PERFECTION! My wedding was the best day of my life. I would highly recommend choosing The Antrim. Trish was my wedding coordinator and she was so incredibly helpful and organized. She saved the day as my DJ did not show up and she called in a back up an hour and a half before the reception started! The food was amazing. I received compliment after compliment on how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was.
We contracted Antrim for everything - venue/reception, and rehearsal luncheon! First, it is a gorgeous wedding venue -- number one compliment we received from all of our guests. Not short of second place was that all of the food was spectacular and fresh. Our guests could not stop raving at how impressed they were with how Chef Spencer was able to cook each sea bass/sirloin to PERFECTION for 176 guests!! Truly amazing. If food is important to you, this is your place!
Most importantly, our coordinator Elizabeth was just the most kind and attentive person we could have asked for. We built a relationship with her for 1.5 years planning our wedding, and she was so patient with every email coming from me, my fiance, and my mother in law! She met with us as many times as we requested and was the perfect calm energy I needed for my wedding planning. Anytime we had a hurdle to jump over, she was right there with great alternatives to make all parties happy. She really knows what she's doing-- exceptional.
We would also like to commend Mark for being so kind and attentive on the day of our wedding during our cocktail hour. He kept bringing us drinks for the whole family and wedding party as we were taking pictures and is Elizabeth's right hand man.
The room booking situation is a little stressful so just plan early for that, in the end everything worked itself out for us. Also, just be very clear about how you want anything to be displayed! Antrim's style is to display small amounts of food at a time and to refill, so if you want a large dessert display to have all your desserts out at once for example, just be clear about that! Just small things we wished we knew ahead of time but overall still an incredible experience. They really try their best to accommodate any requests for your special day and to personalize your wedding.
Overall, we are very pleased with our wedding experience at the Antrim and cannot wait to return for our 1 year anniversary!
We had our wedding on Labor Day of this year and planned the wedding in less than 6 months all the way from Alabama. Trish Flora was our coordinator and made planning the wedding planning and the wedding day go as smoothly as possible. She was very responsive and answered all questions. The food was amazing and the rooms there are so elegant and luxurious. I loved how so much was included with this venue, making planning the wedding from afar with a short time limit easier with amazing results! After the ceremony, they make sure they have a bartender and hourdourves waiting for you before the cocktail hour to wind down and just take everything all in. The wait staff were attentive and polite, the bartender made amazing drinks all night. On the wedding day, they added so much to our original wedding decor to make the ambiance and decoration all the more beautiful. We had an amazing wedding and I thank Antrim 1844 for making that happen. We look forward to coming back for our anniversary or just a quick get away and remember our amazing wedding here.
From the minute I laid eyes on Antrim 1844 I feel in love with it! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The rose garden, the pool, the fountains, the mansion - everything is exceptionally beautiful. The pictures don't truly reflect how beautiful the property is. We decided to have our September wedding here and it was worth every penny.
We had several people coming from out of town and knew we would need to book a fair amount of rooms to accommodate everyone. Our wedding guests ended up occupying all but 3 rooms on the property - WoW. David was very patient when my father asked to see EVERY room on the property - YES all rooms in all the 13 houses. Lance at the front desk was also very patient and helpful when booking rooms.
Elizabeth was my wedding coordinator and she was phenomenal. Once I met her I knew Antrim was the perfect place for our wedding. Her calm demeanor put me at ease and made our special day go smooth and stress free. Even when my mother forgot the Ring Bearer's pillow, Elizabeth calmly stepped in and provided a plan B. All of my guest loved Elizabeth. The bridal party nicknamed Elizabeth the "magic lady" because she would show up with whatever you needed often times without you even asking for it. Elizabeth made sure we were on time for the scheduled events of the day. That in it's self deserves a metal, with a large wedding party of 15 people, and 4 children. Kudos to her staff as well, they were amazing!
Chef Spencer was great to work with and his food was unbelievable. Several of my guests commented to me that the food was the best meal they'd had in a long time! Our friends have asked us to get married again just so we can have another party at Antrim. I would highly recommend Antrim for a stress free, fun, beautiful and amazing venue.
We recently got married at the Antrim in August 2015, and everything about it was perfect! Trish Flora was our wedding coordinator, and she did a great job helping us organize everything from the day we booked our wedding a year prior all the way up til the day of. It was a nice perk to get a wedding coordinator automatically when you book your wedding at the Antrim. The food was great! My husband, who is a foodie, really enjoyed meeting with the Chef to help pick out the menu (but we were disappointed when we weren't able to try all of the hor dourves at our cocktail hour). The Antrim is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were all really great to help us make it a very special weekend. Make sure to ask about the accommodations if you would like your guests to stay at the Antrim for your wedding weekend. It is a little complicated in that you need to contract the houses a few months ahead of time and then you are responsible for filling those rooms with your guests. If you don't contract the rooms ahead of time then the rooms open to the public a few months before, and you may not get the houses you want. Overall, everything about the Antrim was perfect for our wedding!
I recently got married at the Antrim 1844, and I can honestly say, I would not have chosen any other venue. The Antrim was absolutely perfect! Trish Flora was our coordinator, and she was spectacular to work with, as she attended to every detail throughout the months leading up to the wedding, and of course on the wedding day. My entire wedding was tailored and planned according to how I envisioned it, and the Antrim staff far exceeded my expectations, weaving in their own touches of luxury and finesse. Everything from the excellent food, to the romantic ambiance, to the impeccable personable service, to the beautiful grounds was far beyond anything I ever dreamed of for my wedding day. The Antrim embodies classical, Victorian elegance that cannot be found anywhere else, so I would highly recommend this beautiful, historical venue to anyone. All of my guests are still raving about how amazing the wedding was, and they said they would certainly return on their own for a weekend getaway. I know my husband and I will be spending every anniversary at this magical place where we made the most incredible memories of our lives. Thank you to everyone at the Antrim for making my wedding day a fairy tale. Thank you for your commitment to fine dining, elegant tradition, and unsurpassed customer service. The Antrim now holds a very special place in my and my husband’s hearts.
Our wedding at the Antrim was flawless. Such a beautiful venue and the day was totally stress free. Our wedding coordinator, Beth, was so organized and made the day run smoothly. If you are looking for a beautiful garden wedding venue- this is your place! I was still able to add my own flare and made many of my own decorations but the staff at the Antrim set everything up for me. My guests would not stop raving about the servers and quality of the food- delicious! You won't make a mistake if you book your wedding here!
I got married here in late June and cannot say enough good things about it! Elizabeth was my wedding coordinator at the Antrim, and she is truly AMAZING! She is cool, calm, collected, and the most helpful person I've ever met. Any time I had a concern I could call or email her and she responded so quickly with an answer. She met with me on many occasions and made sure everything flowed perfectly. I was concerned about it raining on my wedding day, and it rained 4 inches! BUT all was well because Elizabeth recommended I get a tent just in case, which I did, which saved the day. I honestly could not have done it without her!
My fiance and I met with the Chef a few months before the wedding and decided what food we would have at the wedding, and then we had dinner at the Smokehouse Restaurant where they served us the meal- and the food is so delicious at the Antrim! I had 150 guests and SO many people mentioned how good the food was. Also, the bar in the mansion is open until 1AM, so after the wedding we went there and we had arranged to have "late night" food of sliders, pulled pork sandwiches, chips and guac, and pizza.
The scenery is perfect at the Antrim during any season, and there are several options for ceremony sites (elm tree, rose garden, etc). We had our reception inside pavilion and it was perfect. I hardly had to do any additional decorating aside from the centerpieces and ceiling drape because it is such a beautiful venue.
My now husband and I plan on going to the Antrim for dinner every year on our anniversary!
We selected Antrim 1844 for our Son and Daughter-in-law's Wedding because of it's beautiful and charming setting. We worked with Beth, Antrim's Wedding Coordinator, and she helped guide us through every detail of our Children's Wedding. Beth was super organized, sweet, and accessible. The result was an amazing "Storybook Like" Wedding Ceremony in the Formal Garden followed by a dinner and dance reception in their beautiful Ballroom. Dinner and Hor doerves were excellent!!! Hotel and wait staff were 100% professional and polite. We received compliment after compliment during the wedding and after!
I trusted Antrim to do a wonderful job...... and they did!!
I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planning experience--and a more beautiful wedding day! Beth, Elizabeth, and Trish were all a dream to work with! They were completely professional, detail-oriented, and as sweet as could be.
Chef Spencer Wolff did everything he could to accommodate various requests from my family, altering the menu to fit our vision perfectly, and the food was delicious. He even came out and shucked the oysters from the raw bar himself for guests!
There are a lot of cookie cutter wedding venues out there, but Antrim is not that. As I looked over my wedding day and took it all in, it truly felt magical.
Our wedding was at the Antrim last weekend and the entire experience was fabulous. Trish Flora and all of the staff at the Antrim were great to work with - they were friendly and accommodating and made the wedding planning process simple and fun. If you are looking for a "one stop shop" venue, this is your place. I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding looking back.
We had an excellent experience working with Trish and the team at Antrim. I had to plan my wedding with limited time and from a different state, so we decided to have the wedding at Antrim because they do everything for you, except provide the wedding cake. The staff is very professional. The Mansion is beautiful and a great backdrop for photographs. The garden room where the ceremony and reception were held is plain, which allows you to transform the room to fit your personal style. We loved that our guests stayed on the property with us and were able to enjoy the pub for an afterparty and breakfast the day after.
This is the perfect place for a wedding! The staff is fantastic and the co-ordinator even help to facilitate space for the band, whose leader thought it too small.
I had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all at the Antrim. First of all I have been going to the Antrim with my family since I was 16 for birthdays/ anniversaries/ other special occasions and I knew the Antrim was the only place I wanted to get married. The Antrim is absolutely breathtaking during all the seasons. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. I've never had anything but exceptional meals at the Antrim.
Trish, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with!! Trish is very professional and knowledgeable. Trish was always available to answer any questions I had, was able to give great recommendations and the best part is she was super calm and was able to resolve any issues/conflicts that came up during the rehearsal and the wedding day. I cannot say enough good things about Trish, loved her!!!
Rehearsal was a perfect start to the wedding weekend, food was amazing and we even were able to have a whole room to ourselves.
Of course getting married on the biggest snow day of the year will always present some challenges. I had major issues with the shuttle I contracted with (no relationship with the Antrim) to bring my guests, however, Trish took care of everything and made sure guests arrived and were picked up afterwards. The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. Chef Spencer provided amazing food, soo many guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The reception was absolutely beautiful, the staff were amazing, Rita our bartender was an absolute gem. There is absolutely nothing negative I could say about my experience with the Antrim; I would highly recommend the Antrim, it is truly a magical place.
Our daughter had an evening wedding at the Antrim 1844 on December 14, 2014. It was the most amazing wedding from start to finish. First of all, anyone marrying at the Antrim in December will benefit from the beautiful Christmas decorations all around the property. The Christmas trees in the drawing rooms of the mansion were totally amazing and only enhanced the beauty of the photographs. The pavilion looked amazing with, again, all of the Christmas decorations. Everything was perfect from the ceremony to the sparkler send-off. Our wedding coordinator, Beth Pumphrey, couldn't have been better. She was so helpful and responsive to all of our questions and concerns. We had no worries that the day would be perfect. She was there from the beginning to the end ensuring that everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Of course, the food was outstanding! Also, the bridal suite was so beautiful and inviting, I can't imagine any bride not wanting to spend her first night there. If you truly want to see how beautiful this day was, take a look at the photographer's website (www.jennifersmutek.com) under blog.
This is hands down the best venue to have your wedding! We fell in love with it the first time we went and didn't look anywhere else. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are so many different photo opportunities and so much history. The staff is amazing and Beth Pumphrey who was our wedding coordinator made everything so easy and was so responsive to the millions of questions we had through out the planning process. Chef Spencer also makes amazing food and has so many ideas to make the food you love for your special night. Highley recommend!!!!
