  Celia Grace was perfect for me. From the ethical business approach to the beautiful designs and the ease of at home try on. The Marie was a dream to wear all day and the lace is beautiful! So very happy and will recommend Celia Grace to future brides!

  I knew I wanted a Celia Grace dress from the moment I discovered their ethical, fair trade business practices. The idea of wearing a dress that not only made me feel great but also really, truly supported the people and the family that made it was exactly what I was looking for. After looking at the website over and over again I finally had Marcie send me some dresses in the mail. I arranged for a girls brunch morning with my sisters, mom, mother-in-law to be, sister-in-law to be and a few friends. I tried and modeled the dresses in my own living room and got to spend as much time in them as I wanted. I only tried on 5 dresses and I had found my dress! I didn't have to go to crowed dress shops full of hundreds of dresses and lots of other people. Getting the dresses shipped to me and trying them on in my own home was an experience I will never forget. Having that relaxed environment to make my choice was wonderful. Later that evening I even put the dress I choose back on again before packing it back up to send to the shop! Marcie was wonderful to deal with and made everything easy, fun and relaxing. I recommend Celia Grace not only for their ethically sourced wedding dresses but also for their professionalism and personalized service. My dress still makes me smile and I treasure the moments I spent in it on my wedding day.

  Especially if you appreciate a more personalized bridal experience, this is a vendor to check out. Beautiful dresses, excellent philosophy, wonderful staff! I found the Celia Grace line and owner/creator Marcie by accident essentially. After spending a day in some of the more traditional chain settings for trying on wedding dresses, I decided to do some web browsing for smaller boutique options in my area. I was amazed to find the listing for Celia Grace as I hadn't recalled seeing a shop anywhere near me; turns out I got the more personalized experience of being invited to Marcie's home base to try on some styles. She was warm, reassuring and pleasant every step of the way. Although the dress I ended up getting was not one of the ones I was most drawn to initially, I knew the moment I put it on it was the one for me. Marcie made every effort to work with me in terms of timing and payment options without ever pressuring me to make a decision in haste; it was absolutely the right way to go. I had tried on similar gowns at other shops, but this one felt light and airy in comparison and knowing that the people who had made it were being compensated for their incredible work made my decision to spend a bit more than I had initially budgeted even easier. She also recommended a local seamstress for my alterations that ended up being a perfect option as they dress I purchased was a sample dress and not initially custom made to my measures. By the time the process was completed, I felt like it had been made specifically for me and was thrilled with the result. I can't speak highly enough about this vendor and the people behind it!!

  Completely amazing experience - could not have found a better person to work with. Trying on dresses was super personal and I felt like she was totally invested in making sure that I found the perfect dress for me. She never tried to push any particular options but instead helped us sort out what we were looking for. Can't recommend Celia Grace enough!!!!!

  I was so happy to find Celia Grace in my online search for wedding dress companies with a strong ethical and environmental mission. Not only do they embody their mission, but they produce absolutely beautiful dresses. I wore the Isabel and I loved it so much. The train was absolutely stunning and the silk was light and perfect for a summer wedding. I was so impressed with the quality of its construction. I am so pleased with my dress and I would recommend Celia Grace to anyone looking for a dress with values and a story. Thanks!!!

  I happened across Celia Grace during a Google search for an ethical wedding dress company. I was skeptical buying a wedding dress online, but Marcie made the process so simple. She kept constant communication with me and addressed all of my concerns. Because of her and her team, purchasing my wedding dress was a pleasant experience. When my dress arrived, it was perfect! Marcie was beyond helpful, so positive and informative, and basically the exact person you want to be dealing with while planning a wedding. My dress (the Eleanor) was a dream - light, floaty, airy, made me look and feel like a princess, but wasn't too fussy or fragile, despite the fine fabric. I ended up purchasing it through a local store (Your Big Day Bridal) and Merrie, who helped me there, was also so wonderful. I can't say enough good things!

  I loved everything about these dresses. The website initially caught my eye because of the fair trade promise and the more I read about the social mission the more I fell in love. I requested a price and was pleasantly surprised at the price point, and I was able to get a couple dresses shipped to my home in Hawaii to try on.
  Marcie has been responsive and wonderful throughout the whole process. I ended up choosing the Eleanor, a simple but beautiful and elegant dress that was perfect for our beach ceremony. If I had it to do all over I wouldn't change a thing.

  Since Celia Grace does not have any dresses in any bridal shops near me, I tried the dresses on by picking out which ones I was interested in and Marcie sent them to me to try. At first I was nervous about this as I had no idea what I was looking for but as dresses began to show up, I realized how lucky I was to have this experience. I timed when I was receiving the dresses for when my grandmother and sister were coming to visit. I had my good friend and seamstress also come as she knew how to pin and hold the dress for us to see what it would really look like. I really recommend having a professional around as she took the dress from being oversized to looking glamorous in just a second. All of us were so impressed with the quality of material and craftsmanship. Another part that I so appreciated was that even though I thought I knew which dress I wanted, Marcie encouraged me to try other dresses. From this, it actually led me to picking a dress that was not in my original top picks. I strongly encourage everyone putting on several dresses despite your first impression from the website:)

  Being a plus-sized bride is difficult. If you are plus, you know that you can only really find dresses (and clothing for that matter) that is sweat-shop manufactured, and is often of inferior quality and fit.
  When I found Celia Grace Bridal I knew someone finally understood that every-size woman wants to celebrate her special day feeling like a goddess in a dress that is created by happy, healthy and thriving individuals . I have always felt that it is a hypocrisy to wear a garment that embodies happiness, fulfillment and love when it is manufactured in a hopeless environment.
  With the cost of weddings in general I feel that what is spent on a Celia Grace dress is a true bargain. Isn't it wonderful that you can contribute to the happiness and welfare of those have helped to create something that takes center-stage at your wedding?
  As far as the quality of the dress, I was floored. The layers of silk taffeta and organza are truly stunning and feel amazing. These fabrics are also mindfully-created, which is so hard to find, again not only in regular sizes but nearly-unheard of in plus sizes.
  Marcie recommended dresses she felt would show my figure at it's best and we settled on the Rachel dress. And not only did I find the perfect dress, but Marcie respected my "dress your favorite color" wedding theme and added a STUNNNNNING cobalt belt and train (made with a sky blue taffeta silk and deep purple organza silk, on top).
  Once I received my dress I took it to a seamstress (who thought the quality was amazing), and we added sleeves that Marcie had conceptualized, and a high-low seam, that was my idea.
  Needless to say with all of the help and support and the incredible craftsmanship, I looked amazing and FELT amazing!
  I whole-heartedly recommended to ANY SIZE BRIDE- if you are considering spending money on any part of your wedding, invest it in a master-work by Celia Grace!

  I serendipitously came across Celia Grace when I first started searching for my wedding dress, and fell in love with the designs and company mission. I was particularly drawn to one style, though it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I was first envisioning my wedding dress. But it was the first one that I tired on, and I immediately fell in love with the beautiful and simple elegance of the dress. And that was the end of my search- I felt completely comfortable and confident in my dress on my wedding day and am certain I made the right decision!
  
  Working with Marcie was a wonderful experience- she is incredibly warm and helpful, and made the entire process so easy. Marcie also provided me updates on the women who were making my dress and their progress, and shared photos of those seamstresses with me- it was such a unique experience to connect more personally with the woman who created this beautiful garment for me. The quality of the silk in my dress is amazing!

  I can't say enough about my gorgeous Celia Grace wedding gown! After having a terrible experience at a large chain retailer, I found an amazing local couture boutique nearby. Soliloquy Bridal in Herndon, VA was the answer. We went just to browse and my consultant brought out a variety of dresses. Needless to say, as soon as I had "the Susan" on by Celia Grace, I knew it was the one. All of the other dresses were incredibly heavy, hot, bulky, and intricate. The "Susan" is gorgeous, lightweight, and allows the brides natural beauty shine. it has a beautiful sweetheart neckline with a bubble hem and pickups throughout. It looked amazing against our country club backdrop. And best of all, the dresses are all Eco-friendly! A water filtration system is donated to a family in need with each dress purchase. I am so glad I preserved my dress, so I can enjoy it for years to come.

  I can't say enough about my gorgeous Celia Grace wedding gown! After having a terrible experience at a large chain retailer, I found an amazing local couture boutique nearby. Soliloquy Bridal in Herndon, VA was the answer. We went just to browse and my consultant brought out a variety of dresses. Needless to say, as soon as I had "the Susan" on by Celia Grace, I knew it was the one. All of the other dresses were incredibly heavy, hot, bulky, and intricate. The "Susan" is gorgeous, lightweight, and allows the brides natural beauty shine. it has a beautiful sweetheart neckline with a bubble hem and pickups throughout. It looked amazing against our country club backdrop. And best of all, the dresses are all Eco-friendly! A water filtration system is donated to a family in need with each dress purchase. I am so glad I preserved my dress, so I can enjoy it for years to come.

  Celiac Grace made sure I had the perfect weddingdress for our elopement to NYC and for our reception when we got back to Sweden! The aspect of a fair trade weddingdress was very important to me and I was really happy when I found Celia Grace that not only used fair trade fabric, but also provided their seamstresses proper payment and reasonable working hours aswell as giving away water filters. As I ordered my dress, I had quite recently found out I was pregnant. Both Marcie and Alix were really accommodating and suggested alterations to the dress I chose to fit my baby bump! I got plenty of updates on the process of my dress and it was delivered without fuss, all the way to Sweden from Cambodia!
  As we got married in July I was five month pregnant and my Lucille tea lenght weddingdress with a higher waist looked stunning showing of the bump! It was pleasant to wear aswell, even though new york was very hot in July. It was also perfect for the reception two weeks later in the, just slightly, cooler Swedish summer.
  I sent some pictures aftewards and have been told the seamstresses in Cambodia appreciated to see their work worn. I love that they actually took the time to send them pictures and also get back to me about it!
  Alix and Marcie were always quick on responding to my e-mail and also very friendly! I would definitely recommend everyone to get their dress from Celia Grace, not only because they are producing their dresses in a fair way, but also because the dresses are beatifully made and will make any bride (even a five month pregnant one) look stunning!

Marcie was so incredibly helpful, kind and quick to respond to all my questions. She was such a pleasure to work with. Buying my dress through Celia Grace meant that we were supporting Marcie, her business, and the women in the co-op. It truly made our big day even more important.

I really had my heart set on an ethical wedding dress, and because Celia Grace's styles are really beautiful and high quality and the price points are competitive with other brands, I didn't have to sacrifice on style or pay a premium. I tried on 3 cuts and picked the Amelia - the process was surprisingly easy and I felt so gorgeous in the dress! I actually had had a baby only 6 months before, so hadn't lost all my baby weight yet, and with the amelia on you really couldn't tell it was so flattering! We also got the men's ties for my husband and his groomsmen. They were affordable and a nice added touch to make the men's side fair trade too. I honestly love this company and the mission - go Celia Grace!:)))

  I had a wonderful experience with Celia Grace. My bridesmaids and I attended a wedding event in Brooklyn this past Spring, and though I wasn't looking for a dress just yet, a beautiful lace gown caught my eye. I met Alix and learned about Celia Grace's fair trade philosophy and decided I had to try some of these dresses on. I went to a "trunk show" where I was able to try the dresses on at Alix's apartment in Brooklyn and it was the most comfortable, personal experience. I did not want that "Say Yes to the Dress" experience where everyone is staring at you in a big salon full of too many choices, so being in this setting with this wonderful woman and these beautiful gowns was perfect for me. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on :) Alix and Marcie were both great to work with and very responsive to all of my questions and concerns throughout the process, which was pretty quick considering the dress was made in India! I really can't wait to wear it at my wedding, it's so perfect and beautiful and I'm glad I can feel good about where it came from!
