Great experience. Extremely accommodating. After visiting other shops they gave the experience I had imagined, making "saying yes to the dress" a memorable day.
I found the dress of my dreams at Bridal Chateau thanks to their wonderful staff and amazing selection!
I got my dress and veil here and they were so kind to me. All the other shops in town gave me a hard time because I had such a short engagement, but not Bridal Chateau - they made me feel like a princess. And then when I broke my foot 6 weeks before my wedding and one day before my first fitting, they were so good about figuring out how to fix the dress while I was standing on one foot and leaning on a scooter, crying because I felt so sorry for myself. I loved everyone I worked with there.
Great selection of dresses and loved the one I purchased. Everything came in on time as expected and service was good. Was disappointed in fact that they would not let you take any photos in dresses until you purchased it, which is something I did not come across at any other place I looked for dresses. Also, they charge $50 to hold on to the dress for you until ready for alterations which felt like nickel and diming based on how expensive the purchase of a dress is. Overall good quality though.
I am the third woman in my family to buy my dress from Bridal Chateau and It was worth it. I worked with Ashley. She was helpful, kind, and patient. She knew exactly the kind of dress I was looking for once I started describing it. When I decided on the dress, she took my exact measurements and told me I fit a certain size exactly. I ordered that size to minimize any alterations (not sure if this method is suitable for everyone!). My dress fit perfectly! No alterations were needed other than inserting cups and adding a bustle. The bustle alteration was a bit overpriced, considering it ended up being some plastic ties on the train. But overall, positive experience.
I looked at so many dress shops in the Buffalo area, and I must say, the dresses at Bridal Chateau are DIFFERENT. These dresses seemed much less of the big-box experience and more delicate, pretty lace that I couldn't find at other shops that featured sequins and faux jewels. I found a lovely Maggie Sottero dress here that I couldn't have gotten anywhere else in the area.
The staff here were very welcoming and helpful. I got personal attention from the staff, unlike when you go to a David's Bridal or other bigger venue. When I came in, they even gave me a free box of pretty wedding earrings as a thank you gift just for checking them out, and when I purchased the dress I got a coupon for $500 off at Tuxedo Junction. The prices of dresses here were reasonable too.
Definitely look at Bridal Chateau if you are looking for a soft, lacey dress or just something different from what is in stock everywhere else.
On my initial appointment in August 2014 I found my perfect dress. My wedding date was August 1, 2015. The woman that I was assigned to was trying to force me into buying the dress that day because it "takes 6 months at least for a dress to come in". I was not comfortable with committing that day and went to some other dress shops to try things on. The dress that I loved was at bridal Chateau so I made an appointment to return. I finally bought my dress in November 2014. They called me in December to say that the dress was in and wanted me to pick it up. I explained that I did not want to keep it at my house for 8 months until my wedding. (the only reason it was ordered that early is because they said i needed to). They said they would keep it there for a $50 dollar storage fee. I paid the storage fee but I feel they should have kept it there for free since i spend almost 2 thousand on the dress.
When i went back for my alterations they did a bustle. They charged me $89 dollars for the bustle. I didn't realize this at the time but all they did for $89 dollars was put plastic sale tags on my dress. By the end of the night on my wedding day all of the tiny plastic strings has broken and i had to carry my train around. I still cant believe they charge $89 dollars for plastic sale tags.
I had heard some very bad things about Bridal Chateau and even read some negative reviews, but they were the closest shop that carried Mori Lee gowns which I really wanted so I decided to check it out! I am so glad I did, from my first visit all the way through my final fitting they were great! They helped me find a gorgeous dress that I absolutely loved. I needed only minimal alterations but they were done perfectly. My gown was just what I had dreamed of and my experience with Bridal Chateau was a great one!
I had bought my dress from another store (David's Bridal), which was a huge mistake and a nightmare. When I finally got my dress, I knew I needed to get my bridesmaids dresses and alterations elsewhere. Bridal Chateau was a dream, all seven of my bridesmaids got their dresses there and they all fit beautifully the day of the wedding. My dress had a corset back put in and it added the shape I wanted for my wedding dress. The staff was so friendly and I am so appreciative of what they did. The alterations were expensive, but so worth it. I would recommend Bridal Chateau to any bride.
After browsing designers online I knew that I wanted a Maggie Sottero dress. I saw an amazing ballgown at a bridal show that was put on by Bridal Chateau and I fell in love, although I felt it might be a little over the top for my style. Fast forward a few months and my mom, maid of honor and future mother in law went with me to go dress shopping at Bridal Chateau. From the dress area the view is not exactly where I imagined I would say yes to the dress. However, we picked a few dresses and my consultant helped me try them on. I ended up falling in love with the previous Maggie dress I saw. I ordered the dress size based on the chart I was shown. My dress came in 8 months later and it was too small. Not like "you gained a few pounds too small" but "your bones need to be shrunk" too small. I was disappointed and the stylist that helped me try on the dress did not help. She was new and had no idea what she was doing. She told me that my only options were to reorder the dress or have it altered, which is not exactly what you want to be told a few months before your wedding. My saving grace was the seamstress that came in (I wish I could remember her name). She assured me that she would make everything perfect. After adding a beautiful corset to the back the dress fit me like a glove. My dress ended up being perfect but I feel a little irked that the process had a few bumps along the way. I would 100% recommend their seamstress though - she was a lifesaver.
I went to David's Bridal first and had a great experience. They had a ton of dresses and my consultant was great. But since it was the first place I looked I wanted to check out a few more bridal shops to see what else was out there.
I was not happy with Bridal Chateau. I will say they do have nice fitting rooms but they do not let anyone help you try dresses on but consultants. I get that they are trying to make sure nothing happens to the dresses but Davids let my sister help me try dresses on and i was much more comfortable that way.
While trying on dresses and getting a feel for what i was looking for the consultant was choosing dresses she thought i would like (which I like that she did this it was helpful since she was familiar with the dresses available and i wasn't). The part i did not like was that she was saying things like "oh this dress will help make your waist look really small." Never once did i say i was looking for a dress to make my waist look small so i felt that was somewhat insulting. My wedding dress was a size 4 and the consultant made me feel much bigger than I am so i was getting paranoid trying on dresses thinking "maybe i do look too big in this?" I have always been very comfortable in my body but this consultant was making me second guess that. There was a dress i liked that had sample sizes 4 and 10. she brought back the 4 and said the 10 would be too big but the 4 will never fit so when i put it on she just wont zip it. I was confused since all the dresses that were a size 4 fit me very well and when i said that she offered to try to zip it and said"oh wow i guess it does fit" like she couldn't believe it.
Needless to say, I did not come back for another appointment and would not recommend working with them. I didn't feel they had a large selection anyway.
The consultants at Bridal Chateau are so helpful and they truly understand what it means for a bride to find THE DRESS!!! The process was seamless and they took care of the bustle right on site. My dress was beautiful and my husband really loved it too!! The best part is that they have so many timeless pieces. I think in 20 years, when we look back on our wedding night, I'll still love the dress the way I did the day I found it. I highly recommend them for your wedding dress hunt!
My dress was wonderful. My mother and I were pampered while at Bridal Chateau. We loved our consultent, Sam. Sam took thetime to listen to us and helped find the perfect dress!
However, I would recommend having alterations done elsewhere, as alterations were a struggle for us. We had to ask several times that additional alterations be made, as they were not done corectly the first time around.
My wedding dress was absolutely perfect, and the staff here was amazing! From the initial appointment to the final alteration, they made the whole process easy and fun.
Decent prices. Would be nice if pictures can be taken before dress is purchased as everywhere else I went including small boutiques allowed photos and even provided designer name.
Beth and her entire staff were outstanding! My dress was the perfect price and perfect fit! I loved coming in to always be greeted with such friendly faces! I will miss the experience but will always remember it fondly!
