200 person wedding with 2 locations
My husband and I got married in November, we had 200 people attending our wedding with a church ceremony and then reception at Riverside on the Potomac. We could not recommend our wedding planner, Felicia Kettler, enough! All throughout the wedding process she was available to answer all questions we had and ease our anxiety of having a big wedding with multiple moving parts. Felicia's knowledge of various vendors, wedding day timelines, and just overall experience with the wedding field made the wedding planning process so much less stressful. We would not have been able to put the day together without her support. Everything on the wedding day was perfect and are so grateful to Felicia and all of our vendors for everything! -

4 Day, 5 Event Wedding Weekend of PERFECTION
We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Alison. From the very beginning, she was organized, kind, patient, and an absolute joy to work with. Our wedding was complex—we had three separate venues, all starting as blank slates—and Alison handled it all with grace and expertise.
She helped us assemble an incredible team of vendors who were not only talented but perfectly suited to our vision. We had a ton of small details and surprises for our guests, including a Mardi Gras float parade to transition to the after-party (yes, seriously!), and every single piece came together flawlessly.
Alison was calm under pressure, always a step ahead, and somehow managed to make the entire process feel smooth and even fun. Because of her, we were able to fully enjoy our day, knowing that everything was handled.
If you're looking for a planner who will go above and beyond to make your vision come to life—and make it better than you imagined—Alison is it. She’s a rare gem, and we’re endlessly grateful. -

Alison and the Cherry Blossom team brought our wedding vision to life! These are serious wedding planners who bring passion and professionalism to every interaction. Alison guided us through every step of the planning journey, including finding our dreamy venue, connecting us with a superb team of vendors, and vision-boarding our event’s overall theme, mood and vibe. Alison has a wealth of experience in the wedding industry and a true eye for style and design. I am an anxious, overachieving perfectionist who is prone to stress (anyone else, DC?), so I had high expectations for my wedding day and some concerns about my own ability to actually ENJOY the joyous occasion. Alison and her team delivered, handling every little detail so we could be present with our guests and each other. We felt confident we were in capable and caring hands. No detail was overlooked! Highly recommend Alison & Alex (Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events) for Full Service Planning
Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events was incredible to work with. From the very beginning, we were impressed with Alison's professionalism and attention to detail. My biggest concern around wedding planning was not knowing what types of vendors/ideas to ask for - Alison provided a list of vendors to think about, and walked through a very detailed budget plan. And so from the beginning, everything was smooth sailing and I knew we could trust her completely. From venue, to vendors, to design, Alison did it all. The time she took to get to know us showed in each piece of the planning process. The day of the wedding, everything went according to the very detailed plan that the Cherry Blossom team laid out. We had the absolute best day ever: our families and friends noted how excellent all of our vendors were, and how smoothly everything went - all credit goes to the very excellent Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events team. I cannot recommend their services enough. -

September Wedding at The Hay-Adams
We recently worked with Felicia at Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events for a brunch wedding at The Hay-Adams and only have the best things to say about her. Originally, we weren't planning on hiring a wedding planner, but quickly realized how much we didn't know. My mom, who has been hosting and planning large social events for years, had a call with Felicia and immediately knew she was the planner for us!
Our first planning call with Felicia was extremely thorough. We were further comforted when she sent over the mock budget for our event, and we realized it was possible to make our dream come true within budget. At our first meeting, Felicia hugged the security lead at the hotel. It was such an example of her kindness and great reputation in the wedding world! She further helped us pick and secure more vendors that reflected our vision for the day.
Finally, wedding day came and it was a total success due to Felicia's professionalism and attention to detail. We did not worry about a thing on wedding day. Felicia had communicated with every vendor about the venue and the schedule for the day. We had a morning wedding which made the schedule and load-in a bit more cumbersome than usual, but Felicia still made it happen without a hitch. Although hiring a wedding planner was not a part of our original plan, it was truly the best decision we made for our wedding day! There is so much that goes into a wedding before the big day and on the big day and Felicia made it all seamless and stress-free.

Alison Golt - Best Wedding Planner Ever
It's so hard to put how amazing Alison Golt at Cherry Blossom is into just a short review. Her attention to detail is flawless. She makes you feel like you don't have to worry about ANYTHING. When my (now) wife was researching and vetting planners, she had an interview/meeting with Alison. After the meeting she told me that this woman is totally awesome and will do an excellent job at our wedding. We had so much faith in Alison that we also contracted her to plan our engagement party and it was just the most beautiful event. Throughout the planning process, Alison provided the perfect recommendations and vendor referrals for us and we couldn't have been happier with every recommendation Alison made. At every turn, Alison was always there for us and made sure that what we wanted was the most important thing. On the day of the wedding, Alison made sure that everything ran smoothly. If there was anything that wasn't perfect, we had no idea because Alison dealt with it and made sure it was taken care of. We had the most amazing day ever, thanks in large part to the work put in by Alison (and her team). By the time our wedding rolled around, we felt like Alison was part of our family. We were actually devastated when the wedding was over (not only because our wedding was over) but because we realized our time working with Alison was complete. Alison was a huge part of our journey and we will always remember her. If you're thinking about hiring her - do it. It will be the best decision you make of your entire wedding process. -

We cannot express enough gratitude for Alison and the incredible job she did as our wedding coordinator! From our initial meeting to the last dance of the night, she was a true professional and a calming presence throughout the entire process.
Alison took the time to understand our vision and helped us refine our ideas, ensuring that every detail was covered. She found vendors that I could only dream of. She truly took our ideas and executed them beyond our wildest dreams. On the wedding day, she handled everything seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day without any stress. The coordination of vendors, timing, and all the behind-the-scenes details was executed flawlessly.

Peace of Mind x 10!
I couldn't imagine planning and enjoying our wedding as we did without the help of Felicia Kettler of Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events! Felicia's support was the best investment we could've made toward our wedding, saving me tremendous time and headache. I loved Felicia's style -- upbeat but calm, direct but flexible, down to earth and straightforward, but also fun to work with and oh so experienced. She saved me many hours of otherwise having to research vendors and wade through the infinite options that engaged couples have to navigate these days with weddings. Her confidence in how things would work out gave me confidence (such as the weather forecast on our wedding day, the timing was perfect!). Not only is Felicia a phenomenal planner, she executes flawlessly as a Day-of professional -- working seamlessly behind the scenes, staying on top of the work of other vendors, and keeping track of our minute-by-minute timeline and so many details that had to happen throughout the day that I surely would've forgotten or overlooked. She works well and repeatedly with the excellent vendors we used, and was highly responsive throughout the year that we worked together on the planning. Our wedding was about as perfect as it could be -- as beautiful as it was fun, and went off without a hitch. We owe a lot of that to Felicia Kettler and Cherry Blossom. I cannot recommend her and Cherry Blossom highly enough! -

Alison is the Best Wedding Planner
Alison was incredible throughout the entire process. After interviewing several wedding planners, we hired Alison to plan our wedding, as she respected our vision and budget, and was committed to making the process as easy as possible for us. Alison immediately took action to help us find the best vendors and kickstart the planning process. She was always available for our calls and questions, even patiently fielding requests from family members who wanted to be involved. Alison managed the entire process so that all vendors worked seamlessly together to execute the perfect wedding, and making planning way less stressful for us. Whether it was hand delivering cake tastings the Friday before a wedding she was planning, or finding a videographer last minute when we changed our minds, Alison handled everything with ease.
And our wedding could not have been more perfect! We still have family and friends calling us to tell us how beautiful the event was, how they've never had wedding food taste that good, and how magical the entire weekend was. None of this could have happened without Alison's leadership and dedication. We are so grateful to her for planning the wedding of our dreams. -

There are so many things I could write to describe how amazing Felicia. If you know nothing about weddings like me or are hesitant to get a planner like we were, I can say with certainty our wedding could not have been done without Felicia! She somehow figured out everything I wanted perfectly when I had no idea. She keeps you on time and on track before and through the wedding. Greatest decision we made in wedding planning
I couldn't imagine our wedding without Felicia and Cherry Blossom.
Our day was magical, and that was largely due to Felicia's talents, hard work, diligence, communication, perspective, thought, and inspiration. She truly made our day everything we could have ever dreamed of. From the very beginning meeting for venue tours we knew she was the one to take charge of our vision. She immediately worked to get to know my husband and I, as well as our families, knowing down the road it would mean so much to be able to gear our day to the way our we would enjoy the celebration with our specific guests and families. She immediately coordinated vendors and communicated all needs, anticipated obstacles and timeline, and executed our plan and weekend flawlessly. She anticipated weather, road closures, deliveries, headaches, traditions, photos, music and more. She was warm, excited, realistic, and supportive of both us and our vendor teams, which made for the most wonderful teamwork and execution. There is an unbelievable amount of planning and discussion that goes into coordinated multiple teams of people with their own specialties. Months to years of work all to come together for a 6+ hours of an event and work seamlessly, and Felicia the woman for the job. I couldn't recommend her enough as I felt that she wasn't only there for our needs and wants, but for our lifetime memories of the greatest day of our lives. The best Wedding Planner we could ask for!
Alison Golt made our surprise wedding a reality. As it was my wife's and I second time around, we wanted a wedding that was unique and avoided tradition. When we informed Alison of our desire to hold a surprise wedding that masqueraded as an engagement party, she told us "I have never done one, but I want to be a part of this!" She was wonderful to work with throughout the process and did everything to make our vision become a reality. Alison was communicative, was very helpful with advice, and took charge when needed. All of our guests keep telling us how great a time they had. My wife and I loved our wedding because Alison took care of everything. Alison from cbwe is incredible!
If there is one thing you should invest in during your wedding planning process, it's Alison from CBWE. Alison is beyond brilliant, professional, organized, creative and organized. From the very start of the planning process, she put our minds to ease. She made the entire process so seamless and easy - recommending vendors who she has person relationships with as well as being open to new vendors she has not worked with. She understood our vision for every single moment of our wedding and turned it into more than we could have ever dreamed. She dealt with interesting family dynamics with pose and ease. The day of went so insanely perfect - she is on tip of the timeline, load in and load out and overall just making sure that you are having the most magical night. I cannot recommend Alison enough!!! Please do yourself a favor and hire her because you will have the most incredible wedding weekend with the most beautiful memories. -

Carlene is the best!
We worked with Carlene as our planner in the six weeks leading up to and the day of our August 2023 wedding, and it was probably the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. Carlene was absolutely wonderful to work with, and we can’t recommend her highly enough! She kept meticulous track of all of the details and helped us stay on track with planning/timeline. She was highly responsive in all communication with us and with our other vendors, and she took a lot of the burden off of us when we were stressed with the last-minute details. She even helped us secure a new vendor when we were down to the wire! On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and fixed all problems/issues that arose behind the scenes so we didn’t have to be involved at all (e.g., when the venue tried to charge us $200+ dollars for something we didn’t order on the day of, she made some calls and dealt with it!). She was incredibly thoughtful about our needs on the day-of, even bringing us cold glasses of water when we were hot outside taking photos. Our immediate family and bridal party loved having Carlene around on the day of–they knew she was the go-to person with all of the answers to their questions--and she kept things running without a hitch. We can’t speak highly enough about her – thank you, Carlene!!! -

Amazing experience!
Alison Golt and the Cherry Blossom team were a joy to work with through-and-through! Alison created an utterly fantastic wedding day for us at a rural family property, basically constructing the venue from scratch with our vision in mind. She is incredibly thorough, conscientious, and knowledgeable, and we were constantly impressed with the extra time she took to get to know our preferences and styles, explain details and next steps to us, and to match us with the perfect vendors for our vibe. Flawless Planning Process and Perfect Wedding
We worked with Jamie Smith for our September 2022 wedding—hiring her for our wedding was the best decision we made throughout the planning process. Jamie honestly made our year and a half long planning process easy and fun. She went above and beyond to check-in regularly and helped us work through the process slowly so that it never felt overwhelming. As we got closer to the wedding, she handled every issue, big or small, that came up. Our wedding day itself was flawless and stress-free. My husband and I were able to really enjoy the day without worrying about logistics or other details, which was such a gift. I cannot say enough good things about Jamie and the Cherry Blossom team—our wedding was perfect and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. -

The best wedding planner!
Alison Golt was our wedding planner and choosing her (and Cherry Blossom) was the best decision we made. Alison helped us coordinate a day packed with events (two ceremonies, a lunch, and reception) and took so much of the stress of planning off of our plate. When we had to choose a new photographer a few months before our wedding, she made sure to wait to deliver the news until she had several options of new photographers to present us with (and we loved the photographer we ended up with!!). It also rained intermittently our whole wedding day and she ensured that we took advantage of every minute of outdoor time. Our guests commented specifically on how organized our day was and how seamlessly it progressed even with so many events- we owe that entirely to Alison!! We cannot say enough good things about her- our wedding day was perfect!! -

We LOVED Cherry Blossom Events
We can’t speak highly enough for everything that Alison Golt and Cherry Blossom Events did to help us make our wedding day nothing short of spectacular. Our wedding venue cancelled on us just 5 months before our date and Alison and her team were quick to help us find other options and select an even better venue than we had originally planned. The day of the wedding went so smoothly and we are still hearing from our family and friends about how impressed they were with how everything went and how beautiful the venue and set up was! Highly highly recommend Cherry Blossom Events and Alison Golt for any couple looking to have an unforgettable wedding day!-

Flawless Wedding Planning!
Alison is extremely detail oriented and organized. She had her work cut out for her since my husband and I are both busy physicians planning a wedding in DC all the way from Minnesota! Alison was our eyes and ears in DC, single-handedly going on walk-throughs with vendors, fielding their emails and putting out fires. The process was seamless thanks to her and when she was out on maternity leave, Alex stepped in and took over without any kinks. The wedding day was flawless - Alison and her team at Cherry Blossom Events took care of all the behind the scenes stuff so my husband and I could just enjoy the day with our family and friends. Our wedding was a magical and perfect day that we will never forget all thanks to Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events!!! -

Made our wedding
My wife and I were originally scheduled to get married in April 2020 and after several postponements finally got married in October 2021. We can honestly say that without Alison from Cherry Blossom, we would not have stuck through those 18 months. Alison and the rest of the Cherry Blossom team were responsive, compassionate, organized, and an ease to work with. Alison's connections and insight into the industry and various vendors helped us make really informed decisions, even as rules, policies, etc. were constantly changing. Quite simply, you should hire them! -

Don't think twice- Hire Alison!
Our wedding would not have been possible with Alison as a wedding planner. I struggled with the idea of spending money on a planner, but I assure you it worth it. The ability to enjoy your own wedding and guests is the best gift of all. That is what Alison did us. She helped us plan a wedding during Covid, all while we were living in another state. She took our scattered ideas and inspirations and made them into a reality- perhaps better! She managed all of my emotions and stress (because it is real!) and made it a truly enjoyable experience. Guests continue to tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and perhaps I am biased, but I wholeheartedly agree. Thank you Alison! SPRINT don't run to book Alison!!!!
Hiring Alison as our wedding planner was the BEST vendor purchase we made. We first met Alison shortly after we got engaged in 2018! She was recommended by our (original) wedding venue and coincidentally sat next to her during a the Washingtonian Unveiled Wedding Event in DC! The second we met Alison we knew we were in the best hands.
Alison is prompt, organized, attentive, professional, creative, flexible, and clearly an expert in the wedding planning world. However, not only is she amazing at her job, but she is kind, patient, and truly cares about her clients. Alison was able provide us with the BEST vendors that fit our vision and stick within our budget. Alison was able to listen to what we envisioned and completely NAILED our vibe. Every single vendor we chose were exceptional and she clearly has a good relationship/connections with vendors in the DMV area.
We worked with Alison for over 2 years. Since venues book up so far in advanced in Washington DC we thought it would be nice to have a long time to plan the wedding of our dreams. However, the pandemic put a pause to our plans. During these ever changing times Alison was by our side the entire time. She gave us all the facts and constantly gave us updates as she spent countless hours and days watching the news and doing her research. Although this was an emotional time there was one thing that stayed the same - the support from Alison. Each time we talked to her I felt a little more hope. About 3 months before our wedding we had to make a change in venue and this was DEVESTATING to us. Alison was able to quickly work her magic and we ended up doing a tented wedding outside at the National Arboretum. All of our original vendors were able to still do our wedding and our original wedding vision still came true!
Finally, the third time was a charm and we got married on June 11 2021. Alison provided us the best gift - a fun, memorable, and exciting wedding planning process for me, my husband, and mom! I can't say enough amazing things about Alison and could not have imagined doing it without her. She made all our wedding dreams come true and MORE!

The only wedding planner you should consider...
My husband and I highly recommend Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events, specifically Alison Golt. Even with a down sized wedding, having Alison as our day off planner (really 6 weeks out planner) was worth every penny. She was fantastic to work with, extremely knowledgable, professional, and responsive - everything you would need in a wedding planner. It was wonderful getting to know her and having her help & guide us through the process. We cannot say enough good things about her and highly highly recommend her! -

Alison at Cherry Blossom Events is an absolutely incredible planner. She was incredibly organized and creative, and her attention to detail was impeccable. From our very first meeting we knew we didn't have to worry about a thing - she handled it all!! She was totally on top of things and took a huge amount of stress out of the entire wedding planning process. On the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids all commented on how calm I was. It was because I knew Alison was behind the scenes making it all happen! She even saved the day after I spilled tomato soup on the front of my dress during cocktail hour - she pinned the dress expertly and nobody was the wiser. We can't recommend her highly enough!! -

The best thing we did...
My mom and I were fully prepared to plan and coordinate my wedding on our own, but were strongly encouraged to hire a month-of coordinator by our caterer. He recommended Alison, and we could not have been more grateful he did so. When she started with us six weeks before the weddig, she took everything over immediately and flawlessly. I can't even imagine how stressed I would have been without having her; she brought up and thought of SO many details that we never would have on our own that, looking back, truly made our wedding so much more enjoyable. Then, day of, when things inevitably didn't go as planned at certain points, Alison handled everything so well and kept my husband, my mom, and I at ease the entire time. We've said that of all the things we did for our wedding, hiring Alison was our best decision of all. -

Highly recommend!
My husband and I are BEYOND happy that we hired Felicia with Cherry Blossom to be our day of wedding coordinator. We were very hands on with the wedding planning process and wondered if we even needed a day of coordinator -- and wow, we made the right decision!! Our whole day was executed perfectly thanks to Felicia! She helped us iron out the many logistical questions we had in the week leading up to the wedding, put together a timeline that kept the day together, and above all, we were able to enjoy our wedding without a worry in the world. Felicia was a pro and so wonderful to work with -- always very responsive and went above and beyond to make meetings with vendors. Alison is the best!
Hiring Alison Golt was such an amazing decision! We found her through our wedding venue, the National Museum of Women in the Arts; on our initial call, we were so impressed by her level of preparation, organization, and detail. In the leadup to the wedding, she found us amazing vendors and worked with them to build our vision for the event. On the day of the wedding, she was just incredible, handling things big and small (including sewing my sister back into her dress). It's certainly true that Alison made wedding planning much less stressful, and it's also true that our wedding was way more beautiful and fun because of Alison's hard work. We can't imagine a better planner! -

Best decision we made!
We worked with Alison for our January 2020 wedding and I can say without a doubt that bringing her on board was one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process. She went above and beyond in every way - always taking the time to talk through things with me and giving me thorough and well thought out advice. The day of our wedding she was extremely organized, professional, and a calming presence for us all. She was on top of every little detail and even though I got a bit sick during our wedding, she made sure we stayed on schedule while soothing me and reassuring me everything would be OK. An absolute dream come true
I was first attracted to Cherry Blossom one month after my engagement when I started to research local florists. I did not love how the resort decor and florals were very cookie cutter, I liked the unique designs I was seeing from them. Better yet, their reviews were amazing. I reached out and received immediate and prompt response from their team. They were SO patient as I asked for things I saw on Pinterest to be quoted and OMG their prices for what you will receive, the Value is incredible. The quality is NOT sacrificed, my photographer said to me "that arch must have cost thousands". Everything was just as the pictures I sent them. The delivery was prompt and bouquets delivered to my room. I highly reccommend Cherry Blossom. Their designs are unique and beautiful, the process of selecting decor/florals was smooth and they respond so quickly and are so professional. The flowers and the arch and everything was gorgeous. Jamie was amazing!
We hired Jamie from Cherry Blossom Events for our October wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made! Not only was she there to handle all of the logistics on the wedding day, but she coordinated with vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and ran our rehearsal. I was completely confident in her and if there were any snafus I never learned about them! We are so thankful we had Alison with us on our wedding day and leading up to. We went with a 6-week out package and she was a total lifesaver!!
She kept us on schedule, handled the... difficult.. (you know what I mean :)) people in our group, directed the vendors, and did it all with such grace and tact! She made us feel so special. Best Decision We Made!
Having Alison Golt from Cherry Blossom Events coordinate our wedding was hands down one of the best decisions my husband and I made during the whole planning process! My husband and I both have Type A personalities and we had no issue handing over one of the most important days of our lives over to Alison. We did not experience any stress on our special day because we knew that Alison had everything under control and handled. We were able to fully enjoy the moment and that's a gift that we'll always be grateful to Alison for. She impressed us, our parents and our guests. I can't tell you how many times someone at the wedding came up to tell us how impressed they were with Alison. Alison Golt was terrific!
My husband and I selected CBWE for our month-of-wedding coordination for our D.C. wedding in July 2019. We were thrilled with our coordinator, Alison Golt, who came recommended by a family friend of my mother. Alison is extremely resourceful, knowledgeable, professional, listens well, and friendly. And boy is she organized — enough to color my Excel-savvy husband and my to-do-list savant self impressed.
Alison proved her worth from our very first meeting, laying out timelines, key decision points, and understanding our needs. She helped us chase our rehearsal dinner provider to lock down a contract after the restaurant went silent (3 weeks before the wedding!), quickly find a new hair stylist with 4 weeks to go, and find a videographer with 3 weeks to go during peak DC wedding season. She also marshaled resources to take care of one of our guests who, an hour into the reception, slipped down a flight of sharp stairs and ended up bleeding quite heavily, without distracting from the reception events.
Even our other wedding vendors commented on how terrific she was to work with. My husband and I would highly recommend CBWE for any wedding.

We love Alison!
Hiring Alison was the single best decision we made in the planning process! Our wedding day was perfect and so much of that is due to Alison's work.
We opted for full planning and worked with Alison for about a year, and it was such a pleasure - she's responsive, patient, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. From finding us a venue that fit our style, to putting together a great team of vendors, to managing our budget, Alison did it all. The planning process can be stressful, but Alison kept us on track and made sure nothing ever fell through the cracks.
Day-of, Alison kept everything running smoothly, managed all the vendors, even sewed my dress strap when it broke during the reception. If there were problems, I never knew about them - she made everything as stress-free for me as possible. My husband and I were able to relax and just enjoy the day.

My husband and I got married this past weekend and worked with Alison.
It will be hard to put into words how amazing it was to work with her. We had an outdoor wedding with initially no infrastructure, on the Shenandoah River. All we had was a giant open hay field. Alison helped us create a wedding venue from scratch and knew just what vendors could make it happen and which ones could make it happen in the style we wanted. She was creative, efficient, organized, responsive, versatile, and helped us keep on time with decisions and tasks. Not only is she amazing at her job, but she is so kind and caring. We thought the wedding planning process would be so much more stressful, but Alison took all that potential stress away. On the day of the wedding she seemed to be in twenty places at once and her team was just as great. Her game time decision making was amazing and not even rain could put a damper on the evening. We had to move our outdoor ceremony to under the tent, and it turned out so unique. We wove through a crowd of family and friends to the altar. It was incredibly cool and special. We would highly recommend Alison to any bride, groom, and family that wants to throw an awesome wedding and party. My brother and sister-in-law also worked with Alison on their wedding two years ago. It was indoors at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and it was also an incredible evening. Our family has seen Alison pull off a wedding in a ballroom and a wedding on a farm, so she really can do it all. -

We signed up for partial planning and day of coordination but got so much more than just that. She understood how to manage the personalities involved in the planning process, kept our budget from going over, and was extremely generous with her time. She went above and beyond in every aspect of the planning. We never had a single problem that she couldn't solve and she was truly an expert on handling negotiations with vendors. Alison was professional and diligent in responding to the business matters of the planning and simultaneously creative and fun regarding the more decorative / celebratory aspects of the process. There really are a lot of moving parts in putting together a large wedding, like ours, and Alison exhibited not only proficiency but excellence in every single stage. Her full value, however, became clearly evident the night of our wedding. Without her, I'm not sure the night would have happened. Alison was always ready to lend a helping hand and made us feel like we were her only clients. She started the process by meeting with us and going over everything that we envisioned for the wedding. We could immediately tell that this is a labor of love for her. She took what we asked for and was able to help make that a reality by finding vendors that fit our vision within our set budget. She worked great with our families and received many comments from them about how amazing she is at her job. Alison was always prompt in responding to our many emails and was able to put our minds at ease by coming up with solutions for all of our concerns. On the day of, we were completely at ease knowing that Alison would be there to manage everything. My husband and I could just enjoy the day and it could not have been more perfect.

We hired Alison and Cherry Blossom Events as our "day of" planner, but got so much more! Alison starts six weeks out by meeting with the couple, detailing all the decisions you have made so far, and takes over communication with your vendors. I can confidently say that our wedding day would have been much more stressful without Alison. She made sure everything that needed to happened, happened, and kept everyone on the right track. We're so glad we hired her and would recommend her in a heartbeat! -

I loved working with Alison Golt at Cherry Blossom Events. She was SO incredibly organized, and helped me to prioritize tasks over the course of the planning process to make planning my wedding a much less daunting task. She helped me find AMAZING vendors and coordinated all of the scheduling/contracts, etc. along the way (including negotiating fantastic deals with some of our top-priority vendors!). That was definitely helpful, but I especially couldn't have lived without Alison during the last couple of months of planning, when a ton of details need to be figured out and the timeline takes shape. She did a PHENOMENAL job of managing a number of different vendors, keeping me in the loop about changes, and updating our plans on the fly as we worked through changes in guest counts and last-minute requests. During the last couple of weeks leading up to the wedding, I practically had her on speed-dial/speed-email, and she fielded each request smoothly and efficiently. On the day of the wedding, she kept us calm and on-time even as she was juggling a million different tasks simultaneously. Her attention to detail even included packing up everything at the end of the evening and organizing our hotel room so that we didn't come back to chaos after the wedding was over. I couldn't recommend Alison and Cherry Blossom Events more highly. -

Alison was absolutely amazing. From a groom's perspective: there's a lot that goes into a wedding that guys (well, at least this guy) have never considered in their entire lives. Alison helped us navigate vendors to help us find the best people to execute my wife's vision for our wedding while respecting our budget.
She was incredibly patient with me and the rest of our family when explaining why we needed to do things, and when they needed to get done. She figured out the best way to work with each of us and catered her approach to planning our wedding to best fit our personalities. The planning was a breeze because we followed Alison's advice. 2 weeks ahead of our wedding we were 100% ready to go and could relax before the big day.
During the wedding Alison transformed. While she was masterful as a planner she was legendary as an event coordinator. Everything flowed seamlessly. There wasn't a thing that came up she wasn't prepared for. I'm sure some things went wrong but my wife and I never knew about them because Alison and her team had everything under control. We wed, we danced, we partied with our best friends and favorite family members, and didn't have to worry about a thing.
The result of Alison's hard work was nothing short of magic. I would highly recommend her services. -

Alison was fantastic! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! She is super organized, professional, responsive and knows her stuff. She got involved 6 weeks before our wedding to manage all of our vendors, plan the schedule and take care of all the extra details that, quite frankly, I was just tired of dealing with and it was a seamless transition. She gave me the peace of mind that our wedding day would run smoothly and I knew that she would take care of everything - and she did! My mom loved having her as well! (even though I'm sure we drove her crazy at times! :) I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our wedding day and was able to focus on getting married and just enjoying myself with my husband, family and friends. I owe a BIG part of that to having Alison and her team there to take care of he details. If you are questioning hiring a planner/coordinator, do yourself (and your sanity!) a favor and absolutely DO it. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend Alison and Cherry Blossom events! -

We first met Alison when we toured the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She was working as an Event Coordinator for the museum at the time. We immediately fell in love with the venue and were very impressed with Alison. She was extremely knowledgeable, detail oriented, and professional. After spending an hour and a half with us, giving us a very thorough tour, she informed us that it was her last week at the museum. We inquired about what she would be doing next and Alison told us she was going to Cherry Blossom Events because she wanted to do full event planning. We knew right away that we wanted to hire her to plan our wedding. We decided on the partial planning package (Alison would handle 5 of the vendors and would take over communication with all vendors a month prior to the wedding). Alison was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was as perfect as we imagined. She did a great job with the 5 vendors she was in charge of, but also gave excellent recommendations, suggestions, and *honest* advice on all aspects of our wedding. During the week of our wedding, Alison came to our house and picked up everything that needed to go to the hotels/church/venue, i.e. hotel welcome bags, signs, decor, place cards, programs, pictures, etc, etc. and delivered everything to their respective places. This was extremely helpful. There are so many moving parts when planning a wedding and Alison and her assistant made our day completely stress free. You won't regret hiring her! -

Alison Golt is an amazing wedding planner. She is exceptionally organized and highly responsive. As someone who is used to planning events in my professional life, I didn't really understand the value of having a wedding planner beyond my inexperience in the wedding marketplace of vendors. While all of the vendors that we chose from her network were top-notch, her true value was in her efforts the week of the wedding.
She could not have done more to help try and make the process a bit easier. I can't even sit here and list all of things she did because it would take forever and I would miss something (also - once it's over, that is not the part of the process you want to remember). AND, at the end of the night, she and her team pack EVERYTHING. You don't have to worry about anything but your partner and the rest of your lives together!
Alison is the best. I cannot recommend her more highly. -

Having a wedding in DC typically means to need to bring in all of your vendors piecemeal which can be a lot to coordinate the month before the wedding. For this reason we decided to hire a month of coordinator to help us organize all of our planning at the very end. We didn't anticipate needing too much since we thought we were in pretty good shape at that point. Boy were we wrong!!
Alison Golt, our coordinator was an absolute God send! She helped us with all of the final details (may of which we hadn't even thought of!) as well organized ALL of the day of details directly with our vendors. Alison met with us about 4 weeks out from our wedding to sit with us and gather all of our ideas and visions for the wedding, and from there she worked tirelessly to make sure the day was everything we had hoped it would be-- and it truly was.
She would send us weekly reminders of all payments that were due, or any last minute details we needed to complete. She would coordinate any last minute questions or requests directly with the vendors which made our lives so much easier just having to work directly with her.
The day went off without a hitch (and if it didn't-- at least I didn't know about it!). Alison kept everyone on schedule and in line and really made sure that the day ran smoothly and we all stayed on track. When my bustle started falling apart at the end of the night, Alison whisked me to the side and quickly repaired it with her "emergency kit" so I could get back out on the dance floor safe and sound. The day was everything we had dreamed it would be and more, and we truly could not have done it without her.

Not enough words of praise to do justice to the wonderful wedding that Alison Roth Golt and the Cherry Blossom team created for my son & daughter-in-law at River Farm recently. She is a consummate professional - attentive to the total vision and to every detail (and budget) to achieve that. We opted for the package in which she handled five vendors for us and tended to every detail the week prior to the wedding and the all-important day-of, so the bride, groom (and I) could enjoy a spectacular day. When wind gusts threatened our outdoor ceremony, Alison moved the ceremony indoors - and it was even more beautiful than we dared imagine. She has excellent taste, an ability to listen and be thoughtful, and she is a true diplomat in getting everyone on the same page. She is simply the best and I hope when it comes time for our other son to marry, it will be in the DC area so we can work with Alison again! -

I serendipitously came across Cherry Blossom Events through Alison Golt.
I was living in Boston and needed someone that would be able to work with an out-of state bride who was planning 4 events over a span of 3 days in the MD/VA area. Before I decided to have her on my team, we exchanged two phone calls, a few emails back and forth, and a meeting with my immediate family. As a Pakistani affair - it's not only about the bride and groom, it's about the family. Through it all Alison was patient, professional, and receptive.
We contracted her and had absolutely no regrets. Eventhough this was her first wedding as an official event coordinator no one would have been the wiser. She was at all of our walk-throughs, knew all the contracts, and took over communication between myself and the vendors about a month prior. She was able to work with my limited time schedule as I was only in Maryland a few times throughout the process - even meeting on a Sunday while I was simultaneously doing a make-up trial and my whole family was making our favors.
She coordinated 17 vendors at 4 different venues (and I may be missing some) and handled emails and meetings with grace. No small feat. Besides being awesome, she truly went above and beyond. During one of the events we had a major issue come up. As we were leaving a few days later for our honeymoon - we knew we would not have time to address it. Despite our events being done, Alison reached out to the multiple vendors involved and was able to have everyone come to an agreement without having to include me at all.
We consider her part of our family and I know she will continue to make many beautiful memories for all her clients. -

Alex and her team at Cherry Blossom Events are everything I wanted and needed in a wedding planner! From start to finish, they were responsive, timely, patient, and just downright experts in making sure that every aspect of our wedding went off well.
For every vendor they helped us with, they gave us a handful of options within our budget and within our design ideas, allowed us to narrow down the choices and negotiated our meeting with the vendors. They asked the vendors the questions we didn’t know to ask, and went to bat for us every time there was something we really wanted or were unsure of with a vendor. Even for those vendors that they didn’t negotiate for us, they would always provide us with a starter list of options or vendors they knew of so we could at least start off on the right foot. It was like having someone read these types of reviews – for you!
They provided a day-of timeline that pulled in every detail of the wedding. For the day of, they added in extra help to make sure our transportation from multiple hotels went off without any problems and coordinated with every vendor, even the ones they didn’t negotiate for us. We didn’t have a typical ceremony so there was no officiant to run the rehearsal. Alex and the team swooped right in and got everyone organized, kept unruly groomsmen in line and got us in and out of rehearsal on time and with three run-throughs done.
They handled every last minute issue like it was no problem and kept the entire day going. I truly felt like I enjoyed my wedding day, didn’t have to worry about what was going on with the DJ, the caterer, the transportation, nothing. Your wedding day, is YOUR wedding day. Alex and her team provide a service that is PRICELESS – no hassle, no worries, and a stress free wedding day. I am forever grateful for their work. -

We purchased the “Month of Coordination” package from Cherry Blossom Events and Elizabeth Leibundguth was our planner. I cannot begin to describe the professionalism and expertise with which Elizabeth handled our daughter’s wedding. I originally did not think we needed a “day of” coordinator, since we had already done most of the planning and had confidence in our vendors, but my husband suggested that it might be a good idea “just in case”. I am so glad we decided to use a coordinator and even more thankful that we found Elizabeth!
Six weeks before the wedding, Elizabeth contacted us to get the contracts for all our vendors. She put together a timeline for the weekend’s events, including the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, the wedding day and the farewell brunch. She confirmed all details with our vendors, which took a load off my shoulders during the weeks leading up to the wedding. Midday on the day before the wedding, she met with our venue’s catering director and us to go over all the details and returned that evening for the rehearsal. On my daughter’s wedding day, she and her assistant set up the escort cards, put up our “Welcome” sign and made sure that the ceremony, cocktail reception and the dinner/dancing rooms were set up and ready to go. She brought the bouquets and boutonnieres to the bridal party suites and functioned as a “gopher”, running items from one suite to the other among other things. She worked with the photographer to keep everyone on schedule and made sure the bridal party and parents were where they needed to be at all times. She stayed until the very end and made sure that everything flowed smoothly. She also took care of handing out our final payments and distributed gratuities at the end of the evening. After the party was over, she brought the top tier of the wedding cake, wedding gifts and several other items from the party to the bridal suite.
If I need a coordinator again, I would not hesitate to use Elizabeth!

We chose the month out planning and worked with Elizabeth...and loved her! We had no idea how clutch it was going to be to have someone take over all the final arrangements and day of organizing. Starting six weeks out, Elizabeth began emailing with questions and got all of our vendor information. She reached out to all of them and took full control - all while still keeping us in the loop of conversations that were being had. As we approached the day, she made the timeline (an item I never would have thought to make) and arranged final walk-throughs. It was amazing having someone to take all the information out of my head and create a fully formed event. From the rehearsal on she was in full control making sure everything was happening on time and making sure my husband and I and everyone was where they needed to be. Her and her assistant also set everything up the day of - we left them with all the table decor and items and they laid it out beautifully! She was invaluable to those final weeks and day of and took so much stress away from us and our families so that we could just focus on enjoying the day! This review is for Kaitlin Przezdziecki and the full planning package at Cherry Blossom Events. I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Kaitlin and the wonderful job that she did in planning our wedding. Like many DC brides, I have a hectic job and knew from the beginning that there was no way I could put together a wedding without a professional coordinator who knew the city and had relationships with local vendors. My husband and I met with several other highly regarded planners here in town, but were immediately impressed with Kaitlin's expertise, kindness and value.
From the beginning we knew we'd made the right choice. She assisted us with everything from finding the location, to vendor recommendations, to transportation and logistics, while also making some wonderful creative suggestions along the way. As someone who had a vision of what I wanted (but not always the logistical know-how to put it together), Kaitlin was invaluable in helping me bring my vision to life.
She also worked closely with my mother-in-law to put together a large number of welcome boxes for our out of town guests - even stuffing them and working directly with the hotel to ensure correct delivery. What's more, she assisted with coordinating and planning the rehearsal dinner and a large welcome cocktail reception the night before the wedding - both of which were amazing events!
The week leading up to the wedding was incredibly easy knowing that Kaitlin had everything under control, and the wedding morning could not have been more calm - which was such a huge gift because it allowed me to enjoy the moment rather than having to stress about minor, last minute details.
My husband and I truly cannot thank Kaitlin and Cherry Blossom Events enough for putting together such a wonderful event! I highly recommend them to any couple looking to get married in the DC area! -

Kaitlin was the perfect choice for a wedding planner for my daughter's wedding! As a mother of the bride who lived a thousand miles away from D.C., and my daughter, the bride in D. C. who had almost no time for planning due to work/school/other responsibilities, Kaitlin was just what we needed. She was always helpful, took initiative in keeping us on track, and had great ideas when we needed them. And she took our ideas and made them a reality. Her vendor contacts and suggestions were always right on track (we had the partial planning contract). She was calm, prompt, and understanding. I am normally a DIY'er, but Kaitlin was everything I couldn't be in this long distance planning process, and worth every bit of the expense. I had interviewed another planner before Kaitlin, but once both my daughter & I had talked to her we both felt so comfortable with her and confident in her skills it was an easy choice, and absolutely the best one. -

I simply cannot say enough good things about Kaitlin and the whole team at Cherry Blossom Events. As a highly organized person who does event planning as part of my job, I had a hard time convincing myself it was necessary to get a month-of coordinator, but I could not have been happier with our decision to hire. Kaitlin came to my office building to meet with me more than a month out, organized all of my contracts, helped me find a new makeup stylist when my originally-hired person disappeared at the last minute, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. When I had no one local to learn my dress bustle, she was glad to come to my final fitting and do my bustle on the wedding day.
When it came to the wedding weekend, I was completely at ease knowing that Kaitlin would take care of everything. On the Thursday before my wedding she came to my house to pick up all of our paper products, and we did not have to give any of it a second thought for the entire weekend. Our escort cards, table settings, dessert display - everything looked absolutely beautiful, and she worked with the caterer, florist, and all the other vendors to make sure everything ran perfectly. Our wedding was absurdly smooth and seamless, and it allowed me to relax and have a blast celebrating without giving a moment's thought to any of the details. Our family and friends cannot stop raving about how flawlessly everything was executed and how at ease I was throughout the wedding weekend.
If you're on the fence about hiring a month-of coordinator, do not spend another second debating it - it is worth every last penny (and then some) to allow you to fully enjoy the wedding that you've put so much time and effort into. If I was allowed to give more than 5 stars to Cherry Blossom Events, I would! -

This review is for Alex Pare and Cherry Blossom Events. My daughter hired Alex to help her plan her wedding. I live out of town and are not familiar with any of the local vendors. We hired Alex for the Full Planning Package. Working with Alex was a dream. She was professional, creative and a stickler for details in creating a dream wedding for my daughter and son-in-law. Her recommendations for the selection of all the vendors were perfect. She coordinated every aspect of the wedding and took all the stress away from us. We knew we could thoroughly enjoy the actual wedding because Alex was there behind the scenes handling the entire party. The band (Black Tie) was phenomenal. The flowers (Toulies en Fleur) and the draping (Elegant Momentz by Kathleen) were exquisite. The room looked like a fairy tale. Even the tent for the cocktail hour was elegant (I never expected that). Alex handled the hotel blocks and the after party. After the wedding, she brought the centerpieces in her own car to the hotel so they would be there for the brunch the next morning making that room look beautiful. Working with her exceeded both mine and my daughter's expectations. I would 100% recommend Alex Pare and Cherry Blossom Events and if I was every planning a party in the DC area again I would without reservations use them again. I can't speak highly enough about Kaitlin or Cherry Blossom. I used them for "Day-of" wedding coordination, so Kaitlin got involved in wedding planning about six weeks before my wedding. She was incredibly organized from day one, emailing before the six week mark to ask for all the contracts with my vendors so that she could start reaching out to them. She took care of everything with the vendors and was so good about reminding me of the tasks I needed to complete myself. She was always quick to respond to my questions, and even helped me make some of the decisions involving the event details (any bride knows that there are a million decisions to make- sometimes you need an expert to help you make some of the decisions!)
The day of the wedding she was absolutely awesome. She was on top of everything, and incredibly efficient and organized throughout every step. The timeline she had drafted weeks before the event went off smoothly and without a hitch. Everyone kept telling me how calm I was the day of the wedding and in the days leading up to the wedding- I credit Kaitlin for my calmness because I knew everything would work out perfectly with Kaitlin being so organized and on top of everything! -

If it weren't for Kaitlin Prezdziecki (pronounced pres-jet-ski), we wouldn't have managed to have a wedding celebration, or at least not one that ran smoothly. Before Kaitlin we had booked a venue and catering; we really had gotten little else done. We called upon Kaitlin with maybe 4 months lead time, and she immediately jumped in and got us organized. She did a wonderful job of prioritizing the things we needed to decide and made sure we had a manageable number of options from which to decide (both of us work as lawyers, so we have long hours at work and can be hard to pin down). As a result, we never felt overwhelmed; whether it was trying to decide upon our service music and musicians or the band for the reception or choosing table linens (given our numbers, we had guests in two different rooms, each of which benefited from a different set of linens), Kaitlin spent time winnowing out things we wouldn't like so that our choices were simpler.
In addition to being very well organized and upbeat, we appreciated that Kaitlin wasn't trying to impose upon our wedding her idea of what it should look like; instead, she tried to work with us to find things we would like, while offering gentle direction. She did a great job, in particular, in helping us with the design of the invitation. She also was critical in the working with the florist to produce some really impressive decorations, and she was very good in identifying as options things that many people do (for example, we decided against offering some sort of favor, but she did note what options there were for us to consider first).
On the day of the wedding, Kaitlin was a big help. She arranged for our luggage to get to our hotel -- which is a bigger benefit than might otherwise appear given that we have two young kids (3 and 4). Once at the venue, she and a colleague made sure that things ran smoothly. Both were extremely unobtrusive while overseeing the event and yet still nicely dressed. -

Kaitlin was my wedding planner for my wedding in Old Town Alexandria. Kaitlin was hired for the 2 months prior to the wedding and was extremely professional and reliable. Not knowing that much about wedding etiquette her timeline and checklist were crucial the month before. The day of the wedding she and her assistant helped run the wedding smoothly and everything was stress free!

A few months before our wedding, my wife and I were debating whether or not to spend the money to hire a wedding planner or to try to run things ourselves. We decided to go with Cherry Blossom and hired Kaitlin Przezdziecki as our planner. It might have been the best money we spent on the whole event.
The best thing I can say is that on the day of the event there was not a single "headache" that made it to our radar. I had been somewhat apprehensive because as you'll learn, a wedding has a lot of moving parts and different vendors interacting, and I was worried that a slight hiccup could throw everything off and cause us stress on our wedding day. As it turns out, everything went off without a hitch, or at least if there were any issues, we didn't have to worry about them.
Kaitlin put together the entire timeline for our wedding and guided the process from beginning to end, right down to the end of the night when leftover food, decorations and gifts all made it into the correct cars without any of our guests having to step away from the reception to deal with it. She freed us and our families up to simply enjoy the day and the event and could not have done a better job. -

We decided to hire Cherry Blossom Events because my daughter (the Bride) was very busy with work & I live out of town. Kaitlin was our wedding planner & she was worth every penny spent! It was wonderful having a competent, resourceful & efficient event planner that was familiar with Annapolis & local vendors. Not only did she aid in selecting the vendors that were the best match, she was always available to answer questions & helped us work through every detail. I found it very helpful that she contacted the vendors & remained in touch with each one throughout the process. Timelines were provided as well as payment schedules. No complaints... only compliments! -

The number one criteria we were hoping a day-of planner would meet was the ability to prevent us from thinking about any logistics at all during the wedding. As much as we love guestbooks and place settings,* we only wanted to think about the important things during the wedding itself: family, friends, booze, etc.
It all happened as we had hoped, as Kaitlin somehow, magically, made all of our worries disappear and allowed us to relax and actually enjoy our wedding. She took care of everything from making sure vendors carrying heavy things didn't crash into other vendors carrying heavy things to making sure babysitters carrying toddlers by their feet didn't crash into other babysitters carrying toddlers by their feet. We didn't even see this tornado of productivity in action at all, but saw the result in a smooth, seamless night.
Kaitlin was an absolute pleasure to work with ahead of time as well. Totally responsive, totally cool. Can't recommend Cherry Blossom enough.

My husband and I had done the majority of our planning ourselves, but as we locked in our vendors and got closer to the wedding date, I realized I wanted the peace of mind and ability to enjoy our wedding day without any last-minute stress. Enter Cherry Blossom Events and Kaitlin, our amazing day-of coordinator. We met about 3 months before the date just to talk big picture, and then again about six weeks prior to see how everything was coming together. Kaitlin took all of our vendor information (contracts, packages, points of contact, appointment times, etc) and created our day-of timeline - no small feat. She was extremely accessible and responsive in the weeks and then days leading up to the wedding. It was very reassuring to know that she and her assistant would be dealing with the logistics of two different sites for our ceremony and reception, leaving our family and bridal party to just enjoy the day. Our wedding really was the best day ever, and we have Kaitlin and Cherry Blossom Events to thank for managing the flow of our wedding. -

My review is for Alex Pare and Kaitlin for day-of wedding coordination.
First of all, I couldn't have been happier to work with Alex up to and on the day of our wedding. She was wonderful to work with and her and her team are very professional. From the beginning she was very responsive to emails, phone calls and texts. We met months before the wedding and she listened to what I had planned/envisioned and offered tips and advice when I asked for it. The month before the wedding she took over coordinating the day-of schedule and coordinating with the vendors. At the rehearsal and on the day of, my (now) husband, my parents, and I were able to relax and enjoy the wedding because Alex took care of everything. Coordinating all of the members of our wedding party and our families can be a difficult task but she did it with ease. Most importantly she was very fun and lighthearted and made the whole wedding day and the days leading up to it stress free.
Kaitlin was also available to help days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. Even though we had her running all around the day of the wedding she was so sweet and helpful. About 20 minutes before the wedding ceremony my mom accidentally dropped the dish that was to hold our rings for our ring warming ceremony and it shattered all over the floor. Without skipping a beat, Kaitlin said it wouldn't be a problem because we can put the rings on the stem of the pumpkins we were using for decoration. She came up with a great last minute fix so quickly that we didn't have a chance to worry about it and none of our guests had any idea. She totally avoided a last minute disaster and the pumpkin was very cute.

If someone had told me in the past that the single best decision we could’ve made in our wedding planning was to hire Elizabeth Leibundguth of Cherry Blossom Weddings, I would’ve scoffed. And, frankly, after we were told by other planners we interviewed (including Simply Chic and Ritzy Bee) that we couldn’t possibly do anything worthwhile in DC within our budget, we were pretty turned off by the entire idea of reaching out for help. Thank goodness we had a meeting with Elizabeth already set up, as she was absolutely delightful, practical, and patient, and really made the entire process seem straightforward, and the end result absolutely stunning. The entire event was gorgeous and it all seemed very easy – all credit to Elizabeth who I’m sure made potential issues disappear long before they ever rose to the surface. She did an excellent job of helping us find outstanding vendors and of being a voice of calm throughout the process. -

Originally, Elizabeth was the coordinator assigned to me, but she ended up being almost 9 months pregnant by the time of my wedding, so my account was handed off to Kaitlin. I am so happy this happened, because Kaitlin was amazing! I had day-of services only, but about five weeks before my wedding, Kaitlin contacted me and took over everything. It was so great not having to worry about contacting any of the vendors before the wedding, because I knew she had everything handled.
Kaitlin was worth her weight in gold. There were a few hiccups with the florist (including not making one of the bridesmaid's bouquets), but Kaitlin was there to make sure they made the fourth bouquet on the spot and that it was comparable to the other three. They also provided birch logs for the escort cards which did not look very good, but she was able to rearrange them so that they actually looked nice. She kept us on time and appraised of what was going to happen next throughout the wedding, so I didn't have to worry about anything. I am so glad I hired Cherry Blossom Events to coordinate my wedding! I think it was one of the best decision I made. -

I worked with Chantal for my wedding in Baltimore. My husband and I actually missed our walk-through of our wedding venue (due to traffic) with our caterer and Chantal was there to take care of all the details. She totally saved the day!!!
On the wedding day, she was on-time and very helpful. As the bride, I felt relaxed knowing I had a great asset on my side. My parents had so many great praises and were so happy that the wedding went seamless. I would recommend every bride to work with Chantal! -

Alex, the owner of Cherry Blossom Events, was truly a God-send. We hired Alex to be our Day-of Coordinator and I wouldn't have done it any other way. She was extremely thorough, and on top of everything in the preparations leading up to our wedding, the rehearsal, and wedding day. We planned everything for our wedding, but I HIGHLY suggest that all brides have a day-of coordinator. It was unbelievable to not worry about ANYTHING the entire day-of. After seeing all of the work and coordination she put in on our special day, there is no way I could have done it by myself, or appointed a family member to take on that role. Moral of the story is, Alex was tremendous and I recommend her to anyone getting married or having any type of event. -

There aren't even enough words to describe how amazing Alex Caggiano Strawn at Cherry Blossom Events is! We hired her to be our coordinator and not only did she run our day with absolutely no mishaps and no worries for us to deal with, she made amazing recommendations for great vendors when we were hunting for the right people to work with. Knowing that a vendor had her seal of approval was a huge relief, and every single person she recommended without fail turned out to be amazing. I worked with Elizabeth Leibundguth of Cherry Blossom Events, and purchased a partial planning package. Hiring Elizabeth was the best decision I made while I was planning my wedding. She was great during the planning process. Elizabeth answered all of my crazy questions and made recommendations about how to do things better. She helped me select several of my vendors, including my hair stylist, photobooth, transportation and cake chef. She also did a great job creating the day-of schedule and helping me tailor it to exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, Elizabeth could not have been better. She arrived early to make sure everything was being set up properly and on schedule. The ceremony was outside, but it was threatening rain all day, and Elizabeth handled it beautifully. She did so much to help me stay calm and feel comfortable. I didn't think there was anything more that Elizabeth could do, and then when I woke up the morning after the wedding and started to wonder where I had left a million things (my ipod, my veil, my ceremony shoes, my guestbook ....), they were all laid out in my hotel room. It was really incredible. -

I am so glad we decided to get a day of planner. Courtney was amazing and my wedding day simply would not have run as smoothly as it did without her. At first I thought I wouldnt need a day of planner, but now looking back, but I couldn't have imagined going through it all without someone keeping everyone on schedule. Alex is amazing!! My now husband and I got engaged in September 2011 and planned to get married the following May, but we are really bad about planning and had done virtually no planning by January and decided to hire a wedding planner. We met with Alex in early January and although we were quickly running out of time, she made us feel comfortable that a May wedding wasn’t impossible. Within a few days Alex had put together a sample budget for us and had called half of Alexandria/Arlington/DC to find a reception venue that was available on our date in May. Several places were already booked, but she found the perfect spot for us just outside the heart of Old Town at Indigo Landing Restaurant in Alexandria. We never felt overwhelmed with planning because Alex compiled a five month timeline for us and was great at arranging meetings with wedding vendors. Alex has developed some great contacts in the wedding industry, and she found us an incredible DJ, photographer, florist, makeup artist, and the list goes on. One particular challenge we faced was organizing transportation for our guests from the church to the reception sites. I envisioned a trolley, but they were of course all booked for our wedding date by the time we started making arrangements. Alex went above and beyond and was able to coordinate a trolley from Richmond Trolley. The price was comparable to what we would have paid for a local trolley and everything worked out flawlessly. On the actual wedding day I felt so calm because everything was taken care of. Alex coordinated everything and the whole day worked out perfectly. The guests danced throughout the night and my parents were so proud to have put on such a fun party! Alex is incredible and everyone raved about our wedding. It was such a special and memorable day for our family and we couldn’t have made it all happen without Alex’s help! -

I worked with Alex Caggiano-Strawn for day-of coordination of my wedding. Booking Alex Caggiano Strawn at Cherry Blossom Events was hands-down, THE BEST WEDDING DECISION I MADE!
I know many brides (especially us Type-A personality ones) debate about the need of a day-of coordinator, but I write today to say, "stop debating and book Alex!"
For me, Alex was pleasant to work with, incredibly responsive, always available (even when she traveled to NY on vacation!), insightful, and a calm soul in the midst of any chaos. She took everything I threw at her with a smile and a solution. When I needed 25 paper lanterns hung, she was on it. When I need a guest book quilt table set up in a way that would meet my southern grandmother's expectations, she was on it (and it was better than anything I could have done). For 2 years I had planned every single detail of my wedding (down to the second), and Alex still took it to the finish line (using flower petals to accent things or setting up the favor table in a way that made the guest exit memorable).
I have a hard time relinquishing control (admittedly), and I would hand over another event to Alex in a heartbeat. For me, that's saying a lot! -

My now-husband and I regularly tell ourselves and others that investing in Cherry Blossom Events for full wedding planning purposes was one of the best decisions we ever made.
For approximately one year, we had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth Leibundguth at Cherry Blossom Events. While I consider myself a very organized and detail-oriented person and contemplated for quite some time whether we needed a wedding planner, I now cannot imagine going through the wedding planning process without her hard work and ongoing support.
When we began the planning process, we didn't have a clear vision for our wedding. Elizabeth ultimately helped us refine our vision and the final outcome was simply perfect. Because my husband and I are both of Indian origin, our wedding was also unique in that it had multiple events - 4 to be precise. Our festivities began on Friday morning with a traditional South Indian ceremony, that evening was our Sangeet (essentially an Indian version of a dress rehearsal), Saturday was our North Indian wedding ceremony, and Saturday night was our Reception. Elizabeth went above and beyond to help us create a weekend that reflected traditions we value while also having contemporary elements that we wanted. Moreover, we had a large guest list with almost 400 people attending our Saturday events and Elizabeth was instrumental in helping us organize and manage our guest list and RSVPs - a task that I dreaded and could not have done without her.
During all of our weekend festivities, we knew that all would go well because we trusted in Elizabeth and Cherry Blossom Events to execute everything they had helped us plan. I was at ease and my husband and I were able to enjoy the festivities with our guests.
Throughout the process, Elizabeth was organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and supportive -- an overall delightful person to work with. In fact, I got so used to meeting her or talking to her on a regular basis that it was quite jarring when it was all over.
We would, without hesitation, recommend Elizabeth and Cherry Blossom Events to friends and family in the future!! -

It was truly an honor to work with Elizabeth and Cherry Blossom Events. I chose the month-of package as we were able to organize and secure our vendors and most of the big details beforehand. Elizabeth was very organized, calm, reassuring and fun throughout the entire process! Her organization and her attention to detail helped to calm my nerves before and during the wedding! -

Over a year ago when my now husband and I decided to get married in downtown DC we knew it could potentially be pretty stressful as we had no family in the area and had no experience planning an event in the city. After a little investigation into wedding planners we were referred to Alex Pare, owner of Cherry Blossom Events. After meeting with her just once I was sure we wanted to work with her. We hired Alex for full event planning and it was worth every penny. Alex is amazing. She is extremely organized and so knowledgeable of the DC event planning and wedding scene. From day one she started organizing our timeline and setting up appointments with venues. She did a phenomenal job of finding choices of vendors in our price range who would fit well with the type of wedding we were having. We took her recommendations for the majority of our vendors and we were so pleased with every choice. She knew exactly who would fit with our personalities and they all provided phenomenal service. Without family in the area Alex and I spent a lot of quality time together planning this wedding, she’s an absolute professional but was also so much fun to spend time with. I’m going to miss all my meetings with her! Since I did not want to be bogged down with tons of little details she kept me on track with frequent timelines of the specific things I needed to get done and she took care of the rest, from phone call, to setting up meetings and negotiating contracts. Alex paid attention to every little detail and minimized my stress so I actually enjoyed planning my wedding. She even handled my mini meltdown in the days before my wedding! On the day of I was able to enjoy the day and did not need to be concerned about anything. If anything went wrong I had no idea because the day went seamlessly. Our venue had never had a wedding ceremony on site which made me slightly nervous but Alex transformed a blank canvas into a beautiful and romantic space for our vows. I would recommend Alex and Cherry Blossom Events to anyone looking for a wedding planner. Bill and I could have never done it without you!! Thank you Alex! -

I consider myself to be very organized and good at planning; however, planning a wedding is a completely different ballgame. I can't recommend enough the need for a wedding planner and a great one at that. Alex, owner of Cherry Blossom Events, was my savior and I wouldn't have had the most enjoyable and relaxed time of my life if it wasn't for her! Over the course of a year, Alex was so easy to work with and never got annoyed with my bazillion questions that came up. She is definitely at the top of her game making sure that you are comfortable with the all the decisions you are making, she is very knowledgeable offering an abundance of advice and suggestions along the way, and she ensures you’re on track with your budget and timeline. Not only am I thankful for the stellar service she provided, but my husband is equally as thankful because I didn’t turn into a bridezilla! We truly couldn’t have had the wedding we had if it wasn’t for her. From the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception, everything flowed flawlessly, which allowed my husband and I to enjoy every moment as if we were living out a fairytale. My hats off to Alex…thank you for your many efforts in making December 3rd a day that Sean and I will never forget -
