Rich and his second photographer had us in tears laughing.

My husband and I are not photogenic, but somehow he managed to capture not only breathtaking pictures but also be our guide throughout the day/evening. When our coordinators were pulled elsewhere, Rich stepped in to coordinate all of our family portraits and ensured we captured what we wanted to.

His artistic genius captured some incredible photos of us and the emotions of the moments of our guests (many of which are kiddos who are notoriously difficult to wrangle for photos - but we have SO many great ones now) . He also helped me keep my sanity given our wedding day happened to be an unseasonably cold day (day before was high of 80s and day of was low of 38!)

Rich is an amazing photographer! We reached out to him for both our engagement and wedding photos. He exceeded our expectations with the quality of his work and his ability to make even awkward ducks like us feel comfortable. You can't fake that kind of quality. I would absolutely recommend Rich for any event you may need photos for.

I would give Rich 100 stars if I could!! He was absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding, as he was always professional, responsive, and so fun to be around. Starting with our engagement shoot, Rich really knew how to make my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, and had endless amounts of ideas for poses. When it came to the wedding day, it was almost like Rich was a part of the family. Everyone loved him. We had a very large family and bridal party, and he was very quick in getting through all of our portraits and group shots, which was important to us. It felt like during the reception, he was everywhere. He didn't miss one shot. On top of it all, he had all of our photos for us just a few weeks after the wedding. I could go on and on about Rich, but I would absolutely recommend him to any bride in the DC area. You will be so happy you did!

Rich is an amazing photographer and person! He was great to work with and went above and beyond the entire weekend of our wedding! When I saw sneak peaks of photos, I had goosebumps! I relived the day all over again. If I ever need a photographer in the future I will be hiring Rich again, as well as recommend him to all of my friends and family in the NOVA area :)

Rich was absolutely amazing!! He was so much fun to work with for our engagement shoot and our wedding! Everyone in our wedding party loved him and his assistant. Our album is full of stunning pictures that make us want to get married all over again! Rich has a GREAT and HUMOROUS personality, which is so important when it comes to making a bride and groom feel comfortable in front of the camera!! Rich was always quick to respond and very easy to talk to! Highly recommend him!!! He's the best!

Rich and Marie were both excellent to work with. They were flexible and rolled with the punches throughout the day - which included heavy rain and thunderstorms. The pictures turned out beautifully and they captured so many great moments.

We used Rich Kessler for our engagement and wedding photos and he did an amazing job. Both him and his assistant that day were excellent. They joked around a lot to help ease the tension that can happen with weddings and made everything go smoothly. I'd highly recommend them for anyone needing a wedding photographer for their big day. He has a good range of package options. I went with their signature option which included the two photographer for 12 hours of coverage, engagement shoot, guest book for signing, my weddinng album, and copies of all the images edited on a dvd or USB. I found his pricing very reasonable in comparison to other photographers I was looking at.

Rich is fantastic. Our engagement photos were great - we took him to a venue he hadn't been before and we had a great time on the property, finding spots for photos and Rich was really in his element posing us, letting us be ourselves and capturing really great moments. We could tell he was enjoying the time as much as we were. The same was the case for our wedding - he captured the entire evening perfectly from the formal wedding photos to the dancing, family interactions, everything was really great - his work is top-notch and incredibly affordable. He provides you with a USB drive after the wedding with all your photos on them - a really nice benefit.

We felt extremely lucky to have Rich Kessler as our wedding photographer and highly recommend him. Some key things that stood out about Rich:
Style – Rich has very bold crisp photos that captured our attention. He also had excellent timing and framing of the shots. Looking through Rich’s albums it’s not like you are just looking at snapshots, but rather you are actually there in that moment.
Price – The venue we used had suggested photographers that were 3 times the price for the same packages that Rich provided. Even price aside, we preferred Rich’s photography style. I asked Rich why his prices were so much cheaper, and he told me he set his prices to what he felt was reasonable.
Presence – When I first asked Rich about his style for wedding photography, he said he worked really hard to remain invisible. This kind of through me off at first, but I then thought about every other wedding I had gone to. Many wedding photographers are often jumping in the middle of everything going on with flashes blaring in your face, or stopping special family moments to corral everyone into a photo. With Rich, it’s funny but I don’t remember seeing him that much at the wedding. That being said, when we got the photos they were amazing photos of very intimate moments. I don’t know how he does it, but Rich does an amazing job of not being seen but still providing very personal photos.
Customer Service – With my wife and I both in grad school, life is a little busy. That being said Rich has been extremely helpful working around our busy schedules. We really appreciated his patience and going out of his way to get our wedding album to us.
Tact – I felt I should put this point in here because my wife was a bridesmaid in a different wedding where the photographer was extremely rude. Rich was wonderful to work with. He was extremely supportive, funny, and worked with the moment rather than trying to control the moment. He is the type of person you want there on your wedding day.

Rich was absolutely wonderful! From the initial consult to our big day he was very knowledgeable and easy to work with, with a great sense of humor. We're very pleased with how our photos turned out- both the formals and the more creative shots. Rich had some great ideas for poses...even though it was freezing cold on our wedding day, he still made the outside shots work!

The price was very reasonable considering the quality of photos and the time we got (and his assistant, Emily, was an added bonus). The two of them were punctual and professional while also being friendly and accommodating (even posing for selfies with our guests).

We had access to the photo gallery three weeks to the day after the wedding. Can't beat that!

I would absolutely recommend Rich Kessler Photography to any bride in the northern Virginia area.
