When my sister hired Stephanie to shoot her wedding in May 2010, Stephanie was one of the most sought-after photographers on The Knot. And for good reason: the photos Stephanie took at my sister's e-shoot and wedding were breathtaking. When I got engaged in summer 2013, I knew immediately that I wanted Stephanie to shoot my wedding. However, I learned that she had moved to Ecuador. I found her blog and sent her an email with the hope that maybe she had moved back to South Florida. I was thrilled when she told me that although she still lives in Ecuador, she travels to Florida frequently (she has family here) and would love to shoot my wedding!

I booked Stephanie, and she booked a trip to Florida for my wedding in February 2013 (at no extra cost). We did an e-shoot when she was in town for another trip, and the photos were stunning. My wedding photos were absolutely beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie Sokol to other brides. Although she lives in Ecuador, she really is readily available to shoot South Florida weddings (she serves worldwide). Had I not known about the wonderful work she did and her recognition in the wedding photography world before she moved, I might have been hesitant to hire a vendor who lives so far away. However, her living abroad presented absolutely no issues; she travels to Florida frequently anyway to visit her sister and nephew, so she has very strong connections here.

Photography was the most important thing to me at my wedding, and Stephanie's photos are exactly what I hoped for.

Stephanie is a wonderful person and a fantastic professional. Both of us were very shy of the camera and attention but she helped us through the wedding day and made us feel comfortable. Our pictures came out absolutely great; a few of my friends thought some of the pictures would have fitted Vogue magazine pages just fine :) We were very lucky to have her with us on our special day. We hired Stephanie for our engagement and wedding pictures. We could not have been more pleased with Stephanie. From the minute we saw her pictures online, I was enamored with her work. I love how she uses a combination of black/white and color pictures and somehow she just knows how to find the best lighting. For our engagement shoot, she even worked with our dogs. The pictures came out AMAZING...we made them into a book through MyPublisher (which Stephanie recommended) and used it as our guest book. Our guests loved all the candid shots of us and our dog. Stephanie was very professional, on-time, and considerate. We have to give her a big thanks for withstanding the crazy summer FL heat during our reception.

Stephanie is amazing! We are so pleased with our wedding photos. She captured so many wonderful moments, and every photo looks like a work of art. Stephanie was also incredibly nice and very easy to work with throughout the planning process. We knew we wanted to hire her after seeing her beautiful work on her website, but her laid-back demeanor and passion for her work really sealed the deal. She truly loves what she does. On the day-of, we never felt like she was intrusive, and in fact, we hardly noticed she was there. Plus, she was very flexible -- we had wanted to take our formal photos on the beach before the ceremony, but we had to stay inside because it was drizzling. Once the weather cleared up, she took additional photos of us and our bridal party outside.

One thing to note about Stephanie is that her style is very photojournalistic, so she doesn't spend a lot of time taking posed, formal photos. If you want formal photos with specific people, you need to tell her. She warned us about this ahead of time and suggested that we make a list of all of the formal photos (combinations of people) that we wanted and have a member of our bridal party be the "director" (call out the different groups that were needed for each photo). This worked out really well for us and the photos look fantastic, but I know it's a different style from other wedding photographers. Also, she's a one-woman shop and edits every photo by hand, so she takes a little longer to get the photos back to you. They're definitely worth the wait, though!!

Stephanie Sokol is hands down the most talanted photographer in the area. This woman has an eye for color and is truly gifted in her craft. Stephanie knows how to capture the moments during a wedding without being overbearing and in your guests faces. Aside from her incredible skill, Stephanie is also a wonderful person. She is flexible and understanding and has been my favorite vendor to work with. I never felt like another bride to Stephanie, I felt like an actual person. Hire this woman, you will not be dissapointed!

Stephanie was amazing to work with. Besides the time in the hotel room, I never even realized she was there! When I recieved my pictures back I was blown away and how many there were and the AMAZING shots she got! I could not be happier with my pictures. My perfect day was captured PERFECTLY!!!!!

I liked Stephanie the first time I met her because she is really down to earth and laid back. She did our engagement pictures in October and we loved them! I think they really turned out great and she did a great job at getting me and my husband to relax and just have fun. For the wedding, she showed up at the hotel I was getting ready at at 2pm and just went to work. She was just kind of in the background, taking pics, and you didn’t even know she was there. Then we went to our venue to do bridal party pics before the wedding and she found a great spot and really just got everyone to relax and have fun. Then she did the ceremony and reception and stayed til almost the end. She was a real trooper and just had a great energy around her all day. So, now we just wait to get back the pictures, which I am sure will be great!

Stephanie was fantastic. My fiance and I had been looking for photographers for a few months when we first started planning, and her photos on her website just stood out as exceptional - she was exactly what I was looking for - her photographs were on the side of a candid feel (though she did do the traditional church photos with us) and they did look more like art. She was willing to travel to another part of the state for our engagement photos, and stayed with us all day! She was so flexible with our wedding day, also - we had asked her to hang out for a bit after the reception was over and she was more than willing to spend some time with us and our friends and take a few photos in a more casual atmosphere. Every time I e-mailed it was an almost instant response - she always got back to me within a few hours. The photos from our e-shoot were beautiful, I cannot wait to see our wedding photos.
