Quality of Service: Amazing. Vida's awesome-- she was willing to work with our packed schedule for the big day and communicated really well about how we could all stay fresh and not burn out. She also gave me some really good tips about what to wear for engagement photos and which outfits would shoot well. Our family & friends loved our engagement photos, and everyone has been saying that they can't wait to see the wedding photos! We've seen just a few that she's edited so far, and they look awesome. We can't wait to see the rest!!!

Professionalism: Vida was fantastic with shooting the ceremony in my church. I was a little concerned about photography/videography distracting from the ceremony, but she and her 2nd shooter did a great job of staying behind the scenes while still capturing all the important moments.

Flexibility: I was a little late on getting the wedding day schedule finalized, but she was really flexible and gave us some great suggestions on how to make things flow smoothly a couple days before the wedding. The reception schedule didn't go quite as planned, but Vida just went with it and was still laughing and celebrating with us by the end of the night. We're so thankful!

Vida was amazing to work with! She was very accommodating and helpful especially on the wedding day! Our pictures came out absolutely beautiful and we've been getting so many compliments from family and friends. Every time I look at our pictures it takes me right back to my big day and I want to do it all over again! Our wedding pictures were even featured in two wedding blogs thanks to Vida!

I can't say enough about Vida and her work! First of all, I insanely planned a sunrise elopement. Vida took it on as if that was perfectly normal, and above and beyond that, she and her assistant helped the groom and I set up our ceremony, even in the wee-hours of the morning. She was there before we even arrived, just checking out the location and scenery and getting a visual feel for everything! (in the dark, before 6am!) The groom and I decided to get married privately on a beach, and Vida and her assistant graciously served as our two witnesses.

Vida's photography style was so easy and nonchalant! She wasn't constantly telling us to pose or do anything in particular, which resulted in more natural shots, and allowed her to capture the fun we were having just enjoying our beautiful wedding morning on the beach. It was easy and unimposing. Vida was so flexible and accomodated all of our requests for pictures/backdrops, and she made each and every one of them come alive! Not only did she accomodate our request for a rush picture that we could share with our families, she had our photos up on her blog in a week, and our ENTIRE GALLERY in a week and a half! UNBELIEVABLE! (by contract, she had 8 weeks to prepare the photos).

What stands out about Vida is her love of working with natural light, which she captures in such amazing ways. I really wanted to capture the uniqueness of a wedding at sunrise, and even having experienced it, I am left in awe of Vida's eye for capturing light and making each photo vibrant, yet unique. She also has a wonderful eye for details so despite my own disorganization, Vida captured everything beautifully and created coherence in every photo that she took.

Vida was very flexible with creating custom pricing for our wedding needs, and we were thrilled to work with such a brilliant emerging photographer. I really couldn't recommend her more highly or more enthusiastically.

Vida is very professional and lovely to work with. Her photos are consistently more and more stunning each time we shoot with her and I have been nothing but satisfied with her service.

Vida is awesomely fun and captures absolutely gorgeous shots. She's young and modern, and it shows in her work. She is sure to have you laughing and having a great time if you're nervous in front of the camera, and she even made my sometimes very serious hubby look handsome. Highly recommended!

I would HIGHLY recommend Vida! I think she did an absolutely fantastic job documenting my wedding. She really listened to me when I explained what I was hoping to get from her and she brought some great ideas to the table as well. She was masterful in how she blended into the crowd during the reception so that she could just capture what was happening.

I booked Vida Carson Photography after finding her through a blog. I viewed her website and instantly fell in love with her photographic style. I liked the pictures she produced for our wedding but would not book her again. Here's a summary of why:
PROS: 1) Talented photographer, lovely pictures.
2) Vida was quite responsive during the booking phase.
3) She was flexible in terms of hours and images, initially we were set to have a small, non-conventional wedding and Vida was willing to work to create a package that worked for us.

CONS: Big difference between being a talented photographer and a good business person.
1) She arrived 20 minutes late, luckily we scheduled portraits before the ceremony but 20 minutes is a long time on your wedding day when time is of the essence. She blamed traffic and while that was probably true she knew the location of our wedding (North Jersey) months in advance.
2) Several months after our wedding, we decided to order a wedding album with Vida. We paid for a 12x12 album & 6 months later received a smaller (& cheaper) 10x10 album mailed directly to us from Vida. She promised to refund our money for the error twice. Still haven't received our refund or any response to numerous texts or emails.
