I was extremely impressed with the service provided Catering By Vest. My wedding was July 21, 2011. I got engaged in January 2011. With just a little time to prepare for the wedding, I was extremely impressed with the services provided Catering By Vest. Before I found this caterer, I had experienced 11 tastings from 11 different companies. But none of them fulfilled the taste, decoration and cost test. I wanted good soulful food, without it being Thanksgiving dinner at my wedding. I wanted my wedding plated to add a bit of elegance. And I had a budget. Catering By Vest was able to provide a good selection of food to choose from within my budget. The coordinator worked with me. She even wents over my final floor plans with me! The company exceeded my expectation for the favors that I dreamed about for my wedding. And it was plated. This company not only provided the food, but they helped arranged my table and linen rentals---which was three things off my checklist. I will definitely choose this company again for my next event!

I just had my wedding catered by Chef Thomas and everything was SPLENDID! I had the wedding of my dreams. The food was outstanding and presentation beautiful. Guests were impressed with the taste and quality of the food. I was able to get top quality food at a very economical price. He was very accomodating and never objected to the MANY times I changed my mind. He and his staff were so pleasant and offered my guest and I outstanding service. Actually I was impressed with his warm friendly demenor when my husband and I went for the tasting. I have nothing but PRAISE for this company. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!!!!!

Our wedding was at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville Maryland. We used
Catering By Vest (AWESOME) for our food and set up. I want you to know we had the best time of our life. Mr. Thomas and Mrs Carol are the most wonderful people to work with. Out of all our research, they are the most reasonable catering sevice in this area for what we got. We had about two hundred people and they work so hard to make sure we were happy, and we were. We still have people talking about how good the food was. If you want a good time and good food, contact Catering by Vest. Also Occassional cakes makes the best cakes for their prices, and they will work with you and your budget. Will definitely use them again.

Catering by Vest is the BEST! We found them based on reviews from Wedding Wire and using their services was the best decision we made! First of all, Chef and Carol are wonderfully kind, generous people. They really care about you and are invested in making your day special! Carol handles the business side. She is very attentive to detail, responds promptly to requests, and was able to arrange for decorative services too (linens, chair covers, etc.). Her responsiveness was so important to me because I was planning my Maryland wedding from Chicago. Her prices are reasonable and you get a lot for your money. Carol also referred us to our delicious cake baker--Occasional cakes, and our day-of coordinator. Most of all, she is extremely professional, but still so warm and makes you feel like family! And the food......whooooohoooo! They can cook! I am convinced that Chef can make ANYTHING! He uses just the right blend and amount of spices. Every time we visited their office, they brought out their delicious punches, gorgeous fruit platters, and samples of their awesome dishes. We left with togo plates several times! At Catering By Vest you get a great deal for your money; excellent, delicious, professionally-served food; and a team of people who really care about making your day special! My wedding day was SO much fun, because I knew I was working with quality, professional vendors and I didn't have to worry about anything that going on behind the scenes! Catering by Vest is by far, an exceptional group to work with! Vest & his team stepped up and showed us what 5 Star food & service really is! He was very knowledgable, easy to work with, flexible, and willing to work with us to make our wedding perfect. Being the bride, I did not have the oppertunity to sample the tasty passed hor d'oeuvres but our guests raved about them! Dinner was delicious. The food was amazing and the wait staff was attentive to my family and all of our guests! Everything went exactly as we had requested. We highly recommend the catering!!!

I enjoyed working with Catering By Vest for my wedding. I found them through the WeddingWire website and it was a pleasant experience to work with them. The price was great, the food was really good, and we received many compliments about the menu at the wedding.

Working with Catering By Vest was a pleasure! Mr & Mrs. Vest were pleasant from the first phone call and continued throught our planning and event.they made us feel so at home during our tasting that we knew they were the ones for us.We had to plan across state lines since we live in Massachusetts, but they were very flexible and willing to communicate in any manner ie. email, phone etc.The staff members they used during our wedding were extremly professional. Vest helped to make our event timeless!! The guest loved the food, and I was very impressed with how the presentation came out. I took Mrs. Vest lead on choices of tablecloths, overlays and napkins due to being out of state and she did not let me down. Vest is a wonderful company to work with!

Catering by Vest was awesome! Having family from South Carolina meant we had to have some good southern cuisine! Everyone raved about the food. It totally exceeded our expectations. From presentation to professionalism to just plain old tasty food -- Catering by Vest now has a customer for life!

Overall the service was great and I really don't have to many complaints. I would recommend them to others just be mindful of your budget. Just let me say CHEF VEST IS THE BEST! There were a few communication problems towards the end. Once they get your money it seems like they are done with you. It takes them longer to get back to you and sometimes they are very forgetful. Other than some minor mishaps and some ignored request it turn out pretty good. They did include some great surprises but they do need to work on customer relationships. Chef Vest is just the man though he really makes you forget all the rest because his attitude is always pleasant. The food was average and the staff is average too! So members of the staff are however fantasitic. Just make sure you do your research.

Catering by Vest provided me with top-notch service that I was more than pleased with. The wait staff was courteous and attentive (making sure that those of us at the head table were taken care of), the buffet tables were beautiful and the food was delicious. The caterer and staff were very helpful and went above the call of duty in helping to clear tables and gather up linens and trash as people started leaving. I would highly recommend Catering by Vest for anyone's catering needs.

They were very personal and their creative ideas just made everything perfect for our day!!!!
