The Antrim 1844 exceeded our expectations! They have a wonderful staff that not only catered to me and my groom, but to all of our wedding guests! Their attention to detail and responsiveness made the entire weekend so special! Our wedding coordinator, Beth, was incredible - her attention to detail, responsiveness, and caring nature made our wedding that much more amazing!

At the reception dinner, the service and food was absolutely incredible - our gusts were complimenting our choice of venue over and over. Many of them felt that not only was it our wedding, but a little vacation for them as well! I couldn't imagine having been married anywhere else!

Originally we had Daniel as our wedding coordinator for over a year. One day he left/was let go, and it wasn't too long before our wedding day. We were then given Beth as our coordinator and she was amazing. Given the situation in the fact that she came in at the tail end of things she was on top of it all. She covered everything we had a question about and if she didn't know the answer she would e-mail us no more than 2 days later. We are so happy that Beth was our wedding coordinator because in the end everything turned out beautifully. The chef at the Antrim, Michael, was amazing. We heard nothing but rave reviews about all the food we served. The day of our wedding it was chilly out, and the band wasn't going to be set up in time for us to have the ceremony inside, so we ended up doing it outside. The Antrim was so helpful, they put heaters and had hot chocolate for our guests to help with the cold. We couldn't have picked a better place.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT ANTRIM! From the moment we first visited this place to the after wedding check out, everything was SUPERB and topnotch! While I was planning our wedding, like any bride-to-be, I would read tons of reviews of vendors and always wonder if they were ever exaggerating about the vendor. And if you are, trust me when I say Antrim could not be beat! Like everyone else has said, guests were blown away by the food, the service, and the beauty of the property. Many have complimented us saying that it was BY FAR, one of THE best weddings they had ever gone to! Even with the distance (and a lot of my guests were from VA) they said it was totally worth it! The food, incredible! Where can you go and completely customize your menu to include split lobster tail wrapped around a crab cake?! If you are a foodie like me and want to impress your guests, honestly, what better way than with fresh tuna wontons, duck egg rolls, scallops, and thats just to name the h'ordevres! Im talking so much about the food because I know when I was reading reviews, I really wanted to know what was included in the price and packages and no one ever discussed the food per say, except that it was great! So that was just a little tidbit I wanted to throw in.

But honestly, they make you feel so special and so important there and what better day than your wedding day to be treated so fantastically?! I am a part-time wedding planner and could go on and on about how fabulous they are. But just trust me when I say, you will NOT REGRET having your wedding here!!!

And Elizabeth, such a Godsend! She was absolutely amazing through the entire planning process and could not be more thankful to have worked with her! Shes the sweetest person ever and will genuinely care about you and your wedding!

There are not enough stars to give this venue. I honestly could not imagine anyone wanting more than what the Antrim 1844 provides. What a truly fantastic venue. The food was far and beyond our highest expectations, the mansion and garden itself is breathtaking and the people who work there really put their heart and soul into your day. Our wedding coordinator who works there, Elizabeth Fortier, is one of the sweetest, caring and most genuine people you will ever be lucky enough to meet. She truly went above and beyond for us. It brings me to tears just thinking about it. She does not treat the weddings she does as just another event, she looks upon them as that couples one special day, and boy does she make you feel that way. There really arent words. From the venue itself, to the food, to the staff, the the open bar, you really cannot do better!

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Antrim 1844. The first time we visited I fell in love with it. The atmosphere, the staff and service were impecable. The garden was breathtaking and I knew that was where I wanted to be married. Luckily the weather cooperated with us and we were able to have our ceremony outside and it was everything I had dreamed of. Our wedding coordinator was Elizabeth Fortier and she was amazing. She was easy to keep in touch with and she answered all my crazy questions. The day of the wedding went perfectly. The only crisis we had (my train getting dirty before the ceremony) was quickly fixed by Elizabeth and the magic of club soda! The food there truly lives up to all the reviews. I've never had wedding food that tasted that fantastic before, it was truly incredible, and I think all of our guests' cleaned plates attested to that as well.

We knew that Antrim was the perfect place for our wedding from the moment that we stepped on the property. Our wedding could not have been more picture perfect, and the staff at Antrim made everything run so smoothly. We also signed an exclusivity contract for the day of our wedding, meaning that the restaurant was closed and only our guests were able to book rooms on site, which made the day so wonderful and private. The weather was perfect, the gardens were gorgeous and in bloom, and it could not have been better. Elizabeth Fortier was our coordinator, and she was an absolute lifesaver who made sure that our day was flawless. I simply cannot thank her enough for the huge amount of work that she did leading up to our wedding and over the wedding weekend, as it made everything go as perfectly as possible. She immediately took charge of any potential issues that arose over the weekend and made sure that they were resolved asap. She is truly one of my favorite people ever now, and I feel that I owe her so much for making our day so perfect.

Having the exclusivity contract, as well as having both our ceremony and reception at Antrim made everything so easy since we did not have to go anywhere all day, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone. All of the staff at Antrim are so helpful and kind, and they really know what they are doing when it comes to making weddings go off without a hitch. The food was wonderful as well, and it was great to work with Chef Gettier in the menu planning process. The beverage manager Luis was great to work with as well, and he was very helpful in choosing wines, beers, etc to serve at the wedding. All in all, Antrim was the perfect place for our wedding and they helped ensure that we had a wonderful day.

Antrim 1844 was the venue we chose to have both our ceremony and reception. We had an outdoor ceremony in the garden under the arch and the reception was indoors in the Pavilion. Our wedding coordinator provided through the Antrim was Elizabeth Fortier and she was amazing! Getting closer to the date of the wedding, like any normal bride, I had tons of questions--A lot more questions than answers. She was more than willing to answer my "all hours of the day" questions and provided timely feedback for urgent matters. Everything flowed smoothly thanks to Elizabeth! I would recommend her to other couples looking for the same intimate/elegant feel for their wedding. The food was also amazing--Rave reviews from all our guests!

When starting to peruse reception venues my fiancé, Mike, and I truly had no idea what we were looking for. All we knew was that we wanted to be close to home (Frederick). So, I did the typical ‘look on The Knot, look on The Wedding Channel’ to find different venues in the area. We did not have a set date when we started to look at venues because we knew that it would be difficult for us to find our exact date prior to speaking with venues with only a little under a year before our wedding. (we started looking in Dec 2010 and knew that we wanted to get married in Fall 2011). When I called Antrim I knew NOTHING about it except for the online pictures. I thought "hmm, this looks nice." And then I was put into contact with Elizabeth. After many other phone calls to different venues and a few on site visits, Elizabeth was the FIRST person to congratulate me on my engagement (come on, this is a huge thing!!) and wanted to hear “our” story. From that very moment I was hooked because I knew she care and that we’d be taken good care of! That phone call was followed up by an initial in person meeting with Elizabeth to review the grounds (which I was even more hooked after that!) and gradually lead to a signed contract and the wedding planning began! Elizabeth was always so kind and caring to ALL (I had a lot) of questions. She provided suggestions for other vendors (DJ, hair, make up, etc), helped us work with our planned budget, promptly answered all emails and phone calls, and made sure that our day was just as imagined. We were thoroughly impressed by the quality and quantity of food provided for our party (110 people) and received an enormous amount of compliments from every one of our guests about the venue space and food. The only problem that we had was there was an issue with our decorator and Elizabeth in setting up the tables/table numbers. Basically, Antrim set up the tables correctly with the correct table arrangement and number of chairs, but our decorator accidentally reversed the table numbers. This was not double checked by Elizabeth so when our guests went to sit down there was a lot of confusion and rearranging of place settings to make everyone fit. Our guests stated that they didn’t mind or even notice, but for me, the bride, this was a huge upset because it took so much time and energy into making that seating chart work! Other than that – everything was perfect and I truly felt special on our wedding day. We also absolutely adored the free night’s stay in the Boucher Suite and complimentary breakfast at our door and with our family in the dining room the next day. It’s like you’re royalty and since we‘re waiting to take our honeymoon it was much needed! We highly recommend Antrim 1844 as a reception venue!! They’re above and beyond the rest!

I loved my wedding at Antrim 1844 and got tons of complimentsfrom my guests. Everything was perfect....the atmosphere, the food, and our "after wedding" get together at the pub. I must say though what really made my wedding experience the best was my wedding coordinator Lee. Lee was so calming and patient throughout everything. I would email her and she consistently returned my emails with the answers I needed the same day. She is amazing! I have always loved Antrim but having been to dozens of weddings throughout the past few years, I just think Antrim does an awesome job in comparison. The setting is beautiful, the employees are accomodating, what else do you need???? :)

Antrim 1844 was the PERFECT place to host our wedding. Our guests were so impressed with the property and the food was OUTSTANDING!!! Our coordinator Lee was extremely helpful throughout the entire process...We couldn't have been happier with her and the rest of the staff! It was the perfect day and I would highly recommend the Antrim 1844 to any bride looking for an elegant and beautiful wedding venue.

Our wedding at Antrim 1844 was absolutely flawless. Our wedding coordinator, Elizabeth was professional, responsive, organized and timely. She executed everything perfectly. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the food is amazing. I have gotten uncountable compliments on our wedding and how beautiful it was. We also hung out in the pickwick pub for a little after party and had a blast. Breakfast the next morning was also awesome. From start to finish it was amazing. I can't say enough about this place. We will for sure be returning for weekend getaways.

Everyone says that the perfect wedding isnt possible.... for us it totally was! We feel in love with antrim from the start and every time we came back to visit we fell even more in love with it!

The food/ service/ atmosphere/ and Lee was amazing! We never had to ask or worry about anything the enitre day/night. It was amazing, all of our guests were well fed and happy. Everyone couldnt stop raving about the venue, food and service. It really was so amazing! Thanks to lee and everyone at antrim for making it the best night and party of our lives. Our friends and family had such a blast and no complaints!

We were just married on June 11, 2011. We planned our wedding along with the wedding coordinators at Antrim for two years. They could not have been more helpful. The setting is beautiful, like no other. The food is amazing, not your typical catered meal, but a one of a kind specialized menu. Everyone at Antrim, espcially Lee our coordinator, helped to make it the best day of our lives. I completely and totally recommend this wedding venue, I can't imagine having had the wedding elsewhere.

Everything about our experience with them was amazing! The Food was INCREDIBLE and the place was GORGEOUS!! I am so glad we had our wedding here. We looked around alot and saw this place and fell in love! They were very helpful and made it the wedding of our dreams!

I have to say, Antrim 1844 is THE place to get married. Not only is the venue itself absolutely stunning, but the service is top notch. We had a four-star meal that everyone raved over and a luxurious place to stay at for our wedding night (guests included). They even arranged for a fabulous breakfast the next morning for us and our guests who stayed the night. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect send off!

The folks at Antrim really care about you and do everything to make your wedding day truly special. We were provided with our own wedding coordinator, Lee, and she was my personal savior. There were several minor issues through out the ceremony/reception (no fault of their own) and Lee handled them like a champ. She was super responsive and extremely helpful when it came to the planning portion as well. I gave her the opportunity to be creative (with centerpieces) and her and her staff totally rocked it out for us. They did such a beautiful job making our wedding look and feel the way we wanted it to. We really couldn't have done it (and kept our sanity) without her.

Three weeks later, our guests are still raving about the food, mood, and menu that Antrim helped us to create. I thought wedding planning was going to be so difficult, but I was wrong, and it's all because of their wonderful staff and superb service! The only minor complaint we had was regarding the room block contracts. They are a bit confusing, but Lee did her best to help us out and get everything squared away with. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience! I HIGHLY recommend working with Antrim! In general, weddings are expensive, but at Antrim, you get what you pay for and it's worth every dime!

My husband and I were recently married at Antrim 1844. We had much anticipated an outdoor Spring wedding in the beautiful gardens. Instead we had a torrential down pour with tornado warnings. And yet, it didn't matter one bit. It was the most beautiful day of our lives. We had wanted a backyard wedding, but neither of our houses would accommodate our large family. So we decided on Antrim...and that night it felt like home.
The mansion and glass ballroom are romantic and cozy. The grounds are breathtaking, even with thunder and lightning surrounding. The food was unbelievable (even my uncle who is a chef said it was the best steak he has had in some time.) The staff treated us like family, like that night was just as important to them as it was to us. From the waitstaff who had our 130 guests fed within minutes, to the valet crew who braved the storm with 7 umbrellas to ensure not a drop of rain met my silk dress... everyone went above and beyond for us.
And then there is Lee. Lee Thompson is fantastic. She is like the best friend every bride needs... Someone to give you direction, to help you make the thousands of little (and big!) decisions, and to make sure every detail is perfect. I never imagined I would be so relaxed on my wedding day, but with Lee I truly had nothing to worry about. Thank you, Lee, for everything.
We are so grateful to have found Antrim 1844, and would whole-heartedly recommend it to a friend. We can't wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary!
