Great from beginning to end!

We loved having Anne as our photographer. We did an engagement shoot with her in the fall and was able to include our dog in the photos. We loved the photos and got them within the same week. We had to move our wedding due to covid and we were lucky Anne was available. She was very understanding with our guests and made everyone feel comfortable. We just got our photos back and there are so many good ones to choose from. I highly recommend Anne for your upcoming shoot!

Even got the 2-year-old to look at the camera!

I really appreciated Anne's meticulous planning which reflected her vast experience and ensured the day went as smoothly as possible. I hired her and her colleague for 5 hours and she gave us a "COVID" rate which turned out to be reasonable. Only having them for 5 hours made the time a little tight, but it worked out. I was happy with how the photos came out. I also appreciated Anne's sense of humor which helped lighten the mood!
Most importantly, she got the 2-year-old to look at the camera for formal photos.

Couldn't be happier with our experience or results!

Anne was recommended to me by a friend. I did a lot of looking around for photographers and came back to Anne because not only did she come with glowing recommendations but she was a great value and had a variety of packages she offered. We went with the most basic package thinking we didn't need hours of photos of dancing. But what I didn't think about was the sunset. As Anne and her partner Brian were finishing up I looked up to the hilltop and asked her if she would mind extending her contract to get some sunset photos. I'm sure she was exhausted after hours of outdoor photography in the heat with a mask on and trying to direct my hectic family without yelling(aka trying to achieve the impossible) but none the less she agreed. These are our favorite photos from the day and will be hanging on our walls soon! If she is available book her now!

Highly recommend!

Anne was amazing and the perfect photographer for our wedding! She took amazing photos and captured all the important memories while still being very discrete. My husband and I could not be happier with the quality of photos and we were blown away by the sheer quantity of pictures and how fast she edited and sent them back to us. They were all so amazing it made it very hard to pick which ones to frame! I cannot recommend Anne Lord photography enough!

Spectacular photos and experience

We selected Anne first based on the creative quality of her photos, but the first conversation we had with her made the decision for us! She was professional, highlighted an overall plan, exhibited flexibility and helped us envision our day. Prior to the event being postponed due to Covid our plan was for a small luncheon without many of the wedding items - no dj, no wedding party - so we knew we needed someone experienced so we wouldn't have a ton of photos of people merely eating lunch. Covid drove us to change the plans and do a wedding vow exchange on our lawn in front of neighbors. Anne took spectacular shots and made our lawn wedding look amazing. In just the 1.5 hours she took photos we had 100's to review. Absolutely beautiful. She's a gem!

Passionate photographer who captures breathtaking pictures

Anne is an incredibly talented photographer who, with her assistant Brian, captured our wedding in thousands of breathtaking images. We met Anne at a bridal show and chose her for her passion for photography as well as her affordable custom wedding packages. A few options that immediately stood out to us were the inclusion of two photographers and an engagement session (which I highly recommend as it helps to get to know your photographer). Anne is responsive to emails, comes prepared in case of emergencies and is willing to work with you depending on your desired timeline. While taking family portraits, there was an issue with the flash on her camera and Anne quickly resolved the problem with her back-up gear. Additionally, we wanted to spend time with our guests during our cocktail hour, so Anne recommended we take our couple portraits immediately after our first look and it worked out perfectly. Within a few days after our wedding, Anne sent us our online album with close to around 3,000 pictures. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Anne and the beautiful photos she and Brian captured of our wedding day.

Beautiful Wedding photos

We initially went to Anne Lord because she was a recommended vendor at Belmont Country Club. What a great decision! She was flexible, patient, and knew the venue...all of which made for a great experience. The pictures are stunning! I recently worked with her again to create a Wedding Album for my daughter. Anne was again very patient and friendly. The album is absolutely beautiful!! The quality is impressive-it takes two hands to pick it up! It's a very happy reminder of a wonderful day. Like they say, "the day is a blurr" - that couldn't be more right. It simply flew by. We seemed to have spoken with everyone- and no one. We don't remember many pieces - and we know we were there! Great pictures, easy to work with!

The photos Anne Lord Photography took were absolutely amazing! We were happy to have Anne and her assistant Brian as our photographers. They were punctual, pleasant to work with, they handled our large group in a easy manner. She did a great job with candids, and with getting great shots of our large 18 person wedding party into the pictures. Amazing service and quality

We hired Anne for our wedding. She was extremely pleasant during all initial communication and was flexible with scheduling our engagement shoot. We arrived late for our engagement shoot(I forgot my ring so we had to turn back!) and she remained calm. Due to limited light, during the shoot, she offered for reschedule for another shoot if needed. It was not needed at all. We received STUNNING photos even under low light conditions. Her work took my breath away. Later in the process, we ended up changing our wedding date. She was unavailable for our new date but went above and beyond for us by contracting us to her colleague, Brian. She stayed very involved up to the wedding date by coordinating and passing information between Brian and I. Typically, I would've been worried about working with a photographer that I hadn't met but after meeting Anne, I felt completely at ease trusting her. Brian was amazing! HIGHLY recommend Anne. I wish she could've shot our wedding but she truly provided incredible service.

Beautiful Photos

Anne and Brian, two detailed professionals, did an amazing job capturing our wedding memories. What a fantastic dynamic duo! They told our story beautifully and did a great job interpreting our vision. We received a TON of gorgeous digital photos and they were uploaded for us within days.
We are still looking through the significant volume of gorgeous and amusing photos in an attempt to figure out which will be crafted into an album (or two). There are so many fantastic shots that it is feeling near to impossible to select a smaller sampling!

We are certain, without Anne and Brian's professional, personal service we would have missed some of the smaller details that we later were able to discover in the photographs. Beautiful work.

Beautiful photos, wonderful experience

Anne photographed our October wedding and we could not be happier with the experience and the photos! Her and her assistant Brian captured so many special moments, and I have gotten so many compliments on the photos. Anne was incredibly responsive as well, and we had all 2,000+ pictures within a few days of our wedding. We also did an engagement package with our wedding package, which I highly recommend - it gave me and my husband a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and gave Anne a chance to get to know us. My husband and I interviewed many photographers and we are so happy that we found Anne Lord! Photography was one of our top priorities for our wedding, as we both knew we would want photos to cherish forever with our family and friends. We used Anne for our engagement photos as well. Anne was very helpful throughout the entire planning process and was also very patient during the wedding. We both have large families and Anne and her second shooter did an amazing job coordinating and organizing that many people. Prior to the wedding Anne sent us a very detailed photo plan that we had to fill out and return with any special photos requests. This list was essential and it made the wedding day flow so smoothly. We received many photos for each shot that we requested, plus many more! Anne was very agreeable to take photos at the Capitol building after the ceremony, which we absolutely loved those photos. Additionally we included our dog in our wedding day and Anne is especially great with including animals in your day! The best part was that we received our photos in a timely manner. We loved our wedding photos, from the getting ready photos to the portraits and reception we had so many great shots. We told Anne that it was especially important to us to not only have a good variety of photos of us, but we wanted lots of photos of our guests having a great time at the reception. Anne delivered on both accounts. We cannot recommend Anne more for your wedding and engagement photos!

Anne has been my photographer for twelve (12) years.
We first met her when we needed a wedding photographer in 2006. She did an amazing job with our on-location engagement photos, and our wedding photos were second to none, capturing each of us in our best form and true natures. We then had family photos done five years ago, with our family of ten, and those are now cherished memories as we lost my mother just three months after those were taken.
I currently needed a professional headshot for my business, and there was no other photographer I would trust. Anne accommodated my busy schedule and worked with me to get just the right angle, lighting, and genuine expression, all done in an extremely fast time frame.

Anne was absolutely wonderful to work with from day one! She is very prompt in her responses to email, and always available to answer the many questions that arise during the planning process. On the day of the wedding, Anne and Brian were absolutely amazing. They were there early to get situated, and we were able to dive right into capturing the day. They capture shots from so many angles, but do it in a way where you're not aware that they're sneaking around the place. We were thrilled when we got our images back just over a week after the wedding - and there are so many of them to go through!!! Anne is a very talented photographer. We chose her based on her online portfolio and the reviews we saw on various wedding websites. We were very happy with the engagement, bridal, and wedding pictures she took for us. She also holds herself to a very high standard. Her assistant is also very talented and got many wonderful candid shots of us and our guests enjoying the reception. Anne and her assistant did a great job of interacting with our guests without being intrusive. Anne also got the proofs to us so quickly, within 2 days, sometimes less than that from each of our photo sessions and the wedding. We love our wedding photos and are so happy we chose to work with Anne. We highly recommend!!

We booked Anne after finding her on Wedding Wire. She was very responsive and would typically respond to email within the same day. She had us come to her house to talk with her about what she provides and show us some of her past wedding and engagement photos, very helpful! She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. Her and Brian did an AMAZING job at our wedding. They are very kind and knew exactly what pictures to take. We received close to 2000 pictures back a week after our wedding. I would highly recommend Anne!

We booked Anne Lord Photography for our wedding after coming across her fantastic reviews on Wedding Wire. From the first moment I contacted her, she was very responsive and it seemed that her goals for shooting the wedding lined up with what was important to us. She was very flexible in working around our schedule/needs, especially when we had to reschedule our engagement photos 3 times due to weather and when we added additional coverage on for our wedding last minute. Anne and Brian provided the coverage the day of the wedding - they were both prompt, professional, and helped keep us on track throughout the day. They talked us through all the shots and made sure all of the groups on the list I had provided got captured. After the wedding, our photos were provided in less than 2 weeks. We have hundreds of photos to choose from and it's been difficult because they are all so good! We would highly recommend Anne Lord Photography to anyone looking for professional photos!

Anne Lord was wonderful to work with, very accommodating of the schedule needs of the bride and groom. She did my daughter's engagement photos, bridal session and wedding pictures. The photographs are just fabulous, selecting our favorites is difficult as there are so many exceptional ones. She really captured the romance and elegance of the wedding. Anne is very professional and had the wedding photographs available to us on line five days after the wedding. My friends were astounded by this as many of them had waited weeks to get their photos. Anne provided wonderful coverage of our June 11 wedding. She was absolutely easy to work with both before and during the event, provided outstanding coverage during the ceremony and reception, and sent the high quality photos to us extremely fast.

Anne gave us all the photos we asked for, plus she had a great eye for candid moments throughout the event. Her prices were well worth the value of her services, and we'd recommend her to anyone having a wedding in the area, especially an outdoor event like ours.

We used Anne Lord for our May 21 wedding. We cannot say enough wonderful things about working with her. She's extremely responsive, professional, and the pictures came out beautifully. It rained throughout our wedding day, and the sky was a dismal gray, but she still managed to take some wonderful shots outside. I will also add that she gave us the finished products within three days of our wedding- amazing!!! Highly recommend.

We were impressed with Anne's product after finding her on Wedding Wire, but we were blown away once we met her, saw her work in person, and discussed what we were looking for. She met us late on a weekday evening, accommodating our busy schedules, and instantly made us feel comfortable. Throughout the entire process, including scheduling our engagement photos, her responsiveness and communication was quick and efficient. Wedding photography is never "cheap," but not only was Anne more reasonable than other quotes we got, she made it worth every penny. On our wedding day, she worked around our time-frame and needs and her suggestions were a big help. In the end, the final product is something we will have and cherish for a long time and I recommend her completely for providing top notch service at a reasonable price.

We cannot say enough positive things about Anne and her team! Anne photographed our engagement session and wedding and we were speechless after seeing the photos, they are amazing!! Anne is extremely professional, patient, flexible, and very talented. We barely noticed anyone taking pictures during the wedding, but Anne and Brian captured every single moment and more. Anne also provides guests with a small card with a picture from the engagement shoot that lets guests know of the website they can look at all the pictures, such a nice touch! We also received the pictures in 3 days, such a fast turn around time! Anne makes you feel so comfortable while she is shooting and the pictures always turn out stunning. Anne and Brian did a wonderful job shooting our wedding! They were very efficient and got pretty much all the shots we wanted. During the planning process Anne was very responsive and flexible. After the wedding, we received a link to view all of the pictures online within a week and a flashdrive with all of the photos to keep within 2 weeks- very fast turnaround!

Ann was great to work with during our engagement photo session and wedding day. She put our minds at ease by responding quickly and laying out the process for us well in advance of the big day. Also, she quickly turned around our photos and we had them delivered within two weeks after the wedding. Lastly, if price is a concern, she is very reasonably priced compared to some of the other vendors I researched. I definitely plan on using Ann again in the future for family photos!

Anne is a wonderful photographer and easy to work with! She is quick to respond to all emails; which is so important when you are dealing with several wedding vendors. We knew Anne was the perfect photographer for our wedding vision during our first meeting with her. She is energetic and creative, and these qualities really shine when she is in her element shooting. She made our engagement session feel very personal to us, and it was a great way for us to learn her style so we were prepared for the big day!
On our wedding day at Bluemont Vineyards, she and her assistant Brian were able to capture all the special and candid moments, while seeming to blend into the background. They did wisp us away from the main venue for a bit for some pictures in an apple orchard, which was a fun adventure and some of our favorite pictures from the day! We have so many lovely wedding pictures to choose from and wouldn't change a thing about the photography aspect of our wedding. Anne has a great eye and vision, and we would recommend her highly!

We used Anne for our wedding photographer in June '15 and she was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She takes beautiful photographs and is very skilled at what she does. We met with her about 6 months before our wedding for a shoot with our dog on her beautiful property. We knew after seeing those photos that we had made the right choice in wedding photographers. There are so many beautiful photographs from our wedding, I don't know how I will ever narrow them down! Anne was always responsive, professional, friendly, and easy to work with. She had 2 other assistants helping on the day of and they were both very nice and helpful as well. She also provided wallets to distribute at the reception with information for your guests to view the photos, which was a lovely addition. We used the photos with our dog from the earlier shoot and the guests loved them! I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great wedding photographer in Northern VA.

My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our choice to have Anne photograph our wedding in December 2014! She and her team exceeded our expectations for a wedding photographer and then some. We did our engagement pictures in her picturesque backyard and it was a wonderful opportunity for her to get to know us and vice versa. My husband and I both feel a little awkward with those types of shots, but Anne gave great direction and put us at ease. Having a December wedding, Anne talked to us about a plan B outdoor shot in the spring if the weather didn’t hold up so that we would have some natural light shots. This opportunity got rid of all of my day-of weather related stress! On the wedding day, Anne showed up earlier than scheduled to set up and familiarize herself with the area. Anne was so organized and saw to it that we stayed on schedule for our first look and bridal party pictures to make sure we got every shot we wanted before we lost sunlight. She even managed to get through our large family photos in no time so everyone could enjoy cocktail hour! Throughout the ceremony and reception Anne and Brian were hardly noticeable as they photographed; which is an art. We received our pictures online only days later while we were still on our honeymoon and were able to pick them up upon returning. Out of more than 2,000 pictures captured that night, we LOVED every one and had a difficult time choosing our favorites. They were a perfect mix of traditional and artistic shots! They was not a shot I had hoped for and didn't receive. I highly recommend Anne and her team for any bride looking for a warm, professional, prompt, organized, talented, and direct photographer! Thank you so much Anne and Brian for capturing the memories of our perfect day!!! We look forward to using Anne again in the future for family pictures!

Anne shot our wedding in November as well as our engagement photos and we were extremely pleased with her work. We were continually impressed with how quickly Anne responded to us before, during, and after our wedding. She is warm, professional, and works quickly while delivering beautiful shots. She can take command of large groups of people and get them organized, which was great for our large bridal party. We also really enjoyed working with her partner Brian for the day of the wedding.
We were very happy with the photos and we were impressed with how quickly she was able to get them processed and online - she had 1800 images up and ready to go within two or three days. We definitely recommend working with Anne!

My husband and I could not have picked a better photographer to work with for our engagement and wedding photos! Anne is professional, organized, efficient, and very responsive; everything you want in a wedding vendor. We appreciated that her basic package included the engagement shoot, because it gave us a chance to work with her prior to the wedding day so she knew how we were in front of the camera. Even though my husband and I tend to be shy in front of the camera, Anne's direction, experience, and talent resulted in one great photo after another! Her pricing is great for the wonderful quality of work you receive, especially considering you'll have all of the digital copies of your wedding photos within 28 days of the wedding. (Ours were online for viewing less than 7 days after the wedding and on a flash drive ready for us to pick up in 2.5 weeks) One of the nice touches she adds is passing out wallets sized photos from the engagement shoot to the guests at the wedding with the login info to be able to view and order copies of the wedding photos. Our guests loved being able to view the photos and order copies of their favorites so soon after the wedding! She and her team were a pleasure to work with and we would absolutely work with her again in the future for family portraits. We highly recommend her to other couples!

Anne was out of town for our wedding so she had Brian take the lead for our engagement shoot and wedding. HE IS AMAZING!!!! Brian made us feel confident and comfortable to be ourselves. Brian and James captured all of the important moments from our wedding. I have gotten so many compliments on the pictures. We hired Anne Lord because she photographed my brothers wedding 9 years ago and did a fantastic job so we knew we were dealing with the best. Working with Anne was wonderful. She asks the exact questions to make sure that she is able to capture exactly what you want. She has an eye for beauty and her assistant Brian was just as wonderful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Anne Lord photography! Our photographers were Jeremy and James and they were absolutely fantastic to work with. They were extremely professional when they needed to be but could also laugh and joke with us to keep things light and relaxing. Our package included an engagement photo shoot which gives the photographer a chance to get to know the couple and vice versa. Of course my husband (then fiancé) was not very excited about this, but by the time we were through even he had to admit that he had enjoyed himself. Some of the photos from the engagement shoot were made into wallet size with the website where the wedding photos would be posted printed on the back. Jeremy/James brought them to the wedding and handed them out to our guests. This enabled our guests to look at our wedding photos online as soon as they were posted and even order their own prints. This was a huge hit! I had several guests remark how well the photographers "blended" in to the background of the wedding and yet they got such amazing shots of the day. They were so organized and asked ahead of time for me to list any group shots that I wanted and they made sure that they were all captured. Additionally, they would check in with me periodically to see if there was anything specific/any groups that we wanted to get together for a shot. I really could not have been happier with their professionalism, personality, quality of work, and value. Thank you Anne, Jeremy, and James for capturing such beautiful memories of our wonderful day!

I first met Anne when she was preparing to photograph my sisters wedding. Looking through her previous wedding albums, you could see her attention to details and the capturing of precious moments that not all would think to capture. Then watching her on my sisters big day, her love and dedication truly came through working with everyone and capturing such sweet moments of the day.

When I got engaged, I immediately thought of Anne and wanted her to photograph my wedding. Her attention to detail and making sure that we had the best moments captured, made her the clear choice in who we wanted to photograph our wedding.

Our photographs turned out beautifully, as did our album, and slide show! Anne goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable with the entire photographing process from start to finish! Anne was such a joy to work with and we were thrilled with the photos from our wedding! In the months and weeks building up to the wedding Anne was always extremely prompt with responses and open to any questions that we had which we definitely appreciated!

On the wedding day her and her team were on time, professional and so nice and helpful throughout the entire day. Anne's photos were gorgeous and she got so many different types of shots as well. We also loved that the pictures from the wedding were up online even before we returned home from our honeymoon! We also ordered a wedding album through Anne and it was so hard to pick our favorite images because there were so many we loved! We are very happy with the album she created.

We loved working with Anne Lord Photography for our May 31, 2014 wedding in Reston. While Anne herself was already booked that weekend, she assigned two of her assistants (Jeremy and James) to our wedding. We were able to meet with Jeremy, lead photographer, first to make sure it was a fit.

Leading up to the wedding, Anne managed all our requests and details extremely promptly and professionally. She treated us like we were her only clients. She and Jeremy scoped out our wedding venues beforehand to make sure of lighting and where to do the First Look.

The day of the wedding, Jeremy and James were so easy to work with. They took a variety of shots, but weren't obtrusive in the getting ready process. They did a nice job of directing the photos that day (which was no easy task with a large wedding party all talking and laughing), but still remained "in the background" to where we enjoyed our day. In almost all the photographs both photographers took the pictures, so we did not have to worry if one didn't turn out. Also, they were able to shoot different angles at the ceremony, which was a plus.

We also purchased an album from Anne and it is beautiful!

We just loved working with Anne and her team. In a wedding industry that is filled with high-pressure, non-individual service, Anne and her team are the opposite. They knew we trusted them with telling the story of our big day and they came through amazingly. It was well worth the price!

Anne Lord Photography was amazing! We have used her services for three major sessions: engagement, grandparents/granddaughter, and wedding. We were so impressed with Anne and the quality of the images from the first session that we scheduled an additional session with my daughter and her grandparents. In addition to quality, Anne was very flexible. Because the wedding was so busy, we forgot to include our baby daughter in some of the family group pictures. Anne photoshopped our daughter in the picture so she would be included in the memories. Most importantly, Anne is very patient and hard working. Weddings are stressful affairs, and she was very responsive to my e-mails. Our wedding pictures were online in less than a week after the wedding. She also finished and sent our albums less than 6 weeks after the wedding! We will be scheduling her services again for our daughter's first birthday.

Anne's photos are completely stunning. I can't help but smile every time I look through them! She was so easy to work with on the day of the wedding, and she always knew exactly what to do to take a great picture. What's more, we had a major request for multiple family photos at the reception, and even though we knew it would be complicated, she pulled it off!

During the planning process, she never let 24 hours go by without answering an email. In fact, I was so impressed by her professionalism and responsiveness that I recommended her to a friend before we'd even had our wedding. Thank you, Anne!

I couldn't have asked for better photographers on my wedding day than Anne and her assistant, Brian! Anne took the time to find out what was important to me and it was reflected in the pictures they took.

They made sure that everyone was comfortable in front of the camera and provided clear direction. They are so good at what they do, that Anne and Brian took the best pictures of my friends and family that I have ever seen.

Anne was flexible, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Even though she photographs weddings all of the time, Anne made us feel like our day was very special.

My husband and I truly enjoyed working with Anne Lord Photography for our wedding. Anne is a wonderful business owner - very professional, and has a lovely personality. She was helpful in the planning stages - all the way up to the day before the wedding. Her second photographer, Jeremy took our photographs on the day-of. Jeremy is also very professional and was extremely comfortable to work with. He is very personable. Jeremy made it so easy for the two of us to relax and not focus so much on the camera(s). He truly captured everything! Anne took my bridal portraits at her studio. She made me feel so beautiful in front of the camera. She really listens to your ideas - on what kind of "look" you want from your portraits, but she also provides a lot of suggestions which is helpful.

Our wedding photographs are so beautiful - we have them framed all throughout our home. So many of our guests comment on how beautiful they turned out. We will contract with Anne Lord Photography for family portraits, etc. in the future.

Anne and second shooter Brian photographed my daughter’s wedding recently. They were a pleasure to work with! Not only were the photos awesome (we expected that, haha), but we enjoyed Anne’s personality, flexibility and originality throughout the whole process. As an owner of a service business myself, I really appreciated how efficiently she runs her studio – she delivered finished photos on time (even a day early!) and always got back to us very promptly, never making us feel like we were bothering her. She was always available by email during the planning process to help with the silly questions brides and their mothers have, and offered advice when appropriate. Anne and Brian captured not only my daughter and son-in-law at their best, but family and guests and details as well. We will treasure the photos and the memories forever. Thanks Anne and Brian!!

Anne was spectacular! We couldn't have been more pleased with her attention to detail, flexibility, professionalism and photos - yes the photos - were terrific. She and her crew captured not only the expected moments, but those special moments when the subject wasn't looking at the camera.
Those are the most treasured pictures because they communicate the anticipation, joy and happiness of the event. Her turn-around time for posting photos is impressive and most appreciated. I would definitely contract her (and have) for other work. She does a beautiful job for photography used for businesses, school brochures and marketing materials.

An unbelievable experience! Anne made my wedding day seamless with zero stress! She is quick and produces amazing photos. Bride: I was really happy with them. They are very particular and pay attention to detail. One thing, they will hand out small photos of you and your soon-to-be-spouse at the reception from the engagement shoot. It was a lovely wedding favor. Jeremy, our lead, was amazing. He was really funny and kept us laughing. Our guests liked them too, we actually had a few say so as well. The final result was very good. Anne uses a great design company and the spreads were fantastic. The final album was also very nice. We both recommend them. You will be very pleased!

Groom: We had two photographers, Jeremy and James. Jeremy (the lead) was very personable. He made us feel at ease. With two, we each got our own photographer. I was able to have photos of my morning before the ceremony. I was very happy with the albums, they were of excellent quality.

I first met Anne when she photographed my sister's wedding, and I knew without a doubt that she'd be the one I chose for my wedding, too. She extremely responsive, punctual and makes you feel very comfortable. She works with you to get your best angle and smile. Not to mention the final pictures are flawless! I was so pleased upon receiving my engagement and wedding photos from Anne. I think she is an amazing photographer, and offered the best value for a wedding photography package I have found in the Northern VA area for such beautiful work! Anne's 2nd photographer, Brian, was fabulous as well. Anne is efficient with the family shots and very experienced...be sure to leave plenty of time for the details. We were fortunate enough to have some time for bridal portraits in Anne's lovely garden and am so glad we did! I have received so many compliments on those shots and know we will cherish them as wonderful memories of the day.

When I started looking for wedding vendors, my husband and I agreed that the most important vendor is the photographer. After all, not many people will remember what they ate at the wedding or what music was played, but the pictures will last forever. We could not have been more thrilled with choosing Anne Lord as our photographer. She responds super quickly to all emails, always on top of paperwork and contracts but not at all in a nagging way, and was super easy to work with. I don't know how many times throughout the planning process I said to my husband "I would lose my mind if it weren't for Anne Lord!" We also had a few requests that deviated from her standard contract and she was willing to comply with our needs. She works very quickly and efficiently (we ended up with over 2000 photos from our wedding) but without sacrificing quality. Our engagement and wedding photos are all amazing. I felt that the price we paid for her services was absolutely worth every penny. Choosing Anne Lord as our photographer was probably the best planning decision we could have made for our wedding.

My daughter and I met Anne at a Bridal Show. We were instantly drawn to her display of photograhs. After talking to her about her photo packages and prices, we booked her that night. It was very nice that on the wedding day, there were two photographers to capture all the intimate details of the bride and groom getting dressed and that one photographer did not have to split their time between the two. Anne took some incredible detail pictures that I would never have thought of. The slide show that is part of the package is set to the music of the first dance of husband and wife and the photos she picks are just amazing and I don't know how she does it because there are a TON of them to choose from. It is also nice that they pass out the wallet size engagement photos at the reception with their login information on the back so that when the photos are available, the guests can login and view and/or order any photos if they wish. Also, the engagement and weedding photos were posted on-line days before they were due to be posted. I would highly recommend Anne Lord Photography to anyone looking for a photographer that is professional, unobtrosive and her package price is very reasonable and will not break your wedding budget. She is more than willing to work with you and your wishes. My daughter even had her dog in her engagement pictures. Once the pictures are posted and the slide show is complete, you will receive a thumb drive with all the Hi-Res photos and the slide show, which you will cherish forever. I can't thank Anne and her assistant enough for helping to make my daughter's wedding so special that will last a lifetime.

We started working with Anne for our engagement photos. We were able to have our dog Duke in the photos, and they turned out great. It was very important to us to have our photographer be pet friendly, especially since he was with us for pictures on our wedding day. Her garden is perfect for engagement photos and is right on the lake in her backyard.

Anne and her team captured every single moment of my wedding day. From the moments of getting ready to dancing the night away. We had a Fall wedding and really wanted to get the leaves in the photos as much as possible. She really captured the images I already had in my head. The leaves and garden we went to turned into beautiful pictures. We got so many compliments on them. Anne did an absolutely WONDERFUL job! She was just incredible to work with. I was a little bit slow in booking Anne Lord Photography, so by the time I did, Anne herself was already booked for another wedding. We trusted her when she said she had two really great staff members to cover our wedding - Jeremy and James. And she was right, they were great!! Anne was actually kind enough to offer to come do the getting ready shots at my parents house, while Jeremy and James handled the wedding photos. All of the pictures are incredible, and they took a ton! Not only were Jeremy and James incredibly professional, but our guests continue to tell us how nice and personable they were.

The entire package was great and very affordable, ESPECIALLY considering what we got with the package -- engagement photos, a full day of wedding coverage, wallet-sized engagement photos handed out at the wedding so guests could order wedding prints online, a thumb drive with all of the wedding photos, and a slide show..... we are very happy and highly recommend Anne Lord Photography to all of the other brides-to-be out there!

Not only does Anne take lovely pictures, she ges them back to you at lightning speed :) we had all of them in 6 days! She also brought along another photographer to assist her, and he was also amazing. The guys loved having him around! Our pictures are gorgeous and we will always cherish them - thanks, Anne!

Anne Lord did our engagement and wedding photos. We couldn't be happier. She and Brian were great. And the photos came out amazing. My favorite thing that she did was something i had not asked for or seen before, she took individual pictures of everyone/couples at the reception. This was a huge surprise and gift because we could see everyone being happy and enjoying themselves on our wedding day. And had a photo to include in our thank you notes to everyone who attended. I have been at several weddings and none of the other photographers have done that.

She also was great at finding the perfect setting for pictures. We have some beautiful impromptu photos that i will cherish forever because of Anne and Brian's creativity. i dot know how she gets some of the photos she does but she is definitely worth booking.

Apart from her great photography talent Anne was early to our house to get a feel for the place and was courteous and organized. Her package and pricing is very reasonable you get a lot for your money. I was very happy with the results.

I chose Anne Lord to complete both my engagement photos and wedding photos. I could not have made a better decision! Anne is one of the sweetest, down to earth, extremely professional people I have ever met. After the initial meeting with Anne at her home, my husband and I were immediately convinced that she was the photographer for us. It seemed like she totally “got us” and knew exactly what I wanted without even having to fully explain ourselves. We immediate booked her on the spot for our June wedding. I was a Bride that loved pictures, I wanted so many and wanted a photographer that wouldn’t let me down. Anne fully exceeded my expectations. She was very organized prior to the wedding and asked for a list of every additional photo I wanted to have taken and made a checklist for herself so she wouldn’t forget. One thing I loved about Anne and her staff was that you never knew they were there taking pictures. They blended into the wedding and reception so well but were able to produce over 1000 pictures. Every time I contacted Anne, she was almost immediate to respond and never had me worried once. Anne will not disappoint any future bride and will be sure to give you photos that you will love and cherish for the rest of your life!

Anne Lord was of the highest caliber of professionalism before, during and post wedding! We were fortunate to have Jeremy and James photograph the pre-wedding, wedding and reception. Anne was absolutely phenomenal to work with. She first did our engagement session and then our wedding. Both her and her assistant were extremely professional at all times. Anne and Brian did an amazing job leading up to the wedding, the big day itself and after the wedding. Anne will meet with you to discuss exactly what you want and how best to implement your vision.

The day of, Anne and Brian were on time and very professional. Anne made sure that my husband and I were comfortable and got all the pictures we wanted done in a timely manner so we could go enjoy ourselves. During the ceremony and reception, Anne and Brian blended into the background and you were only aware of them when there was a photo opportunity such as cutting the cake. Before they left, they checked to make sure nothing was missed.

I would highly recommend Anne to anyone who is looking for get pictures on a budget!

Anne Lord was recommended to us by another photographer who was unavailable to do our wedding and boy did we get lucky! In addition to the phenomenal job that Jeremy and James did at our wedding (the photos were great, their personalities were upbeat and energetic and very professional) Anne herself was very hands on. She was extremely responsive to all phone calls and emails and so easy to work with. The icing on the cake for us was the fact that all of the photographers that we interviewed indicated that they would not have our pictures ready for several weeks following our wedding - Anne had them online the following Wednesday. And as part of her services she sent a cd and thumb drive with all of our pictures and a wonderful slideshow of our wedding to us within weeks. We were so pleased with Anne's services and highly recommend her!

Anne Lord did the photography for my sister's wedding in 2006. We were so impressed with her work that she was the very first vendor I booked for my wedding. I knew that she would do an amazing job because I had already seen how brilliant she was. You can look at her website and her portfolio and see she is a wonderful photographer, but you don't see how fantastic she is when she is gathering all your different families into a hundred different groupings, remembering everyone's name, all while taking the most beautiful pictures. A great photographer must have a great eye for pictures and a kind and patient spirit. Anne has both. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Seriously, 5 stars isn't enough. Anne Lord Photography was wonderful!!! We had a GREAT experience. They were fun to work with and so professional. My two best friends had Anne Lord take their wedding photos too and we ALL LOVE our wedding pictures. On your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect.
