My husband and I live on the East Coast and to plan a wedding in Hawaii was a little daunting for us. Kalona changed all of that. She did all the heavy lifting—finding musician, photographer, making suggestions which would have never occurred to us.
On the day of our wedding, she arrived early to ensure that guests (as well as us) would not get lost.
She is so much fun and in an instant, I felt like she became my lifelong friend. Trust her for all your needs. You won’t regret. I loved the whole experience. Get the ukulele. And my photos—have blown me away!A Rainbow in Paradise Weddings's reply:

Destination wedding made easy!
We thought our destination wedding was going to be so difficult to plan but Kalona really made it easy. We were given options to choose from for music, flowers, location, etc. and Kalona arranged it from there. We didn’t have to worry about contacting vendors, getting quotes, or coordinating anything. She took care of it all. She was very responsive and worked hard to give us our perfect day. All of her recommendations were excellent, especially dinner at Hau Tree. From the initial phone call to officiating our wedding, Kalona was warm and personal and calm. She took care of everything and had or found answers the few times we had a question. The photographer we got through her was amazing! The cake was simple but SO good! -

Kalona is an amazing wedding coordinator and she made the process of planning a destination wedding fun and easy. We started working with Kalona just before the pandemic, and for the past two and half years she helped us deal with rescheduling the wedding, and navigating the travel process with COVID guidelines. We would have been very stressed out if it weren't for Kalona! We really appreciated her ongoing communication with us over the past couple of years. We finally were able to have our wedding last month, and the day was perfect! The photographer, caterer, venue, and entertainment that she recommended for us were outstanding. My wife & I renewed our wedding vows for our 10th Anniversary. Kalona was so friendly & made our day memorable. They are LGBTQ friendly. We would highly recommend them. Kristen Hooks was our photographer & she does amazing work. We didn't have wedding pictures taken when we were first married. Now we have beautiful pictures from our renewal. -

Kalona and her team worked wonders for our destination wedding. Planning a wedding from over 2000K miles away is not easy, but Kalona made it effortless. I contacted a few other wedding planners on the island but after speaking with Kalona, I felt she knew exactly what I had in mind. From there, she took care of everything, (photographer, flowers, music and hula, location, setting up, transportation, even the Luau dinner that evening for all our guests! She was prompt with her responses and all communications were clear. Our wedding turned out more than I had envisioned. Our guests loved the Hawaiian ceremony and the beach location was perfect. Our wedding turned out exactly as we had hoped and we were relaxed and stress-free because Kalona took care of everything for us. We highly recommend Kalona and A Rainbow in Paradise Weddings. -
Adrienne Sent on 05/07/2018Kalona made my wedding planning a breeze and my wedding was soo beautiful, way better than I even expected. She responded to my emails quickly, she even brought the cornhole game free of charge for my guests to play. Her decoration arrangements were amazing. About 2 weeks before the wedding, I discovered different furniture that I wanted instead of the one that I had already booked. When Kalona called the vendor to request the change they told her no, but instead of just telling me I was out of luck, she went in person to the vendor location and talked to the owner of the company to make the change. She really went the extra mile for me which was so appreciated since I was out of state. She is also very honest and thorough. She refunded me extra money I had accidentally paid her even though I didn't notice.

Sabrina Sent on 05/07/2012We used A Rainbow in Paradise to hire our officiant, and a firedancer for the reception. They were so perfect! The ceremony was short and sweet and Ryan Kalama had such a great energy and presence. He went with the flow, did an amazing job of feeling the energy of our guests and playing into that. It was the perfect Ceremony!!!
And the firedancer was SUPER AWESOME!!! He brought his whole family along with him, nd his kids got up and did a firedance, he taught us how to open a coconut, and the meaning of the coconut juices on our wedding, and he climbed a palm tree in 2 minutes!!! My friends are still posting on Facebook about it!!! LOL!!!
