Seamless experience

We were lucky enough to find Kelsy from C&D for our wedding! Kelsy was exactly what we needed in a full service planner. We planned our wedding with her from out of state, and that didn't impede her communication skills or planning at all. She was intuitive, thoughtful, and worked with our travel schedules to take advantage of times when we were in town to align with vendors and tours. She was super knowledgable about all the local vendors, and helped us narrow it down by presenting options that fit with our vision. She ultimately made the whole design come together and we absolutely loved it! On wedding day, our whole family was so impressed with her professionalism and how she ran the show. Not only is she good at her job, but Kelsy is so easy to get along with -- we've even met up with her after our wedding when she was on a trip to our city. Whenever people ask for our top wedding planning tip, we always say hire a planner, and if you're lucky you'll get one like Kelsy!

21st Night of September

I worked with Meredith with C&D Events for planning my September 2023 wedding and she (and the rest of the team) were beyond helpful. Meredith was my month-of coordinator however she assisted me throughout my year-long planning process. She answered my MANY questions quickly and effectively. If she wasn't sure of an answer, she informed me of that but also reached out to other colleagues for assistance which I appreciated.

There were a few hiccups however in speaking to C&D, I felt like my concerns were not only heard but accepted. They provided additional background and clarity which I appreciated as I can only see so much of what is going on from the client side. They went above and beyond to help correct and for that I'm grateful. I truly believe that they are a great team to work with if you're getting married in the RDU area.

Full-Service Wedding Planner

We worked with Kelsy as our full-service wedding planner and words do not describe what an amazing experience we had. She went above and beyond to coach us through the entire process ensuring things went smoothly and that our vision came to life. She was very knowledgeable of the wedding industry in general and was able to guide us through each and every decision. All of our friends and family involved in the process were thoroughly impressed by her and agreed she was a pleasure to work with. We went into the day feeling fully prepared and only had to worry about cherishing each moment together as she handled everything behind the scenes. Thank you Sterling!!

I am SO happy I went with C & D Events for my wedding!! Sterling was my day-of coordinator for my wedding at The Bradford last Saturday and she went above and beyond to make everything come together. She was always so responsive and put me at ease leading up to the wedding, and worked with my last minute changes to make everything perfect while being so calm. The timeline moved along so smoothly and so many guests I spoke with appreciated how natural the ceremony flowed into cocktail hour, then dinner, etc. and that was all due to Sterling and her team!!! The team all put me at ease the day of the wedding as well and were so fun to talk to. I felt completely stress free once everything started which I was honestly surprised by, they handled everything so I was able to just fully enjoy myself!!! I cannot recommend C&D Events enough and definitely book Sterling if you have the chance to, she was amazing and is so sweet!

Wedding of our Dreams!

We had a wonderful experience planning our wedding with Kelsy from C&D! She was available, attentive, friendly, and made us feel so at ease through the whole process. Everyone at our wedding commented on how smooth it was and well organized, not to mention fun!! We really feel like our wedding was the best day of our lives (so far!) and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I didn't have to stress about anything in the days leading up the wedding and that was priceless.

Taylor Made Everything So Easy!!

C & D Events made everything leading up to our wedding so much less stressful. Even if you are a great planner, and have all of your ducks in a row-- I could not recommend hiring this wonderful company more. Taylor made our day even more perfect than we could have asked for, and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. I am so grateful to her, and for the entire planning process. Full service planning - best decision we made

C+D was a life saver! They did a wonderful job of helping us achieve our vision of our perfect day in about 3 months. Alexia is the Best!!

We started working with Alexia as our day of coordinator but she truly went above and beyond in everything she did to help us. Alexia helped us through several date changes and was always supportive and patient with everything. Alexia actually ended up working as our day of coordinator TWICE - once during an intimate ceremony on our original wedding date and then recently during our big celebration! Both times Alexia helped the entire planning process leading up to the day of run so smoothly and organized. Both days were so well organized and well planned and helped the day be stress free! Alexia truly was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have done it with out her and I am so grateful we got to know her and work with her!

Kelsy was fantastic to work with. She is very organized and detail oriented which is great when you need someone to help turn the ideas and thoughts in your head into actual elements. She was great at communicating from the beginning of our working relationship and answer all of my questions throughout the planning period. As we approached the day she took over communication with all of the vendors to make sure that everyone was on top of their details and our timeline was set up perfectly. On the day Kelsy, and Natalie (who came to help), were key in keeping us on track and organizing all the random details that would usually get lost in the weeds. I'm incredibly thankful to Kelsy and the C&D team for helping to create the perfect event and the best wedding day!

You need a wedding planner and you need Maggie at C&D Events.

You need a wedding planner and you need Maggie at C&D Events. Maggie was 10000% the reason our wedding day was beyond a dream come true. From the time we started working together about 6-8 months out, she was always available to answer any questions and provide advice on what would work best. She provided us with templates to plan out the details of our entire day and met with us in person and on video/phone calls to go through them together. And let me tell you, there’s A LOT that goes on with a wedding that you don’t think about or realize until you’re planning but she made it fun and exciting! Maggie clearly knows the wedding industry through and through and truly cares about her couples. She got to know us very early on and understood that we just wanted to have fun at our wedding and the reception but didn’t have many specifics in mind. I gave Maggie a very very vague idea of what I thought I wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to look like and she, along with her 2 amazing assistants, executed it better than I could have ever imagined! They were always available for us during our wedding day with a glass of water, a band-aid, re-bustling my dress, and anything else we might have needed. Maggie planned our entire day and ensured everything went to plan with our photographer, videographer, and DJ. All of our personal items were placed either in our car or our room and they even left us food and cake in our room for after the reception! I could go on forever about how excellent Maggie was; I might actually miss wedding planning but only because of her and her wedding expertise.

Caroline is incredibly competent and professional and did a WONDERFUL job!!

We worked with Caroline at C&D Events and cannot rave enough about how incredible our experience with her was! When we initially hired a wedding planner we did not anticipate how extremely valuable her services would be. Throughout the entire process, Caroline was kind, professional, and responsive and continuously put us at ease with how competent she was. She took the time to learn our personal story and asked about our preferences to make sure that she understood what we wanted and helped us create the most wonderful and personalized wedding.Whenever we mentioned something that we wanted, even if it was just briefly in passing, Caroline would remember, make note of, and execute it to perfection, it was amazing! We ended up having to postpone our initially planned wedding due to COVID and Caroline walked us through the entire process of rescheduling and made it all as low-stress as possible. We had a significantly decreased amount of anxiety leading up to our wedding because we had absolute trust that Caroline had everything under control. On the day of our wedding, Caroline took care of all of the logistics and executed our vision to perfection in regard to the set up and decoration so that all we had to focus on was spending time with our guests and enjoying ourselves. Caroline pays attention to every single detail and has an incredible eye for making everything come together into a cohesive and beautiful wedding. We were extremely happy with our experience with Caroline and C&D Events and cannot recommend them highly enough!

The BEST decision I made

From helping with family drama to calming me down when he almost deployed the week before, Caroline was truly the backbone of our wedding. She was able to help us plan our wedding during the pandemic and always kept us in the loop on updated policies and changes. She made me feel like her number-one priority, even when she was bringing a little one into the world!
Caroline was there for us every step while staying organized and calm. She was extremely responsive throughout the planning process and made great vendor suggestions, making our day incredibly special. Even on the day of, she was attentive and kept the day running seamlessly. We received so many compliments on our day and it was all because of Caroline and C&D Events. Awesome experience working with Becca Taylor

Working with Becca Taylor in planning our wedding was one of the best experiences I’ve had working with a professional. We spent approximately 1 year working together in planning our wedding and throughout that time we had to reschedule our date 4 times due to the pandemic in 2020.

She handled the obstacles of rescheduling with grace and poise, and was so kind in counseling me through the process as it was emotionally devastating learning that my wedding was cancelled THREE times by various venues.

Throughout the process Becca maintained true professionalism. She was always patient, kind, organized, and prepared for our meetings. She even handled working with some difficult family members like a pro!!

One of Becca’s best qualities is that she listens intently and makes it her mission to fully execute the vision of her clients. From our conversations she was able to find the BEST vendors to make the vision for our wedding come alive! She even had the intuition to keep searching for alternative vendors when she sensed I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the presented options. She did not rest until she knew I was completely satisfied with our choices.

When we finally secured our official wedding date at the Biltmore in Asheville, she had only 3 weeks to rebook all vendors, design the ceremony/reception sites, and pull together the reception dinner menu. She did all of this efficiently and made the process even look easy although I know it was a massive amount of work.

To state the obvious, our wedding day went very smooth. Becca and her assistant, Dana, were so helpful with finding us last minute items on the “day of” such as ring sizers, makeup blotters, and guestbooks for the reception. Her assistant, Dana, also averted a crisis when my husband cut his hand on a bottle right before the cake cutting at the reception. Dana noticed this immediately and was equipped with bandages to remedy the situation without me even noticing anything was amiss. Simply amazing!! Becca and her team are always thinking ahead and finessed a lot of last minute touches that made our day perfect.

I could give you so many more examples of how Becca made our day and overall experience unforgettable, but this review is already quite lengthy. It will just have to suffice to say that she is the BEST in the business at what she does and I give her the highest recommendation for anyone who is looking to plan a dream wedding.

I hope to work with Becca again for all of my family’s upcoming milestone events. I am 100% pleased with our experience and cannot wait to work with her again! :)

I absolutely cannot sing enough praises about Becca! She was able to help me plan my wedding during an unprecedented pandemic and I am still getting complements on how beautiful it was!

She was there for us every step of the way, helping narrow down choices and asking questions that we didn't think to ask. She was very responsive throughout the planning process (and the wedding itself!) and scheduled regular meetings with us to make sure that we were meeting deadlines.

Whitney is awesome!

Having Whitney Davis of C&D as our planner has made my life much easier. She’s helped us tremendously with not only the typical elements but also navigating moving our wedding 49 days prior to an entirely new ceremony and reception venue based on COVID restrictions. She and the C&D team are up to date on COVID policies and have helped in many ways I didn’t realize we would need. Whitney’s calm presence and awareness of my design preferences, sometimes even before I knew what they were, continues to surprise & excite me. She guides gently and thoughtfully and with great awareness of details all while keeping everything very well organized. My parents, fiancé and I are so much more excited about our wedding since we have Whitney by our side.

Whitney Davis is a dream!

There are hardly enough good words I can use to share my experience with C&D Events and our planner, Whitney Davis. It brought me peace of mind to go into meetings with Whitney and be so in sync with our questions and details - especially in regards to contracting other vendors and services during the pandemic. Not only was she detail-oriented, a master timeline creator, and committed to our vision, but she was also a complete joy to work with throughout the entire process. As a testament from the groom, when my husband and I were making tough decisions about our wedding, we knew that we were going to have to give up some of our original plans... one thing we both agreed we couldn't give up: Whitney!

One of my favorite parts of working with C&D is that I felt confident in their team of insanely talented professionals. Planning a wedding during the pandemic felt a little like we were "building the plane as we were flying it" - a process where having the right team becomes crucial. During our check-ins, Whitney would constantly say things like "our team has been brainstorming" or "we have figured out a way to do this safely"... Due to their collective creativity and experience, I knew that I was getting the benefit of not only the planner I hired, but the entire C&D team and their network of industry professionals. We were able to seamlessly transition our large hotel ballroom celebration into an intimate dinner reception at a local restaurant in a matter of days. Whitney was essential to this process by making sure that the transition was safe, legal, and protected the original vision of what we wanted for our wedding day. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how perfect the evening was! Thank you Whitney and all those at C&D!

Wouldn’t have chosen anyone else

Oh my goodness, I could on and on and on about how amazing C and D was and specifically my coordinator Kelsy. From the first phone call all the way to the end of my wedding night, I have zero complaints. I was an emotional and worried and stressed bride in the weeks leading up to my wedding and I cannot express how much Kelsy calmed my nerves. I never felt like a burden and I always felt like I could express every little concern that I had. I truly felt like I had a friend planning my wedding. On the day of my wedding, I was stress free and able to focus on being in the moment because I knew that every single detail was taken care of. Wedding planning made EASY thanks to Becca!

My husband and I worked with Becca for around 18 months in planning our October wedding. Becca is such a sweet, easy-going, and calm person- the exact kind of person you want with you when you're confused about shuttle prices or figuring out who is going to sit where with two sets of divorced parents. We opted for the full-service wedding planning package, and it was easily worth the money considering A- Becca is serious pro at her job; B- My husband was in grad school and I was starting a business, so we didn't have a ton of time to plan a wedding; and C- we had no idea what we were doing because we hadn't planned a wedding before. Becca kept us organized and on track, and she helped us make decisions we didn't feel like making after having made dozens upon dozens of other wedding-related decisions. She knew exactly what I was looking for design-wise and helped my wedding dreams come true. I can't recommend Becca and the other women at C&D enough. Becca is professional, thoughtful, and sweet, and her calming presence was so appreciated on our wedding day!

Caroline was AMAZING!

I had a great experience with Courtney from C&D Events. Courtney was my full planner and she was very helpful and always responsive to my requests, questions, etc. She has a ton of experience and really helped ease my stress knowing that she had everything under control.

On the day of the wedding, I hardly saw Courtney at all which is exactly how it should be! Everything went very smoothly and we were able to enjoy our day knowing that Courtney and her team were handling all the details behind the scenes.

Had a fabulous experience with Dana at C&D!

We could not say enough positive things about our experience with Dana at C&D! We did the full service with them and also asked her to help with our rehearsal dinner party and found it to be a great value. Our entire weekend went off without a hitch, thanks in no small part to Dana. She was organized, reliable, thoughtful, always available and extremely helpful. She was anticipating anything we could ever need, all while being incredibly unobtrusive on the day and blending right in with family and friends. We received countless compliments on the design, the flow of the weekend, and how helpful Dana and her staff were. Alexia was amazing!!

I could go on and on about how much I absolutely adore Alexia from C&D Events! She was our Day Of Coordinator and went way above and beyond to make sure the wedding and entire planning process was stress free and perfect. Dana was AMAZING! She was so easy to work with and gave terrific insight when it came to details, logistics, budget, and décor. We could not have done it with her insight. She also made sure the wedding ran smooth and we weren't stressed. We can't recommend her and C & D events highly enough.

Fabulous wedding coordinator

Maggie with C&D Events made my day just perfect. She seamlessly coordinated every detail and made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of our wedding. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. She was always easy to get a hold of and willing to work around my busy schedule. We got married at The Barn at Valhalla where we had a lot of outside vendors coming in and she did an excellent job of coordinating everyone. She is very experienced and has planned many other weddings at my particular venue- she was able to anticipate many issues that I would have never thought of. And she was so fun and upbeat. Everyone I talked to during the wedding planning process was so helpful even when I needed to change my mind. Made us feel like guests at our own wedding (in the best way!)

Caroline from C&D Events made us feel like guests at our own wedding, in the best possible way. First, we were working with Whitney from C&D Events, as we booked our venue through the Carolina Inn (where a week-of wedding coordinator is included with the package). Whitney assisted us through the tasting and choosing linens and other rentals, and she was always a phone call away for questions that arose. She had great ideas and was extremely supportive. She ended up handing our wedding over to one of her colleagues, Caroline, as she was expecting a baby, and the transition was super smooth and handled very well—by the time we met Caroline, she was already totally up to speed on our wedding. We met with Caroline twice before the wedding week and emailed back and forth, and she was an invaluable help as wedding details started piling up. She had good ideas, was creative and supportive, and extremely organized and capable—we just had to mention something to her and we knew she had it under control. The week of the wedding, she was such a help during all the hectic-ness—for example, she arranged with the best man to pick up all our decorations for the Carolina Inn ahead of time so we wouldn’t have to worry about it the day of. The day of the wedding, she and her assistant handled everything with grace and made everything run smoothly—she even went and found the groom when there was one of our favorite songs playing and he was outside! If there were any minor, unforeseen roadblocks we weren’t even aware. All of our family and wedding party were extremely impressed with how capably and gracefully she pulled everything off. We couldn’t recommend C&D Events, as well as Whitney and Caroline in particular, more highly.

Caroline Is Amazing!

Hiring Caroline (C and D) to be our day-of coordinator was the best decision ever!! We were pretty organized, but she was very helpful to keep us on track, follow-up with vendors, answer questions - even the obscure ones. She was sweet, professional, knowledgeable and so absolutely easy to work with. Having her support made everything run smoothly the day of and as the MOB, I was completely relaxed knowing she could handle anything that might come up. The day of she kept everything flowing - which is almost like herding cats at times! I could not have done this without her. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

We worked with Catherine for our "month-of" coordination, and we couldn't be more appreciative of all that she brought to the table! She had great ideas about tackling my logistical concerns, and was super efficient on the big day! (The timed table visits she suggested were a GAME CHANGER!) From overseeing set up at both venues to helping us make sure everything wound up in the right car at the end of the night, because of her hard work we were able to relax and enjoy the experience. Out of State Bride & Groom

Being out of state, I used the full planning service and am so glad I did! I worked with Becca on design, and Courtney on all things logistical: vendors, the timeline of the day, hotels, etc. My main wish was that the day would be seamless for us and for our guests, and we accomplished that to a T. My guests were even telling me after the wedding how helpful the planners were day of! I fully trusted C&D events and they delivered above and beyond! They worked with my schedule for planning meetings which was tricky since I work a typical 9-5 and am 3 hours behind. They guided us through the entire wedding process which took a lot of stress off. As a wedding planner everyone asks me if I am going to plan my own wedding. Yes and no is always my answer. Hands down I know the importance of having a Day of Coordinator. When it came time to find one for our wedding I did the same research as every other bride. Helping a dad give his baby girl the wedding of her dreams

In our particular situation, it was just the bride and me, her single dad, trying to plan the wedding on our own. The venue owner suggested we should get a wedding planner as well. She was right. Becca with C&D was wonderful in creating the mood and look of exactly what my daughter wanted. I was clueless as to where to even begin or what vendors to contact, but after several meetings between Becca, my daughter and me, Becca created exactly what my daughter wanted: classically simple, easy going but vintage, relaxed and intimate. The day of the wedding went even better than expected. At the reception one of the guests told me, "You have an excellent wedding planner. You can really tell that you're not just clients to her, but that she really wants Sarah to have a beautiful wedding." I agree. I couldn't have given my youngest daughter and new son-in-law the wedding of their dreams without Becca's tremendous help.

Best decision ever!!!

AMAZING Day of Coordinator

We had Whitney for our 12.08.18 wedding and words can't even describe how amazingly helpful she was throughout the whole wedding planning process. Just Say Yes!

I would highly recommend working with C&D Events to plan your big day. I had the pleasure of working with them in several different capacities: C&D for coordination, Bushel & Peck for our flowers/design, and Dana created a custom invitation suite for us. Keeping so many of these various aspects "in house" was a HUGE advantage because Courtney could be there every step of the way to advocate for our vision and organization was smoother.
I was one of those brides who thought "I'm very organized and have plenty of time to plan this so I'll be able to do a lot of this myself, no problem." Well, after talking with Courtney and reviewing the plans, I went with the full service package and I'm so glad I did. There are lots of ins and outs to the wedding industry that you have to navigate and it is absolutely necessary to have professionals help you do this.
Courtney is a saint who kept me calm, organized, and on budget. I had absolutely no concerns about how the day would run knowing she was in charge which allowed me to enjoy the day not thinking about logistics! When I started getting ‘decision fatigue’ and couldn’t make up my mind about a few last-minute details, she knew exactly when to step in and how to guide me or whether to make a few executive decisions based on her wealth of experience. Her input and recommendations were all spot-on for what we were looking for—even when we couldn’t quite articulate it ourselves.

Hard to say enough good things about Dana and her team at C&D events! The three things that impressed me most were her communication, how she makes vague client ideas come to life, and the smoothness of our big day. (1) My now-wife and I were living 1000 miles away from the wedding location the year leading up to it so most communication was via email and phone conferences. Dana is amazing at clearly and concisely getting through lots of content to keep everything on track. We always felt like we were keeping to schedule, being heard, etc. She is really easy to work with; in person, via email, and over the phone. (2) I still remember at our first meeting with Dana the seemingly incoherent stream of ideas that I, my now-wife, and my parents gave Dana. I am amazed how she was able to weave it together into a wedding event that was both so elegant and polished while having lots of personalized touches. Some examples included a dazzling display of hanging candles a la "The Great Hall" (my now-wife and I are big Harry Potter fans) and adorable centerpieces on each table the centered around vintage math textbooks (my now-wife and I met in math graduate school). Everything about the ceremony was so "us" which felt great but was also not over-the-top in any way so all of our guests really enjoyed it too. (3) Dana and her team are such professionals on a wedding day. There may have been fires to put out behind the scenes, but I will never know, because they just handled everything so smoothly that my now-wife, I, and our familes just got to focus on enjoying the celebration which is exactly what you want from a wedding planner. Highly recommend!!!

I could not have pulled of my vision for the wedding without C and D Events. They were so hands on and made sure everything was taken care of. I had lots of big ideas and they were able to take over and make them a reality. I put all my trust in them and I am so glad that I did! Since they have been in the industry for a long time they knew all of my vendors very well and were able to match me with specific vendors which took off so much stress..there are so many choices out there!!! Catherine and her team did EVERYTHING! We corresponded several times before the rehearsal day. I sent her lots of details and lots of questions. She was so fast in her replies. She took all of my decorations the day before at the rehearsal. She bore with me as I explained what I was hoping to do with everything I had bought and collected over the past 9 months. She knew all my planning was really important to me. I am a control freak so handing this important event over to someone else was frankly frightening. Day off... We got married in May, so this is a bit overdue but I wanted to say how much I loved working with Dana from C and D Events!

She was so helpful and extremely organized and I appreciated that so much. I am sure she did many behind the scenes things that I will never know about, but everything ran perfectly smooth. I had many guests even comment on how good our planner was.

We had a MASSIVE cookie table that was refilled the entire night by her team and was a very big deal to my family and it was flawless. Her team was so polite and you can tell that they actually enjoy the work that they do.

The day of my wedding was an absolute breeze. If anything did go wrong, I had absolutely no idea, which is how it should be! C&D was helpful and easy to work with as well, easy payments online, etc.

My now husband and I worked with Whitney and I cannot recommend her enough. I wish I could give her a million star review because that's what she deserves.

To begin with, we were only looking for a weekend coordinator because it was required of our venue. Neither of us were sold on the idea, but we found C & D events through our venue's recommended people.

They are extremely reasonably priced. That was one of the major selling points for us going with C&D. And you definitely got your bang for your buck - Whitney was always available to answer our email questions, give us recommendations, and checked in with us to make sure we were feeling comfortable and not overwhelmed. C&D used Google docs and that made it super easy to communicate and get everything organized for all of us.

We met with Whitney two times in person and both times she was prompt, prepared, and really easy to talk to. She was always concerned she was not stepping on anyone's toes and thought of lots of little details we would have missed.

The day of the wedding went off flawlessly. Whitney had everything organized and ready to go and all my bridal party had to do was go where she told us to go. The reception venue was beautiful. They even pulled a plate of our horderves so my husband and I wouldn't miss out. They also were receptive to any changes that we wanted to do - we had a fire pit and my husband requested that it be lit earlier than originally planned and it was just done. We didn't have to search around for her, we didn't have any issues. We got there, partied, and left and didn't have to worry about anything.

Those who were in our wedding party (+ family and friends) still talk about Whitney and how great she was. She changed our priest's mind on wedding coordinators - he had grudgingly accepted that we had one, but the way Whitney handled herself and organized the wedding party opened his mind to them and he now speaks favorably about Whitney and his experience.

Leah was Wonderful! While I was busy on my wedding day getting ready with family and friends Leah was downstairs making the place look beautiful just like we visioned. She worked so hard with her staff to make our day so special. Some of my guests even commented on how hard she worked to make everything go over so smoothly. I cannot imagine my wedding day being ANY better and I owe so much of that to C&D Events, specifically, Becca Taylor, my day-of coordinator!! Becca is absolutely wonderful! From the moment I first emailed her to inquire about day-of coordination, she was so friendly and sweet and then when we met for the first time in person I knew she was the right person to help with my wedding! She truly listened and captured every single detail of my vision and it totally helps that she became a friend throughout the entire process. :) I had about 9 months of planning for our wedding and I was a bride with a million questions, but Becca was so patient, kind and helpful and she was with me every step of the way! She was very responsive, very knowledgeable about vendor and design selections, and she always had ideas about how we can tweak things to stay in budget but still have the wedding of our dreams. When our big day finally came, Becca and her team went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. Thank you Becca and the entire C&D team for all of your hard work and execution on our wedding weekend, it truly was the best ever!!

I cannot thank Dana and her team enough for all of their hard work for our special day! I have known Dana since I was in high school so it was amazing to work with someone I know and trust. C&D events has an amazing staff that was able to step in and do the most amazing things to help make our wedding successful even at the very last minute (like the day of!!). They have an incredible rapport with endless vendors which came in handy when we struggled to find others on our own. Dana's detailed notes and plans were incredible and amazed some of our other vendors who had not worked with C&D Events before. Our wedding would not have been as perfect and gone without a glitch if it wasn't for her and I am forever grateful! We HIGHLY recommend C&D Events to anyone who wants the BEST in the business!!!

Dana was amazing. She helped me feel SO much better about everything and was always there to reassure me or give me ideas. She communicates super well and I really like her laid-back style; it helped to calm me even more. She just completely seemed to understand what we were wanting for our day, and she was totally on board and did everything she could to help us achieve it. She was there to wrangle people for certain tasks if needed, and she also served as an intermediary between drama :) I really don't know what we would have done without C & D Events! They are the best and I am SO grateful for everything they did for us.

Working with Dana was truly a pleasant experience. The option to customize our experience based on our needs was a priority, and we found that with C&D Events. We ended up going with a Day-of Coordination option, but also added a separate design package that we customized. We knew we could handle finding and meeting with our other vendors early on, but we really needed help with design and coordinating everything once the wedding got closer. We met with several potential planners before hiring Dana, and it was really a no brainer. She is so easy to work with, and the service that you get for the price makes it the best value in the area. Dana has fantastic ideas, but she is never overbearing. She took my very unstructured vision and turned it into something absolutely beautiful. This is especially impressive since I had a hard time communicating exactly what I wanted. She knew the right questions to ask, and anything that I left up to her turned out wonderful. As far as our meetings went, she was very accommodating to our schedule, meeting after work on weeknights. She also regularly came to Durham, where we live.
On our wedding day, we were in so many different locations. Throughout the day, the bridal party was moving between 2 hotels, a salon, the ceremony location, and the reception location. She coordinated this and made sure it went smoothly.
At the end of the night, when our getaway ride didn't show, she handled it immediately and completely took the stress off our shoulders.

We would highly recommend hiring Dana with C&D Events to plan/coordinate/design your wedding. No matter what your needs are, they have an option that will fit perfectly.

We worked with Whitney at C&D Events, and booked her as our day of coordinator. We met with her a couple of times before our day and were in contact with her throughout the planning process via email. Whitney brought an expertise in weddings that we absolutely needed, and she was able to refer us to other great professionals. Overall, we were happy to be hands on in the planning process, but the guidance that Whitney was able to share, and knowing that she was taking care of the actual day, was incredibly valuable to us, so her day of coordination was a great fit for us.

From our very first meeting Dana met our needs, wants and desires for our daughter's wedding. Professional, fun and easy to work with Dana listened to what the vision was, helped us get to to that point and gave great advice along the way. We never had a dual moment at our meetings, she gave sound, professional advice and was calm through it all which gave us the most relaxed feeling towards what could have been a very stressful time. Dana and her team were fantastic throughout the planning process. They were there able to take all my ideas that were sort of scattered in my head and put them into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The ease of reaching C and D made the entire process even easier. Our wedding was planned from a distance and Dana was more than accommodating meeting with us and scheduling appointments while we were in town and then even doing it again with my mom when we made a change and couldn't get back there. Dana and the C&D team went so far beyond our expectations it was unbelievable. They are incredibly talented, and organized, and so much fun to work with. They truly understood what we were trying to achieve, and made our vision even better. We would wholeheartedly recommend Kelsy with C and D events as a wedding planner! Within 6 months of our daughter's wedding date, Kelsy assisted us and our daughter, who lives across the country, in planning a wedding for over 200 guests. Her expertise, knowledge, and attention to details, along with her calm approach and confidence gave us much peace as parents of the bride, and pleased our daughter, as well. Her help with timelines and knowledge of excellent vendors who would be a good "fit" for us saved us all time and money and she kept within our budget. She was available when needed, and checked in on us frequently with updates. She helped us with our decisions and followed through with prompt implementation. Her presence at the rehearsal, and prior to the ceremony as well as at the reception was another great benefit to us. When there was an emergency relating to a dress, Kelsy had the supplies needed and solved the problem immediately. Her professional expertise allowed us to enjoy our guests and the events of the Wedding Day itself, knowing that she and her assistants would handle any problems that might occur. Initially I was super reserved about hiring a wedding planner - emphasis on "super." However, my wedding venue required me to have at the least a wedding coordinator, which I was hesitant about because I was a bride on a budget who pretty much wanted to plan the wedding entirely by myself. But now I can say I completely 100% understand why venues require a bride to have a wedding coordinator and I can say after my wedding planning experience I have been fully converted to Team Wedding Coordinators because Whitney at C&D events executed my day perfectly. Even though I only hired her for day-of/month-of services, I felt incredibly taken care of throughout the process which I felt was so important since I had a lot of stress planning a wedding as a busy medical school student in Florida. Being out-of-state and away from my venue location, about six months before the wedding Whitney and I had talked on the phone to pretty much elucidate all of my wedding planning progress and I felt so attended to - it truly relieved so much of the stress I had about my wedding day (even though it was still far away!!). Once I moved back to the area about a month before the wedding, Whitney scheduled more face-to-face meetings with me than she was required to just to make sure we solidified all the details now that I was back in town. She was in communication with all my vendors and rentals so that they knew what to bring, where to be and when to arrive (which really alleviates so much of the stress the few weeks before the wedding!). On my wedding day I was the most stress-free bride there ever was, knowing that Whitney was handling all of my details, decorations, set-up, ceremony coordination, etc - and my entire bridal party and family could not have raved about her organizational skills more. The wedding went smoothly without a hitch, and I truly have to thank her for it. WEDDING COORDINATION SERVICES ARE SO WORTH THE INVESTMENT!! Thank you so much to Whitney and her team!!

Kelsy and C&D did an incredible job. Kelsy was an excellent and reliable resource leading up to our big day, providing valuable recommendations and was very willing to work with us as we encountered issues (and difficult vendors). On the wedding day, she coordinated the entire set-up of our reception layout and decorations exactly as we had discussed. She also did a great job of pacing the reception events and ensuring that we got through all of the traditional moments (cake, dances, etc.), while still being able to enjoy ourselves. Her patience, professionalism, and her attention to detail were above and beyond. Our wedding was perfect, in large part thanks to her.

We hired Courtney with C & D for full wedding planning and I have never been happier with a decision in my life! Not only is she just an awesome person to be around, but she and her team will do whatever it takes to make you feel like you are the only person they are working with. We had a lot of last minute changes (by last minute I mean within 20 minutes of me walking down the aisle) due to weather and they all were out there (Courtney, Dana and all of their team) getting everything under tents and making things just perfect. We hired Becca at C&D Events as our weekend wedding coordinator and I am so glad we did! We had about 8 different vendors delivering rentals, food, desserts, flowers, etc. and Becca managed everything. It took a huge amount of work off of my plate in the last couple weeks before the wedding, and particularly on the wedding day itself! She also was a great sounding board throughout the planning process with recommendations and advice. I wasn't sure if the cost of a coordinator would be worth it, but I can definitely say that it was! Having someone who I trusted and who I knew had good taste to manage the set up of our reception was such a relief. And she handled the last minute hiccups and vendor issues without me having to worry about anything on my wedding day! I honestly do not know how we would have done it without her. We used Becca Taylor for our wedding planning and she was incredible! I could not have asked for anyone better from her help in the early planning stages, recommending vendors, creating timelines, etc. and especially on weekend/day of. She is confident and firm but in an incredibly nice and genuine way that just makes you feel at ease and calm through every step of the way. She genuinely wanted to make our wedding special and exactly as we wanted it and worked hard to do that. She was great with our families and I literally had zero worries my entire wedding day because she was in charge and make all of the many moving parts happen so seamlessly and without me even knowing.

Do yourself a favor and hire C&D Events, right now. I really don't know what I would have done without Courtney- she was amazing, dealing with all the stresses of the wedding day so I didn't have to. She had to work through some tough situations when it came to the wedding, but she did it all in a calm manner and with a smile on her face (which helped me stress a lot less). They also worked with me because I really had no idea what I was doing, or what I wanted. I had no pintrest board, no ideas, no picture in my head of what I wanted my wedding to be like. They helped me come up with ideas and build the wedding of my dreams! Oh, and they helped me plan the whole thing in 6 months. So if you want a beautiful, minimal stress wedding, let C&D events coordinate it!

Everything about C&D events is done with style and polish. The staff is very talented, organized and can provide so many services. They also provide referrals to vendors for every budget. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude, respect and adoration for Dana! She was my day of planner but took on the responsibility of so much more than that, especially on our wedding day - she was my support, my pillar of strength and my biggest advocate when hurricane Matthew was threatening the day of my dreams. She was hustling gas cans across the yard in the pouring rain to make sure we had fuel for the generator, she drove all over town (in very unsafe conditions!) to gather everything we could ever possibly need, she thought of possible hurdles far in advance and prepared for every possible scenario, she coordinated tirelessly with all of the vendors to make sure everyone could arrive safely, she made wonderful decisions in a very stressful and non-ideal situation and she managed to give us a beautiful, perfect wedding despite the fact that our plans changed so drastically throughout. She shielded me from stress and executed what can only be considered a wedding day miracle! I don't think we would have had a wedding if it wasn't for her diligence, her talent, her passion for the job, her dedication to her clients, and her incredible vision. I had the ultimate pleasure of working with Dana at C&D Events! From my first meeting with Dana I knew a wedding planner and design coordinator was what I was missing with my wedding planning experience. I was "on the fence" of hiring a wedding planner but once I met with Dana and shared my ideas and dreams I knew she was what I needed! Honestly, It was the best decision I could have made during my wedding planning. She is very friendly, enthusiastic and easy going but also stays on top of deadlines and setting up meetings with her and vendors. I did the partial planning with design option due to already have some vendors lined up. Dana executed everything perfectly, from my Save the Dates, Invitations, Flowers, Outside Vendor Coordination, Rentals, Day of Coordination, Rehearsal, My extensive "flip" of ceremony to reception (I had over 200 guest!) and much more! When getting closer to the wedding date my mind was at ease because I knew Dana and her team would be there every minute of our wedding. Dana and her team were the reason my wedding happened! Go ahead and hire them now! I had no stress because of them. I sighed a sigh of relief the moment we met with Dana. We got married at my Mother-in-Law's home and they flipped our ceremony space to the reception space in no time flat. Even when some vendors were late- they didn't break a sweat and didn't let me know what was going on, they handled it all and I didn't find out until the next day. Dana is awesome! I wouldn't have been able to plan my wedding without her help. She did my invitations, flowers, introduced me to various vendors, and provide day-of-services. When choosing a venue on our own required way more research, time, and spreadsheets than I knew I could handle for every vendor, I started researching wedding planners. (I had already decided we'd hire a Day of Coordinator - but hadn't picked one yet.) Additionally, even though we had a somewhat limited budget, I knew a planner would make better use of that money than I would, especially when it came to decor. On top of that, we were planning from afar (Wisconsin), so we knew we'd have limited time to actually meet in person with vendors.

We worked with Courtney and would recommend her! She worked with our budget (never making us feel bad, just realistic), recommended 2-3 vendor options for each decision, did all the decorations/flowers for our ceremony and reception, ran our rehearsal, and coordinated with all the vendors. At the last minute (two days before our wedding) she was even able to track down some rugs to cover carpet stains at our venue - the rugs fit our theme perfectly and no one noticed the stains.

Courtney did a great job incorporating any requests/ideas we had, as well as suggesting ideas when we didn't have a preference. We were happy with all her vendor recommendations - it made things much easier that she was very familiar with our DJ and caterer. We fit in visits with Courtney and vendors when we were in Durham for other reasons, so it was great she was so flexible with our limited time.

In the end, the event was seamless (as far as I know!) and we had an amazing time - plus the decorations were beautiful. Courtney made our wedding so much better (and easier) than I could've done on my own.

Booking C and D events for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! From the first time I met with Courtney and Dana, I felt very comfortable with trusting them with my wedding details! Dana was our day of coordinator and she took detailed notes each time we met about our wedding. She was there for the rehearsal and made sure everything was set for our big day. I am a very detail oriented person, so I sent her several long, detailed emails about the wedding setup and she was able to execute it all perfectly. One thing that set C and D events apart from other planners is that they guaranteed at least two planners ( a lead planner and an assistant) for the day of our wedding. Several of our guests have never been to an 'american' wedding, so I knew that they would need additional guidance on the day of the wedding of where to go and what to do, so having an extra person was priceless. Dana checked in with me several times during the day of the wedding and made sure everything went smoothly behind the scenes. I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day!! I cannot thank them enough and recommend them to any bride!

I worked with C & D in part because they also own The Bradford (a GORGEOUS venue). I was googling around for day-of coordinators and landed on C&D's website.... which lead me to their blog.... which is how I found our they were in the process of opening their own venue. We met with Dana (the 'D' in C&D) and instantly knew that we would trust her with the most important day of our lives. At C&D, they work extremely hard to make sure that you get what you want while staying in budget. They are so down-to-earth, you'll want to be friends with them forever after your wedding. They work hard to keep all stress off the bride on the wedding day and it was SO appreciated! They are well-connected to other vendors for your special day as well. We just love C&D events. Book them! And do yourself a favor and check out The Bradford in New Hill, NC if you're in need of a venue!

I am not a Raleigh native, which meant I was not sure of the places around here, so I felt a little lost on just the logistics of vendors and how to get around Raleigh on the wedding day. I am a perfectionist and wanted to make sure choosing vendors and deciding important details for the day of were the perfect decisions; moreover, I wanted to relax and enjoy my wedding day, which meant I wanted a wedding coordinator for the day of. I had no idea that when I found C&D Events that I would get all of my wishes but I would also find my florist and designer Becca in C&D Events, my invitations designer Dana in C&D Events, my bed and breakfast for my family of 12 to stay at for the wedding weekend and rehearsal dinner venue planner Cortney at the Bradford in C&D Events, and the day-of wedding coordinators, chandelier hangers, light stringers, laurel wreath makers, or my ease of mind "ensurerers." My husband and I loved every moment of planning our wedding, and we owe this to C&D. They made time to meet with us when we needed; they were always on the same page as us with our creative design ideas; they worked within whatever budget we had but still didn't skimp on our dreams; they took care of us! They referred us to so many great vendors that we loved! Not only were they professionally what we were looking for, but they had the personalities that blended so well with ours and our family! They were laid back enough to have fun without every relaxing too much to let the details go. They were all sooooooo wonderful to work with and just loved staying in contact with them about wedding details! By the end of the wedding process, they were more of our friends than coordinators. My husband and I are teachers, so planning and staying organized was important to us and we weren't going to settle; therefore, I wish I could give a higher overall rating than just 5.0! They were perfect in every way. Please, hire them for all of your wedding day so you don't stress any more!

C&D Events is amazing! I was quickly drawn to the girls because they were Meredith College alum like myself. After meeting, I clicked well with Dana and we knew we needed her for the 'day of' planning. Leading up she answered any random questions I had, made schedules, and met with our other vendors/venue. The day of the wedding was amazing and ran smoothly. Dana ran errands and handled any issues - we could not have done it without her!!

Highly recommended, great prices, and amazing women! Check out their new venue - the Bradford :)

We had a DIY wedding and were not planning on hiring a wedding planner until about 3 weeks before the wedding when it became clear that we couldn't manage the day-of coordination along with socializing with our guests. We interviewed Courtney with C&D Events and it seemed like the perfect fit --- and it was! Courtney was very calm and professional and every detail we presented was met with an enthusiastic "we can take care of that." Courtney and Kelsey not only took care of all of the set-up we had planned but did an outstanding job with the flowers. We ordered 250 roses & 100 hypericum online and Courtney help my friends strip and arrange all the roses into centerpieces, plus gorgeously decorate an outside chuppah and make my bridal bouquet. They even loaded most things into our car at the end of the evening so we could take off early the next morning for brunch. C&D was very responsive to emails and phone calls and allowed us to focus on our guests and each other! It was a perfect wedding and they made everything behind the scenes work really well. Last but not least, their pricing was extremely reasonable.

There were things we didn't even know we wanted until Courtney and Dana made them happen. And we were blown away. Courtney and Dana are professional and honest, and they are a genuine joy to be around. They take the time to listen, and they make magic happen. We could not have been happier working with them and experiencing the happiest day of our lives as they directed the wedding of our dreams.

My husband and I were married in May. Not only was our wedding entirely outdoors - meaning lots of extra logistical details that had to be done perfectly - but we also live outside North Carolina, so we were communicating with C&D from afar! They made themselves available at a moment's notice when we needed to talk with them about our plans or when we had questions intermittently throughout the process.

C&D learned very quickly that what my husband and I do well is communicate ideas and themes, but when it comes to the wedding industry, we don’t understand the complexities and the details of how to make it happen – so they needed to take those high-level thoughts and turn them into realities. My husband and I observed in no time that this ability is second-nature for C&D, and we were unbelievably impressed with how soon after meeting us that C&D understood us and everything we were looking for. They translated our ideas, and influenced new ideas we never would have thought of, into the most beautiful wedding we could have imagined.

We put a tremendous amount of trust in Courtney and Dana, and we could not be more grateful for their hard work and immaculate artistic vision and capabilities. They were there for us every step of the way, and they truly cared about every detail they put in to our wedding day.
