We hired BRIDEface Richmond for hair and makeup services for our May wedding, and the entire experience was fantastic. Jonye and Leslie did an amazing job. Everyone looked beautiful, and the makeup stayed flawless throughout the day. My hair also held up perfectly from start to finish.
I especially appreciated how carefully they incorporated all of the feedback from my trial into my wedding day look. They took the time to make sure every detail was exactly what I wanted, and I couldn't have been happier with the final result.
The booking process was equally smooth thanks to Aaron, who was incredibly communicative and responsive throughout the planning process.
Overall, I highly recommend the BRIDEface Richmond team. They were professional, talented, and a pleasure to work with! -

Leslie and Jonye at BrideFACE were amazing! I booked this company to do hair and makeup for myself (bride), the wedding party, and the mothers. I also did a hair and makeup trial with them, which was great, as I was able to test out the look ahead of time. Despite having quite a few people, all with different looks and questions, they were both quick and steady with their work, ensuring everyone was in and out of the chairs on schedule.
The last hair and makeup was finished around 1, the party went until midnight, and despite rain, humidity, dancing, and more, everyone still looked amazing at the end of the night. The airbrushed makeup was incredibly light and the ability to do individual lashes was also a plus - we really appreciated the attention to detail and perks of working with this vendor.
Leslie and Jonye were also so easy and fun to talk to, we really appreciated their personalities and the light they brought to the day. I highly recommend their services! -

Starting with the trial, Leslie and Jonye were and incredible team to work with. They were so personable and I truly enjoyed spending the afternoon with them and looked forward to seeing them again on my wedding day. Jonye was the perfect makeup artist to work with because she is an incredible listener but also gives you the right push to get the best look. Leslie took one look at my dress and knew what hair I wanted before I even said it. I left the trial during a torrential thunderstorm and my hair and makeup still held for hours. The day of the wedding they were just as incredible and my bridal party was in awe of their efficiency! My hair and makeup lasted all night and I can say the same for all of my bridesmaids! BRIDEface is an incredible team and I would recommend them to everyone! -

Aaron and Lara were awesome to work with and have great senses of humor. My bridesmaids and family had so much fun with them. I am not particularly well versed in makeup or hair styling and had great difficulty articulating/deciding the look I wanted or if it was even possible to create my vision. Aaron and Lara were both so patient with me at my bridal trial and were so receptive to any and all feedback I gave. Even when our timeline got a bit pushed back the morning of my wedding, they kept their cool and ensured everything went smoothly. Not only did they bring my vision to life, but after several full cries and dancing all night, my hair and makeup incredibly stayed in place! They truly make magic. -

Leslie and Jonye were SO great to work with on my wedding day! Not only are they great at what they do, but they're just fun to be around! Exactly the energy you want on a big day :) Seven of us got ready in my hotel room wedding morning, and Jonye and Leslie were right on time with everything we needed. The moms were worried their hair and makeup wouldn't stay, but I assured them they were wrong! Everyone looked incredible all night long (even through the 35mph wind gusts during my outdoor ceremony haha!) I can't recommend them highly enough! You will be in great hands! -

The absolute best!
When looking for a hair and makeup artist I didn't know where to start, but I am SO glad my wedding planner (Marylee Marmer) suggested BRIDEface! Aaron and Lara are the best hair and makeup team, and not only did my hair and makeup but also did the hair and makeup of my 6 bridesmaids and my mom! Everything was so smooth and organized from start to finish -- they are so experienced, professional, and lovely. They were so well-organized with their time in getting everyone ready-- we got ready at Linden Row and they planned their arrival and everything so well. They made me feel gorgeous (and everything lasted the whole day!!), and my best friends and mom felt beautiful too, which was so important to me. I cannot recommend BRIDEface enough! I hired BRIDEface for hair (Leslie) and makeup (Aaron). Everyone who had their hair and makeup done felt so beautiful. Aaron and Leslie both gave me exactly what I was looking for. I made a few changes after my trials and they fully listened to and executed my changes. The looks photographed wonderfully and lasted all night! Aaron and Leslie were delightful to work with on the morning of. They were both so upbeat and positive. I hired Jonye and Leslie along with two other assistants. We had a large group of ladies owing to the fact that my husband had women in his bridal party and has three "mom" figures in his life and they handled it seamlessly. The team was fabulous and I can't say enough good things about Jonye's excellent communication, fairness, my very fun trial day with them at Leslie's home, and of course how great everyone looked the day of. My hair and especially makeup withstood tears, laughter, sweat, some wind and a few raindrops for over 8 hours. I looked and felt my absolute best! -

I contacted BRIDEface for hair services for my wedding and they recommended Lara. First - Aaron was extremely responsive and communicative. The one thing that I disliked was that they did not accept payment online. I am not sure if they do now, but it was a bit of a pain to send in a check (plus we weren't able to get the credit card points!) Anyway...Lara was amazing! She was super easy to schedule with and very flexible. I ended up having her highlight my hair before the wedding as well. It was really nice getting to build a relationship with her before the wedding day. She did a set of highlight a few months out to make sure that I liked them. I had her add some more and touch up my roots a few weeks out from the wedding - they were perfect! The wedding day hair trial was a great experience. She spent a lot of time making sure that it was what I wanted. I didn't want my fiancé to see my hair before the wedding so she took the style out and left a half updo since we were going out to dinner that night. I thought it was extremely thoughtful! Lara made me feel so fabulous on my wedding day! All of my bridesmaids that got their hair done by her also looked so beautiful! I was very impressed at how everyone's hair came out. I plan to continue to use Lara as my hairstylist from now on. She is wonderful! -

I booked Aaron and Leslie for hair and makeup for myself plus 4 others. They were fantastic. Everyone's hair and makeup held up all night and looked gorgeous. Aaron's makeup style is lovely; it looks good in person, not too heavy, but also enough for photos. He takes the time to do everything right. For example, he uses individual lashes, which makes a big difference.
I did the trial hair and makeup and am so glad I did because there were a few tweaks that needed to be made to make my look perfect (in my eyes). I would definitely recommend. -

Aaron and his team were amazing! My hair and makeup looked beautiful on my wedding day, as did all of my bridesmaids. Miranda did my hair and I got compliments on it all night. The team was timely, professional, and fun to hang out with, which is important because they're in your face for hours on the big day. Not to mention that all the usual add-ons (eyelashes, airbrush, etc.) were included in the base price, which I really appreciated. I would recommend BRIDEface to any Virginia bride!! -

Bravo brideface richmond!
I cannot say enough about BRIDEFace Richmond - especially Aaron and Courtney, who took care of me, four bridesmaids, my mom, and two nieces on my wedding day. Before the big day - Aaron and Courtney did a great test run - which was also fun. After wearing my trial makeup, I realized something wasn’t quite right - and Aaron and I had a new game plan. It was easy as that.
The day of the wedding, Aaron and Courtney showed up and set the tone for the day - which was easy, breezy fun. However, in addition to all my ladies- I had my 5-month-old son. So in addition to the fun - it was a little crazy. We were all getting ready in the kitchen - so not only were we dealing with tight spaces with folks grabbing snacks and what not- but also had to deal with us making bottles, me pumping, and whatever else was going on – the kitchen was hoppin! But Aaron and Courtney kept doing their thing and got us all done on time - despite the (good) chaos.
Not only did they do job and do it well - but they really made the entire first part of my wedding day a total BLAST. Whether you are a hair and make-up pro - or have no idea what you are doing (me!), this team will not do you wrong. They are professional, fun, and will start your special day in the best way possible! BRAVO!

Amazing Beauty Team
Where to begin?! First, let me just say that Aaron and Leslie are absolutely amazing. Not only are they highly talented at their craft, but they are both beautiful people inside and out. They are professionals at what they do, but even more importantly, getting ready with them was like getting ready with two dear friends. They made all of the girls feel at ease and laugh while we got ready. Aaron's make-up stayed all day through night long, and survived my ugly crying. My hair and my mom's hair is thick, heavy, and naturally kinky curly so I was skeptical about finding someone who can tame my hair for my special day. And boy, did we find her. Leslie not only mastered our hair, but also our bridesmaids hair which ranged from straight to extremely thick. I highly, highly, highly recommend BRIDEface Richmond. -

I am posting this on Thanksgiving because one of the things I am most thankful for is booking BRIDEface for my wedding! I had Aaron do the makeup and Leslie do the hair for myself and my 5 bridesmaids. They are both PHENOMENAL! My ceremony was held at a English-Tudor style mansion and so I wanted enough glam to match that vibe, but I still wanted to look like myself on my wedding day. Let me tell you, Aaron understood the assignment! I felt like an absolute queen. Leslie gave me the most beautiful and ethereal bun - that somehow lasted through TONS of twirling and dancing and even a lightsaber fight! Both of them were also able to customize looks for each of my bridesmaids to give them each a super unique look. And they looked absolutely stunning! I could go on gushing about the quality and beauty of their work, but I think I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
But the cherry on top of this incredible talent is what a joy it is to work with Aaron and Leslie. Both of them are such warm, kind, fun people who went out of their way to make me and my bridal party feel special. As anybody who has been part bridal party knows, getting ready the day of a wedding is a gauntlet. Why not spend it with people who will make you laugh, listen closely to your requests, and overall, just make you feel great about yourself? I very much underestimated the importance of the fact that hair and makeup is your first experience on your wedding day. It sets the tone for the day - will it be stressful and frustrating or will it be fun and relaxing? Luckily, my wedding planner (Christine with the Hive Wedding Collective) did not underestimate the importance of this, which is how I ended up with BRIDEface!
To begin, I coordinated with Aaron throughout the booking/scheduling process and he was probably the most helpful and responsive vendor I worked with. When my mom and mother-in-law both changed their minds last minute about getting their hair done, he quickly responded to slot them in. The moms' also insisted they didn't want makeup done professionally, but when the day rolled around, both had questions about what colors to use and how to apply their makeup, which Aaron not only answered, but offered to let them use his pallets. I am pretty sure he and my mom are besties at this point. Aaron even helped my brother put a bow tie on my stuffed potato (long story...). This is what I mean when I say he makes everyone feel special. With me, he took so much time during our trial - which he was very flexible about scheduling around my hectic work schedule - to explain how different colors or products would look. He walked through my various inspo pics and explained how that would translate in real life. And he was just really fun to hangout with throughout!
Leslie was also an absolute gem. She too, spent time at my trial session helping my mom, who has very fine, curly hair, figure out how best to prep it for her updo. Leslie really proved she can work with any type of hair and make it look beautiful. Whether it was my mom's curly hair, my MIL's bob cut, my long, fine hair, or my bridesmaid's long, beautifully thick mane - Leslie can make you look like a goddess!
In sum, when I look back at my wedding day, getting ready was one of the highlights. We had an absolute blast and we looked amazing - if I do say so myself ;) - and this was entirely due to the hard work and good vibes from Aaron and Leslie. Do yourself a favor and book them! -

Aaron, Leslie and the rest of his team are beyond amazing!! I did 2 other trials before meeting Aaron and I just couldn't find someone that I loved. Aaron and Leslie completely knocked it out of the park!! Aaron's team came out to our venue to do hair and makeup for our group of 10 bridesmaids and family members. They kept us on schedule and made sure everyone was absolutely thrilled with the result. We could not have been happier or more confident with our final looks. Best Wedding Hair & Makeup in RVA!! Aaron is a fantastic make up artist and he knows how to make you look your best without being over the top. Two of the things that set Aaron apart from ever other artist is #1 the air brush foundation & #2 individual false eyelashes vs the more common and not as appealing strip of false lashes. Leslie was my hair stylist and she is nothing but amazing! I switched what I wanted last minute and she didn’t even blink an eye, She’s a true professional. Everyones hair looked amazing and she takes the necessary time with every curl to insure they won’t fall out. I couldn’t recommend Aaron and Leslie more, they felt more like friends/family though out the process than someone that you hired for hair & makeup. -

BRIDEface was a dream team! Aaron, Dayna, and Michelle are experienced, professional and easy to work with. I spoke with Aaron for the initial process and he made me feel so comfortable talking through the services needed and answering all my questions. I met Dayna and Michelle for my hair and makeup trial a few months before the wedding. It was great talking through how I envisioned the wedding look and they gave me full confidence in how it would complement my dress and the venue. Leading up to the wedding, I wanted some adjustments to the makeup and Dayna was super flexible in incorporating those notes. Michelle was extremely helpful in providing insights to the wedding veil and hair piece I wanted to complete the look. I very much enjoyed my experience with BRIDEface Richmond. As a September 2020 bride, there was a LOT of unknown in regards to what my wedding would look like and Aaron and Karen were so accommodating to every change of plan leading up to the big day.
Karen was my makeup artist and I couldn't speak more highly of my experience with her. She was responsive, timely, knowledgeable, talented and just overall fun to be around. I was a ball of nerves the morning of my wedding and she completely put me at ease. I chose not to do a makeup trial (#covid) so Karen suggested I send some looks from Pinterest prior to the wedding so she could get some inspo. On the day of, Karen took the time to walk me through my desired look and ensure we were both 100% on the same page. I normally don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I really wanted to make sure it was a natural look that was very “me”. Boy, did she follow through! I LOVED my makeup. Can I keep those lashes forever?! I got so many compliments and even my bridal party asked for her name, so they could refer her to other friends.
I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for a makeup artist in RVA!!

I was in a wedding where they used airbrush makeup and I loved how it looked, and when I found a few artists/companies that did it, I looked at things like cost/value (obviously), testimonials, personality - i got it all! Since COVID is a thing they put safety measures in place that protected both them and my girls, which made me feel so comfortable day-of. They are open to and happy to do changes to ensure everyone gets the look they want, which I was so appreciative of. Karen and Shayna were my makeup and hair artists - loved working with them!! Request them if you can, they're amazing!! -

I worked with Aaron, Leslie, and Jonye throughout my wedding experience. All amazing, talented, people who are so dependable and will get things done right! I (and my bridesmaids) never really wear much makeup and everyone left feeling so comfortable and beautiful! Leslie also did a perfect job with everyone's hair. I would choose them a million times over again :) They also traveled to Charlottesville at a super reasonable travel fee. -

I cannot say enough about Aaron and how amazing he is to work with. From the moment I made first contact with him all the way up through my wedding day, he was incredibly responsive and helpful - not to mention just being a blast to work with! I had a smaller wedding party, and where other MUAs wouldn’t work with you (or at least come to your location) if you didn’t have at least 6 people, he never batted an eye about having just 3. He made me and my girls look gorgeous on my big day...and the look lasted all night! He knows what looks best based on each person’s features, and he plays to that without going overboard. He really listens to what you’re looking for and then works his magic. I can’t recommend him enough to all the brides out there! Thank you Aaron! -

I am BEYOND grateful to have found BRIDEface Richmond. When I began to look for hair and makeup artists, I really didn't know where to start- I did my research online and I loved everything about what BRIDEface had to offer. They truly do a wonderful job enhancing your natural beauty while listening to exactly what vision you have and the look you want to create. Our wedding was in Madison, VA (they travel). Their rates are extremely reasonable, and communicating with Aaron to get the ball rolling was easy and wonderful.
My BRIDEface team was everything I could ever have hoped for; each artist was remarkable, and a class-act.
Jonye was my makeup artist and she was absolutely incredible. I seriously cannot speak highly enough about her. First of all she's unbelievably talented, delightful, sweet, and kind, and made both the trial and the day of the wedding so much fun. Our trial was amazing. I do love makeup so I had a certain look in mind (soft and romantic but a bit glamorous), and she listened to every little detail. I'll mention here that I have some blemishes and oily skin/eyelids which were concerns of mine-- but with the airbrushing and techniques/makeup she used, it really stayed all night and then some, with flawless coverage. Seriously impressive.
Communicating with her after the trial was amazing and she thoroughly addressed anything I wanted to adjust; for only spending time together once before the wedding, she truly made me feel comfortable and empowered in creating my look. Fast forward to the wedding day, and she absolutely nailed each and every little detail and aspect that I had asked for. It was genuinely everything I had hoped for. She created the most beautiful looks for my bridesmaids, too-- all my girls looked beautiful and dazzling! I am sincerely so thankful for Jonye- her work is phenomenal and she is an absolute gem.
Shayna was my amazing hair stylist who created my stunning half up- half down look; I was very worried about my hair because it has a tendency to be flat/thin or lack volume, but you would never have known because of the look that she created. From the trial to the wedding day, she listened to every detail I wanted and did an incredible job, not to mention that she is so much fun and made getting ready a blast! Because I asked at the trial, she recommended hair extensions to purchase, and then put them in for me/worked with them for the wedding day which something totally new for me, and was so wonderful to have done. All of the different looks that she created for my bridesmaids were unique and romantic. She listened to what each of my bridesmaids wanted while still staying in that soft, dreamy aesthetic that I had envisioned. I was so fortunate to have Shayna; she is a spectacular hair stylist all-around!
Sidebar, I was also lucky enough to have Aaron and Leslie do my makeup and hair at my dear friend's wedding as well, and they were both sensational. But I'll leave that full review to my friend. :)
Any chance I get, I'm recommending BRIDEface RVA. Amazing people, and complete perfection! Love them!! -

As a bride who was from out of state, booking a makeup artist on a portfolio and reviews scared me a little. I spoke to a few, but the second I got off the phone with Aaron, I knew he was the one! The booking process was incredibly easy and he was very thorough. I then went in for my trial and WOW! I was having the hardest time explaining what I wanted, but somehow he totally got it and hit the nail on the head. After talking it out, we came out with a final game plan. The day of he was incredible...he totally calmed my nerves and made the getting ready process so fun. And my makeup was to die for! Perfect in every way! Not too heavy, but still made a statement. I worked with Aaron of BRIDEface Richmond for my wedding in Williamsburg in December 2017. I found him through diligent research -- BRIDEface had exactly the style I was going for: classic and memorable. I spoke with Aaron over the phone and email and I knew he was perfect for me. Throughout the whole experience, he made me feel relaxed and in great hands. We did our preview and he listened to exactly what I wanted, and added his professional expertise to make me look like a dream. We coordinated so easily -- he was responsive and accommodating. On the day of my wedding, I looked fabulous -- and so did my mother, bridesmaids, and mother in law, all thanks to Aaron. I looked so good the day of my wedding that I genuinely cried when I saw the final result. As an added bonus, he made us laugh the whole way through. Aaron, Leslie and Jonye were amazing for my wedding. They made our wedding day so much FUN! We had the best laughs getting ready and I didn't want them to leave. First of all they are all so talented individually and they truly listen to each person and personalize the look. They are professional and very timely with scheduling. The bridal party all loved their looks - everyone was happy. They really know how to make each person look beautiful without looking done-up and they put everyone at ease by keeping things lighthearted throughout the day. Hair and makeup stayed in place, even for my trail it lasted the next day for my dress fitting. I would definitely recommend them for any occasion! -

I highly recommend working with BRIDEface for your hair and makeup needs on your wedding day! Aaron was an absolute dream to work with, both during scheduling and on my wedding day! I’ve never felt prettier in my life! BRIDEface is reasonably priced, when compared to other hair/makeup companies in Richmond, and they were willing to work with me to find time for my trial, since I don’t live in Richmond anymore so had really limited availability to fit it in. Aaron and his team made it through 6 bridesmaids and 5 family members plus me with time to spare, and they made each of the women feel totally at ease and gorgeous! -

Sheree Sent on 06/07/2018I had a great experience with BRIDEface! Aaron was very quick to respond to my emails. Karen was our makeup artist and did myself and three out of my four bridesmaids. At the trial, she really listened to what I did and did not want to look like. I hardly ever wear makeup, and when I do, end up not liking how it looks after a few hours. I really wanted a professional who would make me look beautiful and not have to think about it the whole day, and that's exactly what I got. On the wedding day, Karen was ready and waiting for us on site. She handled it very professionally when one of my girls was finicky about her look and made multiple changes. And when I decided my lipstick was too dark and asked to change it, she took it in stride and made me feel better about asking. We all looked great all night and never needed any touch ups. It was definitely worth the price (which was comparable to other quotes I got) for the pampering and piece of mind.

He is incredibly personable, but knew when to put his foot down to ensure bridesmaids didn't choose colors that would...stand out too harshly :) My make up turned out wonderful, for someone who is lucky to put a powder on a few times a week, he made me look polished in my photos without taking it over the top. Aaron was extremely prompt with email communication, and I received a phone call the week of the wedding to discuss last minute details. On my big day, they made to sure to keep everything running smoothly, and we even finished a little early! My make-up was flawless and lasted the entire day. Aaron is a perfectionist, and it shows in his work. All of my bridesmaids and my mother were extremely happy with the results, and Aaron and Jonye really listened to what each person wanted to achieve with their look. Leslie was amazing getting seven updos done, everything from a classic chignon to a funkier fishtail braid! My hair was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I received many compliments on both my hair and make-up throughout the day. My husband also loved it, and said I still looked like "me".
