About

Yellow Rose Carriages have been clip clopping downtown Indianapolis and for weddings and events outside of downtown for over thirty years. Our trucks and trailers transport carriages to the suburbs or nearby cities.

Our carriages are white with different colors of velour or naugahyde upholstery. Upholstery colors are royal blue, royal purple, burgundy, emerald green, or white naugahyde.

Our special Baraat horse may be ridden by the groom to the ceremony in complete costume imported from India for East Asian weddings.

Custom events and tours are our specialty! Call to speak to a customer representative seven days a week.

We had a magical Disney princess horse and carriage exit finale outside the Indiana Roof Ballroom at the end of our wedding!! We had an open spherical carriage that was lit up. The company and driver coordinated with our Ballroom coordinator to ensure everything occurred in a timely fashion.

We hired Yellow Rose Carriage to take us from the Indiana Historical Society to our hotel at the end of our reception. We originally scheduled a pick up for 11 p.m. Everyone was tired, and the majority of our guests left earlier than we anticipated. We called Beth at Yellow Rose Carriage and asked if we could move up our pick up time. She was very responsive to our request, and it turned out not to be a problem. The driver (Windy) and horse (Phantom) showed up at the new time. Our family and guests that were still at the reception loved the fact that we were having a carriage ride send off. It was a lot of fun and a nice way to wind down the evening with just the two of us after a long day.

The carriage ride itself was great. It was about 30-40 minutes and followed a route through downtown Indy. We rode by the Statehouse and around the Circle, then meandered through the rest of downtown. My only advice would be to ask where the route is going if you are using this for a wedding related ride. We did not like the part through Georgia Street where all the bars were with patrons spilling out. It was loud and noisy with lots of drunk people. Not exactly what we anticipated for that portion, but we didn't think to ask about the route beforehand. Luckily, it was only a couple of blocks, so no big deal. Windy dropped us off at the hotel and took our picture before we got out of the carriage. Overall, a great ride!
