Perfection.

Courtney and her team were perfect. Full stop. From start to finish, they exuded calm, professionalism, and creativity. She took the stress out of wedding planning and made sure, at every step, that our vision was centered and our worries addressed. Day-of, our coordinator Thomas navigated what might have been nightmare scenarios (i.e., a surprise visit from EMTs) with grace and humor. We honestly cannot imagine our wedding without them.

And separately, let us just add that as a same-sex couple, we cannot overstate how fucking fabulous it was to work with a planner who gets it. Courtney helped us hone a vision for a wedding that was perfectly us––not just a sanitized, same-sex version of a straight wedding. She guided us as we identified traditions that worked for us, discarded those that didn’t, and dreamt up fun ways to stitch it all together.

Courtney is a master wedding planner. Courtney is calm, cool, confident- all traits you want the leader of your big day to be. She took the storybook vision I had for my wedding day & implemented it IRL with her wedding mood board (which i HIGHLY recommend you add on)! She knows her shit & she knows all the right things to do & say if a diaster hits- which for us 3 days before our wedding it did BUT Courtney resolved the issue & the event went on swimmingly without any issues! THAT is the kind of wedding planner you want for your big day.

Courtney's team is also PHENOMENAL. Johnny has my entire heart. He is SO fun, bubbly, kind & accommodating. Everyone on her team just went above & beyond to ensure our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be.

The best of the best

The only regret I have with wedding planning is not hiring Courtney sooner. Seriously if you are considering hiring a planner (which you should) you absolutely NEED Courtney and her team part of your wedding.

We hired Courtney later in the wedding planning process when we had to shift our original plan, and she jumped in right away and didn't miss a beat. She is a pro, she knows what you need before you even ask, she always gives her honest opinion (spoiler alert she's always right TRUST her), and she is just a great person that you want to have around you and part of your wedding. Every idea we had Courtney made come to life. She made us feel like true VIPs and like we were her only client. She truly puts her heart into everything she does and made us feel so incredibly loved, special, and taken care of.

She has incredible resources, whether it's her vendor list, her team, or her incredibly organized documents and questionnaires. You can tell she spends A LOT of time getting to know each of her couples, their vision, and she will stop at nothing to make sure their wedding is magic.

We were also so lucky to work with Courtney's team, Johnny, Amanda, and Thomas and they are all so incredible too. They were all so much fun to work with, and were ready to handle anything (groom ripped his pants 5 min before the wedding? After the engagement didn't even flinch, they sprung into action to remedy the situation as quickly and calmly as they could)

I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea. Hire After The Engagement, they are SO worth the investment. It was the best money we could have spent on our wedding. Our wedding was truly magical, and I know it's because of Courtney.

Truly invaluable!!!

After interviewing several wedding planners, we knew immediately after meeting Courtney that we had to have her on our team.. and we are SO incredibly lucky that we did. Courtney gave us everything we dreamed of and more. The planning, execution, and our entire weekend was seamless from start to finish. If you are considering Courtney, book her now. I promise you will not regret it. Here's why..

First off, Courtney is extremely honest. She is not afraid to give her invaluable opinion based on years of experience, and will literally be at your every command (we could not get over how quick she was to respond to us with everything!). I can't tell you how many times Courtney put things into perspective for us and made decisions easy. She is 100% there to tell it like it is AND make your dreams come true too.

Secondly, if you want an epic, one-of-a-kind, FUN, and gorgeous wedding, Courtney is your girl. Her style is impeccable and so is her vision.

Courtney helped narrow down our wedding location based on our vision of our dream wedding. She was able to show us a variety of different venues, all unique to one another, and all within our price range. She is also very realistic about price ranges and is NOT commission based! She knows how to stay within your range and will not push you to spend a cent more.

Courtney also had a vendor list of literally EVERYTHING we were looking for from the basics like photographers, videographers, florals, cake, signage, etc. to way more specific things like boba tea vendors and lion dance performers.. and if there wasn't already someone she had worked with and recommended, she would find someone almost immediately to introduce to us.

Third, our entire weekend went so incredibly smoothly. Everyone warns you that there will always be something that inevitably goes wrong at your wedding. It didn't happen to us. And if it did, we were totally unaware of it because Courtney was on it IMMEDIATELY.

Lastly, it's been 7 months since our wedding and we are still having friends and family reach out about how SPECIAL our wedding was. How it was the most fun and unique wedding they had ever been to and how it will forever be something they cherish. As a bride and groom hosting a wedding, that is all we could have ever wished for. Yes, it is about us and our union, but it's just as much about your guests experience too.

Courtney is a dream to work with and we are honestly forever grateful to her. I wish we could plan an annual anniversary party with her just to be able to live it over again and again and again.

Best decision you will make

Courtney guided us through TWO YEARS of wedding planning. She navigated planning a large-scale event through ever-changing COVID guidelines and restrictions, without ever panicking or losing her cool. She clearly presented us with the facts of every situation, recommended options and offered her expert opinion, but always allowed us to make a decision on our own. The entire team was extremely organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Also, depending on the package you get, you have access to her planning software, which allowed us to stay organized and on track throughout the entire process. She knows how to assemble an A-team of wedding vendor professionals, with an emphasis on professional, and has an extensive network throughout the Palm Springs area. Each vendor treated us as family, making sure we were well-taken care of and helped make the day even more special than we ever could have imagined. I think it really speaks volumes of this team when each person we worked with independently raved about Courtney, saying that she was their favorite planner to work with. Courtney and her team saw to it that the entire weekend was executed flawlessly. We even had MULTIPLE people come to us and say our wedding was better than their own! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with After the Engagement, we love Courtney and her team so much!!!

Hands Down... The Best Planner in Palm Springs and Beyond!

Fritz and I came across Courtney from After the Engagement who was highly recommended by our Palm Springs venue! Courtney is THE QUEEN when it comes to wedding planning, seeing how she's overcome the atrocities of the pandemic with the wedding industry, she just DELIVERS!!!! As soon as we browsed her website, we knew she was the planner for us! Anyone that is questioning whether a planner is worth it, BELIEVE ME AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.. HIRE COURTNEY!! Her professionalism, her knowledge of all the venues and what they will/won't allow will help guide and save you the headache of trying to navigate the planning process alone. She is very quick to respond to emails when she isn't tending to weddings, her list of vendors made the planning process super easy for us. Having the dream team of vendors for your wedding is just so special and made our big day flawless. Best decision I've made during the planning process

Courtney and her team are an absolute treasure in the wedding world. I honestly don't know where I would be without them. I am a current bride/client of After the Engagement and they really do live up to all the 5-star/Excellent reviews on here. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic adds an extra layer of stress and Courtney has been an absolute asset to keeping my sanity. She is an extremely seasoned professional and highly regarded among vendors and others in the industry which speaks volumes. Everything she does is with the utmost professionalism: her response time is quick, her answers are thorough, and her input/decisions have proven to be invaluable. Her expertise in planning weddings in the Palm Springs area takes a lot of the blocking and tackling since she is so familiar with all the venues and vendors so you spend less time figuring out how many gas grills you need and more time focusing on the personal details of your wedding. At times I truly feel like I am the only bride she is working with because of the individualized attention. Lastly, depending on the package you buy, you have access to her wedding planning software which keeps you on track with a very complete checklist and timeline of all the details and minutia necessary for a flawless wedding - so for those who may be less organized (me), this is essential. Thank you Courtney and your team for all the hard work you guys have put in so far in what is a very challenging time.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the opportunity to work with over 50 wedding planners & coordinators. NONE compare to Courtney and her team. They are the very best in the business. You honestly need to stop reading this review and just reach out to them immediately. You better hope they are available for your wedding. And if they're not, time to consider changing your date. I'd book my wedding around their availability. WOW! That's quite a review. What makes them so good? Professionalism, experience, vendor relationships, organization, ability to always stay on a good timeline, care for the couple, care for the vendors, care for the guests. The Rational Mind You Need

When we first started planning our wedding, I asked my now wife "Why do we need a wedding planner? We can organize the ceremony." As you might have guessed, that hubris eventually gave way to reality, Not only do you desperately need a wedding planner, if you plan on doing anything original or fun, and you don't want to hate the process, you should hire Courtney and her team. As these other 5-star reviews make clear, Courtney is like picking Lebron James for your weekend basketball game. Pick Courtney and - if you listen to her - you are guaranteed to dominate.

We wanted to throw out the playbook when it came to planning our wedding. And in many ways we did. But - thanks to Courtney - we found the perfect balance between the crazier things that were part of our original vision and still maintaining the character of a wedding. It was never - "oh no, that's a terrible idea." Instead it was, "That's a fun idea. What if we tried this variation?" We also have to thank - me in particular - Courtney for her patience with us during the planning process. I'm a bit of a procrastinator (case in point, our wedding was in November and I am just writing this review now :). But Courtney made it clear for us when we needed to make decisions and when not to panic because we hadn't yet. As others have mentioned, her connections with world-class vendors is a huge plus, especially if you are planning the wedding from afar, as we were.

It was the week of the wedding where Courtney, with the help of her excellent assistant Thomas, really shined. We were, to put it mildly, stressed leading up to the wedding day. But all that stress washed away when we saw Courtney work at the rehearsal. Once I saw her in control, I knew everything was going to be all right. And i was right. The wedding was a huge hit.

So a very big thank you to Courtney and her team. Be smart and hire her as early as possible. It's worth it.

Rockstar wedding planner!

My mom and I had phone calls with multiple wedding planners to find the right fit, and we were so confident after speaking to Courtney I think I paid the deposit the very next day.. What sets Courtney apart is her experience (she had done multiple weddings at my venue in the past) as well as her professionalism.

I had a heavy hand in the planning of the wedding but was SO incredibly grateful to have Courtney's knowledge of the industry to help guide me in my decision making. Also Courtney is incredibly responsive in her communication. When I say incredibly responsive, I mean I would send her an email 6 months before my wedding and she would answer it within 10 minutes and treat my concerns as if my wedding was the next day... she is that good.

Our wedding weekend ran smoothly and I so appreciated Courtney, Jonny and Thomas' cool, calm demeanor. Expect them to wear dope outfits and be the zen you need on your big day. Much love to Courtney and the team - my mom, my husband and I are eternally grateful!!!

Spectacular

Courtney is absolute magic. If you don't hire her, you're making a mistake. Lock this sh*t down faster than you did your fiancé because make no mistake, she is the best. Courtney and her team are kind of like if Beyonce and Elton John procreated (unlikely, I know... but imagine the possibilities). They're talented, completely fabulous, and masters of their craft. It's so rare to work with a vendor who's not only lovely but can also execute so flawlessly. Her and Johnny created, nurtured, and saw through the most incredible day of my husband and I's life. They have an almost insane level of attention to detail, can solve problems quickly and with grace, and work together in a way that makes your day seamless and spectacular. They are also the most well connected planners you'll meet, and their network of vendors who they have created longstanding relationships with will pay off for you in spades. They're kind of like a warm protective shield that surrounds you from day one all the way to the big day. In all seriousness, I am an insanely unorganized person with a terrible memory. The sheer volume of "quick question" emails I sent Courtney's way rivaled the rate at which the current president tweets - fu**ing absurd. Court handled it all like a champ. She always had a well thought out answer, and responded at a rate that set new land speed records. Our guests have been talking about the magic at our wedding for nearly 2 weeks now and we only have her and Johnny to thank for that. Hire these majestic land mermaids and buckle up, because you're about to have the greatest wedding of your life.

LOVE Courtney Tibbets/ After The Engagement

From the first call my daughter and I had with Courtney, I appreciated her candor, and experience. Many planners take kick-backs from vendors they recommend, and this is not something she finds acceptable, and I loved her honesty about that. She offers different packages, and in our case, we created the overall theme, while she offered suggestions which was extremely helpful. We communicated with Courtney for several months before the wedding, she always responded quickly and had such a great attitude even as our ideas changed throughout the process. She reviewed all vendor contracts, ensured hotel rules and regulations were followed, and made sure we and our vendors stayed on track with timing, covering all of the bases, and had respect for our budget. She is very detail oriented, organized, straightforward, flexible, fun, creative, and professional. There is no question hiring her made all the difference in the overall success of my daughters wedding! I had complete confidence in her and her team as they ran the show at our welcome event, and the day of the wedding, so we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend using Courtney and her team. She was the calm in the storm throughout, I am extremely grateful for all that they did to make my daughters wedding dreams come true!

The absolute BEST

Courtney and her team are the absolute best in the business. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We did the "Big Day" package and it was exactly what we needed. Courtney provided expert guidance and advice as we navigated our own planning. Her knowledge and experience were unparalleled and her kindness and professionalism next level! Not only was she available to answer any / all questions for the 3 months leading to our big day, she responded immediately to every email and was always happy and available to chat on the phone if we needed. We honestly could not have done it without her! She also coordinated all our booked vendors and made sure we had everything we needed for our insurance etc.. Stuff I would never have even known to ask she had 100% covered and explained every step of the way!

For our day-of coordination we were thrilled to have Johnny lead us through the day! Johnny absolutely MADE. THE. DAY. He was cool, calm and collected and ran our day schedule to perfection. It is a true talent to deal with families and friends on such an emotional day and keep it all on track and he did it with style and finesse! He solved every problem that arose: sorting a new cake stand when the one I had purchased was too small, getting us a shout wipe when I smudged makeup all over the groom's collar, rearranging the toasts last minute because we're crazy ! He had it all covered!

Between the two of them they alleviated our planning stresses and made it a perfect worry-free day! We honestly could not have done it without them!

Best Decision Ever!!

We are obsessed with Courtney and her team at AtE. From the moment we talked to Courtney and asked her, "Are we crazy for planning a destination wedding in six months?" and she said "Definitely not!," we knew we were in good hands. From afar, she guided us confidently through a process we knew nothing about, making brilliant recommendations while also allowing us to live out our vision to the fullest. She never questioned or judged our ideas - rather, she enhanced each one with great suggestions and swift connections. Every single suggestion Courtney had was accurate - throughout the process, we found ourselves constantly saying "Of course it's right, Courtney recommended it!"

Our friends and family thanked us for being so calm on our wedding day, and we told them all it was because Courtney and her team were on top of it. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect wedding day. When I got a scuff on my wedding dress, Courtney was there to buff it out with a Shout wipe. When my dad fell on the steps before the ceremony, Courtney practically was there to catch him (and never tell me about it! Don't worry, he was fine.). When we almost ran out of rosé, Johnny was there to ease the maid of honor's mind, assuring her he would make it work or get more - then he found an extra case. Everything I needed and more

I was referred to Courtney and her team from a friend of a friend. My fiance and I had recently moved to Australia and were trying to plan a wedding in San Diego. I'm so glad we had Courtney by our side during this experience. I have two memories that stick out for me: 1) Courtney accompanied my parents and sister to our tasting with MIHO (YOU MUST HIRE THEM AS WELL) and guided them throughout the whole process. It was amazing to hear how much they enjoyed her company and advice throughout the tasting. They still rave about how great she is :). It made me feel so good to know they were integrated into the experience. 2) At the rehearsal, Courtney pulled me aside as I had a very panicked look on my face and asked what I was worried about. I listed everything that made me feel overwhelmed and she basically took it as a checklist and completely removed it from my shoulders. I remember the exact feeling after the conversation - complete relief.

I'm glad you found this page and I hope my review offers a glimpse into the true value Courtney and her team provided during our experience. There is no way I could have done this without her and the day I walked in to see our creation I wanted to cry because it went above and beyond what I thought was possible.

Best day ever thanks to ATE!

Words can not express how thankful we were that we chose Courtney and her team to be our wedding planner. She was super easy to work with and would have absolutely died without her. Right from the beginning I knew she could bring my vision to life. She was there every step of the way and responded right away with any email and texts from me asking a billion questions ! She put my mind at ease whenever a situation presented itself.
Day of we had a couple obstacles that arose and she dealt with them as a true professional. Everything came out amazing and it was so fun having her and Johnny around. I can not say enough good things about both of them!!
ATE has so much experience with venues and vendors in the PS area that it would be silly to hire anyone else but them!!

Hiring Courtney and her team at After the Engagement was the BEST decision my husband and I made after we got engaged and started to plan our destination wedding in Palm Springs. I still remember the very first call we had with Courtney (before we decided to work with her), and how she explained the process, our options, and answered all our questions - we knew instantly we needed to work with her and could trust her to help us create one of the most special days of our lives. My husband and I live in New York, so thinking about planning a destination wedding from afar and under a year felt a bit daunting. But Courtney made us feel at ease and we knew we could count on her for every last detail. During the process, Courtney guided us every step of the way. We had to bring in every single vendor (florals, tables, chairs, lighting, etc) and Courtney was totally on point with every single vendor she recommended based on our budget and the vibe we were going for. Courtney is extremely easy-going, as a great sense of humor, and is so accommodating. We knew she truly listened to us. The day of our wedding we were blown away - she and her team exceeded our expectations (which were already very high!) and everything was absolutely PERFECT. She coordinated every last detail to make sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. It was a day I know we will never forget, and our friends and family are still telling us months later how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to. If you are planning a destination wedding in Southern California, I would highly recommend reaching out to Courtney before you get too far into the planning process.

My husband and I live in Chicago but with family on both coasts decided to have a destination wedding near Pacific Beach in San Diego. Since we were unfamiliar with San Diego, we found researching vendors online was extremely overwhelming. We sought personal recommendations so altered our approach to first find a local planner.

Courtney was recommended to us by a friend, and hands down, was the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding planning process. We signed up for partial planning with Courtney, which meant she provided vendor suggestions, reviewed contracts for us, and provided overall guidance throughout, but really swooped in to handle every last detail the month before our wedding through the day of the event. From the very beginning of our working relationship, Courtney took the time to get to know us and truly listen to what we envisioned for our wedding day. Without fail, for a year and a half straight, Courtney answered every one of our emails within 24 hours, but most of them within 1-2 hours! She was organized, providing us with a timeline, as well as a list of recommended vendors.

Courtney always made herself available to us whenever we had a question, and was our trusted advisor the whole way through. We've never met anyone as hard-working as Courtney. Through the wedding day itself, Courtney puts her all into making sure her clients are happy. Despite living in two different cities, Courtney made us feel like fast friends. Despite our due diligence of several interviews, my husband and I knew Courtney was our perfect match before we even spoke. Even through her website we gleaned some of the absolute "must-have" qualities that she proved time and again to have in spades: organization and efficient communication, style and a bold sense of humor, a clear grasp of what elements mattered the most to us on our wedding day, a down to earth and reality-based attitude, personality and connection with us like we were old friends. She really was my dream/fantasy planner. I found myself repeating to friends and family, "She just gets it." There were times I was almost embarrassed by how much I was gushing about enjoying working with her and the entire process of planning. She provided us with perfect-match vendors, shaped a reasonable budget and negotiated with pricier vendors, she kept me calm and allowed me to let go of unnecessary traditions or elements that really weren't needed, and she was consistently very attentive to questions. Our wedding day was truly without a hitch, with all of the important elements in place. It was a dream day beyond our expectations, from which we are still reeling months later. Now that it is over I miss commiserating with her. I always heard that the planning process is very stressful. It doesn't have to be. Courtney and her team will see to that.

When my sister got engaged I knew planning the wedding was going to be challenging. Our family is huge and so was his side. They were on a budget and wanted it all. I work in the wedding industry as a photographer and have for the last 10 years. I knew from the moment she asked me for help that she had to hire Courtney. The money we spent hiring Courtney and her team was ultimately the biggest money saver we could of had. She hooked us up with rad vendors (some that discounted their services because they love her so much). She encouraged us to hire more servers and told us when to cut back on beer. She is a pro! She's done this so many times that she knows what you need before you do.

The day of the wedding was perfect. The room was just as my sister imagined it would be. After the Engagement nailed her vision. Everyone had a blast! All 250 guests had a blast! My family who decorated and cleaned up for my wedding didn't have to lift a finger. It was truly amazing.

This was easily the best decision we made! Thank you Courtney for being that gangster of weddings we love!

If you are not seeking a traditional wedding, look no further. If you are hoping to enjoy a stress-free planning process and worry-free day, Courtney is the gal for you. I have a good amount of event planning experience at my job and probably could have thrown together a pretty decent party, although I doubt I would have survived to see it, perishing from a massive panic attack somewhere along the way. I cannot stress how wonderful it was to hand the reigns over to someone who "gets it," who understood my vision, and who executed it to perfection with what I would consider minimal guidance on my part. (She's so great, I actually got to be kind of a lazy bride - I KNEW everything would be taken care of.) I also have a tendency to worry extensively about minor details and it was really comforting to be able to contact her at a random hour and get a timely response explaining some weird thing I was thinking about. She had an answer for every insane question I asked and is a total pro - she is well versed in just about every possible scenario and was able to provide us different possible outcomes so we could decide the best course for us.

Courtney is so worth the investment, it's not even worth pondering...unless you really like drama, because there is absolutely none with this fantastic lady. I would recommend her over and over again, and I am eternally grateful to her for allowing us to enjoy this special time in our lives without a care or worry in the world.

Quite honestly, hiring Courtney was the single best thing we did for our wedding. First of all, she has an amazing personality and is so much fun to work with. She is responsive, listens to your ideas, and then gives feedback as to how to make it work. She is realistic and gives great advice. Courtney also turned all of the planning into reality seamlessly. I will never forget walking out to see the finished wedding venue for the first time and wondering how Courtney could have possibly done all of that, and so perfectly. In fact, she made our plans even better.

Courtney and her team were AMAZING! We really couldn't have done it without them. We are from DC and had our wedding San Diego... Courtney helped us find great vendors at great prices within our budget! She gave us options, helped us set up skype convos, helped us look at contracts, and even emailed the vendors we decided not to go with (which was great to have taken off my plate). Courtney is amazing!!! I purchased the all-inclusive package. Courtney is professional, timely, and very knowledgeable in the industry. She had answers to all my questions regarding vendors, timeline, etiquette, and best practices. Her recommendations for photography and DJ were superb. She gave us a list of vendors that she has worked with and we preformed interviews and picked the ones that meshed with out personalities the best. Knowing that she has worked with all the vendors in the past and had good experiences with them gave me great comfort. There were no issues (that I was aware) on our wedding day. She made sure we stuck to our timeline and hit all our marks. Our wedding was beautiful and exceeded my expectations and dreams. I don't know how people plan weddings without a planner!! Hiring Courtney as our wedding planner was the BEST wedding decision we ever made (other than choosing to get married, of course!)! Courtney really held our hand throughout the engagement process - helping us pick AMAZING vendors (giving us great descriptions on why each vendor would suit us), doing almost all of the communication to the vendors for us, reviewing our contracts, orchestrating the whole timeline, making sure our food was EXACTLY what we wanted, and taking care of EVERYTHING on our wedding day. She is so on top of everything - we had a marathon on the morning of our wedding that had road closures, and Courtney sent out alternate routes for our vendors the night before the wedding...it didn't even occur to me to even think of that!! On our wedding day, she took care of EVERYTHING...I really mean EVERYTHING. I honestly don't even know if something wrong happened at the venue on our wedding day, because Courtney took care of everything so we could TRULY ENJOY our wedding day with each other and with all of our guests - her and her team even packed up EVERYTHING for us so we didn't have to do ANY cleanup after our wedding! At our food tasting, Courtney wrote down EVERYTHING that we liked about some dishes, what we thought would improve the dishes, and so forth...She made sure that our venue tweaked everything to make sure the food was exactly what we wanted...we didn't even realize we could do that!

If you're on the fence about hiring a planner...don't be! You want your special day to be as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests...and that's what Courtney will do for you!! She is SO AWESOME, such a BADASS (she is not afraid to say what you're too afraid to say to a vendor), and she is an amazing person to work with. Honestly, the only regret I have is that I didn't hang out with her ALL THE TIME during my engagement - I would have spent every weekend hanging out with her if it was up to me!! :)

Where to start... Let's just say I have never before used the word "Amazing" so many times in one day! Courtney is AMAZING and so are her staff! I am a professional wedding gown designer, in the industry for over 20 years, know a thing or two about weddings, have a binder full of phone numbers for event planners, and had my pick of professionals. I chose Courtney Tibbetts and her company, After The Engagement, for my own daughter's wedding, based on her reputation in the industry as a "get it done" and "no nonsense" professional.

As the Mother of the Bride, Planner of the Wedding, and Designer of the Bride's and Bridesmaid's gowns, let's just say I had my hands full! I thought that because I have the "Martha Stewart" gene and am a decent party thrower, I could do this by myself...wrong! I forgot that I also wanted to ENJOY my daughter's wedding, too. That's when I realized I needed a professional coordinator.

I hired Courtney and the rest was wedding success! She handled everything from vendor coordination/communications, timelines, and rehearsal, to day of setting up and take down, managing all event staff, catering, bartender, photography, dj, et al and escorting guests...even comforting the bride when needed.
I was so busy having fun at my daughter's wedding, because Courtney and her staff worked so seamlessly behind the scenes, that I was completely unaware of what she was doing... it just was a perfect day...pure bliss!!!

I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work, but plan to try by referring her and her wonderful staff to all of my brides and friends. I told her after the event that I wished she could come and live with me...I miss being pampered and stress free! Oh well, at least there was the wedding day!

Courtney at After the Engagement was awesome. I will admit to being one of those people who was not convinced that we needed a Wedding Planner. I’m very organized and have definite opinions of what I want so I was really having a challenge in understanding why we needed a planner.

Well, from our first meeting it was clear that Courtney would ‘enhance’ what we wanted and guide us but not take over control. We agreed to a package beyond a day-of so we could leverage all that Courtney had to offer. This wound up being one of our best decisions.

Courtney was easy to work with and get in touch with. She responded quickly and met with us when/where we needed. She had great recommendations for vendors and advise on how to pick them. She provided us with an overall timeline of what needed to be done when, and periodically checked in to make sure that we were making the progress we needed and staying on top of the key items. I learned to look forward to her reaching out and checking in on things.

As the wedding got closer we were in touch with dozens of little details that we did not know would come up. She was always ahead of things and always had such great energy, support and enthusiasm! We got to the point where I was very glad that for the actual day we would have Courtney there to keep an eye on everything and everyone and was completely comfortable that she would make sure we had the day we wanted and planned for, what a huge relief!

On the day before the wedding she was there to gather all of our ‘stuff’ and do a final walkthrough with everyone and clarify who needed to be where and when. It was time to step back and let Courtney do her thing. Our wedding was a wonderful day and ran beautifully. Courtney and her team at ATE took care of everything and we enjoyed the full day.

If you’re considering a wedding planner, do it. And if you need to know who, definitely choose Courtney and the team at ATE and you’ll be in excellent hands!

After the Engagement was the BEST possible choice to help us with our wedding. We highly recommend Courtney and her team.

Courtney coordinated the most fun event we could have hoped for. It’s more than four months behind us, but we are still receiving compliments from our friends and family - it was the most fun wedding they had been to in years!

Courtney is this great combination of down-to-Earth and laid-back, yet very responsive and detail oriented. We hired her for partial planning, less than a year before our date. She did a great job of helping us prioritize how to spend our $$$, and she made sure we didn’t sweat the small stuff. She always presented vendor options and helped us narrow them down to who would suit us best. She kept our stress level low.

About a week before The Big Day, we heard from our officiant that he would not be able to participate in our ceremony. I called Courtney late at night in a pretty anxious state. Thanks to her awesome network, we were connected with new officiant (whom we loved!) the next morning. No sweat.

Our ATE package also included day-of coordination. Courtney and her team were great. Everything went smoothly. Our families only had to worry about showing up on time and enjoying the evening! The ATE team literally even packed my parents’ car with everything that had to be taken home. My parents were able to dance all the way through the last song and then they just had to drive off!

Courtney is truly fantastic. Exactly what you should look for in a planner.

I don't know where to begin, as is often the case when you're talking about someone extraordinary. That is Courtney -- extraordinary. I can't imagine planning our wedding without her or with anyone else. The day after our wedding, one of the first things I said to my new wife was, "I can't believe we won't be talking with Courtney every week anymore!" We found Courtney when we searched specifically for someone whose website demonstrated inclusivity for same-sex couples. We didn't want to give our business to someone who hadn't yet updated their marketing to reflect marriage equality (and it's hard to believe but even in Los Angeles this proved difficult). It was clear during our first phone date with Courtney that her inclusivity wasn't just good business sense; it was reflective of her value system. But this is just one of a hundred reasons why you should consider Courtney. Here are the others: she has VAST knowledge/experience of all things weddings. She's organized, responsive (her responsiveness/availability continually amazed me), professional, creative, thoughtful, fun, punctual...she's REAL. And she gives it to you real. When you ask for her honest opinion, she gives it to you (my experience is that some vendors tell you want they think you want to hear or sugarcoat topics/ideas/feedback because they don't know how to be honest/straightforward in difficult conversations). She has an unbelievable amount of resources and an extensive pool of relationships with vendors. Our wedding was a tad non-traditional because we had a ton of stations and activities for our guests and all this required a ton of setup and breakdown on Courtney and her team's part. It was flawless, people. Flawless. Our wedding venue (ceremony and reception) was a blank slate; it came with zero services so we had to contract for every single service. This required a lot of coordination on Courtney's part. Again, it was all completely smooth. Courtney far and away exceeded our expectations.

Courtney is a highly effective wedding planner and is extremely organized and professional. We had a destination wedding in a city where we used to live, so even though we had some idea of what we wanted, we needed a lot of help with on-the-ground logistics. We interviewed several wedding planners and Courtney’s personality seemed perfect for the job. She knew when to flexible when we were balancing multiple, sometimes conflicting needs but was also assertive in working with vendors, family members, and guests. She recommended excellent vendors that she had experience working with but also developed good working relationships with some of the new vendors we hired. She was very responsive, always answering emails within 24 hours, and gave us the extra “push” that we needed in finalizing the last minute details. On the day of, she and her team (including Ashley and Erin) did an incredible job of keeping everything on schedule and running so smoothly that we never had to really think about timing or transitioning between different components of the event. Courtney was also very professional in dealing with the multiple “personalities” that exist in our families and everyone left the event feeling thrilled with how well it went. It was only the next day that we started to think through all of the details that magically worked out, and realized that it wasn’t magic at all but rather Courtney and her team’s amazing work!

The first time I met Courtney Tibbets with After the Engagement, I was able to see her work in action as she was the wedding coordinator for one of my best friend's wedding. I was extremely impressed with how flawless the wedding was executed and knew I had to have After the Engagement coordinate my wedding when that special day came.

One of the many reasons we hired After the Engagement to assist with our wedding was having to take the guess work and research out of planning which tends to be cumbersome and unenjoyable. We called Courtney from After the Engagement in a bit of a panic after our original planner didn't work out, but boy did that work out in our favor! Courtney is fantastic; she was always immediately responsive by email, and in our stressful moments was there to help us out in making decisions (stylistic, logistical, etc.), contacting vendors, seating charts, and anything else you could possibly think of.
She had another event on our wedding day, but still helped us through the month of planning in incredible detail. On the day of, we worked with Ashley who is similarly awesome. She definitely had everything under control at all times, whether it was guests, gifts, food, sparkler send-off... literally everything. I believe that Courtney and her team might actually be superheroes in disguise. There is so much to say about Courtney and her team. They handled our entire day with ease. They were professional, courteous, and respectful in all aspects of our ceremony. My wife and I were lucky enough to have her as our planner/coordinator/boss lady of our wedding. She is literally a genius when it comes to planning a wedding. She handled any “bump” with ease but honestly, I couldn’t even tell you if there was an issue because we didn’t notice. Our wedding ceremony and reception were beyond amazing. The little details blew our minds. From the placemats she had made, to the bouquet holder she placed conveniently at our sweetheart table, to the easy access setup of the venue, it was magnificent. Everything ran smoothly, we had amazing communication between her team and our bridal party especially with the traffic that caused some guests to arrive late. I mention communication because we live in a different state than she does and for the months leading up to the ceremony, we cannot even mention a time where she did not communicate completely and openly with my wife and I. If I could do it all over again, I would hire Courtney in a heartbeat and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to plan their big day. As far as being “open” to all kinds of relationships, Courtney is not only open to LGBT relationships but she is a supporter of the community and prides herself on working with vendors that also respect and honor all types of relationships. She was a pleasure to work with and is an example of a true professional.

I was very, very glad that we hired Courtney as our wedding planner. She was highly competent, very responsive, and extremely organized. We initially were unsure about whether to hire a wedding planner at all, but she was well worth the money. We got the base package, which comes with day-of services, as well as a venue walkthrough, lots of organizational help, and unlimited answers to all our questions. It was a huge relief to have an experienced person available to answer questions like how much alcohol to buy and where to get my dress cleaned. I also felt that Courtney really understood how we wanted our wedding to go, and was very thoughtful and sensitive to our needs. Definitely hire her if you can! She’s great and you won’t regret it.

Hands down Courtney is the BEST of the BEST! Not only is she a wonderful person, but her skills working with her clients are detail-oriented and absolutely amazing. We hired After the Engagement to be our wedding coordinator and we were provided with exceptional service from the day we hired Courtney. Courtney was very responsive to all email inquiries through out the the wedding planning process. She provided very good vendor recommendations and answered any etiquette questions I had. During the month up leading to the wedding Courtney arranged the timeline and ensured all vendors knew where and when they needed to be somewhere. She responded to all the vendors questions and kept my in the loop. As for the day of the wedding I did not have to deal with a single issues it was all handled by After the Engagement. I can not recommend them enough..if you want a hassle free well run wedding After the Engagement is the right choice!!

Where do I begin? When we first met with Courtney, we thought we had it all figured out. The venue was booked and it included a lot but after a few quick questions, it became clear we needed her.

Courtney is super responsive which is a rare find in the wedding world. I am email dependent and it was nice to know I could drop her a note and she would respond very quickly. She is quick to supply ideas, offer tips and calm the nerves.

On the day of our wedding, Courtney and her team were so great. We encountered quite a few hurdles with the venue and she was able to navigate them. In fact, we felt so comfortable with the ATE team, we just let them make a lot of the judgement calls. She was able to serve as a great advocate for us and we were so appreciative. My dad even thanked her in the welcome toast.

If you're looking for an organized, flexible and responsive wedding coordinator, then Courtney is the one. Not to mention Briana and Ashley, members of the ATE team, were so helpful in getting everything organized on our wedding day. The wedding was beautiful, the party was awesome and we have the After the Engagement team to thank for that.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing, organized and talented Courtney and her team are! My wedding was everything I wanted and more thanks to all of them for their hard work, creative ideas and most importantly Courtney’s connections with vendors that were all within my budget. Some people always question, why do you need a coordinator and to be honest if you don’t get one, you will be asking yourself why you didn’t get one!
Courtney helped me so much; always replied immediately to my emails and text messages (and I sent a ton). She was always there to help me make important decisions too, especially when I was looking for someone other than my groom, mom and bridesmaids.
Courtney is full of unique ideas, helpful planning tools and kept me organized throughout the entire planning process. If I ever got stuck on what to do next…she always had the answer.
On the day of the wedding, Courtney and her team took full control which allowed me to relax and enjoy every second of my wedding day. I didn’t have any doubts they would give me the perfect wedding but looking back, they gave me more than perfect.

We reached out to Courtney when we realized late in the game that we wanted and needed a wedding planner. And thank goodness we did! Courtney is a total BAMF and her team is killer too. They are total professionals and you can fully trust them to get the job done. We know without a doubt our day was so amazing due to Courtney and her team’s hard work.
Courtney is extremely detail oriented and personable. She made sure to help us identify our top three priorities for our big day. Courtney aka #mtwoodsonthug was seriously a heaven sent. She was there FOR us and WITH us every step of the journey towards our big wedding day. As soon as I found her Ice Ice Baby video via a link I found on Facebook I immediately knew she had to be "The One". Courtney helped keep us on track and gave us great suggestions (pinterest images and links galore) for reception ideas, she was flexible whenever we needed to meet in person, she responded within a 24-hour period whenever we emailed her, she encouraged us when we felt overwhelmed but held us accountable when we were slippin’, she knew tons of awesome vendors which we ended up hiring a couple of them for our own wedding, and she was completely professional. Our favorite thing about Courtney was the fact that she's so personable; with Courtney, you get the best of both worlds: professional, knowledgeable, creative, genuine, fun, & sassy ride or die chick who all the while was on top of her game and never skipped a beat when it came to the details of our wedding. On the day of our wedding, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. All the things we wanted our wedding day to look like and have, she made happen. Our guests told us after the wedding that they were impressed with how organized our wedding was and that everything had a time and place without the typical wedding drama. We owe all of that to Courtney.
It was a lovely journey and we're so blessed to have had her be there by our side. That's the best thing about having a planner as wonderful as Courtney; she was just herself which in turn helped us be ourselves and the end product was our perfect wedding day. She was the best investment we could have ever made and in the end what we got out of it – the memories and her friendship - is priceless.

Courtney and her team were so easy to work with. I didn't have to worry about anything and from the very beginning she just "got" me. I went with the first vendor she suggested for everything and the day of I was able to sit back and relax because if anything went wrong, she handled it before I noticed. Even after the wedding is over she keeps in touch with her brides which shows me that she really connects with all the couples she works with.

I HIGHLY recommend her for wedding coordination and have already given friends her info for their events. Her creativity and free spirit is a great addition to the most exciting day of your life.

Courtney and her team were an absolute joy to work with. One of my favorite things about working with Courtney was just how easy she was to get a hold of and how quickly she responded to any question I had no matter how big or small. I hired her only for the "day of" coordination, however, if I could go back I would have hired her for more. She has a very calm demeanor which was a nice compliment to my crazy family and bridal party. She made sure everything ran exactly accordingly to plan at my wedding, and if there were any problems that arose I certainly never heard about them! I'm very grateful to have hired her and I can't imagine having a wedding without an event planner as good as Courtney! Courtney from After the Engagement was beyond amazing!!! We knew we wanted a wedding planner, but knew we still wanted to have 100% input on the event. My husband travels for work Monday-Thursday, I work full time, and our families are not in San Diego... We knew we needed help!
We first met with Courtney about 13 months prior to our wedding. We hadn't picked a venue yet, so she gave us feedback and suggestions on places we were looking at. We finally had our sights set on a venue, and she provided us with 100% honest feedback regarding the venue. This invaluable support lasted throughout the 13months through all our decision making.
The best part about Courtney's service is her promptness on email response. Sometimes we would need to make decisions right away, and she always had a response back within a day, but most the time within a couple hours or even minutes!
She also gave us excellent suggestions for other vendors within our price range, without the pressure of feeling like we were offending her if we didn't go with one of them (though we did!)
Even down to the wire and the week before the wedding, things were still being decided. Courtney put all our worries at ease and always went to bat for us to get things figured out.
I know without a doubt I could not have had 'my perfect' wedding without Courtney.

I ran out of room for praise for Courtney! :) We hired Courtney to help us with our destination wedding in September 2012. We live in Seattle and were planning to get married in Southern California, so we knew we needed some help. From the minute we chatted with Courtney, we knew she was just what we needed to keep us on track and stress-free. Originally, we thought we didn't need a planner because we "could just do it ourselves" since I've done event planning and the venue had a day of coordinator included. I quickly learned how much work can pile up and how many etiquette/logistic questions come up that perhaps your MOH or mom wouldn't know the answer to.

I've said this to her and my husband - my favorite part of wedding planning was working with Courtney! She has an amazing level head on her shoulders, is super organized, communicative, has great connections and is just plain fun. Like other brides say, I'd always receive a response back from Courtney within a couple of hours, even if I was just sending her something as an FYI or to get her opinion. We had a couple of stressful situations leading up to the big day and she was able to provide perspective on everything from changing our last names, deciphering odd ball vendor emails, and offer guidance on issues with our hotel room block and floor layout. She recommended vendors to us that we loved (Exquisite Blooms and Sumi's Oven) and searched high and low to help us research officiants when we were in a last-minute bind. Courtney also worked very professionally with vendors that came as part of our venue package and helped them stay on track, too.

I was 100% calm the day of our wedding since I knew Courtney and Brianna would make sure the wedding ran smoothly. I literally was floored when I saw everything set up just like my Pinterest boards and how everything came together so seamlessly. Courtney and her team is the best and I highly recommend After the Engagement to all brides.

If I could give Courtney 10 stars on each of these I would. Truly, I don't know how we would have done it without her, and she was PERFECT in each of these categories. First and foremost, Courtney is a true professional. She takes her job seriously, and as a result, I felt completely relaxed from the first moment I talked to her. I just knew that whatever happened, she would be able to handle it, and that she would guide me through all the wedding stuff that I was still a bit baffled by. We went with the most basic of Courtney's packages, and it was an unbelievable value. The best money we spent on our wedding by far.

Courtney is probably the most responsive person I have ever communicated with - she responds to virtually every email within minutes if not seconds. It's truly amazing! This was especially helpful for us since we were planning a California wedding from the East Coast. And she was so helpful with all manner of questions - etiquette, decor, timing, etc. My husband and I joked afterwards that we wanted her to stay on as our 'life coach' so we could email her any time we had a question about anything in our lives!

The day of the wedding Courtney had everything in hand - she and her assistant did all of the decorating for us (we supplied the decorations but gave them quite a bit of leeway to use them as they saw fit) and everything was just beautiful. It was as I pictured it, but better, and I *never* could have done that myself. During the rehearsal the day before, the bride and groom who were getting married in the venue that night were setting things up for their wedding, and Courtney said to me, "I hate to see a bride doing the work herself on the day of the wedding - I want to tell her to go enjoy herself!" That is totally her philosophy, and with Courtney on your team, you know you can do exactly that. I cannot recommend her enough, and you will be so glad you hired her - don't hesitate!

Courtney was full of creative ideas, was beyond organized, and was helpful in every possible way. My wedding day ran so smoothly because of Courtney Tibbets from After the Engagement. I am so happy she was there to help me throughout this process. Courtney provided my sister with the wedding of her dreams. Everything was set up perfectly and looked so beautiful. Courtney was AMAZING throughout our entire planning process and wedding day! She responded to my emails and texts within a matter of minutes. When it's down to crunch time in your planning, these quick responses are so helpful! She gives a recommended vendor list when you sign a contract with her, so we checked out her recommended vendors and others in the area. We ended up using a number of the vendors she recommended because they fit our needs and budget. We were so happy with these vendors as well! We did need some help with a couple of vendors for communication delays, but once we asked Courtney for help, within a matter of hours we had what we needed. She was informative, fun, and a pleasure to have on our wedding day. There were of course a few minor hiccups during the wedding and Courtney handled them quickly before I even knew! I only found out after the reception ended. My now husband and I trusted her completely through the process and it really paid off! I hired Courtney as a wedding planner for the weeks leading up to, and the day of the wedding. She was completely on the ball with keeping us on schedule and making sure all was going smoothly. I can't imagine planning a wedding without Courtney. She made everything SO easy and stress-free. From the day we hired her to the week after the wedding she has been amazing. She is knowledgeable, fun to work with, and efficient. She responded to my emails within minutes and always made me feel like I was the only bride she was planning a wedding for. We had issues with our venue initially and she was so quick to find us another (much better) venue! All of the vendors she recommended we use were just as great as she was. She has a lot of great connections with vendors.
She also offered advice and opinions without trying to change our vision.

Courtney is amazing. She makes planning a wedding SO much easier and was a tremendous help every step of the way. She recommended great vendors that suited the type of wedding that we were looking for. The day of the wedding she handled everything flawlessly so that we were stress free and able to enjoy the celebration!

Choosing to use After The Engagement to plan my wedding was one of the best decisions I ever made. I got the "Cupcakes" day-of wedding planning package, which (as advertised) was really much more than day-of wedding support. In the months leading up the wedding, Courtney would immediately respond to any emails and/or texts, provide invaluable suggestions, coordinate/negotiate with vendors, and give me reminders. Additionally, Courtney was completely vested in the wedding and our concept so if we really wanted something, she would figure out how to make it happen. For example, we wanted to cover the hotel pool with a see-through dance floor, which turned out to be difficult due to some unique challenges with the venue. Courtney made this happen at a very competitive price. She coordinated with pool cover vendor and the hotel so that I did not have to stress. On the day of the wedding, Courtney and her team were virtually invisible as they worked hard to make the whole day seamless from start to finish. She also had little mojitos ready for the wedding party as soon as the ceremony was finished. And, lastly, the photobooth (which Courtney had to modify to make it fit within the venue space) was a hit!! I highly recommend After the Engagement to any bride who is looking for a hands-on wedding planner who will work tirelessly to ensure your wedding day is stress-free and exactly as you have imagined it. Courtney of After the Engagement rocks! She is so passionate and enthusiastic about what she does, and it really shows! We had the perfect wedding day and it was all thanks to her!

We hired Courtney early in the process and she helped us hone our mess of ideas into a cohesive and fabulous design. She has great taste, and really understood our vision so I completely trusted her recommendations because I knew she just "got us." She kept us calm and sane throughout the planning while keeping us organized and on task. She was always extremely responsive by e-mail, phone and text!

She helped us to assemble a team of absolutely incredible vendors that she had personal experience working with and knew matched our style, budget and personalities. Her recommendations for our venue, officiant, photographers, florist, DJ and numerous other vendors completely MADE our wedding day - there is no way we could have selected such perfect vendors without her guidance! Courtney communicated our vision to our vendors in a way I really don’t have the lingo or knowledge to do, which ensured that everything really came together the way we envisioned it!

During our rehearsal and on our wedding day, she kept everything moving smoothly with a smile. We had a large and complicated family for her to wrangle together and she was professional, authoritative, organized, but always friendly and calming to have around. Courtney made sure everyone was exactly where they needed to be at all times, so there were never any awkward “ok what do we do now” moments during our day. And with the minor glitches that inevitably occur, Courtney was there and ready: she fixed my broken bustle, and quickly dove in to clean a spilled drink off my dress. We were able to truly enjoy our wedding day because she was so on top of everything else. Her assistants on the day of were also fantastic.

Hiring Courtney was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made. She really goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. And she is just FUN to work with - we truly had a blast planning our wedding with her! I already miss her!! We are so grateful to her for helping us create a wedding that was so perfect and “so us!” I cannot recommend Courtney highly enough! She's the best of the best!

Courtney is AMAZING! We could not have planned the wedding of our dreams without her. She totally got our style and vision from the very beginning, which was evident in the inspiration board she made for us. She responded to all my questions promptly and was always ready with awesome vendor recommendations. My husband and I can be indecisive at times, so we looked to Courtney a lot for even the littlest decisions, such as which box to use for our enveloped gifts. Her expertise and wonderful advice always pointed us in the right direction. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and, if there was a glitch, we haven't heard of it yet! Courtney set everything up on the day of, made sure everything ran smoothly, and was there till the very end. We also used her photobooth which was a huge hit and tons of fun!

Courtney is the best decision we made. Words can't express how grateful we are to have someone like her by our sides throughout the entire planning process. I highly recommend her to anyone, anywhere!

Courtney was invaluable during the whole wedding planning process. She responded to emails almost instantaneously, gave me lots of great ideas and recommendations, and was always there the day of. She was efficient, always calm and made me feel better when things were running late, etc. Plus she's just a really nice person, and you can tell that she really loves her work! It was amazing to have someone around who could take care of all the little details on the day of so that I wouldn't have to worry about them! And my bustle broke during the reception, but she was right there to fix things :) Would definitely recommend!

Courtney is AMAZING!!! I'm definitely a very detail oriented type of person and it's hard for me to let go of doing things myself however, I was completely confident in Courtney!! The day of the wedding I let Courtney handle everything and she exceeded all my expectations. She is super responsive and replies to all my e-mail questions within minutes or same day. Courtney even helped me with selecting a new DJ one month before my wedding when I decided I didn't like my original DJ vendor. We also used the photobooth services which was fun for our guests! Hire Courtney and you will be able to enjoy your day! In fact my last words to Courtney from the limo was - Did everything just go as planned? I couldn't believe nothing went wrong!

Hiring Courtney was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding. It would have been a whole different event (bad!) had she not been there helping us. Her help and guidance leading up to the wedding and the day of was absolutely invaluable. Every time I had any questions or ideas beforehand she always was quick to reply with reassurance or great suggestions. My husband and I were utterly clueless when it comes to weddings so with the rehearsal and the wedding itself we could always look to her to see what to do next so everything ran smoothly. She is like a wedding planning ninja, it's awesome. We were so impressed with how she's always running around making sure everything is perfect but you almost never saw her until she seemed to pop up out of nowhere and remind you its cake cutting time in ten minutes and here's how you do it. She totally gets it. She's such a cool woman and so easy to work with and get along with. It felt like we'd hired a friend we'd known forever. Most importantly, she's damn good at her job. Every little detail, every little thing you didn't even think of, she's on top of it. I can't praise her enough, she's the best!

After the Engagement provided me with the ultimate level of service. Every time I emailed them, Courtney Tibbets would respond within a matter of minutes, she is amazing! I live in Los Angeles and was planning a wedding in San Diego so I needed recommendations for nearly every vendor. After the Engagement was able to provide me with excellent vendor recommendations and some vendors even gave me a special discount because I was referred by After the Engagement. Courtney Tibbets has a great reputation in the wedding industry and I can definitely see why. I would recommend After the Engagement to anyone planning a wedding. There are many different packages to choose from that will fit your budget. I hired them for "day of" coordinating but I got so much more than that. Courtney helped me throughout my entire 10 month planning period and always acted very happy to help me and give me her advice. I would have been lost without her. Three weeks before my wedding my sister and I drove down to San Diego to meet with Courtney and our caterer and florist. I was feeling very unsettled as we drove down there because it was mind baffling to me how everything was going to come together. After meeting with Courtney all my doubts were put to rest. My sister and I both said she was our fairy godmother. I wish I could get married all over again just to work with After the Engagement again, but my dad and my husband would kill me ;)

Courtney is an excellent wedding coordinator. She is super-duper fast to respond to emails and offers very good advice when you need it, and since we planned our wedding from out of town this made our jobs a lot easier. Her recommendations for vendors turned out very good and they were also very affordable. On our actual wedding day, we gave her everything to set up for the ceremony and the reception and this was done flawlessly. Additionally she did a good job of directing people on our actual day. She also cleaned up EVERYTHING after the wedding and gave us back the stuff we asked her to, packed it up very nicely, and had it sitting in our room when we came up. We have nothing but good things to say about her and you won't be disappointed if you hire her.

I wish there was an option to give 100 stars here because Courtney made our wedding day AMAZING. It was a blast, everything looked beautiful and was perfect - it was the most fun night of our lives! If it was not for Courtney, there is no way everything would have gone the way it did - it was seamless and fantastic and I did not have to worry about anything because Courtney had everything covered.

Hiring Courtney was, hands down, the best decision I made while planning my wedding. For over a year, she answered my emails no longer than 2 hours after I sent them, gave advice, put together inspiration boards, found vendors, put together a budget and so much more! We had a pretty challenging venue, and Courtney fought for us to get what we had envisioned. She always had what we wanted in mind. On top of Courtney's professional work, she was also sweet, funny and did an amazing job of keeping my mind at ease. I wasn't nervous, at all, about our day going smoothly (and it was perfect!).

If you want a professional, talented, kind, hard working and dedicated wedding coordinator, I highly recommend you hire Courtney. It'll be the best decision you will make!

My wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life. And it couldn't be possible without Courtney of After the Engagement. One of the biggest reasons I booked her as my wedding planner was her quickness in responding to my questions, emails, or calls. Even if it was just to say she would reply back later with more details later. In our first meeting, I thought I was being slick by showing up early so I could scope her out but she already beat me to it and was waiting for me! Courtney is easy to talk to and I always felt like she understood my side. I could easily rant on the ups and downs of wedding decisions or wedding drama and she was there to pick me up. It was a true blessing to have her by my side. Then on the wedding day itself, everything went so smoothly and she was on top of EVERYTHING. Her assistant was friendly and helpful as well. We also decided to go with her Photo Booth package and MAN was that a hit! Everyone LOVED it. I have a pretty fantastic scrapbook because of those pictures. It was definitely a plus that her husband operated and helped out with that. I felt surrounded by love on my wedding day and it was a nice coinkidink that 3 of our vendors were husband and wife teams. I recommend Courtney and After the Engagement for your wedding planning and Photo Booth needs 100%.

We used the photobooth for our wedding reception and I cannot say enough about it! It was the best decision that we made. The booth attendant, Jasper, was awesome. Everyone said he was a lot of fun and great at getting people into the booth. The guestbook was given to us at the end of the night and I LOVED reading it the morning after our wedding. What a fun way to remember all of our guests. Courtney was awesome throughout the whole planning process. Very good at responding, very professional and always seems to have a smile on her face. Thank you so much for providing us with great memories we will always treasure!!

Courtney is exceptionally good at what she does. I planned my wedding in about 6 months and did most of the planning myself. I met with Courtney about 3 months into the process and she answered every question I had. For the rest of the planning process, she made me feel so much more comfortable when something came up that I was unsure about. She helped evaluate proposals and found me better companies/prices on vendors such as chair rentals and our DJ.

We communicated mostly through email and every email I sent was responded to almost immediately. As the day got closer and more and more details had to be attended to, Courtney was there every moment. She contacted vendors, confirmed timing, and created the day of timeline. On our wedding day, it seemed like she was right where we needed her at every moment. I didn't worry about a thing that day and everything turned out perfectly. She always had a smile and her confidence and personality were calming and effective.

We also used her photo booth, which was a hit and very professional "manned" by Jasper. Like every big event, there were one or two glitches, but she handled them professionally and I didn't worry about a thing or notice a thing while it was happening. We would hands-down recommend her as a fabulous wedding/event coordinator for any big day you are trying to plan.

Hopefully, we'll have a reason to use her services again soon!

Courtney Tibbets and her husband provided us with amazing, prompt, and consistent customer service for months as we planned our wedding, and our photobooth rental was a total hit at our reception! They were professional, on time, friendly, and very accommodating!! SO fun! I cannot recommend them enough! Our guests LOVED the photobooth and we totally appreciate having the guestbook that was included in our 3 hour package -- absolutely worth it and part of the fun!!

Spectacular! Amazing! Fairy God Mother! I can not stress enough how fantastic this woman is. I could not have ever imagined a wedding better, more perfect than the one we had because of Courtney. We planned the wedding from out of state and every step of the way Courtney was there to answer any questions, no matter how big or small, no matter what time of the day or night. Every vendor that she recommended not only was professional, right on point with our budget, but was outstanding. Our family and friends came from 4 different states, were all different ages and all said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. This is all because of Courtney. Our wedding fell on the first big winter storm this year for San Diego. Huge rainfall, and our wedding...was on the BEACH! Courtney organized our getting a tent at the last minute so that we could still have the wedding we imagined. She kept me calm and I KNEW that everything would be fine because she was there. She will not let you down. Not possible. I put all my faith in her and could not be happier.

Courtney was amazing. She found the solution to everything, and was so creative making our wedding very unique and special. Our venue did not allow for open flame, so instead of the unity candle ceremony (which I was freaking out that we couldn't do), Courtney did some research and found something called a Love/wine box ceremony, and she even preformed the ceremony for us! It was perfect! We also had her photo booth there, which everyone LOVED. She really was able to handle everything, she did it all for us! We totally loved her, she fit right in. She does a great job of making everyone feel comfortable & I didn't have to worry or stress about a thing. I would recommend her to everyone!!! Thank you Courtney, you really made all the difference!

Courtney is now a personal friend because of the service she gave pre-signing of our contract and thru the last minute of our most special day. Since we planned our wedding from another state, being unfamiliar with the area we used and abused Courtney for vendor suggestions and she was more than happy to accommodate our requests. We ended up hiring almost every other vendor from her personal relationships and suggestions to match our needs and ideas. Courtney displayed professionalism in every situation engaged with us and with vendors potential and actual that she dealt with on our behalf. She was completely reliable. Responses via email, text and phone never took more than a couple of hours at most. She made our wedding day truly come together and go smoothly by getting flower estimates 2 weeks out after we had gone back and forth, and the day of-she was in more than one place at once making sure everything got done with her own eyes.

Courtney and her Husband were absolutely amazing!!! Everyone at the wedding and still to this day can't stop talking about the photobooth and what a great idea it was. They loved the set up and all the fun props to play with. And I LOVED getting a disc with all the images after the fact, that was a good laugh haha! She was an amazing cost, so affordable and for what she gave and the experience it was WAY worth it! AMAZING!!
