I didn't think the salespeople were pushy at all, and felt like I was treated well there. I loved my gown, too.

I absolutely loved the dress that I found at Betsy's. They were extremely strict about who could help you however. There are bridal dress consultants and bridesmaids dress consultants and each one aren't able to answer questions or help you with the other. That got a little frustrating especially when calling Betsy. I also had to make an appointment in advance to pick up the bridesmaids dresses. When I went in for my first dressing fitting, I put the dress on and they started pinning the dress - then decided to ask me if I was going to lose any more weight. When I told them I had hoped to lose 5 more pounds they told me they were unable to do the alterations until that happened because 5lbs would drop me an entire dress size and that I'd need a smaller bra (this didn't end up being the case at all). I wish they would have asked me in advance so I could save myself the 1.5 hr trip... it all worked out in the end but I was a bit frustrated with them during all of it.

I went during a sample sale. After waiting two hours in line we finally got in 30 minutes before they were about to close. I figured that they would try and rush me through the whole process but boy was I wrong. The salesperson was extremely helpful and very patient with me. I ended up finding a dress that I never would have picked on my own and I absolutely love it.

Despite some apprehension I had going in, Betsy's was absolutely great to work with. I found the dress of my dreams there and in my budget. My consultant never tried to steer me to more expensive dresses that were out of my price range, yet I never felt bad about not being able to spend more. There were plenty of dresses in the $1000-2500 price range, although there are also plenty of gorgeous, designer dresses well over that. Betsy Robinson's carries her own exclusive line of dresses (which I purchased from) that are reasonable, gorgeous, and not something that you see in every bridal magazine. My only complaint would be the cost of their alteration charges (although I loved my seamstress, Rosa, amazing!). They can be pricey, so ask up front what each charge will be.

The best thing about this bridal store is that they have someone answering calls on the days they are closed! I was able to set up an appointment to come in and look at dresses. They are respectful and helpful! When I filled out the entry card I was surprised to see the prices ranges... because none of them where close to where I was looking! The lady took me to a separate place where dresses could be bought off the rack at a much lower cost. And this is where I found my dress!

I found my dream dress at Betsy Robinson's. I am a fuller figure girl and I was a little skeptical that I would find anything there for me. Boy was I wrong. They may not have all of the sizes available to try on but they do have larger gowns to help you make your choice. The girls at the shop were great. We did such a good job with the initial sizing that I needed only minimal alterations. I loved my experience at Betsy Robinson's.

I don't even know where to start. When I bought my dress at Betsy Robinson's my sales girl, Estelle was FABULOUS-very sweet, professional and honest which was so refreshing. Estelle was not pushy or trying to make a sale that day, but wanted to make sure I was content and happy with my choice and even went so far as to tell me to think about it and make sure my choice was really what I wanted.
I fell in love with my dress and ordered it that day. YAY!
When the dress came in 6 months later I went for my first fitting and I fell in love with my dress all over again! The seamstress Rosa took measurements and I specifically told her to not touch anything except to take in at the bust as my dress was strapless and continued to fall down as it was entirely too big in the bust.
I went back for my second fitting two weeks later and it didn't fit AT ALL. It was entirely too tight in the bust and waist and too my surprise there were snags all over the front of my beautiful and not to mention $3,000 gown!!! The assistant who happens to be Betsy's Daughter told me that Betsy's "has special machines to get the snags out". She told me this AFTER she told me to excuse her cigarette breath as she had just smoked her first cig of the day-real classy right??? All this while wearing a beat up on black tank top and dirty old flip flops. Eww!
So I go back for my THIRD fitting and the dress is a mess still. The hem line was too short, dress too big, MORE snags than before and there was bunching in the waste of extra material that came out of no where. The seamstress told me it would be an additional cost to get rid of the bunching material AFTER I had already paid over $300 for alterations.
So I go back for my FOURTH fitting and yet again-the dress was a mess.
In the end I went to Betsy Robinsons for count them SEVEN FITTINGS! Finally at the end they had another seamstress work with me for the last fitting and she FINALLY got it right. The snags never came out but I was just so sick and tired of fitting after fitting and dealing with such unprofessional and rude people I just wanted to take my dress and get out of there.
The only one who showed any concern for my situation was the manager Toni and Estelle who learned of the situation at the second to last fitting.
So i went for 7 fittings and five out of the 7 I stood there in my wedding dress which I grew to absolutely HATE crying my eyes out. One of the fittings Betsy herself walked right on by and didn't even stop to see what was going on.
I would STRONGLY advise future brides to not even step foot in that store. The associates are rude, unprofessional and wouldn't know the word CLASS if it bit them on the butt. I wish I had seen the REAL Betsy Robinsons before I continued giving them my business.
Good luck!

Run in the opposite direction!!! There were only two horrible experiences during my whole wedding planning process and this was one of them. First, in choosing a dress, I was rushed in and out, and hurried by the very unhelpful staff. I was actually steered away from more expensive dresses for some bizarre reason, when I expressed interest in looking. Then, the wrong measurements were taken, and when my dress came in, I was told it didn't fit because I had gained weight (when in fact I had lost 15 lbs!!!). The staff was rude and condescending. At the very last minute, Betsy Robinson herself came in to try to save the day, but by that point, they had left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would most definitely recommend all bride's stay clear of this place! The only time I cried during my whole wedding experience was here.

My first appointment at Betsey Robinson went really well as I was fotunate to have Estelle assist me in trying on dresses. I ended up picking one of the dress that she had selected for me that I would have never choosen on my own. It was beautiful. Working with Estelle was great when we could set an appointment with her. Many times I would work my schedule around her only to show up and find out she was out, working with another client or unavailable. Even when she set the appointments. Apparently you are very important as a prospect but after that you get whomever is available. My very first appointment, I invted my mom to attend. We were both very excited as it was to be a very special mother-daughter moment. We arrived to find out Estelle was off for the day. We were assigned an unfriendly woman who barely said 10 words to me even as I tried to engaged her in conversation. She also had just returned from a smoke break! Who wants an unfriendly person who reaks of smoke touch her dress! My mother was appalled by her behavior and it really dampened the mood. We ended the appointment let down. The second appointment we requested Estelle again and were lucky to get her. After the appointment, we had Estelle make our next appointment. I had to take vacation time in order to accomodate her schedule but after the smoker, I did not want to take any chances.... At the third appointment, no Estelle. She had a new client so we got the owner's daughter. She was fairly nice but advised us to keep the dress pinned until the wedding even though their instructions (which we found later) noted that these pins should be removed due to tearing.
Overall I have mixed feelings. I got a great dress for a great price (I got a discount because I found it cheaper online) and the timing of the alterations went fine but were costly.

Betsy Robinson's was a joy to work with. The sales staff were very knowledgable and they have an extensive selection of dresses varying in range relative to price. Rose was excellent in her non-pushy approach when she was having me try on dresses. I had my alterations done there as well and the seamstress worked with me regarding the bustle to get it just right. It was a truly A+ experience. The only complaint I have is the cost of the alterations seemed on the high side to me.

I fell in love with my gown the moment they brought it into the room. It was after going to many other salons (4) and after having tried on all the dresses I had picked myself. My dress was selected by the consultant after I thought I was walking out empty-handed. They were having a trunk sale, and this was one of the dresses in the trunk sale. Because of that, I got 10% off, which was phenomenal. The alterations were perfect as well-- I never once had to worry about my dress falling off or slipping or anything. They were very concerned with good customer service. At one of my appointments, they were running 10 minutes late, and they apologized profusely and Betsey herself assisted me on that appointment. If you like good service, go here!

I loved my dress and the bridesmaids dresses...the prices are a little high but worth it. The owner is a very nice lady and most of her staff was too. Some of the girl's that work there were not as nice which made the overall experience a little less perfect.

Got my designer dress cash and carry for less than $500. Nothing to complain about here although I did not feel I got personalized attention from the sales lady. For that price What should I expect right?
