    The cake Robin made for our wedding at the Roanoke Island Aquarium was spectacular. It was absolutely perfect, our guests were so amazed at all of the detail work that she put into it; the white chocolate starfish/shells, the hard-candy sea glass, and the beach fencing. We had originally ordered a 3 tier cake but when we gave Robin our final head count a week before the wedding she informed me that she didn’t think it would be enough for 140 people and suggested that we get the 4 tier cake. We were hesitant at first because we didn’t want to take a ton of cake back home, but in the end decided to go with the larger cake and man was it a good idea! We had hardly any cake left over. Other than the piece that we initially cut my husband and I didn’t get to eat any of the cake. We heard from our guests that the cake was delicious especially the red velvet! As at most weddings we were sent home with the top of the cake. However, we heard many different stories (mostly horror) about freezing the cake for our 1 year anniversary. So we decided to eat the top layer at our 1 week anniversary and it was delicious even then! Thank you Robin for the delicious and beautiful cake!

    The Wedding Cake, "Chairs" Beach Theme, was absolute perfection! The cake was not only beautifully decorated, but the taste and freshness was exquisite! Family and friends raved continuously about it being the best cake they had ever eaten! It was absolutely worth every cent spent and we can't thank you enough for being the final perfect touch to the day and reception!!

    Cakes by Robin was by far the most delicious cake that we sampled on the OBX.. Homemade and delicious!!! The presentation and Robins sweet spirit made our day one to remember ... All our guests LOVED the cake!!! Thanks again!!!

    Robin- Thank you so much for our beautiful AND delicious cake! We loved it and so did our guests! I don't know how many weddings we've been to where the cake is hardly eaten and there is a lot left over... NOT IN THIS CASE! We saved the top tier for our one year anniversary and we would definitely order from you again!!!!

    Robin did an excellent job with our cake. It was just as I had asked and when you're planning a wedding from afar you never quite know what will happen. She did a great job!

    Robin was WONDERFUL and more importantly, so was her cake!! I didn't have the chance to meet her, but several short phone conversations, and I had the most gorgeous, most delicious cake! She seems to specialize in beach-themed cakes (duh, she's on the coast!) and mine was positively beautiful! I only needed a cake for 20 people, so it was small, but it still looked just as lovely as her large cakes. She delivered it to our beach house (the venue) herself, and again... it was SO GOOD! Everyone kept raving about the icing, and I just couldn't get over how cute it was :) I highly recommend Robin, she has both a website and a Facebook page so you can get an idea of her work, but you can't taste them through the internet, so trust me when I say it tastes every bit as fantastic as it looks!

    We decided to do cupcakes for our wedding and a close friend recommended Cakes by Robin.
    Robin is so sweet and always made time for our questions and our cake tasting.
    Her butter frosting is amazing and I cannot say enough about the cupcakes.
    She set everything up for us and decorated the cake with beautiful gerber daisies and even came back later to pick up the stand.
    We had strawberry and vanilla cupcakes and there was not a disappointed face in the crowd.

    Best cake on the outer banks. All the locals know her and love her.

    Cake was presented at the time, location, and the way it was requested. No detail was ignored. Very pleased with her work and will definitely use her again for birthday cakes or an anniversary cake.

    We loved our Cake by Robin! She did a great job and our cake was a huge hit. My husband likes simple cake, and we opted for a traditional yellow butter cake with icing. I showed her a few photos of what I liked, but ultimately let her run with it. I'm a firm believer in letting the professionals do what they do best, so I was open to her interpretation of what I liked online. We ordered a cake based on our initial number guest list of 350, and just decided to stick with it even though our final count was just over 200, because we were happy to have leftover cake. Our entire cake was gone at the end of our reception! Almost all of our guests went back for seconds (and in some cases, thirds), no one could stop eating this cake!

    We took home our top layer to freeze, but my husband loved the cake so much he ate it the next day. It never even made it to our freezer! On our 1st anniversary Robin made us a small anniversary cake, and again, my husband dug into it before lunchtime! Needless to say, we really liked our cake!

    Robin really worked with me!! My wedding was the weekend after the hurricane, and Robin reassured me that everything was going to be ready. Sure enough, the cake was perfect! It was exactly how I imagined it would look. Now I'm sure it tasted perfect too. All I was able to get was the bite when we cut the cake :( I can't WAIT to eat it at our 1 year. All of my guests loved the cake too!!

    We used Cakes by Robin for our Grooms cake and wedding cake/cupcakes. The grooms cake was a golf course which looked great. Our wedding cake tasted delicious and was beautiful with starfish on top!

    my cake was exactly what i wanted!!! it was gorgeous! robin delivered it to the reception site, which is extremely helpful! the taste and quality of the cake was at it's absolute best...we had so many compliments on how awesome the cake was!

    Robin was very nice to work with and was very understanding with me being a state away, she made my grooms cake for our rehersal dinner and our wedding cake, our wedding cake was gorgeous!! I wish I would have been able to have an actual "piece" for myself lol, she delivered both cakes on time and as promised. The day of the rehersal was a little hectic and we had some problems with communication but other than that she was easy to work with. The grooms cake didn't turn out quite how I had envisioned but my husband got a kick out of it and it was delicious so that's all that matters!! I would def recommend her to anyone that wants a nice , yummy cake at a reasonable price!

    We loved the way our wedding cake turned out! Robin did an awesome job, even taking into account the change we asked her to make from her "original". Everyone raved about how awesome the cake was. It tasted fabulous, was really fresh! Thank you Robin for providing us with our special cake on our special day!

    Robin is an incredibly nice woman. She nailed our request of a dune inspired wedding cake. She even drove over an hour to our reception site to deliver our cake on the wedding day. I would reccommend her any day.

    We were referrred to her from the Sea Ranch resort. We pulled up her website and ordered from the cakes she had posted on her website. The cakes were beautiful. We order a beach theme cake and on the wedding day it was beautiful. The cake was delicious.

    I had wedding cupcakes, they were awesome, just what i had pictured and best of all they tasted great! Love the strawberry:-)
    I was a little disappointed in not really having a professional tasting. I was from out of town and made a special trip to taste my cake. But when i got to her home, she didn't seem to really know who i was and then gave me some leftovers that was literally one flavor and about the size of a tablespoon and that was it. And it was stale:( i was a little worried at that point. I paid a lot of money so i was expecting the real tasting experience with a couple flavors. She just seemed rushed and that i was wasting her time. But in the end it looked and tasted great and i guess that's all that matters. Very happy with the end results. It was expensive but im sure it's due to it being a destination wedding area and not back in my home town in ohio;)

    We absolutely loved our cake from Robin. We had a beautiful 3-tier keylime flavor beach theme cake. It was gorgeously done & melt in your mouth texture. It was perfect, I couldn't ask for anything more.

    When looking around for a vendor to make our cake, Robin was by far the least expensive and we liked her homemade cake and frosting choices more than the other vendors. She does have some issues with email/technology and her responses aren't the fastest. I really do think that she means the best but her scope of skill is very limited to her profile/online cakes. After we mentioned that our cake should look similar to one in her profile, but sent a picture of exactly what we wanted, she kept coming back to the one in her profile. I should have pushed harder, but it was not worth the effort with all of the wedding planning going on. Overall, our cake tasted wonderful, but was designed how we actually wanted it, which is 50% our fault for not insisting (although I sent the picture 3 times and once being in the actual mail with the final deposit). Our guests enjoyed the butter and lemon flavors and the homemade butter cream. Just a frustrating process.
