It is so sad to review this vendor, because they did a good job until it mattered and then screwed up so big that I'm lucky I had a dress at all.

Basically, they shut their doors with no warning while they had my dress in their possession, and they did not contact me about my dress in anyway, even though it was less than 8 weeks until my wedding:

My seamstress snuck my dress out of the store and I got it tailored in her basement. That's not the way this should ever work. No matter how nice trying on a dress was, the end experience was not worth it. You could not pay me enough money to ever work with former owner Kathy Strukel ever again.

I don't know WHAT that other person is talking about. I went to Brides a la mode and everyone from the owner to thereceptionist bent over backwards to make me feel at home. No one was rude.

I ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses and invitations and even found a wonderful DJ at a great price.

There were no mistakes or problems....I had a perfect wedding -- thanks to Brides a la mode!!

I believe that anyone in the wedding business should be very good with details. Brides a la Mode is not. They ordered the wrong bridesmaid dresses for the wedding, and were very rude upon finding out their mistake. No discount or apology was ever given. We were told the correct dresses would arrive 12 days before the wedding. Again, they did not. When I went in to see where they were, the girl was very rude to me, like it had been my fault, while the owner sat in the corner on her computer, ignoring the problems that were happening. Finally the dresses came and Brides a la Mode pretended that no alterations were needed even though the dress barely fit my upper body. The dresses were finally in our hands 2 days before the wedding.

I am a business major and customer service is one of the most important things to keep customers. Brides a la Mode lacks it. The owner was rude and didn't care that they had made a MAJOR mistake. No compensation for this MAJOR inconvienence was given, not even an apology. I do NOT recommend them at all unless you want to give the bride a headache and have her worrying about getting the right dresses.

Great place to start your planning. Lots of resources and unique ideas. These ladies make you feel comfortable and are very helpful.

You guys were great, i recommend newly engaged couples to brides ala mode all the time what a great and comforting place i will have to e-mail you one of our wedding pictures! Thank you for everything.
