Editing is one of our strong suits. We do alot of different effects on our pictures, including aged looks, sepia, black and white, saturation effects, soft focus, viginetting, etc.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We've been in just about every lighting situation you could imagine. We bring portable lighting with us to all of our weddings, not just an on camera flashgun.
Is your media preference film or digital?
100% digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
We have 2 photographers and an assistant. We don't outsource our photography to other photographers so that we can maintain complete quality control over your wedding photos. In other words, our portfolio is 100% our work, and if you book us you will get us, not some other photographer you've never met.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, as listed above, you book us and you get us, no subcontracted photographers.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Rarely. We've done so in the past, and will only do so if there is no chance of a conflict.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
First of all, if we book the date we will be there. However, to answer the question...yes, we shoot with 2 photographers and an assistant, so if one of our photographers is on their death bed, the assistant can fill in for one of them. If an "Act of God" occurs and we all cannot be there we have a number of professional photographers as contacts that can help out.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Multiple cameras and lenses, plenty of memory cards, plenty of fully charged batteries, portable lighting, etc.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We have wedding packages that contain specific time frames. Some packages have a set number of hours, some offer full day coverage.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, our hourly rate for overtime is subject to change, but at the time of this answer it is $100/hr.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, our travel fee is subject to change, please see our website for details.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Depends upon time of year and how many images are taken at the event, but typically 1 to 4 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofs are available via a website proofing gallery. Many packages also include a disc of photos.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, we retain copyright for all photos; however, many of our packages include a print/duplication release so that our clients can print and copy their photos.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, depending upon the details of your package.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Primarily fine art albums (coffee table books), but we do offer a full range of options.
