Aaron and his team are fantastic to work with. As a photographer we often find ourselves competing with videographers for angles and shots, but not with Showcase Video. We have a wonderful synergy with all of their staff and we feed off of each others creativity. You will not find a better team of videographers in the area.
It is always a pleasure working with Aaron and the SVP associate videographers! They are very professional, easy to work with, and loads of fun! SVP has a phenomenal final product at a great value. I look forward to working together on many future weddings and events!

Additional Questions and Answers

How much education & experience do you have in wedding videography?

Most wedding video professionals have been though some type of educational training & experience in video production. You should be aware that many people in the business of videotaping weddings are amateurs. As with relatives or friends, such well-meaning individuals often do not have the technical background, experience or equipment to do the job well. Professional videographers work under very challenging conditions. By the very nature of a wedding they cannot control the lighting, the composition or physical positions of the participants. They are literally at the mercy of their environment and only through experience do they know how to adapt to variable situations and still capture the emotions and facial expressions that an amateur might miss. The individual you hire should also be skilled at working with everyone involved in the wedding.

I want to be sure to hear our vows on the video. Will this be possible?
A knowledgeable videographer will utilize professional wireless microphones, generally worn by the groom and placed near musicians and readers.

Do you offer multiple camera coverage for the ceremony?
The answer should be yes. A three camera production gives different views of the same event or allows your videographer to capture different activities that may be occurring simultaneously to create a more interesting video. Some examples would be: The reaction of the grooms face as the bride walks down the isle and the parent’s reaction during the vows. Good editing integrates the camera footage together selecting the best views from each camera.

Do We Receive All The Video Footage From The Wedding?
You paid for it - So you should receive it. Some companies offer edited video along with all the raw footage. However most companies do edit the footage and give you a much more polished look than just giving you the raw footage. There are other companies that shoot in a template format that offers you all the original footage and is also edited. This is a way to see everything and also have a professionally edited video.

Tips and Advice

FINDING A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
You can do a lot of researching online. Most professional videographers have web sites that feature sample clips. Conduct a web search for wedding videographers in your area, than browse their sites. Another resource is referrals. Try to contact companies that your banquet facility or photographer like to refer. Anyone can place an ad in the phone book, so don’t be shy to ask other wedding vendors in the industry “who would you hire”? Look at the work of as many videographers as you can to form an idea of what you want your own video to look like. Wedding shows are also a good place to start. Finally, make a selection based on the craftsmanship, experience, and personality of the videographer. Your videographer will be working closely with you on one of the most important and also one of the most stressful days of your life. Your videographers people skills will be just as important.

BOOKING

Don’t delay booking your videographer until the last minute. The earlier you book your videographer, the more likely it is that the company you want will be available. It isn’t unusual to book a year even two years in advance. Most video companies adjust there prices annually. The benefit of booking earlier then later gives you the advantage of a locked in price.
