my dream wedding happen. From planing to the actual day. Claudia is right there with you.

Claudia handled my flowers for my wedding and did the day of coordinating. My flowers were amazing and more than I could have dreamed of. My maid of honor bouquets were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. She works hard to make sure that your day goes exactly as planned. There was a typhoon the day of my wedding and I still had a beautiful, magical outdoor reception.

We loved working with Claudia and her staff. They did such a beautiful job on the flowers! The cakes were so delicious, and everyone still keeps raving about them. Claudia was also my planner and she and her assistant definitely made my wedding planning so much easier. Claudia has such an eye for detail and is truly passionate about her job. I would highly recommend her. I can honestly say I don't just consider her my wedding planner, but my friend. Thank you guys for making our day so perfect!

Any time a business specializes in more than one service, quality is affected which was the case in my experience with A Day to Remember. I originally booked them to handle the flowers and cake for my wedding. Prior to receiving my deposit, Claudia was very responsive and delivered quality customer service. However, after she received my deposit I didn?t receive any customer service from her. I would call and ask for updated balance sheets - never received them. I wanted to make changes to my order (changes that would have increased the overall cost of my order) but I still never heard from her. I tried contacting her for these things for two months. When I did finally hear from her she explained that she had been very busy, and that I would hear receive the information I was requesting by the end of the week. Yet the week came and went and still nothing. I gave her many opportunities to provide me with some type of customer service, but when she did not turn in the vendor agreement for the facility that I was having my wedding at that was the last straw. I decided to dissolve our vendor relationship because if I couldn't communicate with her and couldn?t trust her to turn in the agreement, how could I be sure she would show up and/or do what I was requesting on my wedding day (especially since without the vendor agreement she would not be able to work at the facility on my wedding day). I also requested my deposit back; since she was the reason I no longer wanted to work with her. Claudia informed me that even though she acknowledged her role or lack there of she was still entitled to keep my deposit. It amazes me that in this day and age a vendor would believe that it ok to treat a customer any kind of way and still expect to be paid. So please beware and know that this is the type of vendor you are working with. After more research I found that her Better Business Bureau rating is an F. On top of that this whole experience made planning my wedding more stressful than it should have been. The vendors I replaced her with were very responsive before and after the deposit. So please be careful, every bride needs less stress during this time so choose your vendors wisely.

I loved working with Claudia!! She was fun, easy to talk to, and extremely creative. I had an idea of what kind of a cake I wanted, and she was able to create it and even helped me customize it further! I love the way it turned out, and so many people ooh-ed and ahhh-ed over it at the reception. Not to mention the fact that it was actually delicious! Who ever heard of a delicious wedding cake? (I usually don't like them) However, hers was fantastic & I would go with her all over again if I had the choice.

Claudia (A Day to Remember) is simply amazing! We initially had hired her to do the cake, flowers, and d�cor. Three months before the wedding, we found out that our wedding venue had double booked us. We then instantly hired Claudia to coordinate the wedding. She did an amazing job getting us a new place and everything else from there on. We really appreciated the fact that she stuck to our budget and actually got us a great deal on the new venue site (of which originally was out of our price range). We could not have been any more happier with how the wedding turned out.

Claudia was FANTASTIC! Words just can't express how wonderful she was to work with. I loooved my wedding cake and flowers. When you do a cake tasting with her, you get to take home your own 6 inch cakes, that was a major plus! And I got the best price in town! The cake looked better than pic I took in to her and the flowers were exactly what I wanted. As a planner, Claudia was just ideal! I can go on forever on how wonderful this company is but I think you get my point--- I was extremely satisfied with the services provided and can't thank her enough for making my bid day go smoothly!

All one can say when they think or hear of "A Day To Remember" is WOW! Claudia is the most professional and personal Wedding Coordinator I've ever known. She works hard, diligent, determined and above all detail oriented. My husband and I could not have asked for a better person to truly make our special day the most beautiful day of our lives. We truly hope that we can call on her in 5 to 10 years when we re-new our wedding vows! I recommend her to anyone! She's top notch and so is her services!!! Oh, best cake in the world!!!

Claudia was the best ever! I really enjoyed working with her. I met with various florists and decided to go with her because she really understood what I wanted without showing her almost any pictures and she gave me the best price. I had a very small budget for flowers but she was able to work with me to get a lot. She made the most beautiful altar arrangements and centerpieces. They were very simple, just like I wanted them, but they were noticeable, everybody loved the centerpieces. Three days before the wedding my mom decided she wanted more flowers and Claudia was able to make it happen. Also, the person doing my cake couldnt get the kind of flowers I wanted and Claudia took care of that too. If it wasnt because the cake was included in my reception package I woud have gone with her for the cake as well. She really can do everything for you. I would definitely recommend her.

Claudia from A Day to Remember made my then fianc� a Rubik Cube cake for his birthday. It was an awesome cake; I wish I could say the same for my WEDDING cake! The cake was made very sloppy and it looked like it had been knocked around in its box. The fondant ribbon around the three tiers of the cake were all DIFFERENT shades of red and weren't on straight. As if that was not enough the groom's cake was not the flavor that we asked and paid for! After the wedding I called and told her about it, she asked to see pictures of the cake; she said if they were not up to par she'd refund me some money. I sent her the pictures she has never replied nor did she ever return my calls. I had two bridal showers; both of those cakes were by far superior to my actual wedding cake. Both of my bridal shower cakes were made by friends that make cakes as a hobby not a LIVING! A Day to Remember does make nice cakes depending on the day- but do you want to take that chance on your wedding cake?
