everything about bateau is amazing. the staff, the gowns, the atmosphere. was so incredibly pleased with their service and also their follow up. best place in anchorage for brides to go to find a wedding dress!Bateau Bridal Boutique's reply:

I had scheduled an appointment at Bateau Bridal and they seemed eager and responded promptly to my inquiries. I ended up cancelling once I found out they were having a sample dress sale and am so glad I attended that! I ended up falling in love with the 3rd dress I tried on and was able to take it home that day. The women at Bateau Bridal are fabulous, I wanted to be friends with them :) would definitely recommend!Bateau Bridal Boutique's reply:

User2411870 Sent on 11/05/2015In Alaska, there is no where else to find your gown! I was treated like royalty. I was not pressured to buy (although I did). I was able to be the only bride in the studio with two lovely ladies catering to my every desire in my gown. The studio itself is cute and well-maintained. The gowns are very well made and all perfect to every stitch. -

Shannon Sent on 06/12/2015Tara and Lauren are amazing! We had so much fun trying on dresses and I felt so relaxed and comfortable because you are the only bride in the shop. They genuinely care about finding the right dress for you - not just telling you how great you look in each one to make a sale. They do not pressure you to buy the dress right then with threats that "it might not be available" like many other shops in town, but instead give you a realistic timeline of when you should purchase. Lauren was constantly running around the shop grabbing veils and accessories for me to try and making great suggestions. I cannot say enough good things about Bateau Bridal, they are by far the best dress buying experience I had and really give you that "Yes to the dress" moment. -

Jessica Sent on 12/11/2014This was the best bridal boutique in Anchorage Alaska hands down. I had a lot of trouble with the other vendors in the area but this Boutique provided not only a relaxing and fun atmosphere but the most interesting, unique, and classic dresses I have seen.

I was very excited to go dress shopping and came in with an open mind. My experience was far from amazing at Bateau. From being told we cannot touch anything to being told to not even look at the dresses in a certain room because we couldn’t afford them. I asked multiple times to try on a certain dress and after the 5th time, the stylist let me try it on with a stern warning of “it’s definitely not in your size”. I was not allowed to try on sleeves that went with one dress because my arms “wouldn’t fit”. Everything was about budget too. Around 20 minutes before my appointment ended, it was a fight of trying to try on more dresses because the stylist was more concerned about the people coming in after me and the timeline.
After leaving the store with nothing but tears in my eyes, my recommendation is if you do have to go to Bateau, make sure you are skinny and have a huge budget. What a waste of my time, energy, and self-confidence. Extremely disappointed but couldn’t give it 0 stars.
